Smells amazing and is easy to apply. Unfortunately that's where the good in my review ends. I bought the Magic Salem and pastel Iris colors and honestly? I wasn't impressed. They don't last (pastel Iris has only lasted one wash, Magic Salem – which was quoted to last 3 weeks – only lasted 3.) Not to mention, Magic Salem is their purple, but it came out blue rather than purple. And to make matters worse, the dyes faded super poorly? It looked awful.

I love Lunar Tides. The salon I go to for my highlights use this product. I also purchase this as a consumer for at home use in between salon visits. The dyes are super vibrant. A big plus is that Lunar Tides are vegan and cruelty free. I like mixing colors to make different shades. These are semi-permanent so they will wash out. I recommend washing your hair with cold water and use Watercolor Shampoo for whatever color your hair is. I bought 4 dyes from Lunar Tides: Juniper Green, Aurora Green, Pastel Iris, and their toner. the toner worked great, I loved it! however the dyes are absolutely terrible. I read so many reviews before buying from them and the only “bad” thing I could find was that it was runny and messy. the hair dye I received is almost a gel consistency, not runny at all. my hair was platinum blonde before I dyed it with juniper green. it is very dark in the container, but bright green on the hair; this was my first red flag. I kept hoping it would be darker when I washed it out but obviously it was lighter. my hair was joker green. I figured this was my fault for toning my hair and thought maybe that could be the issue. however, I also dyed part of my hair with the Pastel Iris. in the container, it looks like a darker purple (the shade you think of when I say purple) so I assumed it would be darker than I expected; it was not. it went on the hair very light, looked very similar to the toner. after I rinsed it out (with cold water as you should) the color was BARELY there. it looked like I left toner on for a little too long. again, I figured this was my fault for ordering a pastel dye. HOWEVER, I just washed my hair for the first time since dying it (it has been exactly ONE week) and the color is completely gone. the part that was dyed purple has absolutely no color in it. this was after ONE WASH. there is absolutely no reason for my hair to be blonde right now. I have being dying my hair bright, vibrant red for just over five years now, and Arctic Fox has been part of my color maintenance routine since day one. Vibrant red hair is not easy to maintain and keep from fading quickly, which can very quickly do serious damage to your hair if your only using ammonia-based chemical dyes every time you need to refresh your color. Arctic Fox doesn't damage hair at all. In fact, it helps undue the damage caused by permanent dyes because it doesn't have any harsh chemicals that strip hair. Arctic Fox is actually GOOD for your hair and works just like a conditioner, not like a hair dye. I add Arctic Fox to my regular conditioner (sulfate free of course) so that every time I wash my hair I'm also keeping my red looking vibrant and even healthier every time. I always wash my hair using the coolest water I can tolerate and after I shampoo I apply my premixed bottle of 3/4 sulfate free conditioner, 1/4 Arctic Fox Wrath + a dollop of Violet Dream and let it sit on my hair secured on top of my with a claw clip while I finish the rest of my shower routine, just like I would do with a nourishing hair mask. Once my routine is done, I rinse out my hair thuroughly in cool water and towel dry it only so I get the most out of conditioning my hair, and viola! My looks, feels softer and healthier than before I washed it, plus my red still looks like it did the day I first day I dyed it. It's a win win. Not only does Artic Fox keep my red looking great, but it leaves my hair healthier every time also. I love this stuff. I am older and gray hair just does not look good on me. But as I get older my hair sucks up perm hair dye on the ends and turning them black, while about 2 inches at the roots will turn either blonde or red. But Arctic Fox fits the bill, and it smells good (like grapes). It does not damage your hair, as it is semi perm and no peroxide or developer. So far I have used Wrath, Poison, Sunset Orange, Ritual, Purple Rain, Transylvania. Purple Rain (now called Purple AF) and Transylvania were used as a mix. The colors will only bleed right after you apply them, but otherwise you do not need to worry about bleeding. Arctic Fox really is like using a deep conditioner with highly pigmented color in it. Leaves your hair shiny, soft and smelling like grapes. Wash you hair in cold water and only a few times a week, the color will loose its intensity and fade not go away. The Arctic Fox web site tells you how the colors fade, for example Wrath is red but fades to pink. So in the course of 4 weeks your hair will be vibrant red, magenta, dark pink, lighter pink. I do not bleach my hair, so on the front (the gray and white part) the color looks like what it is like on bleached hair. While the back is brown about a level 5, so it is highlighted with the color I used. If you plan to use it on unbleached hair then you have to use the more vivid colors.
