I actually bought this because of Jamie Paige from yt LOL. I was super skeptical in the beginning because I’ve always had issues with my scalp and other pre-washes I’ve used, while they worked initially, ended up not doing anything long term for me. I’ve been using this since the beginning of August and omg my scalp has never been/looked healthier?! I could tell after my day 2 hair that my scalp was hydrated and not dry and starting to flake. And I can actually go a full week now without having to wash my hair (I have super long, curly textured Asian hair). I use it as an overnight treatment and put my hair up in a loose bun. I definitely recommend leaving it in longer than the minimum 5 minutes, I just feel it penetrates the scalp better if you do. I’m not sure why there are comments saying it didn’t help with hair growth…no where in the description does it claim to help with that. The main purpose is to help with dryness and damaged hair. I have very thick but bleached highlighted hair which unfortunately means crazy split/dead ends. After using DIY hair oils, argan, Moroccan, and macadamia oil, which made little noticeable impacts other than intense gorgeous smells, i bit the bullet and purchased this. I literally bought it two days ago, it arrived yesterday; so I used it as a pre wash leaving it in overnight and after today’s hair wash… wow! My hair already feels lush. I love how it washed out well without leaving a greasy residue like all other oils I’ve tried. It smells nice, not too overpowering though which is kind of a let down as I love to be able to smell oils after a wash. However, it’s really nice and I 100% recommend- my hair is shiny, soft and I feel like with more uses it’ll really help my dry and brittle ends. In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands. I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy. My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing. I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands). However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing. With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash. I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair. I feel that I can find a cheaper oil to smooth my hair after blowing it out.PastaPrincess69
This was so extremely disappointing, I even tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and used up the entire thing before giving my review. I honestly love so many Ouai hair products, their detox shampoo and scalp scrub are some of my absolute favorites! Unfortunately this was such a dud, I honestly cannot believe how many positive reviews this has received. First thing, the smell is atrocious. I like nice smelling products, and even if its unscented or a mild scent I usually don't mind but THIS! I could not get over the scent, its a very woody/herb/patchouli scent and its STRONG. Next issue I had with this is that it didn't really hydrate my hair, if anything it felt more dry after, it didn't really absorb and just sat on the hair looking wet/oily. Some hair oils I love for example are the Olaplex and Gisou hair oils!hailey.p

Before I apply this my scalp is oily and my hair is greasy and thin. I only wash every few days or when it gets too oily to style. It’s been a drier than normal winter here in the desert where I live and I’ve caught myself itching my scalp more than ever. I applied more than a few drops of this as I felt like I needed more than the 2-3 drops it instructed on the directions. I also left it in for a few hours so it would really soak in. I shampooed twice and then used conditioner on the ends. After blow drying I noticed sooo much shine and bounce! It did not weigh down my fine hair but added a nice luscious softness. The scent is very warm and kinda sweet. I also want to add that I normally use rosemary oil to help with thinning and this oil included it in the ingredients so I might swap this for good in my weekly hair routine since it has everything I need for hair health. This product has done wonders for my scalp, I’ve always struggled with a really dry scalp since as long as I can remember. I’ve tried many different products but none really seemed to do the trick. As a hairdresser, I have access to all the hair oils and treatments pretty much in the world. That’s not an exaggeration. This has to be one of the favorite products I’ve used in years! I suffer from an extremely dry, flaky, itchy, scalp especially in the winter I live in New England where it’s pretty cold now that it’s December. My scalp was so dry and itchy and my hair felt extremely dull and dry. I went in used the JVN scalp oil, washed my hair out with the correct shampoo – the website says to use a clarifying shampoo, do your research!! And my hair felt amazingggg afterwards! Full of body, shine and not dry anymore. And I have shorter hair, and no it did not make me greasy faster. A few tips I would give somebody who had trouble shampooing this out of your hair: let your hair run in the water for a couple minutes before you shampoo, probably at least five minutes. After letting it rinse for the five minutes, do two clarifying shampoos, and follow up with a moisturizing conditioner! You just have much better results after rinsing and shampooing this out properly!GBGg
