Best Razor For Body Hair (2024 Update)

5/5 Out of the shower Actually quite satisfying watching all the hairs fall off my legs. Quite flawless performance when it comes to out of the shower experience. This CUTS, mows down every single hair you can see. 1/5 In the shower The hair will stick to your body and that will make it harder to actually shave those hairs. Ended up nicking my armpit multiple times with this too. 3/5 For noise This is loud, like you can hear it from a room and maybe 2 rooms away. Everyone in the house will know you're shaving yourself. 4/5 Shaving length It's like 1mm of hair left on the legs so it's not perfect but it's still amazing for an electric shaver. Overall 3/5 I would use this more often but it's both noisy and hard to use in the shower. Other than those 2 gripes, it performs well everywhere else. I was shaving in the shower for 30 minutes and another 10 minutes out of the shower, it still has juice left to use. I recently got the Philips Norelco Bodygroom, a two in one trimmer and shaver. It must be said, up front, that this is a ***body*** hair trimmer and shaver… intended for your back, shoulders, chest, abs, underarm, arms, groin and legs. OOB, you get the two in one body hair trimmer/shaver, a cleaning brush, a proprietary charger, instructions, and a registration pamphlet. I am a hairy guy. Not quite sasquatch level, but not too far off, at least according to my wife. I have coarse hair also. It takes a pretty powerful shaver/trimmer to tame what I have going on. The short version is that the Philips Norelco Bodygroom has what it takes to get the job done, but please read on. You get a four-way contouring/pivoting shaver that first cuts your hair (with pre-cut blades on either side of the foil) and then foil shaves it down. I typically trim my chest, etc. with an adjustable trimmer head to a little over a 1/4 inch. But, for the purpose of this review, I charged the bodygroom (the green LED blinked while charging and turned solid green when done) and tried the foil shaver on the upper portion of my chest, to give the area shape. It did a great job. Close, smooth, exact… and no nicks. Note that you do not need to put a lot of pressure on the Bodygroom as you move it across your body. The way that the housing is ergonomically shaped (with a non-slip housing) is perfectly positioned to give you the right amount of pressure and surface drag. And, this was a dry shave. Yes, there was some irritation as a result of the dry shave, but that’s to be expected… and the irritation went away pretty quickly. For the remainder of my body hair, I used the adjustable trimmer head. The trimmer head offers 5 trim lengths, ranging from 1/8” (3mm) to 7/16” (11mm). It includes a guard that is easy to adjust with one finger, as well as self-sharpening blades. I had my wife take care of my back (my first time doing that, for which she was very happy). In the shower, shower off, I took care of my arm pits, chest, and other areas. There were instances where the hair “clogged” the trimmer guard, but I haven’t had a trimmer guard yet where that didn’t happen. Turn it over, shake it off, keep soldiering through. Easy enough. After cleaning up the shag carpet on the shower floor, so as not to block up my drain, I then showered and, with the water running (and given the Bodygroom is “showerproof”/water-resistant – but don’t submerge it (e.g., in a bathtub or sink), of course), took another go. At no point (dry or wet) was there an instance when there was a pinch or pull due to the trimmer blades. The self-sharpening trimmer blade was key here. My one gripe about the use of the Bodygroom was that there were instances where I could feel “drag” from the trimmer guard across more sensitive areas. It wasn’t unbearable. And, after a little I was able to learn how to maneuver to avoid the drag. But, this isn’t my first rodeo with body hair trimmers. Yet, this was the first guard with which I experienced the issue. After all was said and done, I dried the Bodygroomer, removed the trimmer guard, popped off the blade head, and cleaned the Bodygroom using the included brush. Super easy. According to the specs, the lithium ion battery in the Bodygroomer takes an hour to charge and offers 80 minutes of use. After a full charge, I used it for about 40 minutes total. It didn’t bog down once. I did recharge it before storing it and will likely charge it again before use, as I tend to go a little bit between “grooming” sessions. Other than keeping this thing clean, there’s no other maintenance. No oiling, no blade sharpening… nothing. Also, Philips Norelco offers a 5-year warranty. The manufacturer does make replacement shaving foil heads and shaving foil head cleaning spray, so just how long the foil head will last remains to be seen. A few minor bones to pick. You cannot use this device while you are charging it – but, given you’re likely to use it in the shower, with the shower running… not being able to charge it while using it is likely a good thing. In addition, I wish it came with a case that held the Bodygroom, the charger, and the brush. I’ll likely end up throwing it in an oversized zipper sandwich bag but a travel bag would’ve been a very solid addition. So, worth buying? Absolutely. For the reasons provided above, the Philips Norelco Bodygroom is a solid four star purchase and worth every penny. It’s ergonomic, easy to handle, provides two cutting surfaces (a foil shaver with pre-cutting blades and an easy to clean trimmer with self-sharpening blades and a 5-position adjustable guard), and thanks to those cutting surfaces gives you the versatility needed to shave your back, shoulders, chest, abs, underarm, arms, groin and legs. It holds a great charge and has enough power to make short work (see what I did there) of coarse body hair with zero problems. I wish it came with a travel bag, but c’est la vie. Time consuming. Multiple passes required. 90% efficient, therefore 30 mins later after a body shave 10% hair still missed. Occasionally came across a block of hair that just wouldn't shave after multiple passes at varied angles and I remembered how my battery operated trimmer got most hair on first pass. The angle of motion must be just right to get a clean shave. Suffered rashes after. I gave it 5 stars as the negative experience was perhaps my own and the product shaves as advertised And shaving can cause discomfort to the skin. However the name says Trimmer! So im confused, does it shave or trim? Personally im going back to real trimming.Marko

