I received this sample size product complimentary to try from Influenster and Moroccanoil for my honest review and opinion. I really liked the smell of this cream. My hair is kinda weird it’s curly underneath but on top it’s more wavy and frizzy. The parts where my hair is naturally more curly curled super pretty and looked great but the wavier pieces it didn’t change much. It felt a little heavy also but I may have just used to much product. I feel i would need to use it a few more times to give a more accurate review but right now I’d say it’s an average curl defining cream. I also let my hair air dry and I’m curious how it would look if I used a diffuser. I think I’ll end up buying a full size and give it a try. My daughter also has curlier hair than I do and I feel it may be better with her texture and curl. Overall I liked it and would recommend it for anyone with curlier hair.Meliss86

I LOVE this product and this whole brand. I was sent a sample of the curl defining cream and the smell won me over instantly. It just makes your hair smell so good. My husband thought it was my shampoo or conditioner, but he told me my hair smelt so good the first time I used this product. I even went and bought the perfect defense heat protector spray after they sent me this sample. I use it after I curl my hair with my straightener and it just makes my hair smell amazing, reduces any frizz left, and makes my curls bouncy. I also let my daughter use it and she loved it as well. She has super curly ringlets and used it after a shower and her curls looked so good. They were bouncy and frizzless. Received this as a free sample from Influenster. The sample size was a bit too small for me to get a full idea of how this product works for my hair specifically as I usually need a few weeks of use to make a fair judgement, but from a limited perspective, my takeaways are as follows: Smell- amazing, the standard MoroccanOil smell Texture- I prefer styling creams and used this in place of my current one and I did notice that this left a bit of a shell to my hair after use. If I had enough to try again, I may use a bit less product next time, though I didn’t use much. Seems pretty concentrated. If I had received a full bottle, I do think I’d continue to use it until it ran out but I don’t think I’ll be purchasing this item. Everyone’s hair is different and mine reacted sort of “meh.” Not bad but not impressive either. I think fans of the line will not regret the purchase, however I didn’t find that I had any urge to switch from my current styling cream (although this one smells so much better)roxanneh

How I use these products is 1st wash and then add conditioner at beginning of my shower and leave it on til end of shower then rinse out then when get out of shower don't towel dry hair I use a silk hair wrap they sell at Walmart and put on makeup get dressed then u wrap hair and brush with a paddle detangle brush only when it's wet then squeeze the serum in my hands and spread out in hands and apply to my hair especially the ends then I hang my head to one side and with my hand lift up my hair from the bottom like your picking it up don't use a brush only hands and dry on inside and then the outside of hair still lifting with hands and do the other side and then you have to spray with Frizz ease hairspray to finish or all your work will go to waste cause your hair will Frizz up againDeanna Holt

I've never tried a foam before as I always used to use a mousse back in my 20s. I've recently discovered though that my hair doesn't like mousse anymore and it makes my hair dry. So I saw another curly girl using this foam and thought I would give it a go. It's got a nice smell. Not overpowering , and it has a nice consistency. I apply 3 pumps to my hair and this coats it well. I use the glazing technique and then I scrunch in. It leaves a great cast which I scrunch out when my hair is 100% dry. It gives great hold and is great for a refresh also on day 2/3 hair.nicola.c

