I purchased this during a short price deal offer. The delivery and unboxing went fine, no quibble. I own a Wahl Balding clipper which I use primarily as a a bald shaver with limited haircutting duties so the Senior has effectively had to deliver the same service cordless. First task was to reset the blades to zero overlap. The result for the close cutting is only just acceptable compared to what the Balding does but the obvious advantage of the Senior is portability and convenience of mobility which almost makes up. Maybe Wahl should consider zero-overlap blades for the Senior or even a cordless Balding clipper for the future.Edwin E.

i ordered this item because it had a picture of big and small clippers. in the box there was only the big clippers. if i knew it was only going to be the big ones i would have bought a cheaper pair. i used the clippers. they are relatively quiet and worked perfect. just sissapointed on not getting the smaller pair of clipper/trimmers.nyla

Took me a few minutes because this is bigger and a little heavier than my last WAHL trimmer, but it does a great job! Love the additional neck trimmer. My husband does too. Shaves the neck so smooth without "pinching" the skin. Has so many attachments that we won't use, but sure could have used the eyebrow trimmer attachment.That would have been great! i Purchase 2 of these items and receive this item Friday 2, October 2020 Now i have to return them because they don't work as advertised As a long time user of Wahl Clipper, I was able to use their clipper to trim my beard, mustache, and sideburns, this is my 8th clipper for the last 20 years, so to the point these clippers are terrible, they can't even trim my forearm hair or toilet tissue with and without the trimming attach, they have some power issue when you attach the hair adapter, it would stop the blade from moving; if the blades stop they can burn the hair clipper. it looks like they're getting worst and the gimmick doesn't work, sometimes simple is best. by the way, the trimmer feature stops working as soon as I try to trim forearm hair. My Andis Envy Li rechargables are great. They are lightweight to manuver where needed. The attachment gaurds are easy clip on and off. It seems to me that Andis is the best brand on the market as well.JohnJohn

When I got these clippers I was not impressed by their cut by decided to give them some time to break in. 3 months later I'm so mad I did not return them. First of all, you are getting a model D8 trimer and model LCL clippers. They can both be bought individually and save dollars. Secondly, they do not cut very close. It swishes its tail and claps its jaws! Adorable. Well built with durable materials, and vivid green paint. It entertained a table full of young adults as the baby looked on and laughed at them. The only thing I did not like is the long skinny pull string. It is actually a strong cord, but it is very skinny and can easily get wrapped around little hands. I am going to replace the string before allowing the grandkids to have it. Other than that string, this toy is a blast and kids of all ages seem to appreciate it.soapylady71

Ive used Andis T-edgers for decades now. My last one literally fell apart while using it. I was plastic and Im a very busy hairstylistprobably dropped it a few times in its life. This one feels better in my hand. Still light but sturdier. A better shape to hold onto. It cost more than Ive paid in the past but Im feeling it will last longer. This is my first clipper , it's really great . Comes off as a quality product , very sharp . My hair was starting to grow abit long , ( i usually cut it down to 1cm length at the hairdresser ) and i cut it from maybe 10cm down to half a centimeter with this when i got it . Like i said it s really sharp but the engine do stall when you go to fast and the hair "clogs up" , but at the right "medium" speed it cut my hair like butter , when it was starting to grow abit long , and thick . I was surprised at how heavy it was and that it vibrates quite abit . It also lacks a good case for storage , so far i'm just using the plastic package it came in and i also dont have a place for it in a cabinet , i just have it on a shelf and if it were to drop to the floor it would have no protection . But i've read that one of wahl's goals is to make affordable quality clippers and the clipper itself is affordable and its quality . So i guess they have cut cost from selling it without a quality case . It also lacks a quality storage system for the plastic things to set the cutting length but i guess thats also to cut cost . So all in all i give this 5stars because it truly is an affordable quality clipper and i m sure i will use this for many years to come without any problems ! 🙂 Theyprobably could've charged twice as much for it and it still would be an acceptable price for the product But i'm probably gonna get myself one of these tiny "aluminium suitcases" for storage . Did not think this item was anything special. Was recommended by my barber and it had good reviews. When trimming my beard it pulls a lot and I have to go over multiple times to get all the hair off.Ari

