20 Best Perfume For Black Skin (Jan 2023 Update)

This is a very modern take on a rose scent. It is feminine and will be flattering to many people I think. It opens up with a strong soapy rose scent, continues as clean fresh floral and finally settles into a delicious woody, warm rose which is my favourite part. I also got the body wash and hair perfume with this scent to prolong its wear. It's a very comfortable perfume to wear all day round. Even though I am not into rose scents specifically, I like feminine perfumes and this one is perfect.SabrinaRo

I bought this scent blind by reading reviews. I love rose scents and it’s quite difficult finding a rose scent that works well. When I tried this on after purchase I hated it. I literally put it back in the box and set it aside to give to my sister. A few weeks later by chance when clearing up I tried it on again as I couldn’t quite remember the scent and this time I loved it. I’m not sure what is was the first time round but the scent has quite a bit if depth and needs some time to settle. To be it’s quite a classic soft scent very slightly on the powdery side. This is my current go to! The perfume counter girl helped me narrow it down by closing my eyes to smell which byredo perfume i liked better . I’ve been using this since spring and i think I’ll continue to use it throughout summer. I think it can be used year round it’s not too heavy. I use it both day and night i wont describe the notes the details are all online. I’m typically a woodsy fresh scent kind of gal so this was a big change to try something floral. My mom and I wore this back in the very early 2000's when it first came out. I was so excited to find it available here. When I received my order it was flashback central! Holy nostalgia! It smells just like I remember! I love this light sent that is floral and musky (great for those who like a hint of sweet but hate going full on floral!). Nothing was wrong with the product and it came in great condition. My only slight disappointment is with the seller. I had ordered another scent and it did it not arrive with the other one. I contacted customer service and after a few days I got a response that there was a stocking error and the product was not actually available. They did refund me with no issue, but I am disappointed no one caught this while filling the order and contacted me then. Not mail it out after charging me and then me having to reach out. All in all it was fine and got resolved but something to be aware of when purchasing. I would definitely recommend this scent and I do love that they stock very hard to find fragrances. First time purchase heard good reviews on the product. Smells like rubbing alcohol infused with some kind of mint soap. The alcohol smell goes away after a while leaving the soapy smell. It smells "clean" but reminds me of deodorant. Unfortunately the product came defective and leaks if it is positioned horizontally or upside down. It most likely leaked 10% of it's volume as it did not arrive full. Almost as if the product was used. Additionally the product did not come in the box as shown in the picture. The box is flat, with no checker plate texture which has me concerned about the actual product. Bar code (UPC-A: 098691014918) matches the product. Batch number (781?) appears to be stamped on a sticker at the bottom of the bottle. Period after opening is 36 months (36M)H.E.D.C.

I buy Lucky You fairly regularly; its sold at our local Wal Mart. This was the bigger size for the same price as the smaller bottle I get at Wal Mart though, so I figured Why not? After receiving it I sprayed it on, and to my chagrin I noted immediately that something was seriously wrong. The color of the liquid in the bottle was different than normal. The smell was pungent rubbing alcohol followed by a scent that was trying to be Lucky but wasnt. This was either not the real thing (unlikely as it came the the Lucky Brand box), or it was sitting on the shelf for 5 years. Either way I was very disappointed. Having never sampled anything from the Daisy fragrance line and reading so many mixed reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect. This is quite a pleasant fragrance. It’s fresh, airy, and aquatic with a light floral hint and a very soft sandalwood note most noticeable at the end. Not strong but has more projection to it than I thought it would at 5-6 feet for the first few hours then it falls to 2-3 feet and doesn’t change much. I can still smell it on my coat 3 days later, so it’s definitely long lasting. This fragrance leans more warm weather to me but it certainly gets along just fine in the cold, I can see this being a good everyday fragrance and would go as far as to say its a safe blind buy. With that being said I also feel it’s a workplace safe fragrance. There’s nothing obnoxious or intrusive, and it doesn’t set off migraines. For that reason I also feel it’s easily giftable. I received this product free from Influenster and Marc Jacobs in exchange for my honest review. This Marc Jacobs 'SKIES' is the first Daisy fragrance that I actually like. All the other Daisy series I have tried have been too flowery for my taste. This SKIES limited edition is mineralic accord and yellow lotus flower combined for a floral aquatic freshness. Wrapped in sandalwood and musk. It is definitely a more fresh, clean, aquatic, woodsy scent as opposed to super florally like most Daisy scents (which I like). This smell is very pleasing, the Eau de Toilette does not last long. I spray 2-3 squirts and it lasts about 3 hours before the scent fades. I normally always purchase Eau de Parfum which isn't deluded and lasts much longer. I am so glad I was given the opportunity to sample this product, I would not have tried it otherwise. I am hooked now and will get more when I use up this bottle. I recommend to everyone and have already turned a few people onto this new fragrance.AngieLissa