First off, I think Jonathan Van Ness is amazing, and my review doesn’t change my thoughts on him or the rest of the product line. I bought this with the hope that it would help reduce the amount of hair fall I have been experiencing. I went on quite the Google search rabbit hole and stumbled on this. After reading reviews and seeing the claims about reduction in hair fall, I decided to try it. Unfortunately, haven’t noticed a difference in that, which is a bummer for someone who is struggling with thinning hair. That being said, there are a few things I love about this product. When used as directed, I don’t find that it leaves my hair greasy or weighed down, but you really have to make sure you wash your hair thoroughly after using, especially if your roots tend to get oily quickly like mine do. My hair seems smoother and less frizzy after washing if I use the scalp oil first. I also tend to struggle with dandruff from time to time, and I believe this helps keep that under control. It’s a nice product, but I’m not sure if I’ll be ordering another bottle once this is gone based on what I was hoping to get from it. Can I obsess over the smell for a moment? Amazing! It was the first thing that literally blew my mind! It’s a mix of cocoa butter (obviously) and this amazing smell that I’ve never been able to pinpoint in some hair products but reminds me of a great smelling man! Lol. Let’s move on. The product is super creamy but it doesn’t leave your hair feeling gunky or heavy. It’s super lightweight and left my hair shiny and the curls so defined! My hair already looks and feels healthier after just one use! I have naturally curly hair but I always straighten it because my curls won’t stay intact once it dries. i never write reviews for anything but holy cow this quite literally saved my hair. for reference i have a mix of 2b, 2c, and 3a hair due to years of coloring and heat damage. i have quite a bit of hair and it's thick, low porosity, and protein sensitive. no matter what "hydrating" products i've used my hair has always felt dry and never absorbed anything i put in it. i got my colored red hair retouched recently and not quite sure what my stylist used to treat my hair this time around but it came out sooo dry and brittle. after some research and finding out more about my hair type i decided to try this plus the conditioner that goes with it. and wow is all i have to say. i've never had hair this soft straight out the shower and it's so easy to comb through now. curls i thought were lost forever returned. i'm also noticing less hair fallout probably from my hair not being so tangled anymore. this shampoo cleanses really well without stripping my hair and it just overall transformed the look and feel of my hair. 10/10 recommend if you have a similar hair typepia

It is not watered down nor is it very thin, it comes out smoothly and I only need a small amount to thoroughly clean my hair. I like the way my hair feels afterwards and the very nice smell. I use SheaMoisture products and this too shall be added to my normal hair care routine and will replace my current shampoo. I bought this in winter because winter always makes my hair drier than in the summer, and I tried it the same night. The results were best I have ever seen in any product. The smell was strong, but good, so wouldn't recommend if you are sensitive to that, but otherwise, the product was really thick, which I love (it doesn't spray on like a mist, so I use it as a cream), and I use it after I wash my hair. Usually my conditioner and shampoo don't moisturize a ton, but after I put this on, my hair just slides through my fingers it's so soft. It also smells good after application, and I would most definitely recommend this product. AMAZING!!!! 🙂
The quality was overall good but the spay part continues to get stuck. Though not the fault of the company but perhaps problems with shipping. Which is why I give 4 stars, possibly consider changing you mail carrier then maybe l'll bump it up to 5. Overall decent product though kept my leg hair looking shiny through any occasion!!

I tried this product in two ways. I tried it as it was recommended, which was to use heat for deeper penetration and the other was leaving the deep conditioner on for 30-40 minutes. I feel like doing it these ways got me the samw result which is great for people who dont like using heat at all. Using this helped me detangle my hair because it gave enough slip from how moisturizing it is. Also, my half of my hair has been bleached twice and the color immediately after. That side of my hair had been limp for so long until i started using this for weeks. I want to add emphasis on weeks because its not a fast process and it took multiple uses to start seeing my curl pattern get stronger. My only complaint is that spreading it can be a little bit hard and you might have to use alot to fully saturate the hair if you long hair. This is also not buttery enough for curlier hair, like 3c to 4c hair. (in the picture i did finger coil my hair but everything i said still is relevant. They say oil is a (natural) girl's best friend, well hello Girlfriend!!! I can't say enough about this oil. It delivers on all claims…good for daily use, can be used as hot oil treatment, lightweight and non-greasy, adds long lasting shine, etc. This is a family crowd pleaser from toddlers to adults. I love the smell (sweet without being to overpowering), it gives the hair the right amount of shine without that greasy look, and it penetrates down into the hair (doesn't just sits on top) and a little goes a long way. I actually like how moisturizing this product is. However, a little bit does go a very, very long way with this product, so there’s definitely no need to be heavy handed with it, or else it may possibly leave your hair on the greasy side. I like that the product comes in a squeezy tube, and it has a pleasant scent, and that it can be applied to wet or dry hair. I only wish that this product came in a bigger size, and hopefully, Mixed Chicks will most surely do so. However, I most definitely will continue to buy it, as it is a great product all around!