I’ve had this for 24 mths and rate this at 3 stars. Why? I am by no means a Sasquatch and it takes 2 mths until another shave is required. My scoring is that the first shave with fresh blades is super, the 2nd shave a couple mths later is now good (not super) and by the 3rd use I’m really having to drag the unit forcefully across the area which results in some cuts and a struggle to shave the actual hair. So it is my opinion that the poor life span of the blades drags the score down to a 3. Although I’ve discussed this with store consultants, use the cleaning spray, maintain and clean the device, essentially it’s dives down in effectiveness in a hurry after the first 2 uses with fresh blades. I won’t be replacing the blades but instead looking for an alternate solution for my next shave.Mars

I have used the BakBlade a couple of times since my purchase. I will only shave wet, as I am not brave enough to do it dry. Anyway, there is just a learning curve for me. The first time I cut myself in a couple of places. That could be I was using a little too much force and just getting used to shaving my back which is awkward because you can't see it. The next time I eased up on the pressure and only had one very small nick. I have recently been practicing on my legs, chest, arms to see if I can find that perfect angle. No nicks doing that so I will try those techniques on my back. Just a thought, a very detailed instructional video discussing pressure to apply, the angle you should hold the BakBlade, and the best method for the different parts of the back would be great. I love love love this razor! After my favorite razor broke I’ve been on the hunt for a new one and so far this one is my favorite! The light alone makes this razor amazing and worth it as it helps me see everything I usually can’t! The cut is nice and keeps my legs smooth. The only complaint is sometimes it takes a few passes to get stubborn hairs but I can over look it as the light really helps keep an eye on them to make sure you finally get them. For the people complaining about the " Knicks ", you literally get cuts from any razor. This is a trimmer, not a straight head. I have very thick dark hair and this thing is a godsend! My hair literally grows back after a singular chill, and tbh it's painful to have to shave every. Single. Day. This is wonderful for a quick dry shave especially for holes in jeans ;). So if first impressions were everything I would give this five *****. The box arrives cute and lush. It's pink, it's bold, it has tissue paper. It's so extra for a razor and I loved it. It is usb charge and charges fairly quickly. The size is great for travel, work, school, your purse, locker, overnight bag, or car. It's small and compact. I do wish it had a little carry bag for all the extra bits and cord. This is something I would keep in my car or at work for those after work emergencies. The number 1 recommendation would be for preteens. I ran it back and forth, up and down and every which way with no mercy and barely even got a white line of dry skin. Meaning it wont nick your new to puberty early learner that just wants to fit in. That is who this is best for they have minimal body hair and it's not as determined as adult body hair can be. That being said my body hair is on the fortunate side of not a lot, not very dark and normally not very stubborn. The reason I can confidently say it won't cut you is because I literally had to scrub myself with the razor to see progress. It takes several trips over one spot to clear it. It won't cut you but it is also not for winter clearing or anything more than a quick touch up for many. Unfortunately even with my short blonde minimal arm hair it was several passes. It does work to some extent but it takes several passes even on a fresh charge. So great for preteens and touch ups but not your every day razor except for areas you don't want to risk injury because it won't hurt you.Tbird

