20 Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner For Carpets (Jan 2023 Update)

I have hardwood floors and I simply want roomba to do a quick daily run on the high traffic areas (kitchen, high traffic passage/hall, and entrance). The whole area is roughly 800 sqf. I have change the settings to custom do that it does 1 run per area so that it's "as quick as possible", yet it takes about 1 hour to do 280 sqf, and that's if it doesn't get stuck. Every single day it manages to get stuck in the most stupid way possible. On the rare days it decides to do the entire job it also finds a way to screw up. As you can see in the attached picture, one day it decided it needed to clean my neighbor's house. So it happens that NY neighbor has the same iRobot model and we think somehow they were trying to get together for a good night out. The dumbest part of all? Now that route is permanently part of my map and the only way to erase it is to start from scratch again…. I can't believe the software doesn't allow for manual modifications to correct the dumbest "smart" appliance ever created. Another incredible aspect of this useless piece of junk is that it's built to run with the lights on. The camera that's on top of it, does not see well in darkness so you absolutely have to run roomba during the day of with the lights on!! Another annoying thing about this is that every 1 or 2 months it simply decides that it won't do the daily run for no apparent reason, so every time I have to press the clean bottom for 20 seconds to remind it that I actually do not like dog hair on the floors. Ling story short, do not buy this model. Even if you win it on a raffle, don't hesitate to give it away!!!! The sad part is that when it runs, it actually does a decent job on the hardwood floors. The thing is that it takes too long and only finishes about 2% of the job required. Like I mentioned before, my neighbor has the same model and he is equally as dissatisfied with it as I'm!Ricardo

I have had this robot for a year and it has been the worst purchase I've mad. The robot is completely infuriating. So let's start with the price – at the given price point I should be doing maintenance on this this only when brushes or bags need to be changed. It needs weekly cleaning and troubleshooting. The regular vacuum I purchased following this purchase (due to continued requests to return, and constant emails because this robot, has literally worked less than 9 times this entire year on command) requires me to empty it once a month with once a week use. The app is flaky at best and the robot almost never responds to it. Even though my virtual assistants can get it to at least make noise. Not to mention it's loud – all the time. Loud when emptying the bin, loud when running and loud when docking. The bin never empty's as designed so I always have to manually do it, with new bags old ones or anything. I thought it may have been clogged but my new vacuum pulled nothing. Operation is so infuriating, I can't stand to use this item that was supposed the make my life easier! The mapping is awful, and if you try to fix it to help the robot, you'll spend hours to discover that the adjustment only last as long as the robot doesn't run again! When the battery gets low, it never goes back to the base and because the battery is dead I have to search and find it. My smart home is set to turn the lights on when it's scheduled to o run, to help it "see", and it still manages to not be able to find its way back. To make matters worse, the lights were set to go off when the robot redocks – luckily they still went off after an the robot died. I could go on and on about the sink hole of money you will spend on accessories, and the time you will waist troubleshooting nothing, but I would say – just don't waist your money, spend it on a Dyson or Bissell!Shay

