I was very excited to try this product. Of course, the whole idea behind an exfoliating peel is that it strips away the outer most layer of dead skin cells, leaving behind a brighter softer, firmer face. That was not the case with this product. Firstly, it differs from other exfoliating peels on the market because it is a leave on product. You do not wash it off. Secondly, you're supposed to use it every day, as opposed to once or even twice a week with other products. After testing this product for a week, I was glad to put it back on the shelf. My largest complaint was that it smelled like liquid smoke. I felt like I had just smeared barbecue sauce all over my face. Even though it went on as a very thin liquid, it left behind a sticky residue that would not go away. The instructions say to wait for the product to be fully absorbed by your skin, and then apply a moisturizer. The product was never fully absorbed. The instructions also want you to apply this to a freshly cleaned face. Part of my skin care regimen is a very light, exfoliating cleanser. If I applied this product after washing my face with said cleanser, it stung and burned. If applied after just a gentle cleaning without exfoliation, I didn't have any issues with stinging or burning. After week of use I could not detect any noticeable differences in my skin. Don't be scared off by the words "extreme peel". You won't burn your face with this gentle yet effective peel. Before reading about it and trying a sample, I was afraid it would be too much for my mature skin. However, it self-neutralizes, so it won't burn you. I've used this now many times and have never had any irritation. Although it seems pricey, you only use a few drops each time and it lasts a very long time. I use it once a week. Holy crap. This stuff works for me when nothing else ever has. I have very sensitive skin, and a couple years ago I started breaking out a lot from stress and, well… left some scars. My forehead was bumpy and congested looking. I got this lactic acid on recommendation for improving skin texture. I've only used it maybe a week or two, applying nightly and washing my face in the morning. My forehead bumps are… gone. I bought this product since Salicylic acid was out of stock a long time. I was recommended this product by an employee in The Ordinary store in London as a substitute for SA. It didn’t work as well for my deep congestion. It brightens the complexion but that’s where the benefits end. I don’t think this product is very beneficial for people with oily or combination skin. Happy to finally got Salicylic acid in stock now. I actually learned later on that BHAs – like Salicylic acid are for deep congestion and AHAs – like lactic acid are for more gentle form of exfoliation, which the employee obviously weren’t aware off. Love this line of peels…I have all of them. I use this one with our pineapple enzyme masque to kick it up a notch. I layer it on face before I apply the masque and leave on for 5-10 minutes. The others I love from this line are the lactic acid, glycolic acid and the TCA peels. I use all of those by themselves and I actually layer the lactic/kojic acid peel for a more aggressive peeling treatment. The "kojic acid" in that peel really helps lighten hyper pigmentation and my clients love it. Great line and ALWAYS great customer service. Highly recommend.

I've always had good luck with glycolic acid products on my face. I currently use a glycolic toner. This peel is thick, with the consistency of a serum. You simple put a few drops on a cotton round and apply to the face (I also did my neck and decolletage). It dries almost instantly. I left it on for 5 minutes and then rinsed. I didn't experience any irritation, so I did a second round. (You can do up to 5 rounds at a time). That time a couple of spots began to burn, so I didn't do another layer. Afterwards my skin was SO soft and smooth, I couldn't believe it. I glowed the way I do after a professional Dermal Infusion. I then applied my normal products and went to bed. In the morning, I woke up to very oily skin, but I washed it and then it was fine. I'm really in love with this terrific product.JJL
This is hands down the best product I have ever used for not only my acne but also my dark spots. As a black woman with a stressful job, I got a lot of stress acne this year due to the pandemic. After I started using this and the 20% salicylic acid peel on my face from this same company, my skin changed drastically. I have been using this product twice a week or once a week depending on my skins sensitivity and the 20% once a week or every two weeks and my skin is dramatically different. I love their soothing gel mask and their hydra repair moisturizer with a specialized facial oil after treatments. I also use their facial cleanser prior to the peel as advertised and I apply the peel with a nice fan brush. I only keep it on for a minute and a half. I’m blown away and hooked on these products. This is a soft, 10% glycolic acid peel. Soft in that it is rinsed off after a few minutes of initial application. Product comes in a small, clear glass bottle containing a clear and thick serum like substance and has an eye dropper dispenser to apply the peel to a cotton pad or ball after which it is incorporated onto the face. If you have fair, sensitive skin its best to start off using a light portion of serum and wearing it for just a couple of minutes before rinsing off. This is my second time buying this glycolic acid peel from Skin Obsession. I've never had any issues or problems using it. I use it every 2-3 weeks and leave the acid on for 5 minutes (timed) and wash off with baking soda mixed with cool water. Then I apply a thick layer of face lotion. The next day my skin feels very smooth. I find that it helps active acne dry up and fades old acne red spots. My skin complexion has definitely improved since I started using this product. Also, the free microdermabrasion crystals they throw in with the purchase are amazing! Obviously this peel isn't going to be as good as one you'd get from a professional – they put a numbing agent in the peel so its not painful and can be left on longer. You're not going to experience actually peeling of your skin from this product. But around here a chemical peel is about $300 so I'm going to stick with this cheaper option!msmillie-99

