I was really dubious about buying this product – it is a bit of a luxury item . I tend to have oily forehead/T zone area. I'm currently investing in my skin and looking at adding goodness instead of using potentially pore blocking makeup products to eliminate unwanted shine The great skin natural skin foundation is my favourite foundation! This is great as a pore reducing oily areas no more finisher – no more powder or mattifying balm for me. A little goes a long way too- so yes its very expensive but it will last me a long time. This is my third bottle of this product. This is made by Estee Lauder so the packaging and bottle are very luxurious. The product is a soft creamy white formula that melts into the skin. I have very large pores on my cheeks and my foundation always sinks in my pores. I was so embarrassed and made me self conscience when people were staring at my pores. This is my secret weapon for my pores. I will pump one drop on each of my cheeks and then smooth it in and my pores are minimized. Just love this product. Wow, this serum has totally transformed my menopausal skin that has been reacting badly to everything!! I have been using it for a couple of weeks now and apply it on a morning after applying the advanced night repair serum and my skin looks amazing!!! It's smoothed out the surface of my skin, leaving it feeling super soft and silky smooth and my pores are much less noticeable! Getting older has not allowed me to move past my problematic skin. For some reason, my pores get congested despite the extra care I give my skin. In fact, I am going through a phase where they are congested more than usual. Plus, my skin can turn red and sensitive with rosacea bumps without warning despite attention to what I eat and cleansing thoroughly and treating and hydrating carefully. I take care not to over-cleanse (mindful of water temp and stick with all non-fragrance products) or over-exfoliate or pile on too many active ingredients. Still, I was having issues getting things under control. I had tried the 4%BHA foam to gel serum that was discontinued and it was just OK. So I didn't jump on the reformulated version. I should have! I ordered the Advanced Pore-Refining Treatment 4% BHA and Wow! It cleared my congested pores quickly. Within 24 hours I noticed a difference and after using 2X a day, for a few more days, the angry little bumps and congested pores, mostly on the chin and around my mouth, started to disappear, the texture improved, and it did not dry out my skin. I am 52 y/o and have combo/oily skin. I no longer have break outs (Thank God), but I have blackheads and clogged pores on my nose, forehead, and chin. I've used the PC 2% for a couple of years and have been happy with the results, but I wanted to try a more powerful BHA and see what the results look like. I've tried the product for a week at night and the results have been positive so far. I definitely see an improvement in my pores and my skin looks more radiant the next morning. What don't I like? The texture. To me, it's thick and greasy feeling. I'm stunned by the number of reviews from people with oily skin that rave about this product and the texture. I could never use this product in the morning. The greasy feels diminishes over time and my skin feels "normal" after about a half hour or so. The other thing I don't love is the container. This product is gold. I've struggled with a lot more acne than I ever had before after moving to a humid climate. My pores were always congested, my face would have been a worthy investment for an oil baron, my forehead was covered in tiny bumps, and I had at least one new whitehead every week in addition to an increase in standard flare ups. It was a nightmare. I've been trying to get my skin back to normal for months since then, but between the new sweat, stress, and layers of concealer and powder every day, my skin just could not get a break. Enter Paula's Choice BHA! I purchased the 4% while a promotion was running and also got a travel sized 2% BHA to try as well. I tried the 4% first. I put a thin layer over my entire face (for me that's four pumps – note that a pump is not the same as a dropper-full) before bed and washed it off the next morning. And voila! I saw instant results! It was the most incredible turnaround any skin product has ever given me. Many of the forehead bumps were completely gone or diminished, I had no new spots for the first time in who-knows-how-long, and old spots were faded. This is a nice serum. I only use it at night time, but have noticed a difference since I started adding it to my nighttime routine. When I wake up in the morning I notice that old spots have gone down and my overall skin texture has started to smooth out. My skin just looks bright in the morning compared to dull and just blah without this in my routine. I also use this on my neck at night. My neck had two discolored lines and they’ve gone down and overall smoothed out. The texture on my neck has dramatically smoothed out and I think a lot has to do with this serum. I use the brightening toner in the morning and this serum at night. I don’t put any other stuff on my neck other than my cleanser and moisturizer so I know my results are mainly from adding niacinamide. My neck looks like more of a match to my face, and when you’re aging like me matching my neck to my face is a good thing. Before I incorporated this to my routine my neck started showing pretty decent signs of aging. It was also discolored from left over tans in the past. So it helped make things more even. I wish I’d taken before photos to compare. Always cleansed and moisturised my skin with decent quality products but in January my skin was making me look old, it was dull and I was constantly battling texture, clogged pores on nose and build up of rough surface layer that looked dreadful under makeup. Now use a range of good molecules products and my skin looks smoother, brighter and more youthful. I’m not needing to rely on harsh physical exfoliants either. Started with niacinamide and once I knew my skin tolerates it I added the gentle retinol cream. These both improved my skin, recently added the pineapple exfoliating powder and vitamin C powder which further improved my skin. Squalane oil is nice to layer on afterwards to soothe skin. Does require research/reading info to check which products you can use together though but totally worth it.CC