I like it , it's not as crunchy as other products. I don't know many products that doesn't leave your hair crunchy and hard feeling. But this one. I apply to my hair while it's still wet. I also use it combined with hair oil and many other products. I first wet my hair get some in my hand and then, I comb through my hair with my fingers applying a thin layer of product. I then Addy hair oils the same way it allows my hair to hold its curls longer but it isn't hard and crunchy like previous products I have tried. My hair is thin and wavy, with low porosity. I rarely wear it in its natural state, opting to dry with a round blow-dryer brush and flat iron. SCENT: This reminds me of the Melrose Place scent, and is noticeable upon spritzing, but fades rather quickly. TEXTURE: A little goes a long way. The right amount gives my hair volume; too much gave it a crispy texture. Overall: I tried this four different ways, With varying degrees of success. First, using my everyday product routine, using Kérastase Nutritive Nectar, Color WOW Dream Coat and Olaplex #6 on the ends of my hair. I misted the OUAI all over, then sectioned and twisted my hair, pinning each section at the bottom and air drying. The result was a somewhat frizzy mess. Second, I used it as a substitute for dry shampoo (which I do not use) to see if it would ‘wake up’ and refresh day-old washed hair. Unfortunately this made my hair look greasy, so that was a quick no-go. Third, I used a curl defining cream (MoroccanOil Curl Cream) and sprayed the Ouai, repeating the styling steps above, and gently blow drying after allowing my hair to air dry for about a half hour. This combination gave my hair very soft, natural-looking waves that I pulled up into a ponytail. This look lasted all day, through being out in the sun, heat, and misters. It was a style I have attempted before, but by the end of the day it is usually flat. This was encouraging! On my fourth and final attempt, I used the curl cream, repeated the original styling steps, and used a diffuser to blow dry my hair. This resulted in slightly defined waves that felt a little crispy, with an overall voluminous effect. Final Thoughts: This is not a product that I would use often, only due to the texture/thickness of my hair. Although it does provide some added volume, finding the right balance between full and crunchy is tricky. For someone who washes their hair 2-3x a week, this can be a tricky product to use. I have 2B hair, and a lot of it, but my hair texture is very fine, unlike many people with strong natural wave patterns. Curl creams tend to weigh down my hair, making it flat and greasy. Salt sprays are of course drying and damaging in the long term. But Ouai Wave Spray is the perfect product! It has the nourishment and definition which other people can get from the shea butter heavy creams, all in such an easy and light manner! I simply rake the spray through my hair and scrunch with it right out of the shower then use a medium-hold gel to maintain definition throughout the day. For reference, I have very long, curly and dry hair. Having curly hair, I don’t need that much help to show some waves so I use this product as a touch up. PROS – It controls the fizz on my hair. – It helps redefine my curls after several days since washing my hair. – It smells so good (in my opinion) so I love to spray it on my hair even just to enjoy the perfume. If you don’t like strong scents, stay away from this one. – The spray delivers the product very evenly. – Reasonably priced. – Cruelty free. CONS – It tends to dry my hair so it is a good option on these humid Florida summer days but I won’t be able to use it during the winter. I cannot use it everyday because of this reason. – I have curly hair so I don’t have volume issues so I cannot say if it adds volume.sara.a

Best used if you have ringlets as opposed to “kinky” or “wavy” hair (in which case maybe look at “Killer Waves” by KevinMurphy) I have very curly but normal thickness hair and I prefer to water it down a little. I bought Kevin Murphy products by suggestion of my stylist. I got the Smooth shampoo and conditioner. This is some of the worst shampoo and conditioner I've ever used. Herbal Essence smooths my hair more than these products! The shampoo and conditioner are so harsh are my curly hair, it is left dry and brittle after each time I've used it. My scalp is always itchy also. I use a wet brush in the shower to comb through the conditioner and detangle my hair, but it is a work out with this conditioner. There is no slip. After my hair dries it ends up severely tangled, knotted, and deprived of moisture. Not only are the products poor quality but the packaging is terrible. It's really hard to pop open the caps. I have had to unscrew the lids off every time to get product out. You also can't squeeze them much so that makes it difficult to use all of the product in the bottle as well. Lastly, the smell isn't very nice either. It's tolerable, but not preferable. I wish I could say there was anything redeeming about these products, especially since they were so expensive, but unfortunately these are a huge miss and I can't imagine why any salon is carrying them.Shannon

I love this this product! Finally something that does NOT make my hair more frizzy, crunchy, dry or greasy. I have fine to medium curly long hair, I am of Eastern European descent. I just use a very small amount like directions advised, worked it into my wet hair, scrunched it with my hands and let air dry. My hair is sooo soft, no frizz and my curls are defined. I have been searching for a natural product without chemicals that actually works. I love it! It also has a tropical fragrance that is not overwhelming and smells so good! I found this product yearssss ago when I first started the Curly Girl Method. It was very runny, white and much lighter. I ended up repurchasing it and when I opened it, it is incredibly yellow and thick and the ingredient list is completely different. I don't use it everyday to care but in general, Shea Moisture was my Go To absolutely favorite brand and I used their shampoo and conditioner for about 8 years- but I noticed it a couple of months ago stripped my hair and caused an insane amount of frizz. What a shame. I will never buy another Shea Moisture product. They used to have amazing ingredients, now they have all weird chemicals and the smells changed badly. I have very fine, high porosity (very absorbent), blonde curly hair. I don't have the best of luck with styling creams, some work and some weigh my hair down, some feel very crispy, some make my hair look instantly greasy. This stuff works! I wash and condition (sun bum regular or Pacifica pineapple curls) and then put a little of this styling cream into my wet but not sopping wet hair. Then I sleep on it and in the morning my hair is good to go. Nice natural looking and feeling curls that stay in. It detangles my hair also, which is great because the only time I dare brush my hair is right before a shower. Can't even use a pick on it, fingers only 😐Curly white girl

