This particular mop has some great features like the long cord, level of steam options, and the swivel head. It is pretty lightweight but does a good job of lifting dust, watersheds, and light foot traffic. The scrubber helps lift heavier, sticky messes if you repeatedly go over the mess or raise the steam leave. This model won't tolerate you pushing hard down on the handle so you need to be patient and just keep going over tough spots for it to do it's job, and it will. You'll need to remove the hot scrub pad immediately when you're done or place the entire unit on a counter while it cools to avoid damage on a wood floor. I left mine on a laminate wood floor while cooling down and it left white, cloudy stains underneath the pad on my floor that I cannot remove. Hard lesson learned. I find the mop head too large for smaller bathrooms.
I have many animals and hardwood and tile throughout my home. I have had a Shark and Orek steam mops before and thought they did a decent job. But I am a hardcore Bissell fan when it comes to vacuums because of the massive shedding from the pets not to mention my drooling Mastiffs. I went with this Bissell for the brand and am more than satisfied with my choice. This model, 1940W, does an exceptional job of cleaning both my hardwood and tile floors without streaking or having to go over the saliva enzymes 20x before it lifts. I can really clean my floors easily on the medium setting and did my kitchen, dining room, living room, and hallway which is about 1600sq. feet without having to refill the tank. The scrubbing pad made easy work of getting up any spills or sticky spots, all in one quick motion. This is steamer mop is far better than the other two I had. The cord is plenty long and the scent discs which I didn't think would be a big deal actually are. The whole house smelled wonderful and the scent even wafted upstairs. The large pad surface and swivel head are a huge plus. I highly recommend this product and Bissell in particular.ShoppingSherpa
I bought this when it was deeply discounted to replace my other current options, which were either a bucket/mop with a lil fabuloso or pinesol or getting on my hands and knees with a rag. I already have a Dyson handheld cordless vacuum, so I decided not to get the vacuum steam mop combo version, and just get this lighter steam mop only instead. Just as the Dyson made me not mind vacuuming, I thought that getting the lighter steam mop would do the same for me but for mopping, even though it's corded. I have to say, it does what it says it'll do. It's not as detailed as spending hours in the floor with a hand-rag, or as deep cleaning as soaking the tile floor with a mop-bucket but it's wayyyyy less mess, dries wayyyy faster, it's wayyyy more ergonomic, and more likely that I'll do this more often than the other two methods, which was basically out of desperation once a year. I also really like that the pads are reusable and washable, even if it's kind of a pain to remember to wash them, and don't even mind the cord. It's the perfect length to cover my entire kitchen without unplugging. Glad I held out for this. This is an extremely lightweight machine. Not just in actual weight, but in the job it does. The motor is not powerful, the spinner is not fast. You do NOT save time using this over mopping. You must go SLOOW, back and forth, several times, over each area on even the lightest of soiled flooring. You must clean as instructed, the spinner, screens, and filter after only a few minutes of use or it will stop working completely. It doesn't do well on tile unless there are nearly flat grout lines. What is it good for? Linoleum, very lightly soiled. Probably to have it charged and ready for a small spill in the kitchen while cooking, then set it aside and know you WILL have to disassemble and clean it before you use it again, even after only a minute or two of use. This thing is terrible. I wanted a shark cross wave but they’re expensive. I looked through the description and the reviews and thought this may be a less expensive alternative. You get what you pay for. We use it 2 X on hardwood floors. We don’t have carpets. The cleaner started spitting out nasty, dirty, smelly water all over the place. It left my house smelling like a septic tank. Yes, we have a puppy that has accidents and we used it to clean up. Aren’t these things designed to clean up messes? We have disassembled it just like the directions instructed. We cleaned every item that was disassembled with soap and water and even a tiny bit of bleach on the roller. We put it back together, turned it on and once again it starting spitting out sewage water. I haven’t touched it since. So i bought this yesterday i been eyeing this mop for awhile and read alot of reviews. I was so excited to finally get it as the reveiw were so great. I been useing a reuseable spray mop so wanted to up grade as the mop head gets dirty so quick as a single mom i wanted