I have thick wavy/frizzy hair (no curls) with highlight/low light to help deal with growing out grays. Paul Mitchell Straight Works is perfect for my hair. This stuff is thick so I use it sparingly in sections and comb it through, I then lightly spray Kenra Platinum Blow Dry all over to protect from blow dryer. Works great together. This does not have heat protectant (as stated on bottle). If you use heat tools you should use a heat protectant with this. I love it!Klea36
One of the best straightening products I have ever used but not much of a heavy fragrance so, no parfume clashing I personally love the lack of fragrances but if you love a heavy perfume smell in your hair products this isnt for you. Its not greasy at all but not drying. My hair is very thick, confused wanna be curly and frizzy and this worked incredibly well and kept my hair smooth for 2 days. It worked better than I expected and my hair felt wonderfully soft and was incredibly straight. I did add the product, blow dryed it straight with my larger round brush, add a little more of the product evenly throught my hair a send time, then I straightened with my flat iron. Thats how I chose to do it bec ause its the only process Ive has work on my Hermione Granger 1st year type of hair. I do not recommend this product not only did it dry my hair, but it did absolutely nothing. My hair is curly and frizzy so I was really excited to try this product unfortunately it was a pure disappointment. Thank Paul Mitchel my hair hates me more than ever. I will never use this product again, it said to put a little bit, but it did not work so I put more shocker shocker nothing happened. Great product! I have thick, coarse, frizzy, somewhat wavy hair. I shower at night let it air dry. When i wake up in the morning my hair is so frizzy. Even when I’m in a hurry just want to pull it back into a ponytail I still have to get the straightener out to smooth over my rots at my part along my face. If i apply a generous amount of this to my hair after showering while it’s wet then when i wake in the morning my roots/fly-aways are smooth don’t need straightened. I have to say that I am not fond of the Smoother Straightening Balm. I tried it twice and each time the results were not good. After my first use of the Balm, I thought my hair felt stiff and dry with fly-aways. The second time, I tried using more but pretty much got the same results. As a result, I am still looking for that third product to use to keep my hair style last the day.
It smells nice but for me doesn't do that much. I like this brand though. This product is definitely a balm as in it does not help shape your hair. It does help to smooth frizz but if your hair gets wavy and frizzy in humidity like mine does, this product does not have much impact. I will use it up though. I received a complimentary product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I am always happy to try a new serum for my curly 3B/C hair. This stuff is liquid gold. It smells good, has a nice weight to it, but isn’t greasy or sticky. The texture is smooth and silky, spreads easily, absorbs quickly into my hair. I suspect most people probably don’t need a lot, a pump or two would suffice. Today I used it with the shampoo and conditioner from the set. The shampoo and conditioner make my hair super silky and soft and this serum provided moisture and heat protection. I have zero frizz! Today I used my hair dryer with a diffuser attachment and wow, my curls got super springy. It’s been about eight hours since I washed my hair and applied the product. My curls are intact, silky soft, smooth and defined. I used about 3 pumps worth which is probably a lot but I have a lot of hair and need a large quantity of product. I’ll be trying this with a round brush and hairdryer and flat iron in a couple days. But for now? I love this serum, it’s great!rosie.k
So it’s a very convenient size bottle only 3 ounces very bright yellow color and absolutely marvelous scent of flowers that is not overwhelming and very clean and pleasant. There’s a little cover over the pump that’s transparent, the bottle is transparent as well and the pump is very convenient and only gives you the amount that you need per each pump action. It’s very liquidy and oily but the serum is nice and smooth and silky and it works pretty well especially on damp hair but I would actually suggest using it on dry hair so you don’t overuse it because it is oil or oily and you don’t want to have that much oil in your hair because it’s going to get dirty/greasy pretty quickly then. it did also help with the flyaways and keep it from becoming frizzy. I think it’s a very good product and I will continue to use it because it works and I really like the scent and I really like that it’s not such a big bottle that I could bring it with me in my purse and I love the little cover for the pump so even if it spills it won’t actually leak. I will recommend this product and the line because it’s high quality, luxurious