The shape of the bottle is just so convenient, you can store this so easy in a cabinet without it falling over or taking up a crazy amount of space. The cap is easy to open to access the shampoo in the shower. Now the inside. When you open the bottle and take that first sniff you will be in love with the smell. It is just the right amount of vanilla bean to make this perfect and not overwhelming. The consistancy of the shampoo is also perfect, a little goes a long way. It lathers amazing and so smooth. It also rinces easy out of my hair and my hair really does feel clean once it is rinced and doesn't feel like there is any residue or product left in my hair. I put keratin treatments in my hair for 2 years, then I permed over it. All the while, I was still coloring and highlighting my hair. There wasn't much more damage I could have done to it. To preface. I'm a 25 female. Natural light brown hair, bleached low maintenance blonde. Thick wavy frizzy hair that reaches the lower bottom of my back. Prone to split ends and breakage at the bottom of my hair. No extensions. I wanted to add this so people with similar hair types can relate. So to start, I'm so torn on this shampoo… I tried it for 3 weeks and I do like that this shampoo and conditioner cuts down on my overall frizz and made my hair so much smoother and less likely to tangle which is exactly what I was looking for. BUT there is some things about this shampoo I just can't ignore. First off the smell, I just can't get past it. It reminds me of a menthol cigarette. It just smells sooo minty and lingers after washing. Some people may not mind the smell but if my shampoo is going to linger, I'd prefer it to smell like something other than strong mint and almost a tea tree smell. Second, when the conditioner sets for a couple minutes before rinsing out I've noticed that my back and neck where the product has been laying in my hair will get very cold and tingly. Almost like how when you have a breath mint you get the same effect in your mouth but it's on your body this time. This alone made me decide not to repurchase. I like my shower water very warm and I found myself constantly turning the heat up because while the conditioner set I would get extremely cold from the tingly feeling. It can be overwhelming sometimes and linger even after washing the area thoroughly and drying off. I would assume if this was a shampoo and conditioner without the minty smell that I was having an allergic reaction to it but since it has that smell I just really don't know if the tingle is intended or not. And lastly, I've noticed a lot of small breakage at the top of my hair by my scalp. I'm not prone to breakage that high and only notice it after a fresh bleach every once and a while although it is usually very rare for me. I should note that it has been 3 months since my last bleach since I am a low maintenance blonde and I was not using this product during my last bleach. I also take a lot measures to protect my hair that could be the cause of breakage that high. So at this point only thing I've changed is this shampoo and conditioner. I've decided not to finish the rest of the bottle due to concerns about further breakage. This is just my experience. Some people seem to love it but it's a no from me. I hope this helps some people on the fence after reading conflicting reviews. I've switched to Joyco kpac reconstructing shampoo that has also given me the same desirable results so far with a much better smell, no breakage, and most importantly no tingly feeling on by skin.Lexi

