20 Best Products For 4A Hair (Feb 2023 Update)

This is hands down the best curly hair gel on the market. I use 2-3 pumps for my whole head and scrunch it in after applying a leave in conditioner to very wet hair. It starts by drying hard but then as the day goes on, your hair looks and feels so soft and the curls are still in place. If i’m looking for a stronger hold because of a slick-back ponytail or something, I usually opt for a stronger gel like Not Your Mother’s. However, I still use Uncle Funky’s Daughter every single day and it’s been excellent for my 3b hair! And CGM approved!!! Worth every penny and lasts long.Natalie

I branched out a year ago to try new products for my wavy hair and I stumbled on this one. I wasn’t sure at first because it’s a weird texture. Kinda like a watery gel. I wasn’t 100% sure it would help my hair. Omg. I was so wrong to be skeptical. This stuff is in my everyday hair arsenal. I scrunch this into my wet hair after a shower. Sometimes it’s all I use and it leaves my hair soft and gently defined. If I want stronger definition, I add in Marc Anthony’s curly mousse right after this and scrunch it in with a t-shirt then let air dry. Once dry, I scrunch with my hands or a t-shirt to get the “crunch” out and my hair looks so good after. It holds the waves in nicely all day long and strong.kelly.w

Feels just like snot!! And gets the job DONE! So just so that you know, I’m a lazy 4C natural. Meaning I do bare minimum to maintain a few strands of hair on my non-chemically treated hair. I literally do not use styling products, partially out of laziness but even more so out of fear of breakage and dryness etc. I took a chance, and for the first tome in years, I tried a styling product, and this was it. It’s a gel with the exact consistency of snot. First wash your hair, condition, leave in condition or whatever, and then while your hair is still soaking wet, apply a GENEROUS amount. Finger detangle/shingle/whatever you to that usually gets a little more definition in your hair and boom. Soft not crunchy curls. Such an amazing hold without feeling like your hair is going to fall out. No flaking. When I tell you I’m the perfect guinea pig for stuff like this because I am truly so prone to messing stuff up..GIRL. Listen to me. I’ve have now used this styling gel for 3 separate wash n go combinations and I LOVE it. It’s not tacky/sticky and gives moisture, deep definition, and HOLD! For Type 4 curl girls, using this gel in combo with the Pom and honey coiling custard is a dynamic duo! I’ve been looking for a solid gel from Mielle for my hair type and this one takes the cake! Here lately I’ve had an issue with flaking when using my wetline xtreme gel for hold. This gel has replaced that one in my routine as I’ve had NO FLAKING when used with the custard or other clear/light-color styling products. I really like using these products and how my hair feels after using them. I ordered the whole set during the flash sale and when I received the products the shampoo, conditioning spray, and the conditioner weren't closed properly so most of the product was in the bottom of the box. I sent an email about the issue but I received another email for a link that doesn't work to open a ticket. No one has reached out to me and I have been sent the same link twice. My previous order the pumps on the bottles were broken. I just chalked that up to shipping but when the products are sent to you already opened, that's a whole other issue.Marcia W.