As someone who has stick straight hair, I love this product. A disclaimer, my hair is not capable of getting that cute scrunched look. If I want curls, heat is my only option. I shower, add the styling cream (smells amazing), air dry overnight, and then curl in the morning. This is the only product that I have used that will help my hair hold the curls in all weather and all day. I also use very minimal hairspray after curling. My hair is living her best life with this curl cream!! I've been Garnier-loyal for over 10 years, but after one use of this cream, I was sold. I have 3 different textures of hair: the front/sides are soft, tight spirals, the back is frizzy, tight spirals, and the underneath is soft and wavy at most. This curl cream brings out the best in all 3 textures and makes all of my hair wildly soft!! I've been a huge fan of Sun Bum for a few years now, so I was amped when I saw that they made special curly hair products! This costs about twice as much as my old curl cream, however, I use about 1/2 to 2/3 what I used to use, and my hair is 10 times as happy. Plus, I trust Sun Bum's commitment to loving the ocean, which is an important factor to consider when choosing your products. This conditioner is amazing! Of all the conditioners I’ve ever used (I’m in my 20’s so I’ve been through a looot of conditioners!) this one is by far the best. I don’t need a huge amount of it to get my hair untangled, and when I do brush through it I barely have any tangles at all. Okay, at first I was suspicious about this product because I really only knew Sun Bum for their sunscreen so I was a little confused seeing they did products for hair. But guys…this product is AMAZING. As someone who constantly buys products to help her curly hair, this has been a life changer. I bought this on a whim because I was like, what's the harm in another product supposedly for curly hair? Boy was I surprised!! I used to cowash because I was having such a hard time keeping my hair from getting frizzy but as a consequence my roots would get kinda greasy and sometimes my curls didn't look as hydrated as the cowash would advertise. Finallyyyyy I found a product that actually hydrates my hair, makes it look great curly, and isn't making it frizzy or puffy. The only con about this product is that I really really wish they made versions of this product in larger bottles because the conditioner tends to go quickly especially if you have long curly hair like me. My hair was in very bad shape, it was dry and frizzy looking. My curls were pretty much gone. I had it cut shorter and layered all over thinking that would fix it. It made the dry frizz look worse. I tried 10 different products but nothing helped until this little bottle of magic! I can not believe how great this texturizing cream works. My hair is cut to just above my shoulders, it's fine and thin. I put about half a dime size on towel dried hair, rub it between my hands and apply it to one side of my head roots to ends. I do the same for the other side, the top and the back. I kinda position it with my fingers, like where I want it parted and how much pushed back or forward. Then I use my damp towel and scrunch it into place. I have found that if I use my hands which are sticky from the product it pulls the outer hairs up and away from the rest and then it looks a bit frizzy. Now I either air dry or use my diffuser to dry from the bottom up. It's amazing how much it lifts my curls and it holds them all day. All bouncy, shiny and full without any frizz. If any area feels a little bit crunchy I use a tiny bit of It's A 10 between my fingertips to rub onto that area to soften the feel. It does not drop the curls at all. When I wake up, my curls are out of control. I wet my hands and scrunch my hair into place and it looks great until I shower later or until the next day. I'm in love with this product. I've used other TIGI products before over the years and they were all great. I just never tried a texturizing cream before. I thought it would weigh down my hair, but it did not. This has been part of my hair routine for years now. I have very fine curly hair, and this really helps to encourage the curls and define them. I only use a little (3 1/2 pumps on my just-past-shoulder-length hair) and I make sure my hair isn't too wet when I scrunch it through, because if it's too wet it makes the crunchy issue that some reviewers complained about. First of all, my bottle arrived and looks like it has been used and returned to merchant. The bottle seems to be broken as it doesn’t distribute the product like it is designed to do. It doesn’t do what you would expect. It doesn’t amplify and define curls. It’s more like a very light weight moose. As the hair dries, the product softens and your curls fall out. Once you put it in your hair, DO NOT use a comb or brush to distribute it. At most just your hands (fingers). And make sure hair is soaking wet (not damp) when you apply. Not so good for natural wavy curls but maybe if you have coily, bouncy curls it would work.JenM