What with the pandemic and not having that much hair to worry about I took the plunge and purchased these as I had basically been getting a Number 2 at the barbers anyway. Normal clippers look cumbersome to use on yourself so this looked ideal. And indeed it is. Easy to handle, easy to use, quick and fast, very easy to use. Im now keeping my hair trimmed every week and I think I've visited the barbers for the last time. Only thing id say is be careful with the comb you select. 2mm is not a Number 2. Luckily I chose the 4.5mm one which tbh is a Number 1 on normal clippers, but did a very tidy job. Start high and work down.dundee-united

The Remington shortcut pro self hair cutting kit is an amazing set of clippers! As a mom of boys, Ive had about 5 different sets of clippers and these are by far the best! Super easy to use. This is my first cutter purchase. After watching videos I did the COVID Cut. I liked this model honestly because of the looks. I do not not plan on zero gapping, it works just fine the way it is. For the hapless like myself I used the guides. I bought the separate guides and used a #7 on the top a #5 on the sides and the right and left ear guides. Super disappointed to say the least. The clippers themselves look great but didn't get to use them. The box i was sent was clearly returned by someone else. To make things worse, the clippers were clearly used. There was someone elses hair on the clippers and inside the box. This is top end expensive for a clipper. Bought for use at home and we are non-professional stylists lol! It feels nice, heavy and the metal casing gives it a vintage look. The clipper itself works great so far, got through my mop and my sons as well. Charges quickly and doesn’t loose power like my old clippers did. Would be nice to have instructions on how best to use it, get a proper fade etc, Instruction manual only has practical stuff like how to charge it, oil blades etc. Had to look it up on YouTube. There are only 3 clipper guards on it which is why it only gets 4 stars. It would be better to have more – getting more costs at least an extra £30, making it overall very expensive. It seems whals more expensive clippers don’t come with sometimes any clipper guards at all so make sure you read full description. Overall it is a great clipper and would highly recommend. I have only used this once but it worked well. I bought it as a beard trimmer as I am fed up with buying beard trimmers that take multiple passes to get to the length required. I bought this because I had seen a handful of people recommend it for this reason. I used it without any attachments at its shortest setting. The stubble was very short, less than 1mm I would say, almost clean shaven but clearly with some growth. The cable power means it is clearly very powerful and did not slow down when going through my beard at all. The cable could do with being longer only because I want to use it in my bathroom and I have to plug in outside the bathroom with an extension lead. The beard came off very easily, no real need for a second pass even (although I did for completelness). Very pleased, and less than a quarter of the time i would normally spend with my Philips beard trimmer which was around 40.The clipper comes with the normal grade attachments from grade 1 upwards. This produces a cut of 3mm. A 1/2 grade is available to buy seperately which provides a cut of of 1.5mm I think, which is what my old bear trimmer was set to. However, without the attachment, I can adjust the cutting length – my first attempt was at its shortest, next time I will do its longest which I think could be around 1mm which is perfect for stubble look.The clipper is heavy, (but feels solid and of good quality), it seems very capable for my needs, and because it is a cable version (rather than battery) I think will last some years. (All my other beard trimmers have died because batteries have failed in the end, rather than the clippers themselves).Very happy with the purchase so far and I would recommend for beard/stubble trimmingdresco.f