This product retails for $86 both at Sephora and saks. The experience of this perfume starts with the packaging itself, the packaging is absolutely stunning it is embossed with daisies all over the perimeter of the packaging and the colors of the daisies are blue and yellow. I can certainly tell that it took a lot of thoughts to make this fragrance especially when you experience the bottle of fragrance itself it has three beautiful daisies on the top and the bottle itself is a light baby blue color. The scent is absolutely stunning because it reminds me of a beachy fresh day!. A sunny fresh day at the beach that's what it reminds me of, it is very wearable in the way of how light it is but oddly enough at the end of the day I can still smell the scent on my clothing. That's another feature that I enjoy of this this particular scent. I can't believe that I've been missing out all this time on Marc Jacobs fragrances from now on I will make it a point to experience a lot more of them and to recommend them to my friends as well is just an absolute very wearable fragrance and I recommend…Martha

Angel is the original gourmand fragrance that has polarized the beauty industry. This comet bottle is small but mighty! It is a beautiful addition to any perfume collection. It easily fits in a pocket or purse and perches on a vanity or side table. It is not a spray bottle. It is a dabber top. The only downside to this design is you may drop or tip the bottle while opening it not handling with care. This is also not a refillable design like other Mugler products. Angel is a fruity sweet gourmand that smells of cotton candy with a slight medicinal or woody pine background note on my skin. The dry down is a soft patchouli vanilla skin scent. The Fragrantica.com reviews would make you believe this is the stuff nightmares are made of. My experience has been quite the opposite. It is not a safe blind but based on other reviews I’ve read, but I love this beautiful fragrance and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a signature scent.leigh.l

About 6 years I had a bunch of Angel samples with purchase & fell in love with it, but it was pricey. I needed a pick me up & remembered how much I loved this perfume & saw they had a good promotion going on after Christmas, so I took the plunge & ordered the biggest size available. It shipped fairly fast for COVID times & after spraying, it smelled very different than what I remembered. I then read some more about Angel & found out that Angel EDT is a completely different perfume than ANGEL EDP!!! Similar, but different perfume altogether. Ugh!! How is anybody supposed to know this unless they're super involved in the industry?? Fortunately, the scent grew on me & I do love it, it's a much stronger patchouli & mossier/greener scent than the EDT version. And a touch sweeter, but less powdery or confection-like like the EDT. I quickly ordered myself the EDT anyway, so I can have both distinctive scents in my collection. If you like Love Don't Be Shy By Killian, or Aqualina's Pink Sugar, you would probably like Angel EDP & EDT. (Just keep in mind that the EDP has stronger patchouli & green, musky, mossier notes!). I’ve been wearing Angel since the early 90s. It was always my favorite fragrance, and one application would last all day. After a week, I could still smell it on my clothes. Since L’Oreal purchased Mugler, it now has the longevity of a drug store cologne. I’m sure I’ll get the response but the formula has not changed. Lies! You’re lucky if you get two hours of a very subtle fragrance after spraying it on. It has nothing to do with temperature of the room, method of application, or skin changes or body chemistry has changed. The truth is that lower cost equivalent ingredients make it more profitable for a company. When I started wearing this fragrance, it cost a lot more 30 years ago than it does today. I’m offended by the practices of deception. Gone are the chocolate notes. Gone are the cotton candy notes. Gone are the praline undertones.I would pay anything to get my hands on an old bottle when House of Mugler owned this extraordinary gourmand perfume. I have not purchased this perfume, though I would love to. I went in the Saks 5th Ave. in New Orleans looking for Byredo Gypsy Water. They didn’t carry it but the man at the counter suggested I try this. It smelled absolutely amazing. I loved it. My boyfriend smelled my wrist later in the day and said how good it smelled. That was SIX YEARS AGO and I am still thinking about it. I passed by a Bond No. 9 store in New York last year and was sooo close to going in to get it. I just haven’t been able to justify the price. This is one of my favorite Bond fragrances! This can definitely be worn year round. It smells like a fruity caramel mixed with a splash of nutty-ness. While it is somewhat fruity its not overwhelmingly sweet. I don't like fruity scents but this one is special! I just bought a bottle two months ago and am already half way through. Next time I will get the full size bottle because it is worth it! You won't be disappointed!Doedra