something more convenient but that is not what i got. I was so disappointed in this mop vacuum. I have real hardwood floor and laminate in my kitchen. This did not clean i had dirty spots on my floor that my mop would have got in 2 seconds. But this thing did not clean and at first im like i must be doing something wrong so i read the book with it like 5 times going yes im doing it right. At first the floor wasnt even getting wet but after holding the button down felt like forever it finally got wet. I had to go over spots so many time for it to even get clean. Went to clean my kitchen and that was even worst i kept going over a spot over and over and nothing. So i got out my spot mop sprayed it with just water and it came up as soon as i went over it. So it wasnt a hard spot to clean but the vacuum did not clean it. only good part of the vacuum is that it sucks up the water nice and leaves your floor pretty much dry. It didnt leave streaks but the worst thing of it is when you turn it on its so powerful that it moves the vacuum forward so hard that your fighting it to go backward to suck up the water. For $200 this is not worth it at all my $30 stray mop does so much better ( but hate that it leaves my floors so wet). After failing over and over to get my whole main floor clean (luxury vinyl) I bought the SpinWave. No more bucket and mop. No more rinsing and rinsing. No more slopping water or water an solution. And my husband seems to get some sort of satisfaction from running it! I find I need 4 sets of pads to change out when one set gets dirty – maybe this is because I finally found a method to clean the floor that works and I have lots of work to do. I didn't get the battery powered one because I thought it ran down too quickly. The cord is easy to deal with. I wish there was a docking station of some sort to rest the spin mop in – give it even more stability. I recommend removing the pads after mopping rather than having the unit sit on flooring with wet pads.
I usually use a spray mop but it wasn’t getting the stuck on food from the floor. I’ve tried many other mops and nothing worked. This Bissel eventually gets the stuck on food off- you just have to keep the spin mop over the food for about 60 seconds. It’s better than getting on your hands and knees to scrape off the food. I didn’t notice much of a difference between the regular mop pads and the scrub ones. It feels like you’re operating a professional floor cleaner. I used an all purpose cleaner rather than the Bissel solution. It works well without their solution. I like that the water canister comes off completely and can be cleaned. I’ve used a steam mop of theirs in the past and it would get moldy because the canister couldn’t be removed. I’ll still keep my spray mop for quick messes. I bought the corded Spinwave because I needed extended time to clean hardwood floors after removing carpet. It did a great job removing built up padding print on the hardwood floor with the scrub pads. Then after drying, I used the soft pads to apply another hardwood cleaner to help the floors shine. I had to wash the scrub pads frequently because they lifted so much dirt from the floor. I also used it on my hardwood and it really made them shine. Plan to use on a couple more projects with hardwood floors that need some help. Definitely liked using hot water with cleaner as directed and no battery to recharge. Worked smoothly unless pads got off center. Would definitely recommend!

I debated long and hard about shelling out the money for this product and decided to go ahead and try it….. bottom line: it's okay but not sure it's worth the money…. I do like the low prodile design that can reach under cabinets, tables,etc…. However you would think that for this amount of money it would come with some sort of a stand that you could put it on with the wet pad in between cleanings… I don't intend to remove and wash the pads every time… That was disappointing… It's also hard (impossible) to tell how much cleaning liquid is in the reservoir – which does seem pretty small and I found myself running out (only by noticing that nothing was coming out when I sprayed) and having to refill it…. also noticed that power button and spray buttons are pretty close together and I found myself hitting the power button numerous times instead of the spray button. Love this mop but it does not last but about a year. Have tried to clean the sprayer with a pen and it still will not work. When I try to see if I have unclogged the sprayer the mop turns off. Purchased this product as an update to an original FloorMate, model # H2800, that I've had for many, many years. Have much more floor to wash now and am much older. Wanted the rotating spin-scrub brushes and the much larger wash solution tank which are an improvement over the original model. Am disappointed. The old FloorMate out-performs this newer model in the wet vacuum mode, by far, plus the newer model leaks significantly more wash solution than the older model when stationary. The tank is properly seated so that is not the problem. Thought for sure that Hoover would've gotten a handle on this issue on updated models. While the FloorMate remains a great concept, the performance of this new model is not acceptable to me. Will resort to using my original FloorMate and resign myself to filling the wash solution tank 8-10 times as opposed to 3 times but the flooring will be almost instantly dry. Will 'gift' my sister-in-law with this new model so she can wash her back porch floor with ease as she does not require the same level of almost instant dryness that I prefer.Reenie
