I received this item as a free gift in my shipment. This product will moisturize hair and skin. I used it on a small patch of psoriasis I have on the back of my head. Put a quarter size amount of castor oil in the palm of my hand and put 2 to 3 drops of Teatree oil, mix it together and apply to scalp. Scaling and flakes went away. Castor oil is an amazing and generally overlooked item every woman should have. You can use this on your hair, nails, skin, lashes. I know some who use it on stretch marks. It feels amazing on the skin. It's a thicker oil which is nice because it's a lot less messy and easier to control. I use this for hair the most and do a full Indian style oiling the night before I wash and leave it in overnight. It softens hair and I swear it's made mine thicker. I bought this to try for my frizzy dry damaged hair and ended up my husband uses it as wax/gel/hold for his short hair. He loves it! So we bought three! I usually use JBCO in oil form but it's hard to control de quantity sometimes. Since I discovered the other butter from sunny isle (JBCO lavender), I combine the two consistencies and I'm delighted. I purxhased this version and it has its own characteristics, youncan definitely feel that there is coconut oil (which my hair ans skin love) The butters are very usuful for a precise application, they melt easily but do not lose consistency in the jars, and are even super useful to nourish and control wdges and fly aways… beside being perfect to nourish the scalp on general. I bought this about a month ago and I am loving this hair oil. The packaging is cute and professional. The colors are suitable to the scent. It smells like passionfruit, very sweet. The smell does not linger in your hair. Its fairly thick and a little goes a long way. Too much will make your hair greasy, so use sparingly. Great for its price point. Haven't been using it long enough to see any meaningful results.
This oil just sits on my 4b/4c hair. Twice, I have put it on my hair before bed and used a brush to help distribute it. I wrapped my hair and well into the next day, I can touch my head/hair and my entire hand gets covered in oil. I'm really disappointed at how poorly my hair absorbs this oil. I was excited about the ingredients including Coconut, olive, and castor oil. I figured since these ingredients were listed first, this oil should be great. Unfortunately, despite my hair absorbing those oils well when they're applied alone, I do not get the same experience from this bottle of GroHair Oil. Perhaps the lesser oils like soybean oil and sunflower oil are the culprits here. Not sure but looks like I should probably just use 100% coconut oil going forward until I find an o blend that actually gets absorbed into my hair. Also, this oil doesn't have much of a fragrance. So I see no benefit in using it at all. There are better oils for the price.

Although the oil is light, you should be careful not to use to much because it has a tendency to run down the neck if you do. Other than that, I have nothing but praise. Very weak, I was expecting a higher concentration since it say's 100% peppermint oil. I used other 100% extracts before and I know how intense they are supposed to be. This one is already diluted from 100% oil to directly apply to hair (you wouldn't be able to walk around with the concentrate one as it truly burns your skin). It smells lovely and I hope that it improves hair growth, but it makes hair very oily and look heavy and greasy, so I suggest keeping it in overnight and wearing a cap to not stain the pillow then showering it out, or using it as a leave-in treatment for a few hours before washing hair before bed. I have always been in oily hair oily skinned person and I always straight away from using oils. But over the last two years I’ve learned how much I actually need them. My hair started thinning a few months back in as somebody who has always had very long hair, past my back. It was hard for me and my insecurities start growing from this issue. I have used this treatment 5 times so far, and plan to continue using because my hair issues are improving. The difference in the way my hair looks and feels were not dramatic after one use, although my hair felt more manageable after one treatment. I have extremely dry, thin hair, but I have a lot of hair so it appears tho be quit thick. I have always used more topical treatments to add texture, and moisturize my hair. I found it interesting that massaging the scalp with the oil would help with these issues. So following the directions starting from the root/scalp I think is important. The recommended small amount distributed through the hair was definitely not enough oil for the amount of hair I have, although the oil does distribute easily through the hair. There are a few recommendations for using. You can apply 30 minutes before shampoo to dry hair (this is the only recommended treatment I have used), apply and wrap your head with a warm moist towel for 15 minutes before shampoo, or apply and leave in over night (preferred). I think I probably need the latter for best results, but the smell is not good for me. I am not sure why the oil has an antiseptic smell. It's not refreshing, however the smell does not linger, and it washes right out. I read the