Hard to argue with the price, as I got this for 90 on Home Deliveries USA they had a 60 coupon you could click. I helped my parents get a much nicer one, but I needed to save the money and knew I was sacrificing some capabilities, particularly after helping them set theirs up. This thing gets the job 80% done. No mapping capabilities so it doesn’t track its location. Pretty sure the charging base uses radio frequency communication, which the robot only reads once within about 5-7 feet. You can see it realizes it’s finally near it, and then it tries to line itself up. Vacuum power is a little weak and misses items such as cat litter on hard floors pretty easily. Without a roller brush, the vacuum is going to miss things here and there. It’s also very basic programming, and will struggle to get back to its base. It will even knock it’s own base around during cleaning and sometimes make it impossible to get back to its base, so you’ll want to adhere it to the floor. I have a U shaped apartment, and if it ever ends its cleaning cycle in the opposite side of the U, it has a long journey of bumps and confusion trying to find its way back to the charging base on the opposite side of the U. I also had to buy furniture risers rubber pads because if it could just barely fit under something, it would turn itself off. The power button is easy to press under furniture and then you have to find the bugger just sleeping under your couch, so add some adhesive bumpers around the power button, and that’s resolved. Although I was concerned it wasn’t doing much at all at first, I found during cleaning that it has a substantial amount of mess inside it’s tank, and cleaning the filters was fairly easy. Plus, when I get tired of it bumping around endlessly trying to find its base, which it eventually does most times, you can use the app as a remote controller, which is a critical feature in my opinion.  I don’t need to move my mats off the floor in the kitchen or the bathroom, pick my shoes up off the floor if I don’t want to or that shirt sitting over in the corner, I don’t have to worry it’s going to get stuck under at the bed because it does a great job navigating whatever it is under the bed and not only does it do a great job it identifies by taking a picture of whatever item is under there, and with a percentage of certainty it can assess what that item is not always great by does a pretty darn good job. It is by far, as other reviewers have noted, leaps and bounds …. ARTEMIS SIZE… GALACTICLY SUPERIOR to ANY other vacuum. And then, to add an amazing mop that is utilized simultaneously with the vacuuming feature, and the ability to customize from a light mop job to a extra duty session— YESSSSS nailed it in execution, nailed it in design, and nailed it in understanding the deficiencies of the current technologies on the market, and then bring the technology market 🙂 Summarized, and in general, I have been pretty darn critical of most of them tech purchases in the past 10 years because of shifty retailers, manufactures, ad campaigns, all implying, amazing features and benefits that blend into a disappointment and waste. If not a complete failure. It’s usually what is implied by the manufacture, but not stated that leaves disappointment in execution. And then, of course, there are the glaring issues, confronting consumers in the marketplace by way of the retailers, not Best Buy that don’t care about the customer enough to mandate that pro product descriptions are actually in English enough to understand but to me that basically means that a manufacture doesn’t really care about the American consumer at all because if they did, they would find somebody who speaks English enough to write a manual for whatever product and to write print and advertise that product in a way that respects the customer and doesn’t make them have to read between the lines or reword, poor grammatical errors, because of a lack of regard that upsets me more than anything so I’m very glad to have retailers that are still around like Best Buy where I know specifications for a product are going to be the specs for the product. You know this industry segment is still very young when the best robot vacuum by far which is this S7 MaxV Ultra has quite a few areas to improve on but all in all. I LOVE IT! This is advanced AI coupled with top level engineering at its finest for robot vacuum cleaners. At this point, Roborock is Roborock's biggest competitor – however, there's def room for improvement. Below is everything the bot does really well that are selling points. For the "Needs to improve" I'll indicate whether these are software fixes or hardware changes which means you'd have to wait for the next version and hope the changes are built in as part of the bots physical hardware component. Best Features – Intuitive UI & navigation software packed with useful features (3D map, 2 way calling, etc) – Ability to auto fill bot with water, auto empty dustbin and wash mop – Great battery life (my experience) – On board video camera to see where bot is cleaning – Carpet detection feature with mop auto lift – AI obstacle recognition, avoidance & tagging – Room recognition with machine learning capabilities. – Various cleaning configuration settings Needs to improve – Show water levels in app (hardware fix) – Increased suction doesn't do much for carpets. Still misses threads and small particles from time to time. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to try several robot vacuums, but nothing has come close to the ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT X1 OMNI Robot Vacuum & Mop. This unit offers so many features and outperforms all previous units and it also includes a mop feature! What’s in the box: – DEEBOT X1 OMNI vacuum and mop robot – OMNI auto-emptying and auto-cleaning station – Extra dust bag – Extra pair of mopping pads – Cleaning brush – User manual When it arrived the size of the box was a little surprising, I was nervous about how big this robot might be. Once unboxed, it is actually a very manageable size for our home. We have a perfect spot in our family room for the base unit which provides access to all the hardwood and tile flooring on the main level. Setup: There are extensive instructions included (user manual) that are easy to follow and made the initial setup a breeze. Ecovacs has done an amazing job of simplifying the setup process for the non-technical user. Both the Deebot (vacuum) and the Omni station (base – instructions attached) require setup. The base needs to be plugged in and the clean water tank filled. The DEEBOT should be fully charged before initial use. The side brushes and mop pads can be installed at this point or left off for initial mapping of the required spaces. Once the area is mapped a 2D or 3D map is available, rooms can be identified, and zones can be setup and customized as desired. There are numerous settings available based on user preferences. Cleaning: The DEEBOT X1 simply outperforms any previous robot vacuums I have owned. The unit runs quietly, and the mopping performance far exceeded my expectations. I've owned several robot vacuums and I can say nothing comes close to this Ecovacs robot. I've used it for a few days now and am completely blown away with how well this robot works and how dead simple Ecovacs made the whole process. Out of the box this thing is huge. I've had one other self emptying robot vac and the base station for the X1 dwarfs my old base station. This is largely due to the fact that this base station has two massive water tanks to fill and empty the robots on board water tank used to mop hard surfaces. The robot itself is sleek and feel sturdy and very high quality. Packed with every feature imaginable, this robot really is the most advanced smart home device I've ever used. Setting the Robot up was so simple. I followed the instructions in the app, plugged in the base station, connected to wifi and used Ecovacs built in voice assistant "He Yikko" to tell the vacuum to get started. It then made it's way around my house quickly mapping out the entire house room by room. Gone are the days where you have to wait through several full vacuum cycles to get a map of your house. Within 15 minutes the app was updated with an almost perfect map of my house, it even recognized the toilet in the bathroom. After getting the map of the house, I popped on the mop brushes and sent the vac on its way cleaning my house. There were a few things I was really surprised with. The first being how quickly it made its way around my house. It was considerably faster than my old robot and still cleaned just as well if not better. The second was the X1's ability to identify changes in the floor. When you have the mop brushes on the X1 easily identifies transitions to rugs or carpets and knows not to go there and try to mop your carpet. I was also shocked at just how well it cleaned after its first full run. The first run