The blade arrived crooked. I tried to put it straight multiple time but when doing a fade the blade moves. I cut my client the first day Ive used it in the shop. I thought it would be a problem that could be solved until I cut another client but that one was a walk in. I was giving my husband haircuts during the pandemic. He wants me to continue but, he told me he had seen the Barber Eliminator but was afraid if it didn't work he would have spent money for nothing. I told him Hammacher Schlemmer always will give a refund if we are not satisfied so he ordered one. He has used it twice. It works beautifully. Of course, he is 78 years old with a partially balding top of the head and longer sides. Using the eliminator on the top of his head was awesome. He was just a bit timid about using it on the back and sides so he put it to the highest setting. I watched as he moved it around his head.( I recommend that you have someone observe when you first start out.) The haircut was very nice. My husband's hair was a little longer than the man's hair in the HS photo but it still worked well. Works ok, would probably be better on hair that isn't as fine as my husband's. Expect next use will be better – the old saying "practice makes perfect" hopefully will apply. I had really great expectations for this since the Conair brand is one of my favorites! I had a home phone that looked just like this, so I was sure I'd love this as well. Pros: At first glance you see it has great potential. It's slender and the rubber non-slip grip is awesome and highly needed when you're clipping hair, so I was most excited about this alone. Then the cons came…. Cons: Maybe I got a bad/damaged item, but the on/off button is so difficult to switch to either/or function. It appears stuck and perhaps break off if I force it. I asked for help and their opinions and sure enough they were just as shocked on how they thought if they forced it, it would break easily. So, I'm not the only one! This is where I am very confused. I submitted a return order and I don'y know how the process works. I initially wanted to refund my item, then I changed my mind, thinking I'd love to give this another try. Overall, I am pretty happy with the Conair Combo Clipper haircut kit with detachable blades. I love the durable, stainless steel blades because they work really well and should last a long time. Both the hair clipper and the trimmer are yellow and black and seem very durable. The turbo feature is nice because it provides more cutting power. I like that hair clipper cuts all types of hair for any style desired. The trimmer works well for beards and moustaches, and it works great around the ears and the back of the neck, and for sideburns. The guide comb is really easy to use. I love the no-slip grip because it makes the hair clipper and the trimmer easier to hold and control. The size of the hair clipper and the trimmer are both large but can easily be held with one hand. I love that it comes with nine-guide combs in various sizes, barber scissors, five-position trimming comb, styling comb, barber cape, cleaning brush and oil, blade cover and storage pouch. I've been cutting my own hair for years. I generally just use a #1 or #2 guard all over. I've used this conair kit twice now with good results both times. I would say this is a decent entry level kit with all of the needed things for a good haircut. It has 7 different guard sizes and the left and right ear guard. I only use 2 of these. It includes a little cape, scissors, comb, brush for cleaning the clippers, and blade oil. It also has a small trimmer that runs on batteries (not included). The trimmer actually has a guard you can use with it as well, which is a nice touch that ive not seen before on a haircut kit. My overall impressions are good for this kit. The clippers are very lightweight compared to the previous Wahl brand I also have. They work well and don't get hung up in my hair at all. From my experience the better you take care of the clippers, the longer they will last. Make sure you clean them out after every use, and oil them, and any set of clippers will last much longer. The lifespan of any clipper, which is basically the most important tool of the kit is it's blades and motor. Take care of both of those and they will last longer. There are more expensive and better options out there, but I've had good results with this one so far. No issues at all. I'd recommend it.lexkyguy