I use several Neutrogena products, because they are experts in skincare, and their products always do what they promise to do. I take very good care of my skin, because the nicer my skin looks, the less makeup I need to wear. I can highlight my skin, rather than cover it up. I have found this to be an excellent product! Its ingredients include glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, and hyaluronic acid. Because I have dry skin, this works well for me, because it is a peel with hyaluronic acid, which ensures my skin will get adequate hydration. I apply this before bed, wait a few minutes until absorbed, then add a little more moisturizer (also Neutrogena brand). It goes on nicely (not sticky or tacky), absorbs well, and works all night to give me that glowing skin I love to have! My skin is smooth, soft, and 'brown' spots have faded considerably. Since becoming thirty I have noticed a big difference in the texture of my skin and my pores have become more visible. This was my first time trying a peel like this. I was a little nervous but I am obsessed with the results. I experienced a really nice cooling sensation with no burning, tingling or redness. The cooling lasted just a couple of minutes. I rinsed with warm water after 15 and followed with a moisturizer. In the morning I noticed how soft my skin felt and the lines on my forehead were less noticable. I cannot recommend this peel enough! Okay so I’ve had Acne for i’d say 5-6 years (teen years) and the main mistake i’ve done is not doing research and picking up random drug store items to treat acne. I’ve done a lot of research this time and am trying this in my new skin care routine. MAJOR TIP: This item has a lot of product, I cut each one into 4 (as its folded into 4s) so the 5 pack will last me 20 days. For my skin care routine this is what im trying: Nighttime: 1. Wash face with Cerave Foaming something something face wash for normal to oily skin 2. Step 1 & Step 2 of this product 3. Aloe Vera gel (Life brand – has Vitamin E) 4. Skin brightening cream 5. First Aid beauty facial cream (light layer – I’m thinking of switching to a lighter mosturizer) 6. Mario baudescu (idk how to spell it) Aloe vera facial spray/mist 7. Im also trying the caffeine solution for under eyes (I have hollow undereyes not really bags so if anyone has tips let me know!) Morning: – no face wash – Uve only slept, why damage ur skin barrier more – u can rinse tho 1. Vitamin Serum 2. Sunscreen SPF 60 3. Aloe Vera 4. Same facial cream + mist I’ve been using this product for about a week and I’ve seen my acne has reduced – It has not stopped new pimples from forming but the main and more concentrated area especially the cystic acne that left red spots has reduced. This is the holy grail of all the skincare products I've tried and I hope this product never gets discontinued!! If I wanted to be sponsored for one product and one product only, it would be this one 100%!! I have an acne-prone, combo skin type (right now it's fairly dry due to the weather) and this product works wonders!! I not only feel the difference in my skin, I can see the difference. My face feels tighter and was 10x smoother after the first two applications. After using this (alternating with my lactic acid serum) for about two weeks the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks have lightened/looks smaller and I am not as prone to breakouts. Even during my time of the month, my breakouts were super small and minimal, and it went away in a couple days without any spot treatments. I wish I had before and after pictures. This product just balances my skin perfectly and I'd say it's definitely worth the price. I have been on Accutane twice and when my skin started to break out again I did not want to have to go on the third time. I decided to do a ton of research and came across Dr Whitney Bowe's skin cycling routine. I already had a perscription for tretinoin but when I first started using it I used way too much and it made my skin very sensitive. I also needed a product for exfoliation night. I wanted to try Paula's choice exfoliant but it is not available through Sephora Canada so I decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did. This is my favorite product in my routine. I notice such a difference every time I use it. It exfoliates without dehydrating my skin which is a miracle considering I live in northern BC with very harsh winters. It somehow removes all the dead skin while leaving my skin literally glowing. It works so well with my tretinoin and moisturzier – I have never had my skin look so good. I'll use them more in warmer months & less in winter, as my skin is so sensitized/reactionary, even though I live in a pretty mild climate. Because