I'm very weary about trying out new skincare products after having dealt with hormonal and cystic acne from the ages of 16-20. By 20, I received a medical diagnosis that explained why my skin got the way it got, and with treatment for said diagnosis, my skin has been doing really well ever since. I have been left with acne scars (ice pick scars) that have smoothed out naturally over time and lots of aloe vera, but was ready to try something new. I used Obagi products years ago with fabulous results. Went to plastic surgeons office for facial and purchased ZO products. My skin has peeled so much with this line. I could not determine which product (gentle cleanser, daily defense, pore refiner). I've tried them separately and still get some flakiness in different areas but always on my nose. Spoke with esthetician who states there's no reason why these products would do so. very disappointed as I loved the Obagi line in the past.Wanda

This has a light gray color to it, but disappears when rubbed into the skin. It feels very moisturizing at first, but when it dries down to a matte finish, my skin feels a little tight. I have dry combination skin, so it could just be due to my skin type. Upon the first sniff, this has a minty scent to it. However, after applying onto the skin, it has this strong, bamboo-ey (hard to describe) scent that doesn't dissipate after a few minutes. I can't say whether or not the salicylic acid in this has helped or not (since I haven't used it long enough), but this would probably suit people with oilier skin types. Overall, it's an average moisturizer, but the scent is really off-putting. It doesn't necessarily stink, but the scent is just a little too much.elainers

