20 Best Products To Scrunch Hair (Feb 2023 Update)

This is hands down the best curly hair gel on the market. I use 2-3 pumps for my whole head and scrunch it in after applying a leave in conditioner to very wet hair. It starts by drying hard but then as the day goes on, your hair looks and feels so soft and the curls are still in place. If i’m looking for a stronger hold because of a slick-back ponytail or something, I usually opt for a stronger gel like Not Your Mother’s. However, I still use Uncle Funky’s Daughter every single day and it’s been excellent for my 3b hair! And CGM approved!!! Worth every penny and lasts long.Natalie

I branched out a year ago to try new products for my wavy hair and I stumbled on this one. I wasn’t sure at first because it’s a weird texture. Kinda like a watery gel. I wasn’t 100% sure it would help my hair. Omg. I was so wrong to be skeptical. This stuff is in my everyday hair arsenal. I scrunch this into my wet hair after a shower. Sometimes it’s all I use and it leaves my hair soft and gently defined. If I want stronger definition, I add in Marc Anthony’s curly mousse right after this and scrunch it in with a t-shirt then let air dry. Once dry, I scrunch with my hands or a t-shirt to get the “crunch” out and my hair looks so good after. It holds the waves in nicely all day long and strong.kelly.w

Feels just like snot!! And gets the job DONE! So just so that you know, I’m a lazy 4C natural. Meaning I do bare minimum to maintain a few strands of hair on my non-chemically treated hair. I literally do not use styling products, partially out of laziness but even more so out of fear of breakage and dryness etc. I took a chance, and for the first tome in years, I tried a styling product, and this was it. It’s a gel with the exact consistency of snot. First wash your hair, condition, leave in condition or whatever, and then while your hair is still soaking wet, apply a GENEROUS amount. Finger detangle/shingle/whatever you to that usually gets a little more definition in your hair and boom. Soft not crunchy curls. Such an amazing hold without feeling like your hair is going to fall out. No flaking. I purchased this recently to soften and nourish my dry 4c hair and I was pleasantly surprised. A little goes a long way and it left my hair feeling rich, moisturised and manageable. It has a fluffy and buttery consistency. When I first got it was a bit disappointed at the size because of the price but it didnt matter.I have only been using it for 2 weeks but I can tell the difference in my hair length already. This is my new go to product and its surprising as I usually go for shea moisture product. I would recommend that you buy this on offer as it can be a bit pricey.4Chairgoals

I bought this on the basis of all the positive reviews. I am so disappointed. I know things don't work for all hair types, but given what this is made from, and all the people with 4C hair who are raving about it, it should surely have worked on my 3A/B type hair, long with two curl types. It does absolutely nothing for my hair. Nothing. I washed my hair and used this and a sister product, and the following morning my hair was as dry as anything. Dryer than if I'd just washed and conditioned. Obviously it must relate to my hair type, as others have raved about it, but I just don't see why. Will stick to Cantu in future. I have 2C, high density, coarse, porous, long hair. Since adding heavy highlights to blend the grays, my hair has been a dry, frizzy nightmare! I have read endless product reviews, watched countless You Tube Videos regarding care and products for my hair. I have purchased so many products that it is insane, and none fully managed to clump my curls/waves and provide humidity protection.
I use a leave in conditioner applied in the shower to soaking wet hair. I then use a curl primer. I scrunch these products into hair and micro plop to remove excess water. I then apply curl keeper just like gel, using praying hands method to coat each curl. I add more to the crown and smooth over waves. I then plop for 10-30 minutes depending on if I’m air drying or diffusing.
I actually prefer to air dry and this product allows that, though it takes hours to dry. Can form a slight cast which I actually love. Once fully dry any crunch is easily scrunched out. I NEVER have shine in my hair due to the coarse texture but with this my curls are defined and shiny. Best part is that even in high humidity this holds perfectly.
I cannot speak to 2nd or 3rd day hair as I haven’t been able to test this part yet.