I like the other products so much, I purchased these with the ferulic-retinol hoping for a little more 'wow' factor….I have to say, and it's probably because I'm not using the products frequently enough, but I'd probably stick to the other two daily/universal peels rather than these. They are more expensive and far fewer of them, no doubt due to the ferulic & retinol….perhaps if I used them everyother night or at least 3x/week, I'd be impressed, however I'd consider these basically too costly to use that much unless I was trying to achieve a very specific result, prior to an event or something. I had been reading up on Dr.Gross and it turns out that his practice is 3 blocks away from my hair salon. His reputation is highly respected by so many including many of my clients. I had my eye on several different sets " missed the great Beauty night price of a larger set which I purchased for substantially more" This set arrived about 10 days ago and I opened the boxes to check manufacture dates. I can't make out the date for the pads but they are very moist and I used them the same evening but used a different brand moisturizer until I confirmed the expiry date and glad that I did. I will say the pads are small but very moist and cover face neck and hands and are gentle. I've taken an aggressive treatment in using the pads 3 nights a week, the first morning I was shocked at how wake and vibrant my skin looks. Last night was my 6th pad and then I was going to use two a week as directed. I also use vitamin c with ferulic acid by Isomers for 2 years now: LOVE IT" I believe with time some of Dr.Gross's product will show reasonable results which is all that I ask for. Now, the moisturizer troubled me because when I opened the box it had the product which had petrified on the bottom which means the cream had been opened at some point " see photo". I called his office and emailed photos of the batch on the bottom of the jar and I was advised to return it because it had expired over a year ago. I'm very annoyed by this since it was said to be a new configuration and I suppose it is just a very old expired product. His office sent me a 7-day sample as a courtesy and the look texture and faint scent is very different from QVC. I will be returning this set by weeks end in hopes that they will replace it with products which haven't expired. this mandelic acid for chemical peel makes the biggest difference for me here. A friend of mine was using it and let me try. I am using it to address my whiteheads and larger pores. I never had many blackheads in the first place. I believe whiteheads turn to black ones. The peel slowly cleaned my whiteheads but I did not want to use it too strong. I followed the instructions for the final solution I used finally. I don't want it to be too strong for my first time. Now that I have experienced it, I can increase its strength as needed. This is an effective product. I began to see a slothing after several days. I used a cotton gauze, applied thin layer horizontally across face and then vertically waited approximately 1-2 minutes and rinsed with cold water. I followed with Hydraulic acid. I by no means have the best consistant skin care regimen but I did make sure I used the Hydraulic serum twice a day sometimes I would use an additional night cream with it. Please be careful I did give myself small chemical burns, 1 was where a zit wasn't healed enough apparently and just another small spot on my chin for no apparent reason so I guess just a sensitive area. It didn't hurt just had another ugly spot until healed. So yes this is strong and effective, I like the result of lighter look to my age spot/ unevenness so far and skin is brighter already. This is actually the second bottle of the stuff that I have purchase. That is how much I love the stuff I actually bought a second bottle. When I first got it it took me awhile to use it. I was a bit intimidated at first because of the instructions and I had never done or used any kind of chemical peel before. So fast forward to about two weeks after I get the first bottle. To me sitting at my vanity with a bowl of baking soda and water, a timer, and my bottle of Divine Alpha hydroxy acid skin Rejuvenation therapy. I reread the instructions just to make sure that I don't do anything I shouldn't do and I decide I'm going to test a very small area on the bottom of my jaw. I dab a little bit on and wait two minutes. I'm not feeling any pain so I went one more minute. Then I wipe it off with plain water. I decided to wait about half an hour before I made a decision. About a half an hour later, since I did not have any discomfort, I decided to test a little bit larger of an area. I applied about a 50-cent piece size on my cheek and jaw. I waited 3 minutes and wiped it off with plain water. I did not experience any discomfort or any burning sensation so I decided I would do my whole face and neck. The results were RIDICULOUS! It made my face look softer, cleaner, brighter!I wondered why I was so worried LOL. No seriously the instructions are scary, and I definitely recommend that you read all the instructions twice and follow them closely to make sure you do everything right. Even though it is SUPER EASY, and very fast. My go-to peel pads have always been the Peter Thomas Roth ones so I was pleasantly surprised to see Sephora come out with their own version the last time I went in. And these are good. Really, really good. When I first used them, I was a little underwhelmed at how "dry" they seemed but overtime, I learned