If I must. I'm so happy that I just bought this travel size. Never have I ever put anything on my fine hair that felt so awful. I have curly hair that's pretty long (about halfway down my back), and I've found this product to be a complete waste of money. I was on here reading reviews hoping to find a good leave-in conditioner that would keep my hair both manageable and prevent it from feeling like straw. At first, when I applied it I thought it was going to be just what I was looking for, but then my hair dried and I found out it was just as bad as the generic stuff you can find at a dollar store. Then again, it may be worse. By the time it was dry I couldn't pull a brush through my tangled, glued together, hair. It was so bad it started pulling bristles out of my boar hair brush which I had to pull out of the tangled messes in my hair. One use and I'm convinced this has to be returned. I have medium length hair, I’m a guy, and after growing my hair out for the first time in 30+ years, I’ve searched for 3.5 years now and have tried so many different products. I don’t know my hair type, but it’s salt and peppered, about 75% gray. For those that have gray hair, it’s a different animal than the thick hair I had years ago. When I use this stuff, I put 3 pumps in, work it through and my hair is noticeably different immediately. I noticed it stays wet far longer than without, so I end up lightly blow drying for about 1-2 min. I then put a firm holding cream in my hair and the volume I get by adding this stuff, blow drying a few min, is amazing. I always read these things about this product or that product creating volume, and I’ve tried literally dozens. None added noticeable volume except this one. I am so in love with this product, I’d pay twice the price and it’d be worth it for what I get out of it.
I went into Sally's and asked the young lady could she recommend a detangling conditioner for my thick dry brillo pad feeling hair. She handed me this Tangle Slayer and said if I didn't like it bring it back. 4 hours later here I am writing a review. This stuff melted the tangles right out! I could not believe it! I can't tell you how many thick Wet combs I have broken trying to comb through my hair and to use this conditioner and the comb glides right through. I'm looking for more products from this line. I'm a believer and I'm totally impressed!

Great smell! Thick and moisturizing, without feeling heavy or greasy. However, as much as I would like to praise it further, it’s moisturizing effect lasts only about 24 hours. It doesn’t have a significant amount of alcohol, yet its moisturizing effect wears off. Therefore, it cannot be my “go to” for my winter scalp. I don’t like the idea of having to constantly reapply between washes. It’s great on natural 4C hair, but not moisturizing enough for dry winter scalp.

I've been using this leave in conditioner since I was 14 years old. I am now 39. I used to love it because I never had to brush my hair and it made it very soft. After a quite a bit of years later, it stopped working. Probably because I used it everyday. I bought the biggest one and it has literally lasted me 6 years so far. A little goes a long way and if you use too much your hair looks greasy. This also has a dual use. It can be used as a lotion on the skin as well. I would classify this conditioner as a good daily conditioner for normal to slightly dry hair. I don't think it moisturizes enough to be a "treatment" or deep conditioner. After shampooing, I apply it, then leave it in my hair while I wash my body, then I rinse it out. I have super short, baby fine dark blonde hair with highlights. I adore Paul Mitchell Neon products. It is scented with a very fruity peach bellini type scent and it is very strongly scented. If you don't like fruity or strongly scented products then beware. I love a strongly scented hair product because my hair picks up environmental odors like nobody's business. I use it every other wash so that it doesn't dry my hair out too much. It works fantastic in combination with the conditioner and working spray. The shampoo always lasts me 2x as long as the conditioner so I'm going to start buying 2 conditioners. I don't ever want to be without this shampoo and conditioner. It really adds so much frizz free volume to my fine & thin hair. This is a good leave in cream for softening and managing hair. It is light and not very oily. I use it on my hair after I wash it and in between protective styling so that my hair doesn't get real dry and brittle. It softens the hair, strengthens and hydrates it. My hair drys out easily and this is good while it's still moist and as far as softening but it doesn't prevent the dry spells as my hair can go back to as if nothing was put on it in like 4 hours and no I do not re-apply this cream. I don't want build up. I give it 4 stars because although it doesn't last long it does keep hair manageable and if your hair is curly it will keep the form after its drys and have your curls soft.maika.r