appealing and almost substitutes for a slight body mist or perfume that smells like beautiful smelling flowers which reminds me of wisteria. This line is great for very dry hair. I especially like it for use after I have been on a heat styling binge. It’s definitely a heavier, thicker shampoo and conditioner. I have coarse, dry hair, but it gets weighed down easily, as well. I prefer to use this line when I am providing a “deep conditioning” treatment to myself. The serum is excellent in small amounts, and takes frizz. I would not recommend using the serum and the cream together. Serum is good for days I want to flat iron and smooth. The cream is better for days I’m allowing hair to air dry. The cream is a bit heavy for my liking. Not that it affects the product’s performance, but I am a huge scent person – the wish this line (and all of the Biolage lines) had a more appealing fragrance (they don’t smell badly, just reminds me of regular bar soap I guess). I am 30 years old. 30! Never in my life have I managed to find the balance between silky and greasy hair. UNTIL NOW. No joke. My hair is thin, wavy (in a bad way), broken, frizzy, and prone to oil build up: so I do nothing and I look like Charlize Theron from Monster, or I do a minuscule amount of styling and look like Wormtongue from LOTR. Wow I am impressed by this product. I read the discription and thought I would go ahead and give it a try. I am naturally dark brown, but I went blonde. Going blonde left me with dry brittle very damaged hair. Lately it has been rough trying to blow dry straight all the little fly aways that comes with damaged hair. I applied this product on my damp hair generously. It felt like a thick sticky cream while applying, and I was nervous that it was going to make my hair sticky and dry or crisp. I applied a generous amount to 4 sections of hair (about the size of a quarder from root to tip). After blow drying with a round coarse brush I was able to have straight hair that looked amazing and it felt smooth. I have been using this for about a year now, at the suggestion of my hairdresser. My hair is frizzy-curly. I used to never be able to let my hair air dry or blow it dry without straightening it. Thanks to this stuff, I no longer have to worry! It has a fruity smell that helps me start my day off on a positive note. I just put it in my hair every time I get out of the shower. There are no guidelines anywhere, but my hair is shoulder-length (and fluffy), and I use about a quarter size amount in my palm. I rub it between my palms and then spread through my hair. One thing I've noticed is that if you let your hair air dry, it will harden in your hair. In the instructions of how to use this oil, it says to work it though hair after a blowout. Very often, I blow out my hair with the Dyson Airwrap round brush and self-grip rollers. Self-grip rollers have a tendency to pull at the hair and break off small strands. I definitely think this oil is great at smoothing those strands after the blow out. You don’t even have to use a full pump for the oil to do that job. With either 1 full pump or less, the oil smooths the hair without ruining the blow out or making it greasy. My hair gets greasy QUICKLY after washing, so I really enjoy that I can use this oil for blow outs & it doesn’t affect the time in which my hair usually starts getting greasy. Also in the instructions, it says you can use this oil in your hair before washing. I’ve done this a handful of times now. I find the oil dries down in a fair amount of time, so I like that I can douse my hair with multiple pumps, put it in a pony tail, and after about an hour, it looks normal enough to do do things that I don’t have to look really impressive for (ex: errands). However, I notice when I completely oiling my hair up with this, it’s rather drying in comparison to other oils. For instance, I also use the Shea Moisture 100% Argan Oil, which is much cheaper, and it gives my hair that smooth oily feel that I aim for prior to washing. With this oil, I find that myself going back and re-oiling my hair due to the dry feeling. Again, I’ve only used it as a prewash a handful of times, so I have NOT noticed yet that the dryness is a lasting affect after I wash. I haven’t tried this yet on wet hair. Overall, it’s great for blow outs since a small pump goes far and it is light weight. When using larger amounts, I notice the hair feels more than dry than oily, and I worry this will eventually affect the dryness of my hair. This was so extremely disappointing, I even tried to give it the benefit of the doubt and used up the entire thing before giving my review. I honestly love so many Ouai hair products, their detox shampoo and scalp scrub are some of my absolute favorites! Unfortunately this was such a dud, I honestly cannot believe how many positive reviews this has received. First thing, the smell is atrocious. I like nice smelling products, and even if its unscented or a mild scent I usually don't mind but THIS! I