Overall the product is nice! The packaging is high quality and luxurious. Definitely not cheap. The moisturizer has a slight gray color (probably from the charcoal), when you first look at it, but it does not make your face gray when applying it on. For me I think this product is okay. It contains salicylic acid, which definitely made my skin purge after starting to use it. My skin has been purging for a while so I'm not sure if I like salicylic acid in my skincare routine (I prefer lactic acid since its better for dry skin types). But I do see the pore minimizing effects. Since I was given the full size of this product, it will definitely last a while since a little bit goes a long way! I have combination skin and tend to break out during my cycle. Overall, skin is pretty clear with some very minor hyperpigmentation. I was excited to use this as the ingredients have salicylic acid for pore congestion and charcoal for purifying. I used a basic routine- cleanse, tone, then used this as a moisturizer. When I initially put it on my skin, I felt a tingling sensation and it smelled quite nice if you like essential oils. However, the next morning my cheeks were red and irritated and I had small pustules on my forehead! I've never reacted to a product like this. I have only used Caudalie Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum for a couple of weeks and am so excited to see results already. First, it is a pleasure to apply – it is incredibly lightweight, smells amazing, and doesn’t dry out my skin. Just the scent alone is energizing. I received this serum as a #freeproduct for an honest review. First, I think it's important to point out that I have dry, sensitive skin and not the combo/oily skin the product is aimed towards. With that said, there are ingredients in this line of skincare that people like me just should not use frequently. For instance, this serum contains BHA, which increases sun sensitivity, so wearing sunscreen – although recommended – should be a MUST! The Vinopure serum comes in nice packaging, which I appreciate. However, there is no cap to cover the dispenser top, which leaves it open to collecting undetectable dust, dirt, and bacteria. Next, the product is "fragrance free," but the scent is extremely strong. It has peppermint oil in it, which causes the strong smell. In addition to the smell, the peppermint oil along with alcohol leave my skin feeling tight and tingly. For me, the product makes my skin bright red from the tingling, and certain ingredients. That said, to protect my sensitive skin, I didn't use these products twice a day, everyday, or else my skin sensitivity would increase tenfold. I cannot speak for those with combination to oily skin & who don't have sensitive skin, but for me, I don't think this is a product I would use as often as it's recommended. About a month ago, I walked into Sephora with plans to buy a spot treatment, but met an employee with the same type of skin as me. They convinced me to do away with spot treatments, and instead use a serum that will help eliminate my acne and also keep my skin looking young and smooth. Spot treatments tend to be too trying for my combo skin, so this serum was a great substitute. After a month, I already see a huge improvement in my skin. My acne has lessened, and my skin is nice and soft. I see a lot of reviews about this product giving people more breakouts, but that happens to me whenever I try a new skin product (it’s just our skin adjusting). I noticed a few white heads appear after my first few days of using this, but they were completely gone after a week. I am 35 years old with combination-dry skin. I've suffered acne, whiteheads, blackheads, closed comedones, congestion, large clogged pores, and rosacea for MOST of my life…. 2/3 of it. At the start of this year (2022) I committed to really getting to the bottom of my skincare concerns, as I can't remember the last time I felt confident about my skin. I've hid behind makeup, filters, and hair for as long as I can remember, but I was tired of it. After weeks of doing some research, I landed on THIS. I chose it over the Original 2% Solution as A) the new one wasn't out yet, and B) I figured this would be a gentler introduction into SA products, anyway. I was also careful to consider what types of products I was already using, or willing to replace with this, by studying contraindications, reviews, and possible side effects thoroughly, and also limited my product-usage to the bare necessities. My routine: Cleanser — Riversol Toner — Glow Recipe Serum/Treatment — this Moisturizer — Riversol I had read many reviews so I knew to expect an oil-y product, but I had never used squalane before. So upon initial application I was actually surprised that it tended to just sit atop my skin, just as reviewers had commented. But, seeing as I suffer tight/dry areas on the face, I didn't mind. I just started applying it in the PM a good couple hours before putting head to pillow. And, regardless of the moisturizing benefits of squalane, I ALWAYS followed with moisturizer, which helps keep it all locked in. Within the first week I was awe-struck at how amazing my complexion appeared. Each morning I'd wake up to supple, hydrated, and just glowing skin. And I was thrilled. Never once did I experience any irritation, though some mornings my face would feel tighter than others (hence why the moisturizer is needed, and nothing a good AM routine couldn't fix.) By Week 2, the dreaded purge began. And at first I was caught off guard, discouraged even — before quickly remembering this is a common process when using Salicylic Acid, so I pushed on. For another 2-3 weeks. Around this time I noticed that the product and its squalane base started absorbing into my skin much quicker — about half the amount of time — and, thus, seemed to start working better or faster. By mid-Week 3, I began to see the light at the end of the tunnel, as my skin-tone had become so much more even, my face was better hydrated and moisturized than it had ever been, and my acne blemishes and acne spots were starting to fade away. On Day 27 and Day 28 my face decided to throw out a couple new pimples, including 2 blind ones, but this is also when I started incorporating a spin brush (Clarisonic knockoff from Amazon) into my PM routine. It is my belief that doing so has increased the efficacy of this product and ALL skincare products that I use, and which may have seemingly gave my Anhydrous SA Solution a boost to work overtime and banish those last few zits … over night. Even the blind pimples which never surfaced. On Day 30 I woke up to the most beautiful skin I'd ever experienced since my childhood — and shed literal tears of joy because of it. For the FIRST time in 23 years, I was PROUD of my skin. So proud, that when my husband and I were having a little date night that same day, I went out without makeup (foundation or powder) on for the first time since I was probably a teenager. My skin looked so amazing my husband initially thought I was wearing foundation, until he got up right close to me to study me, and realized I wasn't joking. He was so thrilled, himself, as we've been together 13 years, and thus he knows how much of a struggle and insecurity my complexion has been for me. Needless to say, this product has changed my life. As of today, Day 34, I have no active breakouts — but a singular stubborn closed comedone, which I'm not even mad about. And while it's important to note that every one's skin is different and will react differently to different products, I do truly believe that many of the negative experiences from this product could be over come with time and patience. Yes, the squalane is initially uncomfortable — but not only does the skin adapt, with consistent use our skin will absorb it more readily as well. I also noticed that my oilier T-Zone has become more normalized since using this. To the point I don't feel I suffer oily areas anymore. Instead, the squalane has merely upped my moisture game and gifted me a stronger moisture barrier — giving me a glow rather than a sheen. Yes, your face will likely purge from this product — but the ultimate outcome is so worth it in the end if you can push through it. Also remember to be consistent. I've never skipped a single day of AM or PM routine. I used this every PM, after I patch tested to assure it'd be okay for my skin. As a preface, I realize lot of people struggle with skin because they do not understand it. TO has 2 options- water based & this is oil based. Water & oil do not mix, right? Many falsely still believe that you don't moisturize oily skin🤦‍♀️ or to avoid oil. Since water and oil don't mix… oil helps oily/acne skin even more! Because it's the only thing that will penetrate oil! Hello! The only people who complain about this product are people who still haven't figured out skin and don't understand that. No this product isn't meant to be used under makeup, etc & that's okay. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have its place- you have to actually understand skin, this product, etc. This is a wonderful safer/more studied alternative to tea tree oil for oily skin. It's meant to be oily lol. Oil mixes better with oil- not water! Basic chemical principle. This is for use at night before you go to sleep- and wooweee ! Lol, it will help clear up your skin while your skin goes into overdrive work while you're asleep. Think of the "slugging" trend- many of us already knew about oiling before "slugging" went TikTok viral and this would be a perfect product for it for oily/acne people vs Vaseline, since Vaseline isn't acne friendly. So I bought this product to use in combination with the glycolic acid to help decongest my pores over my nose as I have large pores. And I follow up with HA, then the Niacinamide, and then the retinoid 2% serum. I started my journey w their products almost a month ago and just recently added this salicylic acid and the retinoid serum to my routine as I loved how my skin was looking and being controlled (very oily skin) but needed to clear my pores better. This product is so oily even though it's oil free- I didn't didn't use ONE drop and it spread across my entire nose and chin and has been sitting to "dry" for well over 30 minutes and still hasn't sunk into my skin enough to apply my other serums and appears and feels very wet still . I'm highly unimpressed and disappointed. From what I've read, the original serum formulation was the BOMB, and I look forward to trying that one if it ever comes back since this doesn't burn my skin like any other salicylic acid wash or cleanser usually does. I will absolutely he returning this product im so disappointed because i have severely oily skin and the other products have helped me so much and this is not what I was expecting it to be. I love my serums and just can't justify giving them up and ruining my skin for this one exfoliating solution. I'll be much happier when the original serum comes back. This did minimize my pores on my nose pretty quickly. However, it was also supposed to be oil controlling and it didn't do that. I feel like I had the same amount of oil on my face at the end of the day as I did before I started using this product. I really wanted to try this product, b/c I thought my pores were getting larger than normal. I tired it for a couple weeks and I couldn't really see a big difference. I have very sensitive skin and I started getting large pimples; which is pretty unusual for me. Once I stopped the product, my skin cleared up. A disappointing product- I’ve seen absolutely no difference in my skin since incorporating this Niacinamide booster into my routine. I apply it after spritzing with Allies of Skin Prebiotic mist and before using Allies Mandelic Overnight serum. I’ve also, as they’ve suggested, mixed this with the Mandelic and applied, plus I’ve tried it with other non- Allies products. It doesn’t cause any reactions or cause any problems for me: it simply makes zero difference to my skin. I have oily skin and my skin loves it. I put it in my moisturizer or alone, and I can feel my skin calm down and less sensitive. I saw this brand hailed by Caroline Hirons and for the price point you need this. No posh, La Mer brands, this is science people. It mixes with everything and doesn't pull up. It's a light oil feeling but not greasy AT ALL. No fragrance, no scent and all you need is a tiny bit. Also it has an expiration date around 2 years, mine expires in 23 and I've had it since last year. I'm super picky about skin care, cleansers, toners, exfoliating, Vit C, moisturizers, eye care. I have to say the reviews surprised me. I've been using this serum with my routine for 3 weeks now and can only say good things. My skin is very dry and dehydrated. I'm in my 40s with some old sun damage and fine lines and my goal was to help heal my pregnancy melasma and help texture and lines. I use a korean essense first, followed by this niacinamide serum, vitamin c serum, a moisturizing ceramide toner and a moisturizing sunscreen every day and use a peptide-cerimide mousurizer unstead of sunscreen at night. The only thing I changed 3 weeks ago was switching out my old hyaluronic acid serum for this product. My skin is glowing. Im noticing a slow decrease in the extra texture and "patchiness" and keep getting complimented by friends who see it too. I saw a change after my 2nd time.

