I have been using the Unite 7 Seconds leave in conditioner for a few years. Normally I purchase it at a local salon but found this deal on Groupon so I decided to give it a try. It does not smell right. In fact, it smells pretty terrible. I m not sure if it is a counterfeit product or just sat on a shelf too long but it is definitely not the same as the product I purchased in the salon. I mixed a few pumps purple conditioner with 3 drops of these drops and worked it through each section of hair. And I have a lot of hair, so I used a LOT of purple conditioner + these drops. I applied it to dry hair and let it set about 40 min or so. Then I washed with clarifying shampoo and conditioned it really well. Adding the purple drops to the purple conditioner was an amazing pre-wash hair treatment which made my hair so silky… AND it really toned my hair! I can't believe how cool toned it is now! This is the way to make your hair completely brass free- Take a squirt bottle and pour in a little leave in conditioner. Then put this stuff in. No exact measurement, just whatever you feel is right and soak your hair, put it back in a bun and let it stay in there for as long as you possibly can. And to be honest I even put the stuff straight into my hair by itself with some places and a day and a half later take it out rinse it out and go about my wash routine in the shower and holy crap. I wanted to love this product so much but it had a major design flaw. Unlike a shampoo or conditioner where you saturate your hair completely, this is a styling product which is impossible to distribute evenly to every strand unless you soak your hair in it. The pigment is amazing and definitely neutralizes all yellow tones, but even when applied to a carrying product, it's still impossible to distribute evenly. The moment it hits your hair it neutralizes the yellow, so you end up with white (or purple) strands mixed with yellow. If you comb your hair in attempt to distribute it, it's too late. And if you add more product to specific sections in attempt to even it out, you can very easily end up with purple patches. The only way I could see this product being used is if you added it to your shampoo or conditioner. I received this product complimentary in a voxbox. I will say this product definitely works. However I have red hair not blonde. It did strip out some of the darker tones in my hair making it lighter (I didn’t hate the end result). This shampoo is not recommended for red hair especially red hair that is dyed. Although most red dyes have purple deposits and red deposits in them the purple cancels out the yellow/ golden tones. Overall the product did as it described it smells amazing and you do definitely get results from day one. I have rated this five stars as I continually rebut this product. It’s always In my bathroom. I have naturally blonde hair which I do have coloured every few months to lighten it a little and this really helps to re brighten my hair. I will say however that I have to change my shampoo and conditioner regularly as it almost stops working on my hair but I do always go back to this product however I only use this a few times a month, and it helps maintain not only my colour but doesn’t strip my hair and make it feel dry when washed. This drying lotion is magical!!! I use this overnight as a spot treatment on little suckers that pop up on my face, and by the morning they are barely noticeable! Since all pimples are different types, I’d say this tends to work really effectively on about 70% of mine. To be clear, this product dries out the pimple (so I’m not sure why Amazon asks reviewers to rate the moisturizing characteristic, as this does not moisturize). It doesn’t smell great, but it’s definitely tolerable. And it does leave a pink color on your skin when you apply it, so I would recommend only using it overnight or when you’re at home. I wanted to love this brand and especially this product, but I can't. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks in to using the shampoo and conditioner. My scalp first started getting dry and itchy, which has never been a problem for me. About 3 weeks in, excessive amounts of hair started coming out when I washed or brushed my hair. My hair wasn't falling out in clumps, but it was more than normal, causing me to be concerned about the cause. About 1 month in, there was a lot of dandruff, irritation on my scalp, and parts of my scalp were getting crusty, almost like a had massive dandruff buildup. I want to preface this that I have never had any of these problems with other brands, including other inexpensive brands, high end brands, and custom shampoo. I used other Kristin Ess product including the scalp scrub, detangler, and the scalp every day conditioner. I stoped using these products and stuck with just the shampoo and conditioner to see if my symptoms improved. My symptoms continued to worsen and I realized that it was the shampoo and conditioner causing all of my problems. I even showed my hairdresser and she thought that the brand was good because it claims to be vegan and and lacks bad ingredients. There is something in these products that caused all of my symptoms and is not good at least for my hair type. I would strongly encourage using another brand to avoid dealing with the symptoms I experienced. I am not saying you will have the same problems, but for me, it was awful. Let me preface this by saying, yes, the purple helped tone my highlighted hair within the first use. I only use the conditioner, and I only wash my hair twice