After getting the bike assembled, which was not as easy as other reviews state, there was a grinding noise. We took the bike completely apart and found the belt was not on correctly. It took FOREVER to get it back on. After fixing that there was an issue with the tension cable. After working on this bike for a while it is finally usable. This exercise bicycle is easy to use. I had a sore knee for weeks. I noticed soreness was less after first use. I have used the bike for 2 weeks and knee pain is gone. I was away for a week and mo issues with knee. I start using it again today. This bike displays distance and calories burned. The seat and back cushion are comfortable. I bought this bike several years ago, and have been very pleased with it. I am 97 years old, stagger around with a cane, and have very little strength. This bike is good for me. It's very easy to get on and off – the seat is chair height, with a back and arms making it secure to ride. Other configurations like upright bikes and rowing machines are difficult, and those requiring you to stand are impossible for me to use without falling. I ride this bike for 30 minutes a day at a resistance setting of 5 within the range of 1 – 8, about what I remember the resistance of peddling a real bike at about 10 -15 mph to be. The bike has a very good price; it has the essentials and no more. Other than occasionally tightening a few screws, I've had no maintenance problems. I have two criticisms: (1.) The adjustment for riders of different heights is cumbersome, and (2.) The little computer displays operating time, speed, distance, calories , and something I don't understand. It is difficult to zero the display at the start of a run; I just keep punching until it eventually does, and the calorie count never zeros, but who believes it anyway. The same is a problem with the scan function – just keep punching and eventually it starts working. For someone like me who needs aerobic exercise, but is too old and feeble to go running in the park, this is a great machine.William

This review will be broken down into two parts: Installation/Delivery & use of the product. Installation/Delivery: Firstly, I am so happy to currently be a member of the Total Tech Membership. As a result, I was able to get this bike for $500. That $500 included not only the bike, but also the delivery AND installation. I ordered the bike about a week ago and set up delivery/install for Friday 1.21.22. The two guys that came to complete the bike delivery and set up were AWESOME! I think we were their last delivery on Friday as they called and said they were driving back from Sheboygan then to Green Bay to pick up bike, then up to Door County. Even though I could tell they had a LONG day these two guys were EXCEPTIONAL. They came in brought the bike downstairs and happily went to work on putting it together. They got the whole thing together and rocking and rolling in about 40 minutes (totally worth me not doing it b/c I'm sure it would've taken me much longer). They gave me a tutorial on use and took everything away. Both of these guys deserve a TEN out of TEN for their efforts & hard work (even on a late Friday night). Thanks MUCH to them Use of Product: my wife did a ride yesterday on the bike and I used it this morning before work. The product is SUPER easy to use and it is VERY VERY QUIET (you can hardly hear it running). I love that they have user profiles that keep track of your workouts and overall distances that you bike (it allows 4 profiles). This bike has a great display for your workouts and it has plenty of choices for programs. It also has a fan and though I haven't used it yet it has a USB port and speakers for listening to what you'd like (I am an ear buds kind of guy). When using the bike it is VERY comfortable (I'm 5'10') and the seat moves with ease. This was the perfect last piece of exercise equipment we needed for our basement gym and it provides a good workout without major stress on the body. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence about buying it. Schwinn has pulled a complete bait and switch on these units that to me borders on criminal. There USED to be (and is advertised) a free app that you could download to interact with these units as well as keep track of your workouts. However, that has gone the way of the dodo bird – extinct! The old app is still referenced in the owners/installation menu. The app has been removed from all app stores – no matter the device. What Schwinn has done is convert to a Peleton type structure where the app is now a subscription based service. Total money grab. If the app worked like Peleton, I could almost get behind it – not even close. There are only 3 or 4 free "rides" you can do with the new app but none are interactive to where the resistance varies based on the terrain. The app does make the video come to a halt if you stop pedaling – that's it. No matter what speed you pedal, the video just trundles along at the same speed. I did a quick review of the paid "rides" and they all said "video only" so even the paid app does NOT provide any interactive workout other than the view going by at a constant speed – unless you stop. No resistance changes, no speed changes, just a slow ride through the scenery. Also, the Bluetooth….would you expect that to link to your device and let you play music? NOPE!!! The only thing the Bluetooth will link to is the new app. I was told by Schwinn support that it would link to other apps but I tried 3 of what they recommended and no Bluetooth link unless on their app. Worthless. So, there is also a little fan on the console that has a vent similar to an A/C vent in a car. Great idea…..poor execution. The fan is mounted inside the plastic enclosure