This was not exactly what I thought I was ordering for him, but he is getting used to it and now he really likes it. Says the battery is lasting a long time, many times being used and still strong. It is small and light weight, so at first it seemed "dinky" but it does a very nice job of keeping his beard at that "day-old" look that I like for him. I have a drawer with three of these that don't work. They were each great when first bought and used, but the third or fourth time it was switched on there was nothing. I changed the battery – nothing. I tried reversing the polarity of the battery installation – nothing. I tried a third battery properly installed – nothing. This is basically just an electric shaver, without the cord. It's great for shaving your feet and ankles (no cuts), but I wouldn't really recommend it for anything else. I used it in the bikini area, and ended up with bright red, chafed skin that lasted for at least two days. So I won't be doing THAT again. Also, it doesn't provide a super smooth shave, like you get with a razor. Major disappointment, as I was expecting it to be as good as the Flawless Facial hair remover, which is excellent. Got this product after a lot of research and other people telling me how much they love their other flawless products. I only had to charge it once because the battery last a long time. Well finally it died, which I recommend stopping shaving if it's close to dying. I went to charge it and it wouldn't charge. I left it sitting, thinking it was charging, it got really hot and no life. It doors work really well on the underarms. I have super sensitive skin and hate using a razor because it hurts so bad. This actually aloud me to shave my underarms without pain and got fairly close. I will say this is only really good for bikini and underarm areas.Sam

After all the hype that I read and watched online, I find it difficult to believe that this product is as popular as it appears to be. When you run an electric razor over the same area up to 10 times and your whiskers are all still there…. then there is a problem somewhere. I made sure to apply light pressure and hold the product at the proper angle (as per the instructions) and the the only difference was chaffed skin. This product did even worse on my neck. None of the whiskers were cut and I had what looked (and felt) like burn marks on my throat. This is not the most expensive electric razor on the market, by far. But it's not cheap either. It has a very lightweight "cheap feel" to it. I don't care what a razor looks like, or feels like in my hand. Those are non-issues with me. As long as the product works, I honestly don't care. That being said, this razor is poorly designed. It looks and feels like you're shaving with a 3 1/2 inch section of two-by-four. In the barber trade, Andis and Wahl are the big names in clippers shavers. When it comes to tools for finishing fades, the Andis Profoil and Wahl Shaver Shaper are the benchmarks. I bought the Andis because I like the way the shaver blades are staggered. The performance is outstanding. You shave as close as you want. But I'd have to caution anyone using this tool not to bear down hard because you'll be pushing the blades with far too much force against the foil which will wear down the foil and blades prematurely and might even produce a razor burn. Just take it easy and you'll have great results in short order.7373markh

If you’re a bald man with a beard myself then this is a great product to have! This is more of a “finishing” product. All you have to do is get your head down to stubble and and go over it with this and bam no hair left. It’s also great for lining up your beard. The only negative I would have to say is that I tend to go through the foil replacements quite a bit because I use mine so much but you have to realize it’s foil and isn’t made to last forever. I have had my electric shaver for over a year now, and dang, is it durable!! This electric shaver, is built to last! I've dropped it onto hard flooring, I've thrown it, and it didn't crack or break or dent AT ALL. There's been some instances where my shaver was dropped (hard) onto wood flooring, hard enough that it should have ended up in pieces, unusable, but has performed consistently up until now. Unfortunately, with all the use it's seen, it's just now getting to the point of needing to be replaced, but it's still working. In a world full of cheaply made crap from China, Phillips is crafting their products to the good ol' USA standards for durability and consistent performance. Would DEFINITELY recommend!! I've been using these Venus Extra Smooth refills for well over 10 years. I can say with certainty, no razor on the market works as well as these (I've tried almost all of them!). The razor glides smoothly across my skin with the help of added moisture ribbons that surround the blades. Even though the moisture ribbons do help aid in shaving, I don't recommend using the razor without some type of shave gel or cream. Venus suggests that one refill can last a month. As someone who shaves VERY often, I can completely agree with this, and usually only have to change mine out every 3-4 weeks. When using a fresh refill, the blades will be much sharper. You'll want to be a little more careful at first, but they will quickly dull to a more useable sharpness quickly. I cannot recommend these refills enough! I don't know what I would do if Venus ever took them off the market!renalee88

