20 Best Robot Vacuum For Above Ground Pool (Jan 2023 Update)

The cleaner came intact in sealed box. Very minimal assembly; just have to straigthen the hose cuts for the tail and main hose. The wall quick diaconnect fitted easily on the existing pool wall pipe. All I had to do was adjuat the tail knob and cleaned my pool in less than 4 hours. Awesome product for the money. The hoses seem to be a little stiffed but hope get more plyable with time in the water.jeq-enterprises

For the price you can't beat it. Needs better instructions for adjustment. I would not suggest using the wall fitting that comes with it if you are replacing a Polaris. Use the Polaris fitting and attach the hose to it. This gives you the option to use restrictor plates and the overall wall fitting is better. The hose is almost reason enough to buy this unit. It is an excellent hose and contains all the floats and swivels you need. That is worth at least 1/2 of the cost of this unit in itself. The first drawback though does start with the hose and is not limited to this hose as I have had some Polaris hoses act the same way when new. When you try to attach the hose to the top of the unit you might find it near impossible to actually cut a thread into the hose so until the hose loses it's sheen due to chemicals you will likely need to leave it on there buy force of friction. Maybe a good wire tie. That leads me to the 2nd issue. The tail. This comes with a nice perfectly good tail and an apparently week clip. The clip disappeared never to be seen again within a week. Had to wire tie it on. Unit also seems to be overly hungry for it's own tail. Have had to rescue the tail from throat and bag a couple of times. Probably means they used a hose that is too supple fora tail. Not sure how to fix that other than maybe replacing it with an actual Polaris tail. Don't worry about the Polaris backup. Drain it and put it away. This unit has backup built in. Sometimes spends too much time in backup mode. Performance is a bit subpar compared to a Polaris 180 in terms of wall climbing. My unit won't come all the way up a wall. I guess the good side of that though is it's not spraying everyone randomly. I don't like the double wall bag as it's hard to empty. Only a moderate improvement on a 180 bag in catch rate. Still prefer panty hose over any Polaris bag. Overall I do recommend it just be aware of it's quirks.warriorack

After 5 years with the Aquabot Pool Rover Jr., I replaced it with the Dolphin Escape for my above ground 18×33 oval pool. After one season, I could not be happier. In my opinion, a much better product for the following reasons: it brushes the bottom of the pool, removing stubborn algae, does a much better job cleaning the corners of the pool walls and even slightly climbs them, the cord does not twist up, emptying the bag and cleaning it is a breeze, much faster than the pool rover and you don't have to worry about remembering to switch the swivel pin from side to side, it has a larger handle making it easier to hook and lift out of the pool. It has done an excellent job cleaning my pool. I've read some reviews by some who are not happy with the supplied basket and they end up purchasing an accessory finer basket for very small debris. I think the supplied debris basket is fine. I do not know how reliable and how long the product will last but it seems to be sturdy and well built.domini1515

I've been buying and using rechargeable above ground pool vacuums for the past 5 years. I bought the Dolphin E10 about a month ago and realized I should have bought it sooner. I didn't want to spend the money but it's well worth it. It's absolutely wonderful! I pride myself on keeping my pool clean but since using the Dolphin E10, my pool has been absolutely crystal clean. There are no hoses to connect through the skimmer but it does have a cable that connects to electricity. I just love it!Judy

This cleaner has muscle, I love the 4×4 design and the directional remote control makes this unit the best. No need for the WiFi. I have a 32k gallon pool and this unit walks the wall with no problem. Love how it cleans the waterline and tiles, fantastic cleaner and fun to watch it handle its duties. Surprised at the filter screen design, it picks up a lot of fine particles and debris. Switching from the suction system, I'm happy to be able to free up my pump motor from cleaning the pool as well. This is my first robot cleaner, and so fare its working above my expectation. Looking forward to getting many years of good cleaning experience from this 9550 sport.Greg