Everything is good, saw some reviews that said you could get a used one that didn’t work… so I bought the insurance with it since it’s still like 70$ under Amazon. Got it and it felt like someone else had it but it was way too clean and everything was packed nicely. So definitely wasn’t a fake. If you’re like me when I was shopping buying for this low of a price is scary. But I will say you get what you pay for. The blade is the basic metal taper blade with the groves so don’t expect the graphite blade. Btw I purchased the fx870s (silver) for exact purchase if that matters to you (it does for me). It’s a good clipper and has a quality feel. The click lever with the notches is a favorite of mine right now since it helps you not get lost in the fade. I had bought two of these clippers and they were great , at first ! My gold one has no problems whatsoever , but the black ones , 2 weeks after purchase , were cutting off in mid cut and wouldnt turn back on! I thought they were dead , but they were fully charged and still do it. This company now wont fix or replace them! This isn't my first Wahl purchase so I can say with confidence this is NOT one of their better trimers. I bought it because I was looking for a cordless option. It felt bulky and slippery in my hands. I cut my husband and sons hair. I'm not petit so if I say Its bulky its not cuz I have small hands. The whole thing is also smooth so its not ergonomic to hold and once you turn it on and it starts buzzing it gets even worse to hold on too. It was very uncomfortable even for a 10 min haircut. I got this to replace my old trimmer. I have been cutting my own hair for over ten years and the old trimmer was having problems. This one is much more powerful and does the cut in a fraction of the time and with no "pull". Being cordless makes it much easier to use as well. I am very pleased with this product. I bought these as barbers are now closed due to Covid 19 & I normally get my hair cut every fortnight. My missus used them on me & shed used a pair before. She did a great job with them even managing to blend with the lever on the side. These are sharp clippers & cut through your hair no problem. Personally Id recommend buying these over cheaper Wahls if youre planning on using them long term. Id recommend the Legends as a good quality clipper that will last. This thing is a beast. I bought this to trim body hair. It's a professional grade tool, took me half the time. Wow. Pay attention, this thing is sharp with a very powerful motor. Only had one other pair of hair clippers and they were excellent, lasting nearly 17 years and used twiced weekly. Those clipprs were by Babyliss bought in a boot's chemist shop for jut £25. Having used the new Wahl Supertaper clippers they have the look and feel of quality. The don't have the cutting range that my Babyliss pair had but they do give a close even cut and are fine for me. My old clippers would take me down to skin and bone with the shorteset cut and is why I didn't used that setting. I would have liked a decent case to keep the clippers and accesories in safekeeping, in fact they came with no kind of case which was a bit disappointing. However, I can keep everything in the vinyl case that came with the old Babyliss clippers which still looks as new as it did all this years ago. If you want a completely bald look then the Supertaper won't give you that but for any other cut they will do the job very well. I would recommend these clipper.Noel a