I too have fallen for the Niacinamide fad that had happened on Insta and have tried my share of different Niacinamide serums. The @naturium serum is by far my favorite stand alone Niacinamide product. It checks off everything in the box, high percentage, formulated with Zinc, works well with layering. It shows a visible difference in my skin when used consistently. The other ingredients include, Propanediol, Glycerin, Zinc PCA, Vitamin E, by and Sodium Hyaluronate. Zinc is supposedly an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and regulates oil. It also shows to protect and aid in wound healing and regeneration. This is why Zinc Oxide is so often found in high performing sunscreens, as it can reflect the sun and it creates a barrier between the skin and any damaging UV rays. The serum feels hydrating, non-sticky, and has very light creamy/gel texture. The serum absorbs into the skin nicely and helps reduce some of my dark spots and provides a nice glow. I have tried an array of various serums over the years and this is by far the best one I have ever used! I suffer from oily skin and my pores always appear large. I have been using this product for the past week and I am already super impressed! When I put my foundation on, I can’t believe the noticeable change in the size of my pores! The SMOOTH Pore Minimizing Serum is a very nice product. It starts with cool packaging. I love the push-down dropper piece. The serum goes on very easily. It's just the right consistency, not too thick, not sticky but not watery or runny either. It has just enough body to flow over the skin nicely giving good, even coverage. When I apply it immediately after cleansing I do experience a slight stinging sensation, nothing uncomfortable but it is noticeable. I have found that if I wait a few minutes after cleansing before I apply SMOOTH Pore Minimizing Serum I don't have the stinging sensation. The serum leaves my skin feeling super soft and velvety and does seem to blur the apperance of my pores some. It also works nicely as a primer helping my foundation smooth evenly and easily across my skin. I really like the SMOOTH Pore Minimizing Serum, it does a good job and I am experiencing the results just like it says I will.mejpye