This is one of my top five shampoos for people who have a four c hair texture! The smell is amazing. It definitely gives off hints of pomegranate and honey which is the perfect snow combination. It provides a thick rich and full leather without having to use 17 pumps of shampoo. I Projects like that mielle products are parabens and sulfates paraffins and mineral oil all free. I will be the first to say that being that I have for sea hair this is not a detangling product. Moisturizing absolutely. Cleaning your hair it also removes all the impurities. I was a little disappointed when I received my black Friday package from Mielle. I have ordered before and have been pleased but this time it was like everything was thrown in a box and shipped. The box was so beat up its like the products could have came out and almost would have im certain had it been tossed around any more and I know that part wasn't so much their fault but I figured it would have been put into another box to ship to prevent that problem. The products had no confetti at least to soften how its thrown around everything was so greasy i thought for sure a product or 3 were leaking and also nothing was wrapped at least in bubble wrap considering how it was boxed up. Literally just thrown in the box any kind of way. I love this this product! Finally something that does NOT make my hair more frizzy, crunchy, dry or greasy. I have fine to medium curly long hair, I am of Eastern European descent. I just use a very small amount like directions advised, worked it into my wet hair, scrunched it with my hands and let air dry. My hair is sooo soft, no frizz and my curls are defined. I have been searching for a natural product without chemicals that actually works. I love it! It also has a tropical fragrance that is not overwhelming and smells so good! I found this product yearssss ago when I first started the Curly Girl Method. It was very runny, white and much lighter. I ended up repurchasing it and when I opened it, it is incredibly yellow and thick and the ingredient list is completely different. I don't use it everyday to care but in general, Shea Moisture was my Go To absolutely favorite brand and I used their shampoo and conditioner for about 8 years- but I noticed it a couple of months ago stripped my hair and caused an insane amount of frizz. What a shame. I will never buy another Shea Moisture product. They used to have amazing ingredients, now they have all weird chemicals and the smells changed badly. I've been using the WOW Skin Science Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo and Coconut Avocado Conditioner for the past 2 weeks and absolutely love them! I've used apple cider vinegar on my hair so I was intrigued when I saw this shampoo. This shampoo works gently to clear build-up and dandruff on the scalp and nourish hair. It works into a nice lather a little goes a long way. It's left my hair clean, shiny and soft. The WOW Coconut Oil Conditioner is ideal for dry or stressed hair. When I opened the conditioner I exclaimed "WOW this smells fantastic!" It makes me feel like I'm on an island sitting under a palm tree and relaxing. It smells that darn good! It's a very thick conditioner but rinses out easily. Between the two of them my frizz issue's aren't there so I'm a happy camper!Lisa J.

I used the WOW products hoping to improve my dandruff issues and detoxify my scalp. The ACV shampoo lathered well, washed out easily, and left a noticeable apple cider vinegar scent. It made my scalp oily and itchy after a day or two. My scalp is not usually oily. My scalp flaked more than usual. I was using it exclusively, but then I began alternating its use with my usual shampoo, which does not make my scalp oily, because I was concerned that the WOW products were too harsh. The conditioner is very thick. I use it on the ends of my hair, not on the scalp. It has a noticeable coconut scent. The labels state there are no sulfates, but the usual sodium lauroyl sulfate is replaced with Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate. I do not know if this is comparatively healthy. It has other chemicals, including sodium benzoate. I did not notice more shine to my hair. These WOW products may not be the best ones for me and my hair concerns. Of all of the curling creams I have tried this is by far my favorite! It does a good job at defining my curls and holding them into place. It also works really well when I want to do a twist out. I love the fact that it does not make my hair feel too hard and it smells delightful! To top it all off it only cost around 7 or 8 bucks! This product isn't horrible but it isn't good either. I read the reviews and people loved it but unfortunately it didn't work for me nor would I buy it again as I'm returning mine. It didn't remove the frizz from my hair, it actually weighed my curls down. I tried it multiple ways and it just didn't work, I bought this specific product because of the claims of frizz control and other reviews stating it made their hair even curlier all of which didn't hold true for me. I have fine, thin 3A curls, about 50% grey. I liked Pura D'or's Curl Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner so much, I decided to give the curl cream a try. The consistency is very thick, almost a paste. The smell is herbal, not the coconut or flowery smell curl creams tend to have. (Probably because it's marketed as a unisex product.) The smell doesn't linger once it dries. I was a little hesitant to use such a thick product on fine, thin hair, but it works. I used a pea-sized amount on wet shoulder length hair and my hair isn't weighed down at all. In fact, I have more volume than normal. My curls are bouncy, shiny and soft. I used gel over the cream because my hair frizzes up if you look at it too hard, so I can't speak to the curl cream's ability to prevent frizz. It definitely moisturizes.F. Bav