I have virgin dirty blonde hair. I bought the shade Transylvania which is a pure black color. I applied it last night to my clean hair, no products or nothing in it and let it sit in foil for about 40 minutes. I didn't apply the dye to my whole head, I just wanted to add pieces here and there throughout my hair like I've done in the past. Upon rinsing my hair out with cold water and letting it dry I noticed how faded the black looks. In the shower the water ran blue. I know black dyes typically contain blue but this was like a vibrant blueish green. In artificial lighting the dye in my hair looks like a dark grey, but in the natural sunlight it looks like a greyish green which isn't very pretty at the moment. I bought the dye a few days ago and applied it basically as soon as I got home. My hair is dark brown and I always kept it natural and virgin. NO bleach, No hassle, I used 30 Vol. developer (Like box said to), about 30 mins later, a quick rinse, and voila! My hair was fabulous. This is such a unique pink!!! For platinum hair only – this would never work on darker hair as it's borderline pastel. Probably the same level of pigment as another popular brand's cotton candy pink color. But this one has like a warmer tone that is SO unique I've been dying my hair crazy colors for 10 years and have never seen a shade like this. I can't even describe it accurately but it's a neon pastel leaning almost coral-ish… ok it's not coral but a warm neon pastel pink? Only bleached platinum will show this as the true color. Darker blonde than platinum I do not know as I haven't tried. Also I LOVE the container! It's like the iro one. So easy to squeeze out every drop and convenient flip top.

My experience here was a bit different than all other previous reviews, so take it as it is. I have very thin curly brown hair and this gave me a nice dark blonde colour. It looks very beautiful in terms of colour, has good coverage and is easy to mix and apply (although you need your own bowl and mixing tool). My hair is long but one box was enough and unlike all other dyes, it didn't bleed to the towel or pillow at all and didn't stain my skin. Now the cons: it has a VERY strong smell when applying! Not sure how everyone is saying it smells good… the smell goes away the next day, but do not apply in a closed space. Also, and this made me fear for my life: my hair got extremely dry right after washing the dye off… it felt like I was touching hay and not hair. I was shocked!! Even after the conditioner from the box, my own conditioner, it felt like it was ruined… only after a week or so of putting leave in conditioner everyday and not using shampoo it got back to normal, so beware you may need to do some extra conditioner care afterwards (this never happened to me before with any other dye). I mixed this color (5D light golden chestnut) with 7D (golden blond). The ratio is one unit of developer to one unit of color. So I used a half unit of each color to equal one color unit and blended that with one unit of the developer. The remaining color that I didn't use from each bottle will be used next time, so I get two uses out of each box. I chose to blend those two colors to try to get close to my natural shade, which is a light brown with some golden strands and some hints of red. I did a bunch of research before I bought these colors. I learned that the same shades act differently on all different people and just accepted that I wouldn't be able to predict the exact outcome. If you want to be more sure of the actual result, you can save your hair from the shower for a week and then use that as a test to see how the color takes to your hair. Who knew there'd be a use for that annoying shower hair! My results were quite dark the day that I dyed it — it was a rich chocolate tone. It lightened up after a few washes. It's now been more than a week since I colored it and it looks great. I have about 20% gray and it covered them well. I like that the formula doesn't have a harsh chemical scent. this is the 3rd time ive used this particular color from this brand. the first time my hair turned out a beautiful dark violet color. the 2nd time, it turned out bright red. the 3rd time, which is this last time i used it, it turned a coppery red color. never using this again. now i have to wait at least a month before trying another brand. absolutely ridiculous. when i wrote a review on the Garnier website, they deleted it and said it went against their standards. i guess their standards consist of not getting negative feedback.Rachael