I decided to get myself a Razor because I wanted to get a different one for myself than the ones I normally use. When I got this one the cartridge was in the container along with the razor I just had to attach the two of them. It was not easy to get the razor out of the small container it came in. So I had to click it into the cartridge stem. There is also a button on the stem to press forward when I decide to get a replacement for the razor. It also has 5 blades for a nice and close shave. Let me just say this is by far the Best Razor I had ever used in My life. I absolutely love it. When I shaved let's just say my skin was super soft. It gave me a clean and soft shave without stubble. I have had very short hair for probably 20 years now. There's only so many options you have when your hair decides it doesn't want to grow anymore. As far as I'm concerned, I had two options. I could let it bother me and spend all kinds of money and effort trying to get my hair back in one way or another OR I could go for the military buzz and keep it short. I chose the latter and it's worked out well for me. Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, I would have my head buzzed every 10 – 14 days because I like to keep it as short as possible. Even when my hair is long (14 – 28 days without being buzzed), it's not very long at all. It's manageable and able to be easily buzzed. I have a friend who works for SportClips and before the world shut down, I would give her my business every two weeks. She would keep my head buzzed and I would contribute to her career but since that option is currently unavailable, I decided ManGroomer might be a great alternative for me. I thought of ManGroomer because I purchased "THE BACKGROOMER™" awhile back and it works just fine. Unlike the Backgroomer, my experience with the ULTIMATE PRO Self-Haircut Kit was not a good one. The clipper did not cut properly. I used several of the guards, I tried cutting without a guard and I even tried plugging in as opposed to cutting on the battery power thinking I would get more power, but the results were the same in each attempt – painful and ineffective. The clippers pulled my hair as opposed to cutting in all of my attempts. Thankfully, I have a proper set of Wahl brand hair clippers in my closet that I was able to use to shave my head without any issues after the ManGroomer Self-Cutting Kit failed me. The packaging was fantastic. The timeliness of delivery was optimal. When I emailed the company for a return and refund request, they literally returned my email and gave me a refund within minutes. It couldn't have been longer than 10 minutes. I was incredibly impressed by the response. Not only did they issue me a refund but the team encouraged me to try a couple of more times with their product. All aspects other than the actual product itself were flawless on ManGroomer's part. For this reason, I will continue to buy products from ManGroomer because customer service goes a long way with me along with the fact that I bought another one of their products that I've had zero issues with. I'm chalking this up as simply something that didn't work for me. Yes, it works and is a better solution for my back hair than anything else I ever tried (other than having someone else shave my back for me). However, even with the mangroomer, shaving your back is still not the easier thing in the world. I recommend this model over the slightly less expensive one because without the extra foil head I would not have been able to get a close enough shave. Despite being the best product on the market, I'm only giving 4 stars because it appeared to be cheaply made. Used it for the first time today and one of the red lock buttons fell off which wasn't a big deal since I was able to pop it back on, but still shouldn't have happened. Its made in CHINA, so this is expected. If Wahl came out with a similar product made in the America, I would gladly buy it instead even if it was more money.Kevin