This is our first foray into the world of Robot vacuums and must say I personally am blown away by it. We have owned it for the last one month or so. We chose the S9+ iRobot Roomba since based on my research, it is the best robotic vacuum at this time. So far it has fit this bill perfectly. The installation was very simple and my daughter did it since she was so super excited about it that she would not wait up for me. So by the time I got to it, she had already installed it and kept it ready to go. We put in the laundry room and it does not take much space. We started the mapping run on day one of installation. It took a good 5-6 hours and we had a bit of doubt as to what exactly it was doing. But apparently this robot learns and now we have a daily schedule that vacuums the most frequently areas which it finishes in an hour and 10-12 mins like clock work. We have tiles on the first floor with carpet in two rooms. The vacuum switches from tile to carpet mode effortlessly. The vacuum’s suction (S9+ has the highest suction in current range of iRobot vaccums) seems just right. I am amazed at how the vacuum navigates itself through the maze in your house. The careful drive feature does work and it does not bump into objects. Also it seems to clean in areas that our usual vacuum does not reach. Although my wife would occasionally sweeps the floor to bring dirt from under normally stationary objects like sofa etc, it is not needed everyday. For the daily quick clean, make sure though that there are no dangling wires that may get entangled in the vacuum or any clothes. The vacuum can get stuck if there are clothes lying around. We do “clean everywhere “ deep clean on the weekends and that job finishes in about 5 years. If I had to suggest improvements, I would say somehow if they can make it more quieter in future, it would be awesome. Also I know this is asking too much, but if it can do stairs and go on second floor too. 🙂 Little bit regarding the Mop. We were debating whether we should buy the Vacuum and Mop combo but decided to go for it since Bestbuy was giving a nice discount on the combo during the Black Friday sale. The mop does a decent job, is very quiet and even tells you if you forget to fill the cleaning fluid. It takes a long time though so if anything, that is what I would ask for improvement. Places that my vacume just can't get. The overall result is a much less dusty home – I like that you can see what she's up to or where she's stuck on the app even when you're not home. – I love that she auto senses walls and furniture and doesn't knock stuff over or leave scuff marks on the walls or furniture. Things that could be better – The walls and the "no go zones" are a bit hit and miss. Especially if you move furniture and she can then get in there. – ITS LOUD on full speed/high suction. Not nearly as loud as a regular vacume of course, but its extremely annoying when shes in the same room as you lol. (Having said that- I am an extra sensitive person and have noise rreactive ptsd so I am very likely over exadurrating how annoying it is. It really doesn't bother my husband at all) -I WISH it came with the auto-empty station. Ours gets full after 2 goes around our house (we have a big house though and she does every room). I often forget to empty her and a spoken reminder when the machine runs next would be nice or for a bundle deal when buying both. -When she mops, if you have anything powdery on the floor she may leave streaks of her every pass all over your floors. But this isn't really some thing to worry excessively about, it only happened to us because hubby left jiprock residue on the floor and then she cleaned lol. – She will eat ALL cords. You have to be EXTREMELY careful with phone charging cords, power cords and especially headphones, cos she WILL suck them up and get stuck and probably break them (she ate my senheizer headphones lol) – She will try to eat your curtains if they're sheers and sit on the floor lol. -The black version which we have shows dust badly on the top of her, just needs a frequent wipe down. – The little bin that holds the rubbish is tiny and its tedious as heck to try and empty it out completely, the housing for the filter means you can't just remove the filter and tip out the rubbish, you need to stand there and manually prize it out of all the little nooks and crannies. Not overly annoying but i wish the whole end just opened and then it'd all slide out and into the bin with minimal handling too, the way it is now, you have to pinch the fluff and dust goes flying everywhere. Overall though, I really love the little thing and she's saving my back and my vacumes life. She's extremely handy and i'll definitely buy this brand again if/when we need to upgrade.Penegeau

The marketing materials indicate this robot can map multiple floors and then know which floor its on. This isn't strictly true. This only works if the robot is unable to see another floor when it maps. I have a house with split levels. The robot is able to see all the split levels because its lidar bounces from the walls so the floors are mapped. However, if you move the robot into one of the split levels, it is completely lost. It isn't an option to create another map for the split level because you can only create one map for the same area. When I contacted the company about this, they suggested using a ramp to get the robot in and out of the split level areas. Kludged to say the least plus one of my split levels is approximately 2 ft lower than the main floor and the robot is incapable of climbing a ramp at that angle. They advised that the R&D department might find a fix, but no guarantees or timeline. I am also disappointed with the running time which, in my experience, is no where near the 3 hours quoted. After trawling through other's experiences on Reddit, I discovered that keeping the mop and water tank attached causes too much drag on the carpet, meaning the robot's battery drains quickly. To clean just one floor of my house on one charge, I have to vacuum the carpets first, then attach the mop and water tank and clean the hard floors. Again, this is a very different experience to what I expected because the marketing materials indicate the robot can do it all in one cycle. The only reason that I've given this robot 3 stars is because it does clean well, but I paid more for this robot than competitor models because of the multi floor mapping and mop/vacuum 'in one go' options. I've been thinking about getting a robot hoover for a while now and I bought the Roborock finally! Super easy to set up – it needs to be placed in an area that has space on either side and in front of it to allow it to work effectively. Once the docking station is in place and the vacuum is on the dock it's as simple as downloading the dedicated app and following the instructions. It's simple and intuitive to set up and caused me no issues. Once you're all ready to go I suggest letting it fully charge before setting it to work. In order to get the best out of the vacuum let it do a few 'map runs' before starting cleaning. This basically means he moves about your house learning about your environment and creating a virtual map – he does this without cleaning so it's faster. After the mapping run my full downstairs was mapped out and ready to clean. A really good feature is that you can draw exclusions zones and also zones where you want extra cleaning such as a high traffic area – this has worked well for me as I excluded the area around my cat food bowls so the vacuum doesn't eat any wet cat food! If you're looking for a robot vacuum look no further – save the extra money for the Roborock and don't settle for a substandard product. I don't hoover my house anymore because this guy does it for me and does a far better job than I ever could!Michele