Forgive me if I go into too many details about my haircare regimen, but I know the curly girls out there that need to know for this review. I use leave-in conditioner, curl cream/definer, followed by gel for my curls, then scrunch with serum once it's dry and set. I used the Pacifica Curl Definitely Defining cream as my second step product, and it worked well, better than other brands of similar price point. My hair had good definition and volume for a few days. But my real issue with it, is why does it come in such a small container. WHY?? Anyone who has curly hair knows they use a lot of product. I am always hesitant about curl creams and them being to heavy and weighing down my curls, but I absolutely love this one. I LOVE this hair cream!! I found it "by accident" when I was on vacation and forgot my hair gel. I bought a travel-sized one at the health food store there and was NOT disappointed! I was so excited to find a Pacifica product, as they are my favorite. I've been using the Salty Beach Waves hair balm for over 2 years, and now this Pineapple Swirl is right up there with it. I had to buy a regular size. I have a lot of curl in my hair and this really defines and amplifies the curls! It also cuts down the frizz. A little goes a long way, too! I love Living Proof products. Most don't fail to nourish and hydrate my hair. But I was skeptical about using the curl enhancer since I have loose wavy hair. On top of that, I’m not really a hair product person, in general. Like if I’m styling my hair, I’ll use a heat protectant and do a mask or treatment on occasion, but I don’t typically use a product post-shower on the reg. This was a game changer. My hair had waves I typically can only achieve after styling with a heat tool. And it looked super healthy and conditioned. The luster and luminescence are reminiscent of the efficacy of Kerastase products, which I j'dore. The fragrance is beautiful, similar to other Living Proof scents – light, clean, fresh. I don't like using a lot of product on my hair. This product works great for my minimalist style. I have fine hair that touches my shoulders and it's pretty thick. I towel dry slightly first and then rub about a pea size amount on my hands and rake it through my strands as it instructs and I add a tad more in the front since I start application in the back. Scrunch, dry the roots for a little volume and when it's completely dry I flip my head upside down and scrunch a little. It leaves my hair soft and defined and looks great all day. I've been using the Curl Enhancer and Curl Defining Gel for about three weeks. It took some trial and error, but I have finally figured out appropriate amounts to use, and my waves look amazing. My hair is soft, shiny, and defined, there is zero crunch (as long as the appropriate amount is used), and I've noticed significantly less breakage. I have very thick, coarse 2a/2b waves. My hair gets weighed down easily, my scalp is oil-prone, and my skin/scalp are very sensitive. Most curly products don't work for me or cause issues with my skin, but the Curl Enhancer hasn't caused any issues with these concerns! My skin is clear (no breakouts or irritation), my hair has volume and isn't weighed down, and my scalp/roots aren't an oily mess. The only problem I did have was figuring out how much to use. A little goes a long way, and using too much can result in buildup. The first time I used it, I used too much, a cast developed, and white particles went flying everywhere when I scrunched out the crunch (gross!). Trial and error fixed that, and I no longer have that issue. Overall, it was worth the hassle because I am very pleased with the results.Happy Camper

This used to be really good. My hairdresser used it on my hair once and it was so good I went out and bought my own. Loved it. Left my hair soft and completely frizz and flyaway free. I was so happy to find something weightless to achieve that and that felt like water on my hair instead of a heavy cream or serum. Then all of a sudden they decided to change the formula. Why did they have to do that?! The new formula had a strong smell and it actually created frizz in my hair, so bad that it lost all shape. Day 2 and 3 it started feeling stringy at the ends. I hated it. Now I’ll have to look for a new product to use that’ll hopefully give me the previous results. If they did this with their other products they’ll become the next DevaCurl. I have dirty blonde, thick, wavy, slightly frizzy hair, and I have never found a hair product that gave me soft, defined, frizz-free curls. This product gives me just that! I cannot believe that I finally found a product that leaves my hair soft and my curls defined. I was mesmerized by the results! Directions for use: After taking a shower, either towel dry, wring out, or air dry your hair until it is still wet, but not damp and full of water. Next, with a wide-tooth comb, brush hair so that there are no knots. Then, layer by layer, pick up pieces of your hair and spray thoroughly, making sure that you are spraying the sections where you want your curls/waves defined. I go ahead and spray my entire head of hair – BC IT'S JUST THAT GOOD! Comb through after spraying. After about 30 minutes to an hour, I go back and brush out my hair with the wide-tooth comb again, just to make sure my hair doesn't get crunchy. If you don't comb your hair again after spraying, your hair may end up more crunchy than you'd want; if you do comb it again, your hair will have no crisp, and it will be as soft as can be. I hope this is helpful!! I am just so happy that I found a hair product I love.SSimone