This is my 4th floor mate, my last one the brush would not stay attached, This one I'm having a problem with the clear cover staying on. But all in all this is a good concept for cleaning and then rinsing the floor. I wash my floor and then suck up the water, then put clean water in the tank and re rinse the floor. I have 2 old doxie who pee, and this machine really helps with the clean up. I also use it on the rubber mats at my back door during the winter and rainy season. Until summer when I can take my mates outside for a go pressure washing. The company just needs to look at a better design for the brush and now the clear cover.LINDA
I bought this specifically to clean my laminate floors after a basement remodel that left a layer of Sheetrock dust is n the textured laminate. We scrubbed, mopped and everything else to try and clean the laminate, but couldn't get this layer of dirt off the floors. Bought this vac to try since we'd already tried everything else. Mixed the cleaner with a cap full of vinegar and tried an area. Couldn't believe the dirt I emptied out of the container after one pass. After this we decided to move all the furniture and do one whole room. Not only did it get all the dirt out of the distressed floors, it scrubbed the laminate back to looking new. We'll to say the least we ended up doing every room in the house because the dust had come up through all the vents. The heavy traffic areas we did twice and still were able to pull additional dirt off the floors. I read a lot of reviews and did a lot of research before buying and the main reason I decided on this one was because of the rotating brushes. They scrub the floors in both directions and suck up the water when pulling it back. I live this vac and have also used on my tile floors. It does not clean the grout, but I wouldn't expect it to, but does an amazing job on the tile. I will be making another quick pass to n all the floors again just to see how much additional dirt I can get off. Great purchase, don't be scared by the other reviews. The vac will leak a little when water is in the cleaning container and you leave it in one spot, so if storing with water in the tank, our a towel under it.Doug

I usually clean any floor surfaces by hand but as I've gotten older the thought of my hands, knees and back being sore for days appeals less and less and I dilike using regular.mops and buckets as the water has to be changed every few wipes making it seem like a even bigger chore.. I decided to spring for one of these wetjets just so I could do a touch-up clean weekly without scrubbing on my hands and knees Firstly it's so quick and eassy to set up and you slide your bottle of wet jet solution into the hole for the mix untill it clicks and you are ready to go! I usually pre sweep twice as I have 2 cats, a dog and 2 budgies so fur and feathers are my pet peeve when mopping. Any heavy dried food spills I'll pretreat with a regular spray so it's damp and easier to remove once I use the wet jet. Firstly I usually splurge for the heavy duty cleaning pads by wetjets a pack of these runs about 6-7 dollars I prefer these as they have a scourer type line for any stubborn messes. I'll clean in sections across the kitchen working my way towards the lounge and edging of my kitchen. The spray comes out of two spots covering a large area that you hit a button with by the handle and slowly mop. I usually find to get a good clean I have to use two pads one for the dirty first clean then 2nd for a quick wipe over.to make sure all dirt is removed. While it cleans and cleans most messes well the wet jet doesn't get as close to the edge as I would like. And it isn't as good as a hand scrub clean. I bought this product as a kit several years back. Initially, I thaught it would make my life a little easier. Instead of having to mop my floor with a traditional mop and the bucket of soapy warm water not to mention the clean up after of the mop itself and dirty water bucket. This seemed like a dream come true at first as an all in one solution. The idea of having both the disposable mop pads and cleansing solution all in one system sounds so convenient.but …remember the old saying “ if it’s sounds too good to be true, it probably is”; …after using it for some time I can