Let me tell you how great this little guy (or girl) is. In the year 2018, I decided to get my self a furry companion. I wont bore with the details on how I named her but her name is Rona. Little did I know, Rona was going to be the dog equivalent of a hurricane except instead of rain and wind, shes a fur and farts. Also, little did I know, there was going to be a world pandemic 2 years later that would take her nickname "Rona season" to a whole new level. But let me tell you, my dog dogs fur could go toe-to-toe with covid on who spreads faster. At this point I may have lost you, but every great story has a detailed set up. With our move into a new home that is immensely larger than our previous studio in the city, we knew we could not keep up with cleaning. In comes Victor, our new iRobot i7 vacuum. After a short issue connecting to our wifi (my fault, not victors), we got this little guy (possibly girl) up and rolling. With in a day, victor new our new floor plan faster than I could mow the front lawn (its really small #colorado). Speaking of colorado, victor has no issue with high altitude contrary to unpopular belief. All in all, victor has saved us from the pain of vacuuming. I set victor up to run in the morning and evening and he (could be a she) is looking skinnier than even. I find my self watching victor vacuum like my old neighbor used to watch me vacuum. Except he was outside looking in. Highly recommend the purchase. You wont regret it.Kyle

Great vacuuming assistant – 4.5 stars in our opinion. Have had it now 4 months. Background: mostly one level house with laminate and tile floors, couple of throw rugs. Dining room has table with 6 chairs. Kitchen counter has 3 pedestal stools. When we down sized to this house kept minimal furniture. One border Collie. Roughly 2500 sq ft that we want robot to maintain (excludes stairs and room over garage). Here's our experience: to best use the robot, let it map your house. Then divide house into rooms. Rather than let the robot clean the entire house , clean by specific jobs that include 3-4 rooms so the robot can complete it without having to stop and recharge. To get the best clean in the quickest time, move portable items into rooms not on the cleaning job list. For example, we move the six dining room chairs to the sunroom. This cuts the cleaning time by about 1/3 as the robot can vacuum straight lines, rather than try to work its way around multiple chair legs. It also ensures that the robot can get under the table completely. We do a similar thing with the sunroom's high top stools. For the pedestal stools in kitchen, we pull them out so the robot can make a pass without trouble under the counter. The robot will climb the smooth base to clean them. For us with the dog, a bag fills in about a month. The robot can't get onto the fireplace hearth or go over the triple sliding glass door track that leads to the sunroom. Nor will it do behind open doors that are flush to walls. So you still need a broom or handheld wand. Buy on sale!2oldtohear

I had high hopes for the roomba I7 and the braava jet by iRobot, but about 7 months into my roomba ownership it is not the hassle free experience it's made out to be. My I7 worked great for about a month and a half, but since then it's been plagued by numerous issues, glitches, and vastly reduced battery life. I've called support 4 times fo report issues, and generally, troubleshooting fixes my issues for a week or so at a time before another issue arises. I'm lucky if I get 45 min average battery life on my I7 now, but when I called support, I was advised that "it's normal"…after only owning it for 7 months. Nevermind that it takes 3 hours to return to a full charge after only running for 45 minutes. The braava is a completely separate issue. Between the tracks and the film on my floors, it doesn't get used much. However, I bought a water softener and filtration system, and the film is a lot less than it used to be, but if you don't have soft water, the film can be rather unsightly. While I was expecting that cleaning my house would to be easier when I bought my roomba and braava, instead I find I spend as much time changing pads, replacing filters, and swapping out brushes; emptying bins or filling tanks; cleaning off sensors and troubleshooting issues; and getting frustrated that my roomba can't actually clean as on demand as it's made out to be. My roomba randomly gets lost and can't find the home base causing me to track it down in the most unlikely of places; gets drunk and randomly falls of the ramp onto the home base; or worse yet just runs out of battery in the middle of a job and stops in the middle of the floor. My advice to someone thinking about buying: don't own a dog, don't have kids, and don't live an active lifestyle. Why you might ask…..because the roomba and braava will not help you save time cleaning up after any of them consistently.Frustrated