list of ingredients to try and figure out why it has this smell. I think it must be from the natural oil extracts. My hair definitely appears to have more texture, and it is a lot more manageable. It looks less dry, and healthier. I have dandruff and split ends problem so I purchased this oil. The main thing why I wasn't using any kind of oil was that I go to work everyday and giving oil n leaving overnight used to make my hair oily and with shampoo rinse the oil won't go off. I noticed less dandruff quickly after using this product. It leaves my scalp feeling healthier, and leads to my hair being healthier, shinier, and more lustrous, even though my hair is often colored. To use this, apply it to your clean scalp (if you wash your hair every day anyways, this won’t be a problem, but if you don’t wash your hair for 2+ days, then it’s better to clean your hair first so that your scalp can absorb the oils better). You really want to focus it all over your scalp and not just your hair. So I apply it into my scalp first by gently massaging it in all over, then I comb it down through my hair to spread the oils down through my hair. If I need more for my hair, I apply sparingly and gently comb it through my hair. I prefer to wrap my hair with a damp/moist towel to sort of heat it for the first 15-20 minutes. Then I take the towel off and just leave it in my hair for another 45 minutes minimum (total of 1 hour minimum or so). Some people do it overnight and it does say it’s preferable to do this in the instructions, but I really don’t like to sleep with it in my hair. Shampoo and conditioner your hair as usual.Joanna

Very weak, I was expecting a higher concentration since it say's 100% peppermint oil. I used other 100% extracts before and I know how intense they are supposed to be. This one is already diluted from 100% oil to directly apply to hair (you wouldn't be able to walk around with the concentrate one as it truly burns your skin). It smells lovely and I hope that it improves hair growth, but it makes hair very oily and look heavy and greasy, so I suggest keeping it in overnight and wearing a cap to not stain the pillow then showering it out, or using it as a leave-in treatment for a few hours before washing hair before bed. I have always been in oily hair oily skinned person and I always straight away from using oils. But over the last two years I’ve learned how much I actually need them. My hair started thinning a few months back in as somebody who has always had very long hair, past my back. It was hard for me and my insecurities start growing from this issue. In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands. I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy. My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing. I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands). However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing. With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash. I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair. This was so extremely disappointing, I even tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and used up the entire thing before giving my review. I honestly love so many Ouai hair products, their detox shampoo and scalp scrub are some of my absolute favorites! Unfortunately this was such a dud, I honestly cannot believe how many positive reviews this has received. First thing, the smell is atrocious. I like nice smelling products, and even if its unscented or a mild scent I usually don't mind but THIS! I could not get over the scent, its a very woody/herb/patchouli scent and its STRONG. Next issue I had with this is that it didn't really hydrate my hair, if anything it felt more dry after, it didn't really absorb and just sat on the hair looking wet/oily. i got this in a free gift set of a lot of minis & samples and i didnt expect much from it at all; i have used many different hair oils before and never really "clicked" with any of them. i also didn't expect to even remember half the items i got in this sample kit because there were so many. this stood out enough for me to take a picture of the little sachet before throwing it out. i thought i accidentally used too much but even with me using a lot it didn't weigh my hair down at all. in fact it actually gave me more volume, somehow, and my hair usually gets flat & greasy quite quickly. it smells so nice and the scent is subtle but lingers all day. it made my hair look so glossy & thick. i will definitely be purchasing the full size soon.aj

