Hubby and I bought our roborock in Dec 2021 from Godfreys. She has been used every 2nd day (mopping and vacuming) for almost 5 months now with no issues other than general maintenance like wiping over her sensors. We DO NOT expect this machine to function as a full on vacume, but rather just to pick up the daily debris and leaves etc that our little dogs walk into the house and to be a quick mopping once over. We aren't overly messy people and don't have kids. Things we love: – She really cleans! – You can set up lines and walls in the app so she doesn't go near stairs etc (Though she does have the stairs function where she auto-senses that its a drop off and she will vacume along it but not fall off the edge- this is extremely anxiety inducing to witness lol) – The mopping and sweeping all happens from the same machine. Saves me having to run 2 and saves me having to vacume before i manually mop if i choose to though I haven't needed to at all yet because the robot does such a great job for me. (we have hardwood floors and no kids) -I love that she auto-docks herself and takes herself home when the battery gets low so that i don't have to bother doing it and that she can run while i'm not at home. – I like that she 'talks' and tells you whats wrong if something does go wrong. – She does a great job on carpets, we have her set to high suction on carpets and lower on the hardwood and she actually collects all the dust and debris rather than pushing it around like our vacume does on the hardwoods. – I love that you can schedule it for when you're home or not home – The app is pretty user friendly and the whole thing gets up and running in no time when you buy her new. – I LOVE that she is so tiny she can get under the oven and under the bed. I often forget to empty her and a spoken reminder when the machine runs next would be nice or for a bundle deal when buying both. -When she mops, if you have anything powdery on the floor she may leave streaks of her every pass all over your floors. But this isn't really some thing to worry excessively about, it only happened to us because hubby left jiprock residue on the floor and then she cleaned lol. – She will eat ALL cords. You have to be EXTREMELY careful with phone charging cords, power cords and especially headphones, cos she WILL suck them up and get stuck and probably break them (she ate my senheizer headphones lol) – She will try to eat your curtains if they're sheers and sit on the floor lol. -The black version which we have shows dust badly on the top of her, just needs a frequent wipe down. – The little bin that holds the rubbish is tiny and its tedious as heck to try and empty it out completely, the housing for the filter means you can't just remove the filter and tip out the rubbish, you need to stand there and manually prize it out of all the little nooks and crannies. Not overly annoying but i wish the whole end just opened and then it'd all slide out and into the bin with minimal handling too, the way it is now, you have to pinch the fluff and dust goes flying everywhere. Overall though, I really love the little thing and she's saving my back and my vacumes life. She's extremely handy and i'll definitely buy this brand again if/when we need to upgrade.Penegeau
The marketing materials indicate this robot can map multiple floors and then know which floor its on. This isn't strictly true. This only works if the robot is unable to see another floor when it maps. I have a house with split levels. The robot is able to see all the split levels because its lidar bounces from the walls so the floors are mapped. However, if you move the robot into one of the split levels, it is completely lost. It isn't an option to create another map for the split level because you can only create one map for the same area. When I contacted the company about this, they suggested using a ramp to get the robot in and out of the split level areas. Kludged to say the least plus one of my split levels is approximately 2 ft lower than the main floor and the robot is incapable of climbing a ramp at that angle. They advised that the R&D department might find a fix, but no guarantees or timeline. I am also disappointed with the running time which, in my experience, is no where near the 3 hours quoted. After trawling through other's experiences on Reddit, I discovered that keeping the mop and water tank attached causes too much drag on the carpet, meaning the robot's battery drains quickly. To clean just one floor of my house on one charge, I have to vacuum the carpets first, then attach the mop and water tank and clean the hard floors. Again, this is a very different experience to what I expected because the marketing materials indicate the robot can do it all in one cycle. The only reason that I've given this robot 3 stars is because it does clean well, but I paid more for this robot than competitor models because of the multi floor mapping and mop/vacuum 'in one go' options. I've been thinking about getting a robot hoover for a while now and I bought the Roborock finally! Super easy to set up – it needs to be placed in an area that has space on either side and in front of it to allow it to work effectively. Once the docking station is in place and the vacuum is on the dock it's as simple as downloading the dedicated app and following the instructions. It's simple and intuitive to set up and caused me no issues. Once you're all ready to go I suggest letting it fully charge before setting it to work. In order to get the best out of the vacuum let it do a few 'map runs' before starting cleaning. This basically means he moves about your house learning about your environment and creating a virtual map – he does this without cleaning so it's faster. After the mapping run my full downstairs was mapped out and ready to clean. A really good feature is that you can draw exclusions zones and also zones where you want extra cleaning such as a high traffic area – this has worked well for me as I excluded the area around my cat food bowls so the vacuum doesn't eat any wet cat food! If you're looking for a robot vacuum look no further – save the extra money for the Roborock and don't settle for a substandard product. I don't hoover my house anymore because this guy does it for me and does a far better job than I ever could!Michele

I have hardwood floors and I simply want roomba to do a quick daily run on the high traffic areas (kitchen, high traffic passage/hall, and entrance). The whole area is roughly 800 sqf. I have change the settings to custom do that it does 1 run per area so that it's "as quick as possible", yet it takes about 1 hour to do 280 sqf, and that's if it doesn't get stuck. Every single day it manages to get stuck in the most stupid way possible. On the rare days it decides to do the entire job it also finds a way to screw up. As you can see in the attached picture, one day it decided it needed to clean my neighbor's house. So it happens that NY neighbor has the same iRobot model and we think somehow they were trying to get together for a good night out. The dumbest part of all? Now that route is permanently part of my map and the only way to erase it is to start from scratch again…. I can't believe the software doesn't allow for manual modifications to correct the dumbest "smart" appliance ever created. Another incredible aspect of this useless piece of junk is that it's built to run with the lights on. The camera that's on top of it, does not see well in darkness so you absolutely have to run roomba during the day of with the lights on!! Another annoying thing about this is that every 1 or 2 months it simply decides that it won't do the daily run for no apparent reason, so every time I have to press the clean bottom for 20 seconds to remind it that I actually do not like dog hair on the floors. Ling story short, do not buy this model. Even if you win it on a raffle, don't hesitate to give it away!!!! The sad part is that when it runs, it actually does a decent job on the hardwood floors. The thing is that it takes too long and only finishes about 2% of the job required. Like I mentioned before, my neighbor has the same model and he is equally as dissatisfied with it as I'm!Ricardo
I have had this robot for a year and it has been the worst purchase I've mad. The robot is completely infuriating. So let's start with the price – at the given price point I should be doing maintenance on this this only when brushes or bags need to be changed. It needs weekly cleaning and troubleshooting. The regular vacuum I purchased following this purchase (due to continued requests to return, and constant emails because this robot, has literally worked less than 9 times this entire year on command) requires me to empty it once a month with once a week use. The app is flaky at best and the robot almost never responds to it. Even though my virtual assistants can get it to at least make noise. Not to mention it's loud – all the time. Loud when emptying the bin, loud when running and loud when docking. The bin never empty's as designed so I always have to manually do it, with new bags old ones or anything. I thought it may have been clogged but my new vacuum pulled nothing. Operation is so infuriating, I can't stand to use this item that was supposed the make my life easier! The mapping is awful, and if you try to fix it to help the robot, you'll spend hours to discover that the adjustment only last as long as the robot doesn't run again! When the battery gets low, it never goes back to the base and because the battery is dead I have to search and find it. My smart home is set to turn the lights on when it's scheduled to o run, to help it "see", and it still manages to not be able to find its way back. To make matters worse, the lights were set to go off when the robot redocks – luckily they still went off after an the robot died. I could go on and on about the sink hole of money you will spend on accessories, and the time you will waist troubleshooting nothing, but I would say – just don't waist your money, spend it on a Dyson or Bissell!Shay