the X1 wandered around finding every wall and moving in what fell like no logical way. But at the end it did clean the house. But every time after that this thing moved like a well oiled machine, starting at the back of the house and moving room by room making straight lines through the whole floor. I will say my floors have not looked this good in a long time. I decided to really test out the X1 by starting it without cleaning up the shoes and toys my kids left all over the house and not opening all the doors all the way. I was again shocked to watch the X1 roam through the house, dodging socks and dolls and finding its way through a half opened door to go about its business. It really only tripped up once by sucking up a white barbie dress, which to be honest is understandable. I've learned the X1's base water tank will last about 4 cycles of mopping by about 1000 sq ft of hardwood, which seems very nice. Emptying the dirty water is quick and simple and man was it full of dirty water. I have no doubt this think is cleaning after looking at the water. It really is a start and forget kind of robot that will do everything you need it to and exceed all your expectations. But the fun doesn't stop at mopping and vacuuming. The X1 has a few other little features that just add to the fun. The first being the build in voice assistant. I wasn't expecting very much, since usually proprietary voice assistants don't work as well as Google or Alexa, but this this is pretty cool. It's faster to respond than any assistant I've used and works great for getting the X1 started and has fun little features like yelling at your X1 to come clean by your feet. There is also a built in camera and speaker on the front of the X1 that lets you use the X1 like a sentry if you want it to roam your house to keep an eye on things while you are away. It's an interesting feature and a neat little addition. I can't say I've gotten a ton of use out of it, but how cool is that my vacuum has a camera. Really the only thing I had any problems with was I wanted to put cleaning solution in the water used to mop, but Ecovacs recommends you only use it's cleaning solution. Only problem is, I can't find anywhere that the cleaning solution is sold. It's not even available on Ecovacs website, which is really strange. Overall, this thing has it all. I don't think you'll find a more advanced robot vacuum, which makes sense given this things price tag. SETUP/MAPPING It comes with the Deebot X1 Omni vacuum/mop robot with a plethora of sensors, two side brushes, a “floating” main brush, three wheels, and mop system attachment with pads. The top is magnetic which grants you access to the on/off switch and a cute little bagless bin that can hold 0.1 gallons with a reusable washable filter that empties automatically when the vacuum goes back to the station or manually if you want to go back to that peasant lifestyle. The Omni auto-emptying and auto-cleaning Station is large compared to other bases. As it houses a clean water tub, dirty water tub, a cleaning brush, an extra pair of mop pads, and a 3L disposable dust bag. The power cord is removeable and has a place to wrap it on the back for cable management. Both the vacuum and the base feel well built, solid, and high quality. Each of the tubs has thick plastic with rubber textured handles. Everything opens and closes easily. Along with sliding in and out of place smoothly. You can tell a TON of engineering went into every single aspect of this device. Replacement parts aren’t too expensive either which is good. They report an overall run time of 140 minutes. Which I found to be accurate on stock settings. But if you increase the suction power it is a lot less. If you run out of battery mid clean it will return to the dock, charge a bit, and then resume cleaning. They report it takes 6.5 hours to charge fully. Which is a long time, but they likely chose that to maximize the life of the battery. They say it has a max decibel range of 68 dB. I found on stock settings it was close to 50 – 60 dB and would imagine going to maximum suction would be between 60 – 68 dB. On the lid of the base, it gives you instructions on how to get started. Which pretty much says unbox everything and scan the QR which takes you to the Ecovacs HomeVac App which then walks you thought the rest of the process. Which is pairing your robot, connecting it to the internet, and doing the initial mapping that you can see in real time. They report that it uses True Mapping 2.0 which scans the home environment, quickly generates a map, plans the most efficient cleaning paths, and they guarantee less missed and repeated spots. Which I found to be accurate. Once the initial mapping was done, I fine-tuned it by adjusting my house walls, combining some rooms, labeled them, and made a few software barriers. Such as my stairs. It treats that barrier as a wall, and I haven’t had an issue with it. Overall setup time was about 30 – 40 minutes. VOICE CONTROLS: The Voice Control supports Alexa and Google Assistant. But also has a unique one called Yiko. Which you can access by saying “Ok, Yiko” and then a plethora of commands such as “begin cleaning”, “stop”, “return to dock”, “what are you doing”, “clean x”, “mop x”, “clean under table”, etc. You can say “I’m here” and through sound localization tech it will seek you out and clean around you. All of which worked well just like any modern age smart assistant. However, the robotic voice can be improved as it doesn’t sound very good. You can increase/decrease the volume through commands or via the app. And it will call out when it is doing something which I LOVE. Such as starting a clean, returning to the base, emptying the bag, cleaning the mop pads, etc. Which I really like. As that way you aren’t left wondering. For those of you concerned about privacy voice commands are saved on a server which you can go in and delete in the app. You can also turn it off if you’d like. OBSTACLE AVOIDANCE: It uses something called AIVI 3D which utilizes AI computing power, astrophotography-grade RGB camera, LiDAR, dToF sensor, autopilot technology, and human recognition to identify and detect obstacles while scanning the home and creating paths to clean even in the dark. They do report that it works better in well-lit environments. Which I found to be true but did just fine in the dark. With all this tech it does a spectacular job at avoiding objects. On the extremely rare occurrence it did suck something up it shouldn’t have it would automatically turn off the brush, lift itself up, and try to vroom off. This worked every time without intervention. There are two protective bumpers on the front, and I found it rarely bumped into anything to activate them. Even when it did it was very mild making me unconcerned about damage to the vacuum or the thing it was being rude to. It never ran into me or my dog. When it detects an object (shoes, dog toys, clothes, cords, socks, etc.) it will clean around them with a minimal barrier (maybe an inch/inch and a half) and gets even closer around tables, chairs, or walls (maybe an inch or less). It never got stuck anywhere. During the initial mapping it shimmed itself into a small crevice under a bed that was barely big enough for it to fit, went exploring, and came out the other side full of dust with a story of adventure. This is my first robot vacuum and I’m very mixed on my opinion. On one hand, it seems to have great build quality, great suction, and cleans the room well. On the other, using this vacuum seems to be a lot more work that my primary traditional vacuum (also a Shark, which I love). The first thing that got me after opening the box was that it recommends That you have and area with 3 feet on each side of the base station, and 5 feet in front unobstructed for the permanent setup. I don’t have anywhere in my 2100 sq ft. house where that would work, and if I did, it would be a focal point of whatever room it was in. I did find a place with about half the recommended space, and it seems to be working fine, but one of my hopes for a robot vacuum was that it could be tucked away out of site behind a chair. The setup with the app was extremely easy and problem free. The vacuum does a great job of cleaning, but it takes a long time to complete the 400 square foot area I have it in. You also need to have the lights on when it runs. I have kids who tend to leave toys around, or even may enter the room and drop something during the 45 minutes it takes to complete the room. You need to make sure the room is completely free of obstructions, because it will just drive right over things like board games or cars if they are left out. It does do a good job of getting unstuck if it gets hung up on something. I really wanted to love this device, but I find it is just so much easier and convenient to use my regular vacuum that takes up 1’x1’ in the closet and can finish the whole room in 1/10th the time.Jlschle

