My go to leave in. Blends in smoothly and my hair soaks up this product. What needs to be improved is the smell of this product because it's underwhelming. Also sometimes the product can leave my curls crunchy if I don't follow up with a smoothing styling cream or an oil. Other than that I find that these are small sacrifices based off the other leave-in conditioners that are on the market that will sometimes leave my hair with lots of residue or no moisturized. This Mixed chicks leave in conditioner is really nice for curly hair. My nieces are half Latino and this worked so well on their hair. This was so hydrating, left my curls nicely defined. I stayed sway from this product due to the name. It felt weird and gimmicky as a black girl and the product description mentions the different hair types it works on and in my experience what works for straight hair does not work for curly hair. Then one day I was broke and Camille rose honey leave in was too expensive and the smell was becoming a lot by that point so I grabbed a bottle of this and wow. I bought this on the recommendation from a friend who works at a cosmetic/skin store. It does everything it says it does: it strengthens hair, makes it less tangled without weighing it down, also gives thin hair much needed thickness, and also smooths it, gets rid of any frizz. The only thing holding me back from giving this product 5 stars is because it dulled my color. It is supposed to be safe for color treated hair, but I definately noticed a difference in my color after using, my hair is usually very shiny, not so after using this product. I switched back to my usual other shampoo and conditioner by oribe, gold lust, and my color had its usual shine and tone. Loved everything else about it though. And there should be an option for a larger size. You'll run out pretty quick with such small sizes.Land22
I really like this conditioner a lot! It leaves my hair feeling super soft and hydrated but also leaves it feeling healthy and damage free. I received this conditioner for free for testing purposes. It applies nicely to the hair and has a really nice smell to it. It can be a little strong at first but once you rinse it the scent dies down. As someone that has super straight hair I find my hair gets super tangled after washing it which means I have to use a detangler product in order to brush my hair out. After using this shampoo I found my hair was getting easier and easier to brush out to the point I didn’t even need to use the detangler spray on my hair. As for the packaging I absolutely love the yellow color and how nice and high end the packaging looks! I found the shampoo from this line did strip my color and toner a bit so I’m not 100% sure if it was the just the shampoo that caused that or if the conditioner caused it to happen a little as well. If you have color treated hair like I do I would just try and keep that in mind before using the product. Overall I would 100% recommend this conditioner because it truly leaves your hair feeling super soft and healthy.
This conditioner does a good job. A little goes a long way, and it made my long hair feel silky and strong. However, I have two main gripes with this product. 1. For some reason, the conditioner bottle holds less product than the shampoo bottle. For anybody with long hair, this is a huge problem. I always use more conditioner than shampoo, and I don’t understand why they would make the conditioner the smaller of the two. 2. . The smell of this whole product line really bothers me. It has a very strong floral scent with an alcohol undertone that really sticks around. It actually makes me feel slightly ill at times, and it makes it impossible to wear perfume. This is compounded if you use multiple products from the line. TLDR: The stuff works well, but the negatives may outweigh the positives for people with longer hair or sensitive noses.

BOMB!!!! I've been on the search for an edge gel that can lay my 3C/4A edges down for more than a couple of minutes. This is literally the ONLY edge gel I've ever used where my edges were laid ALL day long without feeling too hard or dry to the point you can tell it will break-off your edges with continued use. I did my usual routine of styling my edges…than I tied a scarf over them while they were drying and waited like 10 minutes before untying the scarf. Of course…when you first use an edge gel it looks good until like an hour later. Not with this product!!! When Ebin says this is a 24 Hour Edge Tamer…they mean it. I used this product in the morning…it's almost 8pm and my edges are still laid. Plus this product doesn't leave any gross white residue…which is so disrespectful, how are you going to have bomb edges with a white cast??? Not possible. Also it dries completely and doesn't leave a tacky film on your hair. I already purchased a back-up of this gel…and it's going to be my holy grail edge control from now on!!!meka.p

I am a fair-skinned redhead with fine, very curly hair (corkscrew curls, pencil to Sharpie diameter). I bought the Pattern 3-conditioner sampler, so I could see what works best for me. My hair has been dry lately, due to hypothyroidism, and I wash it more in the summer. So I need good hydration! Anyway… If you have fine hair, do not be afraid to try the "Intensive" conditioner!! Even though this is an intensive conditioner — kind of like a "hair mask" — it is not too heavy for my fine hair. I find that it hydrates beautifully, and after being rinsed out and then paired with a curl-defining leave-in cream, my curls are very defined, shiny, bouncy (not at all weighed-down), and frizz-resistant… even in hot, humid, rainy Maryland summer weather. I'm very happy with this, and can't wait to try the Heavy and Medium conditioners. My hair has different needs depending on the time of year, weather, and my activities. So it will be interesting to experiment with all three. I also look forward to trying the leave-in curl cream. Another important note: I am very sensitive to perfumey, over-fragranced products. That's not a problem with this conditioner. It smells nice (NOT overpowering) when using it, and then the fragrance fades. So it