a week. It's okay at conditioning, but after just 2 uses, my hair felt almost sticky after air drying, and was frizzy and weighed down. That happens when there's too much buildup, and it can happen to my fine hair quickly (although never that quick.) I used a baking soda rinse as a clarifier and a different conditioner. I normally have a darker blonde hair but get it highlighted a brighter blonde, I got it colored recently back in January, and it was starting to look brassy. I picked some of this shampoo up from my local ULTA store and have used it 3x so far and my hair is looking a lot brighter and less brassy! I typically use BB for my everyday shampoo and conditioner and I love it so much, it smells good and makes my hair soft. And the last time I used a purple shampoo, it was Redken and ended up making my hair purple and wouldn't come out. So far I’m moderately content with this shampoo. I bought on a whim as I was having issues with my current toning shampoo. I’m naturally a bit of a warmer blonde and I get highlights. What I love about this shampoo is that compared to any other toning shampoo I’ve tried it leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy, not dried out and hard to manage. Which to me is huge as i’ve tried many salon brands and have not been as happy with how my hair felt afterward. What I’m not loving at the moment is that after two washes I haven’t noted much of a toning effect – I can usually get my hair more on the silvery spectrum when toning with other purple based shampoos. What I haven’t tried yet is applying to my hair and letting it sit for 15-20 minutes before showering rather than just the recommended 2-3 minutes while wet in shower, nor have I paired it with the toning conditioner. I’m very picky when it comes to my blonde hair care products. The past 7 years, I’ve tried a lot of different shampoos/conditioners/masks for upkeep. Since I (try) to stay a very icy platinum, it can be challenging to find products that do not dry my hair out, do absolutely nada or stain it purple for that matter. Being blonde takes upkeep. I have tried soo many blonde shampoos/conditioners. I have only found a few that give great results. This set of shampoo/conditioner is one of them. The difference between this particular brand and others is that this shampoo does not dry out my hair. There are a few great shampoos out there, but your hair gets very dried out in the process. This is amazing and definitely my new system for my blonde. The “glow shampoo” work so good at cleansing and brightening up your hair. The conditioner, the “mask” only continues the moisturizing and softening, as well as removing the brassiness from your hair. I have both natural and bleached/lightened hair and it works great on both. The smell is great and light also. It is a little pricey but this shampoo/ conditioner system is sooo worth it! Especially if you get your hair lightened, it prolongs the brightness and whiteness of your blonde. You definitely need to wear gloves to apply this product. I didnt have any and tried to be quick about applying it, but my hands were immediately fxcked by the chemicals. So, imagine what applying this to your hair is going to do. I have used this twice with the matching conditioner and both times my hair was a static mess. I tried different products (lotion, then oil) to lock moisture in the first time since I expected dryness from a purple shampoo and this was the day I experienced the most static. Recently I tried it again and did not use products. My hair has less static, but there is still some and that isn't a great sign. For reference, I am a warm toned brunette whose virgin hair has been balyaged twice. I live in a colder climate US state. Maybe this product will create less dryness during the summer? As for toning, I think it has helped with brassiness. Nothing too substantial to note here. I am disappointed, but I'll continue to test the product. Based on this experience I wonder if the yubi hair mask would be a better and more affordable option. It doesnt make sense to try to deposite purple pigment while cleansing your hair and it seems like a waste to have a shampoo you can only use once a week. Adds color while you shampoo. Ounce per ounce, it is a bit pricey and it doesn’t seem to lather up as much. So compared to ordinary shampoos, you may end up using more of this product to feel like you’ve gotten you hair clean enough, to where you’d expect it to be, having just washed it. It works best on color treated hair but if you’re using this product for the first time, you shouldn’t expect to see the vivid color results like the hair swatches on the website or the ads. If you’re using this shampoo to maintain your already ultra-bright hair color, it should work beautifully— provided you follow the directions carefully. If you’re starting with hair that’s just been bleached light blonde or platinum, you should see great results too— provided you allow it enough time (several minutes) to soak in. If you’re building on hair that’s been dyed, but it’s a “normal “ hair color, then you’ll likely get wonderful jewel tones. Pretty, but nowhere near the bright colors you saw, that probably got your attention. Use nylon or plastic gloves. At first, I felt it went without saying because it IS hair coloring, but after reading several other comments, I want to reiterate: even though gloves are not included, they are recommended. And just like with traditional hair color, you should also apply a thin layer of protection around your hairline before using this