This is our first foray into the world of Robot vacuums and must say I personally am blown away by it. We have owned it for the last one month or so. We chose the S9+ iRobot Roomba since based on my research, it is the best robotic vacuum at this time. So far it has fit this bill perfectly. The installation was very simple and my daughter did it since she was so super excited about it that she would not wait up for me. So by the time I got to it, she had already installed it and kept it ready to go. We put in the laundry room and it does not take much space. We started the mapping run on day one of installation. It took a good 5-6 hours and we had a bit of doubt as to what exactly it was doing. But apparently this robot learns and now we have a daily schedule that vacuums the most frequently areas which it finishes in an hour and 10-12 mins like clock work. We have tiles on the first floor with carpet in two rooms. The vacuum switches from tile to carpet mode effortlessly. The vacuum’s suction (S9+ has the highest suction in current range of iRobot vaccums) seems just right. I am amazed at how the vacuum navigates itself through the maze in your house. The careful drive feature does work and it does not bump into objects. Also it seems to clean in areas that our usual vacuum does not reach. Although my wife would occasionally sweeps the floor to bring dirt from under normally stationary objects like sofa etc, it is not needed everyday. For the daily quick clean, make sure though that there are no dangling wires that may get entangled in the vacuum or any clothes. The vacuum can get stuck if there are clothes lying around. We do “clean everywhere “ deep clean on the weekends and that job finishes in about 5 years. If I had to suggest improvements, I would say somehow if they can make it more quieter in future, it would be awesome. Also I know this is asking too much, but if it can do stairs and go on second floor too. 🙂 Little bit regarding the Mop. We were debating whether we should buy the Vacuum and Mop combo but decided to go for it since Bestbuy was giving a nice discount on the combo during the Black Friday sale. The mop does a decent job, is very quiet and even tells you if you forget to fill the cleaning fluid. It takes a long time though so if anything, that is what I would ask for improvement. But this isn't really some thing to worry excessively about, it only happened to us because hubby left jiprock residue on the floor and then she cleaned lol. – She will eat ALL cords. You have to be EXTREMELY careful with phone charging cords, power cords and especially headphones, cos she WILL suck them up and get stuck and probably break them (she ate my senheizer headphones lol) – She will try to eat your curtains if they're sheers and sit on the floor lol. -The black version which we have shows dust badly on the top of her, just needs a frequent wipe down. – The little bin that holds the rubbish is tiny and its tedious as heck to try and empty it out completely, the housing for the filter means you can't just remove the filter and tip out the rubbish, you need to stand there and manually prize it out of all the little nooks and crannies. Not overly annoying but i wish the whole end just opened and then it'd all slide out and into the bin with minimal handling too, the way it is now, you have to pinch the fluff and dust goes flying everywhere. Overall though, I really love the little thing and she's saving my back and my vacumes life. She's extremely handy and i'll definitely buy this brand again if/when we need to upgrade.Penegeau
The marketing materials indicate this robot can map multiple floors and then know which floor its on. This isn't strictly true. This only works if the robot is unable to see another floor when it maps. I have a house with split levels. The robot is able to see all the split levels because its lidar bounces from the walls so the floors are mapped. However, if you move the robot into one of the split levels, it is completely lost. It isn't an option to create another map for the split level because you can only create one map for the same area. When I contacted the company about this, they suggested using a ramp to get the robot in and out of the split level areas. Kludged to say the least plus one of my split levels is approximately 2 ft lower than the main floor and the robot is incapable of climbing a ramp at that angle. They advised that the R&D department might find a fix, but no guarantees or timeline. I am also disappointed with the running time which, in my experience, is no where near the 3 hours quoted. After trawling through other's experiences on Reddit, I discovered that keeping the mop and water tank attached causes too much drag on the carpet, meaning the robot's battery drains quickly. To clean just one floor of my house on one charge, I have to vacuum the carpets first, then attach the mop and water tank and clean the hard floors. Again, this is a very different experience to what I expected because the marketing materials indicate the robot can do it all in one cycle. The only reason that I've given this robot 3 stars is because it does clean well, but I paid more for this robot than competitor models because of the multi floor mapping and mop/vacuum 'in one go' options. I've been thinking about getting a robot hoover for a while now and I bought the Roborock finally! Super easy to set up – it needs to be placed in an area that has space on either side and in front of it to allow it to work effectively. Once the docking station is in place and the vacuum is on the dock it's as simple as downloading the dedicated app and following the instructions. It's simple and intuitive to set up and caused me no issues. Once you're all ready to go I suggest letting it fully charge before setting it to work. In order to get the best out of the vacuum let it do a few 'map runs' before starting cleaning. This basically means he moves about your house learning about your environment and creating a virtual map – he does this without cleaning so it's faster. After the mapping run my full downstairs was mapped out and ready to clean. A really good feature is that you can draw exclusions zones and also zones where you want extra cleaning such as a high traffic area – this has worked well for me as I excluded the area around my cat food bowls so the vacuum doesn't eat any wet cat food! If you're looking for a robot vacuum look no further – save the extra money for the Roborock and don't settle for a substandard product. I don't hoover my house anymore because this guy does it for me and does a far better job than I ever could!Michele

This is not a Wi-Fi enabled smart device, and works directly with a pre-programmed remote control. Which in these days of the Internet of things I'm OK with. I learned of this vacuum from reading a Consumer Reports article where it was listed as having the best features for the price. I find this little robo vacuum to be perfect for my application, which is roughly 1100 square foot condominium with hardwood and tile floors, and also furniture that it can pass under. The article indicated that this vaccuums patterns can appear very random, which I would agree. Many times I find it going over the same spot numerous times. But it is true that it will eventually cover about 80-90% of the room that it is cleaning. With some exceptions. There are times I have to manually direct it to areas missed. But for the price, I find it to be an excellent robo Vacuum that saves me the hassle of doing it myself. Also the edging feature is quite productive. The vacuum is able to follow along all of the walls, cabinets etc of a room and make fairly tight turns around corners and obstacles. I would not recommend this vacuum however if you have carpeting or even thick piled floor rugs. It does not have a roller rather it has some spinning sweepers on the corners that direct dirt into its suction port. Those types of applications I assume would be reserved for the higher end robo vacuums. Ultimately I think I'm hooked on never having to push a vacuum again and when this thing burns out I will happily replace it with a more advanced model.
I like this little guy and I like that it’s not a smart product but I didn’t expect it to actually be so dumb. It isn’t connected to Alexa and I liked that about it but it doesn’t go in a straight line half the time and it can’t seem to find its way back to the docking station. It does drive me crazy that it’s not mappable and it will clean the same area over and over and over but miss a whole section and then run out of juice and have to go take a nap and recharge. But it does do great on the edges and it does go under things because it’s slim – traditional bots probably can’t get under some of the things this one does and I like that it comes in white. It’s very easy to clean it’s just kind of annoying because I sometimes find myself sweeping to it or following it around with a remote control to make it go a certain way. However my husband loves it and has stop shutting all the doors to every single bedroom because now he doesn’t care of the cats hide under the bed during a thunderstorm because this thing goes in and out underneath the bed and does a really great job. The suction power is awesome and it does pick up cat fur and litter and everything. It’s a really good vacuum I just wish I could get it to do a better job just in one room but that’s my fault because I have an open house. I don’t have doors to keep it in one room at a time – that would help the problem but The layout of my house is not like that. So anyway it’s a pretty good purchase for the price and my suggestion would be to use the honey app because I added it to the wish list and two days after I bought it the price went down $40 and then six days after that I got another honey alert that my drop listed item had a new price and it was $60 cheaper so I would say add it to your wish list on honey first and wait to get that email alert and then buy it and you should save some money. I would suggest getting the warranty just in case it runs into the cat water bowl. Hope this helps somebody! I purchased this model from Amazon and I love it! It is very easy to use and does a great job. I got it mostly to keep my litter problem controlled since my cats track it everywhere and it's kept my floors clean since I got it. Occasionally it is a little random in it's movements when set to auto and it will miss a section from time to time. I also have to clean the brushes pretty often because hair gets tangled quickly but I still give it 5 stars. It is very quiet and it's truly only as loud as a microwave. After a while one of the side brushes started squeaking and I looked for troubleshooting tips on the website and none of them worked, even a replacement motor, so I contacted support. They were prompt and very helpful. Once we figured out it was an internal issue they sent me a replacement. They kept in touch to make sure the new one was received and working well and still assisted me when I had follow up questions. I would 100% recommend getting a Eufy.