Firstly I would say buying a pool cleaning robot is a nightmare – seems like no matter what model you get, no matter how cheap or expensive someone will say it sucks (no pun intended). However after hearing my wife's input from a Facebook swimming pool owners group she was a member of about the Polaris I decided to go with the 9550. I did't want or need all the fancy WiFi and phone stuff so was able to pick this up for a good discount from a well known pool supply retailer. A benefit of that is the warranty starts from when they hand it over to you, and they have in house servicing under warranty so no sending it away or anything if it goes wrong. And yeah, their nearest outlet is literally walking distance from me.So, on to my review.Initial impressions after assembling the caddy were1. There's a lot of plastic and the tires didn't seem as grippy as I would have expected.2. It's smaller than I thought and quite heavy for the size – so dense3. Otherwise seems simple and well designed.It took about 10 minutes to assemble the caddy and attach the control unit. After that I was able to get it hooked up and in the pool cleaning in minutes – the basic controls are simple. I'm not interested in programmed cleaning which seems pointless unless you're going to leave it in the pool which they don't recommend. You'll need to clean the filter each time anyway.The lift and retrieval system took a bit of getting used to. Counter intuitively the end of the robot with the cable sticking out of is the front. But once you've figured it out it's easy to guide to the edge where it climbs easily even from 8 feet down. Lifting from the pool and cleaning the filter was easy too. I'm guessing that high pressure jets are probably responsible for a lot of the claims about the filter breaking or separating so I recommend a gentle spray from the outside to wash out dirt and then pick out any big bits that stick.In terms of cleaning thoroughness – I have a 36'x16' double-roman rectangular pool with rounded ends and a couple of steps at one end. In six cleanings it has never cleaned the top step and has not well cleaned the second step. It usually misses a spot of two in the middle of the pool. This robot does not have a compass and AFAIK has no pool mapping algorithm, the algorithm is more like a random walk. Even if it has a map It does not have a compass so after hitting walls and falling off at an angle it is probably lost again. I have tried using a bottom only mode and switching the pool type setting to non-rectangular. I'm unsure if that made a difference as I have little dirt any more to really tell.But the pool cleaning is quick – only 90 minutes so running multiple times isn't the end of the world. Or if you are in the hurry pick up the remote and manually guide it to the spots to clean. I actually only just figured out the remote could do that – I thought it was just for guiding the lift out at the end. Obviously I did not read the manual thoroughly the first time!My pool is suffering from some black algae – it obviously doesn't remove those spots, even a stainless wire brush doesn't do that so no way would the rubber scrubber do anything. But it might be softening it up a bit. I suspect with regular algae it is would be more effective – especially at stopping it building up in the first place.I will say that after initial cleanings with my 9550 I was somewhat disappointed by the amount of dirt still on the bottom of my pool quite apart from the missed spots. The day after cleaning it seemed my pool had silt again so whatever the Polaris had sucked up made it through the system again and settled out. However I already knew about the optional ultra-fine filter (part number R0535800 ) and had ordered it the day I got my robot. On the first clean using that filter it picked up an amazing amount of silt that's so fine it looks like sludge (see photo). Even after two more cleans it was still picking it up. This is probably not surprising since my pool used to have a DE (diatomaceous earth) filter that I ditched when the canister split so there was probably a bunch of that ultra-fine junk in the water.Clearly this junk is still passing through the pool system cartridge filter which probably explains why when I swept all the dirt to the main drain it would come right back the next day. So combined with regular cleanings using the Polaris robot with its ultra-fine filter I think I can a) remove the residual DE entirely, and b) keep the ultra-fine particles from the air out in the future. Since one of the reasons for using DE is to get rid of fine particles I'm confident this is combo of cartridge + robotic ultra-fine filtering is a good way to go. Obviously the robot won't filter 30,000 gallons a day but incrementally I think it will let me easily stay on top of ultra fine particulates that a cartridge misses but with all the convenience and low maintenance of the cartridge system.Incidentally several websites selling it claim the uSimon W.

