Hello everyone. I came across this product. I mean I was constantly looking for a mild chemical free shampoo as I was facing a postpartum hair fall. I fortunately came across the Tree To Tub. Soapberry shampoo. I also read its contents, and I thought why not? I give this a try and uh it's amazing. It's not only gentle, it's also paraben sulfate uh silicon free, which is required for the water today. And also apart from the stress and tension that we go through, we require this kind of a shampoo, which is a very mild gentle on the scalp as an and we can use this on a daily basis. So this is an amazing product for all you women out there who want to get their hair shampooed on a daily basis without having to worry that you know, it can be harsh on their scalp. Uh it can cause hair green issues. This is amazing. I can't wait to try and just try their shampoo. I can't wait to try their other products, especially their conditioner. I’m always trying out clean products, so I took a chance on this set for my hair and I’m glad I did. Keep in mind that if you are currently using regular stuff from the grocery store, your hair will have to detox for you to feel the effects of a clean natural shampoo. On my third wash my hair was clean, shiny and moisturized without leave-in products. I confidently use this on my kids too. I wish the bottle was bigger for the price, though. I'm very impressed with the ingredients in this shampoo and pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Many years ago I was on the hunt for body care items that were fragrance and dye free to address some health issues I was experiencing. Back then (about 10 years ago) it was not easy to find these items and even more difficult to find any that worked as well as "regular" products. I wish this had been available back then! It smells wonderful and lathers just as well as any other shampoo. I have extremely sensitive skin and found this product didn't cause any issues. My hair looked great, felt fantastic, and did I mention I loved the smell? The only downside (for me) is that even though I only wash my hair 1-2 times per week the cost is a bit high for my budget. I recently started trying the Moroccan Oil oily scalp treatment a few times a week right before wash day. I leave it on for about 5 minutes each time and gently move the product around by massaging it into the scalp. It is not oily and feels like a serum for your scalp. I feel that we always forget how important our scalp is so I’m glad I started incorporating this into my pre-wash routine. I have a very oily scalp as I have combination skin. I have noticed that after using this treatment my scalp feels more balanced though still a bit oily and soothed. Since my scalp is oily I tend to use a lot of dry shampoo which tends to build up so using a treatment to get rid of this build up I believe has helped in the last few weeks! First of all, let me start by saying I have VERY oily roots. I get oily the day after washing my hair and usually have to wash it everyday or every other day (not good i know but i can’t stand being greasy). I also have dry ends to make things worse. When I tried this, my scalp felt really fresh and my roots were voluminous and full. It was easy to use and didn’t feel heavy at all. Felt super nice and cooling. I did not really notice a significant change in oiliness though. I still got fairly oily the next day but that could just be that i’m too oily? I don’t know. What I can say is this helped with volume and my scalp felt clean and purified. It didn’t feel stripped or dehydrate which I like because usually a lot of oily hair or clarifying products are super drying. This one didn’t feel bad on my dry ends either. Overall, I like it. But Would I call it a holy grail? Probably not. However everyone’s different so maybe this could work for you if your hair isn’t as oily as mine! So I rate it a 7/10!!Julia120

I have struggled with hair confidence my entire life. I have average hair, but overall it is thin and fine and prone to damaged ends even without coloring. My biggest struggle though has always been that I have almost no natural volume and very straight smooth textured hair, which makes styling a nightmare, For the longest time I showered and blow-dried and curled and teased every single day. About 8 years ago I learned that people with often oily scalps could benefit from washing their hair less often and I started to train my hair for fewer washes. For the last 4 years or so I've been washing my hair at most once a week using high quality products but I still struggled with heavy roots and oily scalp and difficulty adding texture without damaging my hair more. A year and a half ago I read somewhere that extra hydration and more focus on my scalp/roots could help me in my specific situation as maybe my hair is overproducing what I'm not giving it enough of and I decided to try Moroccan Oil products. The Moisture Repair shampoo and conditioner felt great and definitely made my hair and scalp feel healthier, but after I tried the REPAIR PRODUCT TRIO and paired it with the OILY SCALP TREATMENT I noticed the most difference and long term results for a little bit of natural volume without over-drying my scalp and recovery/repair for my ends and part line areas where I tease most often. If you're new to the products I recommend ordering a variety of the travel sizes and trying them a few weeks at a time to decide what works best for you without feeling wasteful of your money/products or getting discouraged if one particular set doesn't seem right. I did this with the Moisture Repair, Hydrating, and Extra Volume sets before finally trying the Repair products and I couldn't be happier. I will add that because my hair is so fine and absorbs water/products so well, I have chosen to only use the restoring hair mask about once or twice a month as it makes my hair feel incredible but adds a little weight to the ends which affects my ability to get added volume without additional teasing.Madeline O.

