I bought this to be able to power small AC appliances in my Lance trailer. We do mostly boondocking. We’ve got 45 gallon water tanks, a Renogy 200AH lithium battery, Renogy solar Adventurer controller, Renogy battery monitory, and 3 100 watt Renogy solar panels. We can live indefinitely off the grid with this setup – at least until the water runs out. 🙂 We enjoy hiking and mountain bike riding. This bike riding often requires us to change flat tires, or at least fill them up frequently. We simply power on our little AC powered hot dog air tank with this inverter. It’s not enough to power the Trailer’s microwave, but that’s not why I bought it. I’d have to go up to 2000 watts to power it. But for what I bought it for it handles the task flawlessly, and for the cheapest coin. I wired it to a transfer switch, along with the shore power. I can select which AC source I want to go directly to the power distribution panel of the Trailer. That way I select shore power or Inverter. Either way, they both provide AC power to all electrical outlets inside and outside the trailer while keeping the other source electrically isolated – that way I’m not providing current from the inverter to the shore power input of the trailer.Walt

I was expecting more from DeWalt but many other inverters perform better. Once the internal fuse blows, its rendered useless because its not user serviceable. Just hooked up a new Renogy 1000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger. Does not power up on shore current. Guessing that to get another, I will wait a week for it to ship. Another 1-2 weeks for them to respond and another week for shipping – so my guess is that I will be down for a month. I know this because I also bought $400 in batteries that were so poorly packed one of the two bolts were missing. It has been 7 days and counting for Customer Service to reply on that. I bought this item to support a 200w solar panel for my barn. It works great and provides lighting i need. I had previously used the solar panel for my small travel trailer which had it own inverter. The only reason i didn't give this item 5 stars is that the remote controls both outlets, therefore if you plug in two separate electrical items they both will shut off or on. I want to be able to control only one of the outlets with the remote, not both. I had to buy a separate remote controlled electrical cord in order to achieve my goal. I have this inverter installed into the back seat section of my 2019 Chevy Colorado WT with the 3.6L engine. I believe the alternator is 150amps. I mainly use it to charge batteries for my handheld electric equipment that I use as a landscaper which this is definitely overkill for that. But i wanted room to grow and didn't want to get a smaller rated unit and outgrow it. I absolutely love it. I've used an 1100 watt microwave with it and it barely flinched at the powerload. I had my inverter over 2 years and here's what I found out. It won't run to stated capacity on air conditioners, air compressors, some worm drive saws, or anything that has a big immediate load. Big cables, 2 or bigger, from the battery to the inverter if you want to push the limits. Get as close to the battery as you can for your hookup. Keep is dry, cool and clean as possible. Storage in your engine bay, while convenient, isn't the best place for it. I made set of heavy "jumper cables" to hook to the battery when I want to use the inverter on the job. (My F350 has two batteries, I disconnect one, so I can start it, or run the engine) Be alert to what draws a big load and try not to overload. It'll run microwaves or heaters but may not START a microwave when making coffee or toast. Starting motors in tools take a lot more than running the tool (saws). Use it right away. Do this, so if it fails, you can return it, and/or buy a bigger one.John
Worked on a remodel last year and was going to be without power for several days. Needed something that would keep the freezer going and the fridge. I picked up this inverter since it was a 2000 watt unit. I hooked up a deep cycle battery to it and used that to keep the freezer going throughout the night. I’d also switch the fridge over periodically to keep that cool as well. I’d have to change a new battery out every 8 hours or so in order the keep the charge above 50%. I have solar panels that I’d use to charge the other two batteries during the day light hours. This little inverter worked great!! It’s not a pure sign wave inverter, so you don’t want to hook up computers to it. I’d think you could still charge a laptop battery with it though. For the price, this is tough to beat and it literally saved my bacon.Jim

There was no review on this inverter when I bought it. However looking at the price I want to give it a try. After using it for about a month I can say it works perfect. There is small issue that after turning on the inverter it takes 2-3 seconds to reach full voltage 120v (you will see voltage number 40 80,120v I am not sure if it is normal or not. Decent quality converter that I’ve given low marks for two specific reasons. First off I tried to use a 230w Lenovo laptop power supply with the car running. When plugged in the fault like begins to blink red. This claims to be rated over 400w but didn’t come close. The second reason for low marks is because fresh out of the box there is a peculiar pungent odor of Ozone that will always come from the converter. It’s not a horrible smell but the next one I buy will be returned if it smells that way.DribbNubb

I purchased this inverter to run my fridge when the power goes out. I haven't used it for that purpose yet. I have powered many items at the same time, four box fans, two desk top computers, monitors and printers, two televisions and two lamps. The inverter worked without any problems. My next test was my washer. I hooked up the washer by itself to the separate outlet wired into the inverter. I was totally impressed with the way this inverter performed. I am seventy seven and this is the first time I have had anything to do with solar system. It's great when people make good products with good instructions.. Service is very good..had questions and they got back to me quickly. My only regret is that I had not purchased a 5000 watt unit. That will be next year.alp443

Had it for 6 months and then upacked it during a power outage. It was great to charge 5 cell phones and power our internet router for 4.5 hours without power. That only used 1/2 of my 7.5ah battery. Only minor issues are that the packaging is hard to open in the dark and the light is blocked by the battery. (recommend using the USB direct to charge your phone, don't use the 120v outlet into a charging block to usb to phone.)That guy

I picked this up, kinda on a whim. I've been living off grid in a fifth wheel while buying some land and having a place built. In order to not have to fill my trailer daily I put a 200 gal tank in my truck. Gravity feed didn't work all that well so I got a 25gpm pump. I hook this up, my truck becomes a mobile water tank. I've put two fires out this summer. The generator (7500 watt) is too much to get in and out of the truck so this little unit really saves time, plus the obvious. I purchased this unit because I needed power for a 2 day track meet. It worked great for hours the first day. That was the last time it started. I messed up by not taking it back to Lowe’s within 30 days. I work for a generator sales and service company so I was sure one of our techs could get it started. No such luck. I tried using Craftsman’s “AI” support chat, but that was a joke. I was finally directed to Generac support where they kindly gave me a list of companies to call and try to get them to repair it. Good luck finding anyone interested in that. I guess I just spent $650 for a disposable generator…
Same poor results, bought it and took it home and it started 1st pull and ran fine for 5 minutes. 1 month later took the generator camping and it would not run and still doesn't run. Unfortunately I have passed the Lowes 30 day return period. No service center in reasonable distance and cannot find parts on your website to try to repair myself. Very dissatisfied.NVBob
We purchased the 2500 Generator on August 31 on Lowes ( Philips hwy in Jacksonville). On November 15th, after little use and excellent conservation, the generator stopped working and after this episode it does not hold the energy. We reached lowes on Nov 18 in order for a refund or exchange. They gave us a central which forwarded us to an authorized one located in (sunbeans Jacksonville ), but in this establishment he does not recognize the guarantee and wants to charge us even though he has the information that the machine has a full guarantee until August /2023, and guarantee of parts until 2025. We don't stay in the store because we don't accept having so little time of use, and not having the guarantee that it was sold. For this reason we do not recommend the craftsman brand and we also do not recommend the lowes store, as we are left without assistance. I hope it will be resolved by just getting our money back.Debora