When I first used this leave-in I didnt use it as directed because I was basing my judgement off of looks/texture of the product. My hair was wet then I appied the product and thats when I realized having your hair wet vs damp waters down the product. So with this leave-in please follow the instrustions when applying. Upon second use and application it didnt feel moisturizing to my strands. I really had to work the product into my hair. Yes, it has alot of oils in it, yes it made my curls pop a little, but it felt like Nivea lotion (when it first came out idk about now, I dont use that lotion) texture and all. If you know, you know. It doesnt feel as tho its sitting on my strands but it doesnt feel as tho it penatraded my strands. I have been using the Shea Moisture conditioner for approximately two weeks and was provided them by #trywithtopbox as a #freeproduct for my honest review. I have fine, thin, waist length hair that is naturally blonde starting to go grey, that is prone to split ends and I would describe as normal to oily. I don't wash it daily but every 2 to 3 days it's just too much work to do daily. I used the conditioner as directed and found that my hair combed out fairly easily even while still wet which was great as it tends to tangle quite badly when I don't use a good conditioner on it. My hair was soft and shiny and manageable. The container for this feels slightly greasy when I handle it during use even after rinsing them off. The conditioner bottle uses a pump as a dispenser which is great but I couldn't get the original one that came with the bottle to function. I replaced it with one I had but I noticed that the thick conditioner dries and forms a plug that takes several pumps to force out. Overall I would say this was a good product that worked as advertised and if someone was looking to try this I would recommend it, I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me given the frequency with which I wash my hair.MargarethaM

I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I don’t know if it was just mt bottle or a design flaw, but I ended up switching the pump with another bottles I have with a thicker tube, and have not had any problems since.RoseyB37

So I’ve used this once retwisting my two strand twists but tried it last night on my daughter’s type 4 hair on wash day. OMG.. it literally melts into both of our hair, has slip, and softens the hair. Her hair is a bit more coarse than mine so for her hair to take to it so easily, I’m shook! I’ve avoided hair lotions because I’ve found them to be too heavy and leave a white cast or so.. but not this! Now I want to try the other stylers and deep conditioner in the collection. It’s my wash day so I’ll try everything in the curl box plus the lotion again :). For reference: her hair is normal, 4c. Love this product because it doesn’t leave a build up on your hair or white flakes. I’ve used other products that do and I hate it. Soon as I wash my hair with the Almond moisturizing shampoo which by the way suds up nice, and really cleans your hair, I use the almond leave-in conditioner by design essentials my hair comes out beautifully manageable. I use the daily moisturizer every 2 days to keep it moistures. I love basically all the products it’s a must to use all the products together for your hair to to come out looking beautiful. This is my honest opinion I have found nothing in the stores or over the counter that works and, I spent a lot of money trying. Design Essential products are very reasonably priced where you can afford it, plus they always give you coupons to use towards your purchases so far I’ve been happy with my purchases, the time it takes to get to your home delivery, as well how well the products perform and my hair is between a 3 and 4 a mixture of grades in my hair. This is my go to for moisturizing hair, esp my hair. It is not watery and doesn’t make your hair sticky it is lightweight with a very mild slight pleasing scent like candy. It also provides shine, a little goes a long way and it keeps my hair moisturized esp several days after a blowout or in humid hot weather. Sticky weather will not cause it to grease up. In my opinion it adds shine and helps keep my styles in between blowouts shiny and soft. It’s worth every Penny if you can find it in stores

The last time I had my hair cut, my stylist was complaining about how dry my hair was. I have been straightening my naturally (very) wavy hair for quite some time, so I wasn't really surprised to hear this. I was looking for a deep conditioning treatment that would help with my hair's dryness, and thought this would fit the bill. It has some great natural ingredients and smells amazing. However, I wasn't very thorough in reading the ingredient list, and found out when I re-read the ingredients that it contains a couple silicones, which I try to avoid due to the fact that they require harsher detergents to remove from your hair, and I use very gentle cleansers, most often using a cleansing conditioner, which is very ineffective at removing silicones, which means this product may lead to build-up or greasiness. Anyhow, I decided to give the product a try regardless of this. In the shower, I cleansed my hair as usual, then applied this product generously. It seemed to take quite a bit more product than usual to create that "slip" that most good conditioners give me. But the product smelled amazing. I left it on while I showered, shaved, etc., then rinsed with cold water. I could tell after rinsing that the conditioner did not do its job. After air drying as long as possible, and styling as usual, my hair felt considerably drier than it did before using the product! This really upset me, so I will not be using this product as it is intended again. Instead, this conditioner has been repurposed as a shaving cream for me.Lauren