I love this product. I have suffered for years for a shampoo to help me with my dry, itchy scalp that isn't dandruff but Seborrheic dermatitis. I have used prescription shampoo that helps, but it doesn't lather and costs more for a small bottle. As it doesn't lather you tend to use more and then you have to use a regular shampoo on top of that for a clean feeling. This product lathers, cleans and refreshes my scalp. I have had a problem with itchy scalp for the last 3 years. The doctors have said it was allergy and just to take benadryl or zyrtec. One day I read about Maple Holistics and especially about the tea tree shampoo. My friend had mentioned that tea tree oil was very good with cleansing and also skin itchiness. I searched the shampoo and read about the effects of Tea Tree Oil and how it can clean and relax the skin. I decided to purchase the shampoo and see if it works. After the very first shampoo, my itchiness was 100% gone. It is the truth. I do not have any problems anymore. I shampoo with it every couple of days. If I go without shampoo my hair after the 2 day, then I do start to feel it come back. But I just wash my hair the next day and it is gone. My hair was so frizzy, dry, and unmanageable that I was wearing a hat almost every day. Even worse, I was noticing more and larger clumps of hair coming out in the shower. I was VERY surprised at how well this works. The shampoo lathers generously, I found rubbing it in between my hands for a bit and then putting my hands through my hair was sufficient to produce enough foam for my medium long hair. The conditioner is a little less intuitive, it’s a bit harder to tell how much is enough but again, just moving the bar over my hair a few times turned out to be enough. Now the best part: my hair felt and looked great afterwards. Lighter somehow and very healthy, without the usual frizz. I will definitely keep using this duo. The only thing I might wish for is a slightly stronger scent. It is very neutral smelling in my opinion. I’m not a fan of strong scents and I never wear perfume but I do like a nice smell in my hair after I washed it. I bought this shampoo on a whim when looking to change from my normal shampoo. I loved the lack of palm oil etc It's easy to use and produces a lot of lather easily! I use this everyday as that's just my normal hair care routine. I think it has improved it. With the liquid shampoo my hair was more difficult to work with and I swear I was losing more hair. A few months back I purchased this clarifying shampoo. I am pretty pleased with it, it does what it says. I get build up from styling products and this helps remove that. I bought this specifically to wash off the remaining hair dye fading on my hair. This is not a shampoo I regularly use due to my chemically processed hair and can be a bit drying. It impressively cleanses the hair and scalp by striping all the build-up and residue, including hair dye to the best of its ability. I picked up this shampoo because I live in an apartment and my shower has a lot of hard water and minerals that come from the pipes. I was very hopeful this shampoo would help to remove all that mineral and hard water buildup, which it did. however if you are going to use this, use a moisturizing mask afterwards because this will dry out your hair and make it tangly and unmanageable. Also only use this 1-2x monthly to avoid severely dehydrating your hair. This is an inexpensive product compared to other hard water or detox shampoos, but i have noticed the pricier options hydrate your hair a bit more while washing with them. I have used St Clements Shampoo Bar for over a year now and have since then switched to Ethique conditioner as well. I hope to leave some helpful thoughts on this bar as I have gotten to know it well over the past year. PROS: The sustainability, the results, the smell- there are so many good things I can say about this product. I have pretty thin hair. I originally switched to this bar because the shampoo I purchased at the grocery store was causing my hair to fall out. I decided I wanted to go natural to eliminate the chances of that ever happening again. I originally purchased this bar on Amazon simply because of its natural ingredients- without knowing anything about the Ethique company itself. Once I tried the bar and learned more about the values of the company, I was hooked. This is currently the only shampoo bar I have tried and could see myself venturing into other shampoo bars from Ethique in the future, but either way I have definitely found a soap company I will stay with. The bar helps my hair feel lighter, has allowed me to go an extra day in between washes, and is just as easy to use as liquid shampoo (once you get the hang of it). I also appreciate their value on sustainability and being kind to the environment. After my initial order on Amazon, I have ordered directly from Ethique to receive a plastic-free shipment. That alone is 100% worth the few extra dollars for shipping. Plus, the free sample size product they give you usually equates to the cost of shipping anyways and is a great gateway to trying other products from Ethique. CONS: Product-wise I don't have many bad things to say about this bar, but I did dock one star for one main reason: lifetime. I love this bar so much that I don't mind paying more for Ethique products. I do not, however, agree that the price of this shampoo bar is comparable to a bottle of "normal" shampoo at the grocery store based on its lifetime. My bars last between a month and half to two months. The first bar I bought I used incorrectly (I made suds and then washed) and have since then learned how to use the bar correctly. The month and half time average is based on the bars I used correctly. This also correlates to storage. I live in a pretty low humidity climate- its really dry here. I store my bar on soap saver pad on a metal-bar shower shelf and when I leave the shower I make sure to leave the shower doors open and the bathroom fan on for a while after I'm done. I find that the bar still remains really soft in between washes, and often breaks down while in use. This results in me going through the bar a lot quicker, since large clumps pull off the bar into my hair. I did not have this problem with the first few bars I used, but it has since been common in my past few purchases. If there are any recommendations from people who have experienced this on how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it! Hair feels clean. I was using a now discontinued liquid Charcoal Shampoo from another company, which I was happy with. This is even better for my hair and scalp. I cannot use "cheap" or "supermarket" shampoo due to reaction to additives but am not having a reaction to St Clements because it is free of the toxic (to me ) preservatives in most shampoos. I chose this brand over a cheaper option at Priceline, because Ethique has a cleaner ingredient list while the other brands stocked contain nasty (to me ) ingredients and/or preservatives. My naturally poker straight hair is not artificially lifted by this shampoo bar and is very clean with four short strokes on my waist length hair. Only issue is trying to keep the bar dry, as bathroom often in use. If you have a busy bathroom, a face washer isn't going to keep the bar dry and the box will stay wet. Should be sorted soon as getting a free pink container with latest order. Thank you for not putting Aloe in everything, as I am allergic to it and appreciate Ethique adds ingredients because they are beneficial or essential to the formula, not because they are "trending" like some other brands do.Jen