Great product, mapping is the best I have seen, suction is good but I would recommend to vacuum every 3 days as the manufacturer says. The time saving is the most precious asset of this type of machine as you can do something else while the robot does the job for you. Easy to clean and filter are replaceable. However, sometimes it leaves some minor debris (just a few) and the corners are not it best but these are minor things. Customer service it awesome, my robot stopped working properly, sent it to the repair center and got a new one. It important to mention that you should remove small items from the floor like lego bricks and also clothing before activating the robot, otherwise it will get stuck. Again, the best asset of this product is the time saving, at the beginning I was not sure expending so much money but after these years is totally worth it. I decided to go for this brand and specific model and not for a some other brand cheaper to avoid the frustration of a bad job and end up vacuuming the floor with a normal vacuumFerLin

We were debating whether we should buy the Vacuum and Mop combo but decided to go for it since Bestbuy was giving a nice discount on the combo during the Black Friday sale. The mop does a decent job, is very quiet and even tells you if you forget to fill the cleaning fluid. It takes a long time though so if anything, that is what I would ask for improvement. I got this vacuum about 3 weeks ago. It has made my life so much easier. I love the way it vacuums, the app is pretty easy to use. The mop does an ok job of course it doesn't mop perfect but it mops as expected. I love the Self-Emptying feature and the filter is easy to clean, just run under water and let airdry. Definitely worse the money! Would recommend to family and friends!Natascha

Yeedi vaccum worked great for the first few months. As the one year warranty was reaching its end I noticed the vacuum would not be able to dock on the vac station properly to charge. Sent pictures to the company asked them for advice on how to fix it, or a replacement. No response. I continue sending them messages and they have said nothing. Do not buy this vacuum the customer service and support for any issues is horrible.Shawn

I had a first generation Roomba several years ago and was always amazed at the amount of dirt and hair it picked up. With several pets in the house, hair is always an issue. I run it every morning while I am eating breakfast/reading emails. It gets around the whole house and finds its way home when the battery gets low. I have thin Ruggable carpets that it goes over easily and thoroughly. It notifiies me on my phone when it is in trouble. Has fallen down a step only once and otherwise has not gotten in a bind that it can't get out of. I am thoroughly impressed with this Roomba for the priceCattail

Buddy is our very first household iRobot Roomba. We purchased this unit from Sam's Club back in December 2018 and at that time, the latest model was the i7. We decided on this model, because we didn't need additional features like the floor mapping and the auto emptying bin. We liked that this was wifi-capable and that it worked with our Google Home smart devices. We have been diligent in keeping Buddy clean after every use. He is scheduled to vacuum and clean the floor every other day. A Couple of Cons: 1. Sometimes he gets lost and can't find his home base, but that's because his home base was located where there were a lot of obstacles in the way. So we moved his charging home base to a better location and he hasn't had any problems finding it when his battery is low. 2. Buddy sometimes misses spots, but it's not a deal-breaker. Nothing that a second-run can't fix. 3. He has no problems cleaning rugs and carpets, but he truly hates our plush, fluffy rug (lol – there is another term for this rug, but the iRobot site flagged the term… good grief). So, we got rid of that rug. Problem solved. It is only this year that we decided to get the latest model – the s9 and m6 bundle. We are so impressed with Buddy that we did not hesitate to invest in other iRobot models for the house.Nicole

This is our first robot vacuum, and it was purchased to replace an old upright. We keep a pretty clean house, but some dirt and hair is shed daily. The allure of this product was daily cleaning without anyone needing to take the time to manage the vacuuming. A few things to appreciate: our relatively small home is covered by the vacuum which works its way around or under our furniture with relative ease in about 45 minutes, the app is intuitive, and the wireless connection allows setting up a cleaning job away from home and monitoring progress if you feel the need for such things. If you only have non-carpeted spaces and no pets, this is likely a good vacuum for your needs. Unfortunately, overall this robot vacuum doesn't work as advertised. We have an Australian Shepherd whose dog fur is picked up, wrapped up with other pieces of fur and then deposited in clumps on all carpeted surfaces (except for the pieces that are wrapped around the dual rubber brushes). This means we have to walk around after the job finishes to clean up clumps of knotted dog hair. The robot works really well and is easy to use. The mop is good if you want a light clean since no soap can be used. I like that the dust bin is large and holds a good amount of dust and dirt before having to dispense. I am still learning to use the Mi Home app properly so it can map my home but overall I am happy with my purchase.V