I have very thin, long, flat and oily hair. This product gives my hair volume without making it look greasy or weighed down. I originally became hooked on it because my stylist used it in their salon. Be careful not to use too much and brush it through evenly otherwise it does weigh down the hair. 10/10 would recommend for my long and flat haired ladies looking for a boost in their hair volume and their confidence. I purchased a large amount of products hoping I would have found the the Holy grail for my 4c hair. I bought the entire line and only used the products from the line for my wash day and to moisturize and twist my hair. Unfortunately, after several failed attempts, the product caused flakes in my hair every time. I tried using less and less product and the same thing happened. First time purchasing product Fri 9/3/21. I have 4a/4b coily curly hair and my ends constantly statues dry no matter how much I applied hair products to my ends to keep them moisturized. I read a lot of reviews from other 4 type natural hair and decided to try. I’m very very happy with this products. It left my hair especially my ends super soft while defining my curls. I have been through so many hair products claiming to be a moisturizer and maybe they are but my hair didn’t take to them. But this here product is the wonderful I hope it never gets discounted I just wish I had tried it out sooner, I could have save so much money over time. I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! (Full disclosure: don't know if I'd try the other products, unless they were free samples, because I don't know if the same magic translates, but this particular product is definitely A+.)monzav

So far, I love this product. I have color-damaged, fine, wavy, long, blonde hair. This oil is fairly thick, but I'm impressed with it's ability to still be dispersed evenly throughout my hair. I use this product on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair while it is semi-damp/nearly dry, usually prior to blow-drying. I use a wide-tooth comb to ensure the product is evenly disbursed. Since using this product, I've noticed a reduction in my split ends and my hair feels smooth, soft and silky. A little bit of this product definitely goes a long way. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down – and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. This is a heavier, more dense hair oil than others that I've used. If you are looking to use a hair oil & still maintain volume, I'd suggest a lighter hair oil like Kerastase or Opalex. Compared to Kerastase or Opalex hair oils, I have noticed that this Moroccanoil oil seems to last longer – I currently am on day 3 of my hair and applied a nickle-sized amount of this oil once before I blow-dried my hair on day 1, and my ends are still silky smooth & I have not had to reapply. Whereas when I have used Kerastase or Opalex hair oils in the past, I've had to apply them 1-2x daily to continuously see results. This product also makes my hair feel clean after use – with other hair oils, my hair has felt like it has a residue on it. There’s so many things to list out for this moroccanoil treatment serum that I love so very much! I love the smell! It’s very calming. I use it after my showers and lightly finger it throughout the mid and ends of my wet hair, then I take my wet-hair detangling brush and gently brush through my hair to detangle and distribute the product (serum). once my hair air drys (yes, I’m one of those people but my hair thanks me for it!) my hair looks like I’ve had a team of people working on it for hours. It’s incredibly soft, easy to manage, my natural waves are much more defined, my hair overall feels healthier and more resilient and finally, the scent lasts for several days and so do the results. Long term I feel as though this will be what my hair has been begging me for! I’ve let my beautiful momma borrow the bottle so that she can experience what I’ve been ranting and raving about for days now. Fun little tidbit: my moms hair is down past the back of her knees and she’s also around 5’5. That’s a lot of long beautiful hair! her hair has always been long and longer than that my whole life so she’s certainly going to appreciate this oil! It’s a smaller bottle about the size of an essential oil bottle BUT don’t let that fool you! A drop goes an incredibly long way! I am comparing this product to the discontinued Matrix Shaping Oil Cream – my all time favourite product. I have short, thick, coarse hair and let’s start by the smell – it is absolutely divine. The product is smooth and easy to apply with the pump and leaves my hair feeling soft all day with a lovely shine to it. Downside, I am finding I am using more than what I actually need to control the fine stray hair strands that make it seem I have a halo!!! Would make travelling difficult as you will need to decant product into a leak proof container. I'm not entirely sure the point of this product, but I apply it to my hair after showering and it definitely makes my hair a little more manageable. I air dry my hair and it seems a little less damaged and a bit smoother. Not perfect, but definitely better. In conjunction with the Brazilian foam, this works wonders for my curls. It doesn’t take much application. It also doesn’t make my hair feel dry. I can even go a few days without reapplying product and it STILL looks amazing. I have color treated hair and hydration is a must and this product keeps my tresses moisturized! This curl cream was one of my first purchases from Mielle! I was very excited to use it, it actually worked great for my curly hair at first. My hair actually started growing out thicker. I was also using the avocado moisturizer with this curl cream. Unfortunately, I noticed that with or without the moisturizer, my hair still looked like dry curls! This is my favorite curl cream