This review is on 9*** series. The model I was using was the "top of the line" version the P965iQ. The 9**** series share the same platform. Differences are controllers and cable detanglers (doesn't always work, that's why if you look carefully at the manual and box they says assists in detangling not prevents detangling).Had the 9650 for two weeks, in the process my pool was wrecked. IT HAS BEEN RETURNED !!!!!!!I bought the 9650 because it was supposed to be intelligent and "the best at cleaning". 0 iQ intelligent, that's it actual intelligence level. It's purely gimmick advertising. Things dumb as a rock just has some timers in it has absolutely no intelligence to it. The 9650 has to have an app to set timers that can be set, so if for some reason, such as the very poor wifi radio it has on you loose some of the limited functionality it does have.The app and controller on the 9650 has very limited functionality. All that it controls is a daily schedule, with in the daily schedule you can select start time and three run times :55 minutes which does water line, 1:50 and 2:50. Unfortunately the cycle timer can not be changed. This was also acknowledged by Polaris tech support. So consequently the 9650 would rarely climb up all the way to the top of the pool walls especially in the deep end of the pool.It did a horrible job climbing the stairs and when it did did extremely poor job of actually cleaning them. If I would have kept the unit I would have had to be out there every other day to sweep. Had I kept the 9560 my sweeping would increase by 1000X. So why would I need a cleaner.It also didn't do corners either so dirt accumulated in all corners.The perfect pool for these units would be a very small shallow pool with no step or obstructions. Not my pool at all !!!In comparison I have a 12 year old AquaJet robotic cleaner that only has two functions on the controller, I can set the cycle timer so it does get up all the way up all the walls and a run timer that runs the unit for over 2 hours. Also because of the design it actually climbs and cleans the stairs and platform and corners extremely well.It never advertised that it had Vortex 4 cleaning what ever that's suppose to be, but the cleaning it does is better than the Polaris 9*** series.Down side the of the AquaJet is it is no longer manufactured.But the Aquabot APRVJR Pool Rover Junior is almost the exact same unit as the AquaJet. Can't see the controller on the unit so not sure if they have the cycle timer setting on it. Cycle time is critical as that will determine whether the unit will go all the way up walls before it gets reversed. Oh yeah I failed to mention that my AquaJet cost $900 up to >$1500.For what you get with Polaris you can get a much better over all cleaner that actually climbs all way up your walls, cleans stairs and corners and can do all the other things claimed by Polaris that their 9*** will do with a "low end" cleaner and save yourself a good amount of money to enjoy on many other things.Also I am in the process of testing the P825 by Polaris. It doesn't offer anything that my 12 year old AquaJet doesn't already do. It looks more impressive but as far as functionality there is no difference between my 12 year old AquaJet and the P825. I bought this to replace the old version of the Intex vacuum. I especially liked the fact that it climbed the walls and didn't have the sectioned hoses the sprayed water everywhere like the old one.This has a larger compartment to store debris and is easier to remove and install. The handle also helps make it easier to maneuver. It scoots along the bottom and moves right up the side. Slick.Unfortunately, it gets stuck quite a bit. We have a large stairs that it always seems to hang on. It tries to climb them and just stops. It's annoying enough that I'm looking at getting the old version again. I don't like wasting money like this, but I also don't like being inconvenienced like this vacuum does.Sam

Bought this for a 33' round pool hoping to save a buck and cleaning time. First, if you do not have an Intex pool, you need to get some crazy fittings in order to adapt this properly to a standard inlet. All they had to do here was create a single part that adapts standard inlet threads to the Intex inlet. Had more than enough flow to make this work with a 2hp pump. Mostly, the device would crawl up a side and just hang out near the surface. It has brushes that rotate with the wheel assembly, but they rotate the same speed and direction as the wheels so don't actually brush anything. Once, when I got the device to appear as if it was working, going forward and backward in a random pattern, I let it run for about an hour when the pool was quite dirty then pulled it out to check the debris collection. There was less than a gram of particulate collected. Cleaned it up, repackaged it, and returned.T. H.

Coleman Power Steel 18×48 Above Ground Pool with sand pump filter. We check on it and talk to it like it’s a child. Nothing to dislike. Don’t foresee any issues. Keep it clean and the pool clear of items. It will do it’s job. It scooped up a small earring, leaves, and algae. Stops occasionally at the top of water line to use the soft brushes to clean the scum line. It’s completely nonexistent. Can’t say enough good things. It attaches easy and quickly. Starts clearing the debris and it’s quiet. The ease of cleaning the insides add to this high rating. Simple with only two locks versus the four on the others. We tried many times on an automatic pool vacuum. This puts others to shame. Quality, cost competitive, and WORTH IT! Recommend highly. The green is the fault is a new sand filter we haven’t mastered. Not this item.Update – be aware that the hose may become tangled with the machine found out (inadvertently) it floats to the surface when turned off. These are not flaws just things to know that we are learning. Adding, shipped faster than expected and came well packaged.Rob