The Mele Smooth Pore Minimizing Serum works extremely well on my skin. It leaves it dry AND soft around my more oily areas around the nose and forehead. The bottle is interesting as well as it similar to a dropper. You pump the solution and you place the dropper on you face. It typically takes one or two small drops to cover each major area. The application leaves skin soft..not dry or irritated. I wish overall that it did not have a scent. It has a soft men’s cologne type scent which actually more noticeable before you put it on (or my nose just used to it.) The scent makes it a little more difficult to wear a perfume without avoiding mixing two scents. It’s not overpowering but for some with sensitive noses this may be an issue. Follow the directions as this is ness applied in the mornings before any makes up. As far as a makeup setter I do not notice much difference but I don’t wear concealers or powders much to recognize much effects. Overall, I do like the Smooth Pore Minimizing Serum to make my skin soft and even out the ools in my skin.Crystalpower

Since mask wearing, I notice I’m breaking out… I recently got two new promotions at work (not blaming the mask, part of it could be stress) but I hate to have to spend my morning trying to conceal blemishes so I look put together on the million zoom calls I am taking meeting new people. I saw this months ago and considered buying this, I finally bit the bullet and this came in yesterday. I can only give my review on the basis of using it once… charging for 12 hours was the hardest part! Using the tool was not difficult, I did watch a couple video reviews of the product to watch it in use prior to using it myself. I steamed my face with some warm towels, next time I will do this immediately after a shower. I have sensitive skin and this did not bother me at all while using, maybe a little stingy feeling afterwards. After running tool over my face I used a toner and a moisturizer… immediately it felt so smooth and my pores appeared smaller (cleaner). Morning after – my face looked more even toned, smooth, and glowing. I am looking forward to trying this again and looking to forward to if/what changes I see to my skin!Nicole

I purchased this product during the pandemic, when the economy was sorta closing down and money was tight.