I had high hopes for the roomba I7 and the braava jet by iRobot, but about 7 months into my roomba ownership it is not the hassle free experience it's made out to be. My I7 worked great for about a month and a half, but since then it's been plagued by numerous issues, glitches, and vastly reduced battery life. I've called support 4 times fo report issues, and generally, troubleshooting fixes my issues for a week or so at a time before another issue arises. I'm lucky if I get 45 min average battery life on my I7 now, but when I called support, I was advised that "it's normal"…after only owning it for 7 months. Nevermind that it takes 3 hours to return to a full charge after only running for 45 minutes. The braava is a completely separate issue. Between the tracks and the film on my floors, it doesn't get used much. However, I bought a water softener and filtration system, and the film is a lot less than it used to be, but if you don't have soft water, the film can be rather unsightly. While I was expecting that cleaning my house would to be easier when I bought my roomba and braava, instead I find I spend as much time changing pads, replacing filters, and swapping out brushes; emptying bins or filling tanks; cleaning off sensors and troubleshooting issues; and getting frustrated that my roomba can't actually clean as on demand as it's made out to be. My roomba randomly gets lost and can't find the home base causing me to track it down in the most unlikely of places; gets drunk and randomly falls of the ramp onto the home base; or worse yet just runs out of battery in the middle of a job and stops in the middle of the floor. My advice to someone thinking about buying: don't own a dog, don't have kids, and don't live an active lifestyle. Why you might ask…..because the roomba and braava will not help you save time cleaning up after any of them consistently.Frustrated
I've tried quite a few robot vacuums and I think that roomba's Have the biggest name because they 1st move or advantage but they are not the best vacuum out there Let's start with navigation.. The robot does a decent job of creating a map of your house but even with that map it still runs into things all of the time, and, it does not navigate efficiently from room to room or within a room when cleaning. It will ignore keep out zones sometimes. It will try to force itself underneath things that it cannot fit and then get stuck.. There needs to be some kind of sensor on the nub in the front so that when it starts running into things with that it knows to stop trying because it will force itself under something and get stuck and that novel not let it escape. Vacuuming: Though iRobot boasts About the section power, the robot does not pick up a lot of debris. The period the vacuum turns off and on randomly and it misses a lot of stuff. Especially on carpet it will clump up pet hair and then leave it in clumps all over the carpet instead of sucking it up.. I have to follow behind it with a hand held vacuum and suck up all of the clumps that it leaves. If it runs over an area rug it'll actually leave clumps that weren't there before that it picked up elsewhere in the house. Smart app and other complaints: Comparable vacuums out on the market will allow you to keep track of the robot's location live while it's cleaning via the map. iRobot does not allow that. The roomba will get stuck In random places.. And will just sit there until the battery dies sometimes making it difficult to find. Half of the time the app cannot connect to the robot and the robot has to be restarted. Half the time the robot will not seat itself on its base correctly and will not charge.. If using the Bravo jet mop, To mop after vacuuming Is, a lot of the time it will not start the mop automatically and the mop may not even do a full run before it just decides it's done and quits.
Great product, mapping is the best I have seen, suction is good but I would recommend to vacuum every 3 days as the manufacturer says. The time saving is the most precious asset of this type of machine as you can do something else while the robot does the job for you. Easy to clean and filter are replaceable. However, sometimes it leaves some minor debris (just a few) and the corners are not it best but these are minor things. Customer service it awesome, my robot stopped working properly, sent it to the repair center and got a new one. It important to mention that you should remove small items from the floor like lego bricks and also clothing before activating the robot, otherwise it will get stuck. Again, the best asset of this product is the time saving, at the beginning I was not sure expending so much money but after these years is totally worth it. I decided to go for this brand and specific model and not for a some other brand cheaper to avoid the frustration of a bad job and end up vacuuming the floor with a normal vacuumFerLin

Let me tell you how great this little guy (or girl) is. In the year 2018, I decided to get my self a furry companion. I wont bore with the details on how I named her but her name is Rona. Little did I know, Rona was going to be the dog equivalent of a hurricane except instead of rain and wind, shes a fur and farts. Also, little did I know, there was going to be a world pandemic 2 years later that would take her nickname "Rona season" to a whole new level. But let me tell you, my dog dogs fur could go toe-to-toe with covid on who spreads faster. At this point I may have lost you, but every great story has a detailed set up. With our move into a new home that is immensely larger than our previous studio in the city, we knew we could not keep up with cleaning. In comes Victor, our new iRobot i7 vacuum. After a short issue connecting to our wifi (my fault, not victors), we got this little guy (possibly girl) up and rolling. With in a day, victor new our new floor plan faster than I could mow the front lawn (its really small #colorado). Speaking of colorado, victor has no issue with high altitude contrary to unpopular belief. All in all, victor has saved us from the pain of vacuuming. I set victor up to run in the morning and evening and he (could be a she) is looking skinnier than even. I find my self watching victor vacuum like my old neighbor used to watch me vacuum. Except he was outside looking in. Highly recommend the purchase. You wont regret it.Kyle
I have had the Roomba i7+ for about 2 years now. I desperately wanted to love this – to the point of disillusion. But, overall, I am disappointed and feel like I wasted $700. It will pick up dog hair and most debris off of our faux-wood laminate floors. If your house is primarily laminate, this will probably be an acceptable option. On tile (ours is pretty slick porcelain), it leaves quite a bit of debris behind, but sufficiently gets up the dog hair. On area rugs, it only picks up about a third of the dog hair and debris that my traditional vacuum gets. Also, it leaves behind numerous sporadic globs of dog hair that I have to go around picking up. We have a small house. I only use the Roomba for the master and main living areas (roughly 1000 sq ft). Still, it has to stop halfway through to re-charge. This means, the vacuum is running on and off for several hours. Most recent run took 1hr 39min run time with an 1hr 5 min charge time part way through. Forget watching TV or having a conversation with your family. I like that it gets to places like under the king size bed and other furniture much easier than a traditional vacuum. I also like that if I need the floor to simply be cleaner than it currently is, it gets some dirt up. Looking at the run history, I have only used the Roomba about once per month… that averages out to $30 per use…eek. My traditional Shark vacuum that claims to never lose suction… well, has yet to lose suction after 5 years! It is my primary tool for cleaning all of the floors in my house. Overall, this was a waste of money that perhaps would've been better spent on a high-quality cordless stick vacuum. Or maybe, a good replacement for the traditional high-powered corded vacuum just doesn't exist yet.