I ordered a size that was supposed to cover my entire pool bottom, but it didn't. I called them about it and I was told to just keep it running and it would eventually get it all. It did not. It did not even last one season. This was my second Pool Rover. The first one was amazing, lasted for close to 10 years, and I loved it. When I called about this second one, they said they had made some improvements and it was a little different. It was A LOT different and quit working before the summer was even over.peaton861

Bought this unit because my above ground pool is just to the west of my neighbors hundred year old oak trees. The tallest was hit by lightning and the dead leaves were FILLING my pool. Small vacuum didn't cut it. Enter the Aquabot Jr, and problem is solved. One cleaning! I now use it every couple of days ad have a sparkling water pool. My only two draw backs is the filter is a little difficult to clean and occasionally the wire gets twisted. Overall, I LOVE IT!!!pondgoddess

This is our 2nd robotic cleaner for our above ground pool. The first one only lasted a few seasons, I don't recall the brand, yellow & green color…don't get one of those. It worked great, when it worked…the wheels were powered, & when it would get to a wall, the tires kept spinning, it would try to climb the walls, which would make it flip over onto its back and rendering it useless. Several sets of weights to add-on from the manufacturer later, it still sometimes had this problem. Then, it eventually died, the repair was going to cost as much as we paid for it new. We went back to the old-fashioned method (hand vacuum), we also broke out the old "aqua-critter", which works, but puts the junk it sucks up back into the main filter, then you are having to backwash and clean the filter. Then we found the "Jr" (gently used) on eBay, and couldn't be more delighted with the purchase. Now, Jr won't always get the really fine particles of dirt on the crevices, unless you run him 3 or 4 times in a row, but, that is OK, I can do a little hand vac now and then. He runs around the pool perfectly, every time, never winds up on his back. That is because he is propelled back and forth by a water jet on the top that changes his direction backward and forward, not spinning wheels. So, he NEVER tries to climb the wall, when he gets to the wall, he just waits patiently for the jets to reverse direction. Perfect. He is VERY light weight, which makes it that much easier to take out of the pool (the green and yellow one weighed a LOT). The wheels have 3 settings for steering, left, center or right. I have read reviews from people complaining that they have to remember to change these settings every time the use it. I don't understand what they are talking about. I just leave the robot set to steer to one side (can't remember if it is right or left, doesn't matter), the point is, you will never get him back into your pool in the exact same spot, so, it will never follow the exact same path anyway! The collection bag is very large, and pleated, so, there is a LOT of surface area for it to collect debris in. When we got this one (again, gently used), there was a small hole in the bag. It still worked great, picked up debris off the bottom of the pool like a champ. I contemplated buying a new bag, but, my wife was able to successfully sew the old one, no problem, the hole is fixed! I did see where others complain about the unit feeling a bit too "plastic" and "flimsy"…I guess with some people, if they don't have something to complain about, they have nothing to complain about! Yes, the machine is light-weight, but, it is plenty rugged enough…I don't think you want it too heavy, then it is hard to get out of the pool. I also read some complaints about it not getting "all" the debris. You have to understand, it is sucking stuff up the best it can…it might not get every fine grain of dirt, but it will get the grass, hair and balls of yuk on the bottom, and that is what really counts. You can either vac by hand or just have kids stir up the water when they play! All in all, if you want a robotic cleaner, one that uses its own filter bag to collect debris, then you want to get this little guy. You can spend a LOT more money, and yes, some of them WILL climb the sides to scrub right to the water line…however, that only seems feasible in an in-ground pool. This is my first purchase of a Pool vac. Ive had it for a few months. So far so good. Cord length I use this on a 30' above ground pool, power supply is about 5 ft away. The cords reach, just barely. Cleaning effectiveness: It vacumes the pool floor pretty well, sometimes it takes a second run to get everything. It floats on purpose: I was a little concerned when I saw it "float" repeatedly when I first ran it, but I came to realize it is popping up its front intentionally inorder to turn. I think this is what others have mentioned when they talk about it floating. You have to ignore it and let it do its thing. Filter: The filter that comes with it is good for small leaves, grass and bugs, but I'm glad I ordered the microfilter. It gets all the algae and sand sized dirt. Wishy Washy Warranty: The warranty is unclear. They want you to purchase it at a local pool supply authorizedvendor for full coverage, but I called around and the local version is about $150 more. I purchased the Walmart extended warranty for $50 to insure that all was covered. Hopefully I never have to test out the warranty. 4 Stars it does a good job of cleaning, but because it takes two runs to clean completley, there is a local supplier clause in the warranty, and I had to purchase the second filter, I dont feel that it warrants 5 stars. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. I can spend time swimming instead of vacuuming. I sometimes wish I would have gotten the model with remote control and auto timer, but that's a few hundred dollars more. Hopefully it lasts for many seasons.ME

