I was quite looking forward to using this most from all my purchases. However, I was quite disappointed. It is more of a foam not mousse. The hold is not there and my hair is low porosity type 2b hair and i did not find it reducing frizz either. I pair this mousse with the Curl Enhancing Smoothie from the same product line and they work really well together! I section my hair and evenly distribute the Smoothie, then I use this Mousse to focus on my ends. Finally blowdry with a diffuser attachment. When I use both products together my curls clump together nicely and my ends stay frizz-free. I can also use the Mousse on its own for a more natural/less defined curl. I heard other reviews and videos rave about this mousse and had to try it. I have to say, they are right. I have fine texture, low porosity natural hair. My hair is short, but when stretched the back comes to my collar bone and the front comes to the end of my nose (to give you a reference). I get good definition using a gel, but this product really defined my hair, and I had more body. Body is a problem for those of us with fine hair. My curls lasted 4 days, especially in the top which is longer. My hair is shorter on the sides and since I sleep on my side the definition fades sooner. I still had a little definition on my sides day 4, but the top still had curls. The first time I used it I only used a moisturizing deep conditioner and the mousse. It did great defining my curls, but left my hair very dry. The next time I used a moisturizing deep conditioner, leave-in conditioner, a moisturizing gel, and a sealing oil with the mousse. Sounds like a lot, but this is the process I have to use every wash day to keep my hair moisturized for 3 days. I did not have any problems with dry hair at all this time. I have thick heavy waves/curls. The product worked well when I used it with a leave in conditioner. The day I was in a rush and didn't put a leave in my hair was course and felt dehydrated. It doesn't help to clump your curls on it's own, but was easy to style and mold my curls with my brush. Dried quickly and smelled good. I didn't get a chance to use it for a long period of time to see the overall quality. The bottle untwisted just enough while under my sink and spilled. Luckily I had it in a container. The bottle easily untwist. You should keep the product right side up and make sure it doesn't knock over. Unfortunately it's the bottle quality that keeps me from buying this again. I would suggest checking The Doux’s channel on YouTube to see how she uses the styler depending on the length of the hair. I have a short natural tapered cut and the mousse works best went I finger twirl the top and front. I love the slip and the shine. Even though the hold is soft – it survives my sweaty workouts. For the past year or so, my hair has returned to a state of greasy last seen when I was a teenager decades ago. Add in that I have hyper sensitive skin and scalp and it has been a frustrating battle. I have thick, coarse and wavy hair. Sometimes I wear my hair natural and other times I curl it. It is already a pain for me to brush my hair before showering so I look for hair products that won't add to the hassle. Aussie is a wonderful haircare brand and I love their 3 minute moisture masks so I had high hopes for this Instant Freeze Hairspray. First, the bottle is large and will last a long time. The nozzle seems to be a sturdy and like it will not get clogged. The scent is light and fantastic, it is the signature Aussie scent. I use a small amount of the hairspray before curling my hair and then a good amount afterward. I always brush through my curls after they have cooled down. Some hairsprays will add frizz to hair or make hair crunchy but this just held my curl while still making my hair brushable.
I have been buying Aussie products since I was in high school over 14 years ago. The products from this line have just always worked so well for me. One product is particular that I use on a daily basis is the scrunch spray! I always curl my hair for work and special occasions and it seems like other sprays never hold or they make my hair feel crunchy and gross. Not the Aussie spray though. I NEVER write reviews, but this product has changed my hair life. I get stopped in the store by strangers telling me they love my hair. Like with all products, I think there are things you can do to increase its success, the most important: blow dry it with a round brush. I do not even use a flat iron until day two or three, and then only to straighten some of the ends in the back. I am down to fixing my hair 2-3 times a week. On days two and three, I literally wake up, spray dry shampoo at the roots and dry conditioner at the ends, comb it, use the flat iron if absolutely necessary (usually only necessary on the under hair in the back), and hairspray. This product makes my thin lifeless hair look super thick! It is by far the best hair product I have ever used. I have been so impressed, I have invested in many other Drybar products.leavinsk
I have pretty thin, very straight hair. Its a great red color, but its usually pretty lifeless. I wanted to give this product a try, and I'm glad I only bought the mini version. It didn't work for me at all, which isn't uncommon with my hair. The first day I used it, it rained (my hair goes dead flat with humidity), so I gave it another try on a different day. However, the second day, there was no change. At first, once I finished blowdrying my hair, I thought it would actually work, but the results were mostly just from having just dried my hair. By the time I made it to my office, my hair was just as flat as ever, if not more so due to the presence of a product. Put this in my hair after it was towel dried and then dried my hair upside down and BAM my hair had to much volume and also helped with texture to help my curls hold which my hair does not hold curls well either. This mousse is INCREDIBLE!!! When you first apply it can feel drying and a bit sticky, but once it dries you can scrunch out the crunch and it leaves you with soft, defined, and decently held waves/curls. I found that this is THE BEST product I have ever used for air drying my hair. It comes out soft, not stringy or crunchy like other mousses. It also hold my curl all day. The next day I just use a spray water bottle, wet my hair, and scrunch in a little more mousse, let it air dry, and my results are just as good as day one. Best second day results I have ever had. I’ve used mousse in