Great vacuuming assistant – 4.5 stars in our opinion. Have had it now 4 months. Background: mostly one level house with laminate and tile floors, couple of throw rugs. Dining room has table with 6 chairs. Kitchen counter has 3 pedestal stools. When we down sized to this house kept minimal furniture. One border Collie. Roughly 2500 sq ft that we want robot to maintain (excludes stairs and room over garage). Here's our experience: to best use the robot, let it map your house. Then divide house into rooms. Rather than let the robot clean the entire house , clean by specific jobs that include 3-4 rooms so the robot can complete it without having to stop and recharge. To get the best clean in the quickest time, move portable items into rooms not on the cleaning job list. For example, we move the six dining room chairs to the sunroom. This cuts the cleaning time by about 1/3 as the robot can vacuum straight lines, rather than try to work its way around multiple chair legs. It also ensures that the robot can get under the table completely. We do a similar thing with the sunroom's high top stools. For the pedestal stools in kitchen, we pull them out so the robot can make a pass without trouble under the counter. The robot will climb the smooth base to clean them. For us with the dog, a bag fills in about a month. The robot can't get onto the fireplace hearth or go over the triple sliding glass door track that leads to the sunroom. Nor will it do behind open doors that are flush to walls. So you still need a broom or handheld wand. Buy on sale!2oldtohear

We purchased this Roomba, after owning one from another brand and becoming frustrated. We were tired of it missing spots constantly, getting stuck, and only cleaning one spot until the battery died. We decided to spend the extra money as Roomba is the "Gold Standard". When we got the robot, it took about 3.5 hours to map our house, and when looking at the map it seemed fairly accurate. Now, every time we send it out to clean a certain room, it usually ends up lost on its way to the room, or on its way back home. It is constantly getting stuck under the table and chairs, and getting stuck on the ledge of the sliding door. The solution to this is to spend MORE money on a virtual wall? For the price point of this product, this is all unacceptable. Don't get me wrong, when I follow it around and move every chair and table out of its way, the thing does a great job. Good suction and doesn't leave much behind. But for all that effort, I could just use a traditional vacuum. So, for the price, I cannot say I am impressed. Nor would I recommend the product. I will most likely be returning mine if possible.
Had mine for a couple of years now. Not as pleased as I would have hoped. It does seem to effectively clean the areas covered. However, the "intelligence" of the unit is GREATLY overstated. It constantly gets stuck on the rails of my patio slider doors and can't seem to figure out that maybe it should avoid these. Supports suggestion was to PURCHASE the area avoidance sensors. It sends me a message (on my iPhone) that it's stuck but I get NO audible notification, so unless I am actually looking at my phone I don't know it's stuck. All notifications for the app are enabled on my iPhone. Support said this was a problem with my iPhone yet I get notifications from all other apps. It's mapping is not reliable as I can sit and watch it go over the exact same spot 5 or 6 times. i.e. it will do the spot in front of our couch, then move to the kitchen, then come right back to the couch and go over the same spot again. We have it set to clean approximately 1500 Sqft and it takes 4-5 hours to complete. Much noisier than I expected. Lately it is providing an error that claims "The Robot Base Needs Your Attention" but does NOT identify specifically what is the problem (seems to evacuate OK, bag is NOT full). Submitted issue to support and they sent out a new base, but it does the same thing. Have followed cleaning instructions for sensors in the base and the robot but nothing seems to address this issue. While it IS nice to NOT have to manually vacuum, the fact that it takes 5 hours is a disappointment. I can pull out the manual vac and do the job in about 30 minutes. It says it's MAPPING but does not really seem to know where it is at. It just seems to roam randomly around the house until it bumps into things. I expected more.
This Roomba is a complete waste of money. It cleans just okay. My old, cheaper Roomba 655 used to have a completely FULL bin after vacuuming. This new and supposedly improved model barely has anything in the bin when it finishes cleaning the same space. Speaking of the bin, it is the ABSOLUTE WORST part of this Roomba. We purchased this Roomba, after owning one from another brand and becoming frustrated. We were tired of it missing spots constantly, getting stuck, and only cleaning one spot until the battery died. We decided to spend the extra money as Roomba is the "Gold Standard". When we got the robot, it took about 3.5 hours to map our house, and when looking at the map it seemed fairly accurate. Now, every time we send it out to clean a certain room, it usually ends up lost on its way to the room, or on its way back home. It is constantly getting stuck under the table and chairs, and getting stuck on the ledge of the sliding door. The solution to this is to spend MORE money on a virtual wall? For the price point of this product, this is all unacceptable. Don't get me wrong, when I follow it around and move every chair and table out of its way, the thing does a great job. Good suction and doesn't leave much behind. But for all that effort, I could just use a traditional vacuum. So, for the price, I cannot say I am impressed. Nor would I recommend the product. I will most likely be returning mine if possible.
Had mine for a couple of years now. Not as pleased as I would have hoped. It does seem to effectively clean the areas covered. However, the "intelligence" of the unit is GREATLY overstated. It constantly gets stuck on the rails of my patio slider doors and can't seem to figure out that maybe it should avoid these. Supports suggestion was to PURCHASE the area avoidance sensors. It sends me a message (on my iPhone) that it's stuck but I get NO audible notification, so unless I am actually looking at my phone I don't know it's stuck. All notifications for the app are enabled on my iPhone. Support said this was a problem with my iPhone yet I get notifications from all other apps. It's mapping is not reliable as I can sit and watch it go over the exact same spot 5 or 6 times. i.e. it will do the spot in front of our couch, then move to the kitchen, then come right back to the couch and go over the same spot again. We have it set to clean approximately 1500 Sqft and it takes 4-5 hours to complete. Much noisier than I expected. Lately it is providing an error that claims "The Robot Base Needs Your Attention" but does NOT identify specifically what is the problem (seems to evacuate OK, bag is NOT full). Submitted issue to support and they sent out a new base, but it does the same thing. Have followed cleaning instructions for sensors in the base and the robot but nothing seems to address this issue. While it IS nice to NOT have to manually vacuum, the fact that it takes 5 hours is a disappointment. I can pull out the manual vac and do the job in about 30 minutes. It says it's MAPPING but does not really seem to know where it is at. It just seems to roam randomly around the house until it bumps into things. I expected more.