I truly love this Blue Curaçao (aka Intense Pure Indigo)! I have…had virgin hair that was strawberry blonde until I dyed it with Garnier Fructise Intense Fiery Red all over. I then decided I wanted some dark highlights. After hours of searching for the perfect color, I found the Blue Curaçao. I had washed my hair twice in the time it took to receive the blue (a total of 7 days). I sectioned the top and sides of my hair to do 4 strips/highlights of the blue. I then pulled the portion underneath (the portion near my neck) and colored all of that with the blue. I left it in for 25 minutes, rinsed it out with cool water until the water was no longer Blue, put on the Mask Treatment (D – included with the Garnier Fructise) and let that sit a couple minutes. I then rinsed it all, used a thermal protectant spray (Aussie Total Miracle) and blow dried my hair. The colors are beautiful together! My hair feels soft and is shiny. This is literally the worst product I've ever used. Not only did it not work. It ruined my hair. It took my light brown unprocessed hair and turned the middle orange and the ends are now the color and consistency of a banana. I've been coloring my own hair for 25 years. My mother has been a cosmotologist for 40 years. I'm no novice when it comes to hair. I normally would never have bought bleach or color for that matter in box form but this was the only thing available to me so I thought i'd give it a shot how bad could it be. I never imagined in a million years that it would DESTROY my hair. I followed the directions on the box. I had high hopes for this dye!!! my hair is dark brown almost black with grays, so I knew that the color wouldn't be too bright but after looking at the packaging I was hoping it would look as pictured. so after applying, 45min setting time and rinsing out and applying conditioner per the hair dye instructions, my hair had Violet vibes. my hair was a dark Violet while my gray hair was lavender. I couldn't really notice it in the nighttime so I waited till the morning to take some pictures and evaluate the results. the first day was nice and bright. day 2 my hair looked more burgundy than violet and dye kept washing out which is understandable. By day 7 my hair was a lighter shade of dark brown. Now a month later my hair is light brown. I don't like the color! Its almost like I bleached my hair and now my hair just feels dry and damaged and there is no trace of violet or purple at all!! so the reason why I gave this 3 stars is because for the first week hair color actually looked pretty decent and you don't have to bleach your hair before purple coloring, its all in one which makes it simply but a month later my hair is more brown than violet or purple and my hair is damaged. don't get me wrong I know that when you dye your hair your hair gets damaged but now it's damaged and it's a color I do not like! First of all I'm super impressed with everything that's included in the box, even a hair wrap! The instructions are clear and easy to follow and if you have trouble there's always a video to watch. The color concentrate is *inky* and it likes to dribble so you have to watch that (my sink may have a small spot that might never go away). But it all mixes together super easy and fast. The scent isn't terrible, you still get that hair dye smell but it has some nicer additions. Application was a breeze, the consistency was perfect. Not too thick, but not watery either. I'm not used to using a plastic cap to help so I wandered around the house looking like an elf for a half an hour but they, that's fun! The moment of truth: the rinse – this dye rinsed out so quick and easy, I was really surprised. And the color is amazing! I had dark roots and quite a bit of greys around my temples. It dyed my hair this gorgeous dark teal that darkens to dark emerald towards the ends. Fabulous! My only real complaint is that I wish the kit had come with pro gloves, the cheap plastic ones split apart and I now have a teal colored streak across my palm. I have very dark Asian hair. So I had to bleach 2x before using the demi-permanent. Despite this my hair was still not light enough and only partially took the color. So for the amateurs I would recommend a slightly darker gray for silver. But for light gray on blonde hair these products would be fine.Tara