I have very naturally curly hair and have tried an extremely wide variety of products and brands over the years. I was very skeptical with this one claiming to be all products in one, but it truly is. I couldn’t believe what my hair looked like when all I did was spray it in, comb it through, and let air dry. Because it is light it does not weigh my curls down and my hair dries quicker as well because I’m not using heavier styling creams or gels. I’m really pleased with this product. I even love the removable lock on the sprayer so you can take it with you without any mess. Where they could improve is the shape of the bottle. The rectangle is not the easiest to handle. I had high hopes for this product because I genuinely love all the other tea tree products from Paul Mitchell. I didn't realize that one of the ingredients had apricot in it. This is my mistake, I own up to it. I should have just read the label before applying it but i was so excited, i had completely forgotten to until my scalp started getting itchy. I’m a 62 yr old woman with naturally curly hair past my waist. My hair, not extensions. I don’t blow-dry my hair or use curling implements. Every once in a long while (like 5years) I will use my ceramic flat iron just to have a different look for an occasion. But I’m a wash-and-wear woman. I live in Florida, and had not yet found a product that kept my hair from frizzing. I’ve used PM products in the past and liked them. Especially the Super Skinny Serum. So when I came across this product at a salon I decided to give it a try. It keeps my hair smooth without weighing down the curls. Once dry it can be a bit “crunchy” like a lot of leave in products. But i’ve found that gently scrunching my dry curls breaks it up, and leaves my hair soft, shiny, and curly. Unfortunately, as with other reviewers, I find small chunks of white in my hair after applying, even with pumping it into one of my palms and then vigorously rubbing my palms together to warm and emulsify the product. With as much hair as I have, combing through my wet curls and picking out the chunks is tedious. Will it keep me from using the product? Doubtful. Simply because it really makes my hair look lovely. However I may have to resort to using it only for special occasions, until the problem is solved.Wash&Wear Woman

I have 2c mid back length hair. I tried this product alone without any other products. It smelled good while applying but left no other scent once dry. I scrunched this in and allowed to air dry. Once my hair was completely dry there was no defined curls. It wasn't crunchy. It seemed to weigh my hair down. I tried using less the next time and still no results I was looking for. There was less frizz but no definition. Maybe as a frizz tamer but not for definitionRumple

I absolutely love this! I've tried many curly/wavy hair products by Paul Mitchell, Kenra, OUI and a few others and this one by far takes the cake. It smells great as well. I use it after I get out of the shower on damp hair and it takes away any frizz and leaves my hair so much fuller looking. I even have closer to wavy hair and this turns my waves into beautiful crunch! If you use too much product it kinda seems like it might leave a crunch but I just kinda brush it through with my hands and it's fine. Can't give this product anymore better praise!!!!!! I have used Sebastian products for years and love them. Potion 9 has always been a go-to for my straight and naturally curly hair but it can leave the hair a little crunchy if you don't like to scrunch your hair. This curl cream settles my frizz and defines my curls very well no matter where I travel. I love that my hair feels soft after using it. I find the product does not pair well with some conditioners so even with my naturally drier hair I use it after sulfate-free shampooing without conditioner and my hair is still well-moisturized. I have sensitive skin so I try to keep it away from my roots near my face because the shea butter will start coming onto my face over time. I tend to break out easily with hair products containing butters and oils but this cream keeps my skin under control (more than 95% of the time) even if I get it some on my face… I tend to not sleep with my hair covered too!Mav2201

I love all Sebastian Twisted products. I have thin, tight curly hair, so most things are too heavy. I have never found a cream or line of products that works like these ones do. I only wish Ulta carried all their other products! Hair is soft, not frizzy (and I live in FL). Also great to put on hair after it's been in a pony tail and it helps redefine the curls.JMW