An amazing product for my dry, frizzy hair! This smells like warm, smooth coconut 🥥! Compared to alternatives, this has a VERY strong scent, so be cautious if you're sensitive to fragrances! I would improve this product by offering this is a lighter lotion for those with thinner hair not to overdo it, however you can use less product and avoid applying to your scalp to avoid weighing your hair down. I bought this product not knowing my hair type which is my bad. So if you have low porosity hair like me, this product might not be the best for you. I used this weekly and found that my hair felt extra greasy and had a lot of build up. The butters caused weighed down my curls and they still had a lot of frizz. It does smell good and I bet would be great for high porosity hair. But if you have low porosity hair, it's probably better to just avoid this product.Kenna

What I will say about this product is that it does definitely leave my curls defined and very pretty for day 1 curls however it does need some type of hold to last multiple days. For me it works best when I pair it either with a gel or mousse I have from another brand. I don’t however like pairing it with the Mizani Miracle Milk Leave In because together it weighs my hair down and stretches my curls which I don’t usually like especially if it leaves my hair feeling unwashed or greasy. So I rather use the Mizani products I received separately. Of the three Mizani products I received I like the smell of this curl enhancer the most. Overall good product, just have to learn what works best for your hair when using them.evelina.b

It has Coconut Oil helping to enhance moisture and offers frizz control. Marula Oil Provides frizz control. And Olive Oil helping to Moisturize and add shine and softness. All these oil are amazing for the hair this curl lotion is more for the curly hair girls who like a more natural curl look. It doesn’t leave you with extremely tight curls. I really like the lightweight feel of this curl lotion. There's so many out there that are heavy and make my curls weighed down. I put about 4-5 pumps in my hair for my long and thick curls and apply how I've been applying curl creme to my hair for 10+ years. With that being said, while I like the formula, I don't see any hydration or definition in the top part of my hair (maybe the first 4 inches from the roots) or the last part of my hair (the bottom 2-3 inches). It is flat and no matter how much I individually scrunch the lotion into my curls or finger comb it all through there, there hasn't been any improvement. The frizz on my hair hasn't been touched either by this formula. I take a lot of showers at night, so I would use this formula then, but if I took a morning shower and needed my hair to look it's best then I would not use this formula. I appreciate what this brand was trying to achieve, but maybe my curls are just too thick and dry for this type of formula.annalise.s

The lotion is definitely for hair that needs or wants to be weighted down. It left my curls stiff/heavy and frizzy which was a new combination I didn't know I could achieve. It might work well on a looser curl but my ringlets were not happy. Also, my hairstylist mentioned to only apply to the bottom of the hair which I found a good tip due to the weight.Lisa T.

Absolutely love this and all kevin products. So I am a stylist and I do work with his products but I'm not going to give an honest review. Smooth again is amazing for thick, frizzy, curly or just unruly hair. It smells amazing and isn't crazy heavy. When doing blowouts I love to layer smooth again and distribute it through the hair really well them top it with anti gravity and holy crap you will have a voluminous, bouncy shiny smooth blowout that lasts 😍. Yes the products are pricey but it's literally skin care for your hair amd they last forever!emilly.t

I was a little disappointed with this product. Although it did not leave my hair crunchy, it also did not hold my waves. Keracare Natural Textures Butter Cream is a moisturiser not a styling product. I found this product worked best when using a surface free moisturising shampoo and conditioner. I bought this thinking it was more for styling because I heard it gave good definition; this product does give good definition and reduces frizz, however found there was still shrinkage and my hair was still puffy. My hair is thick, but the product didn't stretch the curls at all and was a little heavy. I have used other moisturising products that stretches my curls more, but admittedly it does say it's for moisturising. I have purchased the defining custard for styling but heard this can be crunchy,so will apply the butter cream after. Hopefully the product will work better!Lilly

I don't know what was wrong with this product but it smelled awful. I've purchased this makers product a number of times and the smell wasn't over whelming and it was light with a floral scent. But this product smelled OLD! As if it had been setting on the shelf for a while and whomever needed to get rid of it due to it expiration date. I rubbed some of the product in my hands and there were clumps in jar. I don't know what the shelf life of these products are but this one was not good in my opinion. The gel is great. My hair loves it and all it does is enhance my 2b/2c hair, BUT the dang jar packaging of the 8oz is a child of the devil. I have feared dropping this and the multi-tasking conditioner in my shower and loosing it all down the drain. TONIGHT IT HAPPENED. It is not how I wanted to spend my wash day, cleaning the shower with a half done head of hair because this gel is very slippery and clings everywhere. This is dangerous combination in the shower, especially when you can't see. I wear glasses and cannot see anything but a blur without them. I'm legally blind without my glasses and have feared dropping this dang jar. I was carefully trying to put the lid back on and down it went. I don't have a place to rest it to put the lid on that isn't under the shower head, so I had to do it while trying to hold the product in my hand to use and put the lid on. I lost it all and what was left of my wash day sanity. I will not be buying this product for a while as it is expensive for a gel, but once I've used up some others, I'll only buy the 16oz for the pump packaging alone. If the jar packaging was a way of getting people to buy more because they drop it, great job marketing team. Us visually disabled people cannot stand jar packaging for hair and face products for this very reason, plus I have no idea where it went because I cannot see to find the dad-blast-it thing. Please consider becoming a company more aware of the consequences of packaging types on persons with disabilities. Jar packaging also causes all kinds of issues with contamination and loss of nutrients due to the open nature of the jar.Dena