This new and supposedly improved model barely has anything in the bin when it finishes cleaning the same space. Speaking of the bin, it is the ABSOLUTE WORST part of this Roomba. I got this vacuum about 3 weeks ago. It has made my life so much easier. I love the way it vacuums, the app is pretty easy to use. The mop does an ok job of course it doesn't mop perfect but it mops as expected. I love the Self-Emptying feature and the filter is easy to clean, just run under water and let airdry. Yeedi vaccum worked great for the first few months. As the one year warranty was reaching its end I noticed the vacuum would not be able to dock on the vac station properly to charge. Sent pictures to the company asked them for advice on how to fix it, or a replacement. No response. I continue sending them messages and they have said nothing. Do not buy this vacuum the customer service and support for any issues is horrible.Shawn

I have hardwood floors and I simply want roomba to do a quick daily run on the high traffic areas (kitchen, high traffic passage/hall, and entrance). The whole area is roughly 800 sqf. I have change the settings to custom do that it does 1 run per area so that it's "as quick as possible", yet it takes about 1 hour to do 280 sqf, and that's if it doesn't get stuck. Every single day it manages to get stuck in the most stupid way possible. On the rare days it decides to do the entire job it also finds a way to screw up. As you can see in the attached picture, one day it decided it needed to clean my neighbor's house. So it happens that NY neighbor has the same iRobot model and we think somehow they were trying to get together for a good night out. The dumbest part of all? Now that route is permanently part of my map and the only way to erase it is to start from scratch again…. I can't believe the software doesn't allow for manual modifications to correct the dumbest "smart" appliance ever created. Another incredible aspect of this useless piece of junk is that it's built to run with the lights on. The camera that's on top of it, does not see well in darkness so you absolutely have to run roomba during the day of with the lights on!! Another annoying thing about this is that every 1 or 2 months it simply decides that it won't do the daily run for no apparent reason, so every time I have to press the clean bottom for 20 seconds to remind it that I actually do not like dog hair on the floors. Ling story short, do not buy this model. Even if you win it on a raffle, don't hesitate to give it away!!!! The sad part is that when it runs, it actually does a decent job on the hardwood floors. The thing is that it takes too long and only finishes about 2% of the job required. Like I mentioned before, my neighbor has the same model and he is equally as dissatisfied with it as I'm!Ricardo
I have had this robot for a year and it has been the worst purchase I've mad. The robot is completely infuriating. So let's start with the price – at the given price point I should be doing maintenance on this this only when brushes or bags need to be changed. It needs weekly cleaning and troubleshooting. The regular vacuum I purchased following this purchase (due to continued requests to return, and constant emails because this robot, has literally worked less than 9 times this entire year on command) requires me to empty it once a month with once a week use. The app is flaky at best and the robot almost never responds to it. Even though my virtual assistants can get it to at least make noise. Not to mention it's loud – all the time. Loud when emptying the bin, loud when running and loud when docking. The bin never empty's as designed so I always have to manually do it, with new bags old ones or anything. I thought it may have been clogged but my new vacuum pulled nothing. Operation is so infuriating, I can't stand to use this item that was supposed the make my life easier! The mapping is awful, and if you try to fix it to help the robot, you'll spend hours to discover that the adjustment only last as long as the robot doesn't run again! When the battery gets low, it never goes back to the base and because the battery is dead I have to search and find it. My smart home is set to turn the lights on when it's scheduled to o run, to help it "see", and it still manages to not be able to find its way back. To make matters worse, the lights were set to go off when the robot redocks – luckily they still went off after an the robot died. I could go on and on about the sink hole of money you will spend on accessories, and the time you will waist troubleshooting nothing, but I would say – just don't waist your money, spend it on a Dyson or Bissell!Shay
This is our first foray into the world of Robot vacuums and must say I personally am blown away by it. We have owned it for the last one month or so. We chose the S9+ iRobot Roomba since based on my research, it is the best robotic vacuum at this time. So far it has fit this bill perfectly. The installation was very simple and my daughter did it since she was so super excited about it that she would not wait up for me. So by the time I got to it, she had already installed it and kept it ready to go. We put in the laundry room and it does not take much space. We started the mapping run on day one of installation. It took a good 5-6 hours and we had a bit of doubt as to what exactly it was doing. But apparently this robot learns and now we have a daily schedule that vacuums the most frequently areas which it finishes in an hour and 10-12 mins like clock work. We have tiles on the first floor with carpet in two rooms. The vacuum switches from tile to carpet mode effortlessly. The vacuum’s suction (S9+ has the highest suction in current range of iRobot vaccums) seems just right. I am amazed at how the vacuum navigates itself through the maze in your house. The careful drive feature does work and it does not bump into objects. Also it seems to clean in areas that our usual vacuum does not reach. Although my wife would occasionally sweeps the floor to bring dirt from under normally stationary objects like sofa etc, it is not needed everyday. For the daily quick clean, make sure though that there are no dangling wires that may get entangled in the vacuum or any clothes. The vacuum can get stuck if there are clothes lying around. We do “clean everywhere “ deep clean on the weekends and that job finishes in about 5 years. If I had to suggest improvements, I would say somehow if they can make it more quieter in future, it would be awesome. Also I know this is asking too much, but if it can do stairs and go on second floor too. 🙂 Little bit regarding the Mop. We were debating whether we should buy the Vacuum and Mop combo but decided to go for it since Bestbuy was giving a nice discount on the combo during the Black Friday sale. The mop does a decent job, is very quiet and even tells you if you forget to fill the cleaning fluid. It takes a long time though so if anything, that is what I would ask for improvement. I had a first generation Roomba several years ago and was always amazed at the amount of dirt and hair it picked up. With several pets in the house, hair is always an issue. I run it every morning while I am eating breakfast/reading emails. It gets around the whole house and finds its way home when the battery gets low. I have thin Ruggable carpets that it goes over easily and thoroughly. It notifiies me on my phone when it is in trouble. Buddy is our very first household iRobot Roomba. We purchased this unit from Sam's Club back in December 2018 and at that time, the latest model was the i7. We decided on this model, because we didn't need additional features like the floor mapping and the auto emptying bin. We liked that this was wifi-capable and that it worked with our Google Home smart devices. We have been diligent in keeping Buddy clean after every use. He is scheduled to vacuum and clean the floor every other day. A Couple of Cons: 1. Sometimes he gets lost and can't find his home base, but that's because his home base was located where there were a lot of obstacles in the way. So we moved his charging home base to a better location and he hasn't had any problems finding it when his battery is low. 2. Buddy sometimes misses spots, but it's not a deal-breaker. Nothing that a second-run can't fix. 3. He has no problems cleaning rugs and carpets, but he truly hates our plush, fluffy rug (lol – there is another term for this rug, but the iRobot site flagged the term… good grief). So, we got rid of that rug. Problem solved. It is only this year that we decided to get the latest model – the s9 and m6 bundle. We are so impressed with Buddy that we did not hesitate to invest in other iRobot models for the house.Nicole
This is our first robot vacuum, and it was purchased to replace an old upright. We keep a pretty clean house, but some dirt and hair is shed daily. The allure of this product was daily cleaning without anyone needing to take the time to manage the vacuuming. A few things to appreciate: our relatively small home is covered by the vacuum which works its way around or under our furniture with relative ease in about 45 minutes, the app is intuitive, and the wireless connection allows setting up a cleaning job away from home and monitoring progress if you feel the need for such things. If you only have non-carpeted spaces and no pets, this is likely a good vacuum for your needs. Unfortunately, overall this robot vacuum doesn't work as advertised. We have an Australian Shepherd whose dog fur is picked up, wrapped up with other pieces of fur and then deposited in clumps on all carpeted surfaces (except for the pieces that are wrapped around the dual rubber brushes). This means we have to walk around after the job finishes to clean up clumps of knotted dog hair. This is my first robovac and so far I am very pleased! Set up took some time but very simple. The eufy was entertaining to watch as it has a mind of its own and I couldn’t stop watching it clean!!! It did take a lot of time cleaning (maybe my house is just dirty) but as you can see in the picture it got all that dirt and cat hair up!!! I’m going to try the mopping function today. Don’t forget to use the little tools it comes with as they are very helpful to remove the hair from the brush! make sure you empty the dust pan after every use because it definitely fills up. Another feature I like is that I was able to share the device on the app with my boyfriend so he can also use it when he’s home or not home. Very easy to use app with scheduling and control of suction power – I did higher suction for carpet areas. Only con is when the battery got low, eufy couldn’t find its home base independently their first time so I helped lol!! Easy to clean after use too! I’d definitely recommend this product!
This little Eufy is a powerhouse on pet hair. My long haired dogs never stop dropping hair and we all know cats are the absolute worst. It does such a good job getting them up. I empty it once or twice during a cleaning but that's a small, small thing compared to vacuuming every day with my heavy Dyson. App is great, emptying is simple, the Anker brand is making a good name for itself. I'm going for whole house upright vacuuming 1-2 times a week, and this guy (whom I've affectionately named Tubby) will run daily. I love it. I think you will too.