in such a way that when the air exits the front of the vent, it's blowing at a 45 degree angle and it shoots off to the left, doing a nice job of cooling your left forearm but not a whisp of air on your face. The seating position on this is also uncomfortable. The seat moves up and down at a steep angle – so much so that the instructions say to get out of the seat before adjusting. That is ridiculous. If they were being honest, they would say, "Our design is poor and you can't actually adjust the seat while seated". If you do decide to adjust the seat while actually seated (so you can tell where you need to set it – duh), you better have at least one foot FIRMLY on the pedal, ready to support most of your body weight. Otherwise, the seat will SLAM to the bottom and jam your back – yes, I did it! This is not like any recumbent bike Ive ever been on – the ergonomics just are NOT good. The angle is just not right. Excellent exercise bike at an excellent price. Free delivery was included and much appreciated that they moved the heavy box into the back room for me. Setup took about 90 minutes with assistance from a step-by-step YouTube video that made identifying parts and order a breeze (SEARCH: "Complete! Assemble Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike") The bike is very comfortable and includes a console with lots of information and ability to setup custom programs. It's really not too bulky either and fits well along the wall of our room, so its pretty much out of the way. It has wheels in the front and a handle in the back to enable you to easily lift and move the bike. There is also a media shelf underneath the main display to hold your phone or tablet, and also a USB port to keep your device charged during your work out. The only negative thing you might have is that the Bluetooth capability is limited to using their app for downloading information about your session. You can't stream any music to its internal speakers at all. You will need to use the supplied 3.5mm input port and cable to attach to an MP3 player or phone that has a similar jack to play any music from the speakers. But you can just use your own phone or tablet along with wireless earbuds or headphones for better sound. The bike itself is very quiet when pedaling, which is nice. It has 25 levels of resistance which is plenty, and includes a heart rate monitor via the handles mounted on either side of the seat. A little nice addition is the cup holder/storage for your water bottle and/or remote control. Compare all this to the very similar (and more expensive) Nautilus R618 Recumbent bike that has almost identical features and made by the same company.BobG

This is a decent bike. The seat is comfortable and is very supportive. It really helps with my arthritic legs and I am steadily losing weight. The only con is the computer . I called the company because it was defective( the display for everything keeps going out to where only a piece or two of numbers would show, it would not let me reset any of the counters and the calories was stuck); the company sent another replacement computer. The second one is malfunctioning because of the odometer(it never resets while everything else does). Although the computer is giving me problems, the seat adjusts like it is supposed to for height, the pedal system still works well and the tension works. I think it is an ok buy thus far and I have had it since October 15, 2018.amy1
I initially began looking for the typical upright style bike, but having a back problem, I turned to the recumbent style. As my wife was looking over my shoulder, she suggested I look at one with the back-rest support on it as well. I’m glad she said something…once I got the unit assembled, and tried it out, I realized how important the back-rest was for me. I now know I would not be able to use a unit without it. It was fairly easy to assemble…I only pinched my fingers once. I was impressed with the quality of the unit…it seems to be very well made. It is very quiet during use. The online ad information didn’t say anything about a pulse rate monitor…this unit does have one, built into the handles. The seat and backrest are both comfortable. I am about five-three and had no problem fitting this equipment. I have only used it for a few minutes at this point, but am comfortable knowing that with my physical limitations, I will be able to get some exercise with this unit. My wife who is an exercise nut, and has never been a fan of stationary bikes, also likes it. I get the impression this bike is going to get a lot of use. Broken within 6 months. I bought this bike last summer. After a few months the right petal started making a weird sound like there were rocks bands in the center of machine. After a few days of the noise it only got worse. I noticed little metal balls came out of the petal and the noise became unbearable like metal scratching on metal. I contacted the company who manufactured the bike and completed a form for replacement parts. After they confirmed receipt of the form they did not respond to any of my requests for an update and have not sent the replacement part. They also have a customer service and they literally never answer the calls. Horrible customer service. Dont waste your money one this.Ana

