My best friend has always used this since I can remember. It does a great job, lasts a long time and the coverage is great! Since Covid19 stopped me from using makeup like I use to— I thought I would just use some powder type foundations. I figured this would work well since my friend has used it for what seems like forever a day and its always served her well. Well– not for me. The coverage with this is great. But thats where it ends. It feels sort of heavy and cake-y on my face. It also breaks my face out something awful the next day!! Like….WTH?!!! That really upsets me because I had my acne and hyperpigmentation under control each time I try to use this and…BAM!!!….it happens every time!!! I would hate to have to toss this….but it looks like I will have to, because it breaks me out every time. I wish that it wouldn't do my skin like that, but it does. I'm not sure how my BF is able to use this every time without my issues… my skin must just be sensitive to some of the ingredients. If your skin isn't sensitive, you will probably love this. I keep coming back to this foundation. I apply with a kabuki brush to get just the right coverage. Coverage is terrible with the included sponge, but can work for touch ups. If you want to hide redness or uneven skintones, this does the job. As with any powder or matte finish makeup, you have to be careful around fine lines and wrinkles. Too much application, and it will make them stand out. I use a primer and setting spray, and this lasts most of the day with possibly a touch up here and there if I'm having a more active day. My skin is combination, my nose especially can get oily. Blotting every once in awhile helps. No makeup can stop your skin from getting oily as the sebum is produced under your skin then works it way out. This does however prevent shine for some time, and you get no shine if you blot. If you want pore coverage, this works. however similar to lines and wrinkles, apply lightly first if you have large pores. That way the makeup doesn't settle into them making it look worse.Chris
I bought this tonight. Good thing I couldn’t sleep. Courtney had the BEST presentation of MAC cosmetics I have ever witnessed. I have my share of QVC Purchases and usually SK presents MAC but tonight there was time for the makeup artists to actually speak instead of Shawn interrupting as she does and putting makeup over her makeup. Even the makeup artists complimented Courtney was a breath of fresh air to present their cosmetics. Thank you Courtney. You helped me truly understand MY undertones finally I think I got it right and ordered for the 3rd time foundation that will be flawless. QVC if anyone is reading this Take Note..look at Courtney she is beautiful and loves makeup and is flawless in her own skin. She represents MAC best in my opinion. I can't believe how amazing this product is. I LOVE how it makes my skin look and how fast and easy it is to apply. It stays on all day and I live in Florida, so it's always hot and humid. I have never used the powder foundations because it always made me look so cakey and patchy. This foundation is amazing stays in place all day and it looks so natural, just beautiful. Hello, I have been using the Duel Finish powder for over 40 years now. The color I’m using now is Buff ll Cool. I simply love this product! Duel Finish does what it says! You can simply where it just as a light touch up for a casual day or if your wanting something more dramatic use it as a foundation with the soft white sponge that comes with it. Then it wears all day long. My skin/face never looked good and felt so soft and as it did before. I love how it doesn’t cake or crease into my fine lines too. I’ve been using Dual Finish in Matte Clair (N) for over thirty years in this same color. It’s very fine, silky light, it evens out my skin tone with no breakouts. A great Medium to start with if you’re not sure. It comes with a soft pad and a sponge. At my age now, I only use the pad for the loose powder finish. I tried another baked powder by another brand and I loved the color but the darker pigments in it made my dark spots pronounced. This just blends them out. I love Lancôme DF, it’s a classic. I have good skin I keep it clean and moisturized with Lancôme Tonique Douceur alcohol-free it is a great hydrator. Use whatever moisturize lotion on top of that, then add Dual Finish. Then makeup. I always remove my makeup at night I use Lancome Bi-Facial to remove mascara (I use Idole mascara by Lancome), and Bi-Facial FACE is fantastic for cleansing the face w/o drying it out. I am 65 female, naturally greying dark brunette, green eyes. I also use Lancome Kohl eyeliner in Moss. I don’t wear makeup every day but I moisturize every day. Recommend Lancôme Dual Finish face powder for any adult age young to old.