I'm very happy with the EufyHome G30 Edge. This is our 2nd robot vacuum, the first being a Shark Ion. Compared to the Shark, this robovac is so much quieter. The Shark Ion was very loud, to the point where it gets annoying having it run for 90 minutes. The Eufy G30 is not at all like this, and can be running while watching TV, etc. When it goes under the bed/sofa, sometimes I can't even hear it and wonder if it's still running… it is. The slim profile is a welcome feature compared to the Shark Ion. It easily fits under the bed, the sofa, chairs, etc. As long as there is about 2 inches of clearance, it should find its way. It also has Smart Navigation 2.0, which allows it to map your floor plan and work its way in horizontal rows until it has fully mapped the entire floor plan, compared to the Shark Ion or other robovacs that use random navigation with bumper sensors. The Eufy G30 has bumper sensors, and if it bumps into an object it will turn, but only to the point where it can find its way back onto its horizontal path. It also has infrared sensors, and will generally avoid bumping into things at all. Rather, it will slow down as it approaches something, and work its way right to the edge of the object, and then turn. The bumper sensors are a 2nd line of defense in the case that the infrared sensors don't work (e.g. on dark items, which absorb infrared). We have white baseboards, which is does not bump into, but on a few dark-colored cabinets, it will bump into those before turning around. As for the room mapping, it does not "remember" the map from day to day. Each time it is a new map. It will remember the map until it has completed the map. In other words, if it runs out of battery before completing the map, it will return to home, recharge, and then restart itself, picking up where it left off (generally). I say generally, because SOMETIMES the map can get "off". It doesn't navigate via GPS or WiFi or anything like that. It seems to retain the map in its head and base its location on wheel movement. So if it gets stuck on something, the wheels may continue to spin even though it's not going anywhere, and then suddenly it thinks it's 3 feet from where it really is. This isn't common, but it can happen. You can see this using the map feature in the app (which is really cool). You'll see it struggle trying to get to where it thinks should be an open space, when really it might be next to a wall and it keeps turning and bumping, turning and bumping, trying to find a way around. Eventually it does, but the map at that point is all messed up. It's better to just pause it, pick it up, put it close to where it "thinks" it really is (putting it where the white dot is on the map) and then restarting it. Its alerts are generally all spoken out loud in English (or in your preferred language, if available) which is nice, compared to the Shark Ion, which just beeped and had flashing icons, so you constantly had to refer back to the manual to understand what they meant. The Eufy G30 says "resuming cleaning" or "I'm stuck" or whatever, and you can just go and do the needful. The app also mirrors the status at any given moment, and you can control it with the app, monitor the map (which is helpful to understand the most efficient cleaning pattern), set up schedules, etc. You can also control it with Alexa, which was very easy to set up. So one week in, I am amazed by the amount of stuff that it picks up, even after running it every day. Makes you wonder where all the dust comes from. A really nice product from Anker's Eufy brand. I have a number of Anker's audio products, power packs, and cables, and I've always been happy with the value, quality and support. So far, the Eufy G30 Edge seems to fit right in.
I've wanted a robo vac for several years now, so I researched them and decided on this eufy G30 Edge, based on the reviews and price. Shipping was fast and I quickly put it to work. Set up was easy and I turned "her" loose. I was absolutely shocked at how much dirt this little vacuum picks up! (especially since I have a very good upright vacuum that I use frequently). This little vacuum has a spinning brush on the edge that help gets the dust and dirt that collects along the baseboards. I have low-pile carpet and laminate flooring, plus throw rugs and this little vac navigates it all with ease. It has a low profile and fits under most dressers, consoles, beds with ease. It's only gotten stuck once because it got caught on some heavy duty speaker cable. The schedule program function works well and the vacuum starts as scheduled when I use it. I clean the dirt tray every time I run it and brush out the hepa filter. It's easy to remove and clean. It has gotten turned around a couple of times when returning to it's recharging station, but I have an odd layout to my house, so I'm not too concerned about it; it gets home almost every time. It has a very long run time before it has to recharge. I am so glad I bought this and wish I had done it sooner!
First the pros: We have roughly 1600sq ft downstairs of which this vacuum was able to identify 1200sq ft and clean it accurately before the battery ran out. The mapping feature is GREAT and I was very impressed with how well the G30 navigated all of our furniture and what I thought were impassible spaces. I thought for sure the vacuum wouldn't navigate between kitchen chairs and under the very tight spaces of our couches and ottoman, but it handled it with ease. When the vacuum did get pinched, it found its way out and I didn't have to intervene. I am very impressed how far these have come since the first days of the iRobot models. The vacuum sneaks into areas and grabs dust bunnies, hair and particles that your average upright vacuum will miss. It's no joke. It's almost works too well, to the point the bin will fill up quickly if you're not careful. I note this below under the cons. For hardwoods, this vacuum works very efficient and effectively. There are some carpet runners and mats that got caught up in the rotors but it still managed to get free and recover that section of flooring. I rarely noticed the vacuum covering the same section of flooring twice, so trust in the vacuum even if you believe it hasn't covered a section of house, that it WILL return to map the walls. The updated navigation algorithms are excellent. The Cons: We have a couple of pets and they shed constantly. This was our main motivation for getting a robovac. Before the first run through our house, we did a cursory sweep of the big areas of our house. Even with the larger dust bin, I had to empty the container after ~600sq ft and it was full. I wish this model would notify you when the bin was full via an optical sensor or something. The good news is the bin what chucked full of hair and loose debris that I missed, but know that the bin will fill up quickly within several hundred sq ft. The best thing is to keep the vacuum on a regular schedule to minimize how full the bin will get between cleanings, especially if you have pets. Although the battery will cover roughly 1200 sq ft without stopping, the battery takes several hours between charges. I think that's normal, but it took me off guard and it prevents you from running the vacuum again immediately following a full cleaning. Rugs, cords and mats will get caught up in the wheels if they're not heavy or are not taped down. Bath rugs, toilet skirts, kitchen mats and other small rugs will fold up under the vacuum. I'd recommend getting some double-sided rug tape from Home Depot/Lowes before running the vacuum. Either that, or identify which rugs were re-located by the vacuum after the first run and act accordingly. You won't need to intervene when it folds up a rug, but you will need to reset the rug once the Eufy completes its run. This might not be a con, but it completed our 1200sq ft downstairs in roughly 2.5 hours before the battery ran out and it still had a couple of areas left to complete, so prepare accordingly. After the battery recharges, (roughly 3.5 hours later) it resumes where it left on the original map to complete the house. The vacuum is VERY thorough, but this takes time to complete. Overall, this is a great little vacuum and the included boundary strips are handy. We have an elevated bed with soft textiles stored underneath, so the included footage was just enough to outline our king sized bed. We didn't want to risk the vacuum tearing up or getting stuck on the items under the bed. I debated getting the regular G30 but I'd recommend the Edge simply for the magnetic strips. They are handy and you'll never know when you need them or identify an area off-limits for the vacuum.