At first sniff I thought it was a gag scent. Like something you'd pick up in a novelty shop. I didn't get what it had to do with Coney Island. Listen: I have been to Coney Island many times over the years, and for those of you not familiar with the area I can tell you it's an experience. Of course there's the amusement park, which is an endearing (very) poor man's Disney Land. During the summer the boardwalk is teeming with every kind of character and color and ethnicity you can think of (especially Latino!). Coney Island isn't exactly a romantic getaway spot or an idyllic beach you'd hit to relax and cool out. It's basically a giant retro gritty social scene (yet oddly enough, family friendly). There's always one or two boom boxes playing dance hits from the seventies and eighties, crowds of folks dancing along like it's serious business. If you've ever seen the movie "The Bronx Warriors", this is where the gang would theoretically meet up to chill and have fun. And of course there are the stands lining the beach serving up the liquor and cocktails. Not just along the beach but all over the neighborhood. If you like to get wasted, Coney Island is the place for you. So it didn't take long for me to make the connection. I guess what Bond No 9 is saying is, "Hey, this is our interpretation of Coney Island… It's a haven for booze heads!". Okay, fine. There are certainly decent boozy scents out there. But they missed the mark with CI. The scent is too schitzo. Unlike, say, Virgin Island Water which is sort of in the same olfactory family, Coney Island has no real balance; no cohesion in its composition. The amount of money they charge for this… stuff… is inexcusable. IMO they should have called it "Eau de Jigglypuff" after the Pokemon character. Adorable yet crazy. And not in a good way. I bought my boyfriend a cologne sampler for Christmas for him to turn in for a full-size cologne and omg. This is by far my favorite from the 10 samples included. It is heaven in a bottle. I LOVE the way that it smells when he wears it (it pulls very masculine on him with emphasis on the more woody notes) and it lasts all day long. He usually applies in the morning @ 7ish am and by 10pm I can still smell it on his neck. I have also worn it and it is a more sophisticated scent on me, with the more feminine bergamot and lavender notes pulling out. I tend to lean towards a more masculine scent for myself despite being a person who identifies as female and this one is perfect. It is one of those scents that you simply cannot stop sniffing whenever it is on. I wish the packaging was more gender neutral bc I want it for myself but prefer a prettier bottle lol but other than that, it is my dream cologne. 10/10.jlnrichter3

This fragrance is an absolute dumb reach fragrance that will work in any situation and any season. It has TopNotes of bergamot and pepper, middle notes of lavender, metallic notes, “coal”, and watery notes, and base notes of ambroxan and patchouli. This is a very pleasant fragrance that leans very masculine and does not really evolve with wear. The aroma maintains a consistent scent and lasts on my skin a full work day. Projection is strong the first 2 to 3 hours for me and then begins to reel in for the rest of the duration of wear. Did you have a nice scent cloud about arms length with 3-4 sprays. I love this stuff. Influenster sent me a sample but I already have a bottle for myself. Lots of people compare this to Dior Sauvage EDT, but I much prefer this as it is softer and doesn’t really irritate my nose as much. I will warn that this is a scent that you may become anosmic to with consistent wear because of the ambroxan base. I wore this for a month straight at work and by the end of two weeks I was finding myself needing to add more sprays for me to smell it. One day I came into work with 5 sprays and one of my coworkers about 5 feet away from me complained about someone’s cologne and it was choking her out. Oops. So yeah. Be careful with your sprays. Just cause you can’t smell it doesn’t mean others can’t either. Overall, an absolutely incredible scent. I would rotate it with another scent every other week to refresh the nasal receptors though.adrian.e