I am in my late 60s with normal to dry skin and let me tell you, I'm already in love with this L'Oréal Infallible Freshwear powder foundation! A lot of the reviews I've read have come from younger folks with oiler skin who rave about how awesome it is for oily, textured skin. Well, I'm here to tell you that my skin is mature, on the drier side, with dark spots, texture and wrinkles, and this stuff is magic IF you take the time to BUFF IT IN!! Thats the big key here. I just received my package and couldn't wait to try it out, so without prepping my skin like I usually do before applying foundation (although I still had whatever leftover skincare on my face from last night, which basically after 12 hours was gone), took a full, dense, soft powder foundation brush (Elf ultimate blending brush for example) and started working that baby into my skin. OMG the formula was so creamy I just kept blending and blending, and my pores started to disappear, my dark spots began to be less noticeable, and my skin had a smooth, creamy, natural appearance like no other powder foundation I've ever tried (that includes my high end products). Imagine with prepped skin how this could be! The hype is very real with this, I had to check it out for myself because I have dry, older skin, and sometimes powder foundations can make my skin look drier and too matte. Not this stuff, but the key for me was to buff buff buff it into my pores, which produced the creamiest, loveliest, soft matte glow that totally smoothed out my pores, lines, and nicely covered my dark spots. I bought this on an absolute whim because I needed a portable foundation that I could apply with no extra tools. Firstly, applying with the sponge is the worst idea I've ever heard of. The powder was patchy, streaky and lasted about 30 minutes and eventually rubbed off completely during the day when I got oily. For my second try, I used a brush and the difference was night and day! The color matched better, covered the spots I wanted covered and didn't look cakey or powdery. My oils did break through but even late in the day, I don't look like a greasy monster. I still look fresh and nothing has rubbed off. This did cling to concealer under my eyes so I won't be using it that way again. I'm highly impressed and happy that the second try justified the price tag of this powder!! This is nowhere close to full coverage, I'd say a medium at best unless you want to apply 47 layers.
Ok, serious foundation talk right NOW. I was struggling so much with a powder foundation from another big brand that I decided to get me a new one instead of insisting on it. That's how I met the Infallible Powder Foundation and it was love from the first… application. I have considerably large pores, my skin is pretty oily and there are a few wrinkles here and there (if you're almost 40, you know what I mean). I decided to test it with not a single drop of primer on my face so it wouldn't interfere on pore appearance and shine. I was flabbergasted! I used the sponge that comes with the foundation (wanted to see how it'd look on the go) and suddenly I had no visible pores. The coverage was medium to full, totally buildable and not even close to cakey. It looked like my mirror had filters. Acne pigmentation? Gone. Redness? Gone. Dark circles? Pretty much gone, but I confess I like it better with a tiny bit of concealer to help. This is BY FAR the best powder foundation I've ever used, no joke. And to think it only cost me $12, it's definitely a holy grail for me. I must mention that even though it last 12h on my face, mainly my fault for touching it all the time, it does last for good 6-8h with a setting spray, which absolutely amazing for my skin. Five years ago, I walked into a store telling staff I needed a foundation that would make me look polished, but not cover my freckles, and that was suitable for very sensitive, eczema-prone skin; I had had problems with foundation beforehand and tried many different brands and formulas. I was recommended the matte powder foundation by BareMinerals. It makes skin look like skin and is buildable in problem areas if needed. Others assume I do not wear foundation at all and just have incredible skin, so conversations on this topic have led several enthusiasts to this product. I have always only heard great feedback afterwards. It's also so easy to use with any brush of your preference, though I personally like small kabukis most. Also, the container can be opened at the end of its life cycle to fully get out all remaining product. The amount lasts for months, and application still looks marvelous in the evening. I will NEVER stray from this powder. I prefer this formula to the original because the latter contains bismuth oxychloride, which can irritate super sensitive skin. Seems silly writing a review for this product. It's been around forever and has a cult following already! It is truly the best foundation ever. Great for oily skin. Love that it has SPF. Looks natural but yet covers nicely with buildable coverage and the only foundation I have a true perfect color match! I only hope bareminerals never changes the formula or colors like they have done on their other foundations…..big mistake. Don't fix what's not broken! I googled foundation swatches for two days and even went through Bareminerals product shade consultant. Still I ended up buying two colours (light and golden medium) because I was not sure which shade matched my skin the best. Anyway, I am so glad that Bareminerals is making yellow based powder foundations along with pink and neutrals. Many companies do not. I have added a picture comparing the two colours. 