honestly say the ease of use is great however, it does not come close the deep clean you get with a traditional mop. In my experience it barely even cleanses the surface and I have have to physically push and exert myself with the wet jet for just that. Perhaps they redesigned it over the last year or two and it works better but in my opinion it does not clean your floors as good as it should. Also taking into consideration the expensive refills of both the solution and pads, is it really worth it? I have owned a few steam mops so I know my steam mops. The Sharper Image SI-160 stood out to me as it’s much sturdier than I’m used to. The parts are made of stronger material which makes me feel it’ll stand the test of time. The mop is triangular in shape which I imagine is to assist in to getting in to tight areas and corners. The mop was easy to assemble and the water reservoir was easy to fill. I did find that it took a few tries to actually get the steam to start coming. I pressed the button on and off a few times until it got going, but once it did, it stayed on. This steam mop didn’t leave my floors wet as others do, rather lightly damp. The steam level can be adjusted, though I used it at max steam. I was happy to see that it was successful in getting out a couple of stubborn built up spots on my floors. The cord is long which is a well thought out detail, letting me continuously mop the floors throughout my apartment. The mop doesn’t have an area to loop the cord around, which I thought was lacking. I also found the mop to be on the heavy side (along the lines of a vacuum cleaner). I guess that is due to it not being made of flimsy material, though I still do wish it was a bit lighter. My biggest issue with this mop is that it doesn’t stand on its own. You need to lean the handle against something as the handle doesn’t prop up to stand. I also found that the buttons didn’t fully snap into place as they should, though perhaps I need to be more forceful in snapping it into place. I haven’t used it in the handheld form yet but I’m excited to. This feature is so innovative and I love that it’s all integrated into one product. The harder brush for the mop may be interesting to try out as well for the really tough stains. All in all, I find this mop to be innovative and generally well made.Estilee
It’s okay. It’s not out of this world like the reviews led me to believe. I based my purchase on the reviews. When I got my steam mop, there was a piece missing. I’ll say that the sharper image company did get that rectified quickly. Target said they couldn’t get a hold of the vendor, not sure how I was able to do it so successfully. Target wanted me to return it. It takes at least a minute to warm up and seems to steam mop well. I’ll be getting something else to use in between steam mopping.Mapia
First time ever using this brand steam mop and found it to work really well. Assembling it is a breeze. The spout cup is easy to fill (just slide the rubber piece over to fill it and put back into place) and snap it into the handle. When I plugged it in (there’s no on/off button), it said it would be ready to use within 25-30 seconds but I just heard a ticking noise but I think that was just the water seeping into the mop and actually takes about a minute or two in order for it to be completely ready. The trigger, when pressed, releases the steam. I personally don’t care for the trigger because it seems to get in the way of handling the mop when mopping. I like the triangle head as it’s easy to reach into corners easier. The mop pad (two are included) stays on well with velcro and doesn’t slip or slide off. The mop glides very easily over floors and gets HOT! I was curious to see how hot it gets and was pleased at how well it steams! My floors look and feel clean so it does a great job at getting into the grooves on my floor. What I’m disappointed most about is that there isn’t a cord keeper on this mop and no place to keep the attachments. I can wrap it around the handle but it doesn’t really stay and constantly slips off. This could very easily be a five star mop if these two features could be improved. I have LVT flooring throughout most of my downstairs, and with two teenagers, two cats, and a big dog, I struggled to keep the floor clean. I used to vacuum with my stick vacuum several times a day, but hated to see the footprints left on the floor from wet feet and paws (we also have a lot of snow that gets tracked in). I love using the Karcher floor cleaner because it’s so easy to set up and can clean the paw prints my dog leaves all over the house after she goes outside in the snow. I purchased this item in 2020 and was initially very pleased. Unfortunately, as I used it the performance degraded quickly and drastically. I only used it maybe 6 or 7 times before it became unusable. There are plastic gears in it that wear very quickly and make the appliance unusable. There are additional reports of