The Good: I've been using this stuff for a few years now, I really enjoy the way it makes my hair feel after I use it. My hair is naturally very curly, yet it's on the finer side and also become very frizzy especially from the natural elements (rain, humidity, etc). I use this product on days when I don't feel like styling my hair but I still want my natural curls to come out looking like their fresh, nice and tamed. This product is fantastic because it does not dry down crunchy whatsoever and the gel feels very light-weight on the hair, which is great because out mousse/gel products tend to weigh down fine hair and can be easily overdone. I use this both on wet and dry hair depending on what stage of getting ready I am at during that time. I find it has the best effect on damp hair. I do not use this in my roots, I mostly apply it to the bottom 70% of my hair and if applying wet, I will also brush out my hair with it in. When applying dry I simply "scrunch" it and smooth it through my hair and it really helps bring about a lovely ooomph to my natural curls. It also helps with frizziness and instantly smooths out my hair, I've reached for this many times during humid days because it really helps my curls not frizz up in the future. I start smaller and apply more as needed. I found that I don't need a whole bunch of product to make this work well and I'd rather apply more later than apply too much all at once. The Bad: Oh boy is this formula STICKY and SLIMY. Honestly this is a very unique feeling gel during application that I have not experienced in other products and I know that I certainly cannot wait to wash it off of my hands after using it. The packaging could also be better as the formula sticks to the top of the tube and creates a dried "slime" and the cap is easily snappable due to the very thin plastic attaching it to the bottle. Really nice gel, I use it for scrunching and for refreshing my curls. I’d say it’s light hold – it does dry to a light cast but easy to scrunch out and helps with definition. Thin consistency so it’s easy to distribute and it’s great for curl glazing. Works really well with the Amika curl corps defining cream. I have thick 2c low porosity curls for reference.Carrie

This product is absolutely the best thing for my hair. Best used if you have ringlets as opposed to “kinky” or “wavy” hair (in which case maybe look at “Killer Waves” by KevinMurphy) I have very curly but normal thickness hair and I prefer to water it down a little. Not only does it mean the product disperses through my texture better but it also lasts longer!Aimee

I bought Kevin Murphy products by suggestion of my stylist. I got the Smooth shampoo and conditioner. This is some of the worst shampoo and conditioner I've ever used. Herbal Essence smooths my hair more than these products! The shampoo and conditioner are so harsh are my curly hair, it is left dry and brittle after each time I've used it. My scalp is always itchy also. I use a wet brush in the shower to comb through the conditioner and detangle my hair, but it is a work out with this conditioner. There is no slip. After my hair dries it ends up severely tangled, knotted, and deprived of moisture. Not only are the products poor quality but the packaging is terrible. It's really hard to pop open the caps. I have had to unscrew the lids off every time to get product out. You also can't squeeze them much so that makes it difficult to use all of the product in the bottle as well. Lastly, the smell isn't very nice either. It's tolerable, but not preferable. I wish I could say there was anything redeeming about these products, especially since they were so expensive, but unfortunately these are a huge miss and I can't imagine why any salon is carrying them.Shannon

I live in New Mexico, (Albuquerque), and we have negative-zero humidity here, and hard water. So that poses some serious challenges when it comes to keeping my hair hydrated, bouncy and supple. HOWEVER: Be-Curly left my hair super FRIZZY and FLAT. LIFELESS. It looks charred. Burned. I have been using the Sap Moss Shampoo and Conditioner, and i absolutely love what it's been doing for my hair out here, on the high desert. BUT when i incorported BeCurly, it drained the life out of my hair. Please tell me, how it's possible to have frizzy hair with zero humidity. I'll tell you how— it's this BeCurly formula– it dried out my hair. Took out all the mouisture and conditioning that the Sap Moss shampoo and conditioner had put in. What a waste of money and effort. And the Aveda return process is too annoying for me. I can't find my packing slip, and I REFUSE TO PAY FOR RETURN SHPPING COSTS on something that has failed me so completely. I would give it a half star, to be honest. Not even worth a full star.slenderbutter