'Light' is supposedly a yellow based colour but looks slightly pinkish (neutral?) on me. Overall it is a good powder foundation. Can build up the coverage from light to full. Key to applying this is to blend it thoroughly with a flat brush. Going on with a round and round blending motion helps to achieve a natural looking finish more than stippling it around. If you want to go very heavy, dampen the powder a little and stipple it to the skin. I have combination skin heavy on the oily side and this managed to keep it non-oily for several hours. Although my primer and setting spray must help with that. too. Container has a slide open and close mechanism where you can slide the opening to allow the powder to fall when you want and then close it tightly, so powder will not go everywhere while on the go. My best friend has always used this since I can remember. It does a great job, lasts a long time and the coverage is great! Since Covid19 stopped me from using makeup like I use to— I thought I would just use some powder type foundations. I figured this would work well since my friend has used it for what seems like forever a day and its always served her well. Well– not for me. The coverage with this is great. But thats where it ends. It feels sort of heavy and cake-y on my face. It also breaks my face out something awful the next day!! Like….WTH?!!! That really upsets me because I had my acne and hyperpigmentation under control each time I try to use this and…BAM!!!….it happens every time!!! I would hate to have to toss this….but it looks like I will have to, because it breaks me out every time. I wish that it wouldn't do my skin like that, but it does. I'm not sure how my BF is able to use this every time without my issues… my skin must just be sensitive to some of the ingredients. If your skin isn't sensitive, you will probably love this. However— if you are acne prone OR have sensitive skin, proceed with caution….or you will be dealing with break outs and post acne hyperpigmentation afterwards🙄😤verlinda .s
I keep coming back to this foundation. I apply with a kabuki brush to get just the right coverage. Coverage is terrible with the included sponge, but can work for touch ups. If you want to hide redness or uneven skintones, this does the job. As with any powder or matte finish makeup, you have to be careful around fine lines and wrinkles. Too much application, and it will make them stand out. I use a primer and setting spray, and this lasts most of the day with possibly a touch up here and there if I'm having a more active day. My skin is combination, my nose especially can get oily. Blotting every once in awhile helps. No makeup can stop your skin from getting oily as the sebum is produced under your skin then works it way out. This does however prevent shine for some time, and you get no shine if you blot. If you want pore coverage, this works. however similar to lines and wrinkles, apply lightly first if you have large pores. That way the makeup doesn't settle into them making it look worse.Chris
I bought this tonight. Good thing I couldn’t sleep. Courtney had the BEST presentation of MAC cosmetics I have ever witnessed. I have my share of QVC Purchases and usually SK presents MAC but tonight there was time for the makeup artists to actually speak instead of Shawn interrupting as she does and putting makeup over her makeup. Even the makeup artists complimented Courtney was a breath of fresh air to present their cosmetics. Thank you Courtney. You helped me truly understand MY undertones finally I think I got it right and ordered for the 3rd time foundation that will be flawless. QVC if anyone is reading this Take Note..look at Courtney she is beautiful and loves makeup and is flawless in her own skin. She represents MAC best in my opinion. Love MAC and very happy I watched the show tonight. I ordered the shadows and another lip pencil too from Courtney’s recommendation. I never knew those colors went together. I keep coming back to this foundation. I apply with a kabuki brush to get just the right coverage. Coverage is terrible with the included sponge, but can work for touch ups. If you want to hide redness or uneven skintones, this does the job. As with any powder or matte finish makeup, you have to be careful around fine lines and wrinkles. Too much application, and it will make them stand out. I use a primer and setting spray, and this lasts most of the day with possibly a touch up here and there if I'm having a more active day. My skin is combination, my nose especially can get oily. Blotting every once in awhile helps. No makeup can stop your skin from getting oily as the sebum is produced under your skin then works it way out. This does however prevent shine for some time, and you get no shine if you blot. I have my share of QVC Purchases and usually SK presents MAC but tonight there was time for the makeup artists to actually speak instead of Shawn interrupting as she does and putting makeup over her makeup. My best friend has always used this since I can remember. It does a great job, lasts a long time and the coverage is great! Since Covid19 stopped me from using makeup like I use to— I thought I would just use some powder type foundations. I figured this would work well since my friend has used it for what seems like forever a day and its always served her well. Well– not for me. The coverage with this is great. But thats where it ends. It feels sort of heavy and cake-y on my face. It also breaks my face out something awful the next day!! Like….WTH?!!! I have used Glo Skin Beauty Pressed Base for over ten years, and I LOVE it! I have large pores, and some acne scarring. This pressed base makes my skin look so much better than it is. It can be applied lightly for less coverage or heavier for more complete coverage, as well as somewhere in between. There are many colors to choose from to insure a perfect color match. I get several months use out of one compact and the base never cracks or falls apart. For a short time, I tried another brand of pressed base, but returned to Glo Skin Beauty Pressed Base right away! I don't plan on ever switching again!
I love this as a foundation. It is definitely sheer to full coverage, satin/semi matte- just makes your skin appear beautiful. Unfortunately for me, it makes me break out. It kills me, because the stuff is just absolutely perfect. I wish I could use it! I think I am probably the exception, rather than the rule, because bare minerals and Jane Iredale pressed base also make me break out. Would still recommend it in a heartbeat- hopefully your skin doesn’t react to it as mine does.
