I'm generally pretty leary of serum type products because my hair is fairly fine/thin and products like this usually weigh it down and make it look like I need to wash my hair again. I was really nervous because it's a bit thicker than other serum products I've used before that were too heavy, but somehow it doesn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy. It smooths the cuticle and makes it so silky. i thought it was only for blow-drying, but I applied it and let my naturally medium/fine, wavy hair air dry and it actually looked good! Normally, letting my hair air dry with my natural wave is NOT cute. It's just puffy and frizzy. This gives my waves defined shape and holds even when I brush thru it. Only been using it about a month, so, don't know yet about regrowth, but I've stopped getting handfuls and brushfuls of hair. Makes it feel fuller, as well. The shampoo is very concentrated, doesn't take a lot, but the conditioner tends to be lacking. Takes a lot of product, and it doesn't feel that "conditioned", but I'm going to keep on track until I find out if there is regrowth or not. I purchased this shampoo and conditioner combo because of all the lawsuits and claims about my normal shampoo and conditioner, which was Organix in the purple. This stuff left my hair SO dry that I could barely comb it even after spaying a ton of CHI leave-in-conditioner on it. Definitely going back to Organix which I never had any trouble with to begin with and I’ve been using it for about 3 years. I received the Living Proof full thickening mousse free for review from PINCHme and I've honestly really enjoyed this product. This mousse is said to boost volume while holding your style and I would definitely agree with that claim. Its lightweight and smells quite nice. It's not a super airy mousse but it's not super dense either. It doesn't evaporate right away but it's not heavy or sticky at all. I have pretty long hair so instead of the standard egg size I typically use maybe two egg size dallops. It has been way too hot and humid here lately to do much with my hair, and while the directions say to blow-dry, I just can't. I apply it to my damp hair right after my shower and then I tie it up in a bun. When it's fully dry and I let it down, it's so full of volume and the texture is lovely. The waves are beautiful and they do hold all day. Many products of this type cause my hair to get frizzy and almost static like but this one doesn't do that. I get no flyaways or frizz with this mousse and my hair smells so great. It's a nice, light clean smell, very subtle. I've really enjoyed using this product and I would definitely recommend it. Oh, and I like the packaging as well. The button you press to dispense the mousse is a nice solid button. For those of us that have hands and fingers that might not work so well, I had no issues.ARain

For Baby Fine Hair People: This works! It's the only product I've found that actually makes my genuinely baby fine hair look thicker and appear to have some body. The effect lasts all day and onto the next if you decide not to wash your hair every day. I use it sparingly and blow dry carefully though, because it does make your hair a little stickier before it's dried. That can cause baby fine hair to break when combing. So use it, be very gentle when combing or brushing, and enjoy. This product works better for my baby fine hair than the Living Proof Full Thickening Cream. I found that product to be too greasy and it weighs my baby fines down. I wrote a long review about the LP Thickening Cream and dealing with baby fine hair in case that's helpful to anyone. My one complaint about LP products, or any in general, is fragrance. I'm picky about scents and would never wear this scent as a perfume, so why would I want it anywhere on my body? On Baby Fine Hair and this product: I have real baby fine hair. Lots of people talk about having baby fine hair, but really don't. It's a mixed blessing. Straight baby fine hair is so smooth that clips, bands, etc. can slide out of it unless there's silicone on the inside of a clip to grip the hair. If your baby fine hair is light in color, it may be almost see-through when backlit. This is not great if you want to feel like you have a nice full head of hair. If you take a strand of baby fine hair and hold it parallel to the floor, the strand itself is such a small diameter that it forms almost a sharp 90-degree angle hanging straight down from the edge of your fingers; no curve of any sort as it hangs down. It's hard for straight baby fine hair to hold a curl unless you do harsh stuff to make it hold. That, in turn, damages your hair. Almost any processing damages baby fine hair. It's also very easy to break strands of baby fine hair so you have to comb or brush carefully. Baby fine hair will blow everywhere if there's the slightest breeze. In my case, that means I've always got messy hair. Light baby fine hair is a pain if it gets blown onto your