So I had researched reviews on this product and they were all so positive. Now keep in mind this product is in the 35.00 range for a leave in anti Frizz spray. Well I was excited for a it promised to offer. I mean if or 35.00 it must control frizz and offer smoothing elements. Nope. I have used other less expensive products and got better results. Because I spent so much on the bottle I use it in combination with other products even though it doesn't add to the team. I can't just dump 35.00 but it provides no benefit for any frizz control and no smoothing or shine benefits. Got this product in a salon. I'm so confused as how others rave about this product- it does the complete opposite of what it's supposed to do to my hair. Every time I've used it, it makes my hair MORE knotted and dry, not sleek or soft at all. It's easier to comb through my wet hair wit nothing on it compared to when I use this product. I'm also careful not to use too much- but my hair feels dry and almost dirty afterward. I'll use this product, get disappointed, then store it away. Then I'll find it and try it again but the results are always the same- then I put it away again….I feel awful throwing t out when it's so expensive but it just does NOTHING for my hair. I’m really pleased with this product and will definitely be repurchasing. A few sprays before blow drying gives shiny smooth hair that feels soft and smooth. I think it helps to hold back frizz forming through the day too. Be careful not to be too heavy handed though, it does what it says it will so over application leaves lank, heavy hair. I tried many products such as olive oil collections, shea moisturizer collections etc and I must say if you have thick curly long hair that frizz this is the way to go. This leaves my hair soft and moisturized. I have only used it on wet hair so far but it is amazing. It allows me to comb or brush threw while removing the tangels with a easy glide. I'm very impressed and will be trying other product. Not sure it its made for dry hair yet. I’ve been using this product for a few months now, in fact I’m on my 4th jar or so of the Coconut Detangling Smoothie (and my second jar of the Coconut Hibiscus Detangling Smoothie). I will break down this review in a few components (scent, hydration, Detangling, definition, and Anti-frizz). -SCENT: I can honestly say that I much prefer the hibiscus one for the floral scent. If you have a sensitive nose I would be careful, as there are times when I find it can be a bit strong. However, the scent does settle down when it dries. -HYDRATION/MOISTURE: 10/10. I would even argue that the Hibiscus version is more moisturizing compared to the Coconut one. It keeps my hair quite hydrated for days at a time when I wear two strand twists as well. When I first put it on my hair, my hair does look white, but it sinks right in within a few minutes. -CURL DEFINITION: 8/10. I have a combination of mostly 4a hair (along with a few 4b and 3c areas). This product does a good job at defining my hair/ providing frizz free twist outs that hold up well for days. I took off two points because I find that my hair does get more defined with the regular Coconut Detangling Smoothie. DETANGLING: 9/10. This product works wonderfully to detangle your hair when used properly. I find that when the product is applied to dry hair it is not as effective as applying to very damp hair. You get maximum slip when your hair is wet or if the product is mixed with a small amount of water in your hand. ANTI-FRIZZ: 10/10. I can apply this product to dry hair to lay down my edges (before applying a scarf), or even to refresh my twists. My hair is smooth and has no frizz. On wash day my hair gets so sleek from using this product along with my oil on damp hair, and then tying it down with a scarf. My hair also did not get frizzy when I did a wash and go, or when I did a twist out. You also do not need very much product in order to get all the benefits this item has to offer. I personally only need 3-4 jars per year of this product on my tailbone length natural hair. I’m such a fan of this that I use it as my leave in/curl cream “all in one” product! I highly recommend this to anyone who has dry hair or does low maintenance styling. This product should be discontinued by the smell alone. The product itself seems to he ok for hair. The one and only time I used it, it did make my hair feel a lot more moisturized. But the smell…TERRIBLE!! It smelled so bad but despite the smell, I still tried it in hopes that it would go away. Well this made me sick. Trigggered migraines that lasted days. Worst of all, several washes later, the horrible smell would not go away. No way of knowing how bad the smell is prior to purchasing since it comes sealed, but buyer beware, you will regret buying it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCTLeslie R.