I love this pressed powder base and have used it for years. Because I have combination skin, I tend to get oily on the chin during the So. CA. Summer months, so I cannot wear all of the liquid foundations used so far: Chanel, Tom Ford, etc., and use this as my go-to foundation. It gives good coverage and a natural glo that enhances your skin. I would not recommend it for those with acne or birth marks because I don’t believe that it would give the coverage needed, but for everyone else this is a gem and it stays on well and does not irritate my skin. Even in my 70’s, I still get compliments on my skin. This product was originally recommend by my dermatologist’s office and it comes in so many shades that I can’t imagine someone not being able to find the perfect match for their skin! I am not a sun worshiper; have med. light skin, and use the Golden Dark shade (don’t let the “dark” scare you); it merely gives a soft warmth to the skin.)Ginger

I've been using Bare Minerals for about 6 years. I've found over time that It only works well with the Bare Minerals Primer and the Urban Decay All Nighter Primer. Both pretty costly but I think the UD one is more bang for your buck. I notice that my acne heals up when I don't wear it for extended periods, (when I've had to quarantine is when I bag to notice). Before then, I just thought it was my skin. I've tried countless products but didn't realize it was the makeup I was using to cover up that acne. Asides for that, this stuff does not last throughout the day, I almost always end up touching it up on my lunch break. And I get splotchy oily spots on my nose causing more breakouts. It also doesn't last long, not only day to day but the life of the product is short. I go through one of these in a few months. That means I'm spending about $160 a year on foundation.. a friend of mine said her foundation is a little expensive, ($42, so about the same price) but lasts her a whole year. I would MUCH RATHER spend $42 for a whole year and not deal with excessive breakouts, splotchy coverage, and short-lasting foundation. All in all, I've done the research and I am telling you don't waste $100s of dollars on this product, or any of the Bare Minerals foundations for that matter, because I've literally tried all them and I'm still giving it a 1/5.Maddie
I tried this for the first time in 2018 in the matte formula after having it recommended to me by a Sephora employee. Mind you, this was before I managed to get my skin mostly clear and fade my acne scars, so I was very desperate for a foundation I could build up for coverage while trying to keep my skin looking as natural as possible, all while hoping and praying this one wouldn't break out my very acne-prone lupus face any worse than it already was. Here's what the issue was that made me hate it the first time – you know that little face-scanner thing they have at Sephora that's supposed to identify your perfect foundation shade? Well, I suspect what probably happened was the employee matched my foundation to my acne scars/hyperpigmentation, which is obviously NOT ideal, so after wearing my first suggested shade (Fairly Medium 05) a few times and having a friend comment on how orange my face looked in comparison to my neck, I just completely gave up on this foundation. FLASH FORWARD – I've mostly cleared up my face due to a careful skincare regimen, and the texture has improved drastically. Still, because of my lupus, I would regularly find myself super frustrated with how red and blotchy my face looked. I do love the Dr. Jart's Tiger Grass corrective treatment, but if I wore it every day for a few days in a row, it'd irritate the dry parts of my combination skin and I'd peel. This foundation? LOVE IT. Got myself shade-tested again and apparently I'm the LIGHTEST shade – big difference between shade 01 and 05. Looks super natural and I love the way it can be built-up from no-makeup makeup to full-face for date nights. So seamless and doesn't look powdery or cakey at all. Best part – unlike basically every other foundation I've ever tried, IT DOESN'T MAKE ME BREAK OUT OR IRRITATE MY LUPUS RASH!! This was not it for me. I was initially hesitant to buy it because I’m not a loose powder kind of person – I’m scared I’ll easily have a powder explosion and didn’t want to bother with that. But let’s face it, the reviews here are soo good that I had to try it for the hype. First off, I tried this powder a decent number of times with various buffing brushes. The problem is the whole application process just isn’t worth the results imo. If I need coverage, I would have to swirl tap and buff a number of times to get the desired effect, because if I use too much at once, it looks powdery. Also, even at “full coverage”, this is at most the same as only one thin layer of a liquid product. So while it’s not bad, I just don’t think it’s worth it when I can easily achieve a similar and better result with other products with a much easier application process.ylrehs