I purchased this item last year on sale from Walmart.com at the end of the swim season. I began using it this spring. The cleaner does not climb walls , and that is fine, but instead of going at 90 degree angle and then backing off, it continues to move in the same direction. same spot , causing major tears in my vinyl liner in-ground pool. Have attempted to contact walmart vendor as well as the manufacturer(Maytronics) with no response. All I want is pool cleaner that won't damage my pool. Its under warranty , but no responses from vendor or Manufacturer. Help me Wal-Mart. Hold your vendors to a higher standard than this.Arkansas

The cleaner is a great vacuum, it has suction and easily picks up all the dirt and leaves in our pool. However, there are several issues that make this $600+ purchase a big regret.If you have a ladder as opposed to stairs, the cleaner will wrap itself around them repeatedly; strangling itself until there is no cord left (see photo). There is no way to untangle it from outside of the pool. I find that I have to get in and push the cord to the bottom of the pool, lift the ladder and free the vacuum. I tried putting gallon jugs filled with sand behind the stairs but the vacuum is so strong that it just pushes them out of the way or climbs right over them. Apparently I will now have to spend another $300 on new stairs that it can’t get behind.Another negative is that it is very heavy to lift out of the pool. When it is filled with water it is easily 25 pounds. It also has a power supply on it with a timer so in theory you could just leave the robot in the pool and have it automatically run every few days. The problem is that the power supply is only water resistant and if left out in the rain, water will destroy it. A replacement power supply is $250. So if you do not have a covered area near your pool you will need to build some type of housing to keep it out of the elements, or you can’t utilize this feature. Since I have nowhere to keep it dry I either lug the beast out of the pool when it is finished and find somewhere to store it or detach the power supply and take it inside, leaving the robot in the pool until I need to empty the basket. I have no idea if that’s bad for it or not but lifting it out is a pain especially for someone with a bad back.I really wish I had done more research before I bought it!UPDATE: The belt on one side also comes off at least once per cleaning cycle. I’ve used it less than a dozen times so it can’t be worn out. This is junk and I honestly hate it. I could have purchased 5 Aquabugs for this price. The last one I had lasted 5 years with no issues. Used for one summer. Very easy to setup and use. Takes about 2 hours to clean the 12'x25' pool. Does an 80/20 job. If you want a perfect cleaning, do it yourself.Biggest challenge so far is with the controller. The plastic pieces between the faceplate and the switches on the control board are loose. If the controller is moved too much then they fall out of place and the buttons stop working. I then have to open the controller up and reposition the plastic pieces to re-establish the connection between the faceplate and switches on the board.2nd challenge is with the shape of my pool. It is a fiberglass pool with integrated seating. I have to put buckets into two of the seats to prevent the cleaner from going into them. If I don't it climbs into the seats and can't get back out. It also can't handle the shape of the stairs so avoids them. Oddly shaped pool owners beware.A consideration is that you should not rest the cleaner on the scrubbing brushes. Therefore you'll need to figure a way to store it, supported only in the middle if you are not willing to shell out the cash for the carrying caddy.Summary – It's a pool cleaner. It does the job(ish). I'm sure I could have paid less and gotten the same level of performance and possibly without the challenges with the controller or getting stuck.Kailorbas