Mrs. Prada has created their juices since 2003 and, per my research has been credited since 1995, with lo La Perla from the house of La Perla. Carbon, a self-stated modern Fougere, "fern-like" in French, contains "energetic notes of lavender, green bergamot from Italy, radiant woody notes of patchouli and the dry amber of ambroxan." Carbon is tall, lean, with a swimmer's build and dark chestnut hair. He emerges from the water as you sit in your beach chair, walking towards you with intent and want. He grabs your hand and leads you to the nearby beach bungalow for a secret kiss away from others' eyes. This juice delivers a punch of lavender floating in a bowl of citrus water. The scents are being filtered through a wall of sheer lavender as it fades to the back and allows the peppery notes to dance on lavender leaves. After your kiss, Carbon ushers you into an antique Alfa Romeo Giulia 1.6 spider and you drive along the Gulf of Salerno; the Tyrrhenian Sea in the air, and the sun warming your flesh. This juice has an earthiness on my skin, but I contribute that to patchouli more than the stated coal and soil tincture, and that is a letdown. This perfume was a Recent blind buy and I’m definitely not disappointed! This is a woody, unisex, dark and mysterious perfume and definitely a compliment getter. The main notes I pick up in this perfume are black orchid, mahogany, Persimmon and the green accord which gives the fragrance a freshness which cuts right through the musk and peppery notes in the scent perfectly. My boyfriend goes crazy over this when i wear it and even wants a bottle for himself. The lasting power is impressive and I can still smell on my skin and clothes hours after spraying. Price was amazing at £18 for the 30ml bottle so definitely worth a try. If your not Keane on the masculine vibe at first spray after a few hours this perfume definitely sweetens out and the pomegranate comes out a lot more! I bought this in 2007 after getting married. all my in laws loved it, my husbands brother and his wife are obsessed with this. Personally I never liked it but I kept wearing it due to all the compliments I kept getting…, it smells dusty like someone else mentioned… for the longest time I couldn’t think of the right words to describe it… but yes it’s dusty. But you can’t deny, CK has some mad staying power. Okay. This scent is what started my patchouli obsession. Euphoria is always in my rotation of my luxury fragrances. My hobby is actually collecting them, and Euphoria is one that just describes me as a person when it’s sprayed. Euphoria smells like me is all I can say. When I put this on, it’s nostalgic. I’ve worn it for many years, and have actually bought quite a few bottles over and over, and I never do that, besides black opium lol. Euphoria is exactly what’s expected when sprayed. Euphoria is a women’s fragrance, and not as expensive as you would think. They sell this for like 38$ at Walgreens, so I snatched a new bottle. I don’t know why it isn’t more expensive, because this fragrance smells expensive. It’s been around for a long time, and all the sexy patchouli lovers know about this perfume. It’s strong at first, but when it dries down it’s absolutely beautiful. Euphoria smells like seduction in a bottle. Wear it year round. People will love to hug you and be close to you lol I would know. This is an oldie but another goodie. It lasts a good while too, but I like to carry the bottle with me (it’s not too big) just for a touch up through the day so I can keep smelling myself lol. Don’t get it twisted. This fragrance isn’t a cheap alcohol infused fragrance. Euphoria causes euphoria in many people, including me. Black orchid and woods black violet. Man. Sephora sells this for 80$ but I just bought a brand new bottle at Walgreens for 38$. If your lucky you can find it at Walmart too. It’s not a drugstore fragrance, but I guess Calvin Klein wanted their brand to be available to anyone, an that’s cool. As a rose lover, this is definitely a worthy addition to my fragrance collection! My first impression was that it smelled like straight up rosewater – which I do love and use on my face and sometimes my hair – but the longer I wore it and the more I used it, the more I noticed other notes in there as well. I still get the aroma of a big bouquet of roses, but there's also a fresh green scent over it all, almost like cucumber. I have seen elsewhere that other notes in here are lemon and violet leaf and I think they combine to create that fresh greenness I am getting! Beautiful, easy to wear fragrance that despite it being intensely floral is never really too "perfume-y" It's very natural smelling and not synthetic or chemical. Although I appreciate fancy packaging, I also really like how sleek and chic and minimal this bottle is. A note on something that in the end doesn't actually matter that much – the product photos make it look like the liquid is a pinkish color, but mine is clear. My only real complaint is that despite so many reviews saying this is one of the strongest Jo Malone colognes, I really did not find it strong at all, and am even a bit disappointed in the strength and longevity. I am not the kind of person who needs a super strong perfume but this could be a little stronger, even though it is a cologne and not an eau de parfum, especially for the price. I'd be happier with it as is if it was a little bit cheaper. I have found it lingers on clothing at least, and it is obviously high quality, I am just afraid I will go through this bottle very fast due to the amount I end up applying. Upon first spray, I saw the English countryside. I saw autumn woolens and riding boots. I saw an old English gathering of wealthy aristocrats. An invitation-only outdoor tea or horse race. The freesia makes the first appearance, followed and underwritten by the pear. This a stunning classic fragrance. I would never sully it with layering but perhaps some might. I received this as a sample but must buy it. Honestly, I will wear this as part of my manifestations for wealth and abundance because this is the scent of old wealth, nouveau riche, Ivy League and opulence. Still, very wearable anywhere.Cindy

This fragrance is so hard to describe but it is truly elegant and is definitely something I will be purchasing after trying the sample. I think samples are such a good idea as I personally love perfume, but feel intimidated to go into fragrance shops to simply smell and slowly take in the scents. I have walked into your stores several times and walked out again out of sheer panic of being asked what I have come in for, and not having a clue. But almost always when I have received a promotional free sample, from various brands, I have gone on to purchase a full sized bottle. One of my oldest love, I started wearing this perfume back in 2014 and I still loves it. This perfume is simply sweet and romantic at the same time. You smell the tastiest and sweetest fruits with a seductive vanilla. When I smell this perfume I think of a woman who has a beautiful long white dress and red roses in her long hair and always smiles seductively at everyone. I personally like this perfume very much because it just sooooo great and seductive smells. Very nice fragrance, citrus fruity top notes with a touch of vanilla. I imagine this is what an Italian village smells like. It smells like orange cake icing and the lasting power is not bad, about 4 hours on my skin before needing a top up. Quite unique as far as fruity vanilla gourmands go as it also has some mild spicy woodiness to it that gives it a kind of effervescent quality, if bright and sparkly could be a smell this is it.Lollypop

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this perfume.. for so many reasons. First. as a make up lover and someone who is obsessed with lipstick, WHO would NOT love a lipstick shaped bottle. ADORABLE. Honestly, it was just luck that I liked the smell, in truth, I would probably buy this just because of the bottle. I love to wear a stronger. spicy scent in the winter. However, it can be difficult to not teeter into musky or old lady when stepping into deeper scents. This product does not do either. I feel like a sexy lioness when I wear this scent. The bottle is sleek and square exuding the timeless quality the fragrance launched in 1996. Ever since, Acqua Di Gio has turned into a classic scent for any man. I jumped out of the morning shower and felt the slight texture of the frosted glass as my fingers wrapped around the squared off sides of the 20ml bottle. My bathroom lights from above refract through the glass and create an aquatic aura calculating the notes trapped within the frosted prison. I press to release the juice and saturate my pulse points. Instantly, I forget that I am in my Oregon bathroom and see myself walking through groves of Orange during the time of their life when their blossoms release essence in the soft air currents. Ocean water in the distance crash upon beach rocks and create a magical ozonic atmosphere that is cool, refreshing and briny. I smell lemon at the top mixed with orange and jasmine, I am welcomed and kissed with a Mediterranean semblance. Acqua Di Gio then turns into a luxury vacation and notes of hyacinth, rosemary, sage and Calone make part of the heart. A spiciness of nutmeg and coriander is tempered by the base of delicious rich resinous cedar, amber, oakmoss and white musk. Acqua Di Gio exudes strength, positivity, energy and confidence. Even though this fragrance is marketed towards men, I know of several women who have clutched this as their signature daily. Acqua Dio Gio 20ml bottle is currently going for $35 on the Giorgio Armani website and would make a great travel and work bottle for on the go. I believe this is a great price to try this iconic fragrance and have actually purchase a larger 200ml bottle that I was able to engrave though Armani. Scent lasts around 5 – 7 hours and anytime someone passes by, they ask what I am wearing. I would recommend this quintessential fragrance to anyone despite its popularity.prendalotutto