Bevel is one of the best edgers I have used in my 25 years of being a professional barber. Until it wasn’t good anymore. Now to be fair I have only been using the black on black model pair of Bevels. I have had 2 pair so far. Both pair have broke down on me. I really believe it is a design flaw, because each time it broke, it did fell apart in the same position. I do not believe it is built to withstand long running use that a professional barber that cuts at least 30-40+ heads a week can do. The precision of the blade is incomparable, the quality of the equipment is horrible. The first pair I bought lasted 11 months. Luckily I was still under warranty and after going back and forth through email with several different representatives. I have the emails to prove it was at least 3 different reps I had to go through to get the issue of my warranty resolved. It took a little over a month to get through to Bevel that o bought me 1st pair online through their own website. Which is insane in itself, because you would think with technology the way it is…. Anyway, they send me another pair at the beginning of 2022. Well it is April 8, when I am writing this review, and the 2nd pair has broke down on me again. By far the best of the worst clipper I have ever purchased. With the price tag of $257.75, one would assume that there would be at least a 3 to 5 year use out of this product. This is a well thought out trimmer. While for me its use will be primarily for trimming my beard, sideburns, and mustache, it is a nice addition to my arsenal of hair cutting products. Please note that this trimmer does not come with attachment guards one might see in competitors’ products for shaping longer hair styles. For example, I use a one-inch attachment on my old trimmer to cut the hair on top of my head. Still, what this Bevel trimmer does, it does very well. The trimmer was designed to run on battery power alone, and a full charge of its lithium powered battery affords approximately 8 hours of use. As a comparison, one of my older trimmers offers just 2 hours when fully charged. And with the Bevel running 6k+ strokes per minute, it is darn powerful. Should you charge the trimmer and then leave on an extended trip, this unit can sustain its charge for up to 180 days. One unique feature of this trimmer is the ability to adjust to zero-gap simply by unsnapping the cutting head and spinning the scroll to the right (located on the underside). The more you spin to the right, the smaller the gap becomes. Bevel really did put a lot of thought into designing this trimmer. For example, if you’d prefer to hang the trimmer rather than laying it down after use, simply remove the battery (bottom of the unit) and fold out the hidden hook. Then, replace the battery. Easy as pie! The unit itself feels well balanced in my hand, allowing for a steady cut. The on/off switch is located at the bottom of the trimmer, so you won’t accidently turn the unit on or off by accidently pressing the power switch. Many trimmers have the power button/switch right in the middle of the unit where your hand sits. The cuts have been extremely consistent. With my older trimmers, I found myself often redoing an area due to inconsistent trimming. Not so with this trimmer. This unit arrived with a 60% charge, and to fully charge from this point is estimated to take around 2 hours. When it is time to recharge the trimmer, a White flashing led will appear indicating that you have less than 30 minutes before the trimmer shuts off. For me, this is a high-end trimmer. Ear plugs recommended due to flow-bee and vacuum noise. A bit heavy and bulky to use. Much time and work if you have long hair. Little slow with thick hair. Recommend for easy of use to wash and dry hair before using. Works great if you have short and thin hair. Saves on the cost of hair cuts after about 2 years depends on price of flow-bee and your hair cut provider charges. Seen a few different types almost looking the same. I purchased one in the early 90s, well built. I purchased another in 2020, CHEAP! It cost about 3 times as much as it did back then. The company is like most other companies now, all about profit. The materials are cheaper, the hose kinks easily, no elasticity. Even the power supply cord is cheap. Pretty sure it won't last. They even put it in a cheap box, barely fits in the box. As a guy who has been getting his hair cut in Beverly Hills for over 30 years there's a new barber in town and a change at the top, my top. Due to Covid-19 I could not see my hair stylist though he could come to my home but I did not want that. So I had to figure out another way to get a haircut. Well thank you Mr. Clooney! I never in my life would have ever thought about a Flowbee but Clooney mentioned it and I said what the heck. Goodbye Beverly Hills Hello Flowbee! It's fantastic! One of the closest cutting clippers I've ever owned. Didn't even have to use the zero gap tool, they cut super close right out of the box. I like them better than my Andis T-Outliners. Perfect for cutting bald heads. It came with the perfect gap for typical bald head cuts that black men get. I only gave it 4 Stars because the Andis Liners still works best for my coarse facial hair and the BaByliss do not come with guards. BaByliss cuts faster and is light weight compared to other liners I've used to cut my own hair. It used them on a recent Las Vegas vacation.Rick

I am not a barber but enjoy cutting my own hair especially during these trying times. It has been almost impossible to find a reliable outlining true zero-gap trimmer. None of the lower priced trimmers did the job. I finally decided to put my money where my mouth is. This is truly a top of the line trimmer. It looks nice, compact and well built, without a lot of the unnecessary bells and whistles. It just flat works. For those who desire sharper lines, it comes with a zero adjustment tool. I am okay with the results I got from the blade setting that came with the trimmer. It holds its charge during use with much to spare. Many professional barbers, and I, love this trimmer. Great trimmer, both looks and performance. I'd give it five stars but I'm disappointed with some of the attachments. I previously owned an HC 8017 trimmer for around 20 years! Loved it, blades finally got to dull to work well, could not get replacement blades, not available. The trimmer guide combs slid on the razor snugly and were very sturdy. Not so with this trimmer. The combs are cheaply made and the main one I use (1/8th inch) is so tiny, it feels like it will break every time you install or remove it. You must push quite hard then pull a tab over the back of the blade housing. When installing, it's very hard to line up the comb fingers so it will install correctly below the blades. I'm just going to ask, I would appreciate it if Remington would send me 2 complimentary 1/8th" combs to protect me in case of breakage!! I'm THAT afraid! PLEASE! The only other thing is the brush they provide for cleaning is way to small, trying not to be picky! I do really love the razor, powerful, quiet, smooth. It's the guide combs that are very low quality!Duder

Actually my husband loves his product it keeps his beard clean shaven and on point as he likes to make different great shapes of his hair. I personally do not use this as I do not have know how to use this type of electric razor but my husband loves it to death the price point was not expensive at all not like others.teresa.v