my hair for years. My mother got this mousse for herself and gave it to me because her hair is more on the wavy side and didn’t really work for her hair so she thought I should give it a try. I was super excited- it smells great, it has cute packaging. However, once I started applying it to my hair I realized it wasn’t going to work for me either. It made my hair feel instantly dry, it matted up my curls and did not define them and made my skin itch. I decided to give it a couple more tries, putting in different amounts of it and more moisturizing products and still, my hair felt dry and clumpy using this product. I don't mind that, but I was curious what the whole scent debate was about. When you do start to dispense the product, a lot comes out at once. It is a really light mouse, but it is also kind of thick. For having fine, 3B hair, I was worried. I worked it into my hair and combed it through. My hair was really wet as a note. Then I scrunched it with a microfiber towel and let my hair do its thing. It is really soft and bouncy and is holding its shape without being crunchy. So far so good. Typically when I let my hair air dry, it does with a very inconsistent wave and very frizzy. I highly recommend and give it 5 stars without a doubt. For best coverage apply with a wide tooth comb or a brush. Once it dries, you can run your fingers through it and it's left feeling soft! If you see any little pieces setting quickly and frosting just wet and out a little more on that piece. I used the old version of this for years. It was the only product that worked on my naturally curly hair, allowing me to put this in my hair and go. This new version is terrible. I used the prior version for several years on my 2b/2c curls. My hair is fine and I need the hold of a lightweight mousse. I bought this new version without realizing the new nozzle went with a new formulation of the product. It went from a whipped cream consistency to something that looks and feels like the bubbles at the end of your bubble bath. It falls apart immediately and you can't tell how much to use without your hair getting crunchy and weighed down. My hair looks bedraggled. I bought thus product to use to style my lace wig. It helped style my wig perfectly upon install. By day 3 of using the foaming lotion to style my baby hair i had some irritation in my forehead but it wasn’t too bad. I took a break for a few days from using it or styling my wig & when I used it again it started to severely burn my forehead. I wiped the product off & did continued use. I took my wig off 2 days later and had a chemical burn across my entire forehead. It burned so bad & took a while to clear up. My skin is far from sensitive so I know that wasn’t the issue. This works as well as any, and better than most. I definitely get volume from it, though I'm always looking for more, and it doesn't leave my hair full of static as many mousses do. My hair is very thick and very straight, so it has to work pretty hard to provide some lif, but does so without being stiff or stickyt. It also lasts a long time in the can, which I think is a big plus, as other pretty good mousses often turn to useless liquid, no longer foam, before the can is empty. I hate that. That's really why I upped my rating to 5 stars.Rosie
Pretty good mousse👍🏻👍🏻I read a ton about this before getting it because I was underwhelmed by the brands other mousse and this one was better! I use mousse for scrunching my curls and this works perfect for it is worth the splurge! Stock up when there’s a sale! It smells good!! I just wish it wouldn’t get clogged so much 😩 it’s fine once I run it under hot water but major pain in the butt. Probably would repurchase! 9/10 would recommend 💙💙morgan.h

I was disappointed that it was supposed to be a extra hold on the curls. I would use again I just wouldn’t use as an extra hold product. My hair used to always be long and have a super thick texture, but after both of my pregnancies my hair really lost a lot of thickness and volume. I picked it up at my work since we were having a clearance sale at the time, so I got a few cans for really cheap. I don't use it as a traditional mousse, but I actually flip my hair upside down while it's still damp and work it in until it's absorbed, then I blow dry my hair like usual. Pros: #1 it's very affordable and it will last you a long time. #2 It will give your curls amazing definition. #3 It's a medium hold, it will leave a cast but once the cast is broken you are left with super defined, flexible hold and soft curl. Cons: #1 It's a Canadian products and its hard to come by. Mostly sold on the ground for about $5.99 at Marshall's and T.J Max. It's also found online for a higher price. #2 For those who are protein sensitive -It contains protein. If your curls like or can handle protein I would still recommend you use a moisturizing leave in or cream under this gel. Use an oil or a moisturizing leave in to SOTC. As the gel tends to leave you with a dry felling after day 2.My honest opinion: I am in love with this gel so much so I ordered 2 more jars online @houseofbeautyworld ($7.99). If you are looking for a CGF gel to provide definition, soft long lasting curls, amazing volume and you want a budget friendly gel, this is it. My curls are Fine 3B Medium porosity. What a fun brand – this packaging is so retro! Even though it is not my go to product, I do enjoy it. I found mine in Marshalls, but other than that you can mainly buy it from Amazon making it harder to find. It does enhance your curly hair create nice texture without weighing your hair down. Easy to distribute and a little goes a long way. So if you can find it in store buy it, but I normally do drugstore having to order online is not always easy to do. I felt no tacky residue and curls dried good. Overall I had a positive experience just disappointed with availability. 💖lindsey.j

BUT, that all changed as soon as I got them into my hands, I'm thoroughly impressed! These pencil liners are the 'sharpenable' format, which I do enjoy. They are both (my favorite) gel formula – allowing them to be intensely pigmented, yet still maintain a very soft smooth application. These liners are multipurpose – great for working into an eyeshadow look, or adding a dash of color onto the waterline. Both of the colors actually look really good blended together, but they also look stunning on their own. I found that this particular formula was very difficult to remove, which is great for lasting power!melissa.j