Back in the 90’s I had hair, flair, and a top notch metabolism. The nightclubs were where you’d find me, as I was always out with the ladies. If not with them, I was at the bar drinking a lot of booze. Fun days and times, although I was lucky to avoid drugs and the like. Still some motorcycle riding, and other adventures I would not try now. Now I go to bed, at the time I used to roll out. Am a single dad, have seen some really challenging times, but am ready to mingle. The rooster is back in the henhouse. I used to wear the original Armani Acqua Di Gio EDT. Who didn’t? Everyone had this, and yea several nights it got an assist. Women loved it. Yet as the innocent days were ended on 9/11/2001, and far worse was to come, this cologne became dated. New releases were out, and while this never became a Brut or Drakkar, it just lacked anything exciting to offer. To put it kindly, the EDT was eclipsed by a number of designer houses. It’s amazing to think Armani got knocked down. Yet even more impressive is it got back up again. First came the Profumo which is my signature scent. Unbelievable and still refreshing 7 years after it’s release. 4 years after Perfundo, which is a fine scent, came the parfum version of the original classic. Instead of 5% fragrance ratio, it’s now in the 25 to 30% composition, with some tweaks on the notes. It’s the modern version of the original, and wow do I really like it a lot. It’s fairly expensive, but it is a wonderful choice for spring and summer especially. For fall and winter parfumo is the way to go. It is exciting to have the original buttered up, and the tangerine and marine notes scream. There’s some seductive saltiness. It also has patchouli, lavender, and vetiver. I think there might be a invigorating grapefruit and mango underneath the top notes as it dries down. That is alluring and mysterious. Ladies seem drawn to enigma like men and scents in my experience. It doesn’t have the projection of parfumo. That’s why warm weather go with this modern update. It has a foot or so projection for about two to three hours. After that a skin scent. This is most certainly a date fragrance, so as to bring her closer in to you. Whether casual or formal, this is versatile for either which gives it added value. Trail scent is okay. Be sure to spray this liberally if out all day. It’s a giant leap with the newer technology. Giorgio Armani Gio is a timeless scent that gives men confidence when wearing. It has that aroma that arrives rich and leaves a lasting impression. If subtly is your game then this fragrance may not be for you. Instead the seekers of power and strong presence should enrich their clothes with this masculine aroma. It is a smell that has lasted for years yet does not show age. I am fan of this great cologne and it's lasting impact. It should be noted however that the sample size they sent me was a mere 0.04 oz. It is literally the same free size sample they've been handing out at department stores in malls for decades, which shows me how little they care about their reviewers. All my life i had always wore body splashes until last year when i decided to explore perfumes a bit. Im definitely a gourmand lover when it comes to scent. I tend to not like floral scents……. the exception to that being the original Good Girl. I like sweet scents but i also wanted something a little more grown up to try out instead of walking around smelling like an apple or a cookie from body splash. At 40 years old, it’s way past time. Supreme and the original Good Girl were both blind buys for me after reading and watching reviews. I love both but i am IN LOVE with this one. To me, it is much more sweeter than the original. I cannot describe individual scent notes so i won’t try but this works excellent with my body chemistry. No exaggeration, i get complimented almost every time i wear this. It was such a surprise to me because i had never had so many people commenting on how good i smell. Especially men, for some reason this seems to really register with their noses. So many people want to know the name of what I’m wearing. All this coupled with the fact that i love this scent told me i found my “signature scent” i guess is the term i have seen used. When across the room, many have described smelling something “yummy like marshmallow or vanilla”; i guess that’s the note my body throws after i have sprayed it and it has sat on me for a bit. I do not want to give the impression that that’s exactly what it’s smells like when i spray it but that’s how people describe the scent i give off after it has incubated for awhile. There was some point when i switched to another perfume just to try out and my frequent compliments completely stopped. So yeah this is definitely my favorite perfume. I never take it out of my bag. By far my favorite fragrance. I got the 1oz just to try it and I wish I would have just got the full size. I use it everyday. I have been on the hunt for my signature fragrance and this is the first one on my fragrance journey and I have since got several minis and samples but I keep coming back to this one. I lean more towards woody and spicy with a hint of sweetness fragrances. And this one hit all marks in an unexpected way. I can’t stand most floral fragrances but the floral notes in this are balanced so well with all the other notes. It’s definitely mostly warm sweet but not overly so the dry down (my favorite part of all fragrances) is soft woody vanilla. I can smell the few floral notes all the way through but more in the back ground which gives it some complexity. The coffee and almond isn’t over done either like black opium. I like black opium too but it’s almost too sweet like when you accidentally put too much sugar in you coffee but Good Girl is balanced soooo well! I love it so much I just wish all those great notes lingered a little longer like my long time favorite and old signature fragrance decadence.XMaggsX21