I have tried a lot of products for my hair, that have promised to do anything and everything to make it more healthy – few live up to the hype and Carol's daughter is no exception, First of all, the items in the carol daughter line are crazy expensive, and for the price I really don't see anything all that great about them. This product in particular, did not perform any better than cheaper no-name products that I have used in the past. One thing I must say is that it did smell AMAZING. Everywhere I went people were complementing me on the smell, I would almost buy this product just as a hair perfume, because the smell has some real staying power. I have heat-damaged 4c hair (which I'll be trimming in a few weeks), and I was looking for a product that could, if not reverse it, ease some of the damage I had done to my hair so I have used everything from conditioners, shampoos, and this hair smoothie (I also used the CD's shampoo and conditioner and was also unimpressed). The hair smoothie did not provide any additional moisture to my brittle damaged sections, at least not any more moisture that I have noticed with cheaper products. I have type 4 hair with low porosity. It’s incredibly hard to find products that work well in my hair. The favorites of the hair community don’t do anything good for my hair and it’s very frustrating. This leave in is great. It allows me to detangle my hair easily with my fingers and makes my curls pop. I first use a herbal spray with honey that I made and then a pea sized amount maybe a little more and then finish with a sealer like Aunt Carole’s Pomade (also purchased at Target) and my hair is great. I bought Aunt Jackie’s Quench after falling in love with Aunt Jackie’s Curl La La Defining Custard. I’m so happy I did! Quench delivers all that it said it would! It’s moisturizing, leaves a good slip. It also helps balance the crunch factor if you use gel as the final step. I layered Quench, then Curl La La, (scrunched) then a bit of gel. Perfection! At first I tried Quench on it’s own. Beautiful “beachy” look all day long. In total, I love how it leaves my hair moisturized, shiny, soft, yet still keeps my 2C/3A curls pretty defined. I received this free from Influenster. This is a bit different from other moisturizers I use because you can apply this on wet hair. It has a strong aloe smell and it adds moisture to my hair which makes me want to add this to my regular hair routine. The texture is almost like a shampoo and hair cream mixed together. It helped reduce frizz but it didn’t help detangle my hair. I have coarse hair and but I think that any hair type could use this for added moisture. I like to have lightweight products and glad that I tried this. The smell was awful just like the gel, like a bad cologne, I can't quite explain it. I have dry, brittle, 4C coily hair. It wasn't moisturizing enough for my hair, it was too lightweight to have much of an effect. My hair needs something thicker. I think it's a great concept to have a cream to serum product but this mag be better for people with less coily, thick, dense, or coarse hair. It provided decent slip when brushing though. My hair is damaged from chemicals treatments including lots of bleaching and dying over the past few years. after washing and conditioning its usually very tangled and dry looking. It is also very frizzy but Carols Daughter Wash Day Deight Cream-Serum Moisturizer made it so easy to detangke after washing my hair. I put a quarte4 size in my palms and applied it all over. it smelled really nice and fresh. the moisturizer has Aloe and Glycerin in it. It is Paraben, Petrolatum Free. No Mineral Oil or Artifucial Colors. This is a great product I believe for all types but if your hair is Wavy, Curly or coily this is the right product for you. I plan on using this after washing may hair often. I love it and trust it so much that I will also be putting it in my child's hair since they have very curly and coily hair. they also get very tangled hair after wash and this will be perfect for my family also. Keracare Natural Textures Butter Cream is a moisturiser not a styling product. I found this product worked best when using a surface free moisturising shampoo and conditioner. I bought this thinking it was more for styling because I heard it gave good definition; this product does give good definition and reduces frizz, however found there was still shrinkage and my hair was still puffy. My hair is thick, but the product didn't stretch the curls at all and was a little heavy. I have used other moisturising products that stretches my curls more, but admittedly it does say it's for moisturising. I have purchased the defining custard for styling but heard this can be crunchy,so will apply the butter cream after. Hopefully the product will work better!Lilly