I saw the hair loss reviews but if the hair is coming out at the follicle then that is definitely health related not from a shampoo. Shampoo cannot cause hair loss unless maybe a severe reaction to the scalp and there's swelling and for whatever reason the follicle comes out with it but that is highly unlikely. But anyways back to my review lol this is the most hydrating gentle shampoo I've ever used it's perfect! It cleans my hair and makes my scalp feel so refreshed but my hair is detangled and moisturized! And the conditioner is so creamy and moisturizing! The last time I used this stuff was 5 or 6 years ago (before chopping it all off) and it's as great as it ever was! A tiny amount (4-6 drops) goes a long way toward taming floof and keeping the ends of my now shoulder length wavy/curly hair looking much healthier than they actually are (trimming my own hair during COVID has been… rough and largely ineffective). It's much "drier" than other hair oils I've used, so it doesn't leave my hair greasy, but it really sticks around to do its job-especially for a product without silicone! I never write reviews but I'm writing this as I would never want this hair oil to be discontinued! I have been using it as a pre- wash treatment for a few hours or overnight before shampooing it out (with the smooth infusion line) and this has made a huge difference to my hair. Now I have very long, semi thick hair, that's very coarse. I use shampoo and conditioner regularly but sometimes that's not enough to give me the sleek shine I like, or if I need help defining my waves during a blowout, the OGX Morrigan and Argan oil is wjat I turn to. It's got a very pleased scent to it, and you need only about a Nickle sized amount distributed through the hair to get the desired results. I bought a little bottle maybe about a year ago for roughly $7 and it is still more than halfway full with constant use. I love the shine it gives my hair and I love how effective it is. And the smell is so fragrant and nice! It makes me feel like I've just come out of a spa day. You can find this at most retailers and like I mentioned it's normally under $10. This product is my now go to after I hop out of the shower. Using it on damp hair before a blow dry leaves my hair shiny and smooth all day. It’s given back my dull hair its shine. My hair is bleached so it always feels dry and damaged, even after styling with other heat protectant sprays, but this hair oil has helped maintain my frizz even days after use. I have been using this after the shower for around 4 weeks and am loving it. I’ve gotten a few close friends using it too now as it’s a cheap alternative to the hair oils from the hair care shops. I use a bit over a 50 cent sized amount and have barely made a dint into the product. The ogx argan oil also has a lovely smell that meshes well with my shampoo and conditioner. I can also extend the period of time between washes which is so great as it takes me so long to wash and style my hair. I usually have to wash my hair every three days as it will start getting dry and gets knotty very easily. I can now get around a week before my hair needs a wash. My hair also has been more durable and I have been experiencing way less breakage as well as loosing less hair throughout the day. It’s also become way more easy to brush my hair in the mornings and I’m experiencing much less tangles, I believe this is because my hair is more nourished and healthy so its getting tangled less then with my dry hair with no product. The only negative thing I have noticed is if my hair isn’t damp enough or if i try and use it after straightening my hair it makes my hair look oily and weighed down, this is more user error then a problem with the oil itself. With the negatives aside I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with bleached hair or thicker hair. This oil claims to be a penetrating oil and I whole heartland agree, I have used many oils on the market and most just leave a layer if oil on top (yes even when I apply with towel dried hair) and some are not at all affordable. I have never tried an oil that makes such a difference on my hair and leaves barely any residue, I use a generous amount and my hair still sucks all the oil up. My hair thrives with oil because of how much heat and bleach I use on it, its given my hair so much shine and smoothness back into it. I am extremely happy with how my hair has turned out. I just received it and I love it already! It made my hair really soft, smooth and shiny! Some people complain this is full of chemicals (silicones) that are bad for the hair. The hair is dead and if you want it smooth and shiny, you need to condition it with things like emollients, and some also act as occlusives to seal everything in (such as silicones and argan oil) and they also act as a protective barrier against things like humidity (bye bye frizzy hair). The only problem with silicones is that some are hard to get out the hair, but if you use an appropriate shampoo once in a while (one with sulfates works very well), you will prevent too much build up from happening. But don’t be scared by it, because it’s that build up that protects you hair and makes it look amazing. It won’t damage your hair in the long term, just make sure to use a silicon free shampoo that clarifies the hair once in a while. So yeah, I loved this product. The only downside is the smell. A lot of people love it and I agree that it’s not bad, it’s very fresh and salon-y. But I don’t like my hair smelling hair products too much. It’s not very strong however, so I’m okay about it. I know things don't work for all hair types, but given what this is made from, and all the people with 4C hair who are raving about it, it should surely have worked on my 3A/B type hair, long with two curl types. It does absolutely nothing for my hair. Nothing. I washed my hair and used this and a sister product, and the following morning my hair was as dry as anything. This product is far inferior to the repair spray that 'macadamia hair' sell. Applied straight after washing one's hair, You can barely brush it through, (Without causing damage). The original formula with an amber tint in the brown glass bottle was the bomb, best smelling stuff, got so many compliments. Made my hair look better that Moroccan oil. I've never had a product that does what this product does. I have long brittle balayaged hair and after using conditioner my hair used to feel weoged down and limp. Ever since I included this in my routine, that has changed. I section my hair into two and apply a pea sized amount in each section avoiding the scalp and comb/brush each section to make sure the product spreads evenly. This product also helps with detangling. Degangle with fingers before your comb if you have long hair like me. Whoever is confused about this product isn't using it right..you're either using too much or it's not spreading well in your hair. After application, my hair no longer feels limp. They just feel healthy. If you feel the need to add more shine after this you can use the number 7 olaplex oil, just a drop after this. This routine is everything. I have been wearing extensions for some time and decided to up the game and treat my hair to Olaplex. Big big mistake! The product is way too rich for hair extensions and it has completely dried them out! I had a lovely 20 inch, double drawn balayage hair extensions fitted in April 2022 and bought this kit in May.l (then repurchased when I was out). By September I have left 18 inch and dry as the Sahara. If you have hair extension please stay away! I’m not even close to the 12 month mark with my extensions and I’ll need to get new ones because my hair looks terrible. All that money down the drain, no pun intended. My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. I have long, loose curls that turn more into waves the longer I go in between washes. Before I was a mom, I maintained my hair by combing/washing every other day. If I wasn’t about to wash, I didn’t comb because my hair would get too frizzy and lose some of its shape. Since becoming a mom, washing once a week is my new norm. I've used many Leave-in conditioners but this one actually works! The first time I used it the instructions said to apply "generously" of course when I realised how thick and creamy it was I decided to ignore this and apply a little more than I would normally but not by much. I noticed when I ran my hands under tap that the greasy feel came away before I'd even used soap! So, the second time I used it I applied it liberally. I have long hair and used as directed this time. By the time it dried I was very surprised that it gave weight to my fine hair and made it bouncy! So I highly recommend this product. I'm in my 70's and don't usually leave reviews because they would generally be negative and knowing not everybody has the same experience thought my 2 cents worth wasn't worth the bother. I received a generous sample of this and have been using it the past week. I love that no matter how much of this oil you put on — your hair NEVER looks greasy or oily or heavy, which I love. I’ve used JVN and other hair oils, and if you use more than 2 or 3 drops (I have thick, long hair), suddenly that one extra drop has ruined your hairstyle and your hair looks greasy the entire day. The virtue healing oil absorbs easily in both damp and dry hair and has a lovely warm scent — like vanilla and cocoa. Overall, for the amount you get and the price point, I probably wouldn’t purchase. I normally use Augustinus Bader’s hair oil, and while this one has a nicer fragrance, the AB one leaves my hair shinier and feeling healthier than when I use this one before I blow dry. I haven’t noticed that big of a difference to the overall health of my hair, and while I’m impressed it doesn’t leave my hair greasy, and it does tames flyaways well, it just didn’t wow me. Maybe I’ll change my mind after using it for a longer period of time and possibly seeing more cumulative results, but so far, it’s good but not great.ESH