I received this fragrance in return for my honest opinion. The minute you open the box you fall in love with the impactful and stunning bottle shape. The high heel bottle is elegant and makes for the perfect decoration. Even when my bottle is empty I will be keeping it because it looks so neat! The bottle itself is a mysterious smoky midnight blue glass and the sleek gold heel is the finishing touch! I spent years walking around Sears during the holiday season demoing fragrances so I like to think I have some knowledge when it comes to fragrances and I’d have to say this one would be a top seller this holiday season and beyond. The scent itself is sweet yet not to sweet. It’s in the floral family and it’s key ingredients are Tuberose, Jasmine & Tonka Bean. On first spritz I absolutely loved the scent but found once it dried down it wasn’t the absolute best scent for me. As with most fragrances it reacts differently once it’s on your skin. That’s why some fragrances smell differently on each person. I’ll still wear it just not an every day scent. If I spray it on my clothes it still smells beautiful just remember not to spray all perfumes on white clothes because some fragrances can stain white or light coloured clothing. This perfume is like a perfect fairy sent. Makes me think of an enchanted forest. Also makes me think of a sophisticated and cultured woman that knows what she wants in life and is going after her dreams. I don’t know how it can be both of those at once but it is for me. I love how different this perfume is from the rest of designer perfumes right now. I have around 30 perfumes and this one already has a spot in the top 3. I actually disagree with the consensus “mature vibe” that everyone else is getting. I’m early 30s and still love my V&R and Miss D but wanted something different. Earthy but feminine and this nailed it! When I think “mature/old lady” perfume I instantly think GUCCI BLOOM (ick). It’s my grandmothers bathroom in a bottle, the new White Diamonds IMO. Back to Nomade – I have both the Absolu and the EDP. They do smell very similar at the start but the EDP keeps that fresh, wet mossy vibe throughout and this one sinks down into a warmer, slightly sweeter iteration. I think both could be worn all year round but if I had to pick seasons, Nomade EDP for fall/summer and Absolu for winter spring. My fiancé (surprisingly) prefers the EDP on me. For those that liked Nomade but wanted it a bit more feminine and warm, this is a no brainer.Bug0427

I love the current version as of 20162017 original Chlo Eau de Parfum, so I thought I would give the EDT a go to have a lighter version to wear to places where I dont want people to smell me from 5 metres away Unfortunately, this EDT isnt just a lighter replica of the original, and the notes are actually different.Its not a bad scent per se, but if you liked the dewy floral and slight honey notes of the original EDP giving it that aquatic yet dry sweetness that I cant quite place, you might not like this one. When I first spray it on before its reacted with my unique skin chemistry, it smells mostly gingery, sort of like ginseng with a hint of sour wood. Almost gourmand. I barely detect any floral or honey, so the top notes of pink peony, freesia, and lychee are inaccurate. However, once its mixed with MY chemistry it might not do this for you depending on your skin, I start to get a predominantly clean, dry wood smell with a hint of heavy florals but still not much sweetness. If you know if the Body Shops Honeymania range, it smells like that mixed with driftwood. An alternative comparison is the Chloe Love Story EDP and EDT if they had more woodiness.Of the notes that are listed on the Sephora site, I only smell the Magnolia, Lily of the Valley, MAYBE a little rose, Cedarwood, and Amber..and this is only after it has adjusted to my skin chemistry after an hour or two. Immediately, I smell none of the listed notes. I got a few friends to test it out just in case. One said the fragrance didnt change on her at all throughout the day, and the other two also ended up with a heavy floral and wood.Sadly, its also just as heavy and has just as strong a sillage as the EDP, so even if you are ok with the scent, itll still be almost as strong.Anonymous