I don't know what was wrong with this product but it smelled awful. I've purchased this makers product a number of times and the smell wasn't over whelming and it was light with a floral scent. But this product smelled OLD! As if it had been setting on the shelf for a while and whomever needed to get rid of it due to it expiration date. I rubbed some of the product in my hands and there were clumps in jar. I don't know what the shelf life of these products are but this one was not good in my opinion. It's extremely difficult to find hair care products for people who are of mixed ethnicity. When you have very long thick hair like mine it can be a struggle to maintain. I try to look for a product that is natural and one I can recommend to friends and family. That's when I came across the Honey Daily Moisturizer and it was exactly what I was looking for. I really like the design of the label and that they didn't skip out on the amount of product you get as it's filled to the rim. After one use it brought my natural waves back to life and it left my hair super soft. I was able to run a brush through my hair without tearing my strands and my knots had almost disappeared. The formula is lightweight and doesn't have that sticky or heavy feel to it. One thing for sure is it did an awesome job at calming my frizz down which is mainly around the roots of my hair. I love that I can actually read all the ingredients on the bottle and that it's made with sweet vanilla, honey, and argan oil giving my hair the nutrients it was lacking. I am so happy I had the opportunity of trying this high-quality treatment masque. It left my hair feeling refreshed and very healthy. I have 3c hair and after using this mask, I noticed higher defined curls as well as frizz control. I was unsure at first whether this would work for my hair as the girl at the store told me it was for more of a textured typed hair rather mine. Regardless of the recommendation, I went ahead with testing this out. I was pleasantly surprised by it. I tried it a few times before writing this review as well. My hair is always dried out and I've tried many other masques in the past so I was open to seeing if I could find something that would work for me the first time, I tried I sparingly dipped my fingers in as I was worried it would be too heavy for my hair. When I finished, I noticed it wasn't enough product so the second time I tested it, I took a more generous portion and noticed it was much more effective. This mask provides quite the moisture. It's thick and spreads well. I could easily comb and rake it through my hair. I made the switch years ago to no longer use products with sulfates, silicones, petroleum or silicone. Those products provide short term results and end up weighing down my hair. I enjoyed the smell of this product and I find the tub to be quite large which will go a long way. I guess the reason for my 4* would be for the tub. I really like using these products and how my hair feels after using them. I ordered the whole set during the flash sale and when I received the products the shampoo, conditioning spray, and the conditioner weren't closed properly so most of the product was in the bottom of the box. I sent an email about the issue but I received another email for a link that doesn't work to open a ticket. No one has reached out to me and I have been sent the same link twice. My previous order the pumps on the bottles were broken. I just chalked that up to shipping but when the products are sent to you already opened, that's a whole other issue.Marcia W.
This is one of my top five shampoos for people who have a four c hair texture! The smell is amazing. It definitely gives off hints of pomegranate and honey which is the perfect snow combination. It provides a thick rich and full leather without having to use 17 pumps of shampoo. I Projects like that mielle products are parabens and sulfates paraffins and mineral oil all free. I will be the first to say that being that I have for sea hair this is not a detangling product. Moisturizing absolutely. Cleaning your hair it also removes all the impurities. I was a little disappointed when I received my black Friday package from Mielle. I have ordered before and have been pleased but this time it was like everything was thrown in a box and shipped. The box was so beat up its like the products could have came out and almost would have im certain had it been tossed around any more and I know that part wasn't so much their fault but I figured it would have been put into another box to ship to prevent that problem. The products had no confetti at least to soften how its thrown around everything was so greasy i thought for sure a product or 3 were leaking and also nothing was wrapped at least in bubble wrap considering how it was boxed up. Literally just thrown in the box any kind of way. I purchased this product on Sunday at Sally Beauty along with the restorative spray a d it has made my dry hair so soft and manageable. It has such a pleasant tropical smell that isn’t overwhelming but noticeable. A little product goes a long way and it’s not greasy but adds a moderate amount of shine and moisture which makes for a good balance. First off, this smells so good! I love the smell and the feel of this Shampoo. It is thick and a little goes a long way. Since I was washing out 6wks of Box Braid detritus, I needed all that lather. I liberally added shampoo and water to my parched hair and just luxuriated in the foamy, silky suds. My scalp was treated to a lovely moisture wash and massage (by me, hey only some things come in a bottle folks), and I felt my hair get squeaky clean, but did not feel like the hair cuticle suffered dryness for it. I rinsed it out and reached for the companion Conditioner because, I dont know how you do your hair, but mine will split up the shaft if there's no fat, oil, vitamins or