face or into your eyelashes. You can feel it's there, but it's hard to see the individual delicate strands and hard to detect them with your fingers. That's the scoop on baby fines. It's not going to be a dramatic difference though. I have had far better luck with the Living Proof Thickening Mousse. After trying what feels like hundreds of conditioners, mousses and creams that did nothing, LP Mousse has been my go-to product. It's the only product I've found that makes my hair look thicker and that lasts all day looking great. It makes me feel almost like I have normal-people-hair! But I take breaks. I found that blow-drying damages my hair too easily, and the mousse, although super effective at making my hair look thicker and giving it more body, makes my hair sticky enough that I break hair easily, even when combing gently. So, Baby Fine Sisters take note. You have to handle your hair really gently with these products. Personally, I'd opt for the LP mousse over the cream, and be gentle with my hair. This is my first foray into pomades, and I was braced for something between a hair oil and the crunchy gels of the 80s. I was pleasantly surprised to find Cremo delivered something far better. This pomade is a solid hold, especially when worked through do hair, and it holds for 24 hours, if not longer. I've been able to mist water on my hair and comb it back into place after sleeping for a second day's hold. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is great — nothing to compete with my aftershave and cologne. I have 3a/b curly hair, ringlets with big volume and I thought I'd never be able to wear my hair straight without using a straightener religiously. I recently received this Cremo Thickening Styling Paste #freeproduct from #trywithtopbox to try in exchange for an honest review. This is the first time my fiancé is trying a styling paste, he usually uses hair glue for his hair. He found that the product was easy to use and work into his hair. The texture of the paste is really soft and not at all sticky or tacky. It however does not have as much hold as his usual hair glue. He actually has pretty thick hair to begin with so he couldn't tell if there was a thickening effect. However, he said he really loved the scent of product. Most hair styling products he has tried usually smells waxy or has a overwhelming perfumy scent. This one smells like an old fashioned barber shop. I have been using this oil 1X/week overnight for about 3 months and have nothing but wonderful things to say & wonderful results. Since I moved from the west coast to the mid-west in 2014 my scalp has been dry off and on and I haven't been able to get it back into balance. I have only used for about few weeks but there is a noticable difference as far softness and fullness is concern. I have use three times the first week on dry hair. Second week went down to twice with once on wet hair. Each time, leaving it on a few hours. I do supplement with the vitamins. But have used collagen prior to this oil with not much difference so I know this change is stemming from the oil, because I doubt the vitamins would show much return after a couple weeks. Smells great and doesnt leave my hair oily or weighed down since I have fine hair. I usually will run shampoo twice during washing though I dont think its neccessary. I have before pics and will show comparison when I see a difference with growth especially around the temple area seems breakage occurs there often. Will buy again. Yes, discount would be great. I have dry hair normally. I use the 1/8th c oil with 1/2 squeezed lime mixed together for my hair soak every 3 days. I have no problem with washing oil out of my hair. My hair is supper soft between oil soak/washing and make my natural hair color shine beautifully!!! Like Ariana says hair care products alone can only do so much! Limiting the amount of sugar and alcohol consumed greatly reduces hair loss! Also not brushing wet hair, or parting your hair or putting your hair up differently helps not damage hair! I received a free sample of this, and I am actually going to shell out the full price for a bottle of it because I cannot believe the difference it has made. My hair is ridiculously fine, thin, straight, and long. My hair is easily weighed down, doesn't hold texture, doesn't hold volume, and looks greasy by the end of the day no matter what. I cannot skip a single shower, and I avoid using product in my hair in any way, shape, or form because not only will my hair look unwashed, stringy, and greasy (even with dry shampoo), but my scalp will break out. I can't even stray from the same shampoo/conditioner I've always used because my hair will freak out. All that to say– I cannot believe this product works on me. The ends of my hair dry out terribly, and in general my hair has not been in great shape. On the first use, my hair definitely felt softer, but after about a week of using this at night before bed, and every other day also putting some on the bottom half of my hair after a morning shower made my hair look and feel smoother, too. Tangled hair has been minimized, and brushing my hair is easier– less snags than usual. The oil does not have that viscous, sticky consistency that other treatments have, and doesn't have the weight and texture that make my hair limp. It is a very light oil that feels dry on contact, and does not alter the texture of my hair when applied, but the difference in softness is definitely felt. It also smells freaking amazing. 