Pros: (1) No ammonia, smells quite nice. (2) Easy to prepare and apply. (3) Didn't drip. (4) The colour, of the amount that did take, was lovely. Cons: (1) My hair is very fine, and usually very soft and supple, but as I was washing out the dye, my hair absolutely awful. It felt literally like straw, and was badly tangled. It took me quite a while, and a LOT of de-tangle product to eventually get the tangles out. Although I had been very gentle and careful, I was extremely concerned at the amount of hair that was left in the comb afterwards. This is not usual. (2) I am petite, and have quite small hands, but even I struggled to get the gloves on, and getting them off, especially with the cream on my hands, was almost impossible! (3) I have shoulder-length, very fine hair, and left the product on for an extra 10 minutes, but it did not cover well, especially at the roots, which I was particularly careful to do properly. I do not usually have this issue with other brands. Somewhat disappointing. (4) You are told to use a "Hazelnut sized" amount of the conditioner. This is actually the amount I use of my usual conditioner, but using that amount of the product supplied just wasn't sufficient. I believe this is because the conditioner is quite think, so it doesn't spread well enough. To be honest, because my hair felt so awful, and was obviously badly tangled, I ended up using almost half the tube supplied in hopes it would help. It was totally ineffective. I bought this after being blonde for 2 years. Wanted something dark almost black but with more tones in then black. I knew there may be some faults as my hair was platinum and damaged and not filled so some of the results I was expecting. My roots where the least damage was the colour took really well and was a nice deep colour with different tones and not too reddish which I didn't want. The damaged ends didn't take too well but I was expecting this. I have thin medium length hair and usually can get away with 1 box when dying my hair but had to use the 2 I bought and buy a further box the next day. I had a disaster with bleach. I was left with yellow patchy and white hair..it was truly horrible. Decided to give this a try. I am so glad I did! Left this dye on for the full 30min as stated. Found the dye didn’t drip and it smelt nice compared to most dyes. I proceeded to wash the dye out and dry my hair and applied a good slather of the conditioner which also smelt divine. My hair turned out a lovely blonde with natural blonde highlights throughout! My roots are a blonde colour instead of yellow/brassy colour as before. The result of the dye really blends well together. My hair is also very soft and looks like I’ve had it professionally done! Wash in Cold Water Wash with sulfate-free, silicone-free shampoo and conditioner, and rinse with cold water. The more you wash the more it fades your color: try dry shampoo in between washes. Avoid High Heat Styling High heat can strip color out of hair, so make sure to turn down the temperature on your heat tools such as curling irons or straighteners, and use a heat protectant for your hair when you do style it. Avoid Swimming Prolonged exposure to water fades color, and chlorine especially can strip almost all the color out of your hair in one swim! If you’re planning on going swimming you can try color-sealant products or swim caps. Add Dye to Your Conditioner Add some leftover color to your sulfate-free conditioner and use it every time you wash your hair! I have been doing my own hair color for over 20 years, so I have plenty of experience. The color I chose, Midnight Tanzanite, is a very deep purple/black, so I prepared carefully to color while trying to minimize staining. Instead of using the bottle with nozzle tip, I transferred the color to a bowl and used a brush to apply it carefully, trying to keep it off my scalp and everything else but my hair. I followed the directions to rinse, shampoo & condition when it was time. However, the color deeply stained my scalp, sink, & shower. The color of my hair was the intense dark purple shown on the box, but so was my scalp! It took 4 more shampoos to remove the stain from my skin, and despite bleach treatments, my tub is still stained. Note: The photo I have posted was taken after removing the stain from my scalp.Lisa
The product itself is not damaging to the hair, especially because you don't have to bleach it. However, read the instructions carefully. This stuff attaches to your scalp so fast and does not come out. Make sure you don't get any on your scalp. No matter how hot the water you use, you will still leak purple everywhere. If you're sweating, you will have purple sweat. I think if I had gotten it done professionally, I would have been happier with the results. But I'm used to doing all kinds of crazy colors to my hair and I've never had a problem with it sticking to my scalp.Jinxie