The Bloom Eau de Toilette from Gucci is a complex and beautiful floral fragrance. This fragrance has notes of Jasmine, Tuberose, Rangoon Creeper, and Neroli Accord. For me, the most prominent notes are the Jasmine and the Neroli Accord. The musky side of the Jasmine is particularly prominent, but the piney brightness of the Neroli Accord is not far behind it. While I love floral fragrances, this perfume is a bit too musky for my tastes. However, it is a very intriguing fragrance that I, admittedly, kept returning to throughout the day to try to figure out exactly what notes I was smelling. This is a very potent fragrance and it only takes one spray per application to achieve lasting effects. It is also a long-lasting fragrance and lasted the entire day without needing to be reapplied. I cannot comment on the packaging or size of the product as I only received a sample, but the presentation of the sample was very nice. Overall, while this is not a perfume I would purchase for myself, I would definitely recommend it if you like muskier floral fragrances. I have tried the Eau de Parfum of Gucci Bloom and it wasn't something that I cared for. So when I saw I'd be receiving the Eau de Toilette version complimentary from Influenster to try out and honestly review, I didn't expect to like it at all. For most of my life I had sort of had the impression that an EDT is just a lighter, maybe less long lasting, iteration of the EDP. However, there appears to be some other differences that makeup in EDT vs. EDP oh, so I'm going to have to immerse myself in some research as to what the differences are. That being said I *really* enjoyed this fragrance! It's got jasmine and tuberose and I don't even remember what else but there is something that tickles my nose and brain that I can't quite name but I would put it under the column labeled "spicy." The way Spiced Rum is spicy. It definitely has staying power, smells as good on my skin as it does in the air, and is super wearable. I feel like a person could wear this with jeans and sandals or to the office without offense to anybody. It would also fit right in on a wedding guest. This scent was a little unexpected for me. For one thing, Sunny Side Up from Juliette Has a Gun had flown completely under my radar until I recently heard of it. I thought I'd tried everything from this house, but somehow had never even seen this one till I was browsing Sephora's website one day! This one is also unexpected because I always associate sunshine with fresh or citrus scents, but this is not that at all. The main notes in this one are sandalwood and musk. It smells a little different when I directly sniff my skin than to what I get in the general sillage in the air. The sillage is very antique book to me, almost musty. Don't get me wrong though, I do love books and it's not necessarily a bad thing! The scent closer to the skin is a gentle warm woody musk with a hint of dried flower that I don't mind at all! I would say for sure that Sunny Side Up fits right into that book scent family like Book from Commodity and Whispers in the Library from Maison Margiela Replica. The sunshine in this one is more reminiscent of an early morning quiet time of reading and tea in a sunshine-warmed window seat than it is anything traditionally sunny. That's okay with me! Unfortunate to say, this was not for me. I purchased the travel size from Sephora because it was trending like crazy on TikTok. I absolutely loved it but it did not last long on me. I sprayed it, smelled it for the first 5 minutes, then every trace of it even being there was gone. Needless to say, I returned it. Fast forward a year later I decided to try again because I loved the scent so much and was willing to see if maybe by some miracle the longevity changed. It did! However I noticed it wasn’t the same scent. All I could smell was this odd Playdough smell. It was absolutely disgusting. It made me nauseous throughout the day because I could constantly smell it on me. I only sprayed it twice too! Im planning on returning it because I cannot stand the Playdough scent. Its so sad because a year ago I remembered it smelled so good and different. Not anymore sadly. I don’t think I did anything different either because one of the ingredients in the perfume is suppose to ‘enhance your natural smell’ or something like that. It is very true that this fragrance smells differently on everyone. I was so excited to try out this fragrance. When I first tested it in store I was underwhelmed as I didn't smell much of anything. By the time I made it back to my car I was hit with such an alluring scent so I purchased the travel size. Throughout wearing and testing the fragrance out over the next couple of days I noticed that sometimes when I wore it it smelled very clean and unisex like but subtle (skin scent) and I liked it so I purchased the full size bottle. But then other times I wore it it reminded me of mothballs mixed with cologne. I heard that batch by batch it can smell different and the size of the batch bottle can smell different as well. It just goes to show that this molecular fragrance works different on everyone's skin so be sure to test it out a couple of times before making your purchase or buy a sample or travel size first before committing to a full bottle. Recently I've been all about the fragrances. I've been trying to get my hands on as many perfume samples as possible, whenever I can. There's a few brands though that have been unattainable to me because of cost, and one of those has been Tom Ford. I had been dying to get my hands on a Tom Ford fragrance, so when I got the chance to try one with one of my latest Sephora orders, I jumped at the chance. It definitely lived up to all the hype too! I was SO excited to get Ébène Fumé, but when I first smelled it in the bottle, I was kind of disappointed. I didn't like it at ALL. When I sprayed it on myself though, that was a whole different story! I instantly fell in love with it after I smelled it on myself. Something about the earthy scent mixed with rose and leather just captivated my senses and made me feel calm and happy. It may sound kind of cheesy, but it's the truth. It wasn't an overpowering scent, but it was strong enough that it projected a bit and it lasted for a few hours. I don't claim to be any kind of perfume expert by any means, these are just my opinions and observations. It's a classic woods scent from the earthy and woody fragrance family. The key notes are: Palo Santo Wood Accord, Ebony wood accord, and rose. Ébène Fumé merges the purifying essence of Palo Santo with notes of seductive ebony wood, arousing exquisite calm and heightened spiritual luxury. Such a gorgeous fragrance! I like complex fragrances and with its deep woody smokiness this one hits it out of the park. The Bottle: A good expression of what to expect, in my opinion. It's linear, solid looking and dark, this is not a frothy, frolicking in the garden kind of fragrance and the bottle is a good indication of it. The spray is a standard size deposit. I would prefer a finer mist for a fragrance that packs the punch of Ebene Fume, but it's a minor gripe considering how I fall in love every time I spray. The fragrance: Ebene Fume opens with a strong whiff of a smoky wood. The Palo Santo is very obvious, and if that something you like, this is unmistakably inviting. I was a little wary, as I really don't like burnt notes in my fragrances, but the smokiness of this comes from a deep, dark wood, not ash. Incense and pepperiness lend to the smokiness. The opening lingers and it take a while for the dry down to start opening up the leather notes on my skin. I'm usually quite averse to anything that smells like leather, but this one is just mellowed enough by the accompanying amber that it rounds out to a something I find myself throwing my head back and inhaling deeply. it eventually mellows down to a rich resinous, aged wood, a hint of spice and smokiness. There is something baseline animalic about this fragrance that I can't quite put my finger on, but it's definitely there. My husband described it as skunk, and although I don't agree, I know it's the animalic nature of the dry down that suggests that. Longevity and sillage: Ebeme Fume is unisex with a masculine lean and both not for the weak of heart. Ebene Fume lasts and lasts and projects and projects! I find myself actively smelling this a good 6-8 hours after I initially spray it. And it projects 4 feet easily, no matter how conservative the spray. True to its name, this scent is all about tobacco and vanilla, or, maybe more accurately, vanilla tobacco. Rather than coming across as two separate notes, the two are blended perfectly into a sweet and spicy, uplifting fragrance. The tobacco isn't that of a lit nor unlit cigarette or even a quality cigar; it's the most comforting of tobacco smells, at least to me: pipe tobacco. It's not harsh or invasive but warm and inviting. People often cough when they walk by cigarette smokers, but, more often than not, people smile and remark on how good it smells when someone nearby is smoking a pipe. Tobacco Vanille is not what I would call gourmand. The vanilla seems to round out the tobacco in the most pleasant way. The way the tobacco and vanilla play off each other is complicated but comforting. Imagine finding your non-smoking mother baking but with a cigarette in one hand and a tray of cookies straight from the oven in the other. The vanilla is clean and almost sharp without the warmth many vanilla fragrances have. The tobacco is pleasurable and not dirty. The two together so blatantly and contradictory yet working together so well just makes you take notice but then step back and enjoy it without overanalyzing it. It starts with sweet vanilla and fresh tobacco leaves. It is quite spicy in a sweet sexy way. After a while the tobacco gets more dominant and it is really sensual- The dry down is to die for. It smells like sweet, cosy, nice vanila blended with a pinch of autumn dry leaves. I've grown up surrounded by the scent of tobacco, however I am never repulsed by it. The smokiness of the scent seems to be a comforting medium for me. When combined with the rich vanilla in this fragrance, the tobacco really takes on that soothing feel. It feels rather 'homey'. The scent is very strong at first, very rich and tobacco-y. If you've ever smelt a packet of cigarettes you'll find that they have a slight raisin type smell. This certain smell has been emulated in Tobacco Vanille's opening. The vanilla is sweet, yet not too sweet. This is certainly something that would smell amazing on both men and women, a true unisex fragrance. Tried the Kilian sample collection: here is my review for black phantom. While this isn’t a bad fragrance, it’s on the masculine side and a fragrance that could easily offend. It’s very nutty and the rum sticks out in the beginning. The dry down is on the sweeter side but still has a masculine musk. it is very unique and you shouldn’t blind buy. Overall I don’t think the cost is justified but only because it’s more masc and didnt wow me but the same could be said for the more costly fragrances that I enjoy.gigiapplecheek