10/10, will actually buy, and would buy again! So far, I love this product. I have color-damaged, fine, wavy, long, blonde hair. This oil is fairly thick, but I'm impressed with it's ability to still be dispersed evenly throughout my hair. I use this product on the mid-shaft to ends of my hair while it is semi-damp/nearly dry, usually prior to blow-drying. I use a wide-tooth comb to ensure the product is evenly disbursed. Since using this product, I've noticed a reduction in my split ends and my hair feels smooth, soft and silky. A little bit of this product definitely goes a long way. Other reviewers with fine hair have mentioned that this product weighed their hair down – and I can confirm that while this product made my hair look much healthier, I did notice a reduction in volume. This is a heavier, more dense hair oil than others that I've used. If you are looking to use a hair oil & still maintain volume, I'd suggest a lighter hair oil like Kerastase or Opalex. Compared to Kerastase or Opalex hair oils, I have noticed that this Moroccanoil oil seems to last longer – I currently am on day 3 of my hair and applied a nickle-sized amount of this oil once before I blow-dried my hair on day 1, and my ends are still silky smooth & I have not had to reapply. Whereas when I have used Kerastase or Opalex hair oils in the past, I've had to apply them 1-2x daily to continuously see results. This product also makes my hair feel clean after use – with other hair oils, my hair has felt like it has a residue on it. There’s so many things to list out for this moroccanoil treatment serum that I love so very much! I love the smell! It’s very calming. I use it after my showers and lightly finger it throughout the mid and ends of my wet hair, then I take my wet-hair detangling brush and gently brush through my hair to detangle and distribute the product (serum). once my hair air drys (yes, I’m one of those people but my hair thanks me for it!) my hair looks like I’ve had a team of people working on it for hours. It’s incredibly soft, easy to manage, my natural waves are much more defined, my hair overall feels healthier and more resilient and finally, the scent lasts for several days and so do the results. Long term I feel as though this will be what my hair has been begging me for! I’ve let my beautiful momma borrow the bottle so that she can experience what I’ve been ranting and raving about for days now. Fun little tidbit: my moms hair is down past the back of her knees and she’s also around 5’5. That’s a lot of long beautiful hair! her hair has always been long and longer than that my whole life so she’s certainly going to appreciate this oil! I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. This product is amazing! First and foremost, it smells heavenly! To be honest, that's the reason I first starting using it, because it made my hair smell great. All I do is apply one pumpful (the perfect amount for my long hair) into damp hair right after I shower. Then one day I decided to see if it made any difference to my hair and so I skipped using it. My hair was awful! Frizzy and dry feeling, constantly in my face, dull looking etc. Needless to say, I realized that this product is amazing. Despite the constant heat styling, and other damage that happens to my hair, my stylist always comments on how healthy is looks and I honestly can say it's because of this product. I absolutely love this leave in treatment!! My hair is really thin and I would love to grow my hair long but due to how thin it is,I tend to cut it so not to be as obvious. The great thing about this treatment is that I feel like it thickens the ends of my hair so doesn’t make it as obvious that I have 2 hairs to my name. I'm 25, caucasian, with naturally wavy hair and I really like the Redken Extreme Length system. I love the scent- it's not overbearing at all. The shampoo lathers well, I just feel like it's more watery/not thick- but maybe that extends the use since the bottles are only 10oz and 8oz. The conditioner may not feel like you're using enough, but I can tell that I'm using the right amount for me when I can easily comb through after applying. I love rinsing the conditioner out because my hair feels so smooth. The leave-in treatment makes my hair smooth and doesn't leave a residue. I bought the sealer originally thinking it was a conditioner, not a leave in conditioner. Despite my mess up though I found it