I have purchased 2 Mangroomers and after the first I was convinced I was a lifetime customer until this last purchase. The blades no longer cut through my back hair and seem to not be made as quality as they used to be. My first model didn't have a problem going through my forest of hair but now even with the power boost all it does is tug and rip hair out. The overall quality just seems to be downgraded after making such a quality product and gaining good reviews and supporters. I'm highly disappointed that such a good product can't even do the one thing it claims to do, man groom. I really like the color of this groomer and like the little bag that zips up that can carry all the attachments. I also like that it is rechargeable and doesn't eat up batteries. The problem is that it doesn't get a very close shave. Some of the attachment heads are just useless to me. The foil shaver didn't work at all. The adjustable length guide was just a piece of junk that didn't work and I ended up removing it. It comes with a little detail trimmer and a battery. It didn't work at all. I thought maybe it was just a bad battery and replaced it with one brand new from a package that I had at home. It still didn't work. I just accepted the fact that I would not be using the detail trimmer as it appears to be broken straight out of the box. It states that you can use it wet or dry but I have only used it on dry skin and hair. It is convenient and easy to carry along with you while traveling. I used to have the old series of this trimmer that works with battery for more than 3 years before it quit. I bought this one based on my previous experience.. I'm definitely not the blessed ppl with hair. I have just enough as normal Asian ladies 😁 I only use this trimmer to trim my bikini area and armpit. I would say I'm little bit surprised how this upgraded version not really work better than my old trimmer. I really honestly surprised I have to take off the safety trim guide to make it work. I never had to do that with my old Remington bikini trimmer. I would say, if you wish to trim your body hair, this is not the one you want. You will get disappointed. This is a really nice set. It comes with every adaptor you could need, it also has an adjustable clipper blade that is three different lengths on one piece. And honestlyI think that is my favorite part or is it that this thing is WATERPROOF!?! WHAT??? Yes, you can take this thing in the shower!! I seriously love that. It's also really quiet compared to others I've used before and that is really important. It comes with a cute little zipper bag to hold all of your accessories in and it runs on a rechargeable battery. You just plug it into the wall to recharge when it gets low. They are not easy to use, they don’t shave well, and they are not as effective as I expected them to be. There are no instructions or graphics on how to use these. It took me multiple attempts to correctly drag it across my skin and actually cut any hairs. The moisture pad was only effective for the first few passes. I’m not sure if it was just my hair but I had to do probably 5 passes to get a close shave in my bikini region. I think the idea of the comb to help reduce irritation is an interesting idea, but I had to drag it across my skin so many times to get a close shave that it definitely caused way more irritation than my normal razor. The razor itself is easy to hold, the size of the head makes it easy to go over the contours of the body, and the blade does allow you to get clean lines. The razor is effective at cutting hairs but it just takes way too many passes and too much time to make it effective. Overall, these razors are just OK. They cut hair, they are precise, easy to hold, go over contours well, but it takes too many passes for me to get a close shave and I definitely have irritation from having to do so many passes, therefore I would not recommend it.SeramaMama13

I always dread shaving my bikini area in summer, it's a delicate area and I always end up with razor burn. These great razors changed all that! They have short handles and smaller blades which makes them so much easier to manuever than a full size razor. I was able to shave my bikini area quickly without any mishaps. The razors have a aloe pad on them which really helped it glide across my skin. I got a nice smooth shaved the first try and didn't experience any of the razor burn issues I normally have. A day by the pool in my swimsuit was enjoyable without embarrassing razor burn bumps or random hairs. I definitely need assistance in the bikini line area, I'm not ridiculously hairy but I have enough. I typically use razors but they take so much work and time, it's annoying. I'm also not into applying any crazy products there, forget wax too! I am amazed at how easily and smoothly this little item removes unwanted hair. I literally dragged it through a very hair populated spot and it removed it no problem. I did not even have to apply much pressure, the blade is super sharp but the shaver is setup so you can't get cut. It trims way down to the skin line as well. Love it! This is changing my bikini line game and I love it because I just ultimately have given up and just do the edges to avoid any hair sticking out of my swim suits. Not any more. This is a great shaver/trimmer. I was super surprised for the price. I have tried several Remington shavers, even some more expensive than this with terrible results. This shaver gives you no nicks and it shaves down the hairs to 1/8 of an inch! Several reviews have said it isn't a close enough shave with the head attachment on but any closer and all the hair would be shaved off. Make sure to read the instruction book because it tells you how to hold the shaver correctly for the best shave. You also can use the trimmer with the head attachment off. Definitely recommend this shaver to people who are either 1) not interested in being totally bare or 2) people who want to get the hair trimmed closer to either shave or wax the rest off.Emily-LouBob