won't clash with your cologne or make you sneeze! Call me pleasantly surprised because what started as an "error" turned out to be the favorite! I had purchased the Intensive Conditioner in the past and thought it was the one I selected. After purchasing it however I realized I had selected the Heavy Conditioner but I figured I'd try it. WOW! It was actually BETTER than I expected! I mean peep the before and after photos! The cream left my hair feeling exactly how it's advertised, lucious, juicy and smooth! The best part? It doesn't leave my hair feeling heavy and sticky. As for the quality? Well the Conditioner itself is PERFECT so that is why I give this 5 stars. I don't often make a big deal about packaging but this container and pump just didn't work. Ok, let's get some things straight about this product. It says Heavy Conditioner for Coily hair. I read several comments of dissatisfaction of this product. My daughter has Coily/curly hair. I have tried Several.. Products which would nourish/hydrate and detangle her hair altogether. Nothing worked, until I tried Pattern Heavy conditioner for Coily hair. Yes, it is a thick conditioner, that's why it's labeled Heavy. After applying this conditioner to my daughters hair as instructed, my daughters hair is so much easier to manage, comb and detangle. I do not have to struggle to comb out her tangles like before using Pattern. If you do not have Coily/Curly hair, this product is not for you. I am using several of the Pattern products for my self and my daughter and they all work perfectly. My hair is curly and my daughter has Coily/Curly, there is a difference in our hair pattern, so therefore we use different kind of Pattern products. I was gifted by Pattern Beauty the Medium Conditioner to try. My hair is coily and this worked okay. I don't love it but I don't hate it also. It does give my hair hydration and more definition, but I prefer my other product. I would recommend giving this a try, just personally not what I love.hmre
As much as I’ve heard great things about pattern hair products for girls with curly hair, I can’t seem to relate to the ones raving about it. I am a fair-skinned redhead with fine, very curly hair (corkscrew curls, pencil to Sharpie diameter). I bought the Pattern 3-conditioner sampler, so I could see what works best for me. My hair has been dry lately, due to hypothyroidism, and I wash it more in the summer. So I need good hydration! Anyway… If you have fine hair, do not be afraid to try the "Intensive" conditioner!! Even though this is an intensive conditioner — kind of like a "hair mask" — it is not too heavy for my fine hair. I find that it hydrates beautifully, and after being rinsed out and then paired with a curl-defining leave-in cream, my curls are very defined, shiny, bouncy (not at all weighed-down), and frizz-resistant… even in hot, humid, rainy Maryland summer weather. I'm very happy with this, and can't wait to try the Heavy and Medium conditioners. My hair has different needs depending on the time of year, weather, and my activities. So it will be interesting to experiment with all three. I also look forward to trying the leave-in curl cream. Another important note: I am very sensitive to perfumey, over-fragranced products. That's not a problem with this conditioner. It smells nice (NOT overpowering) when using it, and then the fragrance fades. So it won't clash with your cologne or make you sneeze! I recently purchased the leave in conditioner and the intensive conditioner. I have 4c hair and it's always an issue finding the right conditioner as well something to help with the detangling afterwards. Had my usual set up (and time) to do my hair and was pleasantly surprised! the conditioner was thick, rich, moisturizing and not heavy or greasy! The leave in conditioner was great as well and, I was able to immediately run my fingers and a widetooth comb through my hair! No struggles or pulling. Put my hair in twists, let dry and a couple of days later was pleasantly surprised. My hair had not dried out, felt soft and manageable as I took out the twists and proceeded to put it in braids. This product was great (at first) I spent over $200 buying the intensive, leave in, medium conditioner, shampoo, argon oil, hair ties and pins. Naturally I left a review bc the emails were ridiculous. Before the product even arrived it was asking for a review. After continued use the intensive conditioner only sat on top of my head. My hair did not feel moisturized at all. Felt hard and straw like. It was terrible. The leave in was not as effective as melanin hair care leave in. The shampoo was mediocre. Shea moisturizing shampoo was more moisturizing imo. The packaging for pattern is great and that's the best I can say about pattern. It gave me good hair for about 2-4 weeks and then completely changed my hair. I don't even have color treated hair or chemicals in my hair. My hair is virgin hair. I went back to my melanin leave in conditioner and I alternate with the Shea moisturizing shampoo and redken products my hair reverted back some and is healthier. LOVE, Love, love it! I initially only bought the style cream, which was hard to distribute through wet hair and made it tacky. Then I noticed the style gel on the website and saw that it was a CREAM gel. Bought it, tried it on my wet hair after applying the leave in, then finished with the Jojoba oil blend and, "WOW!" my waves instantly popped and were elongated. My 2C/3A hair is transitioning and I chose not to do the "big chop", but whether I twist, braid, or bantu knot style, this gel provides superior slip and juicy moisture on wet hair and gives me an almost even wave pattern from root to end. It air dries soft (not glass hard like traditional gels) within a day, and makes my waves–even at the crown roots–feel like butter! I now only use the styling cream on dry hair when re-moisturizing and reactivating waves, as that works better for me. I also use the gel with the rehydrating mist on dry hair when restyling from loose waves to a ponytail to rehydrate and detangle the roots for a smooth finish…oh, and it smells good, too, without overwhelming my sinuses.Sandra C.