I purchased this Shark EZ Robot vacuum during the Black Friday promotion. Wal-Mart offered a great price, and it had features I was excited to try, as this is my first purchase of a robot vacuum. I’ll begin my review with the good features: the vacuum does vacuum in straight rows. The suction/ cleaning ability seems overall pretty good on its first cleaning run in my home today. It’s not too noisy, which is a nice feature. And now, the negative features: the battery life on this Shark EZ Robot is terrible. I’m uncertain if I got a bad unit, or if this is common with this brand. And today is the first day of use after charging for 24 hours. I purchased this Shark EZ Robot vacuum for the 2nd floor of my home, and after vacuuming three bedrooms (closets closed) the unit went back to recharge on its base, and it’s having trouble coming up to full charge. When it tells me it’s “ready to clean” it just goes back and re-vacuums the main bedroom the unit is stored in, and then needs additional time for charging. Basically, I set a cleaning time of 1 pm today- it’s now 7:35 pm, and the master bedroom and half the hallway haven’t been vacuumed- due to poor battery life and the unit re-vacuuming the room it’s stored in, rather than beginning at the point it stopped, and finishing the “clean.” Super, super frustrating. My honest opinion would be to avoid this unit unless you have a very small area that this vacuum cleans before needing to travel back to its base to re-charge. The Self Empty Shark Ez Robot is very useful. I love that I am now a little at ease about crumbs being everywhere and happy I have a good strong Robot to help me in my cleaning needs. I am a person if I see crumbs it bugs me and I need them picked up and I always feel like when I sweep the little crumbs are still left behind. This Robot is so helpful and strong pick up in this case. There's good Suction and you are allowed to choose a strength level I do normal and max mostly if I just swept then I may just do a simple sweep with the robot. So the Max is good suction and I find it better on carpet and the floors when you haven't swept it does good on max to get the good pick up. Normal strength I do if I swept in the day and want a clean up or just in a normal situation it does great. I also have pets and so little crumbs with there food happens and even small dust of cat littler. The robot did great on pick up. I love the fact that it has a 30 day small bucket system before I need to empty saves me time. I was actually really shocked when I did empty the bucket I think I do a pretty good job sweeping and mopping, but I got lots of the dust and debris and hair pick up from the robot vacuum. I was shocked because I have 2 cats and it still did nicely on picking up everything in general. This Vacuum is easy to use and the App is great as I can do everything on my phone and customise it how I want. On the App you can do many things and see history and reports and time it how you want it to run. You can even do a schedule which is great for all situations a busy person or simple just a regular routine. This ez robot vacuum is so easy to maintenance and understand its great. Good owners guide and fast quick start guide. Simple to get started and easy to empty. I am in love with my little helper and it really does help us people who really need a clean space or comfort in knowing the floors are clean. My house is a 2217 square foot house and its floors are over 75% carpet which requires good vacuuming considering there are small children and a wide layout of rooms on both floors which necessitates a robot vacuum on each floor to ensure deep cleaning on carpets to prevent the accumulation of dust and dirt. This Robot Shark IQ has a high level of absorption leaving a great job in its wake. The ground floor has a large dining room, office, bathroom, laundry room, kitchen and hallway areas that require good vacuuming and I have noticed that even with all of that, it has mapped it out super well in just 3 cycles. , and has started off in a different direction each time, obviously looking to complete the map and is doing an excellent job so far. He has had no problem returning to his "mother ship" to unload when needed and picking up where he left off. Run time on most tile and carpet floors can be approximately 90 minutes, including 1 or 2 round trips to unload. After loading, it will come back out and pick up where it left off, just as you'd expect. On the second floor there are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the work is repeated in the same way with an impeccable finish due to its powerful suction level… it is a great appliance that saves us time and we can program it to clean without us being at home. My 3rd Shark Robot A few years ago I bought a Shark ION RV750 robovac on eBay and was blown away by what a good job it did, so I purchased a Shark R85 on the next Prime Day, but was disappointed as it seemed it wasn't an upgrade, if anything it performed a little worse (it was slightly taller so it didn't fit under as many items of furniture), but it still did an excellent job. So moving into a tri-level home, I knew I wanted to get one more, but was torn between getting another 750 (which I knew worked well – and it's still going strong to this day!) or if I wanted to splurge and get the IQ Self-Empty. The appeal of being able to map and then determine which rooms were to be vacuumed was a big appeal as I've got two teens and their rooms aren't always robovac friendly. I also really liked the idea of not having another robovac to empty daily. We have 3 cats and a dog – along with allergies, so daily vacuuming is a must – and it's always a full bin. I considered the Roomba i7+ and i9+, but figured that I'd already had such a good experience with Shark that I'd stick with what I know works, and works well. So I decided to give the IQ a try. I'm already blown away! It's exceeded my expectations and it hasn't even completed the mapping process yet. As always, set up was a breeze. It's only ran a few times, but I can already tell a difference between it and the 750 that was previously on the top floor. I have a Shark Apex vacuum and the carpets are closer to that level of clean than the ION 750 which is astounding. Unlike my other two robovacs, it sets out and vacuums row by row with an impressive amount of precision. It does, as expected, fail to get debris in compact corners (for example the 4 inches of wall between the dresser and the doorway). It's ability to navigate around items, but then remember exactly where it left off once it has gone around, cleaned and returns to that spot, is equally impressive. The precision in which it finds the dock and loads in unlike the other two robovacs, albeit, I don't give it the suggested space around the dock (all three versions do just fine docking even with minimal surrounding open space). When it self-empties, it is loud, but not any more so than how a normal household vacuum sounded about 20 years ago, and it only lasts for about a minute, if that. I love this little robovac so much that I could see myself replacing the other two older ones with this model in the next year or so. Let me be clear, emptying the bins daily isn't bad at all. It's that the only trash wide enough to easily ensure none of the dust or debris go into the air or on the surrounding ground is the kitchen trash – and that's assuming no one's loaded up the trash to almost being full, and while most of the time, I'll go dump the bins in large trash, if I'm running out the door or in the middle of something else, I do tend to just go to the nearest trash can – which makes a small mess (although much less messy than not having the floors clean at all!).Ashlie

