The only thing I can say is you should definitely get a higher quality wax because the wax it comes with it seems very cheap and it didn’t really get my hair up it was just very patchy it wouldn’t come off in a single strip which if you get a higher quality wax it will do. Set temperature to High for 30-45 minutes until wax takes on a thin/creamy consistency, then set the temperature to Low for the rest of the day. 3. This wax is dangerously good, like it's dangerous but it's also very good. THIS WAX IS NOT A BEGINNER PRODUCT. (I was introduced to hard wax from getting waxed professionally.) This was my first time using hard wax and I had to try it a couple times before getting the hang of it. But I'd seen/had it done before in person and I knew not to put boiling hot wax on my skin. Now it's way quicker, more effective, and more versatile than honey was, which sometimes doesn't stick depending on your skin–i.e. oily, sweaty, hormones, etc. The key is temperature–too hot and you burn yourself, too cold and it is a sticky the mess that ironically doesn't grab very well–and thickness of the strip–if it's too thin the wax will become one with your skin and be very difficult to remove, and if it's too thick it's wastes a lot and may not grab very well. It's basically hot glue for your skin. Literally if you've ever crafted or used a glue gun, the wax acts just like hot glue. It's also more high maintenance that honey wax because the metal container can't be heated in the microwave and you have to buy the wax dissolver/remover product separately. This is an amazing wax, especially for Brazilians! The negative comments are clearly made by people who have no idea what they are doing, or the patience to learn. Your not going to nail it like a salon the first time you do it yourself! You'll quickly learn what consistency you need and the best way to apply everyone is different. It has a good timeframe for workability, so your leaving it on entirely too long if it's breaking apart, slowly pull it, if it stretches easily or has liquify spots you can see or feel let it sit a few seconds longer. Do t wait till it's cooled all the way of your going to cuss yourself picking and ripping every little piece of hair off at that point. Like I said a little patience and your going to save yourself a ton of money. It's convenient and the wax itself works amazing! It's easy to use and it works! But the Floral hard wax is good, too. I'll write some tips that will help you with this. 2. So easy to spread. While many complained about how it doesn't get hard enough, I think they've missed out a fantastic trait. It is so much easier to spread! I tried using the brazilian hard wax on my legs and hands, and ended up using LOTS of wax because it hardens very quickly, so the spreadability isn't good. I had ro do it for 200 seconds so it could even melt. One applied it dries supper quick which wouldn't be a problem if it was only on the skin. I have been waxing my eyebrows for about a year and a half, and I had been using the same clean+easy microwaveable wax since the start. Last time I went to buy it was sold out, so I turned to this for an alternative…. I definitely regret that. It's nice that this kit comes with so much, but it's not so nice when the actual wax doesn't do anything. 1st the "ready" stick that tells you when the wax is ready to use does not work at all, every single time the stick would say ready when the wax wasn't even warm when you touched it, and it wouldn't slide on with application, it's would just clump and fall off without getting any hair. But, even when you do use the wax at a warmer texture, it never hardens, so pulling it off is incredibly hard and it barely pulls out any hair. One of the worst parts of waxing at home is anticipating the pain when you rip the wax off. Having grown up in salons I am pretty much an expert at waxing at home. However you shouldn’t probably wax at home if you aren’t confident with your skill set. you have to heat this up without overheating it so you don’t burn your skin and you have a small window once it is the right temperature to apply it before it solidifies again. Definitely make sure you read the instructions for the application of the wax! And use the cream for after waxing to reduce red bumps or ingrown hairs. I wanna start with the things I liked. I love the mini travel sized products, especially the slow grow. The only one I didn't like was the prepping oil for hard wax, but the pre hon is still great and the wax off smells wonderful while soothing the skin nicely. Now with what I didn't like. I can wholeheartedly classify this as the worst hard wax I think I've ever tried, I've never been a huge fan of GiGi but at least their other waxes can be pretty usable meanwhile this stuff is a hot mess. I'm glad I used this on my legs instead of around my pubic area. My main complaint is that no matter how thick or thin you make your strips, no matter how wide or narrow, it never rips off in one piece and I ended up getting a bunch of the wax stuck to my skin that I needed to go back and clean up. This usually can happen but it was always big pieces. I even used the pre hon and prep oil for hard wax before I started waxing and it didn't seem to help. The sad thing is I've been professionally trained to wax so I know I'm not just applying it wrong. The formula just sucks. I will also add that it smells pretty bad in my opinion, its like if someone wanted to make wet cardboard smell faintly of mint. I've never hated a wax so much, can't recommend.Skittles

