Imagine one guitar that is perfect for blues or rock and roll, has the ultimate clean sound, is great for jazz and has a great acoustic sound without feedback. sounds like an expensive dream, but chances are that you already own this guitar. it's your beloved strat. and all that it has been waiting for to unleash this hidden potential is the vibraton bridge pickup, the x-bridge from l.r. baggs.when lr baggs decided to apply their fifteen years of transducer design experience to amplifying the electric guitar, they were faced with the task of first choosing a guitar and then a bridge. the strat was a pretty obvious choice. but when they interviewed guitar makers about bridges, they found that there was no existing bridge that had the qualities that they were looking for. so they designed their own. by starting with a clean slate, lr baggs did not have to shoehorn their pickups into an off-the-shelf bridge. they could then design the bridge and pickups as an integrated system without compromise. the product of their research, the x-bridge is beautiful, responsive and dynamic, and has a jaw-dropping sound that redefines what a strat can do.the x-bridge is a tremolo bridge pickup that is a drop-in replacement for the american standard strat bridge. post spacing is 2.2 inch center to center. the passive stereo kit provides for independent outputs for the magnetic and x-bridge pickups via the "tip" and "ring" contacts of a stereo jack. a volume pot for the passive x-bridge takes the place of a middle tone control. the tone functions are summed onto the other tone pot. the wiring is designed for a typical 3-knob strat. there is no physical modification required to the guitar body or pickguard.

This guy is worth it. I have been wanting to bring an acoustic sound to my band for awhile now. I believe transporting and stopping a show to switch to an acoustic guitar would be tacky and cumbersome, difficult and pretentious. Not any more. This is all I really need. I liked the way the LR Baggs that came with my Breedlove sounded, so this led me to check out the X-bridge and take a chance. Glad I did. The trickiest part of installing this for me was wiring and soldering, I made a mistake the first time around, because I figured my five-way switch was different from their diagram. Stupid me, the diagram was exactly right. Do it exactly like the diagram shows and you'll be fine. Nice. Looks and feels high quality. I was replacing the bridge anyway, so this was only slightly more than I would have spent on a normal bridge.
This is a great addition to Strats and other guitars with similar trem fittings. Good price, sounds great. I fitted mine to a Status Graphite guitar and had to do a bit of filing but it was not difficult. Easy to wire up and I prefer that it's all passive. Probably easier on a Strat It's best if used with some kind of TRS to Y-cable and going into some kind of buffer (with 1Meg input impedance) quite early on. (Any Boss type pedal would do even if not turned on. EQ or reverb pedal would be a good choice.) If not then definitely use a different channel/amp than the magnetic side. I have mine going into a Trace Acoustic amp and it's wonderful. Alternatively, straight in to the PA (hi-Z input or via buffer/DI is also great. The flexibility of sounds is lovely. When I play other guitars I miss it. It's likely I will put another on one if my Strats.stevens6586
Great Product. As an electric bridge, its fine. I would say no better, no worse than the American Standard bridge. As an acoustic bridge, it sounds very good. If you are used to piezo bridges on an acoustic guitar, you will be very happy with the acoustic sounds from this bridge. If you have a high end acoustic pickup system with a mic, body sensors, and piezo; you may be a little disappointed. At first I was nervous to purchase this product but now that its installed I am very happy. I planned on added in the Ctrl-x from the beginning, but tried it without while I was waiting on the ctrl-x bridge. it sounded ok, but was clipping a little if you really dug into it. It sounded better going into a ParaDI then into an amp. Ctrl-x makes the system so much more flexible and removes the need to go into the ParaDI.DannyD

I use this pickup in an Ovation AL Demiola guitar. I've always had problems with the pickup that was original to the guitar. The Black stack soundhole pickup solved all my problems and it doesn't require batteries.I actually kept the same settings on my fishman preamp pedal. the sound quality of the pickup blows away the original equipment Ovation pickup. when The Ibanez system became faulty on my AEB 8E Electroacoustic 4 string Bass – due to piezo pickup intermittent fault I decided to replace the whole system. The Lindo Package offered a good affordable option from a reputable UK based Guitar supplier. Lindo provided the dimensions I needed to check if their parts would fit. I had to make some small changes to the size / shape of the apertures in the body of the instrument to accommodate the Lindo parts as they were slightly different shapes from the original equipment. Once the apertures were the correct size the Lindo parts were fitted tot he guitar quickly and easily with plug and sockets avoiding the need for any soldering. Fitting this kit was well worthwhile – I played the instrument seriously – through an Amp while accompanying a guitarist – for the first time last night and the sound was great – better than the Ibanez had sounded before the fault had become apparent. A good range of adjustment to the tones and presence with the pre amp allows a really good range of timbres to be developed from the final amp. Volume from each of the strings is well balanced so none are dominant and the bass has become a more responsive and relaxing instrument to play.gordon6352

the factory installed UST in a grand auditorium never sounded good enough, even though a quality mixer and pa. I tried baggs m1 passive which did not produce a crisp sound and too much body for my tastes. The fender mesquite is clear, produces the same sound as my unplugged guitar. It takes multi effect pedal superbly as well as my overdrive. When the od pedal is at full drive, there is no feedback at all. I hear no reason to even add an eq pedal or mixer. BTW, the mesquite pairs seamlessly with the wireless jack. I am very pleased with this setup.Hidden picker