I have to say that I never put anything on my hair after i shampoo and condition and my hair is great because it moves freely and nothing weighs it down. My hair is thick for the most part but as i have aged not as much as I like. I still do highlights and low lights and am lucky I haven't greyed that much yet but it can tend to dry it out sometimes. I tried Virtue and was amazed at how my hair looked. It has shine and and it is so light it doesn't weigh my hair down and most of all I don't have fly away hairs and it moves freely and I love it. After reading the reviews on this product I really had very high hopes since my hair is extremely dry and damaged. The reviews had said the smell was light & pleasant and not that strong…yet as soon as I put it on my hands the smell was overwhelming and very very strong. I will admit given the reviews I was still hopeful that it would make my hair soft so I did put it on my hair thinking the smell might dissipate but it is so strong that that doesn't seem to be the case. However… it made my dry as the Sahara desert, straw like hair softer! It did give me a headache, sadly. But I am in awe that it made my hair soft! Nothing yet has been able to turn this head of hay into anything resembling silk. My hair started falling out a couple of months ago for unexplained reasons and just turned brittle and dry dry dry. Nothing I do has seemed to work yet. This is amazing. So the reviews are correct abt the way it works. But if you're like me and sensitive to smells…BEWARE! This will knock you off your feet & make your head hurt! Might be worth it to me to wrap my head in a towel and just wash it at night, idk yet. Still hoping it'll calm down. First of all, Pureology can do no wrong in my eyes. Every single product they make is absolute gold. I loved having the opportunity to try this heat protectant smoothing lotion in exchange for my honest review. The 6.6 oz retails for $29 on the pureology website. That price seems pretty fair. I have long hair and I usually use about 2 or three pumps. It smells great and smooths any frizz. Also, a lot of people skip the heat protectant step before they blow dry, flat iron or curl, and the professionals will tell you that’s a big mistake. Especially for color treated hair. This lotion is great. It feels very lightweight, I have oily scalp and hair that is tend to be greasy fast and yet very frizzy due to highlights and straightening. I was glad to find out that this lotion is not greasy or sticky and doesn’t weigh my hair down and It does help protect my hair from heat treatment and it’s noticeable. After two week of use I noticed that it helped my hair look smoother and less frizzy. I actually liked the result so much that I even take the time to use my hair straightener more frequently. The only single drawback is the scent, I wish it was less peachy and last shorter. Not to my liking anyway. I would definitely recommend this product for someone who wants to improve the look and the feel of their hair using heat treatments.DafDaf