We’ve owned other robot vacuums and it’s very apparent the difference in quality, performance and advanced features with this Shark IQ Robot. The vacuum is very thoroughly at cleaning every nook and cranny. It can transition easily from hardware floors to rugs. There are blocking strips that are included if you don’t want it to go in certain areas such as cords or fringe materials. It does a good job of getting out of a spot that it can get stuck in. I was very impressed that it would maneuver on and off the base of our bar stools. It will get under beds, sofas and tables as long as there is clearance. I would highly recommend downloading the Shark Clean app so the robot can map your house and you can control, monitor and schedule to have it automatically start cleaning or you can turn it off and it will return back to the charging dock. So cute! The best part is the self emptying function that will empty all the debris each time it returns to the base. The only negative feedback is that it is very loud when it performs the self emptying function, but at least you know that it is working. We don’t wear shoes in the house and like to vacuum every few days to pick up any dust and dirt which is very noticeable and enjoyable. This is well worth the price.saleetah

Doesn't vacuum in any organized fashion whatsoever….basically goes all over the place, like it's drunk. Unfortunately, it also goes over the same spots a few times but leaves some spots untouched. I still have to take out my regular vacuum for those and for the carpet (which I knew it doesn't vacuum carpets). It saves me a bit of time I guess because while it vacuums like a drunken sailor, I can do something else and when it's done, I go over what it did and finish with the carpet. Wherever it DOES vacuum, it does a good job and picks up everything, so that's a plus for sure. Good thing it wasn't more than I paid though – not sure yet if I regret this purchase.Adela