Vacuum works great but it gets stuck under the fridge and dishwasher which I dont like. It senses the stairs so that was good. Didnt mop to good and it got stuck even more mopping than it does vacuuming. The app works ok but needs improvement with features and commands should have both for vacuum and mopping.queenvq

We were so excited about this being our first robot vacuum.. unfortunately it was a horrible experience. First it gets stock on everything, dishwasher , couch, chair. Secondly, it has no radar it runs into everything and then adjusts but doesn’t remember it for future cleans. Thirdly, the mop feature doesn’t work as efficient as it makes it seem. Then after we settled with all those problems it started shorting out just 20 days after purchase. Thankfully we can still return and get another brand. Not a quality product.Connor

My house is a 2217 square foot house and its floors are over 75% carpet which requires good vacuuming considering there are small children and a wide layout of rooms on both floors which necessitates a robot vacuum on each floor to ensure deep cleaning on carpets to prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt. This Robot Shark IQ has a high level of absorption leaving a great job in its wake. The ground floor has a large dining room, office, bathroom, laundry room, kitchen and hallway areas that require good vacuuming and I have noticed that even with all of that, it has mapped it out super well in just 3 cycles. , and has started off in a different direction each time, obviously looking to complete the map and is doing an excellent job so far. He has had no problem returning to his "mother ship" to unload when needed and picking up where he left off. Run time on most tile and carpet floors can be approximately 90 minutes, including 1 or 2 round trips to unload. After loading, it will come back out and pick up where it left off, just as you'd expect. On the second floor there are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the work is repeated in the same way with an impeccable finish due to its powerful suction level… it is a great appliance that saves us time and we can program it to clean without us being at home. My 3rd Shark Robot A few years ago I bought a Shark ION RV750 robovac on eBay and was blown away by what a good job it did, so I purchased a Shark R85 on the next Prime Day, but was disappointed as it seemed it wasn't an upgrade, if anything it performed a little worse (it was slightly taller so it didn't fit under as many items of furniture), but it still did an excellent job. So moving into a tri-level home, I knew I wanted to get one more, but was torn between getting another 750 (which I knew worked well – and it's still going strong to this day!) or if I wanted to splurge and get the IQ Self-Empty. The appeal of being able to map and then determine which rooms were to be vacuumed was a big appeal as I've got two teens and their rooms aren't always robovac friendly. I also really liked the idea of not having another robovac to empty daily. We have 3 cats and a dog – along with allergies, so daily vacuuming is a must – and it's always a full bin. I considered the Roomba i7+ and i9+, but figured that I'd already had such a good experience with Shark that I'd stick with what I know works, and works well. So I decided to give the IQ a try. I'm already blown away! It's exceeded my expectations and it hasn't even completed the mapping process yet. As always, set up was a breeze. It's only ran a few times, but I can already tell a difference between it and the 750 that was previously on the top floor. I have a Shark Apex vacuum and the carpets are closer to that level of clean than the ION 750 which is astounding. Unlike my other two robovacs, it sets out and vacuums row by row with an impressive amount of precision. It does, as expected, fail to get debris in compact corners (for example the 4 inches of wall between the dresser and the doorway). It's ability to navigate around items, but then remember exactly where it left off once it has gone around, cleaned and returns to that spot, is equally impressive. The precision in which it finds the dock and loads in unlike the other two robovacs, albeit, I don't give it the suggested space around the dock (all three versions do just fine docking even with minimal surrounding open space). When it self-empties, it is loud, but not any more so than how a normal household vacuum sounded about 20 years ago, and it only lasts for about a minute, if that. I love this little robovac so much that I could see myself replacing the other two older ones with this model in the next year or so. Let me be clear, emptying the bins daily isn't bad at all. It's that the only trash wide enough to easily ensure none of the dust or debris go into the air or on the surrounding ground is the kitchen trash – and that's assuming no one's loaded up the trash to almost being full, and while most of the time, I'll go dump the bins in large trash, if I'm running out the door or in the middle of something else, I do tend to just go to the nearest trash can – which makes a small mess (although much less messy than not having the floors clean at all!).Ashlie