My house is a 2217 square foot house and its floors are over 75% carpet which requires good vacuuming considering there are small children and a wide layout of rooms on both floors which necessitates a robot vacuum on each floor to ensure deep cleaning on carpets to prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt. This Robot Shark IQ has a high level of absorption leaving a great job in its wake. The ground floor has a large dining room, office, bathroom, laundry room, kitchen and hallway areas that require good vacuuming and I have noticed that even with all of that, it has mapped it out super well in just 3 cycles. , and has started off in a different direction each time, obviously looking to complete the map and is doing an excellent job so far. He has had no problem returning to his "mother ship" to unload when needed and picking up where he left off. Run time on most tile and carpet floors can be approximately 90 minutes, including 1 or 2 round trips to unload. After loading, it will come back out and pick up where it left off, just as you'd expect. On the second floor there are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the work is repeated in the same way with an impeccable finish due to its powerful suction level… it is a great appliance that saves us time and we can program it to clean without us being at home. My 3rd Shark Robot A few years ago I bought a Shark ION RV750 robovac on eBay and was blown away by what a good job it did, so I purchased a Shark R85 on the next Prime Day, but was disappointed as it seemed it wasn't an upgrade, if anything it performed a little worse (it was slightly taller so it didn't fit under as many items of furniture), but it still did an excellent job. So moving into a tri-level home, I knew I wanted to get one more, but was torn between getting another 750 (which I knew worked well – and it's still going strong to this day!) or if I wanted to splurge and get the IQ Self-Empty. The appeal of being able to map and then determine which rooms were to be vacuumed was a big appeal as I've got two teens and their rooms aren't always robovac friendly. I also really liked the idea of not having another robovac to empty daily. We have 3 cats and a dog – along with allergies, so daily vacuuming is a must – and it's always a full bin. I considered the Roomba i7+ and i9+, but figured that I'd already had such a good experience with Shark that I'd stick with what I know works, and works well. So I decided to give the IQ a try. I'm already blown away! It's exceeded my expectations and it hasn't even completed the mapping process yet. As always, set up was a breeze. It's only ran a few times, but I can already tell a difference between it and the 750 that was previously on the top floor. I have a Shark Apex vacuum and the carpets are closer to that level of clean than the ION 750 which is astounding. Unlike my other two robovacs, it sets out and vacuums row by row with an impressive amount of precision. It does, as expected, fail to get debris in compact corners (for example the 4 inches of wall between the dresser and the doorway). It's ability to navigate around items, but then remember exactly where it left off once it has gone around, cleaned and returns to that spot, is equally impressive. The precision in which it finds the dock and loads in unlike the other two robovacs, albeit, I don't give it the suggested space around the dock (all three versions do just fine docking even with minimal surrounding open space). When it self-empties, it is loud, but not any more so than how a normal household vacuum sounded about 20 years ago, and it only lasts for about a minute, if that. I love this little robovac so much that I could see myself replacing the other two older ones with this model in the next year or so. Let me be clear, emptying the bins daily isn't bad at all. It's that the only trash wide enough to easily ensure none of the dust or debris go into the air or on the surrounding ground is the kitchen trash – and that's assuming no one's loaded up the trash to almost being full, and while most of the time, I'll go dump the bins in large trash, if I'm running out the door or in the middle of something else, I do tend to just go to the nearest trash can – which makes a small mess (although much less messy than not having the floors clean at all!).Ashlie
We’ve owned other robot vacuums and it’s very apparent the difference in quality, performance and advanced features with this Shark IQ Robot. The vacuum is very thoroughly at cleaning every nook and cranny. It can transition easily from hardware floors to rugs. There are blocking strips that are included if you don’t want it to go in certain areas such as cords or fringe materials. It does a good job of getting out of a spot that it can get stuck in. I was very impressed that it would maneuver on and off the base of our bar stools. It will get under beds, sofas and tables as long as there is clearance. I would highly recommend downloading the Shark Clean app so the robot can map your house and you can control, monitor and schedule to have it automatically start cleaning or you can turn it off and it will return back to the charging dock. So cute! The best part is the self emptying function that will empty all the debris each time it returns to the base. The only negative feedback is that it is very loud when it performs the self emptying function, but at least you know that it is working. We don’t wear shoes in the house and like to vacuum every few days to pick up any dust and dirt which is very noticeable and enjoyable. This is well worth the price.saleetah

We were so excited about this being our first robot vacuum.. unfortunately it was a horrible experience. First it gets stock on everything, dishwasher , couch, chair. Secondly, it has no radar it runs into everything and then adjusts but doesn’t remember it for future cleans. Thirdly, the mop feature doesn’t work as efficient as it makes it seem. Then after we settled with all those problems it started shorting out just 20 days after purchase. Thankfully we can still return and get another brand. Not a quality product.Connor

Like most folks these days I did some research before making this purchase. To be honest, there are so many robo vacuums both name brand named and unbrandes. This model is unique in that it both mops amd vacuums. Few actully do both. The price, comparitively speaking, is great compared to those that do leas amd cost twice as much. I am impressed with the job it does. Far above what i was hoping for. The mopping is amazing as well. The battery even lasts almost twice as long as advertised. I loved how this valcume picked up. Wasn't impressed with the mop option. But I ended up returning it because the charger/ charging port started not working all the time. The return process has been horrible. First I had to wait for them to email me back, then was offered a discount if I used warranty and now its going to be 10 to 13 days to get my refund. I have several robot vacuums and I can absolutely recommend this one, it cleans well and the navigation is also really good. I'm also going to talk about something that isn't common because my situation is unique. I'm a blind person and can't read print. I use an Iphone which has a built in screen reader called Voiceover which allows a person to use the touch screen if they can't see it. Basically, it allows you to touch anywhere on the screen and hear the item that you have touched, or you can swipe a finger left and right to move through the items on the screen. To activate the item that was spoken, you double tap anywhere on the screen. Depending on how apps are designed, some applications will read better than others. The Eufy home app works really well with Voiceover. I had no problem creating an account and setting up my robot. I also have no problem sending the bot out to clean or changing its settings. The main setting I wanted to change was to set the cleaning power to the highest setting, I figure if the robot has the power, why not use it? The one thing I can't do is use the features that require you to draw on the map but that's the way it is with all robot vacuums, there is no way to speak that kind of information. I always prefer to clean my entire place so for me this is not a concern. This is a great robot vacuum and I could not be happier with it.Mike A.
I’m a mother of three boys 5 years old and under. Our floors get dirty. This was a gift to myself. It has both impressed and disappointed me since I bought it two weeks ago. Cons: I’ll admit I’m new to the robot vacuum world – this is our first. But I was surprised by how much it needs to be babysat. We have it set to run after we go to bed and almost EVERY night for the last two weeks it gets hung up on something or lost. We’re vigilant about picking up the floors before bed and I have my rugs stuck to the floor. Last night was the first time it went out, did a clean of the first floor, and returned to the base without issue. So, overall not the “set it and forget it” situation I was hoping for. Also, on its highest suction mode it’s a bit loud, even with bedroom doors closed – some might not be able to sleep through it. Pros: It has a lot of features – I love features! It starts by creating a map of your house (this bit takes a while and we had to do it twice to get it right). Then once the map is complete you can send it out to clean a single/multiple rooms, a zone (like under the chairs where my kids eat), or a dirty spot (when you open an Amazon package and styrofoam bits go everywhere), or the whole floor (we have an upstairs, but haven’t tried it there yet… too many legos to pick up). I also love that you can create no-go zones – because it was frequently getting hung up on one of our sofa side tables and our fireplace landing area, I just told it not to go there and now it’s not an issue. Love that it has four suction modes, love that the battery life is ridiculously good – it can run for like 2 hours. Love that I can set it to automatically run 5x a day if I want, or to send it out wherever on command. And maybe my absolute favorite thing: it runs in a back and forth motion so I know it’s hitting every inch of floor every night. You can make it do multiple passes of the same area, also – so under the dining table can get cleaned 3x automatically. Overall, I’d recommend this investment to parents of small kids. It really has eliminated the need to sweep, what a gift! But be prepared that the first few weeks will be about making small adjustments until your robot gets acclimated – you’ll be doing a fair amount of search and rescue at the start, and retooling the map. I can confidently say I’m a robotvac convert. Like my wireless Bluetooth headphones or smart watch, I can’t imagine going back to life without a robovac.