from their collection and keeps my hair looking amazing for like 3 days after I initially applied it. I usually use gel after curl cream but with this product I don’t have to. My hair texture is 3C and I recommend this if you have the same hair type. Recently I was able to participate in a unique mission for Topbox Circle to test and review Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo and Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner. I purchased both full sized 384 ml bottles at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. After reviewing both products, and submitting my receipt, I will be reimbursed by Topbox Circle for the purchase of these two products. I used this Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo for the past couple of weeks. I tend to shampoo my naturally wavy to curly hair every other day, and condition it less often, or as needed. This Sulfate Free and Colour Safe Shampoo is made with Fig Extract and Boabab Oil to “Hydrate and Replenish Extra Dry, Damaged Hair”. I found this shampoo relatively thick in texture and so it was a bit hard to get out of the bottle. Found myself having to squeeze the bottle, especially when the bottle was less full, to get the product out. The Conditioner comes in a pump bottle. This shampoo richly lathers and rinses off well. I experienced no irritation on my scalp or skin. It felt gentle. The fragrance on the other hand is far too strong for me. I like the smell of figs and honey, but there’s a potent fragrance to this product. The scent is a bit too much. Shea Moisture is not my usual brand for hair products, but I wanted to try something new. This shampoo left my hair perfumed, shiny, clean, and soft. My curls looked defined. I found the oils and/or conditioners in this product a bit too heavy for daily use (every second day use for me) but I would consider using Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner weekly, or as a hair treatment. I purchased Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. After completing my review mission, I will be reimbursed by Topbox Circle. I used this Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner, every other day, for the past couple of weeks. I tend to use conditioner on my naturally wavy to curly hair, before or after I shampoo, as needed. This Colour Safe conditioner is made with Certified organic Shea Butter, Honey, Mafura and Boabab oils to “restore manageability, nourish and condition dry, brittle hair”. This Shea Moisture conditioner comes in a pump bottle, so the product is easier to get out of the bottle. I left this nourishing conditioner on my hair for a few minutes, before rinsing it off with cool water. I experienced no irritation on my scalp or skin. The fragrance of this Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Conditioner is a little too strong for me, but less potent than the matching Shampoo. This conditioner left my hair detangled, manageable, shiny, and soft. My curls looked defined, and my hair was easy to style. I was able to try the Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox & was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind this is a restorative shampoo it's very unconventional in the way it looks, smells & shampoos the hair. I was very skeptical but was used to it by the 2nd to 3rd time using it. It doesn't suds up/lather as much as a regular shampoo but it does if you really massage the hair well & give it a second shampoo. The color doesn't bother me as I said you get used to it. My hair didn't have the traditional "clean" feeling the first time I used it but there's a definite silkier almost more creamy feel to the hair after using it which is nice. This was a nice surprise! After using it for a few weeks now, I feel like again, I'm used to it & it leaves the hair clean & amazingly hydrated. Keep in mind this is all because this shampoo is sulfate-free (which is a good thing!). So give it a chance! You wouldn't necessarily use this if you have a ton of product in your hair you need to get off (lots of hairspray, gel etc,). This could be used for the second round of shampooing. So recommend to use this when you need some hydration & your hair is heat damaged. Also big plus it didn't burn my eyes which is my number one test with any shampoo especially when I saw the highlighted ingredients as peppermint & apple cider vinegar. I detest mint in general (esp in hair care) & have used products with lots of tea tree oil etc. & do not like it. So points for being subtle smelling & not harsh. Honestly didn't even notice. I received the Strength Length + Caster Neem Oil Conditioner for free from @Influenster and @mauimoisture for an honest review. The has a medium to thick consistency, and it smells amazing with a slight minty scent. It is kind of hard to describe the scent properly but it is really nice. The application of this conditioner is great, it has great slip which makes detangling a breeze and the product goes a long way. Ironically the conditioner felt more hydrating than the deep conditioner. It's definitely a budget friendly, clean conditioner. I really liked that the deep conditioner is actually silicon free. The only con is that the bottle could be bigger as I have curly hair that requires a fair amount of product to detangle. The Hold me down gelle is my go to styler for my wash and go styles. I have 3C/4A high porosity color-treated fine strand dense curly hair (whew!) and this styler gives me the elongation hold and definition for 5 days with minimal touch ups. My hair gets more voluminous each day while maintaining its definition which I love! Day 4 is my favorite because it’s the perfect happy medium for volume and definition for me. This gives me hold similar to wetline extreme gel but without the dryness!!! No flaky residue even for Touch ups. Formula has great Slip btw.Chloé S.