They said the MojoTone Quiet Coil NC-1 Acoustic Soundhole Pickup sounds natural. I was very surprised to find that it really sounds great. I do not detect that typical soundhole pickup "electric guitar" sound. Very feedback resistant as well. It looks good for what it is also. I like it so much that I decided on a permanent installation on my 000-15SM. Highly recomended. Would I record with it? Probably not on solo guitar, or maybe mixed with mic signal…but in a group setting, yes
Overall: I play regular acoustic gigs, and for the past 10+ years I've used an LR Baggs M1 Active. It's a great pickup. But recently I've been been playing more lead parts than usual, and I found the Baggs to be a little lacking somehow…just not as responsive and balanced as I'd like. I tried several preamp pedals to compensate, but wasn't really happy. On a whim, I decided to try the Mojotone NC-1. Holy cow! It was night and day difference. I mean a HUGE difference. Compared to the Baggs, the NC-1 just sounds bigger, more realistic, more alive and more balanced. It makes the Baggs sound like a piezo in comparison. There is so much more of the sonic spectrum covered. It's absolutely huge and rich. I'll be buying a second one shortly for my other acoustic.
I've become a big fan of the Mojo NC-1 Pickup. When used in the studio in conjunction with guitars that have a mic in front of them, it results in really a powerful combined sound. In other words, the Mojo pickup adds a dynamic quality that I can't get with only a microphone. I have installed the Mojo NC-1 in two of my acoustic guitars now — a six string and a twelve — and I'm very pleased. Installation was easy, too. The only thing you have to watch out for when playing is, sometimes your guitar pick will accidentally bump against the pickup and make a click sound on the recording, although the pickup is at a level below the string height. I guess I'm just used to strumming hard and all over the place, too. Now I have to be slightly more careful with my strum placement, but that's not really a problem. Simply having this pickup, with its great sound, is well worth my playing adjustment. I never thought I'd be happy with any sound hole pickup, but this one delivers — for the sound I'm looking for.

Despite seeing the one-star review on this item, I decided to try it. Big mistake. When plugging in the cord to power up the pickup, the light would come on when the cord was half-way in and then turn back off when the cord was fully in. So I returned it for another one, figuring I couldn't get two that were faulty, right? Wrong. Big mistake. The second unit did the exact same thing. Basically, this thing is junk in a box. I've had my Taylor 614CE Grand Auditorium with the Taylor Expression pickup in it for almost 14 years now and never was pleased with the EQ options with the pickup. Solo/acoustic, it was fine because it had a nice "warmth" about it and made my sound more "full," but performing with my band and/or other musicians, it would "muddy" up the sound and would never "cut through" like I wanted it to. I tried various pedals and other EQ'ing options, but nothing every worked to get the sound like I wanted it to. Another problem I had was it had ZERO percussive capabilities for my looping shows. A fellow musician recommended the Fishman Matrix Infinity, and after weeks of researching various pickups, I decided to go with it and can't be more happier! I can get a "kick drum" sound out of my acoustic now, if needed, and the blending option allows me to get various effects/sounds I never had an option to get out of my old system. I would HIGHLY recommend this pickup for any guitar!

I liked the fun of doing the installation myself. Liked the ability to place the controls where I decided on the guitar. I liked that the components were small and easy to fit into the space available inside the guitar. KIt came with an installation instruction that guided me through the installation just fine. No operators manual was provided. I downloaded from Roland the GK-3 (non-kit version) operators manual which should be applicable except for physical appearance. Regular GK-3 comes with a 1 mm gage to help set gap between each pickup and its corresponding string. The Kit did not provide this gage – a minor point. Pickups adjust to match a range of curvatures on the guitar bridge. A 14" radius was the largest. I had a couple of questions as I worked through the installation, and Roland Support provided answers on the phone. So far, so good. Everything seems to work ok. I have played this through a Roland GR-33 synth board for a total of about 1 hour (just finished the installation). What fun! For my project (installed into a Steinberger Synapse Transcale baritone guitar) this was the best value for my money. My Steinberger has a one-piece aluminum bridge, string height is not adjustable except as a group. For different guitars, with different bridge arrangements, you might find other brands of kits might work better for you. The readily available support from Roland was a bonus I had not expected – a big plus.
The external GK pickup looks like a Borg implant, it doesn't exactly complement the appearance of most guitars. This kit puts all of the electronics inside your axe, with just 3 switches on your pick guard. Professional installation is highly recommended. It's an excellent product, but I gave it 4 stars because it should come in white as well as black.
I bought this kit a little while back after trying unsuccessfully to mount an old external GK2 internally (don't ask). The kit was very easy to install, very little space needed internally and the set up was a breeze. I feel it is a little pricey but as kits go it is well put together and well documents. I've had it install for a year or so now. It works flawlessly. If you are tired of the external GK mounted on you guitar this is the way to go!JDX

Einbau problemlos; musste aber 2,5 mm Klinkenstecker zum Anschluss einen Preamp anderwärtig besorgen, da ein solcher unverständlicher Weise im Shop nicht angeboten wird. Zum Produkt: Habe den Tonabnehmer an einen vorhanden gewesenen Preamp von Nautilus angeschlossen. Das Ergebnis ist überraschend gut. Sehr ausgewogener Sound ohne Betonung einzelner Saiten. Dazu noch Ausgangspegel (zuminderst mit dem beschriebenen Preamp) ohne Ende. Und das noch dazu ohne Rauschen! Das einzige was wirklich stört, ist der happige Preis. Fairerweise muss ich dazu sagen, dass ich nicht weiß, wie billige Piezos klingen.