I bought this from best buy within a few months of being released, and boy did I learn my lesson never to buy a new design within the first year. The app would not support multiple maps for different floors. When the battery died while the vacuum got stuck overnight under a couch, it would not turn on. I reached out to help each time, and it looks like they finally released a firmware update to make that bit better. Since the first five months, it has been a dud sitting in the hallway. I reached out to support, and after going back and forth for months, they wouldn't help; I gave up. So I have a product under warranty that can't be fixed. I regret not buying third-party support. After finding online forums reporting similar issues for other neato products, I learned to stay from these. My electric car runs with zero maintenance costs, and this thing requires cleaning of sensors every time you go to the bathroom. I purchased the D8 since my BotVac was starting to get a little noisy and I felt it was time for an upgrade. I read the reviews but ignored them due to my previous experience with Neato. I should have listened to the previous reviewers. The D8 has been nothing but trouble. It gets stuck in corners; can’t navigate floor air vents without saying it’s too close to an edge; gets stuck under cabinets and stops short of its base. These are just a few of the problems we have encountered. Customer service is a joke. I have dealt with them multiple times and they don’t understand the situations. Honestly they’re reading from a prepared text of action items and have no working knowledge of their products.

What a disappointing experience. Neato used to be a great product and company. Now they are mediocre at best and oblivious to how disappointing their products and support have become. Save your money and sanity and purchase a better product. I hope they get their act together soon.Jamie Craven

Just bought this sorry excuse for a robot vacuum cleaner the other day. First run it used up half of its battery mapping one room (that’s how long it took). Climbed over carpets great and raised floor pieces between rooms. The first run was almost complete when the robot froze out of nowhere in the middle of the floor and got “lost” and didn’t know where it’s base was. It told me to return it to its base where it is supposed to save the mapping of my house…it did not! I let it charge and attempted it again. Everything was great for 5 seconds until it froze right in front of its base and was confused once again….so I reset it, reset the wifi, reset the app, reset everything I could…still gave me this issue. Finally later that night it started working properly and ran the whole house with ease, once the battery got low it announced it was going back to base…well instead of going through doorways this robot tries to make a B line for the base attempting to drive through walls to get there. I move it literally 2” away so maybe it would realize it’s being dumb, no it does a 180 and drives the opposite way still lost. It stays lost for so long it stops vacuuming and it just casually driving around the room. So in the end the robot never properly mapped my house. And to add to this, the bot constantly says something is causing its wheel to be stuck when both wheels are free. Not only does it have an e-girl voice but the spinner on the side will randomly stop working, it will circle under chairs about 10 times before it finally decides it’s clean, and it is the dumbest “intelligent” robot on earth. I've had a few robot vacuums over the past few years. I've tried the big names like Neato D-Vacs / Roombas ($400-$700 range) and I found that while they had great suction power and capacity, their navigation abilities made them useless. All the cleaning power in the world means nothing if your robot vacuum never makes it back to it's base to charge and you're stuck hunting for it to carry it home everyday. I got this Eufy G30 Verge on a special buy price of $169 down from the usual $350, and it absolutely blows all of the other robot vacuums I've tried out of the water. It's very deceiving when you first fire it up since it's extremely thin and makes very little noise. I actually tried feeding it a couple dust bunnies to make sure it was on because it was so quiet. Despite this, 30mins into letting it map my house, I had to empty the dust bin because it was full….. with dust and hair (as seen in the pic)…. that was still on my floor without me being able to see it after manually vacuuming the day before. It ran for about an hour and generated a full map of my 1000 square foot condo before heading back directly to it's dock to charge. You can watch it generate the map using the app, and you can see that it uses that map to navigate your home perfectly. It moved in clean lines and then shot to areas of the condo that had missing boundaries on the map to fill in the data. Its very clear watching this bot move that it's far more intelligent than non-mapping bots, especially those that just bump around forever. SUMMARY The compact and stylish Eufy G30 Verge is the king of navigating homes and always making it back to its dock. While it may lack the power and capacity of some of it's larger robot vacuum rivals such as the Neato D-Bot or Samsung models, it is more than capable of ridding your low-pile carpet and hard floors of hair and dust. Although I wouldn't recommend this for homes with operating areas larger than 1000 square feet or large levels of hair and debris like food, this is the perfect bot vac for areas less than 1000 square feet that is generally clean but you would like to maintain. This isn't a miracle worker that can deep clean your floors, but with a price tag of under $200 it's an absolute steal.Alex