Trying a different fragrance houses for 2022, must say I’m impressed w/ BP. It’s a foodie fragrance but it’s a romantic scent imo. Wifey loves it. She hasn’t tried it yet but I think she and women in general can pull this one off. Opening is a nice blend of rum/chocolate (personally I can’t separate the smells) and coffee but as it settles down it is a vanilla/caramel vibe. Lasts pretty much all day, I didn’t have to spray an excess amt (shoulders, wrists and front neck bypassed spraying on clothes). Overall a great fragrance. This is the headiest gourmand I have ever had the privilege of wearing. Black Phantom by By Kilian is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women and men. Black Phantom was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Sidonie Lancesseur. If you want a fragrance that is warm, sweet, earthy, and is strong enough to last all day, then this is the one for you! One spritz is honestly all you need. It smells like sandalwood, rum, and coffee, yet it has this subtle sweetness to it that balances everything out. I am also in LOVE with this packaging. The sleek black bottle with the gold plate and top is so stunning and beautiful. It also has this beautiful design on the sides of the bottle. This fragrance reminds me of fall time and feeling warm and cozy indoors. I am obsessed with the comforting feeling I get from the fragrance. It opens with an unapologetically rich dark rum note; the scent of a bottle of rum that had been aged for years, and, then reduced to a syrup. As the initial dry down commences, a dry toasted vanilla note mixes with the syrupy rum, and drapes itself luxuriously over the dry scent of sun baked sandalwood barrels filled with freshly roasted cacao nibs. Wearing this feels like being wrapped in a mink blanket. If you love sophisticated gourmands, buy this. This product is one of my go-tos and absolute favorites. The way the product is packaged helps preserve the integrity of the fragrance, in addition to giving it a luxurious feel. The oil is strong enough to have a long lasting scent, but I wouldn't say it's overpowering.
