As to the post about the plastic insert below the cap being a problem, I purchased a bottle of this Italian oil and thought the same thing until I tilted the bottle and held it there for a couple of seconds. Then the stream of olive oil was just perfect. Most olive oils inserts let too much olive oil out, but this insert (to me) is just perfect. It's more of a drizzle than a pour.
As for the taste, I really don't like the taste of olive oil, so I add it to my food before I eat it and then I can't taste it. It just adds a more complex dimension to the taste.Sandy

This oil is great at removing mineral sunscreen and mascara while hydrating your face. It's honestly hard for me to say which I like better. This one does perhaps feel a little richer (so maybe its better for those with extra dry skin?) and it smells a little more like olive. I must have tried 30 different brands ordered by mail or the typical grocery store oils, even the pricey ones. Cali oils are out, smooth to say the least, but I wanted the "bite" his oil gave. I also remember when he would fry something, it would spit and spatter like crazy. None of the oils I used gave me any of these things. On a chance, I ordered this. It arrived and I cooked with it. My place was filled with the aroma I remembered. The flavor was wonderful, robust. Nothing like "Americanized" oils where we want the benefits of olive oil without the aroma and flavor. I was told this at a "high-end store" by the "expert". True Italian oil is what this is. Try it. It is the only oil I will use now.tubeman!!
I am extermely happy with the product and have ordered this before. – 5 stars I wasn't going to make a complaint about the damage to the tin – the outside package box was in perfect condition and the tin was very well protected with bubble wrap. However the tin has a large dent on one side. This indicates to me that your packing department shipped the dented product in that condition. This similar damage (but much worse) in my first order of the same product indicates that the shipper is not carefully inspecting the product before it is wrapped. I have the Superfruit (I think…I was deciding between the Fruit Fusion and that and the bottle broke so I'm not 100% but pretty sure). Anyway I love this oil. I think it moisturizes really well which some just don't. This whole brand is excellent really. I love the smell (of all of their stuff) but my husband hates it lol. Agree with the reviewer who said to store it in the fridge though, I think I actually got that tip when I looked up the reviews here and it's good I did because I smelled some in the store and realized some weren't as fresh as others, so I got the one that smelled the best. I would love to stock up on a few bottles when there was a sale but I don't think it's the best idea unless you store them all in the fridge. Even then….they do go bad after a time. I can use one bottle quick enough I think but I don't know how 2 or 3 would fare. Packaging could be better. I wouldn't necessarily say glass either because while it's better, it is heavier and can break too. But the plastic broke on me and the disc top also can get clogged, broken or leak too much. I put mine into a jar when it broke and even though the application is more…messy it works fine. And it's in glass now so that's nice. But I definitely recommend these. I just got mine but I'd easily use mine in summer time too since I live in the desert it's very dry pretty much always so oils are always helpful. Update: A year later and mine is still perfectly fine in the fridge, so it does keep it from spoiling. (I have so many lotions I rotate, so that's why I still have this.) I originally was drawn to this oil, as well as the companion body butter cream due to its high quality, all natural ingredients. I was instantly in love with the clean, fresh scent, as well as the efficacy of the products themselves. I use some of Shea Moisture products and they are usually very good but this body oil just isn't right. When I apply the oil to my skin it drinks it up and my skin is still very dry, weird. Shea Moisture Body Oil came in a bottle with no packaging, the bottle has a flip top which is convenient, it's very easy to apply. I guess I didn't like it but wanted to! As far as recommending this product you would have to see for yourself, sorry!angela.l