Based on description, reduces frizz and flyaways which I’m not sure why any product would want to reduce frizz or flyaways. I say that because that’s the point have natural hair to be free. And, unless you’re trying to control frizz and flyaways in a protective style then yes I can see why. I am a wash and go for a year and don’t mind the frizz and flyaways. The product smells really good thought!!! Even after hair dry, the product can be smelled days after without using any of the other MO products to keep hair moisturized. Based on the 8 fl oz jar🏺I got 2 uses wash/go uses and a little left for a 3rd. I have very dense hair which (when I say dense I mean that you have find my scalp lol) means this size jar is not really enough for my hair. I did not get a tingling feeling using this product and may be that didn’t leave on the required 15-30 minutes. I still would buy this product because my hair shine and for a conditioner to give shine that’s good. Anywho that’s my opinion on MO Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioner. Love this mask! Ok, so it costs slightly more than I would like to spend on a tub of hair mask but it is worth it. Have repurchased already! The texture is more watery than the average mask but this just melts into the hair. I have naturally straight thick (previously coloured) hair and this mask leaves it silky, shiny and soft. There is a slight tingling sensation on the scalp but the directions say it is to be expected and means it’s working – always good to stimulate the scalp for hair growth I guess. There is a scent but I don’t mind it. Highly recommend.

I have been using Borago every weekend for quite a while now. I color my hair and sometimes felt it was a little on the dry side. I also highlight several times a year. The texture of my hair is absolutely beautiful since I started using Borago. The texture is very silky and holds a curl very well, or if I’m using my flat iron it is totally smooth. The absolutely wonderful smell is also an added bonus. I always keep at least two jars in reserve. I have lost count as to how many people I have recommended this product to. This product is amazing I tried this not to long ago after we had a cool draft sweep across Florida my skin scalp and hair was totally unprepared for it. My scalp became very dry and and I noticed dry flakes coming out. I automatically thought to get a good scalp treatment and found this one on sale at tj max. When I used It I feel instantly in love..I first washed my hair with shampoo and applied this to my scalp in sections with a color brush I left it on for a few minutes and madsaged all of it into my scalp, I felt a tingling sensation and felt grittiness to it. It felt very nice. It exfoliated the scaley flakes and dry patches off my scalp. This baby reconditioned, protected and soothed my scaly scalp as it moisturized not just my scalp but my hair aswell. This stuff is infused with lavender leaves, peppermint, and natural tea tree oil as well as willow bark which are all great natural products to soothe dry scaly troubled skin. It smells wonderful and so clean. The Soy proteins, panthenol, vitamin E, and shea butter is vital in this blend and repairs the hair while it protects it making it well moisturized. Its a deep conditioner that improves the health of your hair and scalp making it detangled, smoothe soft shiny and well manageable and it good for any hair type and will even improve the texture of your hair.. I have suffered from dandruff since my teenage years. Any product I apply to my scalp after a couple of uses causes severe scalp irritation, itching, and scaling. After finding the correct shampoo to use, I knew I need to find a conditioner that I could apply directly to the scalp (because, the scalp is where hair starts so… healthy scalp = healthy hair). I had tried the normal Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special conditioner but it didn't seem conditioning enough for my scalp or hair. I stumbled upon this beauty and, although is still not enough for my hair strands it is perfect for my scalp. It has a cooling sensation and it relieves any itchy or dry spots that may pop up. My hair is silky and healthy (all new growth anyways). When this baby can't do the trick (which is excessively rare) I know it's time to use my prescription medication. I've been using this product for over 5 years and it has really made a positive impact in my scalp. I uses it with every wash with special emphasis on my "hot spots" and it works like a charm. I literally had SUCH HIGH HOPES. I bought this during Ulta's sale and used it as a twist out. I had terrible build up and flakes to the point that I had to wash my hair 2 days later. The second time around I thought maybe I used too much product ( I do that a lot). I decided on a wash and go and used a different product as my main gel, and followed up with the honey custard at the end to just make sure every curl was covered. Using CONSIDERABLY less product. I paired it with the tgin rx leavin and once again I woke up with TERRIBLE flakes and product build up. I made myself late for work trying to wash it out. This product sits right on top and looks milky when wet. Well that "milky" look is going to be flakes in the morning. Stay away.Kayla M