Now bare with me, as I explain the difference between Spa Sciences microdermabrasion $30 & PMD $171.

PMD:

-cons: expensive
-pros: has different microdermabrasion discs sizes and microdermabrasion textures from sensitive to rough (depending on skin sensitivity level)

Discs rotate around skin and suction sucks up all the dead skin with no residue left.

Spa Sciences:

-cons: only 1 microdermabrasion disc that does not rotate on machine and skin. (So you have to move it around the skin to get somewhat benefits).

Suction does not pick up all the dead skin cells. That you have lots of dead skin sitting on face. And the other suction tops don’t pick up much dead skin either. It’s like the suction is on low while you set the machine on high.

Cleaning is a hassle, cause you have to change the filters and tops from clogged dead skin cells as much as the machine could pick up.

Now, the reason I give this product 3 stars is because since I have sensitive face myself. All I can say is, it’s better than nothing. I may not gotten the full professional benefit as PMD, but this machine is handy just to scrape off dry skin what it can with no harsh damage.banana A

I expected this pore vacuum to suck out even the smallest of pores. I have very small pores so when they get clogged it’s not easy to remove the clog. I thought this vacuum was going to remove that but it doesn’t. It just removes dry dead skin on the surface. If you want to actually unclog your pores you’re better off with a metal extractor tool that actually applies the pressure to the blemish and pushes it out. This pore vacuum only removes dry skin and really BIG pimples.Reviewer

I initially gave myself a hard time when purchasing this. I’ve been trying to steer clear from harsh scrubs and only use chemical exfoliants, but I really wanted to try something on my nose and chin. I didn’t think this would be the answer to my sebum/blackhead problem, but I thought it’d have to do something as far as help with my texture. I have to be gentle with this scrub, only because I know those little shards in the product can be harsh on the skin and possibly create micro tears. Keep in mind I only use it on my nose and chin; very textured, dry areas that need something more than the rest of my skin sometimes. I use this seldom when I notice it’s looking rough and dry. I use this product with water to help glide it against the skin too which helps. I don’t notice it removing my blackheads per se like it claims, but it helps smooth out bumps and even out the roughness. Plus, the packaging is so cute!brittany.w

Nothing has ever gotten rid of the tiny white bumps under my lower lip. But this took care of them in one go. Its so smooth now. I am extremely skin sensitive and this didnt make me break out or anything. I think some people here have too bad of skin and are expecting miracles. For mild blackheads this works.RealWoman

I was very excited to try this moisturiser as I am using other products from DDG line. However I find this moisturiser very very sticky. To the points where my fingers (where I applied the moisturiser) get stuck together! Have to instantly wash my hands after and I find it frustrating. In terms of consistency it is very runny so be careful not to tilt the bottle when opening the jar and spill half of it out as I almost did. I wanted an oil free moisturiser for my combination skin (especially during summer) but I am now starting to wonder whether a marine oil free moisturiser would not have been better for me? Don’t get me wrong it is certainly not the worst moisturiser in the world but certainly not the best! Will have to persevere with it till it runs out but I absolutely hate the sticky residue it leaves. Not tried it under make up yet as only using it in the pm at the moment. On the positive side it gives a decent amount of moisture my combination skin needs without any added oils.Ballerina