I am unfortunately unable to provide a full review of the product as I was unable to use it in the condition it was sent to me. I noticed that the box had some minor damage/wear suggesting it had been open before. Upon closer inspection of the blade, I noticed a few very small bits of hair/fuzz. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted. I immediately contacted Ulta and received the automated response to expect a reply within 24 hours. Over a day later, still no response. I want to give Ulta the benefit of the doubt, as it is a pretty horrible thing to deceptively return such a product and claim it was never used. The hairs are faint so I could understand how they may have been overlooked, but still I would hope more care would be given, especially given the nature of the product. In my opinion, a product of this nature should always be final sale, barring mechanical defects that prevent it from functioning to begin with. I live over an hour away from my most convenient Ulta store, and it is proving to be a hassle to get this exchanged. I never anticipated I would need to send the product back or bring it into store, because even if I was disappointed with the performance, I wouldn't return it after using it. After reading several reviews on trimmers I decided to purchase this one. Great choice! I prefer a really close trim instead of a bald shave down there. I used the guard on the shortest setting and it trims the hair down to an 1/8 of an inch. The stubble it leaves is not scratchy at all. My husband loves the look and feel afterwards. The settings on the guard are great for first time trimmers with a large volume of hair. Start on setting 5 and work your way down to 1. Quick and easy to use with no nicks or snags. I would suggest reading the instructions prior to use for the best results. Would definitely recommend this product.Plesantly Pleased

Don't get your expectations too high. Performance not that great. Only can handle very very very very very very very short stubble. I initially thought there was malfunction and I just got a bad set. My Wahl trimmers did as good or better. Took a long time to get an good smooth shave. I should have done better research of other brands. I doubt you will print this review.william

In the barber trade, Andis and Wahl are the big names in clippers shavers. When it comes to tools for finishing fades, the Andis Profoil and Wahl Shaver Shaper are the benchmarks. I bought the Andis because I like the way the shaver blades are staggered. The performance is outstanding. You shave as close as you want. But I'd have to caution anyone using this tool not to bear down hard because you'll be pushing the blades with far too much force against the foil which will wear down the foil and blades prematurely and might even produce a razor burn. Just take it easy and you'll have great results in short order.7373markh

Purchased this product online, delivery was on time and well packaged! Upon opening the package, the device itself looked nice and sharp but it felt rather cheap for the amount of money spent. While trying to test it out I noticed that the charge cord was as flimsy and useless as they come. The darn thing won't stay plugged into the device, it didn't bother me much as I started using it after the required initial charge duration. All the lights indicators worked fine. My first shave was smooth and efficient but after 2 weeks of use, the shaver was blunt as a rock. Though I cleaned it often it didn't help, then I noticed that the shiny bronze look has not turned into some dingy color. I love this little razor! I bought it for a trip to my dad's via airplane. When packing every little bit of space counts. This razor is perfect for travel because of its size and it has its own case. Even though it's small I found it to be easier to shave with and I prefer using this at home too! The handle is wider and I find it very easy to control! The blades are nice and last long. No accidentally knicks when shaving in a rush with them and they leave my legs feeling so soft and smooth! I like that they're replaceable blades so I don't need to needlessly replace the handle and case! I bought this mini razor on a whim at Ulta during a sale figured I’d just give it a shot. While I definitely prefer my normal razor for day to day, this little guy is perfect for travel or just to have in your purse in case of emergency. It gets the job done is very convenient. If you are looking for a razor to travel with or to have one to throw in your purse or your gym bag in a pinch, I think this is perfect for that exactly. But with that being said, I don’t think this is the right razor to use for everyday or daily use. Just my personal opinion though.morgan.h