This nourishing hair oil from Sol de Janeiro performs pretty well, and I love that it has the classic scent from their Bum Bum cream! The bottle is beautiful and made of weighted glass, giving it a lux feel. The formula is rich and definitely on the thicker side, but once warming in between my fingers I am able to apply it easily. Just 1-2 pumps is enough to disperse throughout my ends to mid-length without going overboard (I have relatively long hair). I can also confirm that it works to calm frizzies, makes my hair more manageable and gives a nice shine. While it is nourishing to a degree as well, I wish it delivered more moisture into my hair. Adding more doesn’t seem to do much for hydration, while adding too much just makes my hair look greasy and slick as expected. I really enjoy this hair oil, especially the smell! The fragrance is the same as the original fragrance in the rest of the line. The smell is really heavy, but not overwhelming. It does calm down, but you’ll still be able to smell it all day. I have long thick hair with dry ends and rely on oils and and sprays to keep it soft and manageable. Most oils I will use a dime sized portion, but this product comes in a glass bottle with a dispenser that only puts out one drop at a time. The consistency is tick, even sticky, more like a serum than a runny oil. Being so thick, using more than a drop or 2 does leave my hair greasy. It’s well worth the price and I’ll definitely repurchase for the fragrance alone, but it won’t replace my other products that I still need for tangles and frizz. My only real complaint is that a glass bottle and oily hands don’t mix – I’ve dropped it several times and worry it will shatter one of these days. Ok, so I bought this on the app early access day and will give my honest review. I use many different oils as I like to switch up my products every time I wash my hair, including Moroccan oil, olaplex oil, Dae prickly pair oil, ouia oil, gisou and briogeo don’t despair repair hair oil. Compared to all of those, this is by far the thickest oil for sure. I have thick straight hair and a lot of it, so I can get away with a good amount of oil. I am a stay at home mom so I have times where I actually use products to style my hair, and times where I put in more nutrient moisturizing products to just let it sit in a bun. This oil is definitely better distributed on damp hair, on dry hair it’s kind of thick and skips as you run your fingers through but I have to say it smells AMAZING and does have a few unique ingredients which I look for when buying hair care. With that being said this is definitely more of a treatment oil for me that a styling oil and it gives self care vibes with the smell so I give it a 5 star! Would be nice if it was slightly less thick but I’m sure that’s due to the unique ingredients. Sorry for the long review! I'm a natural with 4a/4b hair that mainly does wash n goes. I wanted a gel to layer for hold that had better ingredients than eco and wetline. I planned to use this as a topper. I've experienced that this product offers great hold, it does not control frizz very well due to the light/watery consistency. I used a botanical gel underneath and I think my hair would have had more frizz control if I used it on damp hair vs. soaking wet. I feel as if my hair dried quicker while using this product (I did sit under the hooded dryer) and the application was super easy. I felt that it had slip due to the consistency. The hold that this gives is correct. I would describe it as a firm-medium. Definitely not a strong hold. And I would agree with the reviewer that said the curls need to be sculpted beforehand. This is not going to give you much definition alone. Use this for additional hold and control. Overall, I think I would purchase again and I'm interested in trying their strong hold gel.Jasmine

I love this product. After my leave-in I usually have a few tangles, but when I use this cream instead of my usual cream, it gave me the best slip and gets all the tangles out that my leave in did not attack, and I had no frizz. It cut my wash day in half. It used to take me an hour in a half to do my hair (tangles, ugh!), now it only takes 45 – 50 minutes. My curls were so hydrated and defined. I just love this product. Don't let the size of the bottle make you think you need a bigger bottle because a little is all you need…about the size of a quarter if you're doing sections (I do 4 sections) but use it according to your hair density. My hair is a thick density on the top (this was great for that) and my hair is 3C/4A. It works perfect my sista's. Try it. Also, I noticed it has shea butter in it…a major plus for moisture. My process is LCG, I have oil that I use after wash day, but I tell you with this cream, you really don't need it. I didn't. Curl Talk don't ever change the formula!Robbin-Lynn