It is hard to rate this purchase because I am both pleased and disappointed. I was excited when I saw the thak you card from the company president upon opening the box. What a nice extra touch! But sad when I found they couldn't even keep up the $10 per year domain name to let you know their app is defunct. And of course there is the realization that this company has a corner on this level of fitness equipment (owning Nautilus, Schwinn, Bowflex, and more) so why should they put forth the effort? Despite the extreme cost difference, I would have looked longer at Peloton if I'd known. But, moving past my dismay to what matters most, as a 63 year old female not in the best shape, I put the bike together myself quite effortlessly. That is not to say that it is not quite heavy at near 100 pounds, but the instructions were clear for the most part. One thing I would add is that, when installing the seat bottom, screw the two roads in at the front first, or it will be difficult (if not impossible) to line the screw holes up. In all cases, the best idea when installing multiple screws in a section is to apply all the screws loosely, then tighten all after everything is lined up for that section. As a final fuss, I wish the power cord was less flimsy/more substantial. Functionally, the bike is quiet, smooth and comfortable. The fan has little power, and this is a big deal because wouldn't it be wonderful to feel the wind in your hair as you ride, almost real IF THERE WERE AN APP to elicit the illusion. Rant over, I expect to appreciate the bike this year, and next year if I've done well with goals I may upgrade for more excitement.Deborah
Believe the bike is ok, but never really tried to use it due to shipping damage. The packaging is poor and the Styrofoam breaks down during shipping. I returned the first bike due to damage and ordered a second. Same issue with shipping. Damaged box on front door. Nautilus really needs to improve the packaging. I use it in the winter to compliment my good weather riding on my outdoor recumbent. It is very smooth riding and has more than enough resistant levels. The one problem I have with it is the difficulty moving it from room to room (living room TV watching to storage in spare bedroom). I have a bad back and can't lift it onto it's casters, so I improved it by adding four casters (on the ends of the stabilizers). They are 2 in. rubber casters (two fixed and two locking-swivel). The bike is still very stable, even on hardwood floors. Even for people with good backs, it is much easier and safer to move around. It takes more room to store, but it's not a deal breaker for me.none

Purchased this because I had knee replacement surgery..No instructions provided, had to download off XTRERRA site….I found the instructions difficult ( and I put many things together over the years), Called support….next to useless. The first guy I spoke to "wasn't familiar with the machine." He went to look at one and hung up on me. Next guy read the instructions to me…..I can read, thanks. After 3 hours of struggle, done. Got on machine and found the seat brake was defective. After three or four rotations, the seat would slam forward and drive my newly replaced knee into the center pillar. I called support, Mike told me yep it's probably defective, he will sent me the part but I need to take the machine apart to replace with part as they will not provide labor. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE….Nothing, Nada, Zip…No help….I would give zero stars, but apparently one is the minimum….Now I have to take it apart to send it back and 3 of us have not been able to pull the two main pieces apart!pj in California
A little tough to assemble, took a while to realize the cowling part was screwed together, but after that it went okay. I purchased this bike because all gyms have closed because they have been deemed to be non essential. I have back issues and walking for more than a mile is painful. This recumbent bike allows me to get in my aerobic exercise. This bike is pretty close to the ones at the gym. I was surprised at how sturdy it is. The programmable functions work great. This is a very good, sturdy stationary bike. I bought for my wife (at her request) and she finds it to be comfortable and easy to use. I tried it out and liked it. I am used to using the high-end ones at the gym and this is not bad comparatively. I would give it a 5 star but the directions in assembling the seat/brake were confusing and the plastic cowling on that area did not fit. Also the adjustment lever was very stiff and I didn't realize at first how much pressure I needed to use. I read a review on Amazon where the person had a similar experience. I just got the Marcy Magnetic Recumbent Bike and it is absolutely amazing! It has endless cool features. It comes with eight different levels of resistance. The seat has adjustments for long and short legs. Not only does the screen track your distance it also tracks speed, time, calories burned, and odometer. The seat comes with a very comfortable cushion seat, and the bars are made of foam so it will not hurt your hands to hold on to while you are cycling. The foot pedals have plastic bars that help you hold your foot in place while using the bike. It has a maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds. The assembly time is about two hours but it took me less than that. The instructions are very thorough and simple to understand as you are putting the bike together. Overall I would highly recommend this product to someone that is motivated and dedicated to losing weight or bettering their health overall.Bri