I'm not getting enough definition from this. I'm not sure if it's my hair type or the condition of my hair, but it's not working its magic for me. I bought the mini-size, which makes it easy to dispense. I have read reviews saying consistency is hard to handle in the jar. I think it would be better in a larger tube. I am not sure if I need to use more product or if it's just not the product for me. I'm still trying to re-establish my curl pattern, so I was really hoping this would help with definition because that's my ultimate goal. I received this product for free from Curlsmith in exchange for my honest review. The Curl Defining Souffle from Curlsmith is a game changer. This product smells amazing and has an almost tropical scent to it. The texture is, indeed, like a souffle. At first I thought it was too liquid-y to have that soft souffle texture, but as soon as I touched the product for the first time I realized that it did have some solidity to it. I used this on damp hair. This product is a bit heavy, but it held my curls beautifully. The one downside to this product is that it does leave a bit of a white residue in my hair. Of all of the curling creams I have tried this is by far my favorite! It does a good job at defining my curls and holding them into place. It also works really well when I want to do a twist out. I love using this mousse. It really brings out my curls. It's a good value it's not too expensive I just wish it was a bigger size cause I have really long hair past my shoulders. It supposed to be 24 hours hi definition but it lasts 6 hours for me. I purchased this product at Walgreens. I have very thick and frizzy hair that is almost impossible to manage. I was looking for something that would allow me to look nice while wearing my hair down. This mousse works very well in doing that. My curls lasted for a long period of time. I even slept with my hair down and they still looked good. This product did a great job at preventing frizz in my hair as well. My only issue with this product is that it made my hair look darker or slightly wet the entire time it was in my hair. It didn't cause crunchy curls, it just caused my hair to look darker than it is. I am very pleased with this product and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have quick and easy curls.emily.d

My hair is fine and thin. I use a cream hair gel and mousse to tame my curls, so I have quite a bit of product to wash out after 2 days of not washing. That's the longest I can go without shampooing, even though they say longer is best. I typically lose quite a bit of hair when I shampoo for some reason. My typical routine between shampoos is to rinse my hair with water as best as I can then use a regular conditioner to ease out the tangles. I bought this product to give a try, since I heard that co-washing curly hair is better. While using this product I felt like my hair wasn't as clean as I would want it to be and still felt the need to use a regular conditioner. I'm glad I didn't buy the larger bottle. was def excited to try a hair gel complimentary from DevaCurl for my honest opinion that claims to be not crunchy. I'm always very skeptical about products that claim to work hair miracles because I've experienced many let downs.. One difference about this is it says to work it in while curls are soaking wet. I still did get a little frizz but nothing like with what i usually use. I would purchase this and recommend it to other curly people. Yes! Her hair is fly-away frizzy with light curls like mine, and I think she'll appreciate this as I do. Even when I unthinkingly put a cheap gel on first one day (that I usually layer on when my hair is dried), it came out great with the 2 products piggybacked! And the effect lasts a few days between washings. I just need to fluff it up with a pic, even teasing parts a bit (I'm THAT old!) then smoothing over and applying hairspray. I did like the previous formulation better; I s'ppose the company got shamed into changing it (due to a TV documentary). But this is a great product for my fine hair.joyce

I used to use the Arc Angel gel and always liked it. I switched to Ouidad, which works great, but if I leave Ouidad on my hair for too many days without washing it, my scalp gets itchy. I saw Deva had changed the formula so I gave it a try. The gel has a nice thick consistency and you don't need a lot, which is great, however, you don't get nearly the definition and shine you used to get with Arc Angel. At the end of the day my hair is frizzy, the next day it's really a mess. I'm going to go back to Ouidad and just try a different formula. If you were a fan of Arc Angel, prepare to be disappointed.Mary