to smooth these over my face for longer than other peels pads. I really think Sephora got the amount of saturation just right with these. It almost seems to be the smarter option, as I'm paying far less for the right amount of product and the pad is dry when I'm done, rather than far more for a peel pad that I'll throw away with a considerable amount of the solution and is still wet. Due to the drier nature, these are also almost like a combo of a physical and chemical exfoliant, as you rub it over your face for longer to get the most out of the peel pad, the solution works in tandem with the material to get your skin to feel just as clean as the others. I'll even forgo my toner sometimes because I feel these do the better job while still being gentle enough to use twice a day, if I want. Overall, for the price and formula, these are so worth it, even to only try. It definitely took longer to see the same amount of results as with other peel pads, but the natural ingredients ensure me that my skin won't get used to the stronger formulas of other pads so that I can continue to use those as a backup if my skin just won't cooperate.jackiejokester
I truly like these Glow Peel pads. My face feels so clean after I use them I use one in the morning and one at night. You can tell it gets the dead skin and extra lotions and water else off of your face because you will see it on the pad as I showed everyone mine. That’s really how much I had today but different days different amounts of oil and sometimes make up etc. i love the glow peels and I will continue to buy them until or if their discontinued they make my face feel so clean without having to worry about it breaking out! These pads are awesome! My skin is normal/combination depending on the season and I’ve never had acne or bad breakouts; just one or two small pimples during my period. I used a facial oil that made me breakout on my cheeks and forehead plus gave me tiny little bumps all over my forehead. I don’t have sensitive skin so this was surprising and I had no idea what to do so I gave these a try. My breakout was clear within a few days and the tiny bumps are gone. After the breakout pimples cleared there were a couple dark spots that I was worried about but I kept using these and the dark spots are almost completely gone. I’ve only been using them for a little less than two weeks and I’m really impressed with the results. These worked so quickly to clear my breakout and didn’t have any negative effects on areas where my skin is a little drier; if anything my skin feels more balanced overall. I’ve used other much more expensive peels but these seem to work a lot better. My skin is extremely sensitive. That paired with rosacea, acne, and combination skin type makes it hard for me to find products that cater to all those needs. After starting this my pores have looked better than ever. My skin looks smoother and acne has reduced. HOWEVER, if you have sensitive skin, rosacea, or dryness I would only recommend using this product once a week or every two weeks cause as "gentle" as it supposed to be it can cause irritation. Still a great product and totally worth it. Obviously it's not perfect, but it's worth giving a shot.Katzx
I’m currently trying to get pregnant, so I’ve been looking to change the products I’ve been using. I’ve used the extra strength version of these treatments before and found them effective but really harsh on my skin. I just recently saw this sensitive version and really like it so far! I was expecting it to burn when applying but it was the complete opposite. Very gentle and soothing while providing the same result as the extra strength! This is one of my favorite products I’ve ever purchased, and that’s coming from a Sephora employee who has gotten so much free product, and I have purchased tons of product with my own money as well. The lines on my forehead as well as my smile lines are much less noticeable after just 6 days of using this product. My pores look smaller, and my skin looks more even toned and clear. Initially I feel like my skin started purging the first two days of use, but since then the spots are starting to clear and I can tell my tone and texture are improving. I’m also very sensitive and have rosacea as well as well as eczema and I haven’t noticed that these have irritated my skin. I will be a lifelong purchaser!troach

Philosophy has done it again. I have been using Philosophy products for over 15 years. As I have aged I have moved onto anti aging product lines. I cannot express how much this product has made a difference! I have tired other products and I often can’t really “see” a difference in my skin. After one use my skin looked and felt smoother. I use the PHILOSOPHY Resurface The Microdelivery Vitamin C/Peptide Peel on the regular. This one is not as harsh as the scrub that in the Resurface line but if you want an instant result you won't get it with this. You use a basic exfoliation cotton pad and add a few drops of the liquid peel. There is a chemical smell but that's expected, after you rub it around you get a light tingling sensation but nothing too major, and finally after a few minutes you apply the gel to your face. The second time I used this I pressed the pad too hard and ended up irritating my face. The gel helped so much. It calmed the irritation and the next day my skin looked normal. I feel as if this is a great toner but not a drastic overnight peel. I use this between my uses of the PHILOSOPHY Resurface The Microdelivery Vitamin C/Peptide Peel. Kind of gives my face a rest from the scrub and helps keep the dead skin build up and break outs at bay.Ash