I used this for the first time this week. I really like the shade. The trick to getting a good application is to make sure you shampoo your hair before application so it’s damp and why residue/build up is gone, which can make the color not adhere to your hair. Remember, semi-permanent coats the surface of your hair, not the cuticle, so you want it as clean as possible. this stuff is AMAZING!! So I have been on the grey silver hair trend (well trying to get there at least) lol and the stuff is a lifesaver! I couldn't get the darn brass out of my hair and it was driving me crazy! tried almost everything! My last option was toning but after all the bleaching I didn't want to use chemicals… this saved my life and turned my pale yellow to a beautiful silver after one wash with a little bit in my shampoo! then I shadow tried with it full strength! no brass slightly profile like I wanted (only in the sun and thats because I left it on as little longer to achieve the purple silver look). I also used it on my son because w bleached his mohawk twice but was still orange like really orange! one freaking wash with a purple shampoo I made with this (a little stronger than the one I made for my hair since his was so orange) and we got a beautiful silver!! I got one bottle and have made 3 batches of purple shampoo, shadow ripped my hair fill strength 4 times and still have over half a bottle left! For a back story I am a natural sandy brown and my hair is in a mohawk currently. So I purchased the iroiro neon blue and first I did a bleach kit as I mention darker natural hair as I wanted to get the full effects of the neon. So bleached first then onto the color. I applied the color and left it on for 45 minutes so that i would get the bright vibrant blue i wanted. 45 minutes later i wash dye out under cold water as warm will fade it, didnt want that. However I have been dying hair for 20+years so I'm experienced and know what I'm doing. I am almost a week out and I literally look like I used one of the 1q 0 washes dye because I havent washed it yet but it looks as if I've pretty much combed it right out. This is by far the worst hairdye I have ever used. I've used numerous brands and numerous different colors and I will never purchase this brand again. Ive used multiple Iroiro colors by now (Plum, Pink, Yellow, and one of the blue colors) and I love them. The smell is FANTASTIC, my hair feels great, and the price is worth it. The pouches are so convenient and much easier than having to shake the last bits of dye in a squeeze bottle (aka Arctic Fox). Also the colors, especially pink, last a good while and fade nicely. This product worked wonderfully. I used L’Oreal colorista for brunettes to make a conditioner to put on my hair first. This is a true burgundy plum on medium brunettes. It came out so red I was impressed. Not that messy imo. My only regret is that this color looks better when I’m pale in winter. Can’t wait to tone it with a true violet. So far Amika violet toning drops are helping make it a bit less extreme. Great color payoff, environmentally friendly packaging, minimal damage. Box Dye is usually a hit or miss for me, but this dye honestly is one of the better ones I’ve tried. The dye itself did not smell bad and the steps were simple enough for anyone.to understand. It didn’t stain which is a huge bonus. It didn’t completely color my hair evenly, but that’s more due to my hair already being different shades/colors. The color turned out more vibant than I expected. A week later, the color has faded a little but that’s usually what happens to me with hair dyes. However, The color still looks pretty (especially in the sun). I will consider this brand in the future when dyeing my hair. Do I recommend? Yes. Some box dyes hate my hair but if this works well on my hair, there’s a good chance it will work well on yours too. I’ve dyed my hair at least a dozen times, but it’s been a while. I used Féria’s Coral Pink in March without issue, so I thought blue hair sounded fun and picked up Féria’s M10 Cosmic Azure. I’m not going to knock off any stars for the dye being more dark blueberry on my hair, rather than the more purple blue on the box, because I had previous dye on my hair. But I will dock it all the points for the terrible formula. It came with a scent ampoule, but that didn’t help. The dye made my eyes water profusely and my husband even commented on it. The dye dripped everywhere in my shower. I was able to clean the tile with bleach and CLR Mold and Mildew, but some of the grout is still blue. While it was incredibly drippy, it didn’t penetrate hair well at all. I used almost the entire bottle of dye, rubbing it into my hair for 10-15 minutes, then waited another 10-15 while I cleaned blue hair dye out of the shower, and I still have areas where my hair is still brown/coral pink. I would repeatedly work the dye into my hair and could see it wasn’t penetrating like you’d expect the dye formula to do. I do NOT recommend this dye and am now thinking about a nice, boring dark brown next, maybe not from Féria’s line.dia.s