Love these little razors. They are so convenient for the gym or travel as they don’t take up too much space and have their own carrying case so you don’t slice a finger going through your toiletries bag. I actually prefer the shape and handle of these to normal razors as I find them even easier to hold and more ergonomic while you’re shaving. Definitely a must have!rachel.b

I recently purchased the Braun MGK3220 6-in-1 Mens Beard Trimmer and Hair Clipper Kit and used it for the first time. The clipper kit comes complete with an electric clipper/trimmer, which has many different attachments for your beard as well as the hair on your head. It also includes an attachment to trim your nose and ear hair as well. The trimmer felt light in my hand and was easy to use. The clipper guard is adjustable with different length settings which makes it convenient to trim it up to the length that is good for you. The trimmer did a nice job cutting and did not pull on my whiskers at all. It does not contain the cut whiskers, so they basically flew all over the sink and counter as they were cut. Next, I tried the nose and ear attachment. I always wanted to have something to cut my nose and ear hairs, other then a pair of scissors, so Im glad this included in the kit. I wondered if it would pull on my nose and ear hairs, but it didnt pull at all. As a matter of fact, it almost tickles my nose, but would rather have that feeling than any pain. I was happy with the results and will be using this feature quite often. Over all, this is a decent trimmer for the price range. This Braun grooming kit works great and is very high quality, especially for all you get for the price. I exchanged a different Braun grooming kit that I had gotten my husband as a gift, that was horrible quality, for this one. I’m so happy I did. This has everything you need for a comfortable, smooth shave from head to toe. No matter what body part you shave, whether you want completely silky smooth or a certain length this quickly and comfortably does the job. This is the worst trimmer/shaver I have ever had, including $12 generic ones. I have been using these things for about 15 years, do most of my own haircuts over that time, needed a new one and tried this out. Trimmed my beard with a negligible difference between a 2 and a 0. It was weak enough that I needed to make several passes even through already short hair trying to cut to a 3 length. The poor power then led to an error by me trying to make up for poor performance, so then I had to shave my head instead of looking like a whack-job, but the weak battery then died, so I plugged it in to use with electricity. No such luck – it works on battery use only and turns off when plugged in. I tried again after 5 minutes of charging to get about 5 seconds of power. Now I am sitting here writing this, waiting for both the battery to charge and for the soonest moment that I can return this mistake to Target. Even if they do not agree to refund me if they claim they can’t take it back used, I would rather leave it there for them to throw away then ever bring it back home.x

It came with a battery so that I was able to use it right out of the box. Instructions were clear and easy to follow as well. Since its battery operated and water or splash proof it’s great to use in the shower for quick and easy cleanup. I used it for a quick clean up on my bikini area. I was so excited for the smooth and silky body and bikini grooming kit. I had really high hopes for it. It is the perfect size, not to large, but not too small. It comes with a little carrying bag which is perfect for traveling. I love that it is battery operated and can be used wet or dry. I tried it both ways and unfortunately it did not work well for me. I used the foil shaver first and it did not remove any of my hair, I then used the bikini and body trimmer head. It left lines down my legs but did not remove any of my hair. I think that unless you have long hairs it will not cut them. My husband has a very hairy chest so I tested each head on him. The only head that works was the bikini and body trimmer, it took his hairs down to stubble, but not a smooth shave. I am very disappointed in this razor. There is NO charging base, only a plug in wall charger. When I called customer service they could not tell me if the replacement item they are sending will actually be the two head shaver with a charging base. ((Why?!?)) I guess I'll have to wait for another 7-10 days for my "maybe it is, maybe it's not" the right item to arrive.Wendy

Bought for in store pick-up. I was provided a completely different razor that does not come with a base. The color around the button is solid pink and not white. And it has a dofferent head. All other stores sell that version along with the one advertised here. The employee berated my husband telling him he does not know anything that this is the new and improved model she provided us in our order. That it does not matter that it does not come with a base or that the head only has a single blade. Tried to shove a razor that elsewhere sells down my hsubands throat for $10 that does not match the product they list here (elsewhwre also sells this razor and it is the same price). Just lost a long time customer. Do not try to pawn off cheap products by advertising something else and stating what you are giving them is just a new version (when it is not.)SarHD