I usually love the brand, Eufy. I have had two now. My first one is the first edition and it lasted a few years before it started to be really loud. It still sucked (literally sucked, not it was bad, sucked), but was too loud. So, I bought this one to replace my old one. I put my old one upstairs and kept this one downstairs. First off, it was a fantastic robot. It sucked everything up really well! It was really quiet and really fast. I keep really good care of everything I own. So, I regularly cleaned the filter and cleaned the wheels and did maintenance on to keep it going good. The warranty ran out at 12 months and at 13-14 months my little robot stopped sucking as well and became really loud. I contacted the Eufy corporate office and they told me a bunch of things to do to help the robot. So, I cleaned everything again and the problem stayed the same. I replied again and they offered me a discount. I explained that I think I might have a faulty one because my other one has lasted for years. Also, I did not want to buy another one for it to stop working at 13 months. They then offered a replacement kit, which contained brushes. I already had bought brand new brushes and I knew that this was not the problem. It stopped sucking up debris, so brushes were not what I needed. I explained all of this to them and they said that there warranty is for 12 months and I can honor the discount and that is all they can do. They and I were very polite to each other, but we just do not agree. I normally only review if an item was good, but I just did not want someone else to buy this and have it not work one to two months after the warranty runs out.CJ

Yes, there's a one-year warranty that's standard with most electronics, but they shouldn't last only two years and conk out. I'd expect at least three years or four, but ideally, five with normal use and a battery replacement ($30). I emailed back and forth with Eufy customer service about this, and they were only willing to give me a discounted price if I bought the new one from the Eufy store. Well, with their 40% discount, it's STILL more expensive than buying a new one from on Amazon, so thanks for nothing. On top of that, the battery replacement (which didn't fix the problem), they want ME to pay for shipping to send it back. If I'd known it wouldn't fix the problem, I never would have ordered it. Then they offered me extra brushes, filters, etc. I want a discounted replacement, not maintenance materials. Bottom line: Quality is questionable. If your product can't last four years with regular use and maintenance, then you're designing for two year obsolescence, not quality.T. V.

I received this vacuum cleaner from Samsung for product testing purposes. I've never really considered owning a robotic vacuum before – both because I thought the setup might be an involved process and that I would need another vacuum to do the stairs. Well, having a decent sized home with fairly large rooms, each with either solid wood or hard vinyl installed, the JetBot changed my mind quite quickly! The room scanning with the LiDAR is superb. You can see a plan of your room appear on the Smart things app I'm seconds, and the whole of your house start to take shape before your eyes. Very impressed. I have a black labrador with sheds a good number of hairs around the house and being black against lighter coloured flooring the floor looks clean for about ten minutes after vacuuming usually. With the jet bot you can just select the room to clean from the app and hey presto, your room is clean and hair free with zero effort! You can also drag a square on your phone screen to cover an area of your home to spot clean and the JetBot obliges immediately. There are many options to tailor the cleaning process to your liking, and I especially like the self emptying process when the JetBot returns to its base. You can also control the JetBot from out and about – I tested through the Smart Things app with my phone WiFi disabled and it worked over mobile data. I was also very impressed with the JetBots ability to clean surfaces that are raised off the floor. I have freestanding speakers and kitchen stools that both have bases that are up off the floor. The JetBot lifts itself up and cleans those areas perfectly as well! I am completely convinced of the benefits of owning a robotic vacuum now – yes you'll still have to do the stairs with another vacuum, but that is all you will have to do. I have had "bot" vacuums for years, but this was the fanciest model I have used. The difference is night and day. Coming home to a house filled with vacuum lines because it cleans so well on its own is so satisfying. Is it loud when it's working, yes it is, but do we watch t.v. while it is in the room just fine? Yes we do. It is very good at getting to the edges of rooms, it does have a harder time getting under cabinet edges, but overall it does a spectacular job. And when it returns to the base station and another vacuum system empties the collection bin and puts it in the bag in the station it's so cool to hear, now that one is loud, but it's like 10 seconds and then it's back to charging. The first time you use it it will map out your house and show you a surprisingly accurate map of your house and any furniture etc. that is has "found" while mapping everything. It does cover room transitions very well, it's still low to the ground, but it has the ability to lift itself over objects and transitions very well. The ability to make "no go" zones on your map is also very handy, if you don't want it to go to cords, get near stairs or electronics. Or for me last week, not get to close to the x-mas tree, an area that it normally will clean. And I can go back later and "edit" the map and remove that zone with just a few clicks. A few drawbacks, it can get stuck but not very easily, and the sensors will get dirty, and it will yell at you from the other side of the house saying please check the sensors. But usually, it's a warning and it will continue cleaning. When using the application to have it clean, it will send you notifications if it gets stuck or needs to be cleaned etc. And being able to look at a map of where it has cleaned, and I mean every back and forth, you can visually see how many times it has covered a room. It sometimes is finicky if you pick it up, so you might need to have it "return to dock" and then resume but those have been few and far between. I think I have only used my regular vacuum once in the past 6 months because of this machine. Drawbacks would have to be no parts for the machine, you cannot find bags anywhere in the world for that matter, it doesn't make sense. Now I am still on my first bag, but it needs to be changed, and you still cannot order them, even from Samsung, this seems to be the biggest complaint. What good is a $1000 vacuum that you cannot get parts for? But once they become available, I would say this is a win!waywardt