could not get over the scent, its a very woody/herb/patchouli scent and its STRONG. Next issue I had with this is that it didn't really hydrate my hair, if anything it felt more dry after, it didn't really absorb and just sat on the hair looking wet/oily. i got this in a free gift set of a lot of minis & samples and i didnt expect much from it at all; i have used many different hair oils before and never really "clicked" with any of them. i also didn't expect to even remember half the items i got in this sample kit because there were so many. this stood out enough for me to take a picture of the little sachet before throwing it out. i thought i accidentally used too much but even with me using a lot it didn't weigh my hair down at all. in fact it actually gave me more volume, somehow, and my hair usually gets flat & greasy quite quickly. it smells so nice and the scent is subtle but lingers all day. it made my hair look so glossy & thick. i will definitely be purchasing the full size soon.aj

I have oils at home, that to be honest I have forgotten to use recently! Having visited my hairdresser recently this was used on my hair for the first time. I have thick, curly, coarse and frizzy hair. To blow dry it it can be a workout for the arms..and there is no way I can get it as smooth as they can! When this was used (just a couple of drops) on damp hair, the texture of my hair was so smooth and shiny it was amazing. It has certainly not made it greasy or feeling 'weighed down'….just loving the shine and the way it has made my hair look so healthy. My hair is naturally ringlet-curly, but the ringlets were always noticeably frizzy. Over the decades I’ve tried oils, creams, mousse, gels, lotions, & potions to try and tame them. I gave up & would blowout my ringlets then straighten my hair, then slather with product. It worked for a while. Enter Covid Hair Loss!! I knew I needed to be gentle with my hair because it was now extremely fragile, which meant cutting way back on heat tools. After an exhaustive search for something new to tame the ringlet-frizz I now had back by letting my hair air dry, I landed on Olaplex No. 7. I honestly did not put a lot of faith in it, but I do now! I use about 7 drops in my hands and apply it to damp hair, then let air dry almost completely. I have zero frizz and perfect curls… ALL DAY! It's been YEARS since my hair was this soft. Overall, I was not impressed with this product. A but of background info: 1.) I have naturally curly hair and will use curling irons and straighteners to sytle my hair on occasion. 2.) We have hard water in our home. After using this product for both curly and straight hairstyles, I would not purchase this product or recommend to a ffriend. Pro 1.) No noticeable scent to the product. (Pro for some people) Cons 1.) My hair felt more static-y and rough than normal when using this product. 2.) My hair was frizzy as soon as I finished my style. Normally, my hair is frizzy by the end of a day but this product didn't help with my frizz in the beginning of the day at all. 3.) This product has no noticeable scent. I have fine, wavy, oily hair and scalp and most leave in products or heat protectants weigh my hair down to the extent that I feel a need to wash it the next day itself. But this one is different. I only needed to use a tiny amount and it felt very lightweight on my hair. After heat styling my hair looked and felt amazing without a trace of frizz. I received a BzzAgent sample product of the Kérastase Discipline Leave in treatment to try. The condition of my hair during the winter months can be a challenge. My curl /wave pattern is between a 2A and 2C with random coils. My hair is thick and beyond mid back length, so in the winter months it's more necessary to blow dry my hair. The texture of the leave in does not feel heavy, but I did need to use double of the amount instructed again for the length of hair that I have. I found that the treatment did cut down on my blowdry time, so that is a bonus. Compared to other heat protecting, straightening products, the Kérastase leave in had my hair more manageable and less frizzy. While not completely frizz free, styling my hair has been easier with less tangles. I'll get myself another tube (if I run out before) when it gets warmer to see how well using this product performs air dried. Air drying during the winter is not an option since my hair takes almost half a day, it's just too thick.hawaiana