I have type 3c/3b Hair so I am always needing a good hair gel. I do like the original gel in this curl talk line. It provides adequate hold. Once this gel was introduced, I knew I had to try it. It does have a sticky consistency. But I am sure that is what helps the gel give that extra hold. You will have a hard cast on your hair once it is dry, but u can always break the cast if u want to. This gel holds up to humidity well. My advice since it is so sticky to the touch and to avoid tangling your hair is to apply your typical styling products before hand, and add this gel at the very last. It will be easier to work through the hair and wont leave a tangles mess. This is not a good gel if you feel like refreshing or combing out your hair the next day, just cause the extra hold that it does give. Pineapple your hair at night and you should be good to go.Amber Amber

I bought this to help with my coarse curly hair. I've used it a few times. It's okay. I don't think I'm entirely sure exactly WHAT it is supposed to do. I was hoping it would hold my curls without making them wet looking, crunchy, or frizzy. I've tried on wet hair and dry to various results. It doesn't make your hair crunchy or hard or dry up and turn into a white flakey nightmare. It may work best for frizz for someone who doesn't touch their hair very often. Because of my hair length, I'm constantly touching it to get it out of my face, so it always ends up drizzling no matter what I use. I will keep trying with this product to see if I can't figure it out (this is the refresher spray, I also have the regular milk you out on after washing and towel drying).stephanie.c

I sprayed it on dry hair and added a leave in conditioner. It made my hair beautiful but after it was set and dry it became stiff. I softly crunched it out with shine cream. My curls did show nicely. Main complaint is my hair felt really greasy and it got knotted. At the end of the day I needed to wash it out because of the film. My brush turned white from it. The product washed out easily though.Tabitha

I have 3C curls & needed a good refresh spray. This refreshes, but then my hair feels like it’s absorbed the ocean and feels like it’s weighed down with sea air. You know how curls get when you’re by the windy ocean? That’s how your hair feels after using this. Tried it on my daughters ringlets, and it was the same results. It smells wonderful, but for a quick refresh it’s not helpful because it ruins your hair for day 3, if you’re going for 3 days between washes.Madisen

Used to use r&b all the time but it was always a bit too thick and heavy but I still used it loved the fragrance. The revive has the same exact fragrance thank God and is a bit thinner and lighter. I have abundant fine thick hair that needs some weight. This makes my hair have good weight and makes it rock back and forth beautifully. Makes my hair silky and shiny and smell amazing. I can't describe the scent. It's luscious and addictive and unique. Not vanilla at all more of a deep fruity with jasmine. Sexy!shower girl and Lush product jun

I have mermaid type mixed curly hair and this product works amazing for my hair. Also, smells great too! After, I am done placing this in my hair I rub my hands with what's left on my hands as it moisturizes my hands too. It's especially great for my hair in summer & winter due to the weather extremes. I mainly use this on my bangs, top of my head and ends to tame my frizz. I use this along with Super Milk which I spray throughout my scalp, Dirty for styling, & Sea Spray makes my curls curlier and manageable. I also like the new name as it makes more sense since it does revive my hair. I wish they made this into a solid too for travel as solids are easier for travel or bring back Queen Bee as that was great for traveling and smelled amazing too. I also wish lush brought back Sunny Day at least in winter since the spray did work well for when you have static from your hats. As moisturizing as revive & super milk, and has much hold sea spray & dirty have, none of them really address hair static from hat wearing. And hair static is usually more in winter.Lushfan

First off, a warning for people with dyed hair – the yellow pigment in this does seem to tint your hair slightly with repeated use. My bestie's blue hair has taken on a green-ish tint from this while my copper has gotten more glow-y and reflective from the added gold tones. I personally love this as it acts as a color enhancer, but some warning would have been nice as those who don't have warm-toned hair will likely not appreciate the color change. Beyond that unexpected this is a stellar leave-in hair treatment. I know it's supposed to be "just" a moisturizer but it really does so much more. My curls are bouncier and more pronounced, my hair is softer and shinier, and overall my hair just seems healthier the more I use it. I love how little I need to actually get results and that I can use it on my dry hair if I need some taming without it weighing my hair down or leaving it looking (or feeling) greasy. And, it smells great! It's def not a scent for everyone but to me it smells like a cemetery. Kind of musky and earthy but slightly floral – very gothic-chic IMO.Audrey