We’ve owned other robot vacuums and it’s very apparent the difference in quality, performance and advanced features with this Shark IQ Robot. The vacuum is very thoroughly at cleaning every nook and cranny. It can transition easily from hardware floors to rugs. There are blocking strips that are included if you don’t want it to go in certain areas such as cords or fringe materials. It does a good job of getting out of a spot that it can get stuck in. I was very impressed that it would maneuver on and off the base of our bar stools. It will get under beds, sofas and tables as long as there is clearance. I would highly recommend downloading the Shark Clean app so the robot can map your house and you can control, monitor and schedule to have it automatically start cleaning or you can turn it off and it will return back to the charging dock. So cute! The best part is the self emptying function that will empty all the debris each time it returns to the base. The only negative feedback is that it is very loud when it performs the self emptying function, but at least you know that it is working. We don’t wear shoes in the house and like to vacuum every few days to pick up any dust and dirt which is very noticeable and enjoyable. This is well worth the price.saleetah

I have several robot vacuums and I can absolutely recommend this one, it cleans well and the navigation is also really good. I'm also going to talk about something that isn't common because my situation is unique. I'm a blind person and can't read print. I use an Iphone which has a built in screen reader called Voiceover which allows a person to use the touch screen if they can't see it. Basically, it allows you to touch anywhere on the screen and hear the item that you have touched, or you can swipe a finger left and right to move through the items on the screen. To activate the item that was spoken, you double tap anywhere on the screen. Depending on how apps are designed, some applications will read better than others. The Eufy home app works really well with Voiceover. I had no problem creating an account and setting up my robot. I also have no problem sending the bot out to clean or changing its settings. The main setting I wanted to change was to set the cleaning power to the highest setting, I figure if the robot has the power, why not use it? The one thing I can't do is use the features that require you to draw on the map but that's the way it is with all robot vacuums, there is no way to speak that kind of information. I always prefer to clean my entire place so for me this is not a concern. This is a great robot vacuum and I could not be happier with it.Mike A.

I have been using the Deboot Ozmo 920 since mid August. Admittedly, I was very skeptical when my husband brought the Deboot home as I have never used a robotic vacuum before. However, after using it for a few weeks, I have to admit that this little robotic vacuum is a definite time saver and I was surprised at how well it can clean my floors. I also appreciate the mopping features and it does a good job with no streaks on my hardwood floors. The features and price of the Deboot Ozmo 920 are top notch and work just as well if not better than other leading brands. The laser mapping and software work very well, and having the ability to setup virtual "no go" zones is a definite asset and allows you to dynamically set up zones while mapping which prevent it from getting tangled in cables behind furniture. The multi-floor feature also works well, and the robot has always been able to successfully identify which floor it is on and automatically chooses the appropriate map. Now that the additional charging station is available for purchase, I will likely buy this to avoid having to move the charger between floors. Overall, I have been very pleased with the Ozmo 920 and after showing friends and family, they have also expressed an interest in owning one.CatherineB