I’ve been using this brand’s dye starting from their R48 to V38 (this dye) and it’s been maybe a year or so? When I used the R48 color it was more red and that was the first time trying out a maroonish-plum color and I immediately became addicted. It lasted a good few months and would’ve lasted probably more if I didn’t get impatient and dye it again lmao my hair dye addiction got out of hand. I’ll say the more often you dye your hair a red-purple color the faster it’ll wash out. I know nothing is permanent but for me this washed out a bit faster than I imagined for a permanent hair dye. That’s okay tho because I dye my hair rather often and it’s fun. When I dye my hair with this dye it fades into an auburn, reddish orange color and my natural hair is dark brown. You may have to retouch up your roots once every month and a half or so because that’s the fastest thing to wash out. When dying your hair with this it smells super strong like chemicals and can make your nose and even your eyes burn if the fumes get too close to your face? And it takes a while to wash out but the shampoo smells super good that it comes with and the color always comes out nice and vibrant. 🙂 I’ll be buying it again probably since it’s sold in all stores near me but if I used another brand like arctic fox or something I’m sure I could get similar results.wee

I didn't approve or ask for this shade! I got starry black. I'm a natural blonde. In order for me to achieve black hair that doesn't turn green after the 1st wash,I would have to do a filler color first like a medium brown. I don't want to put all those chemicals on my hair. Plus I don't want black hair! I DID NOT USE THIS! I have used feria in the past though, I have used their bleaching kit and their auburn, red and black cherry shades. It is the only box dye I will use. It not only has an essential oil you add to it for a better smell but it also helps the hair feel softer and more hydrated as well as look shiny and healthy, well as healthy as dyed hair can look. For a box dye it's not bad. If I had gotten a color I approved of I totally would have used it! My daughter has medium golden brown hair and has been debating allowing me to use this on her. I'm a natural brunette and while I have dyed my hair a few times over the past couple years I've never went and done a crazy color now if you swipe over you will see I went bright blue and then very quickly decided that that did not fit my skin tone whatsoever and it need to die. The variety I used was l'oreal paris feria shimmering in deep violet. I took this 1st picture about a week after dying my hair with the dye and I had washed my hair about twice using color safe shampoo and color safe conditioning products. It immediately started fading pretty fast right after dying it was a really really dark navy blue with very slight purple undertones and for undertones and then after a few weeks of washing my hair and it's just continuing to lighten dramatically. Currently I'm back to a muddy/blue tinged green. I have used this brand of dye before in different colors when I was dying over brunette hair without any bleach involved and I also do remember that it faded very fast but it wasn't as noticeable because I was dying over dark Brown hair where it's now dyed over light blue and it's very easy to see how fast it has faded down. #complimentary #feriahaircolor
The box came with everything I needed for color application as well as after care. Instructions were easy enough to follow. There was enough color to fully saturate my hair. I started with light brown hair and it got it to a dark vibrant black. Washed as instructed and used after care products and my hair did not feel damaged. I have washed it probably close to 10 time and there is minimal fade. Definitely recommend if you are wanting to box dye your hair.wynona.l

I’m trying to grow out my highlights & “embrace the grey” but have a bit of fun with temporary colour while I do so. I bought this product after a lot of internet research. Did my patch test, this is a “natural” product, no ammonia, parabens etc so was hopeful. All ok & did a couple of strand tests too. Ready to go! PLEASE make sure you wear gloves, mask around your face, ears & neck with a barrier cream, rinse hair out over a sink or bath. DON’T shower it off over your body! You will look like a Smurf! I wanted to temporarily colour my hair for the start of the football (soccer) season. I left the blue on for about 2 and a half hours & the purple & pink for about an hour and a half. I wrapped my head in cling film in case it dripped, it’s a nice thick gel, so I don’t think it would but better safe that sorry. It smells fruity so no stinky head while you wait. I loved the result! My hair felt soft & moisturised, still does. I knew the blue wouldn’t