First time using got2b hair spray and I am quite happy with it! First, the ingredients seem to be better for your hair. If you regularly use hair products, you know it can really dry out and even damage your hair. When applied, its really light and your hair has a texture to it, which I am guessing thats where the texturing of this product comes in. It also has a really nice, light scent to it. As far as holding hair in place, it did well for all my crazy short hair that keeps falling out of my high bun. Afterwards, it was still pretty easy to brush through my hair without having the sticky feeling some sprays leave behind. I have a long straight hair that doesnt hold curls very well. When I saw That this product was released I was extremely excited. Not only is it extremely affordable, it doesnt have residue or stickiness. It does smell nice however I wish that they would refrain from using fragrance in their products but since it is formulated without parabens or sulfates I guess I will call that a small win. After doing a light curl throughout my hair I sprayed this in afterwards to hold the loose curls and give my finishing look a beachy wave. I absolutely love this salt spray! The smell is amazing and reminds me of the beach. It gives me the perfect textured beach waves without any frizz or greasy looking strands. I use it on my dry hair to add some volume and I use it when I get out of the shower for defining curls with a wonderful scent. It works amazingly and I've never found another product that compares even remotely. My natural hair is curly, kinky, dry, and frizzy that goes down to my lower back for comparison. Cantu is definitely an excellent brand. My hair suffers from frizziness, dryness and flat curls. My friend, who has excellent curls, recommended Cantu to me so I bought a bunch of products during the sale not really having my hopes high because I have been really disappointed with recommended (and not recommended) products in the past. I have had a lot of negative coments on my hair especially given my new job which requires a neat and tidy appearance (they don't mind the curls, but they do mind the frizziness and the fact that it looks like a bird's nest most of the time even though I have product in it) My main concern is that the product does it job with minimal effort and doesn't break the bank. Even without the sale, I do believe Cantu is a super affordable brand. I have used this hydrating curling cream both in combination with another Cantu product and as a standalone and I am super impressed. Omg this hair masque makes my hair super Soft and moisture; it just makes my hair knots melts. It has a great scent. It moisture and hydrate my curls, it also notices it has strengthened my hair and a small amount goes a long way. The texture of this hair masque is very smooth and creamy. I feel like Cantu really thought about this product and it shows. It's full of amazing ingredients including avocado oil, and honey. I had never heard of baobab oil, but from what I've read, it's full of antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids. I tried the masque on my daughter and although it may not have been enough moisture for her hair, it did seem to hydrate it and refresh her hair's shine. This is my first time writing a review. I’ve tried so many products. ☹️ I have 3c high porosity hair that is very difficult to keep moisturized without weighing down my hair. It appears reading ingredients lists really matter. Shea butter and coconut oils do not agree with my hair. The theobroma grandflorum seed butter is this product is more moisturizing than Shea butter and isn’t heavy. I apply more in my ends and it really helps with frizziness and I can apply a small amount to my ends everyday.TJ