Use a lot of product and air dry- greasy looking, weighed down hair. Use the diffuser- a little better for the first hour and then- frizz or greasy looking. Too much money to spend on a product with a nice scent (yes, very nice fragrance and it lasts all day) which doesn't hold a curl or prevent a mass of frizz. Probably a good product for someone with moderate wave that wants some control, but it is not a product for thick curly hair.Beachygurl

I didn’t think it work work for me bc I only have a slight wave on my hair and besides I wasn’t seeking to define curls as such. But what I have desperately wanted for years is an affordable leave in conditioner with added keratin for my long blonde hair with highlights. Who knew I’d hit the jackpot by trying this curl enhancer. The ends, sides and fringe are the areas I target before I blow dry and straighten, I get even better results if I have time for my hair to partly dry naturally before stylings The large tube will last ages because you only need a small amount. Well worth the price. Hairs feels so soft and smells beautiful. So happy!JulieandKarl

I am about 1 year into my CGM journey, and at this point – I rarely find products that work as well as my hair's natural oils. Even though I try to avoid shampoo, when I do use it (before hot tools or after about 3-4 weeks of conditioner rinses) I need to add a bit of moisture to make up for what I've rid my curls of. I tried this product after a wash day. It is one of the only products I've tried recently that actually feels natural in my hair. It helps to define curls and rid frizz. It dries with a light cast, but just enough for my hair to clump not enough to leave a waxy/dry texture like other competing products. I rarely feel comfortable using only one product. It's either a natural look sans products, or a mix of products (leave-in, oil, cream, maybe gel and spray etc., Depending on the style). This product is a mix of both worlds; leaves my hair natural looking without being too fluffy, yet offers enough moisture and oil for clumping without being heavy. Love the shine it adds. Ouai Curl Crème saves time for me since it's a cream + oil + hydrator + styling product. Great for traveling with. Easy to refresh dry hair with or style wet hair with. The scent is so luxuriously floral yet sweet, the packaging looks elegantly simple, and the bit about the "ex" on the packaging gave me a good chuckle. Ouai Curl Crème has my curls screaming, "oui, oui!" I have natural roots, ends relaxed and dyed (damaged), mix of curl textures (2b-3c), long length. Great on my husband's beard, 2a hair, and my son's 2b-3a hair. My hair is high density, low porosity.Amber

This product is clearly a creme that is not shy to define, and give your hair a subtle yet noticeable shine. IMMEDIATELY after drenching my hair in water, and applying the product, I barely had to touch my hair, and the definition was VERY apparent. Y'all, when I say, I was shook… I have never in all of my 21 years of life had a product instantly define my hair upon application. I barely had to finger comb. It for sure provides a nice element of moisture as well, and I find that the more I've used it these past couple of weeks, the softer my hair is getting. I'm not 100% sure if it's this product, or some of the other products that I've been using in my hair for the time being, but I do know that this is clearly the moisture and defining agent in the squad of hair products I've been using. This product has chia & linseed oil, babassu oil, and coconut oil in it, which are clearly carrying the product and running so that it doesn't even have to jog on it's own. Babassu oil is known as an oil that promotes high moisture retention, which seals the moisture into your hair shaft (ideal for high porosity hair types), and you know lack of moisture retaining products in your haircare routine is one of the #1 causes for breakage. Chia seeds are rich in fatty acids which work to not only penetrate your hair shaft (great for low porosity hair types), but seal in the moisture as well. Linseed oil is the same as flaxseed oil, which is high in vitamin E, and not only treats hair loss, but promotes growth. For my dry scalp peeps, flaxseed oil also can be used to prevent dandruff, and can provide relief. If you have damaged hair, or chemically processed hair, this is very ideal, since it has great moisture retaining properties, and it seals damaged cuticles. My only con is that I have been noticing slight flaking on certain occasions, but that happens with whenever a bad combo of products is mixed. I highly recommend!Jaylynn THEE Lively Waterfall

I have pretty curly hair but it's very fine and I was worried this cream would be too heavy but that is not the case at all! I use this on my hair while it's wet by section with a denman brush and my curls look incredible. if you diffuse, it creates a great mask for the curls that you can brush out after. my curls seriously last 3 days through workouts, sleep (I plop/pineapple my hair without a bonnet and they stay!) DC humidity, all of it. I use it with the OUAI medium shampoo and conditoner, and it's smells great! not perfumy or overwhelming. cannot recommend this more! in my pictures the one in the green shirt is day 3 curls, the other one is day one.larklewis
