I ordered this in October as a Christmas gift for my son. When it arrived I opened the box to make sure everything was there but did not put it together at the time being I needed to hide it so it was left in the box for easy hiding. We assembled the bike the week of Christmas and when we went to pull the cord to start it wouldn't go back into the assembly. We had to take the entire assembly off and take it apart in order to wind the string back up. After putting the box back on we tried again and same thing happened. The parts inside this assembly are poorly designed and cheap. We were able to finally get the bike started and opened a support ticket with the manufacturer. I received a message from the manufacturer that the parts only have a 30 day warranty and that we would have to purchase a new pull start assembly for an additional $25. This is absolute crap. If you are going to sell crappy parts at least make it known that there is only a 30 day warranty. This is not disclosed anywhere on the packaging or the manuals. All it says is "If service is needed do not send back to store. Contact Manufacturer". So now my son will have to wait to use his gift until we can get this part replaced. Should have spent a little more and bought a name brand that stands behind their parts and not some cheap piece of crap from China.Julie

Great Bike. Easy to upgrade / modify to accommodate for older and heavier rider. Videos step by step on you tube. My bike has an upgraded 1800 watt brushless motor. Well i have 2 now and have had them all my life, i modify them top to bottom. Adding new motor to redoing the fairings. Ive had the mx500 as a kid. Im now 21 years old, and still ride obviously with the modification to help with range and speed. The only 2 things i would like to point out is that after awhile the sprocket may go due to overtorque from the motor for you new riders. It can be fixed by not hardlaunching the bike. The second is that i have a mx650 from 2006 (purple) and one from (2016). The 2006 looks like is was built with a lot more quality, the welds are more discrete and theres even color on the battery covers compared to a bit sloppyer welds on the newer razor. They are still built to last and are fun to mod and ride.TheTruthBringer
It looks so different when you have it in front of you. It's way too small! Apparently is for young people above 16 years old, but no, it's for a 10 years-old small size kid. One more thing that I didn't like is that it is too noisy. It has grinding and cracking noises coming from the rear wheel. There is nothing in the manual that prepares us for that noise, maybe some little note in the troubleshooting page that advises lubricating the chain, but the problem is not the chain, it's what is inside the wheel, so I put some grease in the axles and the bearings and the grinding sounds, diminished. Unfortunately, I couldn't fix the cracking sound. Think twice before buying this mini bike if you want it for a tall kid or for yourself. Buy it only if you have a large yard or live out the city, because it's illegal to ride it on the streets.JESUS

The 3rd time my son rode his new bike the chain fell off. This is the 4th bike I have owned like this for my boys. Every one the chain falls off a few days after purchasing. My son is interested in motocross and this is a great electric bike for him to ride around the neighborhood and feel like he's on a motorcycle or dirt bike. I looked into getting him a gas powered dirt bike but they're too loud for neighborhood use. This bike is perfect because it quiet and easy to ride. Nice little bike for the moneyschoneric
This bike arrived bolted to a metal frame inside a big box, had to install the front wheel and the handlebars and attach the battery leads. After double checking the oil level, I added about a half gallon of premium fuel, set the choke, hit the starter button, and it fired right up! Even though this is a kid's size dirt bike, I got it for my wife and she loves riding it. A lot of features to like; electric start, automatic transmission, front and rear hydraulic disc brakes, adjustable rear shock, and the 70cc engine even pulls me just fine at 215 pounds. Engine has a nice healthy sound, reminds me of my old Honda SL70 I had as a teenager. Overall a really good value for the money.my69ssnova