I am 57 yrs. old & on a limited budget, I also need to keep my routine simple. I was a smoker, so had those nasty lines around my lips that nothing would touch, fine lines & deep wrinkles were there also, plus loss of elasticity. I also have very sensitive skin. This product is amazing! It was my first peel ever and the reason why I never got a peel before is because of how sensitive my skin is and I was so afraid to try something with the word “peel” in it. The closest thing I’ve tried to a peel is 12% glycolic acid product. This was sent to me from Influenster and I am so happy I did get something so different for me, because this made my skin baby soft smooth and the best part is it only took 4 minutes. So easy! There’s only two steps to this. The first step you apply the exfoliant which smells amazing like fresh citrus and you rub it in for up to 3 minutes. The first time using I just rubbed it in for a minute and a half. The second part is the activator which comes in a dropper style bottle and you also massage that into the peel for just a minute and then you rinse off and voila! Baby soft skin! I tried this once a week for 4 weeks and didn’t have any irritations or breakouts from it. My only thing about it is it can be really aggressive if I do step 1 for the whole 3 minutes which caused a VERY slight burning sensation after I applied step 2, but thankfully I didn’t have any reactions. So if you have sensitive skin like me, I would just start off with a minute and a half for step 1 and gradually increase your time. As far as results go, I would say I see a little clarity in my skin but nothing major which is okay since I’ve only used it 4 times. I will update my review after a couple months of using to really measure the difference in my skin. All in all, I totally recommend it if you’re looking for a peel that is super gentle for all skin types!aishy
I've been trialing this here and there for the last few weeks and enjoy using it on days when I need better skincare absorption. there are claims as complexion brightening and lightening, both to which I did not see effects (and personally prefer that I didn't anyway). the best result I get from using this two-step peel is gentle exfoliation and smooth skin. the consistency is relatively thick (I'd liken it to a Naked juice with sporadic sugar crystals) and it lightly smells of oranges. any fragrance seemed to dissipate after application. during use, the product sort of slides off my face which made it a bit tedious to use (I accidentally ate some the first time I tried this; the experience wasn't entirely unpleasant, but I do not recommend). step 1 feels warm on the skin and I didn't find any irritation to sensitive areas or parts of my face where eczema was inflamed. I really like that the heat is gentle and overall the product is non-irritating for me. step 2 of the peel made it feel more like a physical exfoliant (as you're to massage the lactic acid serum for a few minutes). the consistency didn't change much and it developed some light milkiness. I do find washing everything off kind of tedious, product had dripped down onto my neck and completely washing all the crystals off felt like it took longer than it should've. the treatment seemed a little drying if I took too long washing it off, and I consistently experienced that 'squeaky clean' feeling (moderately). it wasn't displeasing enough to stop using the product though, since despite that, I truly feel like applying skincare afterwards absorbs more deeply into the skin on days I have used this prior to that. overall, I like this duo a lot! however, the price point is rather steep and impractical for me personally, but I would definitely recommend a 'treat yourself' if you're looking for something gentle and have sensitive skin like me.mutokki
A week ago a received a generous gift from influenster and erno laszlo of the new “White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel” for my honest review! I was so excited to try it and did so immediately! Unfortunately, I wasn’t as excited to write this review and have put it off until now… Because, I just didn’t enjoy this product at all… I’ll start off with some of my feelings regarding the packaging. The material was a very lightweight plastic and the jar containing “Phase 1” had a few nicks along the bottom edge. It instantly took away the feel of luxury I was expecting in my first impressions of this brand new product. After opening the “Phase 2” bottle I realized how easy it was to thread the top back on in a crooked manner due to how thin an pliable the plastic was. Overall, I wish the packaging was more substantial when considering the price point of the product. ($100usd) The performance of the product itself was a bit surprising. I was pretty shocked at how abrasive the physical exfoliant was in phase 1, the best way to describe it was the idea of smashing a car windshield and mixing a handful of the glass bits in with some lard! The granules were unusually large and jagged! You’re instructed to massage this pretty harsh balm into your skin “for up to 3 minutes” I could barely muster up 30 seconds personally. After massaging phase 1 you add a bit of phase two and are instructed to massage for an additional minute. I did so for about 15 seconds. After rinsing I was quite red and flushed. My skin did feel smooth to the touch, but very angry as well. I don’t know if I can recommend this to any particular skin type.