I don’t ever leave reviews because everyone’s experience is different. However, Alodia has been the BEST products for my hair type ( think I’m a3b) and have made my daughter a believer. She has the 4C, thick course hair. She used the shampoo along with the deep conditioning masque and curl enhancing butter. She said her hair is the softest it’s ever been and she was able to comb through her hair for the first time with ease. I had tried this product originally through their website right at the start of the pandemic March 2020. It truly helped my hair grow back after the stress of life and getting older caused some major thinning. I loved it but started trying other options because this wasn’t in stores. When I heard they were coming to Target, I was truly excited but wasn’t in my local one. I made it a point to get to the nearest one that had it available and bought each of the shampoo, deep conditioner, the hair & scalp oil, and curl enhancing butter. I’ve also tried the soothing oil. I want to be 100% clear here: the bottle pictured is for a new line to Redken's extensive products, CURVACEOUS, and the bottle pictured is for the already discontinued packaging. The product was introduced Winter of 2015 and repackaged by Spring 2016 (the bottles are now a grass green color). I am a licensed Cosmetologist, and I work in a Redken Salon (educated in a Redken franchise school "TSPA" so I am VERY familiar with every Redken product ever made). This line was developed specifically for people with wavy to curly hair, and it contains proteins, sugar crystals (to help curls reform into their natural shape), and Moranga oil (to provide deep moisture for dehydrated, porous curls). All Redken shampoos/conditioners are considered "treatment" shampoos and conditioners. I love this one for all hair types, even straight hair, because it is very concentrated (put a small amount in your hand then add water from the faucet!) so a small 8.5-10 oz bottle can outlast any gallon of cheap drugstore brand. I love this particular shampoo/conditioner line because it is amongst the lowest sulfate content (not a fan of the newest "high foam" formula for people who are convinced lather = clean) because it is the safest for color or otherwise chemically treated hair. Got a perm? Get curvaceous so it'll last and look its best! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this conditioner because it is extremely lightweight and designed to be used as a rinse out OR a leave-in! I find even in the salon, most people don't know this (even other Redken trained professionals like myself). So, for anyone with extremely dry, brittle, dull, damaged hair, especially those with a 3c-4c curl pattern, this conditioner can provide the best hydration, curl formation, and deep penetration of necessary proteins and oils to strengthen, improve, and add shine. This is a truly brilliant professional salon product, and Redken is amongst the most affordable of all professional salon products on the open market. LOVE IT!! (Be sure to look for it in salons ONLY as drugstores, supermarkets, and stores like Target or websites like O.co and Amazon are now carrying expired, discontinued, and even counterfeit products in violation of the contractual agreements these companies have to be sold ONLY by licensed professionals). Be sure to look for this with salons and other licensed professionals authorized to sell Redken products (Ulta Beauty is an excellent choice!) and look for it in the GREEN bottle, not this discontinued BLUE bottle. The styling/treatment products such as Rewind, Ringlet, and Full Swirl are all fantastic, too. Absolutely worth the money! In fact, when used correctly, you'll SAVE money over the water, sulfate, silicone, petroleum, alcohol, and filler infused junk you get at the drugstore that goes down the drain faster than your money and does nothing but leave your hair coated with petroleum and dimethicone giving the illusion your hair is softer and healthier when it's actually getting dryer and more damaged. I have loads of very fine, very curly hair. I've often been one of those that try new products and then try something else once it's halfway gone because it's only OK. Not this product. This product is what first introduced me into the wonderful moroccanoil family! It provides shine, hold, volume, and moisture! How I found such a gem was a miracle! So glad my beautician recommended this to me. Anytime I need my curls to stay and not be frizzy I use this mousse! I have long, fine hair with below-average thickness (not thin, but definitely not thick). I have been getting American Waves (a chemical process similar to a perm) for six months, which gives me a 2A/2B very loose waves. (My natural texture is "bendy", a mix of type 1 and 2A.) This is one of many products I have tried for air-dry styling*. I have used medium-hold gels, salt sprays, mousses, and air-dry creams. This is my favorite product so far for Day 1 results, but doesn't perform as well on Day 2+. What I like: – Like other Moroccanoil products, the smell is amazing and not too strong. – Very rich thick foam (definitely feels like a luxe product) – Gives nice definition and volume on Day 1 – Lightly moisturizing and doesn't weigh my hair down – Not sticky at all What I don't like: – It's pricey – On Day 2+, my hair looked "mussed". I still had good definition, but my whole head had more of a frizzy/fuzzy "halo" that I get with my favorite products (or no products). That said, I am still inexperienced with wavy styling, so that might be due to my (lack of) refresh technique. I am going to experiment with that, and see if I get better results. * I have found that my wash technique has a bigger impact on my results than the styling product I use. I wash with Kenra volumizing shampoo and scrunch in their conditioner, wet plopping in a shower cap before rinsing. Then I dry-plop in a microfiber towel after scrunching in a styling product (or not). After air drying, I zhuzh the roots for volume. Different products can improve the definition and volume, but this routine seems to be what makes or breaks the shape, spring, and clumpiness of the waves.Jessica

Of all three Curl Boss products I've gotten and tried, this is BY FAR my favourite. I used it alongside the shampoo and conditioner. First of all, the texture is creamy and adheres well to my hair without weighing it down – a really important aspect to boost curls ! It defined my natural curls and really tamed the frizz like no other product I've used. I even slept on my hair and woke up the next morning with almost no more frizz than the night before ! I really recommend trying this out, you won't be disappointed. The smell is very nice, somewhat fresh and floral but is also subtle (which is great if you use other beauty products or fragrance, there aren't too many smells at once!) Curl boss girl cream is hands down my favorite curl cream. I’m so happy I found this company. It’s so clean for one. I don’t like to wash my hair everyday and usually with other creams they get sticky after one use. This stuff is like a leave in conditioner with the benefits of keeping my curls in place. All I do the the next day after one use is wet my curls, scrunch a quarter size of curl boss into my hair, and I’m good to go. With that being said, wow what a incredible hair mask!! We used it on my boyfriend and my own hair. After we left it on for the allotted time we shampooed and conditioned as normal and our scalp felt extremely moisturized and clean. A very luxurious hair mask that I will be purchasing again. This is a very good multitasking product. It help retain moisture, it reduces frizz, and makes my daughters extremely curly, thick hair very manageable. She is even able to brush her own hair out because of the detangling ability of this product. Definitely a must buy for curly girls!!Tina A.