This product is sooo underrated!! I received a small sample tube last year. I literally kept going back to it. ( Bought the large this fall) It's a treatment that in a week the difference is incredible!! I have oily skin prone to breakouts and aging skin. So trying to find a correcting treatment that hydrates gets complicated. What this product did for not only resurfacing my skin, reducing lines big time; honestly my face cleared up over time as well. Now I use it 3x a day on my off days because the results are sooo amazing!! The only negatives are the fragrance and the residues. But it's an acid treatment. Good ones will have them because they need to sit on the skin and work. The less pleasant fragrance is also from the acid. But guess what, I don't care. I'm 43 and my skin is the most refreshed, smooth and clear than its been in 10 years. Getting so many compliments now. Really, invest in this one!!! Especially oily agers, lines and acne prone. It’s not the worst I’ve ever used but it’s not the best either. Positives are that the jar is much larger than I expected and a little bit goes a long way. I only need a tiny bit to cover my whole face and neck. So it will last me a while. However, it’s kind of sticky which I really don’t like. I hate the feeling of it on my pillowcase when I’m trying to sleep. I also haven’t really noticed much difference using it with my pores or really anything. I suppose it is hydrating. Little to no scent, it does sting a little after applying but after checking multiple sources and many reviews, this is normal with retinol products. I have very sensitive skin so I imagine those with normal skin will not have any stinging.I dislike that CeraVe doesn’t disclose the amount of retinol percentage and instead gives a non-answer, but the tiny amount of retinol it has is indeed effective. I have REALLY uneven skin, lots of bumps from old blemishes that made hiding everything with makeup difficult. I bought this a little over three weeks ago and used it in tandem with Melano CC to lighten blemishes and it’s amazing how much has changed, my skin is nearly flat! I never thought any product could make my blemishes go away completely but I think it’s possible if I use resurfacing products for a while.For the first two weeks, I applied once daily before bumping it up to twice daily with the rest of my routine. Be prepared for a LOT of flaking at first if you had bad issues like me. After using up this bottle, I intend to change to a resurfacing product with a higher percentage of retinol!DN

I have sensitive and combination skin, parts are extremely dry and other parts are extremely oily. Many products break me out so I was hesitant to try this. After my first use I immediately noticed dry, flaky patches that begin to burn. I almost decided to stop it but thankfully I went online and did some research. After reading about retinol I learned that it's completely normal to have dry, red patches and some tingling or burning for the first week or 2. My skin was purging and becoming used to the product. I added in a non comedogenic moisturizer to help with the dryness. It has been a few weeks now of me using 2-3 times weekly and it no longer causes flakiness or burning. The red, post acne spots on my chin are already disappearing and my face is looking much healthier. I will be recommending this product to everyone who suffers from post acne spots and scarring.MandaK

I'm on my 3rd bottle of this serum. It is the only retinol I have ever used that does not burn my skin. "Resurfacing" is a great name for the effect, the application feels gentle but after a few consecutive days my skin starts flaking off like no tomorrow. Like, sheets of skin. In the first few weeks of use it dug up healed acne cysts, turned old scars bright red, and made my skin feel like a paper bag. Derma-E Vitamin C Night Cream makes for a great tag team. After healing up my skin is hydrated, bright and even and I rarely use concealer anymore. It's important to drink enough water, use moisturizer and sun protection with retinol, and to exfoliate gently and frequently. And don't ever ever put this on your lips lolLyz

To be hones, I was quite skeptical about this product claiming to visibly reduce pore size as pores do not go away like acnes. After consistently using this product day and night for 2 months… Im now 😲 shocked. I can literally tell my pores are less visible and much smaller. I have used this set for 3 times (mask 2x a week as recommended). I am in LOVE! My large pores are my biggest skin insecurity and I 3! Uses they seem less prominent and my skin so much more smooth. I've *always* had acne prone skin – even now in my 30s – and uneven texture, so Salicylic Acid is a regular part of my routine. This serum goes on super smoothly from its glass dropper (bonus for ensuring sanitary application!) and glides on your skin. It has a very nice, even texture – a little goes a long way! I've only been using this for about a week now, but have noticed improved texture and clearing breakouts in my chin area! Wow such a nice serum. I've heard so many good things about la roche posay ive only been able to try a couple things so far but everything they make is so good and so good for your skin. I will always trust every product this brand makes. But this serum is really nice it's not just a Salycilic Acid Serum for acne and breakouts it also has glycolic acid and Niacinimide in it. I do a nightly skincare rotation throughout the week. 1st night exfoliants 2nd night retinol 3rd 4th night recovery w/ just Hyaluronic acid. I've added this serum into my exfoliant night routine and it's perfect just what I was missing because I still get random breakouts here and there so the Salycilic Acid helps with that and the Niacinimide and glycolic acid for exfoliating, resurfacing brightening. It also feels so smooth going on and absorbs nicely. Just perfect perfect perfect a really great serum i absolutely love itleann.w