Maybelline New York Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation Powder O.M.Gosh! This is such a nice powder foundation! It takes the shine away with it's smooth light/medium Matte coverage. Helps hide those pores. I used a little light concealer on the red spots, broken veins on my face then finished off with this- what a nice natural look! I used to have this on my MUST HAVES list of my make up routine back when I just started wearing makeup. I would still have it on my list if my fine lines and wrinkles weren't creeping up on me. Definitely gives you the value and quality you paid for and more. It's super affordable and makes your skin super soft and blurrednlook for that photo finished look. I noticed of course wearing primer and moisturizer under made this product look much better once finished and lasted much longer. Without the primer I needed to ouch up about lunchtime but when I did do a little touching up I noticed it gave me a cakey look. I also noticed that as I wore it thru the day that my face looked patchy and I believe this was because if the oil in my skin. I have been using this product for quite a few weeks and I noticed that every morning, when I apply it (I only apply a small amount) I keep having wheezing and breathing difficulties, coughing and tight chest. I peeled off the label to see the ingredients and it's made of Talcum Powder which is known to cause cervical cancer for example if you use it on your bikini line for a long period of time. Companies know of the dangers of using Talc and YET they still keep using it, they only care about their profits of course. Ladies, please keep away from Talc!!!!!!! This is the only makeup product I have used consistently for over ten years. I try different lipstick and eyeshadow and mascara and bronzer brands and products but this is the only foundation I will use. You can use it alone or with other products, it doesn’t look streaky unless your skin is lacking in oil. It does occasionally wear off in awkward places, like forehead nose or under eye, but you can easily blend the fading area with your fingers or a tissue to fixaubrey.d
I used this back in high school when I wanted something really quick and my skin was more on the oily side. it gave me a natural finish and light-medium covered. It did not cover up bigger breakouts but did leave the skin looking more natural. I wouldn’t use this now because my skin is more in the dryer side and it did oxidize on me a little more than I would like. However it you are someone with normal/oily skin I think this would be nice for you and not heavy on the skin at all!ashley.p
This is my favorite foundation. I don’t use anything else because this is the only one that completely covers my skin without any uneven coverage. It can be heavy but that’s what I need to cover acne scars and broken capillaries. I love it! Tip: This mineral powder can be messy so tap the brush back over the container or you’ll get it all over your clothes. #458 is my color. #456 doesn’t seem to cover as well (more transparent) even though the color is almost the same shade.faryn.m

How often do you actually get a finishing powder that doesn't look more like a highlighter without spending more than $30? Rarely. I'll tell you that. Although this was a little light for me due to my recent trip to Florida to perform my new single in Clearwater. I completely loved the finish and the matte is perfect for stage lights! This powder is absolutely amazing, I love using it set my concealer and my T zone. The powder has a very velvety smooth buttery texture and it does not look cakey at all, it's definitely full coverage. It has always been difficult finding a setting powder for neutral golden medium dark skin but the shade range is excellent, especially if you are a WOC looking for a powder foundation. This is the first and only powder is a perfect match to the center of my face, I use Y445 for the perimeters of my face. I use both shades of the powder because the center of my faces lighter and the perimeters are darker. I like using the powder a small brush or a sponge or a beauty blender to apply this. This powder definitely makes you look filtered and flawless in real life it's perfect for combination skin and it doesn't cling to dry patches and it takes shine away. Don't think twice about getting this product it's well worth it if you're in search of a new powder. I'm most impressed by the shade selection as Y445 is my perfect match and I'm generally hard to match with foundations. Velvet is a great way to describe the formula because that's exactly the feel/look of the skin when you apply it. I only use this for no makeup/make up looks as I still prefer liquid foundation when I want a full face but this powder does the job of still giving face but not having to do too much to still look put together. I've been on the hunt and have tried a few powders to use during the summer heat and this one has been the best. I've also grown tired of all the powders that have shimmer/glitter in them and just wants a basic skin like powder without all the extras and this is tried and true for a reason. Of course it won't work for everyone in the same manner but oily skin, pores, textured skin will enjoy this powder because it's the opposite of what makes us hate powders. This has been my fav foundation for years!! I have been using the duo mat powder that MUFE had before this came out. They are the same product, or very close. I have oily skin, and I swear this is the answer. I use concealer under my eyes and any breakouts, and then I use this as foundation. It covers just as much as a liquid foundation. Setting powder on top, and you have a whole day of no oily cakey mess. Seriously I have people always comment on how good my skin is but little do they know I am always covering a big cyst or scar of a previous cyst! I really don’t understand how none of these “beauty gurus” never hopped on the powder foundation train. I always have issues with liquid foundation creasing on me later in the day. This stuff will make your skin look good up close. All day. End of story. This and the Mac studio powder foundation are the best. I have tried them all (except the Patrick one size powder foundation… still need to try that lol)lynn1035