After shampooing my hair I towel dry my long color treated hair very gently with a water absorbing towel and put a few pumps of the 14 in 1 Miracle Worker into my hands, rub them together and apply to my hair from midway down to the ends. I can then let it air dry while I sleep and wake up to a gentle wave in my hair. If my hair looks slightly frizzy during the week, i will pull into a ponytail, wet my hands with water and slightly dampen my hanging ponytail hair before putting a few pumps of 14 in 1 Miracle Worker into my hands, rubbing together and disperse onto my long haired ponytail. It makes my hair look soft with a light wavy bend and never feels sticky when dry. It works even better than higher priced conditioning products that I have purchased in the past.Georgia P.

I bought this because I recently had to have brain surgery due to a brain bleed, and my scar was itching like crazy. This sooths my scalp and stops the itch as soon as I spray it on, wet or dry hair. It also helps with the frizz, enhances my waves. I like that it prevents breakage and strengthens. It's moisturizing. It helps detangle. It's super affordable. The only thing I don't like about it, is the spray nozzle, a lot of times it comes out in clumps, and it makes a mess on the bottle. I would definitively recommend this.christina.h

This is my new favorite hair product. As someone with a lot of hair, but very fine hair, it’s hard to find a product that doesn’t weigh me down- this allows for my hair to have shape and volume that lasts. The best results I’ve had came from using a denman brush to curl my hair, smoothing the roots over once. This method achieved beautiful formed waves for three days after. Verb is much less expensive than other curl products I’ve tried and it out performs all of them. I would highly recommend this to anyone with loose curls or waves, especially those with fine frizz prone hair like me. For reference I use this after I wash my hair with a kevin murphy cowash. Wow, I love this! I was hesitant because I see a lot of influencers use it and I always worry that that over hype things. But it really does reduce frizz and hold curl. A little goes a very long way, so it is easy to overdo it. My hair is 2C/3A and I live in a pretty dry climate and this was the perfect balance. I will say it did seem to "weigh down" my hair a bit more than other products, however, I'll take slightly less volume to have non-frizzy and light curls. I love Verb products. This one was new to me, but I had to try it. Glad I did! My tired, frizzy, permed curls were dying quickly. I needed a pick- me- up for them and this did the trick. A little, tiny bit goes a long way – all of Verb is like this. I love that because the product lasts, which means I'm not spending a fortune on hair, but getting a good, quality product. Also, the curl lasted all day until the next shower. It's not greasy, smells nice and not like a bunch of grocery store chemicals. It actually lifts my curls and gives a bit of volume without weighing them down like some creams can do. There's movement and the styling is natural, but stays in place.GuenX

I really like that this product is free of parabens and sulfates. This product is made with vegan ingredients and it has coconut water to help keep your hair in place, healthy, frizz free, scrunched to your desire, and most importantly controlled. I love that it has a pleasant scent to it. I do wish I wouldn’t have to use so much of the product around my hair line to control my broken off pieces of hair that curl and tend to stick up though. However, the product definitely does help to tame and control them when I use a little extra in that area. Overall, this is definitely one of my go-to hair gels to use to scrunch my hair or even just to gel my hair back when I put it up in a bun or ponytail. Alright it's review time!!! I recieved this complementary product from garnier as well as the curl moisturizing spray. The products are ideally used on curly hair, however i used them on body wave hair. (The only other products i had in my hair was moose) With the help of flexi rods, i was able to get loose soft wavy curls, and i only left it in for about an hour! I find that moose alone makes the curls tight, however the crunchy gel, despite the name, will not have your hair looking dry or stiff, your curls remain soft! The great thing about this product is i discovered it can work on looser hair textures. It smells great, and not to mention my favorite thing about it is it's light weight, doesn't leave a sticky feel on my hands, AND there's no residue. I do plan to use these products again. Im giving it a 4. It would get a 5 if it had a stronger hold.melissa.d

Awesome gel for my curly hair. I like that it doesn't make my hair feel too hard but its also strong enough to hold my curls. Its very inexpensive and smells really really good. It lasts all day long but isn't hard to wash out in the shower eitherkayla.j