I have had this guitar for about a month now. From the first day, I have absolutely loved this guitar. The included Seymour Duncan pick ups sounds amazing and the push/pull function gives you a nice range of voices. Everything about the build of this guitar feels amazing. The neck and the frets are smooth and well cared for, the quality of the hardware is top shelf. If you want a Les Paul, just forget about Gibson. This is what you want, of course there are many versions of this guitar, Any one of the EC-1000's are great, but the finish on this one is pretty outstanding in person.Logan C
Amazing, right out of the box! Gorgeous maple top and headstock design along with the flag inlays and black/chrome hardware. But how it handles…wow! The 'U' shape neck is just like my '72 Strat so the LTD felt familiar right away. (The U neck is chunky and may not be right for everyone) It's really well balanced sitting down or standing with a strap. The action is spot on and access to the higher frets not a problem. The bridge is comfortable on the right hand. And the specific instrument that I ordered is HEAVY. It feels like I'm playing a full guitar, not just a slice of a guitar! And the sound… THE SOUND!! The EMG 81 is incredible! It's actually making me play more accurately and deliberately because it will not allow sloppy playing. Play sloppy on the 81 or 86(neck pickup) and there's NO hiding it. Took a little while to get used to the high output of the EMGs but well worth it. I could not be happier with this guitar and the price is incredible.
I got the natural black color. Its a really nice looking guitar. With a different name on the head stock it would cost thousands. Sounds great, you can play any type music on it. Perfect out of the box . No setup at all needed to be done. I saved almost 200.00 with a blemish model model that was basically perfect.Ltd

These pickups are awesome. I installed them in a chapman standard ML2. They look simply fantastic. This is a light guitar to begin with and these took off almost 2 more lbs, making this the lightest most comfortable guitar to play that I own. I installed them so that coils can be split, but I almost never do that, I just play them in full humbucker mode. Still, it's a nice option for more tonality. I did not replace the pots with 250k pots (guitar has 500k pots) and I think they still sound great. The literature that they come with says that they are optimized for 250k pots, I will probably try them like that eventually, but for now I'm really happy with how they sound. They are incredibly noise free, except for the noises that you want to make. They sound sick through all my amps, tube and solid state. They play friendly with all my effects pedals. Sound great clean or dirty. This is the second pair of Lace pickups that I have, and I think Lace is my new brand. I'm in the process of building a new guitar from scratch right now, and I'll bet that Lace pups will end up in that too.MCL
I was excited to receive these pickups. I was playing EMG 81/85s for 14 years but there was always a lack of warmth in those. I have since switched all my guitars to Duncan Blackouts which are amazing. I had one 9v battery start to leak in a guitar (thanks duracell!) so I wanted to try something that would supposedly be similar. Wired as recommended, brand new Bourns 250k tapping pots (250k pots recommended). Their wiring diagram on the site is a 50% wiring diagram and LACE references another 3rd party site for diagrams which show (coil tapping) wiring different from theirs. I had to re-write the recommended 3rd party diagram with theirs to get it to work properly (come on guys…..) These pickups are lacking that overdrive push/output level. I have been playing both side-by-side over the past few days through the same 3 amps and same exact Schecter Custom XXX guitars. They just don't have that compressed "UMPH" that the blackouts have. They have a more MEDIUM output sound when compared to the blackouts. I am returning them unfortunately… They would probably be good if you are coming from vintage humbuckers and want a little more balls but if you are looking for the "tightness" and "compression" of actives you won't get it…Toner
I took a huuuuuuge chance on these pickups. Before I bought them I had never even seen these anywhere other than word of mouth. As far as features go, they are just humbuckers. Theres not really a lot else to say about that. However, They sound great. They are really sturdy as I've done small tours and beat the hell out of these pickups. As far as price goes, I would pick these over any EMG or Seymour anyday and dish out a few extra bucks. I put a pair of these in my Schecter Tempest Blackjack edition and couldnt be happier. They tend to push the low end a bit, but you can just roll that off on the amps EQ. The thing that really excites me about these things is the fact that the notes cut through even if your on your high gain setting or clean setting. They clean up realllly well and have a really good, thick, creamy tone. All in all, Im really happy about this purchase and will be swapping out my other guitars with lace products.

These things work really well. I wanted single coil for the clean sound. But hum was a potential concern. Also whether slapping on the strings would come through the amp. No worries.
