So I bought the platinum lace toner to blend into my already white blonde hair with dark roots, and hopefully tone down the yellowing that was accruing. I followed the directions to a T provided to me by the sales women that helped me out…well the out come wasn’t what I was expecting at all.my hair turned silver gray( very dark) and I mean a lot. so if you are really light blonde or bleach blonde I don’t recommend using this product unless your trying to achieve gray silver hair. I totally wasn’t excepting that to happen at all specially since the women assured me that is would work just wonderfully with my hair. I had fun fantasy colors for quite sometime but wanted something simple that I've not done before. I came across this toner while searching for something to cover the yellow/orange I had after removing my color. This definitely did the job and left me with such a beautiful sandy blonde. I used this on level 9/10 blonde hair that I wanted to be more platinum/white toned. After I finished the first section of hair, it started turning a dark gray, which became more pronounced as I finished apply to the rest of my hair. This looked darker than I thought it should have so I washed it out pretty much immediately after I finished applying. It made the lighter parts of my hair a blue based gray and made my hair feel extremely damaged compared to other toners and demi-permanent dyes I have used to tone (such as Wella t14/t18 and Wella demi-permanent). At worst, I expected this toner to not do anything, not to make my hair super gray. I decided to throw some purple semi-permanent dye on my hair after that because it felt too damaged to bleach again. You can see the before and after of this product below. It looked worse in person.

So far the best Purple Shampoo I've found. I have not used it long but My hair shines and actually feels thicker and softer. It hasn't really taken out all my brassiness yet but maybe after a few more uses it will. I am transitioning from medium brown colored treated hair to my natural white/grey hair that I'm letting grow out. It is very fine so my hairdresser didn't want to bleach it anymore for fear of damaging it more to get the orange and yellow tone out of it. She just highlighted down to blendable with my natural white/grey hair. That is probably why not all the brassiness is coming out with the Purple Shampoo. So my hair was damaged from bad salon experience and left there with blonde hair alright but also alotta my hair falling out too…. More than I should’ve had. I’ve had it done before I know what’s normal and not for this process but it Has taken me months and months to regain some of the structure and strength back but only from using products like this. I have huge blonde hair care regiment but recently was sent this samples from Pinchme.com and I fell in love with this product the moroccanoil blonde perfecting shampoo and conditioner color care. I could tell after one use the different in my strands as far as they felt fuller softer and a lot stronger too. I have already purchased my own and is in its way in the mail as we speak. But I can’t say enough about the shampoo seriously the strength added to my hair after using and the toning feature was amazing. I have different depths of blonde and I felt that this made those lighter money pieces that perfect icy I’ve been looking for + strengthening in other product and only found here. Others I have to use separate product .. with moraccanoil u get it all in one tube!! Smell is beautiful the product color is rich purple and it won’t leave ur hair heavy or with residue. But clean and healthy feeling. I used as shampoo then rinsed … swueeze out all water from hair with hands and reapply from front hair line back to ur ends and massage thru without sudsing up the product and leave set for 10/15 minutes depending on how porous ur hair is. (Do this for more toning effect) Mines was needing toned again and is pretty porous so I left in longer… but not too long. Anyhow I’d recommend to anyone who has chemically treated and or damaged hair needing give it some TLC. Price is fair considering other brand and they dint work as well as this one trust me.. I’ve wasted a lot of money trying to find the right ones to maintain my blond locks!! Also I left my conditioner in for about 5minutes too. But my hair is very dry of course. I think