This is a standard seated bike that is good for occasional use. The bike came unassembled in 11 pieces and was very easy to unpack. The instructions are okay if you are good at putting things together, but the instructions are not very descriptive for beginners. Once the bike is assembled, the rear “feet” do allow for adjustments so that the bike does not wobble during use. In addition, there is a third knob for adjustment in the middle of the bike to ensure that the bike is stable. Negatives: – The bike does not come with batteries for the center console, so you will need to purchase 2 AAA batteries separately – The ledge on the bike display is too shallow and cannot be used to prop up your phone or tablet safely – At higher gear levels, the resistance does not feel smooth when peddling – When you stop peddling, you can hear the gear slide inside – You can only peddle forward, as there is no resistance available going backward – Bike seems to be made for taller people. At 5’3”, the shortest settings just barely allows me to ride comfortably. This bike is perfect for me. I bought it for cardio and knee-strengthening exercise since the Y pool is not offering aquatic classes during the pandemic. I use it 30 minutes a day, five days a week, and feel stronger. I'm 79 years old, and average weight and height, and while it's perfect for me, I'm not sure that it would serve the needs of someone younger and heavier who wanted a more vigorous workout, as it is not as stable as that might require. Received my bike 3 days ago, took a while to fit together, but once done it is a very sturdy bike, and I love the fact it puts no pressure on my lower back, unlike a standard exercise bike. Brilliant features, and constantly shows my heart rate, and how many calories I am burning. Taking it very slow as I have had issues with arthritis, but know this will help enormously. Only downside was there were no instructions on how to build it, there are many parts, so I had to download the manual (27 pages) – not good if you don't have a computer or printer.Judy1960

I read a ton of reviews before making my final decision. Honestly this semi recumbant exercise bike will be a good fit for some, but not all. It really depends on your fitness goals, expectations, and how fit you already are. I think it's a good buy for the price. It comes with some assembly required, but isn't difficult or too time consuming. I had some issues with the quality control. The resistance and monitor cables were in the way of being able to put the locking pin in the hole to fold the bike up. The resistance really only gets hard at 6,7,8. 1-5 are easy. That's enough resistance for me to break a sweat for now. I did address my concerns to customer service by sending an email. They took care it in a fair way as far as I'm concerned. The bike is lightweight, easy to move since it has wheels. I should also say it suits those who are height challenged. Not so much if you're taller than 5'10". Riding is very quiet!Debbie
Bearing in mind that I've only had the bike for a week, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Extremely quiet, comfortable seat, quick & easy to relocate. I only have 2 small issues with the bike. The first is that the right pedal has a tendency to loosen up after a few rides, resulting in a little click sound, but this is easily remedied by retightening the pedal. The second is that the wheels on the base for relocating the bike could have been a little bigger. At present the bike rolls well on solid floors, but not so well on carpet. All in all a wonderful investment in the healthy future of myself & my family.David
Giving this bike 5 stars because I love it, simple as that. It's everything I was looking for and the price was great too ($160 free delivery). Honestly, I have yet to fold and move it so I can't give a review on that but it holds my phone towards the top, not on the bottom like some models, and has wheels for when I do fold and move it, so I'm very happy with it. The seat moves up and down (adjusts to height) easily and it is silent when you use it. My only critique is the units printed under the digital screen are small so it's a little hard to see which goal I'm looking at each time the screen changes (minutes, pulse, etc.). I also wish it had a cup holder which was not on my original wish/shopping list when I was looking for these so I can't complain. Overall, five stars and yes, buy this.katebean

This review will be broken down into two parts: Installation/Delivery & use of the product. Installation/Delivery: Firstly, I am so happy to currently be a member of the Total Tech Membership. As a result, I was able to get this bike for $500. That $500 included not only the bike, but also the delivery AND installation. I ordered the bike about a week ago and set up delivery/install for Friday 1.21.22. The two guys that came to complete the bike delivery and set up were AWESOME! I think we were their last delivery on Friday as they called and said they were driving back from Sheboygan then to Green Bay to pick up bike, then up to Door County. Even though I could tell they had a LONG day these two guys were EXCEPTIONAL. They came in brought the bike downstairs and happily went to work on putting it together. They got the whole thing together and rocking and rolling in about 40 minutes (totally worth me not doing it b/c I'm sure it would've taken me much longer). They gave me a tutorial on use and took everything away. Both of these guys deserve a TEN out of TEN for their efforts & hard work (even on a late Friday night). Thanks MUCH to them Use of Product: my wife did a ride yesterday on the bike and I used it this morning before work. The product is SUPER easy to use and it is VERY VERY QUIET (you can hardly hear it running). I love that they have user profiles that keep track of your workouts and overall distances that you bike (it allows 4 profiles). This bike has a great display for your workouts and it has plenty of choices for programs. It also has a fan and though I haven't used it yet it has a USB port and speakers for listening to what you'd like (I am an ear buds kind of guy). When using the bike it is VERY comfortable (I'm 5'10') and the seat moves with ease. This was the perfect last piece of exercise equipment we needed for our basement gym and it provides a good workout without major stress on the body. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence about buying it. Schwinn has pulled a complete bait and switch on these units that to me borders on criminal. There USED to be (and is advertised) a free app that you could download to interact with these units as well as keep track of your workouts. However, that has gone the way of the dodo bird – extinct! The old app is still referenced in the owners/installation menu. The app has been removed from all app stores – no matter the device. What Schwinn has done is convert to a Peleton type structure where the app is now a subscription based service. Total money grab. If the app worked like Peleton, I could almost get behind it – not even close. There are only 3 or 4 free "rides" you can do with the new app but none are interactive to where the resistance varies based on the terrain. The app does make the video come to a halt if you stop pedaling – that's it. No matter what speed you pedal, the video just trundles along at the same speed. I did a quick review of the paid "rides" and they all said "video only" so even the paid app does NOT provide any interactive workout other than the view going by at a constant speed – unless you stop. No resistance changes, no speed changes, just a slow ride through the scenery. Also, the Bluetooth….would you expect that to link to your device and let you play music? NOPE!!! The only thing the Bluetooth will link to is the new app. I was told by Schwinn support that it would link to other apps but I tried 3 of what they recommended and no Bluetooth link unless on their app. Worthless. So, there is also a little fan on the console that has a vent similar to an A/C vent in a car. Great idea…..poor execution. The fan is mounted inside the plastic enclosure in such a way that when the air exits the front of the vent, it's blowing at a 45 degree angle and it shoots off to the left, doing a nice job of cooling your left forearm but not a whisp of air on your face. The seating position on this is also uncomfortable. The seat moves up and down at a steep angle – so much so that the instructions say to get out of the seat before adjusting. That is ridiculous. If they were being honest, they would say, "Our design is poor and you can't actually adjust the seat while seated". If you do decide to adjust the seat while actually seated (so you can tell where you need to set it – duh), you better have at least one foot FIRMLY on the pedal, ready to support most of your body weight. Otherwise, the seat will SLAM to the bottom and jam your back – yes, I did it! This is not like any recumbent bike Ive ever been on – the ergonomics just are NOT good. The angle is just not right. Excellent exercise bike at an excellent price. Free delivery was included and much appreciated that they moved the heavy box into the back room for me. Setup took about 90 minutes with assistance from a step-by-step YouTube video that made identifying parts and order a breeze (SEARCH: "Complete! Assemble Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike") The bike is very comfortable and includes a console with lots of information and ability to setup custom programs. It's really not too bulky either and fits well along the wall of our room, so its pretty much out of the way. It has wheels in the front and a handle in the back to enable you to easily lift and move the bike. There is also a media shelf underneath the main display to hold your phone or tablet, and also a USB port to keep your device charged during your work out. The only negative thing you might have is that the Bluetooth capability is limited to using their app for downloading information about your session. You can't stream any music to its internal speakers at all. You will need to use the supplied 3.5mm input port and cable to attach to an MP3 player or phone that has a similar jack to play any music from the speakers. But you can just use your own phone or tablet along with wireless earbuds or headphones for better sound. The bike itself is very quiet when pedaling, which is nice. It has 25 levels of resistance which is plenty, and includes a heart rate monitor via the handles mounted on either side of the seat. A little nice addition is the cup holder/storage for your water bottle and/or remote control. Compare all this to the very similar (and more expensive) Nautilus R618 Recumbent bike that has almost identical features and made by the same company.BobG

I was inclined to leave a review because many of the low reviews complained about the same things: 1. To reviewers who said their knees hit the handlebars, you need to adjust the seat back! This is a recumbent bike, not a stationary bike. I’m 6’1, have longer legs, and had no issue with my knees hitting the handlebars after I adjusted the seat. Seat adjustment was very easy. 2. Some complained about the batteries being difficult to install. They are definitely a snugger fit but I was able to pop them in without any issue. 3. The instructions were extremely straightforward and the bike was easy to assemble. Took me about two hours from unboxing to finishing the assembly, and that was because in haste I read a couple of the steps incorrectly and had to go back. DO NOT BUY!!! Ok, I had this bike for ten months using it to rehab from a hip surgery. at the onset the ride was nice. I am only 180lbs so well below the weight class recommended. After 10 months the bearing broke inside and it slipped and made noise. I had purchased the extended warranty BUT they gave me the runaround and it took 5 months to get it fixed. The repairman said these bikes aren't built to last. SO DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTYAnthony
I really like this bike and recommend purchasing. I did a lot of research and given the current environment and went ahead with this bike. It is very comfortable. (I am 58.) I was looking for a bike with a comfortable seat and I am glad I decided on this one. The seat is very comfortable with good support for the back. It is compact enough and fits nicely in the corner I set aside in my home office. I found a nice mat to fit under that is the exact dimensions of the bike. I don't have a fancy tv screen, but this bike has a nice space for my Ipad or iphone so I can watch tv, check emails, listen to music and any other app I decide to engage. I also have found a couple of great virtual bike rides on YouTube like Mt. Zion in Utah. Great buy!! Some assembly is required. I did read in the reviews about the news bumping against the handlebars. This happen a couple of times, but it is not a big problem at all. It has several workouts built in as well as various resistance levels for a more challenging workout. I can work up a good sweat in 30 minutes on my bike even at the lower resistance levels. I am very glad I made this purchase and decided on the recumbent model.KK

Received and assembled about a week ago. So far only good things to say about the unit. Very well packaged. No damage. Very well engineered. All the pieces fit together perfectly. All bolt holes aligned. The instructions are very clear. The hardware for each numbered step is packaged in a separate plastic bag. No sorting through a pile of hardware. Operation is very smooth. Time will tell how well it holds up. Purchased for wife and self. We are older and it is just what we need. Probably not heavy duty enough for younger high speed folks. I can't believe what a great product this is, in every way so far! Here are some things I wanted to know, before I purchased it- Start with assembly: EVERYTHING neatly packaged (step by step packages) with easy to read diagrams and instructions. I had my son-in-law assemble it for me, in less than an hour-because I have physical limitations. He is a perfectionist and was impressed with this bike and the complete instructions and parts. Did I mention this comes with the tools needed for assembly???!!!!! It does! This is not a flimsy bike, it is very stable. It weighs only 50-some pounds, but it is a solid piece of exercise equipment. Assembled it is about the size of a skinny shopping cart, taking up much less space than I expected. I live on the second floor and it is VERY quiet to use. It has several monitoring features to track heart rate and more. It is comfortable to use, too. I have some weight issues right now and this is one of the lesser priced bikes that accommodate my height and weight range. (I am quite tall-it is adjustable for many heights). Last but not least-it is so darned cute in all of it's "pinkness." It is an attractive piece of exercise equipment. This bike so far, has been an awesome investment for me-well worth my money. I expected less and got so much more. The quality of this item leads me to believe I should have no problems with it, any time soon. Assembly was relatively easy as long as you follow the instructions carefully. This bike does what it supposed to however not very comfortably. There is hardly any cushion in the seat and backrest. I understand this is not supposed to be a luxury recliner however it’s really hard to exercise when after five minutes of peddling your butt hurts. That’s saying a lot for someone like me who has a lot of extra padding to peddle off. Also the handlebars beside the seat that have the heart rate sensors is set to low, I have to actually stop peddling and Scooch down the seat just to reach for full contact. (I am 5’2) this may not be a problem for taller People.Tiff33

In this day and age just the fact that this bike came across the country in a few days was impressive. Every subsequent step has been equally so. Unboxing was quite simple for such a multi-faceted item, and the video instructions and toolkit were GREAT. (Tip – use the Youtube video, not the befuddling paper instructions) I felt step number 4 (pedals) could benefit from a better CU in the video or the printed guide, but other than that it was really simple and MUCH better than many IKEA items I've had to assemble/destroy in frustration. I received mine and assembled it right out of the box. The first think I noticed was the quality. Top the the line equipment !! I took my time to assemble with no problems. The next day I exercised on it for a solid 45 minutes on #6 setting. Making a few seat adjustments, etc. I put the puter in scan mode so I could see everything throughout the workout. Checked the pedals and the arm attachments to ensure snug and tight after my initial assembly and 45 minute workout. Snugged a few things up and this machine is ready for some long workouts of up to an hour and beyond. _x000D_ I will say this from over 35 years experience in exercise having had many exercise machines running marathons and Ironman triathlon training that this is an awesome piece of exercise equipment. Would be 5 stars if I thought that the display readings were accurate. Rapid and easy assembly. All parts fit well, some scary reviews not withstanding. Illustrations could definitely be larger, particularly the pedal installation. Product works well and quietly. Step-in/step-out mounting/dismounting is a convenient feature. My wife and I both use it and the seat adjusts quickly and easily. Seat is a good size and comfortable but we would like it a little softer. An illuminated display would be a helpful improvement. Also, I have low confdence in the display readouts, other than the elapsed time. So far we are well satisfied. As for durability, only time will tell.