last as long, red tones grip better, so after 2 weeks & 13 double shampoo washes, the blue has almost gone but the pink & purple is going strong. I still get purple hands while showering but no skin transfer so all good. I forgot to take a before so the first photo is after the strand test but you can kind of see my highlighted, grey & mousey “before” hair. Second & third photos are a day after colouring. Fourth & fifth is to show how the pink & purple have washed out & the blue is almost gone after a lot of washes. If you want a longer lasting semi permanent colour, I would highly recommend this product! Love this product!! Used for over 10 yrs now. Use Vaseline around ears and edges of face to keep stains off skin. Nail polish remover will do the rest. I have black hair and it will only show on porous strands such as bleached or blonde – otherwise it has no where to go and will stain things as it comes off. What I love is that it DOES stain which means as it fades out you still have color stained hair until it fades to a more pastel color. Keeps from having to do all the time. I use gloves to apply liberally. Smells delicious! I then wrap in a cap (plastic bag will work, too) and let it stay on as long as I can- note that this method almost blends into my black hair until a first couple washes. Also note that I would lay a towel over my pillow until the first couple washes. Also, note that I use a special towel for drying bc color will come off the wet hair. Also note that I don't wear white or swim until after the first couple of washes. It's a stronger look than a salon color and lasts a VERY long time. So, if you want a fun color for the weekend, choose something else as it really is semi-permanent and doesn't just wash away from bleached or blonde hair. Hope this helps!CrazyHair Bae
I’ve been using Punky Colors since they were originally called ‘Jerome Russell Punky Colours’. I am a professional hairstylist and I love these non-pro colors for solid colors. Cherry on Top is the perfect bright warm red. It’s bright, it’s true to shade, and there isn’t a hint of cold undertone. That’s why I prefer to use Cherry On Top paired up with the diluting clear to create my pastel pinks in warmer colors than the actual Pink Flamingo or Pastel line. It lasts longer and looks like bubblegum. Yes, this color bleeds. A lot. It is a high concentrate of pigment which helps it last longer on bleached hair and coat non-bleached hair. My suggestion to a lot of you is to get a black towel and black pillowcase so you won’t ruin anything! Always wear gloves. And just rinse it the best you can before adding any shampoo. Shampoo is what makes the color spread all over the tub and stain it. Even if you do stain the tub, most porcelain tubs it will wear off. Great product! I tried the rose gold color for lightened hair first and it didn't do much on my dark blond hair, so I figured I'd try this out. First I put it on wet hair and left it on for five minutes and that added subtle color, but not much. Next, I tried it on dry hair and left it in for about ten minutes and that made my hair very rose gold. It worked very well and I like how easy it is to control how intense the color is. This product works amazing and I wish I could post pictures on here. The trick is- completely ignore the directions and treat it like an actual hair dye. Wear gloves, protect your bathroom, use on dry hair, section section section and fully saturate every strand. Leave on for 45 minutes like regular dye, then rinse with cool water. Then condition and rinse again. It's a cleansing conditioner, which means it's not a deep conditioner so you'll still need to follow up with your regular conditioner if you have dry hair. I had pre-color treated hair. I had bleached hair, that was dyed pink, with then brown put over top. My hair was dark brown almost black on top, medium brown in the middle, and light brown ends. I only applied the dye on my medium to light brown areas and ended up with a ombre dark brown root to beautifully rich and vivid purple. My hair is also ultra thick and wavy and I still have half a bottle left to use to maintain my color! I recommend 8 sections in pony tails for long thick hair, then letting down one by one and only taking half centimeter pieces at a time and saturating and combing through for the most even and vivid results.Lindsey
I have medium to dark brown hair. figured I would give this a try as box dye doenst take to my hair and salon color either a doenst last for me or is just too over priced for me to keep up on. I tried this as the instructions say with damp hair and it did nothing. So I tried it two different times now again with dry hair, once for 30 and once for 45, and with much much better results. The color does fade over time but overall it works great. It doesn't dry ur hair out and the clenditioner combo really does clean ur hair. 🙂kat91cs