fatty vitamin oils in it to seal the hair shaft and make my crazy ionic curly bonds behave, lol. All in all, I really enjoy this Shampoo. I was gifted a Sample by #influenster for #CremeofNature in a #voxbox and I really enjoyed trying it out. I did not need to use an entire sample for my past my shoulder length hair, it was thick, creamy but not un-sudsy and just a delight to work into and rinse out of my hair. No residual soapiness, no extra effort getting the lather out, rinsed completely clean. I am quite impressed with this line and would recommend it to any person of color, actually, any person of any color. I believe this company has products for living for all races. This Conditioner is so Creamy and so smooth, I needed way more than was in my sample, lol. I recieved an #incentivized sample of the Conditioner in a #voxbox for the #CremeofNature Pure Honey line. I adore this line! Amazing, but let's talk about the Conditioner itself. Water is the first ingredient, not some word no one can pronounce. There is Aloe, Shea Butter, Chamomile, Coconut oil, Silk Amino Acids, Panthenol, Honey, Olive Oil, Safflower Oil and much more inside. The oils and extracts baby your strands after Shampooing (hopefully with the companion Creme of Nature Pure Honey Moisturizing Dry Defense Shampoo for Dry Damaged Hair) and replace any moisture lost in the warm water cleansing routine. The exact oils replaced are easily drawn into the hair shaft and will plug cracks and damage so the hair wont break or split. The scent, yay, the feel, whoopee, the oils, yeah great, but how does it perform? Well my lovelies, this Conditioner is so nutritive, that if you follow directions and leave it in for the full 5 minutes then distribute by comb, rinse and style, you will find definition of curls, coils and waves AND softness and shine like you've not known before. I was really amazed at the softness and how my ends didnt need 6lbs of leave in conditioner to not feel like I was the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz! Using the Pure Honey Leave In Detangler, I was more than chuffed about my Pure Honey experience. This Conditioner is a definite keeper! Notes about the product. I needed about half again as much as was recommended, but my hair is super dooper parched and I need lots of Conditioner. I enjoyed the Conditioner but it could have been a bit thicker for a stay on for 5 minute treatment, I find that the rinse out immediately ones are ok being a bit on the thinner side, but when your hair is soaking wet the ends tend to get shafted in the conditioner game because of the water accumulation that takes the conditioner off the part of the hair that needs it the most, the ends. Other than this, this conditioner can be a game changer for many people. If you have a dry scalp in Winter, or anytime, try this line out! I have a relaxer but I prefer to use natural hair shampoos and conditioner on my hair because I feel like it is usually not to harsh on my hair. I actually liked this shampoo! The smell is amazing it has a nice hunny smell to it. One thing that I really liked was that a little bit of product went a long way. I received the sample packet of this shampoo (picture included). Usually I would use that whole sample packet and still need more because I have a lot of hair. I only used about 3/4 of the packet and washed it through my hair twice. So, I found this little gem at Walmart of all the places! I was looking for something that'd control nourish my coarse, frizzy hair. I'll admit that I wasn't necessarily expecting to find something I love so much! It doesn't weigh my hair down in any fashion I love, love, love the smell! It's such a nice fruity smell. However, if you're not into strong smelling products this is NOT for you. I also love that it didnt leave my hair feeling all sticky the way most gel based products do. I’m not a fan of hair spray at all, I don’t like the stickiness, I don’t like it getting on my face, I don’t like a lack of control over how much product gets distributed into my hair. I like this product because even though it’s a cream-type formula, it gives some hold to to my styles without weighing them down. It’s advertised as a heat protectant, but I like to put it in my hair before I do any heatless hair styles as well. I’m not the biggest fan of the smell, but it isn’t strong or overpowering. I have really fine, frizzy hair so I have a hard time finding products that work because most leave in conditioners or oils weigh my hair down too much. I was worried that this product would be the same but I’ve been using it for about a week now and so far I really like it! I concentrate more on my mid to ends of my hair as that’s where most of the frizziness and damage is and spray liberally, and then comb through to distribute. I’ve also been pairing it with the leave in conditioner (only on my ends). It’s helped with the frizziness while also adding shine without weighing my hair down. While my hair isn’t magically perfectly healthy again I do think this product is helping. I use heat on my hair pretty regularly so I like that it has some heat protection in it too. The smell is okay – it’s not my favorite but I really only smell it when I initially put it on and after it dries I don’t smell it as much. The scent reminds me of a baby lotion or something, not overpowering though. I will definitely keep using!Cat