this issue on the internet. It has been sitting unusable in my closet for most of the last 2 years!!! Very disappointed in the manufacturer. So I have white tiles and 4 children, we live in the desert. Things get DIRTY FAST. I purchased this after having bad luck with the wet vac type hard floor cleaners. I’ve used this one twice, and so far I’m impressed. Pros- easy to set up, easy to use. It definitely picks up the dirt from my tile floors. I was able to steam mop my smallish kitchen and big bathroom and closet with a little more than one dispenser of water. And I didn’t feel it necessary to change the pads during mopping. It heats up quickly. Cons (but not deal breakers, just kind of annoying). The water container comes off easy, but you can’t stand it up to add water. You have to hold it. And since it is recommended to use distilled water, you can’t just hold it under the faucet. I had to juggle holding the container and adding water from a jug. I finally got a measuring cup, filled it, then used a funnel to add water to the container. Once I figured out a process it worked ok. Also, it comes with 2 pads, one for regular use and one for tougher jobs. The one for tougher jobs has a sort of ribbed terry cloth. It was harder to move across the tile with this one on. Again, not a big deal for me but it may be to some. It does leave quite a bit of water on the floor, which will evaporate eventually, but I took a clean towel and a Swiffer type handle and mopped up the excess. None of these “cons” are a deal breaker for me and I’m overall happy with my purchase.Missy
I received the Bissell PowerFresh 2 in 1 Multi surface through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am truly grateful . For many reasons steamer is amazing . I would like to start with how necessary it is to this product at a time where cleaning is so very essential. The Bissell Powerfresh is beautifully designed. Its lightweight and easy to maneuver . Small and saves space . I used the Bissell PowerFresh in the kitchen, in the bathroom and the hallways in my home. All different surface types. There are attachments that make it easy for where exactly the cleaning in happening , which is useful for sure. The water for steam heats up fast. My favorite feature about this great cleaning tool is that it is chemical free!!!! I live in a chemical free vegan environment with children, so its great to know that this Bissell meets EPA standards for sanitization. Easy to use, cleaning is A , no chemicals, use on different surfaces, and storage for the cord all put a smile on face . So happy to receive this product to let others know about its fantastic qualities. Only thing I would like different is cordless with a charger stand .Cassie
This particular mop has some great features like the long cord, level of steam options, and the swivel head. It is pretty lightweight but does a good job of lifting dust, watersheds, and light foot traffic. The scrubber helps lift heavier, sticky messes if you repeatedly go over the mess or raise the steam leave. This model won't tolerate you pushing hard down on the handle so you need to be patient and just keep going over tough spots for it to do it's job, and it will. You'll need to remove the hot scrub pad immediately when you're done or place the entire unit on a counter while it cools to avoid damage on a wood floor. I left mine on a laminate wood floor while cooling down and it left white, cloudy stains underneath the pad on my floor that I cannot remove. Hard lesson learned. I find the mop head too large for smaller bathrooms.

After failing over and over to get my whole main floor clean (luxury vinyl) I bought the SpinWave. No more bucket and mop. No more rinsing and rinsing. No more slopping water or water an solution. And my husband seems to get some sort of satisfaction from running it! I find I need 4 sets of pads to change out when one set gets dirty – maybe this is because I finally found a method to clean the floor that works and I have lots of work to do. I didn't get the battery powered one because I thought it ran down too quickly. The cord is easy to deal with. I wish there was a docking station of some sort to rest the spin mop in – give it even more stability. I recommend removing the pads after mopping rather than having the unit sit on flooring with wet pads.
I absolutely loved this floor cleaner. I have large dogs and LVP flooring so it gets dirty quickly. Having Rheumatoid Arthritis and back/neck problems, I dread mopping the floor with the basic mop. This made my life so much easier. I literally just used it yesterday with no problems and took off the pads to wash them. When I put it back on, one of the rotators wasn't working right. I unscrewed the rotator and saw that the plastic where the screw Is located is slightly brown. I tried to order a replacement part but the discs are listed as left or right. I have no idea which one is left and which one is right.