Very happy with my purchase so far. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm happy I gave this line a try. My last two washes, I give my hair a quick 5 min in a microfiber towel then spray the hydrating hair mist all over, followed by a quarter size of the leave-in conditioner, and then a quarter size of the curl gel. I let this air dry and I have SOFT, well formed, barely-frizzy waves. I would say, this definitely weighs down my curls a tad, as they're not as well-formed as I know they could be, but I am also not diffusing my hair and instead letting it air dry. My hair feels SOFT–I cannot stress this enough, as other products leave my hair feeling dry or crunchy, or both–and there is actual movement in my hair, which I rarely get. I know others mention the smell of the products is awful, but I have not had an issue. It's a very synthetic cucumber smell, but I find it quite faint. This product is absolutely amazing. Six months ago before I started this product my five year old son still had a little bald spot in the back of his head from when he was a baby that would not seem to grow. Not only has his hair filled in the spot but every day when styling his curly Afro his hair stays in place and when I pick him up from school his hair is not dry and it looks and smells so good. I have a 19-year-old daughter and an 8 year-old daughter and because of the amazing results sometimes I use it on their edges too and just called them royal queens. Their dad has dreadlocks and I grease/ moisturizer his hair with it as well and we are seeing the same results. Every time I go to Walmart or target I am having conversations with mothers with biracial and African-American children and expressing to them how wonderful the product is. i decided to try this in conjunction with the sheamoisture low porosity line. i have thick 2b, 2c, 3a hair but not a ton of it. it's been damaged over the years from heat and coloring and probably from using the wrong products this whole time. my hair is low porosity and protein sensitive but this mask as a deep conditioner once a week has absolutely transformed my hair. it's soft both straight out the shower and air dried. it's not as tangled and way easier to comb through which has made my hair fall out a lot less. the mask is thick but has good slip and i don't feel my hair is stringy when i'm running it through my hair. i don't think i've ever felt my hair this soft before. highly recommend if you have dry, moisture resistant hairpia
I liked the texture of this and the way it applied. It was very smooth, had great slip, absorbed into my hair rather than just sitting on top and because of how well it applied, a little went a long way. I don’t have curls, my hair is mostly straight. My hairdresser told me I may be in protein overload so I researched the best nourishing products without protein. I bought this and I did as the instructions asked. My hair looks and feels better. The smell is nothing to me. My hair is also thin and fine and it didn’t weigh it down. I barely used any. I wasn't sure about this one as I've tried "no suds" shampoos for curly heads before and wasn't satisfied. I trusted the Moroccanoil label so I gave it a try. I have curly hair type 3B. Figuring out the pump was a little challenging then when it finally pumped out, I had much more than recommended. It does give some suds or at least feels a little bit like some suds which makes it nice. Could have been because I had an excessive amt. first go around. I have to admit, this one is different, it did a great job, squeaky clean, enhanced curls, no residual weighting down my curls. I plan to continue using it, really like it and highly recommend it. This is my favorite shampoo of all time . It cleans my hair so good . My hair smells like cake batter and something else sweet . It has a nice light lather and my hair is always moisturized . I am even able to figure detangle my hair with this shampoo. I have never used anything like this . I wish I could get this at my local stores and it was a little bit cheaper but its worth it . I have not been able to find any shampoo that compares or comes close to this shampoo for my hair . I have about 6 bottles in my hair cabinet and I pain on buying this big bottle this weekend.