Coming from an old school Neato BV85, this "smart" vacuum was a significant upgrade. When I first turned it on, it "mapped" the house and built a floorplan profile. I misunderstood that it would be building the floorplan while it vacuumed as my old vacuum did, but it instead drove the entire house and used its LIDAR to map the floors. I messed up because I closed some doors that I didn't want it to vacuum at the moment so those rooms didn't get mapped. After I figured out what was going on, I watched the mapping occur real time on my phone, it was quite impressive and very accurate. I later learned that if I had let it map the entire house, I could forbid those areas from being vacuumed whenever I wanted to, so I should have let it map. I'll just have to redo it at some point. The vacuum worked well, was very quiet, and did the whole house on a single charge. It did return to empty its dust bin several times mostly due to the immense amount of dog hair. This is a nice feature. Overall it did well, and was very quiet. Only noticed two things that my old Neato seemed to do better. The Samsung has no side cleaning spin brush to get up close to the baseboard like my Neato. It still seemed to do OK, but it missed a few small spots because of this. Secondly, due to the way the sensors work, it would not get up close when it made a turn around an outside corner. It would angle in and then drive and hit, then back up and try again until it got straightened out. Bottom line is that it wouldn't get close to the wall for about the first foot after it went around an outside corner. I think the software algorithm can be updated over time to improve this. I like the vacuum and really like the WiFi features, I didn't think I would this much.Nextelspe

The robot works really well and is easy to use. The mop is good if you want a light clean since no soap can be used. I like that the dust bin is large and holds a good amount of dust and dirt before having to dispense. I am still learning to use the Mi Home app properly so it can map my home but overall I am happy with my purchase.V

Vacuum works great but it gets stuck under the fridge and dishwasher which I dont like. It senses the stairs so that was good. Didnt mop to good and it got stuck even more mopping than it does vacuuming. The app works ok but needs improvement with features and commands should have both for vacuum and mopping.queenvq

We were so excited about this being our first robot vacuum.. unfortunately it was a horrible experience. First it gets stock on everything, dishwasher , couch, chair. Secondly, it has no radar it runs into everything and then adjusts but doesn’t remember it for future cleans. Thirdly, the mop feature doesn’t work as efficient as it makes it seem. Then after we settled with all those problems it started shorting out just 20 days after purchase. Thankfully we can still return and get another brand. Not a quality product.Connor

Very convenient to use these smart devices and a dual action mop and sweep is a plus.,The machine works and picks up dirt , however it lacks intelligence. It keeps on rotating in the same area forever. Even when I use the remote it keeps on turning back to where it wants. I basically fight and scream at this machine to stop rotating in the same place. It chooses corners and narrow spots to go under and then gets stuck and turns off. I sometimes forget the dogs water cup on the floor and there she goes to knock it off and spills water. Wires should be kept off the ground or it would devour them in a blink. I like this machine , but I wish it were a little smarter and not skipping the important areas and wanders as it like. It is still a better choice than mopping and sweeping on a daily basis .Sahar

This product has filled a hole in my life I didn't know I had. it works great. there is no app to mess with. There is a pretty good manual. set up is easy and it does everything I want it to. I was sweeping the house three times a day as we have no carpet to hide small dirt particles in. I was very opposed to getting a robotic vacuum for years. since working at home during the Pandemic the idea grew on me like a fungus. I didn't want to spend a fortune on something I probably wouldn't use much. I ordered this little Gem. as far as a vacuum it works great. it's really sucks, which is great when reviewing a vacuum. she moves effortlessly from room to room. she gets every spec of dust but she does take her time doing so. But you know what? It's her time. let her spend it doing what she was made to do as long as she likes. When done she goes back to her little place in the world to rest and recharge. I will say I removed a star due to the mopping feature. Don't get me wrong it works. and she does a pretty good job. but the patterns left behind on my laminate floors makes it look like Jackson Pollock programmed the mopping pattern. maybe she would do better on your floors. we do have to mop with the grain or every stroke shows up. The Bottom line is if you are contemplating getting a companion to sweep your floors this little girl is no joke. BTW….. the female references are due to naming her Rosie after the Jetsons Robot.Kevin

Works well with the remote to start and go back to dock. Have not had luck getting it to begin clean cycle on clock program, Probably because we use it in different rooms at different times and carry it to the room. Not everyone has wide open floor plan. It picks up pet hair and pieces of clay litter on hard surface floor. That is a huge assist! We like the Edge option if you want to have it go along the baseboards on hard floor surface especially in the high traffic areas such as the kitchen food prep area. It runs quietly. Advise to cleanse out tray after each use. The wet mop option works as well. May not need that every day unless you have tile you want wet mopped every day. You can find robot vacuums that are priced into $350.00 or more. They run on your phone program. But some reviews of those type indicate you’re opening your wifi and floor plan to other undesirable tracking elements. Comments and opinions are from a Robot Vac.newbie and not an expert. Like most folks these days I did some research before making this purchase. To be honest, there are so many robo vacuums both name brand named and unbrandes. This model is unique in that it both mops amd vacuums. Few actully do both. The price, comparitively speaking, is great compared to those that do leas amd cost twice as much. I am impressed with the job it does. Far above what i was hoping for. The mopping is amazing as well. The battery even lasts almost twice as long as advertised. I cannot think of a single negative attribute with this model. Im very pleased and will buy another when the time comes.MattMcG

I loved how this valcume picked up. Wasn't impressed with the mop option. But I ended up returning it because the charger/ charging port started not working all the time. The return process has been horrible. First I had to wait for them to email me back, then was offered a discount if I used warranty and now its going to be 10 to 13 days to get my refund. If Wal-Mart is going to sale items on their page please back the product by allowing returns directly through you.laura