this is the combo for me! Today is my first day using the Moroccanoil Purple Shampoo and the Moroccanoil Purple Conditioner, and here's my thoughts: Both the shampoo and conditioner have a rich purple color, which is nice since most conditioners I've tried in the past are much lighter in color compared to their shampoo counterpart. Both smell really nice, too. I left the shampoo in for about 5 minutes, rinsed, and then I left the conditioner in for probably 5+ minutes before I rinsed with cold water. This is the best toning combination I've ever tried. After one use, I can definitely tell the difference in less brassiness. I wouldn't recommend leaving both products in as long as I did, however – I purposely did so to see if I could get a dramatic result, and a few strands have a very light violet/gray tone to them, which I love! I will definitely be buying both the shampoo and conditioner soon since I think both will help keep my hair healthy and a nice shade of blondechopper923
It has got rich, creamy and lathering texture, don’t need to use a lot of product and it lathers through the hair well. The colour is brightly deep purple and pigmented. The scent feels a bit strong during washing but after washing and through the day hair smell nice, refreshed and fragrance is mild. After washing hair is easy to brush but once hair is dry combing is a bit harder, hair feels dry and like straws therefore it causes some hair breakage. There is much difference in hair tone, hair looks much brighter, shiner, radiant, lighter and improved in colour. On the second day hair still feels clean and fresh in scent, however I have noticed that this shampoo dries out hair and strips off it’s natural moisture. Another minus for this product that it stains under nails and some dry skin areas which takes time to wash off. I would not use this product frequently but occasionally (once a week or once in two weeks). But I would definitely recommend for colour improvement, brightening and lightening dullness in colour.irina.g

I honestly don't know if the product works because I had to re-condition my hair with another product to try to get the awful smell out of my hair. The fragrance smells like old man/ dead animal. It was not designed for a woman who is the main user of this product. Maybe a few men might like the old man / dead animal smell, but it is not marketed for men. I've been bleaching my hairs for years and have tried countless brands of purple shampoo. I've been told by my hairdresser that sulfates strip toner and to avoid shampoos with that ingredient. I noticed this shampoo had sulfates but I went ahead and tried it anyway because of all the good reviews. I've used it 3 times since my last bleach and tone, and my hair is A LOT more yellow than my appointment. I noticed after the first wash that my hair looked a little worse but I decided to try to keep using it and my toner literally vanished before my eyes. I definitely recommend a shampoo without sulfates (Joico is one example). This shampoo also dries out your hair causing it to build up grease not even 24 hours after showering. Made my hair nice when applied, thought everything was great. Beautiful lather….. then I wash it out. My hair felt so gummy it literally scared me. The product didn't really do anything for my hair. Will be returning. I have used the "Total Results So Silver Triple Power Hair Mask". It works great didn't dry my hair out at all. I try to stay away from Parabens, Silicones & Sulfates. This is a great leave in! definently detangles, however, I wouldn't use this on its own. I have to use a ton of water ,but it does what is says. Not for thicker hair types. If you have a lot of hair, you will run out of this product. I have type 4a mid length hair , but, I dont have a thick hair density. Therefore it works great! I usually use L’Oréal’s Elvive purple shampoo so it was interesting to try the brands more expensive line. . . Unlike other purple shampoos this one had a more chemically smell. I also found my hair felt quite dry after using it and it was quite difficult to brush. I do love the tone it’s given my blonde hair, a nice silvery tone. I would have liked to try it with the conditioner to see if that improved the dryness of the shampoo but I can’t complain. Overall I’m happy with the outcome from using this shampoo, just a shame it’s so drying.