product too. You can use either a proprietary product or your own, just create some kind of a barrier with an oil-based product (like Vaseline or AD ointment) something that won’t be absorbed but rather prevent the color from soaking into your skin while you’re waiting for the color to set. It keeps my hair smooth, my purple hair vibrant, and just overall my hair hasn’t been healthier. Thank you so very much! It keeps my hair purple for over 18 weeks between hair appointments to refresh the color. I’m sure I could go longer without having to see my stylist thanks to using this to wonder shampoo, but l like to make sure my hair stays healthy. The only cons I would say aside from it being really good, is that it does stain the tub every time I use it, but I found borax soap cleans it up nicely. Aside from that, it’s a bit pricey for such a slim bottle and I have to use quite a bit because I have really long hair. Since my brunette hair can't hold purple color very long, I was going through desperate lengths to keep it looking fresh and vibrant. I was limiting hair washing down to 3 times a week, using the coldest water I could stand and top of the line shampoos/conditioner that either specialize in fade prevention or advertise color protection; I even installed a soft water filter in my shower head! My stylist recommended me get it colored every 6 weeks, due to it just washing down the drain in a matter of weeks and that is just something I can't afford to do that often; She educated me of this line and I cant live without it!! My hair looks as it did the day I left the salon. This stuff has saved me so much money because it is no longer necessary for me to get my hair colored every 6 weeks, but more like 3 or 4 times a year! Sometimes it dries my hair out, but nothing a leave in conditioner or deep conditioning treatment can't fix. If I could change one thing it would be them offering a much larger size, because I go through this every 2 – 3 months or so. Yes it will get everywhere and could stain your tub/shower but I use a tile cleaner with bleach and it eliminates all of it as if nothing happened. I also don't use this alone, I layer my favorite color protection shampoo over the colorwash and fade prevention(moisture adding) conditioner over the colorditioner, both assist with shine, keep it maintained and preventing my hair from getting brittle. I have been using Tigi hair products for a few years now. This is the first time that I have purchased this particular hair duo. For me, its not a good as the other products that I have used. It made my head feel a bit dry and I found that I was scratching my head later in the day when using this. As soon as I used my elasticate Tigit shampoo and conditioner the itchiness went away. I called and asked if AMR could send one, half expecting they would have supplied it in the first instance as Adore Beauty do. I was then told I would be charged $10 shipping for a $3 pump. Smells divine I love this conditioner as its incredibly thick and easy to apply in my long hair. It combs through nicely, and I personally left it on for about 10 minutes in the shower. It left my hair feeling incredibly soft and silky. Any damage from dying felt minimised espeically on the ends, and the colour was more radiant especially the gold flecks and shimmery. When drying my hair and combing it out, I found I had less breakage than normal. I dont usually write reviews, but I had to for this product!! I bleached my virgin black hair to achieve a lockdown 'highlights' look and ever since the bleach my hair has been extremely damaged. I've tried Olaplex and a shampoo and conditioner recommended by my hairdresser but I genuinely don't think I've managed to achieve results like this product. I am usually concerned about how a new shampoo will work in my hair because I have an oily scalp. I shampoo my hair daily for that reason. This shampoo made my hair feel so clean and soft. My scalp didn't feel oily and dirty 24 hours later like it does with a lot of shampoos that I've tried. Smells like, well… shampoo. Nothing offensive or overwhelming about the scent. Washes just fine, but what shampoo with sulfates doesn’t? I wash my hair maybe twice a week, as more than that is serious overkill; I can’t be the only one with a WFH job these days, so doing my hair in anything other than a 30 second bun is asking a bit much. I will say I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t fully strip my hair, as most sulfate laden shampoos tend to do, so that was cool. Not sure how much, if any, difference the purple coloring did for my blonde hair….as I’m fairly certain my hairdresser (who I’ve seen once in the past 12 months) will make more of a difference. We will soon be (finally!) going home to the BFs country where summer will be in full swing when we arrive….I’m looking forward to seeing if this shampoo conditioner make a difference as the sun bleaches the bejeezus outta my hair. So this actually arrived at a great time, as I just lightened my hair and it was super brassy!! Works like a charm!! It definitely toned down those yellows and left my hair feeling clean, yet hydrated. Far better than other blue/purple shampoos I’ve used in the past. The shampoo itself is a DEEP purple, almost black, and I have to say I was a little hesitant, but I went ahead anyway and I was happy I did. It provides great lather, turns the bubbles a lovely shade of lavender and smells phenomenal. I am usually sensitive to fragrances, and this isn’t overly floral or heavy, just a light, clean scent.
