Quite Happy with or without a Pandemic. Not having been to a salon in over a year, I wanted to try something, and used this with HairFlair for beach waves. My hair is thick, previously colored, and super straight. Scent isn't bad, not like 'perm solutions', and I kept it at 20 minutes and got the wave I wanted. Glad I purchased 2 boxes, because I did run out, and I have short hair – so if you have long hair – get a few boxes. (my hair is barely touching my shoulders). Definitely buying again, and saving $200+
I have used this perm for the past couple of years and was very happy with the results, it left my gray hair soft and the curl was very nice and there was no strong odor to the solutions. However, I just purchased a box and went last week to get my hair done and was astonished. First the solutions stunk like a very stong perm, it actually was burning my nose and making my eyes water, I had to cover my face. The hairdresser was even having a hard time breathing. The curl is awful, there really is no curl and my hair feels real dry, plus I have noticed my hair is falling out quite a bit and in the front part where my bangs are it feels like a brillow brush and when I look closely, I have little stubbles. This perm really did a number on my hair. I have always liked this perm and always bought it to get my perm done, but I am not sure what happend this time. Not sure if they changed the solution. Any Ideas of what could of happend. The home perm is very good.I have used this brand for over 20 years. But this time the delivery packaging was too poor, liquid things were sent in plastic bags. When the plastic bag was opened, there was a smell of solution, everything inside was scattered, and the solution leaked out from the mouth of the bottle. It used to be packed in a box.Hong
I bought this to perm my mother's hair. She has complained for a while now that her hair has gotten thinner. So I googled how to perm hair, ordered this perm and some rods, and got to work. The worst part was that it took so long to roll the hair on the rods. As you can see from the picture the curls turned out very well and really lasted a long time. I liked it so much that I ordered one and permed my own hair. This is the first perm I've had in several years! Mine also did well and I have so much more body. There was no noticeable damage to our hair. Mine is color treated, my mother's is not. I should note, too, that we both have thyroid issues but there was no problem with this perm "taking". This is packaged for shipping with inadequate padding. I have ordered several times recently and the boxes inside the shipping package are crushed, torn and damp from the permanent wave solution leaking. Purchased this and used 1 time and am higly disappointed. I relax my hair normally 6-8 weeks. I like to keep my hair short because it's very low maintenance so deciding to get this after the store was out of stock for my originally used rexlaxer and I was in dire need. I used and am highly upset. It left my hair extremely brittle, made my hair look ragged and extremely damaged. I couldn't wait until 4 weeks to get a spot perm for my shorter back and sides. I noticed immediately after I applied it was awful. Do not recommend nor will I ever use again. I took the one purchased and trashed immediately. Not worth it and a really bad like of relaxers.

Quite Happy with or without a Pandemic. Not having been to a salon in over a year, I wanted to try something, and used this with HairFlair for beach waves. My hair is thick, previously colored, and super straight. Scent isn't bad, not like 'perm solutions', and I kept it at 20 minutes and got the wave I wanted. Glad I purchased 2 boxes, because I did run out, and I have short hair – so if you have long hair – get a few boxes. (my hair is barely touching my shoulders). Definitely buying again, and saving $200+
I have used this perm for the past couple of years and was very happy with the results, it left my gray hair soft and the curl was very nice and there was no strong odor to the solutions. However, I just purchased a box and went last week to get my hair done and was astonished. First the solutions stunk like a very stong perm, it actually was burning my nose and making my eyes water, I had to cover my face. The hairdresser was even having a hard time breathing. The curl is awful, there really is no curl and my hair feels real dry, plus I have noticed my hair is falling out quite a bit and in the front part where my bangs are it feels like a brillow brush and when I look closely, I have little stubbles. This perm really did a number on my hair. I have always liked this perm and always bought it to get my perm done, but I am not sure what happend this time. Not sure if they changed the solution. Any Ideas of what could of happend. I have been going to this hair dresser for over 30 years and like I mentioned earlier, I have been using this product for the past couple of years with excellent results until now.

I LOVE THIS NEW ORS NO-LYE RELAXER, WITH THE OLIVE, SHEA AND PEQUI OILS. MY HAIR IS THICK, BUT THIS REGULAR, DID A GREAT JOB,AND MY HAIR IS SHINY, AND MOISTURIZER. I ADDED A TEMP COLOR RINSE AFTER I PERMED MY HAIR AND THE ORS OIL MOSTURIZING LOTION WITH CASTOR OIL HAS KEEP MY HAIR LOOKING GREAT. I ALSO RECOMMEND THE ORS PEQUI OIL HEAT PROTECTANT. I went back to natural about 6 years ago but before I did, I relaxed my hair for most of my life. I used this relaxer on occasion and it worked fine if used as instructed and as long as I prepped my edges so I didn't get a chemical burn. This brand was my favorite relaxer of all of the ones I tried because it straightened new growth easily and didn't feel as harsh on my hair and scalp. It is easy to find at local superstores like Target and Walmart as well as grocery stores and drug stores. The price wasn't bad but I don't know the current costs. I stopped using relaxers on my hair because I wanted to limit the amount of chemicals in/on my body. I'm happy I made the change and never plan to go back. No judgment to those that still relax their hair though.
This was my first time relaxing my hair in almost 20 years. I used two containers to have my friend do it at home (unprofessional) Perfect results. Zero scalp burning. No seriously foul smell. Things have really changed over the decades with relaxers especially for black folks hair. The box has all the things you will need except neutralizing shampoo and application brush. I’m very very pleased. Orders two more for my next new growth relaxing in a few months. Also recommend getting the conditions from this brand that are also great and smell good too.CaribbeanRover