This little baby is an absolute game changer! With pets and people through the house all day, there has always been the chore of yet another floor vacuum looming. Oh my goodness .that daily chore has been wiped off the list! Instead I have taken great delight in making a coffee and sitting down to watch this wonderful little maid complete it all for me !!! It does a great job, zooming around sucking up all the mess, yet also gently manoeuvres its way around chair legs and obstacles without causing any chaos. And I have to say, one of the best things is that it cleans under the bed!!!! No more do I have to get down there in awkward positions trying to manoeuvre the vacuum stick underneath to clean all the dust! What a winner!!! Absolutely love it and am still so excited about being able to just set it and leave it to do its thingand I don't even have to put it away as when its finished, as it says clean completed and takes itself back to the charging station to charge and wait until the next time! The Deebot not only vacuums but mops as well. Very easy to set up, not terribly noisy and had no problems moving from the tiles to the wooden floor, the carpet or the rugs. Am really happy with the vacuum job it does and although I will still hand mop the floors once a week, the Deebot's mop saves me from having to mop more frequently and my floors stay looking clean and tidy with no effort thanks to this awesome little home helper!Lisa

N8 Pro has all the advanced features of a premium robot vacuum but at a fraction of the price. Suction strength is good for both hard floors and carpet. Carpet detection means it automatically increase suction power for carpets and the cleaning result is good. During the first use it maps out the house, this initial step does take a long time to complete. After the initial mapping, I can choose to clean the whole house or smaller designated areas and it does so in a much shorter amount of time.During vacuum, it has sensors to avoid things like slippers, socks or random items lying on the ground. It does this reasonably well but I did have a floor standing fan that the vacuum cleaner didn't recognise as an obstacle to avoid, so it climbs on to the fan base and it ends up getting stuck and gave an error. To elaborate, the fan base was shaped like a ramp so the robot vacuum thinks it can proceed onto the base instead of avoiding it. I've worked out the solution was to either remove the fan from the floor to be cleaned or I could create a virtual wall with the Ecovac cleaning app so the robot vacuum will avoid the fan. Noise level is lower than expected. It is definitely much quieter than my non-robot vacuum cleaners.Overall, it does everything the marketing material says it can do and I think it does map, clean and avoid obstacles rather well. Battery life could be better as a single charge is insufficient to clean the whole house for me. Ecovac T8 and T9 , which are the premium models come with the bigger battery capacity but they have a much higher price point. I was happy to settle for the smaller battery because the robot will return to recharge and then continue to clean from where it left off.anonymous

I purchased the N8 Pro after considering all the other models. I have to say that so far I am very impressed with how well it vacuums my hardwood floors and carpets. It has no trouble changing from hardwood to carpet and does a very decent job, a lot better than I expected. The mapping went well however it did take a while as it had to recharge before it finished off the mapping. The 3D Auto detection does a good job of avoiding obstacles along with my dogs that like to stand in its way. I also purchased the auto empty bin and I am so glad I did. I find that it makes it so fuss free and saves having to empty it each time. I now vacuum my hardwood floors in our living areas and the main bedroom every day and the entire house once a week and the floors look spotless. I tried the mopping function once and it was terrible, luckily the vacuuming makes up for its poor mopping ability. This model doesn't have the oscillating mop attachment so maybe it would work a lot better if it did. All in all it was well worth the purchase.Gail55

The iLife Robot is great. I gets underneath areas that are hard for me to clean. It usually takes 2 charges to clean the entire house so the battery life is pretty good. It’s easy to clean up too. Highly recommend. Even the pup approves!amanda.k

I have seven Chihuahua's life was a nightmare with trying to keep up with the dog hair not any more. We call this little worker DJ Beetle! (get it… eh eh?? maybe not lol) He keeps our house looking amazing considering we have two dogs and a now 13 month old. It is easy to set up and easy to get a specific time set so it will automatically do it itself. What we do not like about it is that it does tend to get stuck sometimes and has some weird obsession with getting stuck in our bathroom and closing the door.. However, when the battery starts to die or it is done it's task of rocking the house it will return to base till his next mission. The downside to him in terms of cleaning is he is not very good at taking dog hair off low pile carpeting but considering he takes about 1 hour worth of cleaning off my plate everyday he has earned his keep in the house lol!tori.a

A friend of mine recommended Roborock after trying 3 others. It is my first actual smart robot and I really like it after a week. It can accurately map the entire home, recognizes and avoids obstacles like slippers, cords and chairs. I still recommend putting things away for complete cleaning. The app is easy to use and responsive. I think they should have added at least a sample cleaning solution.Gurbey

Overall I found that this unit clean the floors and rugs extremely well. Better than my upright. Here are some things I've learned. Even though it is relatively low profile it has gotten stuck under my couch and dresser. However, it does clean in tight areas under furniture given sufficient clearance that I don't normally clean that often. I found that the battery does not last the claimed 90 minutes nor does it know when to return to the charging station when the battery level is low so it just dies wherever. The phone app is unreliable primarily due to losing the wi-fi connection to the unit. I found doing selective room cleaning to be best by closing doors and limiting the area where it cleans. I wouldn't leave it running unattended until you get familiar with where it could get stuck. I would minimize clutter or other items on the floor that it could get caught on such as shoes laces or appliance wires, etc. While not as noisy as my upright, there is a constant sound level that some may find disturbing. One can still talk on the phone while it is running. Hey it has a motor… Navigation looks totally dumb as it will go over the same area a few times, but then one is assured that the area is clean. No matter I am happy with the vacuum as it saves me the time from dragging out the upright and from manually vacuuming. Instead I can be doing other things while it is working away!Mike