I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! So far, I love this product. I have color-damaged, fine, wavy, long, blonde hair. This oil is fairly thick, but I'm impressed with it's ability to still be dispersed evenly throughout my hair. I use this product on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair while it is semi-damp/nearly dry, usually prior to blow-drying. I use a wide-tooth comb to ensure the product is evenly disbursed. Since using this product, I've noticed a reduction in my split ends and my hair feels smooth, soft and silky. A little bit of this product definitely goes a long way. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down – and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. This is a heavier, more dense hair oil than others that I've used. If you are looking to use a hair oil & still maintain volume, I'd suggest a lighter hair oil like Kerastase or Opalex. Compared to Kerastase or Opalex hair oils, I have noticed that this Moroccanoil oil seems to last longer – I currently am on day 3 of my hair and applied a nickle-sized amount of this oil once before I blow-dried my hair on day 1, and my ends are still silky smooth & I have not had to reapply. Whereas when I have used Kerastase or Opalex hair oils in the past, I've had to apply them 1-2x daily to continuously see results. This product also makes my hair feel clean after use – with other hair oils, my hair has felt like it has a residue on it. There’s so many things to list out for this moroccanoil treatment serum that I love so very much! I love the smell! It’s very calming. I use it after my showers and lightly finger it throughout the mid and ends of my wet hair, then I take my wet-hair detangling brush and gently brush through my hair to detangle and distribute the product (serum). once my hair air drys (yes, I’m one of those people but my hair thanks me for it!) my hair looks like I’ve had a team of people working on it for hours. It’s incredibly soft, easy to manage, my natural waves are much more defined, my hair overall feels healthier and more resilient and finally, the scent lasts for several days and so do the results. Long term I feel as though this will be what my hair has been begging me for! I’ve let my beautiful momma borrow the bottle so that she can experience what I’ve been ranting and raving about for days now. The smell is divine, the moisture is intense. This is a heavy oil, it will weigh down your hair. This is the type of oil that you put in your hair at bed time, and leave it overnight, if you are going out you could put a little on the ends of your hair. I really cannot compliment the scent enough, it is so sweet and slightly citrussy, it isn't overwhelming. My Hair loves this Baobab Oil. I received this Baobal miracle oil maybe about almost a month ago. I had been looking for different hair /oils for my dry hair.But when I looked for products with all the oils that are included in the miraculous oil, they would have had to have been purchased separately. my hair that nice shine, and also moisturize my scalp,I was disappointed because they left my hair greasy. This castor oil is a must for someone trying to repair their edges!! I have been suffering with hair loss around my forehead and temples. I actually developed a bald spot and no longer felt comfortable wearing my hair back because of it. I have seen amazing results with this oil. I mix a few drops of it with my face moisturizer and apply around my hairline before bed every night. I have significant new growth to the point the bald spot is almost gone. This stuff really works. I absolutely LOVE this oil! Theres so many different ways to use this product and for the $10 price point it lasts a long time. I usually only use 1-2 pumps max and since this is a thicker oil a little goes a long way. You can add this oil to your conditioner or hair mask for that added moisture or add it to your lotion or moisturizer. For the past 2 weeks every night i will use 1 pump to my ring finger warm it up a little between my fingers and put this right under my eyes then put my eye cream on top. This nourishing hair oil from Sol de Janeiro performs pretty well, and I love that it has the classic scent from their Bum Bum cream! The bottle is beautiful and made of weighted glass, giving it a lux feel. The formula is rich and definitely on the thicker side, but once warming in between my fingers I am able to apply it easily. Just 1-2 pumps is enough to disperse throughout my ends to mid-length without going overboard (I have relatively long hair). I can also confirm that it works to calm frizzies, makes my hair more manageable and gives a nice shine. While it is nourishing to a degree as well, I wish it delivered more moisture into my hair. Adding more doesn’t seem to do much for hydration, while adding too much just makes my hair look greasy and slick as expected. I really enjoy this hair oil, especially the smell! The fragrance is the same as the original fragrance in the rest of the line. The smell is really heavy, but not overwhelming. It does calm down, but you’ll still be able to smell it all day. I have long thick hair with dry ends and rely on oils and and sprays to keep it soft and manageable. Most oils I will use a dime sized portion, but this product comes in a glass bottle with a dispenser that only puts out one drop at a time. The consistency is tick, even sticky, more like a serum than a runny oil. Being so thick, using more than a drop or 2 does leave my hair greasy. It’s well worth the price and I’ll definitely repurchase for the fragrance alone, but it won’t replace my other products that I still need for tangles and frizz. My only real complaint is that a glass bottle and oily hands don’t mix – I’ve dropped it several times and worry it will shatter one of these days. Just be super careful with that and you’ll love it!alexrae