Ive used this brand of hair dye since the very first time I dyed my hair at age 15 and its always been my favorite. Ive tried other brands through out the years but nothing looks as intense or lasts as long as this brand does. The last year or so ive been using the power violets collection and they're so beautiful! I love how intense the color comes out and it doesnt strip my hair at all. Along with the products to dye your hair they also include a shampoo and conditioner which make my hair so super soft and shiny! I wish I could buy it in full size bottles but I dont think they make it. These dyes do have a strong scent you need to use them in well ventilated spaces. I usually have a fan going to help with air circulation. After using this dye I don't experience any bleeding of color on my skin or clothes. The color lasts for months on me before it really starts to fade. For reference I wash my hair once or twice a week. (But I shower more then that lol) I dye my hair around every 3-4 months. The brand of hair color I usually use was out of the color I wanted, so I decided to try Revlon ColorSilk in burgandy. I opened the boxes and was happy to see the included gloves were strong and good quality. I put them on and mixed up the color solutions. The first thing I noticed was there was no strong, bad odor like with alot of hair dyes I've tried. The color was easy to apply, and went on evenly. I have hair down to my waist, so I bought three boxes, but to my surprise I only needed to use two of them. Once it was time to rinse, it rinsed out easier than any other brand I've tried. I honestly couldn't believe the water ran clear as soon as it did. The included conditioner deep conditioned my hair, leaving it even softer than it was before I colored it. Once dry, it's the exact shade I wass hoping for, and all my gray hair is gone. It has lasted 3 shampoos, so far, without fading. I plan on switching to ColorSilk from now on.neha.d
I strayed from my usual brand of box dye because I was short on money so I decided to give this one a go and now, seven days and ONE wash later, I wish I hadn't. My hair was beginning to look dull/ashy and I wanted to cover a few new grey hairs. I always stick to a warm-toned dark chocolate brown which is my natural hair color. My hair normally has no problem taking on and retaining color so the fact that this "dark chocolate brown" has turned my hair into a light brown after one wash is infuriating. It's like the dark dye didn't penetrate the hair at all after the developer did its thing so now after one wash (and I used very little shampoo for color treated hair by Nexxus) it's not only pulls more of a medium light-ish golden brown but it also pulls red (see photo – it should be dark dark, not this light). The only good thing about this box kit was the after color conditioner. It smells so good (of mango) and it made my hair so soft. What a shame the rest is such a huge disappointment.
I have been using this for years because it's the only true ash that does not turn green or muddy. I had dyed my hair black for years and after returning back to my natural light brown I am plagued by brassy orange/red tones due to the deposits left by the black dye. I have tried many at home dye kits to remove this warmth and most turn an awful green or muddy colour but this one is a clear and true ash. It does have some lift to it, so if your hair is slightly darker it will lighten it. It is a pretty thin, loose gel type consistency which I am happy with because I find thick cremes make it difficult to evenly coat my hair – thinner is easier to work through for me. The only complaint is the enclosed conditioner sachet is only 11.8mls which is tiny really but it's ok I as I use an intense colour protecting masque after rinsing so it's not a deal breaker. Just have some intensive treatment on hand if you have longer hair.alana.h

This is the FIRST (and really ONLY)hair color that I've used that isn't entirely gone and faded in a couple weeks. The irony is that when it's time to move onto a different color or I want to change it up, I have no issues getting it out! It was super adorable pretty sure I paid under $7 for this tiny bottle. Yes the bottle may look tiny but it did not disappoint! It was soo pigmented better than the maniac crap that washes out almost immediately! This has had such a beautiful vibrant pink color for over a month with multiple washes! Only thing it does stain when applying!!! So make sure to cover your walls and sinks. Other than that the gel like substance is amazing!kelly.m