I love this shampoo. It's meant for oily hair. I tried a "normal" hair shampoo and it convinced me to try this. I've been using it forever now and I love the effect it has. It makes my hair soft. I do still use a "normal" based hair conditioner (I think it's kookabar) for extra silk texture. I am a little annoyed because it's recebtly started to get really soft and slip between the grates of its rack. (Photo to follow) This has started in the past month roughly. I keep it away from the stream of water, uncovered to air dry. It seems to only affect this recipe since, as previously stated, I did try one "normal" sampler and a normal block. This is really not typical shampoo. It does not smell amazing and package is not very cool.. but still I keep re-purchasing it. All goodness that it relies on soap nut for lather, and it works great! Really bubbles enough and cleanses gently but well. No itchiness, no funny residue after it. This is oily hair shampoo which I got by mistake (normally choosing same brand’s dry hair shampoo). Even so, I didn’t feel any negative effect on my dry hair. Price is really good and it takes quite some time to finish a bottle. This is a great shampoo for when your hair is growing back from cancer or alopecia. It is all natural no chemicals whatsoever. It is very gentle yet cleans thoroughly. None of those products have ever influenced me the way that Hydro Boost has. The conditioner feels like butter in the best way. I had to put it on the edge of the tub which I don’t prefer. It is easy to squeeze out and comes out a little thick. From the picture I thought it would be blue which it isn’t, only the bottle is blue. That’s not a big deal, I guess it was the inner child in me that hoped it would be a cool color. That’s a plus for anyone who doesn’t want unnatural dyes in their product anyways. When I put this on my hair it took a while to lather and I actually went back for a little more product to get it worked in all over my head. It’s not too strong though and it doesn’t last after being rinsed out. It didn’t feel particularly moisturizing as I lathered it over my scalp. After the shower my hair felt clean and lightweight. At first when using this I thought I found my miracle shampoo. I’ve struggled with greasy hair my entire life so this was great. However, after about two months of use it took a huge turn. It would wash the top of my hair AMAZING but no matter how much I used it how well I scrubbed the underneath of my hair was oily as soon as it would dry. Not to mention If you have thick hair at ALL I don’t recommend. It has 0 lathering ability so you’ll be using a HUGE amount each wash. I would not recommend at all!!!!! I have thick straight oily hair. I have an issue with build-up on my scalp. My hair is oily on top but the ends of my hair are drier.I got to say using this for almost a month now. My hair feels and looks more healthy. I no longer have the build-up on my hair. I use it in between using my regular shampoo. As I feel this is more a cleaner for your hair. However, you can use this as a regular shampoo, As this shampoo is gentle on your hair. This shampoo leaves my hair and scalp feeling purified. Please believe me when I say I never write reviews but I had to this time bc this is the worst shampoo ever!! My hair is left so much more oily than ever. I tried giving it so many chances but I always have to use dry shampoo after it to get the excess oil out and wash my hair the next day. Gives me no volume either and it does not foam when washing? 0/0 if I could give, I am so frustrated.Stephanie

