M2 has been my favourite styling product for a while. It’s definitely medium to light hold, but it works well with my hair and leaves a really natural look throughout the day. No residue, flakes, or oiliness whatsoever, and it washes out easily with SH2. It also smells great. I have sensitive skin and can react to some products, but no worries here. his was one of the first products I tried and have been using it ever since. I mostly use it in slightly damp hair but have also occasionally used it in dry hair for a firmer hold. The feel is great and the hold in the hair is awesome but one of the biggest stand outs of the product has to be the smell. I always get compliments on the smell. Much like American Crew's Fiber, this product is high hold and made for short hair (about 1-3 inches in length). It's one of my favorite products to use after haircuts when my hair is short. Molding Clay differs from the Fiber because it has a shine. It will give something closer to a "gel/wet" look, but without hardening and the product remains malleable so you can restyle throughout the day (hence a "greasy" feel as opposed to the "sticky" feel of the Fiber). If you have hair that's longer than about 3 inches, the product will likely feel too greasy (just as Fiber feels too sticky in longer hair). You gotta know your styling products – they're not made for a one-fits-all length/style. I've never had an issue washing it out. All American Crew products I've tried are water-based and wash out easily.
I've tried a number of American Crew products and this one just doesn't work for me. It has less hold than the pomade, in my opinion, and leaves my hair looking greasy to the point that it looks like I've worked out and didn't shower afterwards. Honestly, it works so poorly that I wonder if I somehow got a fake product instead of the real thing… The smell is nice though! It's got a pleasant minty scent that I find enjoyable.A

I just tried this out to style my old school crew cut. I find that it leaves my hair looking and feeling much more natural, smooth and shiny than the water based pomades. It's also really nice that it's reworkable throughout the day. Also, like everything suavecito makes…it smells amazing! Like everything in life, there are trade offs. Amazing pomade my son has thick hair and I was first using the cremo pomade however after some months it was no longer holding his hair up and I searched for a new one and landed on this one. I have been using this product for years (4-5 years). I have thick hair, and the strong hold was really the best. There is nothing "strong" about this product any longer, it has changed…why? It used to be thick and actually strong, not too shiny just perfect. This is a gel-cream consistency styling product from Davines. It smells phenomenal, same as all Davines products. The product itself offers soft, flexible hold and some smoothing. My hair is a 2c texture and this is excellent for New York’s humid summer days. I don’t think it reinvents the wheel, but it is a very high quality product. Bonus: Davines doesn’t test on animals (to my knowledge).

From his initial reaction, he was happy with the consistency of the wax, as it was malleable and easily able to warm up with his fingers. Great product. Soft and easy to spread through the hair. Have had many hair products and have found this to be the best by far. I put it in dry hair and it shapes it really well and has a good hold. I absolutley love this stuff. I have one section of my hair in the front that gets damaged and dry because i wear a helmet for work, and i can never get it hydrated. No matter the deep conditioners or ph balance shampoo and conditioner, nothing has worked for years. This stuff does. My hair is uniform now. A little goes a long way and if you put too much in you have to wait longer for hair to aborb it all, so start with a smaller amount and work your way up. I use it as my heat protectant too, so i have noticed that my hair looks oily after i pass my straightener through at 300° but then after the section cools off it goes away. I think its nice that it does this because i can use a boar bristle brush to spread the creme through my hair more evenly.Abby B

I have very long hair, its about halfway down my back in length, so drying my hair takes what seems like forever. I have tried a lot of different priming sprays that are supposed to reduce drying time. This product works really well for my hair, it has cut drying time at least in half for me with my hair dryer. It has a mild and pleasant scent. The bottle doesn't last very long because of how long and thick my hair is, however it is completely worth it. Its clay so my hair can be reshaped throughout the day but its not heavy and very wearable. I strongly recommend it for thick course hair that wants to do its own thing. I'm pretty particular about ensuring I have hair control without having greasy looking hair. This product is a bit of a clay type material. I have been looking for 5 years now for a replacement for my HG hairspray Redken Pure Force 16 since they discontinued it. I had high hopes for this one because it was Non-Aerosol which I prefer and was suppose to hold well. I will say the hold was ok. But I had 2 problems with it this hairspray. First, the smell. Super Strong and smell lasted all day. Not chemical smelled almost herbal. And second it went on very wet and took a long time to dry down. So for a person like me with short, fine hair it just weighed my hair down. In addition, when I purchase it in the store I noticed that on one of the bottles the pump was broken. I was recently searching for a new hairspray to replace one that I loved that was discontinued. After much trial, error, and expense, I discovered Kenra 25 in aerosol form. I have always used a pump, so the aerosol took some getting used to, but this was absolutely the best hair spray I have ever used. I was at Ulta one day and I walked by the Kenra display to see if the brand was on sale when I spotted the non-aerosol form of Kenra 25 in a pump bottle. I had no idea this existed! There was only one bottle, so I quickly grabbed it and checked out. When I got home, I wanted to test it out and, unfortunately, it wouldn't pump. I know this is a concern with the aerosol and I learned that if you store it upside down, it keeps the nozzle from clogging. I turned the bottle upside down, gave it a few pumps, and it worked. It sprayed out a little thick at first and I've learned that a little goes a long way. The non-aerosol has more staying power that the aerosol and I feel like I have a few more seconds to style before it dries. This has SERIOUS staying power, so if you like extreme hold, this is it! this pomade has an interesting texture and is very fluffy and soft which makes it really easy to apply. with the length of my hair which is barely chin length, i dont see a whole lot of applications for me at the moment. i can see this being useful for a slicked pixie style or for smoothing out flyaways and braids. however, my hair is pretty short and i cant do much with it besides adding a C curl at the ends cuz my hair type is straight. it also is a water based formula so it washes out very easily with your usual shampoo. the packaging of this is cute and looks nice. the downside is the product smells like plastic and a little bit of that weird old man fragrance that is in the thickening spray. not a fan of the smell and it doesnt seem to dissipate at all either. if i apply this to my hair, my hair will smell like plastic for the rest of the day. the plastic smell is like when something plastic has been sitting in a hot car for a long time and it has that kind of burnt smell, it is very strong. overall, i dont see myself buying this product and i cant recommend it because of the smell.sarah.h
Product wise it's amazing! Love that it makes your split end disappear seamlessly. Can't rave about that enough, the zip-up technology is one of the best! It is water based and I appreciate that in a texturizing product because it comes out with water. Doesn't leave a oily residue that a lot of other texturing products. The scent isn't my favorite it's stronger then I would prefer and almost smells manly. Other the smell I would completely recommend. The formula is super smooth, no clumps, it appears white in the jar but it is clear. It definitely is a matte formula so it won't add a lot of shine to your hair but it'll smooth out any hair you want tamed!ashley.g
I'm not a hair dresser so I don't have enough experience with hair to give the best review but here's how I feel. I personally don't like anything that came in this voxbox. Mority of the reason is because of the smell. The smell of these products was so off putting i didnt even dare to test them on my hair, so I used a piece of a wig. I like the packaging though, its very modern. This one… omg. The smell is so bad, I don't even know if I can describe it. I can smell it from across the room, thats how potent it is. I didnt notice a difference on the the wig. I think it did spread a bit easier than the others. I don't believe I will recommend this one to anyone.sarah.s