I bought the corded Spinwave because I needed extended time to clean hardwood floors after removing carpet. It did a great job removing built up padding print on the hardwood floor with the scrub pads. Then after drying, I used the soft pads to apply another hardwood cleaner to help the floors shine. I had to wash the scrub pads frequently because they lifted so much dirt from the floor. I also used it on my hardwood and it really made them shine. Plan to use on a couple more projects with hardwood floors that need some help. Definitely liked using hot water with cleaner as directed and no battery to recharge. Worked smoothly unless pads got off center. Would definitely recommend!Carolyn

I bought this two months ago to replace my previous Shark steam mop (a different model), which my daughter "borrowed". I have also had other brands of steam mops in the past. I like that the water tank is removable and can be filled directly from the tap and there is not a little jug which needs to be stored somewhere. I like that it is light and relatively small and hence easy to store and carry. I also like that it stands up by itself. My previous mop had the flip over option and the cloth was like a pocket, with only one side open. Unfortunately it shrank on its first wash and never fitted properly again, often coming off mid-mopping (one of the reasons I did not press y daughter to return it), so I liked that this model's cloth attached differently. The bit I did not anticipate with this model was that whilst the cloths stays on fine when mopping hard floors, I cannot use it to steam clean carpets as the cloths sticks to the carpet in preference to the mop. I wish I had known this before buying this mop. This is the first steam mop I have had where you have to prime the pump to get the steam flowing. This requires you to pump the handle a few times. What the instructions do not say is that you have to continue the pumping action to keep the steam flowing. Now, this happens automatically as you are mopping the floor, but when you stop to move the mop around furniture (which most of us have on our floors) the steam stops and then you have to pump it several times to get it going again. Same issue if you want to hold the mop on a stain to give it a while to soften, steam flow stops. So, overall I would not rush to buy this model again, despite it having some good features.CN263
If you are looking for a small, steam mop that delivers big results, look no further! I decided going in, that this steam mop was going to just be mediocre. But, much to my surprise, cleaned like no one’s business! The little water basin could be a little larger, but it’s not a deal breaker imo. Once plugged in, expect to be ready to mop away in about 20-30 seconds. Yes, for once a product literally gives an accurate description. The mop was super quick and easy to set up and the longer cable meant getting around large floors wasn’t such a task after all, I was reluctant to buy in favour of a cordless but couldn’t find one, I guess for electrical safety reasons these cannot be cordless. Plenty of steam, remember to do the pump action if you experience low steam with it. It takes me moments to go around and do all of our floors here, and the mop came with two pads so I’m not without if the other one hasn’t gone in with the mucky wash yet. The pad head itself twists around in movement so I can easily manoeuvre it down the sides of the toilet and any other skinny gap floor areas that fit. The price was competitive in the sale, and for something as good as this I would go as far as saying overall my purchase is outstanding. Highly recommend!Rachel

Steam mops are magical! My cleaning heart is so happy! We moved in three years ago and the floor in our bathroom has always looked like this. I probably scoured 30+ years of grime out of these tiles. So gross! Still not my favorite tile, but I can at least live with it for a little while longer and not get totally disgusted every time I look at it. The Bissell Powerfresh Slim 3-in-1 is my new best friend! Using the handheld pod, red brush, and a bit of elbow grease to scrub both tile and grout it performed really well. The grime was really built up and I had to clean out the bristles often, but I was expecting that for the initial deep clean. I also pretreated the tile flooring with a vinegar solution to loosen the dirt before scrubbing and that worked like a charm. For a big job like this I had to refill the tank several times, but if there was a larger water tank it would have added extra weight and made it difficult to maneuver the pod. Haven't tried the extension arm or the mop head yet, but I think it will be a great way to keep all that grime build up at bay.Anna
It's great! It works really well for a variety of things – cleaning floors, counters, sanitizing things. It's not noisy like some steam mops are. The added storage that clicks onto the machine for some of the extra attachments and the docking station that holds everything is a nice added bonus. It's easy to manoeuvre and reach hi and low. My reason for not giving 5 stars is because I feel that at the price point it is in, it should be a cordless machine. The cord it has is long, which is nice, however I was originally looking for a cordless machine. Not sure how the logistic would work on making one, but I can't imagine it would take that much battery power to head up and move the water. Would definitely invest in a cordless if it was on the market. The only other issue I noticed is the mop pads stain really really easy. I only used it once and washed the mop pad right away, hung to dry but it's incredibly stained.Vanessa
I really enjoyed this machine. I had high hopes, and they didn't quite get met with this device, but not disappointed either. The steam could have a little more oomph to it, for the handheld you really have to hold It against the surface of something to get the dirt up. I will say that I do not like that the steam doesn't just start coming out right away. You have to hold the button down for a good 30 seconds, wait for your lights to dim (I assume it is using more power when trying to produce steam) then it comes out. Do not release the button or you will have to start the process over again. For the amount of time it takes to start producing steam, I would expect to get more "steam" time, but again not a commercial use machine. I was able to clean my toilet, sink, and counter on 1 1/2 water refills so not too shabby I would say. The attachment tools are pretty neat as well, able to scrub pretty well with the scrubber brush. They do soften up though when you have continued use which I assume would decrease the usefulness of the brush. I do really enjoy this machine. The cleaning pads are easily removed and installed and just throw them in the wash one done and you have a fresh, good smelling pad for next use!Dannysaywhat