This is the best purple shampoo I have ever used. I find a lot of other purple shampoos on the market to be incredibly drying for the hair and staining. This is wonderful. I was so keen to try this product as I wanted a sulphate free shampoo to help define my naturally wavy/curly hair. After the first wash I instantly saw results with less frizz and more curls! But after the second wash my hair didn’t feel clean as the shampoo really struggles to lather up to cover the whole scalp. I was having to shampoo twice and used a lot of product. I then felt I had to wash my hair after a couple of days as it felt really dirty and greasy with a build up of product, I have thick hair and would usually wash my hair twice a week so had to go back to my old shampoo. I also used with the curl conditioner and styling crème which were great and work really well and I have kept using them. If they make some changes to this product then I’ll definitely come back to it.Emily

No matter what other products I may cycle through, I use this every time I wash my hair and always have backups on hand! I'm a natural golden blonde, but my new growth can get dull in the winter when not exposed to sunlight as often, or with general buildup that we all get on our hair. This effectively cleanses my hair without making it feel stripped, while also providing juuuust the tiniest bit of extra lightening every wash! Pro tip: only the shampoo in this line contains an actual chemical lightening agent, not the conditioner, so this is all you need to see the effect. But it's such a low concentration, and rinsed out so much more quickly than salon lightening, that it will only ever be a subtle change. (And I'm not even sure it would do anything to hair darker than a level 7 or so…) You literally can't mess it up. Let me start by saying that I am not a bleach user, it has always scared me due to the length of my hair and the fact I'm naturally a darker brown. This product not only did exactly what I expected but went beyond my expectations. It is super easy to get the consistently and mix this product for use, I have long hair and have to mix more as I go and the cream formula and product packaging made it easy. I also MUST mention how great my hair felt after lightening, where my hair normally feels brittle at the wash when not even bleaching…. that was not the case here it was soft and easy to manage. I am on a hair to journey to a ashy blonde and I was at about 6/7 at time of use (gold and brassy) and this brought me right to where I need to be to tone effectively. Ok so to start, I have NEVER colored my own hair in my 28 years of existence. I always go to the salon to get it done but recently my work schedule hasn’t messed with my hair girl’s availability so I had to take matters into my own hands. I read all these reviews before purchasing this product so I figured it’s my turn to help some sisters out.. Since I’ve never done this before I was pretty nervous so I colored my roots in 2 different sessions because I knew I wouldn’t be fast enough. I did the bottom layers first with a 1:1 ratio with Ion 20 Volume Developer- Sensitive Scalp. I also mixed a tiny bottle of Ion Color Boost enhancer. I was nervous so I left it on for about 20 minutes, washed, then toned with Ion Bright White Creme Toner in Platinum Lace. Some patches were a little orangey due to the fact I only left it on for 20 min (a volume 30 developer would’ve worked better with my hair). When I did the top layers I tried mixing a 2:1 ratio with the developer and it worked perfectly. I coated my top layers root growth, sat for about 40 minutes, washed, then toned with the Platinum Lace toner. I then used a deep conditioning treatment (Sauce- Guacamole Whip is the best ever) and once I was done I was seriously so impressed with myself. Like I said I have NEVER done this before. I watched about 20 YouTube videos and read 100 reviews first though so if this is your first time, definitely do your homework because it pays off in the end. Also, don’t forget to nourish your scalp afterwards with a solid hair treatment just to be safe. In the end my hair turned out to be the perfect icy platinum and still feels so soft and healthy.
Extremely hydrating. My hair did not feel damaged at all. Things to keep in mind.. I was very close to running out of bleach. I did 1:1 ratio with 30 vol (the same line). I have 3b curly, shoulder length hair and I did not bleach my roots. If you have longer hair or want to do your roots and full length you’ll probably need two bottles 🙁 I don’t think one round with this bleach will get your to platinum. My hair was previously bleached light brown and after having this bleach on for an hour my hair is now a medium-light blonde. Definitely need a toner with this bleach because my hair was very very yellow. Overall I highly recommend and I would but it again.Ashley J