After 20+ years of cleaning the pool myself, I decided to spring for a robotic vacuum system. I researched all the different brands, and decided that the Dolphin brand was well respected and consistently got high reviews. I have a couple issues that kept me from giving a five star review. First, it's not great at climbing the walls. Sometimes when it goes up to the waterline, it will just lose its grip (suction?), and fall to the bottom of the pool. Also, it sometimes will lose suction while reversing directions, and will start to float up slightly. This causes it to miss debris at times. If I was going to purchase again, I would have bought the next model up. For that additional $125, I would have had a system that "remembers" the shape of my pool. The CC model has to relearn the shape every time it is used. Also, the debris filter/basket often gets "stuck" in the robot if there is sand in the pool. More than once, I have had to use the hose to spray out the robot before I am able to remove the basket. As the owner of an older Gunite pool, I find that the amount of sand that is in the pool to be higher than could be expected for a newer Gunite pool, or a liner or Fiberglas pool.Peter T.

I've had the cleaner for about a week. So far, it works great – just as advertised. Very well built. It's heavy especially when you pull it out of the water. It is definitely able to climb walls and steps. Strong suction. Even though the cleaner doesn't state that it cleans the water line, I've seen it climb above the waterline at points during the cleaning cycle. It was able to pick up small debri that my old cleaner (using a hose connected to the skimmer suction) could not pick up. I like the fact that I can clean the dual filters inside the cleaner and using a skimmer basket with a sock filter, I'm anticipating that I won't have to clean my pool pump cartridge filters as often. You can purchase ultra-fine filters to pick up sand and fine dust. I would recommend this cleaner.Weymann

Amazing. We have a beach entry and for 15 years every sweeper I tried would get beached and flip water out of the pool. Babysitting a pool sweep us MOT my idea of fun. The Nautilus CC Plus just backs up when the water gets too shallow. It’s awesome. And it cleans the water line tiles too. Highly recommend for anyone, but especially if you have a beach entry.Elizabeth

Overall the Dolphin Explorer E20 Robotic Pool Cleaner is good but have some challenges with an interior ledge in the fiberglass pool, great at cleaning the bottom of the pool, however misses some spots due to the curvature and ledge in the poolRaj L.

Works great! I have an 18 x 34 inground vinyl liner pool, love this robot! I have not had to use my regular vacuum at all! Such a time saver! Picks up anything in my pool so far, leaves, sticks, small gravel, coins, even silt and some of the red mud because I live in North Carolina and our dirt is red clay. Lol. Not knowing anything about pool cleaners I feel I did a good job comparing many models on line. I was very impressed with the features and comments about the Maytronics Dolphin E30. Our pool is 19×38 feet vinyl lined and I have never used a cleaner, so first time using a cleaner. My disappointment is an area of the pool is never cleaned. If the cleaner is placed mid length of the pool an area in the deep end is not cleaned. If I place the cleaner in the deep end an area in the shallow end is not cleaned. If I place the cleaner in the shallow end an area in the deep end is not cleaned. At the end of the 3 hour cycle there are always a few leaves left in the pool. I do not know if another brand is better I am just explaining my experience.Sherri

I've only had it a week, but it has successfully cleaned the bottom of our pool each time. I like the way it backs up to the wall and shoots water up the sides to dislodge anything that might be trying to hang on there. It may not completely climb the wall, but it does what it can to clean it all. No tangled cord yet, but then its only been a week.Rosalyn

Over the last 30+ years of owning and maintaining a in ground pool…… this is indeed the very best pool cleaning device I have ever owned. Certainly cost the most…. but, certainly, thus far, has given me the best results and personal pleasure having. The Dolphin Supreme WiFi Robotic is …… Superbly the best!-Superior Filter Trap and easy clean up. Can do in a 5 gallon Bucket with a hose! Will brush up the finest debris such as sand and algi scum and of course leaves and such.-Cycles are 2.5 hours and their are many to choose from! Works from you phone.-Actually scrubs the water line and walls! I now do very little brushing!So far….. very happy!Rob &. D.

My house backs to the woods before this purchase I would spend hours cleaning the pool each week. This pool cleaner is so effortless…I haven’t gotten the app to download on my phone yet but from what I see I don’t know how anyone could have a pool without one. I do have a kayak above ground pool with a vinyl liner, so far no issues or concerns. I am keeping the pool open a bit longer this year as I’m getting some back yard renovations done, this thing has even picked up a few small stones that found it’s way inside the pool. I can’t wait until we reopen the pool next season. I’ll actually get to spend more time relaxing in it versus the hours I wasted cleaning it!!! If I can get the app to download that will be my bonus. I’ll be able to program it from anywhere. This is the best gift a pool owner can have. I didn’t order the caddy but as soon as I find the one for this I will purchase as it is a bit heavy to carry back and forth. I have even used it in 50 degree weather and it worked fine without any issues.aleasea s.