I am 30 years old. 30! Never in my life have I managed to find the balance between silky and greasy hair. UNTIL NOW. No joke. My hair is thin, wavy (in a bad way), broken, frizzy, and prone to oil build up: so I do nothing and I look like Charlize Theron from Monster, or I do a minuscule amount of styling and look like Wormtongue from LOTR. Last night I wet my hands an applied a very small amount of this – pea sized – to half-dried (shoulder length) hair. It was sticky going in, but then I blow-dried the rest of the way with a round brush and OHMYGOD my hair has never been this silky in my life! Wow I am impressed by this product. I read the discription and thought I would go ahead and give it a try. I am naturally dark brown, but I went blonde. Going blonde left me with dry brittle very damaged hair. Lately it has been rough trying to blow dry straight all the little fly aways that comes with damaged hair. I applied this product on my damp hair generously. It felt like a thick sticky cream while applying, and I was nervous that it was going to make my hair sticky and dry or crisp. I applied a generous amount to 4 sections of hair (about the size of a quarder from root to tip). After blow drying with a round coarse brush I was able to have straight hair that looked amazing and it felt smooth. I thought it looked exceptionally straight for the most part and I skipped hot ironing it flat because I thought doing so would eliminate the body that I had already going on with the round brush. It is now day 2 since using this product and wow… Normally my hair is a tangled mess because of all the bleaching. My hair looks AMAZING! It practically looks healthy looking, even though it is not. I have been using this for about a year now, at the suggestion of my hairdresser. My hair is frizzy-curly. I used to never be able to let my hair air dry or blow it dry without straightening it. Thanks to this stuff, I no longer have to worry! It has a fruity smell that helps me start my day off on a positive note. I just put it in my hair every time I get out of the shower. There are no guidelines anywhere, but my hair is shoulder-length (and fluffy), and I use about a quarter size amount in my palm. I rub it between my palms and then spread through my hair. One thing I've noticed is that if you let your hair air dry, it will harden in your hair. However, this is easily mitigated by either brushing your hair again or just running your fingers through your hair when it's dry (or close to dry). Whenever I get too cocky and think that my hair has just somehow magically changed, and I don't use this product for a day, I immediately remember and regret it! I initially bought this with the intention of protecting my hair against heat products. However, I also found out that this is really great (like, extremely good) at making my hair very straight. It lasts a couple days too, so keep that in mind. Just be careful because wherever you spray, the spray is bound to land on the floor and make it VERY slippery! I learned this when I sprayed it in my bathroom and then almost fell later in the day when I walked into the same bathroom. The shipping took forever. Literally, a month. I’m not sure if I chose the right things for my hair or if I just honestly don’t like them. The tops of the shampoo and conditioner bottles are poorly designed and hard to squeeze. In two attempts to wash my hair I had to squeeze so hard that when it did come out half the bottle sprayed onto my wall and was wasted. I didn’t expect it to help with flakiness much but it didn’t work for making my scalp less itchy either. I can’t speak to the effectiveness of the Thermal Magique because I’ve been too discouraged by how it and the Sorbet feel in my hair to style it. First of all, Pureology can do no wrong in my eyes. Every single product they make is absolute gold. I loved having the opportunity to try this heat protectant smoothing lotion in exchange for my honest review. The 6.6 oz retails for $29 on the pureology website. That price seems pretty fair. I have long hair and I usually use about 2 or three pumps. It smells great and smooths any frizz. Also, a lot of people skip the heat protectant step before they blow dry, flat iron or curl, and the professionals will tell you that’s a big mistake. Especially for color treated hair. This lotion is great. It feels very lightweight, I have oily scalp and hair that is tend to be greasy fast and yet very frizzy due to highlights and straightening. I was glad to find out that this lotion is not greasy or sticky and doesn’t weigh my hair down and It does help protect my hair from heat treatment and it’s noticeable. After two week of use I noticed that it helped my hair look smoother and less frizzy. I actually liked the result so much that I even take the time to use my hair straightener more frequently. The only single drawback is the scent, I wish it was less peachy and last shorter. Not to my liking anyway. I really enjoyed the shampoo from this line, but I feel the conditioner & smoothing cream are too heavy for my hair type. I shampoo and style my hair once a week and with the use of this product I had to shampoo after 2 days due to itchy scalp and just overall weighing my hair down. I use another high end line smoothing creams and I can go 6-7 days without shampooing. I’m all about that dry shampoo life. This product smells great and my hair looked amazing right after I blowed it out and it definitely did smooth my hair out, I just didn’t like the weighing of my hair down after 2 days.