This was my first time ever using hard wax so take this review with a grain of salt, because my lack of experience definitely contributed to this. But I would 100% say DO NOT buy this if you are looking for something to use on your legs or other large areas. Only buy this if you want to use it on your face, underarms, bikini line, etc. There is simply not enough wax for your legs, as I found out about half way through one leg. I only ended up being able to (somewhat) wax both of my calves and underarms before I was completely out of wax. Before I started, I watched video after video about prep and application, so I thought I was prepared. But when used on my legs, the wax broke off into pieces every single time. This left me with a LOT of hair still on my legs, and most of the hair that was taken off was just broken and not pulled from the root (you might as well shave). It was very effective on my underarms though which is why I think small areas are best because (A) you will have enough wax, and (B) the temperature will keep for long enough to wax a small area. Its very difficult to get the right temperature and consistency with the wax because you're heating it in a microwave. Another thing is that the Wax Off cream didn't work on me at all. But if you use any sort of oil you should be able to scrape off any excess wax stuck to your skin. So overall, it's ok – but for small areas ONLY.MW

I honestly don't know what I expected. It was extremely painful, more than any other waxing I've had before. There's also a specific time frame that you have to take off the wax and if it is exceeded, the wax isn't coming off. So, basically, don't waste the time and energy purchasing this product.AD

I’ve been using this for years. It’s messy & it needs to be heat up constantly. The most recent one that I bought was super sticky straight from the jar & not solid, which was the first red flag. I heated it up and applied it once it was the proper consistency, but it never dried. I had to scrape most of it off of my skin before I could use baby oil. I have been using this product since probably 2014/2015 and never had problems. It works very well and I've definitely gotten much better at controlling it over the years. The reviews that you are reading are clearly from newbies who have no idea what they're doing and are blaming the product. A few even mistook it for hard wax. It's NOT! If you have the patience to learn to wax yourself, then you won't have problems w this. I genuinely believe any problems I've had w this product over the years have all been because of ME! I primarily wax my upper lip, and had been using the regular amber-colored honee before I decided to try something new (that stuff was pretty harsh on my face and would regularly take layers of skin off, despite my doing everything correctly–and yes, I even used baby powder). I didn't realize when I bought this that I wouldn't have to use strips anymore. Boy, what a relief! I don't feel like it does THAT great of a job at picking up fine hair on my upper lip (I wax consistently about every two weeks, so the hair has gotten pretty fine in that area), and it's kind of frustrating to have to go over it multiple times, but this wax is WAY gentler on my face than the other stuff, and I've even started doing my underarms and the finer hairs on my face beside my ears. I figured out through trial and error that this wax works best if you apply a liberal coat in the area you're pulling up hair, and it's easiest to accomplish that when you're using a fat popsicle stick, especially in larger areas. Didn't know until reading the reviews that you're only supposed to wait 30 seconds to pull it up, while it's still tacky. That would explain why it's been so painful doing my underarms. Haha. I sincerely recommend this wax to anyone in the market for it. Try looking up YouTube videos on "hard wax application and removal" if you're new to the game and need a few pointers to get you started.