(UPDATE) Bike developed a slight "clicking" noise at approx 400 miles. Found that left pedal had loosened slighly (my fault). Tightened pedal (securely this time). No more problem! Check those pedals occasionally!Chuck LeMond

I have been looking to purchase a Recumbent Bike that had good reviews from variously users. I had no idea there were so many different types available. The reviews on the Sunny SF-RB 4806 were very good so I went ahead and ordered one. They predicted a delivery date and it arrived on time. There is some assembly required. Their user manual is easy to use. I needed some assistance on an area I was having some trouble with so I called their support group. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and how knowledgeable Ashley was. She knew exactly how to instruct me to fix my area. She even suggested sending me a short video on this. I followed her advise and my bike was ready to use. I was and am still impressed on the quality and the quietness of this bike. I would certainly advise a new Bike user to use their products. The recumbent bike is fantastic!. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. The bike came together without any problems. The bike has a terrific look and feel. Entering personal info for my wife and me (age, gender, weight and height) was easy. Following the embedded workout programs was also very uncomplicated. The seat is large and the foam padding is very comfortable even for hour-long workouts. I like the heart monitor built into to the sidebar grips makes tracking aerobic aspect of the workout simple. At 71 y/o and with arthritis in my knees bilaterally, I had to give up my 3-mile walks. This recumbent bike is very easy on my knees (not to mention my lower lumbar back). I like and use the builtin iPad/tablet stand for reading and watching videos while pumping away. Also, I like the sleek, narrow design – fits in against the wall minimizing its footprint in the room. Glad I purchased this bike. It's getting lots of use. I would highly recommend without any reservations.Michael
I especially chose a recumbent bike because of the low impact to the knees versus an upright bike. I drive a lot and the recumbent bike has helped alleviate the lower back and hip pains. I was concerned about the quality and durability especially w/2 sons that workout all the time. It turned out to be a very heavy duty gym quality bike and reasonably priced. My other concern was w/my husband's response and he loved it more than anyone else because of the low impact to his bad knee.Happy Customer

After getting the bike assembled, which was not as easy as other reviews state, there was a grinding noise. We took the bike completely apart and found the belt was not on correctly. It took FOREVER to get it back on. After fixing that there was an issue with the tension cable. After working on this bike for a while it is finally usable. The price is fair, but its not worth much money in my opinion. Spend a little more on a better bike. The overall look of it is good but it doesn't function properly.Brittnee
This exercise bicycle is easy to use. I had a sore knee for weeks. I noticed soreness was less after first use. I have used the bike for 2 weeks and knee pain is gone. I was away for a week and mo issues with knee. I start using it again today. This bike displays distance and calories burned. The seat and back cushion are comfortable. I bought this bike several years ago, and have been very pleased with it. I am 97 years old, stagger around with a cane, and have very little strength. This bike is good for me. It's very easy to get on and off – the seat is chair height, with a back and arms making it secure to ride. Other configurations like upright bikes and rowing machines are difficult, and those requiring you to stand are impossible for me to use without falling. I ride this bike for 30 minutes a day at a resistance setting of 5 within the range of 1 – 8, about what I remember the resistance of peddling a real bike at about 10 -15 mph to be. The bike has a very good price; it has the essentials and no more. Other than occasionally tightening a few screws, I've had no maintenance problems. I have two criticisms: (1.) The adjustment for riders of different heights is cumbersome, and (2.) The little computer displays operating time, speed, distance, calories , and something I don't understand. It is difficult to zero the display at the start of a run; I just keep punching until it eventually does, and the calorie count never zeros, but who believes it anyway. The same is a problem with the scan function – just keep punching and eventually it starts working. For someone like me who needs aerobic exercise, but is too old and feeble to go running in the park, this is a great machine.William