I really enjoyed the shampoo from this line, but I feel the conditioner & smoothing cream are too heavy for my hair type. I shampoo and style my hair once a week and with the use of this product I had to shampoo after 2 days due to itchy scalp and just overall weighing my hair down. I use another high end line smoothing creams and I can go 6-7 days without shampooing. I’m all about that dry shampoo life. This product smells great and my hair looked amazing right after I blowed it out and it definitely did smooth my hair out, I just didn’t like the weighing of my hair down after 2 days. I like to try new leave-in conditioners. Hardly ever buy any twice. I will be purchasing this again & again. Great for detangling hair. I let my hair air dry and leaves it soft, straight and smooth. No frizz at all. Does not leave hair feeling weighed down at all. For reference I have medium-dark hair that's dyed w a few blonde streaks, hair down middle of back. When you have curly hair, you get tired of always having to style it with 15 products at a time (exaggerating of course). Sometimes you just want to wash it and be done, while looking good enough to go out in public. This is my go-to for those kinds of days. It's light-weight, it keeps my hair soft and smooth, it cuts down on frizz, and it is awesome for detangling. I have been using this line of healthy sexy hair products for years. I switched to another shampoo a few years ago though after they changed their soy moisturizing shampoo to some garbage that had nothing but oils in it. They removed literally all of the cleansing agents and it left my hair so greasy. It was awful. However, I stuck with the leave-in conditioner up until a couple weeks ago. They've now changed their formula on that too. They've changed it before, but it still worked. But whatever they've put in the bottle now is just terrible. I had a suspicion something was different after noticing the bottle had changed (since that seems to be the bat signal equivalently of "we've completely ruined your favorite product"), but after one use I could tell something was off. My hair felt dry and frizzy, and my blonde looked brassy. There was no life to my hair AT ALL. I will seriously never understand why companies change their formula on perfectly good products. It seems to happen with literally everything I find that I like – I'll fall in love with it, use it for a few years, then BAM! CHANGED! Sooo aggravating. Please go back to your original soy formulas from the early 2010s. That stuff was gold. This new stuff that you've clearly cut costs on is absolutely awful.Product junkie

I recently started to blow out my hair on my own and had been shopping for products for a while and nothing seemed to work for me. I specifically wanted a good heat protectant for my hair. I’ve tried a lot of different heat protectant which left my hair feeling sticky or stiff which isn’t ideal for a blowout. After finding this product by its a 10, I fell in love. My hair is smooth and flowey and still shiny. Other products I used with this one was the Ola Plex bonding oilemily.p

I love this entire line of products, and love this as well. I slightly prefer the spray, perhaps because I tend to use it more liberally so it seems to keep my hair smoother. But I prefer the tube dispenser, so will probably just try using more of this product at a time.Amy G

This balm is one of the best smoothing balm that I have ever used. I have tried everything from the most expensive hair salon brands to drug store brand. I have a short hair asymmetrical haircut that I blow dry and straighten with a flat iron. This protects my hair, leave my hair soft, manageable and shiny. I also love that it has a heat protectant for your hair. I use less then a dime size amount of this. Less is more. I can't rave enough about it.Jackie1

This is a really nice silky hydrating leave in conditioner. I like to use it after the shampoo and mask from the same line and I love how it makes my hair feel and look. I apply this from mid to ends and comb and style as usual. It leaves my hair soft and shiny without being too heavy. It has some of my favorite nourishing ingredients like argan oil and marula oil. Just like the shampoo, it has a slight lower PH which is what I look for in hair care products since they hydrate but are less damaging. It’s perfect for every day hydration and helps a lot with frizz control, especially on thick wavy hair like mine! I also really like the fact that it doesn’t have artificial fragrance or essential oils.elenaph

I just love the moisture I get from the Drunk Elephant Silkamino Mega-Moisturizing Shampoo for my hair and my scalp loves it too! This really is a deeply moisturizing shampoo I truly feel my hair gets plenty of moisture and feels healthier with use, looks shinier, softer too, and even stronger. It does a great job too at deep cleansing away all my product buildup I have in my hair from all the hair products I use which is a plus, plus dirt, sweat, and oils too it cleanses away. What I like is that soothes my scalp too which is something I was looking for while also looking for something with all these other properties so this shampoo really does it all and my scalp does feel so much better and healthier too! This shampoo has a nice thick formula so all you need is a little to lather up so it’ll last you a long time and I only use a small amount on my past below my shoulders wavy bleached hair. I’ve also noticed my hair is more manageable with less frizz due to the great moisturizing effect and how it is free of all the bad ingredients I’m sure plays a role. Highly recommend!Vmuller2

This oil is amazing, I have dry and fizzy hair. This oil does work but you have to give it time, after while you can see great result. I use this oil 4 a week. Then wash your hair shampoo and conditioner. If you don’t want leave it oil on hair long time then before you wash hair an hour before apply it on your hair and wash it. Amla oil is great for keeping my extremely dry hair nourished, soft, and shiny. It also leaves the hair smelling very pleasant. Although the oil is light, you should be careful not to use to much because it has a tendency to run down the neck if you do. Other than that, I have nothing but praise. I'm on my second bottle and my son is now using it for his hair too. It's an overall great product. I highly recommend it.wholesalebargains!