The fabric strips mold to your face so they don’t wrinkle causing the wax to fold and making the pull off painful. One box costs me less than getting my upper lip threaded or waxed. One strip is enough for my upper lip. Considering there is 12 double sided strips in a box, this Can last me 12 lip waxes which saves me almost $60 from a salon. I love these. When using them, if your skin is sensitive, or you’re nervous, put a light coat of powder in the spot you’re going to wax first and test a small spot before going all in. Rub them between your hands until they are warmer and softer, but still take a little pulling to get apart. For my eyebrows, I draw a line to match my brow line and cut the strip so that it fits easier and I can get more hair without being scared it will take the whole brow off. I use the scraps for between the brows. I wish they gave us more of the wipes to get the wax off, but you can use any oil you have on hand on a napkin once you run out. Be sure to smooth them down with pressure in the direction of the hair, then rip them off in the opposite direction— against the grain if you will. Just put the strip between your hands and rub back and forth quickly, building up heat by friction. I do this for about one minute. The wax will be on both sides when you part the strip. The people that harmed their skin may have left the strip on too long; the ones that did not have much hair removed, may have not pressed the strip enough before waxing. You just press firmly and strip. It also comes with some calming pads. Feels so nice and makes the skin soft. I love this product! I was skeptical of using this type of wax, as I had never used hard wax before. Always the soft wax with strips. Let me just say it takes some getting use to, but not too bad. I gave myself a bikini/Brazilian wax once with the soft wax and sorry for the TMI, but right above my cl*it I had a tuft of hair that I could not get, ended up with a landing strip, as I coudn't get the hair off as the soft wax I was using was just not made for that. When I bought this and did the bikini/Brazilian NO LIE this stuff got the tuft of HAIR!!! AMAZING!!! I could see the roots on all the hairs that got pulled out! I wish they made bigger bags! I got spoiled by using this wax first. I got a couple of others to try formulas, and this is hands down the best there is. A thin coat is all that's necessary. Hardens quickly, and stays in one solid piece. Does not crumble or break apart. Does not reheat when in contact with skin. Soothing formula for my very sensitive skin – even used it on my face. I'm listing things I hate about the others now that I've used this! So easy to work with. Melts quickly and evenly, and it's a SUPER PRETTY deep blue pearl hue. I absolutely love this wax. This new version is perfect! I use it for bikini line waxing so this review is based on waxing that area. It's sooo much better than the previous version of these strips. The new formulation gets all hairs off first time. I had no sensitivity. Absolutely perfect. A tip for first-time users: yes, this is a pretty tightly gripping wax strip, so you do have to rip it off literally as quickly as you can (quicker than their previous strips) so you'll get all the wax off with no pain or residue. This comes naturally to me since I've been waxing so many years, but new users unfamiliar with these strips will need to be faster and grip tighter on removal than with other brands. So long as you do that, it's fine. The massive bonus is that it gets all the hairs with it, which the previous version of the strips (and other brands) don't do – I could literally not find any other strip that handles coarse bikini line hair as well as this Sally Hansen one. My skin was fine after using this, no redness etc. I did NOT use the numbing wipes as I don't generally get any pain and I just didn't want to add a chemical to my skin. I love these straps and have used these for years. I hate to have the need, but my facial hair is dark and I feel so much more confident when I'm not rocking a lady stash. One warning though, don't go over the same area more than once. Does exactly what it says it will do. I did have the bottle of Pre-epilation oil leak a little it the box, but only a few drops. Not so much that I was dissatisfied. Didn't really use it anyway. There is a learning curve to this. I received my order today and couldn't wait to try it out. I was tired of the shaving and I like to be really clean down there. It does take longer than any 45 minutes as the instructions say. It was about 1-1/2 hours to get it to the right consistency. You have to realize that you are heating up a lot of wax. Now, remember, this is the first time that I had ever done this. You need to make sure that you have about a 1/8 inch layer for it to work right. Yes, there is a little pain when you pull it off, but it subsides quickly and yes, there was the appearance of what looked like diaper rash. As I write this, it has been almost a half hour since I finished and the rash is gone. I did use the post wax cooling gel and it felt amazing. Would post pictures, but I don't imagine they would be accepted. Will never shave down there again. I would definitely recommend this to someone that is interested in this procedure. JohnJohn