Ok, so I bought this on the app early access day and will give my honest review. I use many different oils as I like to switch up my products every time I wash my hair, including Moroccan oil, olaplex oil, Dae prickly pair oil, ouia oil, gisou and briogeo don’t despair repair hair oil. Compared to all of those, this is by far the thickest oil for sure. I have thick straight hair and a lot of it, so I can get away with a good amount of oil. I am a stay at home mom so I have times where I actually use products to style my hair, and times where I put in more nutrient moisturizing products to just let it sit in a bun. This oil is definitely better distributed on damp hair, on dry hair it’s kind of thick and skips as you run your fingers through but I have to say it smells AMAZING and does have a few unique ingredients which I look for when buying hair care. With that being said this is definitely more of a treatment oil for me that a styling oil and it gives self care vibes with the smell so I give it a 5 star! Would be nice if it was slightly less thick but I’m sure that’s due to the unique ingredients. Sorry for the long review! This product saved my hair. I was using a shampoo & conditioner previously that completely ruined my hair and gave me severe scalp irritation. I was desperate to find something to treat my itchy scalp and this saved my life. I noticed even after one use that my head wasn’t so itchy or dry. I will use this the night before a wash and lather it on my scalp all over as well as my ends and put my hair in a loose braid. Double washing helps immensely. This product is also great to use after the shower on your ends for extra moisture ! I would recommend this to absolutely everyone if I could. It’s a true life saver . I love you verb!!!!nursebail
Pros: Very thin oil solution that doesnt weigh down my fine hair too much (though id probably do better w the weightless solution verb offers). The smell is practically non-existent. Doesnt make me itchy as a product itself. I love the dropper top. I can use it on my cuticles too! Cons: using it on my scalp made me have to wash twice. This actually ended up drying out my scalp and causing itchy dandruff. If i only washed once after using it, I noticed greasy spots near my ear line all the way around my head (and yes, i pay attention to scrubbing that area all the same when washing- I'm not sure why it's not greasy up top). I've been using this for about a month and I've definitely noticed how soft it's made my hair. I have long, thick, 2B hair and I will put three drops in my hair while wet, two drops to finish styling, and 2 or 3 drops on my dry hair every other day. It doesn't make my hair look greasy at all. I like how it's unscented so it doesn't compete with my other hair products. My only complaint and reason for a star knocked off is that I would prefer if this came in a pump rather than a dropper. I just foresee myself knocking this off the counter and spilling everything.Mandy

They changed the formula along with changing the branding look. This one is now a runny type of oil, before it was thick I could spread it in my hands and get it everywhere I needed before it escaped me, not now. The scent is also slightly different than before. The bottle is also .9 of an ounce smaller than previously but yet the same price. When I first started using the previous formula, it was amazing, now I don't have the same love for this as before and I noticed my hair doesn't react the same to it either. I like how this oil smoothes out my flyaways and controls frizz. I apply a little bit and lightly to dry hair. Lovely fruity scent. Very clean and fresh scent. Color safe. Easy to use. I received this oil as a sample packet with a purchase and didn't touch it for a few months ( it got tossed into/forgotten about in my makeup drawer ). My hair has been bleached, colored and toned multiple times, so took a lot of damage. I finally remembered this oil a couple weeks ago and decided to give it a try. My hair is thick, medium length and honestly a dime size amount was all that I needed! Seriously a TINY bit of this stuff goes a LONG, long way and it's easy to overdue it and be left with uncomfortably oily hair! BEST WAY TO APPLY IT: When hair is slightly damp, start by rubbing product between your palms/fingers to ensure it's distributed evenly to hair. If you just pour this stuff out and grab a section to slap it on, you will end up with an oversaturated patch that is hard to blend out in hair. Work from the very ends to mid length of hair. The sample packet contained quite a bit of oil and I was able to pour the rest of it into a little jar to keep and continue using. Still have soooo much of it left! Probably going to last me a whole month, honestly! I've noticed a huge difference in my hair after a couple weeks. I've never gone without using generous amounts of conditioner in my hair when showering before and since I've been using this oil I have not touched my conditioner at all!!! I just shampoo my hair, partially dry it, and apply this oil and my hair becomes insanely soft and manageable. Never before have I experienced this with another hair product! This product is worth every penny and will last you a long while. I've experienced big improvement in my hair, not to mention reduced breakouts on my face, back and shoulders that I am guessing is from cutting the use of conditioner in my routine.