I first purchased the Ozmo 930 back in June, 2019. At first, I absolutely loved it. It did a wonderful jobbing mapping the layout of my house and cleaned the entire place in just about an hour with no issues. But about 6 weeks into owning it, it started having some issues. It would seem to get lost, just spinning around over the same spot without actually being physically stuck on anything. The mapping function no longer seemed to work, as it would say the cleaning was complete while leaving two entire rooms completely untouched. I originally purchased the vacuum on Overstock, and was required to go through Ecovacs to return it. At first, they were really difficult to work with, but in the end, they did accept the return and send me a new one. I received the new one in August and waited to review it to see how it did. Well, just like before, about 6 weeks into using it, I'm experiencing the same issues once more. Only now it's even worse. The battery will die before finishing the clean, which it never had that issue before. It only takes an hour to clean the place; the battery should last longer than that. Again, it gets stuck on nothing at all, appears to get lost and skips entire rooms. Just like before, I've done the troubleshooting. The sensors are clean. The vacuum is properly maintained. It just seems like the computer system in it stops working over time. This shouldn't happen for the price of this. I'm now going to request a return for a full refund, as I have no interest in trying a third vacuum from this company. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! UPDATE: In response to this review, Ecovacs offered an exchange to the upgraded Ozmo 920. I gave it a try and have found this one to have the same issues, only far worse. It moves around as if it really can't see where it is going. It claims to have finished the clean and returns to the charging dock after having completed half a room. My house has a very wide open layout, free from clutter and obstacles. There is no reason at all that it should be experiencing such difficulty. I sent a video to the company showing them what was happening and telling them that I am finished with their products and just want my money back. They responded telling me they would swap out my original vacuum so that I could return it for a refund from the place of purchase, and that I just needed to confirm my address. I did so and asked for the return shipping label so that I could send this one back to them and get the exchange going. They have never responded back. That was 9 days ago and I've emailed them twice since. This has been a huge waste of time/energy/money and I just want to be finished dealing with this company altogether.NicoleMCgm

Can’t seem to find the charging port after taking on and off line restarting to factory settings it still says bring my to charging port laser frequently says LDS malfunction
No idea why nothing is blocking speaking that laser guidance it protrudes off the to of the robot over a inch just enough to get caught under a table and it keeps getting stuck under the same location so you have to get up and remove from under the table robot will say check the driving wheels and the dust bin

I've had a Bob and a Shark autovac and this iHome is the easiest to set up both the vacuum and the app. It's wifi connected immediately. Programming it to clean on specific days and times was extremely easy as well. I think the hardest thing to do was locate the power and home buttons which are touch sensitive and are unable to be seen if not lit up. This vacuum charges quickly and does a decent job sweeping and mapping a course. I have several throw rugs down, to help my GSD with traction, and this robot vac only got stuck once when it actually sucked up the rug and got jammed. My Shark got stuck on them constantly because it's wheels weren't large enough, which is one main reason I stopped using it. This iHome vac also easily finds it's recharging station before it runs out of life. The bin isn't as large as my Bob Pet was but it did my kitchen, dining room and small hallway before I emptied it and it would have he'd a little more. I haven't used it on the main carpet yet so I can't speak to how it will do there but I don't expect these robot vacs to manage heavier items such as carpets with deeper pile. I deep clean those with my Shark lift vac. This iHome robot vac is perfect to just make life a little easier cleaning my hardwoods and tile while having 3 dogs!lindchad

Eclipse G 2 does good on our hard surface floors such as kitchen and hardwood areas and just okay on carpet areas. Not a replacement for real vacuum cleaner or mop, but help keep up and extend full vacuum and mopping. I do like the mop feature and does surprisingly well especially if you spray hard floor lightly with cleaner. I don't see how this says it has navigation, it will tell you where it has been on phone app. however it don't remember room layouts and everytime it goes out it just bumps around like any plain robot vacuum. I found it works best if you just use remote and tell it to do room boarders then tell it to go back and forth in pattern otherwise it just bounces off everthing in no order. It also will not find home base if it is not with 5 feet from it. pushing home button just makes it bump around in circles until you make it go within the 5 feet of base. I'm also afraid that the battery my not last too much longer and only had it 4 months. I have notice a dramatic drop in battery life since new so I might have to use the extended warranty I purchased for it. All in all a okay robot vacuum/mop for the price, but I sure there are better out there. I will mark as yes to recommend item only for those that don't expect true navigation and have open floor plan areas.btim3

love this vaccum! i got it on clearance for $115 so the price value was amazing because its regularly $399! i have to say this thing is awesome! it has a super suction option and i pretty much only run it on that super suction. it picks up great! it really gets the sides of walls great too, its engineered to bump up to the sides and get every crumb. ive had robot vacuums in the past that were the bottom of the line robots that were "cheap" ($120 eufy brand) and so i was reluctant to buy another one but im so glad i did! it really does do a great job and i dont have to go behind it with my dust mop picking up the slack. i also love that i can just switch out the dust bin with the mop bucket and have it mop as well! it also vacuums in order! its not all over the place like the cheaper eufy robot vacuum. if your going to invest in a robot vacuum dont even waste your time with the "cheap" ones. you have to go big or go home. this one is excellent and ive heard its comparable to the $699 roomba. so it does save you a bit of money unless your lucky enough to find it on sale for $115 like i did! 🙂patrick