Hey! My Eufy just died (continual complaints of Error 14 and demands that I insert the dust collector even after many reboots and cleanings and reinsertions of the dust collector). Great customer service, though, so don't be daunted by having to call them if yours suffers the same issues. I called and, after having to wait like 5 minutes (not bad!), a guy named Thomas came on the line and had me verify when/where I had bought it. Another 5 minutes and the new one is on its way along with a prepaid mailer to return the broken unit. Can't ask for better than that. The unit sucks and the customer service doesn't. I made that up right here on the spot! Hope none of you need the customer service but, if you do, Anker/eufy remembers what customer service used to be and have successfully integrated it into the 21st Century. My heartfelt thanks to them for not being AT&T and everyone else. Oh!, and the actual Robovac worked the charm…until it didn't (failed after 6 months of use). The online help had no mention of this fault, suggesting, at least to me, that this isn't something common. The Android interface is KLUNKY but it's navigable. The hardware itself seems pretty bullet proof….well, until it wasn't. But the Customer Service, (generously applied and rubbed gently, but professionally, in by a guy named Thomas until until Full Satisfaction was achieved) was great!! Ok, a little over the top but, when one unexpectedly gets the kind of service that, at one time, used to be expected as the norm, well, over the top is barely enough!

I have been using the Deboot Ozmo 920 since mid August. Admittedly, I was very skeptical when my husband brought the Deboot home as I have never used a robotic vacuum before. However, after using it for a few weeks, I have to admit that this little robotic vacuum is a definite time saver and I was surprised at how well it can clean my floors. I also appreciate the mopping features and it does a good job with no streaks on my hardwood floors. The features and price of the Deboot Ozmo 920 are top notch and work just as well if not better than other leading brands. The laser mapping and software work very well, and having the ability to setup virtual "no go" zones is a definite asset and allows you to dynamically set up zones while mapping which prevent it from getting tangled in cables behind furniture. The multi-floor feature also works well, and the robot has always been able to successfully identify which floor it is on and automatically chooses the appropriate map. Now that the additional charging station is available for purchase, I will likely buy this to avoid having to move the charger between floors. Overall, I have been very pleased with the Ozmo 920 and after showing friends and family, they have also expressed an interest in owning one.CatherineB
I first purchased the Ozmo 930 back in June, 2019. At first, I absolutely loved it. It did a wonderful jobbing mapping the layout of my house and cleaned the entire place in just about an hour with no issues. But about 6 weeks into owning it, it started having some issues. It would seem to get lost, just spinning around over the same spot without actually being physically stuck on anything. The mapping function no longer seemed to work, as it would say the cleaning was complete while leaving two entire rooms completely untouched. I originally purchased the vacuum on Overstock, and was required to go through Ecovacs to return it. At first, they were really difficult to work with, but in the end, they did accept the return and send me a new one. I received the new one in August and waited to review it to see how it did. Well, just like before, about 6 weeks into using it, I'm experiencing the same issues once more. Only now it's even worse. The battery will die before finishing the clean, which it never had that issue before. It only takes an hour to clean the place; the battery should last longer than that. Again, it gets stuck on nothing at all, appears to get lost and skips entire rooms. Just like before, I've done the troubleshooting. The sensors are clean. The vacuum is properly maintained. It just seems like the computer system in it stops working over time. This shouldn't happen for the price of this. I'm now going to request a return for a full refund, as I have no interest in trying a third vacuum from this company. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! UPDATE: In response to this review, Ecovacs offered an exchange to the upgraded Ozmo 920. I gave it a try and have found this one to have the same issues, only far worse. It moves around as if it really can't see where it is going. It claims to have finished the clean and returns to the charging dock after having completed half a room. My house has a very wide open layout, free from clutter and obstacles. There is no reason at all that it should be experiencing such difficulty. I sent a video to the company showing them what was happening and telling them that I am finished with their products and just want my money back. They responded telling me they would swap out my original vacuum so that I could return it for a refund from the place of purchase, and that I just needed to confirm my address. I did so and asked for the return shipping label so that I could send this one back to them and get the exchange going. They have never responded back. That was 9 days ago and I've emailed them twice since. This has been a huge waste of time/energy/money and I just want to be finished dealing with this company altogether.NicoleMCgm
Can’t seem to find the charging port after taking on and off line restarting to factory settings it still says bring my to charging port laser frequently says LDS malfunction

Is small and not pet friendly I have two golden retriever pups. And hair gets stuck frequently
In the brushes and the drive wheels not worth

I've had a Bob and a Shark autovac and this iHome is the easiest to set up both the vacuum and the app. It's wifi connected immediately. Programming it to clean on specific days and times was extremely easy as well. I think the hardest thing to do was locate the power and home buttons which are touch sensitive and are unable to be seen if not lit up. This vacuum charges quickly and does a decent job sweeping and mapping a course. I have several throw rugs down, to help my GSD with traction, and this robot vac only got stuck once when it actually sucked up the rug and got jammed. My Shark got stuck on them constantly because it's wheels weren't large enough, which is one main reason I stopped using it. This iHome vac also easily finds it's recharging station before it runs out of life. The bin isn't as large as my Bob Pet was but it did my kitchen, dining room and small hallway before I emptied it and it would have he'd a little more. I haven't used it on the main carpet yet so I can't speak to how it will do there but I don't expect these robot vacs to manage heavier items such as carpets with deeper pile. I deep clean those with my Shark lift vac. This iHome robot vac is perfect to just make life a little easier cleaning my hardwoods and tile while having 3 dogs!lindchad
Eclipse G 2 does good on our hard surface floors such as kitchen and hardwood areas and just okay on carpet areas. Not a replacement for real vacuum cleaner or mop, but help keep up and extend full vacuum and mopping. I do like the mop feature and does surprisingly well especially if you spray hard floor lightly with cleaner. I don't see how this says it has navigation, it will tell you where it has been on phone app. however it don't remember room layouts and everytime it goes out it just bumps around like any plain robot vacuum. I found it works best if you just use remote and tell it to do room boarders then tell it to go back and forth in pattern otherwise it just bounces off everthing in no order. It also will not find home base if it is not with 5 feet from it. pushing home button just makes it bump around in circles until you make it go within the 5 feet of base. I'm also afraid that the battery my not last too much longer and only had it 4 months. I have notice a dramatic drop in battery life since new so I might have to use the extended warranty I purchased for it. All in all a okay robot vacuum/mop for the price, but I sure there are better out there. I will mark as yes to recommend item only for those that don't expect true navigation and have open floor plan areas.btim3
love this vaccum! i got it on clearance for $115 so the price value was amazing because its regularly $399! i have to say this thing is awesome! it has a super suction option and i pretty much only run it on that super suction. it picks up great! it really gets the sides of walls great too, its engineered to bump up to the sides and get every crumb. ive had robot vacuums in the past that were the bottom of the line robots that were "cheap" ($120 eufy brand) and so i was reluctant to buy another one but im so glad i did! it really does do a great job and i dont have to go behind it with my dust mop picking up the slack. i also love that i can just switch out the dust bin with the mop bucket and have it mop as well! it also vacuums in order! its not all over the place like the cheaper eufy robot vacuum. if your going to invest in a robot vacuum dont even waste your time with the "cheap" ones. you have to go big or go home. this one is excellent and ive heard its comparable to the $699 roomba. so it does save you a bit of money unless your lucky enough to find it on sale for $115 like i did! 🙂patrick