This review will be broken down into two parts: Installation/Delivery & use of the product. Installation/Delivery: Firstly, I am so happy to currently be a member of the Total Tech Membership. As a result, I was able to get this bike for $500. That $500 included not only the bike, but also the delivery AND installation. I ordered the bike about a week ago and set up delivery/install for Friday 1.21.22. The two guys that came to complete the bike delivery and set up were AWESOME! I think we were their last delivery on Friday as they called and said they were driving back from Sheboygan then to Green Bay to pick up bike, then up to Door County. Even though I could tell they had a LONG day these two guys were EXCEPTIONAL. They came in brought the bike downstairs and happily went to work on putting it together. They got the whole thing together and rocking and rolling in about 40 minutes (totally worth me not doing it b/c I'm sure it would've taken me much longer). They gave me a tutorial on use and took everything away. Both of these guys deserve a TEN out of TEN for their efforts & hard work (even on a late Friday night). Thanks MUCH to them Use of Product: my wife did a ride yesterday on the bike and I used it this morning before work. The product is SUPER easy to use and it is VERY VERY QUIET (you can hardly hear it running). I love that they have user profiles that keep track of your workouts and overall distances that you bike (it allows 4 profiles). This bike has a great display for your workouts and it has plenty of choices for programs. It also has a fan and though I haven't used it yet it has a USB port and speakers for listening to what you'd like (I am an ear buds kind of guy). When using the bike it is VERY comfortable (I'm 5'10') and the seat moves with ease. This was the perfect last piece of exercise equipment we needed for our basement gym and it provides a good workout without major stress on the body. I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is on the fence about buying it. Schwinn has pulled a complete bait and switch on these units that to me borders on criminal. There USED to be (and is advertised) a free app that you could download to interact with these units as well as keep track of your workouts. However, that has gone the way of the dodo bird – extinct! The old app is still referenced in the owners/installation menu. The app has been removed from all app stores – no matter the device. What Schwinn has done is convert to a Peleton type structure where the app is now a subscription based service. Total money grab. If the app worked like Peleton, I could almost get behind it – not even close. There are only 3 or 4 free "rides" you can do with the new app but none are interactive to where the resistance varies based on the terrain. The app does make the video come to a halt if you stop pedaling – that's it. No matter what speed you pedal, the video just trundles along at the same speed. I did a quick review of the paid "rides" and they all said "video only" so even the paid app does NOT provide any interactive workout other than the view going by at a constant speed – unless you stop. No resistance changes, no speed changes, just a slow ride through the scenery. Also, the Bluetooth….would you expect that to link to your device and let you play music? NOPE!!! The only thing the Bluetooth will link to is the new app. I was told by Schwinn support that it would link to other apps but I tried 3 of what they recommended and no Bluetooth link unless on their app. Worthless. So, there is also a little fan on the console that has a vent similar to an A/C vent in a car. Great idea…..poor execution. The fan is mounted inside the plastic enclosure in such a way that when the air exits the front of the vent, it's blowing at a 45 degree angle and it shoots off to the left, doing a nice job of cooling your left forearm but not a whisp of air on your face. The seating position on this is also uncomfortable. The seat moves up and down at a steep angle – so much so that the instructions say to get out of the seat before adjusting. That is ridiculous. If they were being honest, they would say, "Our design is poor and you can't actually adjust the seat while seated". If you do decide to adjust the seat while actually seated (so you can tell where you need to set it – duh), you better have at least one foot FIRMLY on the pedal, ready to support most of your body weight. Otherwise, the seat will SLAM to the bottom and jam your back – yes, I did it! This is not like any recumbent bike Ive ever been on – the ergonomics just are NOT good. The angle is just not right. Excellent exercise bike at an excellent price. Free delivery was included and much appreciated that they moved the heavy box into the back room for me. Setup took about 90 minutes with assistance from a step-by-step YouTube video that made identifying parts and order a breeze (SEARCH: "Complete! Assemble Schwinn 270 Recumbent Exercise Bike") The bike is very comfortable and includes a console with lots of information and ability to setup custom programs. It's really not too bulky either and fits well along the wall of our room, so its pretty much out of the way. It has wheels in the front and a handle in the back to enable you to easily lift and move the bike. There is also a media shelf underneath the main display to hold your phone or tablet, and also a USB port to keep your device charged during your work out. The only negative thing you might have is that the Bluetooth capability is limited to using their app for downloading information about your session. You can't stream any music to its internal speakers at all. You will need to use the supplied 3.5mm input port and cable to attach to an MP3 player or phone that has a similar jack to play any music from the speakers. But you can just use your own phone or tablet along with wireless earbuds or headphones for better sound. The bike itself is very quiet when pedaling, which is nice. It has 25 levels of resistance which is plenty, and includes a heart rate monitor via the handles mounted on either side of the seat. A little nice addition is the cup holder/storage for your water bottle and/or remote control. Compare all this to the very similar (and more expensive) Nautilus R618 Recumbent bike that has almost identical features and made by the same company.BobG