After a lot of research, decided to buy this unit. Received it quickly and unpacked and put it to work. – fairly efficient once you get an internet connection for the APP (the internet connection is required) which is a small challenge as pool is 15 yards away from house and internet modem is on the far side of the house. The 3rd brush does a fairly good job of scrubbing. There is no mapping feature of the pool for the supreme (not very smart) it does sometimes takes 2 cycles (5 hrs)to get the whole pool clean. Watching it, it seems that it at times it appears confused and takes 15-30 seconds to continue on the next leg. Since 2006 have been using a Blue Diamond RC robot for pool cleaning which mapped the pool and only took 1 3 hour cycle to get it all. By the way it still works great but needs new brush's. Bought this as I am afraid to take the BD RC apart being 15 years of pool cleaning and chlorine though I am reconsidering after watching this one work. Did not help with no caddy being included at the price. So this robot is ok but…….Sherry

I have the Dolphin S50 it works great. I'm impressed with how much cleaner my 30 ft. Round above ground pool is. That robot even climbs the walls. It is very easy to clean the robot.Chuck Vander Horst

Highly recommend! We have a 20×40 pool with a deep end. It works great! Climbs walls with ease and comes with two different filter types. One is for larger debri (leaves) other is for small (dust, etc) GREAT price! $800 cheaper than what our pool installer wanted to sell it to us for. And yes, it was exactly the same thing!3284jeffrey

so far so good……ran it on "slow" for one cycle and the bottom cleaned up considerably. The pool is very curvilinear so as far as going up the sides, the unit works better on the concave curves, not as well on the convex….a traction issue probably. Still we'll satisfiedSteve307

You would assume that an "Intex branded" pool vacuum would fit an Intex above ground pool, but somewhere along the line Intex changed the fitting threads on the pool return fitting and they are NOT compatible. I had to return it as it was useless. Intex should have kept everything the same instead of changing only one side's threading without changing the fitting on the pool. Terrible business decision on Intex's part. If you bought an Intex pool after Jan 2021, this vacuum will NOT fit guaranteed. If the pool was purchased pre '21 you are just rolling the dice. INTEX should either sell the appropriate fitting for the pool individually, change the fitting back to the original on the vacuum, or recall all of these vacuums. I read several reviews before purchasing but foolishly assumed Intex would have fixed the problem in 2021.Anthony C.

This thing will zip across your pool for about ten minutes but never once did it pick up even the slightest bit of dibris from the pool. Not a leaf, not a bug, not a bit of anything. Then it just sits in one spot and does nothing. It was a complete waste of over a hundred dollars and just sits in the box now. one star because you can't leave a review without giving a rating. I have the right size pump, did all the troubleshooting, tried repeatedly and finally gave up.misty

Ships in two different packages, within a couple days of each other. Easy set up for both for the most part. The skimmer works great and the robot is amazing. There was a little confusion on what end to hook it up to but it definitely hooks up to the return and then it just takes off. We did have to make a slight adjustment to one of the hoses because it didn't fit completely right to our return but easy fix no big deal. I was a little skeptical when making the purchase but definitely worth it and for a great price too!Karen

We purchased this vacuum and was anxious to use it, the instructions are junk but we got it hooked up after watching a few videos on YouTube, and it won’t even work! We will be returning it, don’t waste your money!!MW

Works great!you have to have a pump connected to the aode of your pool and you connect it to the top of that with an adapter that comes with it.tansmommy

We bought this a few days ago because my pool was in need of a major cleaning!! I'm not sure why the other persons review was so bad, but it works great for me! I have to leave a review because theirs almost discouraged me from getting one!! Agreed that the instructions weren't the best, and that's why it didn't get 5 stars, but if you hook it up right it gets the job done! The only other thing I can complain about is if your pool is pretty dirty then you have to empty it out kinda often, but we got it on clearance for $60, so I really can't complain about it especially since it does all the cleaning for me!KellyAnn