I was excited to receive this product from La Roche-Posay, a brand I love. I do have hormonal acne, so I thought I might be a good candidate for this product. However, I think the active ingredients in this product were a bit too strong to incorporate into my existing skincare routine. I also use a retinoid, and I think the addition of this glycolic acid in this product was just too irritating for my skin. I think if you’re looking to try a new product for acne, this is a great place to start, as the ingredients are effective for many people (BHA, AHA, niacinamide). However, I prefer to use my retinoid and in combination with this, it was too irritating on my dry skin. I used the Effaclar SA Serum for over a week, replacing my retinoid, and I noticed I had a bit more acne than usual, which could have been purging, but I did not notice any existing spots faded. The texture of this product was a bit gooey/sticky. I think this product has great potential, but unfortunately, just wasn’t good for my specific skin type and existing routine.shelby.c

For the first two weeks of using the Glass skin series, I had the most radiant skin of my life – my skin has been clear for years, thanks to Korean Skin care & a clean diet, but the Glass skin brought out a gorgeous otherworldliness. And then… the cystic acne. And cluster acne. Aiee…. I really want to love this stuff, and I've read that the acne can happen because of the greater cell turnover due to the hyaluronic acid, so I'm now experimenting with steaming my face nightly, and have also moved down from two pumps of the glass skin serum morning & night (to my face and neck) to just one pump at night, mixed with organic argan oil. Then I apply the Matcha cream. (And on top of that, if I think a little more moisture might help, I put on some Cerave, just because it's less speedy.) It's possible this might help… TBD! At this point I won't repurchase, obv, but if these changes help, wow, I'd re-buy forever. That said, I'd love advice anyone has – This stuff is absolutely worth a shot, but with caution…Paula S.

I bought this on a whim back in May because I was in the market for a serum, I love K-beauty, and had heard good things about this brand. I went all in on the regular sized bottle despite the price and I'm so glad I did. This stuff has transformed my skin so much. I'm extremely pale and prone to redness and uneven skin tone/texture but ever since I started using this regularly every night before bed, my skin has looked 100x more even, softer/smoother, and it just has this lovely glow that I never had before. I hardly feel the need to use much if any concealer/foundation anymore because my skin just looks that good. The texture of the product is smooth and feels really nice when applying. I just use a fingertip's worth on each section of my face; it doesn't take much so this bottle should last a while. I will say that I have found that my skin tends to get a little flaky the next morning if I don't follow this up with a moisturizer, so I would definitely recommend always moisturizing after or possibly staying away if you are prone to super dry skin. My skin is fairly normal so just a bit of moisturizer after application does the trick and keeps my glowy skin baby soft. As part of a solid routine, this stuff is amazing.Mikayla

This review has been a long time coming. I have been using this product since November of 2021. I cringe at the reviews for not giving a product ample amount of time to work. It's not a few time use to get the results, it's not instant. A lot of people were mentioning they break out and that's fair. But you need to realize your skin is purging the prior toxins. Skin regenerates, like your lashes shed. You can basically describe me as a skin cake junkie. Its done wonders on my skin in the past 8 months. Nowadays, I barely put any powder. It's leaves my skin a perfect foundation for primers to put on make up. When you're using a product with hyaluronic acid you need to add it to moist skin. (I didn't know that at first-research before your dump it) If you don't, it will dry out your skin (hence the break outs). I use this serum with the glass skin veil mist. When you put the two products together it is prime! You'll need to dab the serum on your skin until you get a slightly tacky texture. When you reach that point, then add your moisturizer.