worked perfectly as a wash out and a leave in conditioner. It doesn't sit heavy or leave my hair feeling coated if I wash it out. My recent hair really proved how well it works on my hair as I had very minimal split ends to trim which is perfect as I am trying to grow my hair out and keep my length as much as possible for my wedding later this year. I would recommend to anyone with long, heavy, coarse hair that is prone to split ends, to use this sealer. I did not have high expectations for Cell-U-Plex when I picked it up at the Dollar Tree. I am completely shocked at how well it actually made my fine hair thicker with the first use. It did not give my hair an oily appearance like most serums I have tried. I have very thin, long, flat and oily hair. This product gives my hair volume without making it look greasy or weighed down. I originally became hooked on it because my stylist used it in their salon. I am in disbelief with how well this stuff works! My hair has so much more volume than usual, less flyaways it just fell in the correct spot stayed effortlessly! I regularly use Pura D'Or ACV shampoo and conditioner. I love it. However since my hair is high-maintenance needing moisture I use a lot of conditioner. I decided to order just a bottle of conditioner alone. I tried a different type to see how alternating two different lines would benefit my hair. I know that some ingredients have different properties. The number one ingredient in the ACV conditioner is aloe vera. But the mix in this conditioner keeps my hair stronger and prevents split ends on the days when I just wet it. It effectively prevents my hair from getting thinner. My hair is shiny and there is less hair in my comb and brush.Sab

I bought this (just the shampoo) for myself while Christmas shopping because I have thinning hair and an alopecia spot. it's been two months and I'm almost done with my first bottle. I wash my hair every other day. I started to notice I have little hairs poking out at my part that I can't lay flat. I was getting frustrated but then realized they are new baby hairs. I looked at my alopecia spot and I have thin sparse regrowth in that area which is a miracle because I haven't had any hair there in over five years. I will replenish my shampoo for sure but I'm also going to buy the conditioner with it this time. have patience! also I notice sometimes less hair in the drain but not always. Love the lemongrass scent to this. in comparing this to their original gold label, this has all of the same ingredients, but more of them so this is more concentrated. Where the Gold Label would be 1x, this would be 1.5x. I started using this and also some internal DHT blocking supplements which consisted of mainly saw palmetto, nettle, pumpkin. This will block the hormones that cause your hair follicles to shrink and make your hair fall out. You should also take vitamins to increase your hair growth too. This shampoo helps it from falling out and the first time I used it, I only had a few hairs in the drain catcher.Vir

I have waited 3 full months to write a review on this shampoo and conditioner set…and I have some amazing things to say. I started pulling out 200-300 strands of hair a day after getting Covid. I started to get scared washing or brushing my hair hair it became that bad. I started using this set every other day for three months and I know only lose 2-5 strands of hair everyday and my hair is growing back so quickly!! I can see a huge improvement in my hair health too. Yes it doesn’t smell like roses but it doesn’t smell like rotten eggs either. I can tell that this is high quality shampoo and conditioner. I got this smaller bottle so it would be easier to travel with. I love how it makes my hair feel so soft and smooth and seems to thicken it. There seems to be much less shedding going on with this line of shampoo and conditioner than the kirkland brand. I was loosing 40-50 hairs a day using the kirkland shampoo. How obsessive does one have to get to count the strands? Anyhow with this shampoo, I'm only loosing 10-15 per wash now. I do have long straight black hair with some white hairs taking over, and this product paired with the conditioner have made styling super easy. This thickening spray is amazing! I have not tried this as a heat protectant spray, I’ve only used this as a hairspray for my curls. I can’t attest to whether this protects as a heat protectant spray, or whether this thickens hair. I’ve worn my hair curly and I already have thick hair! I will say this clumped my curls beautifully!!! The smell is amazing, I got compliments every-time I’ve used this spray. I plan on using this as a heat protectant spray in the future. I think this would be amazing for curly girls who wear their hair in a ponytail or wants their curls to clump! It kept definition in my curls when paired with a gel and leave in. Just got this a couple days ago from #sephora couldn’t hardly wait to try it. I used a generous