The hard wax, which does not require strips, is convenient and minimally painful. I would say that epilators and regular wax are more than twice as painful as this system. Must apply oil first or the wax will not come off your skin. Feel free to use other oils when the small GiGi bottle runs out. I've used almond, coconut, and tea tree and they all work the same. The oil acts as a barrier between the wax and you skin which prevents the painful pulling of your skin. Comes off very smoothly and pulls hair only. Very effective in only removing the hair. Can be used just about anywhere on your body. I usually use an epilator for my underarms (very painful) but when I tried this the first time I barely felt it and it removed 99% of the hair the first time! Make sure to try the wax on the back of your OILED hand to make sure it is not too hot before you apply it to a sensitive area. Then apply to the area you are waxing with a stick that is provided. Apply in the direction of hair growth in the shape of a strip. Apply pressure with your hand after removal. The heater is far more convenient than a microwave and far easier than the strips you warm by rubbing your hands together. Just plug in while you shower and it should be ready when you get out. Maybe 20-30 min heat time with the brown heater lid on. After multiple uses when the wax is full of hair just replace lid on can and discard. New cans are about $11 online. I've only used this wax once, but so far, it's the worst wax I've ever used. Did not apply well at all, didn't stick to really any hair, and was SUPER brittle when removing. It just broke into pieces rather than peeling off smoothly in a strip. I have the at home wax heater. This saves me a lot of money to wax myself at home instead of a salon. It is us easy to use. It takes a bit of a learning curve and proper technique to get the hang of it. However once you learn how to wax properly, it is was better to do this yourself. No appointments, no waiting, and no awkward feelings when you are getting intimate areas waxed. GiGi is the best at home hair wax removal in my opinion. 10 out of 10. Just tried this wax for my legs and it was the worst wax I've ever used. This wax does not grip hairs very well. I found myself having to repeatedly wax over the same areas twice, and I STILL have tons of stray hairs that weren't pulled out. I also had a hard time getting this wax to a comfortable temperature. I have no idea why, but it seemed to either feel too hot or it was too stiff to apply effectively when it was at a comfortable temperature. Terrible wax. Don't waste your time and money. I threw out the remainder of this wax.

No pain afterwards. Wax warmer works well. I usually turn it on low to get the slightly warm temperature and to have the wax melt almost soft taffy-like, not watery. Helps get the right amount of wax on the wooden spatula you need for the area you’re doing. Also helps you to peel off the wax better in one strip. Does exactly what it says it will do. I did have the bottle of Pre-epilation oil leak a little it the box, but only a few drops. Not so much that I was dissatisfied. Didn't really use it anyway. There is a learning curve to this. I received my order today and couldn't wait to try it out. I was tired of the shaving and I like to be really clean down there. It does take longer than any 45 minutes as the instructions say. It was about 1-1/2 hours to get it to the right consistency. You have to realize that you are heating up a lot of wax. Now, remember, this is the first time that I had ever done this. You need to make sure that you have about a 1/8 inch layer for it to work right. Yes, there is a little pain when you pull it off, but it subsides quickly and yes, there was the appearance of what looked like diaper rash. As I write this, it has been almost a half hour since I finished and the rash is gone. I did use the post wax cooling gel and it felt amazing. Would post pictures, but I don't imagine they would be accepted. Will never shave down there again. I would definitely recommend this to someone that is interested in this procedure. JohnJohn

The hard wax, which does not require strips, is convenient and minimally painful. I would say that epilators and regular wax are more than twice as painful as this system. Must apply oil first or the wax will not come off your skin. Feel free to use other oils when the small GiGi bottle runs out. I've used almond, coconut, and tea tree and they all work the same. The oil acts as a barrier between the wax and you skin which prevents the painful pulling of your skin. Comes off very smoothly and pulls hair only. Very effective in only removing the hair. Can be used just about anywhere on your body. I usually use an epilator for my underarms (very painful) but when I tried this the first time I barely felt it and it removed 99% of the hair the first time! Make sure to try the wax on the back of your OILED hand to make sure it is not too hot before you apply it to a sensitive area. Then apply to the area you are waxing with a stick that is provided. Apply in the direction of hair growth in the shape of a strip. Apply pressure with your hand after removal. The heater is far more convenient than a microwave and far easier than the strips you warm by rubbing your hands together. Just plug in while you shower and it should be ready when you get out. Maybe 20-30 min heat time with the brown heater lid on. After multiple uses when the wax is full of hair just replace lid on can and discard. New cans are about $11 online. This was one of the quickest wax's I've ever done & I've tried every wax hair removal under the sun. I did my lower legs in less than 10 minutes I kid you not. I knew I had to run to the reviews to tell you all. If you follow the directions to a T, you'll be set. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 is due to the fact that there isn't not enough wax. I did both my lower legs & I used more than half. If you were run out of wax mid way, you'd need to heat up another wax for another 45 minutes. So as long as you got time, you're good to go. It also can be very sticky but that's how all the All Purpose Honee consistency is but nothing a little oil can't help!Zay

it's not so bad of a product. If you are a smaller person with fine to lightly coarse hair then this is a perfect product for you. I on the other hand have coarse hair and a lot of body area to cover so this wasn't nearly enough to get the job done. One cartridge covered one and a quarter legs. I had to shave the rest of the way. I did like this and I will do it again however I will need a lot of wax on hand because this does take a lot since there's not a lot of product.arbi
