They are nicely cushioned, full split down the middle to help prevent numbness, and the sides work independently adding more comfort. I've owned and loved the related product, the Serfas 921V for years on my hardtail MTB, so when I picked up a Specialized Diverge recently, this saddle seemed worth a shot. I rode with it during the Melburn Roobaix on the weekend over some pretty rough cobblestones and at the end of the ride my backside was still good to go. For context I'm a 65kg rider, who likes riding a combination of sealed and gravel/dirt paths. While I'm at the lighter end of the scale, I'm also quite skinny around the sit bones. Combined with an aversion to wearing padded shorts, firm saddles used to leave me feeling quite sore on both the squishy bits and the sit bones at the end of a long, bumpy ride. This saddle gives me none of that. I'm also running 700x30c tyres at 50psi to help soften the ride a little, so your mileage may vary if you're a much heavier rider, or running much higher pressures. If you're already riding with padded shorts but need a bit more, then this might be what you need.infinity.04

I have 125mm sit bones when in about 45 degree riding position which seems to be a little wide for most guys. I picke dup the Deva as a last previous year demo for real cheap, and so far it is my favorite saddle. Over the past 6 years I have tried everything from $20-$330 saddles trying to find the magical saddle that never causes pain. However I kept coming back the the Deva. After about 4 years the plastic developed an annoying creaking sound, so I am now trying the new Koda to see how it compares to the Deva. I am in no way upset about the sound since 4 years for a saddle that I beat up mountain biking is good enough for me. I haven't had the Koda long enough to give a thorough review other than it is similar to the Deva but slightly shorter and more padded. Problem is both rails snapped off on a small drop. WTB promptly replaced it. A few months later, the second seat lost a rail on a flat section of trail while pedalling. The WTB Volt Saddle was always my favorite – comfy for long miles and plenty of options for moving around on even the longest rides – and multi-day rides too. But even though the WTB Rocket Saddle has a very similar shape, it ups the ante with more padding that achieves a comfort level that makes even the Volt pale in comparison. Highly recommended!

I started out looking for a better saddle for my road bike and realized that my mountain bike saddle wasn't all that great either. I tried the Specialized EVO Ronin with mimic on both bikes first and it was an improvement over what I had but that one has almost no cushion. I have a 3 year old injury deep in my hip/glute/pyriformis muscle and the lack of cushion on the Ronin did not feel great on the soft tissue around my sit bones. This Phenom saddle is quite a bit better. I can ride (mountain bike) for about 12 miles before I start to notice any discomfort. I love the mimic technology of both saddles. This saddle isn't dreamy perfect but I'm not sure if I'll ever have that experience because of the old injury. Or maybe the saddle is a little too wide for me. My sit bones measure 11cm and the smallest saddle I can get in this brand is 14.3cm. Other saddle brands suggest a 13cm saddle based on my sit bone width and normal riding position.Karen
I had trouble for years in the creases of my legs to the point of tearing the skin. Other saddles by the end of the weekend just left me with abrasions and it would take me all week to heal enough to go out and do it all over again. I was seriously considering quitting the road cycling scene. This saddle was recommended by my fitter/physical therapist. He stated the saddle is for the ladies and their soft tissue area, He explained to me I should give it a try. I ride semi-competitively with CAT 3's, triathletes and do hill work, just a hard working weekend warrior still. This saddle just plain worked for me. I either ride on the back or very near the nose. This does hold you in a more static position like a time-trial. I tried the 168mm at 1st for about 1 month and decided to try the 155mm, that seemed to be the sweet spot for me personally. I enjoy how the drop off on the side of the saddle aren't so sharp compared to the Men's Version with the cut out. I had multiple men's versions of the Power saddle and had to give them all away, within minutes I was in pain in the Men's version. This may be made for a women but sure does work for many men. I bought this saddle specifically for the Mimic technology. I found that with my previous saddles that I was experiencing numbness and discomfort in the genital area. I've gone about 400 miles so far on this saddle and I have to say that my discomfort is mitigated by about 90%. Not gone completely, but far more tolerable. If I could change anything about the saddle I'd like to see just a tad more cushion under my sit bones. My sit bones measured quite narrow and I went with the appropriate/smaller size, so fit is not an issue. I also wear very high quality shorts with a good amount of padding. It's defiantly different. One thing I have noticed is the seat makes you lean forward into a rather uncomfortable position. The comfort of the seat of just fine. It relieves pressure on the sitting muscles like promised. The main issue I have is It actually is very awkward to sit on while trying to pedal. Perhaps I will do some fiddling around with the seat adjustments. It's almost as though you need to have this seat moved way back. Then another problem arises, I have It back as far as the thing allows. I'm not sure if they make a special bracket that allows for different adjustments. Thays what It needs. It is going to take some getting used to it I decide to keep it on my bike. Mind you I only rode it up and down the street a few times. I haven put many miles on it. Honestly I just font see it working out unless I figure out a way to correct the strange riding position it puts you in. The seat itself appears to have good quality. So I recently purchased this seat and used it for the first time this past Saturday. The seat itself appears quite good and I'm sure is comfortable for a normal size butt but if you are overweight like I am, you will still experience some discomfort but in a different area than where regular seat causes. This is fairly well made. The hardware under the seat could be better, and it took some fiddling to loosen it up for the installation, but it works. The standard info for this seat indicates that it's not meant for exercise equipment. Well, it's fine for an exercise bike, specifically a Schwinn AirDyne, so maybe they're referring to some other kind of exercise equipment. The seat is kind of small. For average sized folks it should be ok, If your hips are wider than average you might want to consider getting a different seat. For a no-pressure seat, this might be the best deal out there. I bought this saddle to replace my racing one. It's really comfortable. My friend had some prostrate issues that his doctor told him was due to extensive riding with a hard racing seat. This fixes that problem without adding too much weight. In my opinion the extra little weight is worth my prostrate health. I did have a clip-on saddle bad that no longer fits so if you use one I'd recommend a velcro strap bag. Overall a great saddle.Psyfrog
tried a few different seats and this one is the most comfortable since i don't have any real bike shorts with the extra padding. work well due to wider area for support. groove down the center cuts down weight and might improve air flow. its heavier than the skinny seats obviously but having a comfy seat is a must and weight should not be a big issue. I put this seat on my road bike and have commuted over 1000km this year and it still looks like new. of course everybody is different so it might not be the right seat for you but i was specifically looking for a wider seat as i thought it would be more comfortable.zoomanium

Great saddle for bikes that live in the garage and get taken out a few times a year. The cover isn't durable and easily soaks up rain. The sides of the channel are so soft and thin that they soon bend together and the channel disappears while riding. Just got the Selle Royal Alpine as a replacement. Excellent commuter saddle.

I have tried many bike seats and this has been the only one that I can ride on all day. I have bought one for every bike I own. Very comfortable and not hard. It doesnt rub on my inner thighs either. I am 52 and weigh 100lbs. I am not sure how it would fit a large person. I would not consider it oversized or wide. It is comparable in size to the memory foam seats that you see that are vented. I recently started using a Schwinn Sport Bike Saddle for my bike and I really like it. This is so much more comfortable than the seat that came on my bike. If you are a frequent biker, don't buy this! because the tip of the saddle hits the side of your thigh when your back is bent a little bit. This saddle is designed for cruise bikes meaning that your back should be completely straight all the time. The use can be that you wanna bike once a week and you want to be completely upright.