amount, in sections, on my damp hair (right after the shower….wash day) and let my hair air dry half way, then followed the rest by blow drying it with my on low force, but medium heat. Oh. My. Gawwwww. This stuff is amazing. My hair felt, looked, AND stayed “thick”! It wasn’t sticky or crunchy like most thickening sprays and it smells soooo good. It actually made my hair extremely soft and manageable. It looked healthier, shinier, just overall……beautiful. Now I completely understand why #oribe had products that are a bit pricy; they’re literally top of the line. If you’re a thin haired girl like me….go get this! I absolutely love this product! You spray it on damp hair, then blow dry to style. Spraying it on my hair did not leave my hair feeling heavy or sticky, and did not increase the drying time. I used a round blow dry brush and ended up with amazing results! I have fine, frizzy hair, so I usually have to style with a straightener or curling iron after blow drying but, honestly, I could just leave it as is. My hair has extra volume, but is also smooth and straight. I’m looking forward to using it again and adding curls to see just how much volume I can get! Ive been using this shampoo for 2-3 weeks and have noticed a definite thickening of my hair but not in a weird, artificial way. My scalp generally seems to like the stuff but it is way too early to make any kind of assessment about regrowth/loss prevention. It doesnt foam as much as other shampoos but it doesn’t need to. Oh, and my gf commented, unprompted, that she likes the smell of my hair. All in all, I’ll certainly be buying it again and probably supplement it with evening doses of the Scandinavian Biolabs serum (when I remember).Anonymous

M2 has been my favourite styling product for a while. It’s definitely medium to light hold, but it works well with my hair and leaves a really natural look throughout the day. No residue, flakes, or oiliness whatsoever, and it washes out easily with SH2. It also smells great. I have sensitive skin and can react to some products, but no worries here. It might look pricey but it lasts ages and the ingredients are top notch. Let’s face it, all the Patricks stuff looks cool in the bathroom too.Anonymous

I recently bought the dyson AirWrap in the spring sale, and I was getting soooo frustrated with it because my long, fine (but very thick) hair just would NOT hold the curls. They fell out within 20 minutes! I really didn’t want to return it though, so I started looking for products that might help. That led me to this spray. I love Oribe products, and this seemed like a good option because it simultaneously gives my hair some grip, and also dampens it slightly (which is critical for the dyson airwrap). I start by sectioning my hair (I do three layers), and I spray this onto each section right before I use the barrel attachments. After each section, I do a small spritz of the Living Proof Control hairspray as well. The first picture is my hair when using this spray, and the second is without. Worth every penny!Katiwould

This is truly an amazing product. I have hair loss issues on and off and found this product last year. I have very straight hair; this product makes my hair abundant and vibrant. At first, I worried about the alcohol smell that it has as I am very particular about what I put in my hair due to the hair loss issue, but I alternate with Sisley's Hair Rituel Volumizing Spray (also a wonderful product), and I have not had any negative reactions. I usually spray at the roots, massage in scalp very gently and wait around a few minutes for my hair to be less damp; finally, I blowdry. So, a few things. This has a high alcohol content. Which makes it SUPER drying if sprayed liberally. When I first got it and started using it, it had an instant va-va-voom blowout effect. Which can look weird at first, because the alcohol made my hair a bit stiff like straw. But, I experimented a bit and hit a sweet(er) spot when I'd spray on some leave-in conditioner on my hair (not at the roots but lower down) and then use this concentrating on the roots but also spraying it all the way down. I cut down how much I used, but realized I still need a fair bit of it for it to work. It made my hair look pretty good then! Buuut, it barely seems to have an effect anymore, weirdly. I used it today, for e.g., and there's no extra lift, volume or boost. Maybe my hair is a bit straighter with it. But that's all. And I'm not sure why but that initial effect only lasted a month-ish? For reference I have very fine AND thin hair. It can get super greasy / is at its best when washed daily. I'd get the small size if you're curious, and give it a try. When it worked, it really did work – it's one of only two products that has ever given me visible lift. The blowout effect would last for a few hours, but would wear off as the day progressed, so, keep that in mind. My 4-star rating is assuming it had retained the initial effect.GlowOverHere