This is the best purple hair mask I've ever tried! I use their shampoo and conditioner now, as well, after really loving this product! It's amazing and more affordable than others I've tried, although one jar lasts two masks for me (because I have long thick hair). But it's worth stocking up on, especially when it's B1G1 50% off! This makes my hair so soft and really eliminates the orange and brassy tones that I tend to get on my balayage after the magic from the salon wears off. I have left it on for 15 minutes the last few times I've used it. It did give me a bit of purple tones here and there but for the most part, I think 10 to 15 minutes works best to get those few stubborn brassy spots out. Especially since I've had to reschedule my salon visit three times now due to the weather! I put it on my towel dried hair (still pretty wet) after I shower and really work it in my hair, as if it's a shampoo. This seems to work best for me. First time trying a purple shampoo that is not from a professional beauty brand and I am pleased! The scent is very nice and leaves your hair smelling wonderful! The color of the shampoo is very dark purple and contains a lot of pigment, which I like because it makes me feel like the product works better at knocking out the brass. This lathered better than other purple shampoos that I have tried. I have only used once and I already saw a change in the tone of my hair. It definitely works! I received this product complimentary in a voxbox. I will say this product definitely works. However I have red hair not blonde. It did strip out some of the darker tones in my hair making it lighter (I didn’t hate the end result). This shampoo is not recommended for red hair especially red hair that is dyed. Although most red dyes have purple deposits and red deposits in them the purple cancels out the yellow/ golden tones. Overall the product did as it described it smells amazing and you do definitely get results from day one. I have rated this five stars as I continually rebut this product. It’s always In my bathroom. I have naturally blonde hair which I do have coloured every few months to lighten it a little and this really helps to re brighten my hair. I will say however that I have to change my shampoo and conditioner regularly as it almost stops working on my hair but I do always go back to this product however I only use this a few times a month, and it helps maintain not only my colour but doesn’t strip my hair and make it feel dry when washed. I also love the biotin and collagen shampoo/conditioner by OGX, these are great products which can be used daily without the overuse of chemicals that lost shampoos have in them.katie.p

Silver tresses looking kinda brassy or yellow? This product will take the yellow away and leave behind a healthy, shiny, ready to style head of hair. I am sometimes wary of bluing shampoo because some can leave that blue haired lady look but this one no. I leave mine on 10 minutes once every two weeks in place of normal shampoo and wala great gray hair. As a precaution if you have processed or bleached hair do a test first. This can just like other violet and blue based products become trapped in porous areas leaving a not so nice blotchy mess. It comes out but why risk it. To be honest I think it left my hair more brassier than it should be. It was a baylage that needed some help because it was getting brassy so I picked this product. I regret it because I think it made the blonde in my hair darker and brassier. I am in love with Roux Fanci-full Temporary Hair Color Rinse in Frivolous Fawn as it's a lifesaver in-between trips to the salon. Roux addresses my outgrow when I've got extended time separating my salon visits and allows me to successfully blend my outgrow without lines separating my hair color and what's been treated with Roux and doesn't alter my gator color nor cause any damage. Keeps my bleached hair looking white. I use both this and the conditioner. I use aporox half the amount of this compared to my other favourite; Creightons Summer blonde, and whilst they're as good as each other, the Pro:Voke is a bit better value for money. I never use a separate toner, just this stuff and I bleach my black hair to white using 12%/ 40 vol Lansilk peroxide mixed with Lansilk blue bleaching powder. Having spent 40+ years with various shades in my naturally black hair of green/blue or purple tint and then bleaching it badly and having to go over the top with directions colours in various punky colours, I finally had the patience over a two week period to let my hair achieve the shade which I'd always longed for. I need a cut as it's damaged in places but right from the outset, it looked so 'me', it just suits me, absolutely love it. Roots touch up next week by a student hairdresser who will part my hair properly to do it rather than my husband who slapped it all over again last time, leaving it brittle.*thelincolnimp*
I bought this as an alternative to my usual purple shampoo. I quite like this product it doesn't stain as badly as some & definitely does what it says. Good value compared to other people shampoos. This is hands down one of the best purple shampoos on the market. For the best results, make sure you apply an even application throughout your hair, as it will remove any yellow tones and you obviously don't want to have any obvious patches left untreated. Once you rinse out the product you will notice how much brighter and nicer your hair looks. Its a great shampoo to use in-between going to the salon, as I find my hair can look duller as the weeks/months go on and this instantly lightens it and gives it a much needed boost!Sarahxo