The iLife Robot is great. I gets underneath areas that are hard for me to clean. It usually takes 2 charges to clean the entire house so the battery life is pretty good. It’s easy to clean up too. Highly recommend. Even the pup approves!amanda.k

I have seven Chihuahua's life was a nightmare with trying to keep up with the dog hair not any more. We call this little worker DJ Beetle! (get it… eh eh?? maybe not lol) He keeps our house looking amazing considering we have two dogs and a now 13 month old. It is easy to set up and easy to get a specific time set so it will automatically do it itself. What we do not like about it is that it does tend to get stuck sometimes and has some weird obsession with getting stuck in our bathroom and closing the door.. However, when the battery starts to die or it is done it's task of rocking the house it will return to base till his next mission. The downside to him in terms of cleaning is he is not very good at taking dog hair off low pile carpeting but considering he takes about 1 hour worth of cleaning off my plate everyday he has earned his keep in the house lol!tori.a

I've had a few robot vacuums over the past few years. I've tried the big names like Neato D-Vacs / Roombas ($400-$700 range) and I found that while they had great suction power and capacity, their navigation abilities made them useless. All the cleaning power in the world means nothing if your robot vacuum never makes it back to it's base to charge and you're stuck hunting for it to carry it home everyday. I got this Eufy G30 Verge on a special buy price of $169 down from the usual $350, and it absolutely blows all of the other robot vacuums I've tried out of the water. It's very deceiving when you first fire it up since it's extremely thin and makes very little noise. I actually tried feeding it a couple dust bunnies to make sure it was on because it was so quiet. Despite this, 30mins into letting it map my house, I had to empty the dust bin because it was full….. with dust and hair (as seen in the pic)…. that was still on my floor without me being able to see it after manually vacuuming the day before. It ran for about an hour and generated a full map of my 1000 square foot condo before heading back directly to it's dock to charge. You can watch it generate the map using the app, and you can see that it uses that map to navigate your home perfectly. It moved in clean lines and then shot to areas of the condo that had missing boundaries on the map to fill in the data. Its very clear watching this bot move that it's far more intelligent than non-mapping bots, especially those that just bump around forever. SUMMARY The compact and stylish Eufy G30 Verge is the king of navigating homes and always making it back to its dock. While it may lack the power and capacity of some of it's larger robot vacuum rivals such as the Neato D-Bot or Samsung models, it is more than capable of ridding your low-pile carpet and hard floors of hair and dust. Although I wouldn't recommend this for homes with operating areas larger than 1000 square feet or large levels of hair and debris like food, this is the perfect bot vac for areas less than 1000 square feet that is generally clean but you would like to maintain. This isn't a miracle worker that can deep clean your floors, but with a price tag of under $200 it's an absolute steal.Alex

I usually love the brand, Eufy. I have had two now. My first one is the first edition and it lasted a few years before it started to be really loud. It still sucked (literally sucked, not it was bad, sucked), but was too loud. So, I bought this one to replace my old one. I put my old one upstairs and kept this one downstairs. First off, it was a fantastic robot. It sucked everything up really well! It was really quiet and really fast. I keep really good care of everything I own. So, I regularly cleaned the filter and cleaned the wheels and did maintenance on to keep it going good. The warranty ran out at 12 months and at 13-14 months my little robot stopped sucking as well and became really loud. I contacted the Eufy corporate office and they told me a bunch of things to do to help the robot. So, I cleaned everything again and the problem stayed the same. I replied again and they offered me a discount. I explained that I think I might have a faulty one because my other one has lasted for years. Also, I did not want to buy another one for it to stop working at 13 months. They then offered a replacement kit, which contained brushes. I already had bought brand new brushes and I knew that this was not the problem. It stopped sucking up debris, so brushes were not what I needed. I explained all of this to them and they said that there warranty is for 12 months and I can honor the discount and that is all they can do. They and I were very polite to each other, but we just do not agree. I normally only review if an item was good, but I just did not want someone else to buy this and have it not work one to two months after the warranty runs out.CJ

We don’t wear shoes in the house and like to vacuum every few days to pick up any dust and dirt which is very noticeable and enjoyable. This is well worth the price.saleetah