So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. But overall I would definitely recommend to others. Perhaps slightly ticker hair wouldn’t have as much problem on day one – mine is just so very thin.rebecca.d

I am told by my stylist that I have fine hair but a lot of it. I was noticing that I was losing what looked like a lot of hair to me in the shower and in my brushes. I tried some different shampoos and conditioners and none seemed better than the others. I was having a particular problem with tangles when my hair was wet. I have very hard water so that is probably part of the issue. My sister has amazing hair, she grows it down to her waist and donates it to a wigs for kids program. She uses this shampoo and conditioner even though she doesn't color her hair so I tried it and it is working great for me. Detangles, my hair looks healthy, and I see less coming out in the shower and brushes. I use the shampoo and conditioner together every other day. On the in-between day I get it wet and just use a little conditioner from around where a low ponytail would be to the ends for detangling. I thought the fragrance was too strong at first but have gotten used to it now. I would still love a fragrance free or more subtle natural fragrance option but it is getting the results I wanted so I plan to keep using it.ashley.m

The Biolage Ultra HydraSource Shampoo for Dry Hair, Biolage Ultra HydraSource Conditioner for Dry Hair, Biolage Professional Ultra Hydra Source Leave-In Cream for Dry Hair, and Biolage Professional Ultra Hydra Source Deep Treatment Pack Hair Mask for Dry Hair. I have fine wavy colored treated hair. I wash, condition, and apply leave-in conditioner every 2-3 days. I apply the hair mask just once a week. This is a great shampoo and an essential for extremely dry hair. What I love is that the shampoo has a heavy conditioning component already, so when used with the various conditioners you get this double infusion of moisturizer. The Biolage Ultra Hydra Source formula seems to coat and seal the hair, so it is super manageable while smelling like a tropical paradise. When I put the product on my hair, my hair just soaked it in. I have never had a conditioner do that before and when I rinsed it out, my hair was like silk. Biolage will most definitely be stay as a staple in my shower!monique.a

I’ve been using this product since I am 9. It helps regulate your hair and make them less oily. Smells super good, and the texture is incredible. Probably one of the best i’ve triedcandice.w

Took a little longer to arrive than I thought it would, but so far I really like the product!! I have a very oily scalp. After one use, I was happy with how my hair looked after I dried it. Didn't look oily at all!!Michaela S
