This is a fun way to temporarily color your hair! I would say it’s more pink than rose gold. I have balayaged hair. Did a quick towel dry of my hair and applied it all over and left on for 3 minutes. It lasted pretty much one wash. After one wash, I still have color left, but I know that it’ll be gone by my next wash. I still have plenty of product left in the bottle, so I think it’s pretty cost effective, and a fun way to switch up your hair until your next wash day! (Pictured: my hair prior to use, hair after application (I cut my bangs in between the two haha), and my hair after one wash). As you can see, it was brightest where my hair was lightest and faded quite a bit after one wash. I would probably leave it in longer in the shower, but I would worry it would make the color even brighter.Emily
I bought this after watching a few YouTube videos that showed it really did work. I tried it 2 ways.. the first as directed and the second to clean completely dry hair I had fair results with both… The first time I just dampened my hair and applied the product, I found it really difficult to get complete coverage on the back of my head. The results were very good for where I actually got the color on. The next day with completely dry hair I was able to see where I missed and applied more to those areas. Then washed my hair. Here are my tips- 1) have someone to help you, it makes it much easier, if you don’t have a partner to help, separate your hair in lots of sections. 2) get a spray bottle of water to lightly dampen your hair. 3) Spray in from the bottom sections up, otherwise the top parts will be extra pink and the bottom and the back won’t be. 4) once your whole head is completely saturated let is soak in and then rinse out. My other tips- if it’s too pink just shampoo it again and let it rinse out really well.Nopeyitnope
This works well if you completely disregard the directions. Here's what I recommend: Shampoo hair, wait til completely dry. Take some headache medicine because the scent is very strong, and I'm not even sensitive to things like that. Put on dark clothing (the spray is VERY messy). Wrap your oldest, most stained towel around your shoulders. Spray your head, brush thru using a wide-tooth comb. Spray your head again. If you're not using at least half the can, you're not using enough. Brush thru again. Put on a shower cap. Wipe off your face, ears, neck, arms, counters, facuets, anything that the spray could have landed on. Wait around for as long as you can (I did 2 hours). Rinse in shower and condition as normal (but wipe down your shower afterward because this STAINS). Voila! A subtle pink tint! A lot of work, but I always wanted to know how I'd look with pink hair so I was fine with it.MadeInChicago

For a back story I am a natural sandy brown and my hair is in a mohawk currently. So I purchased the iroiro neon blue and first I did a bleach kit as I mention darker natural hair as I wanted to get the full effects of the neon. So bleached first then onto the color. I applied the color and left it on for 45 minutes so that i would get the bright vibrant blue i wanted. 45 minutes later i wash dye out under cold water as warm will fade it, didnt want that. However I have been dying hair for 20+years so I'm experienced and know what I'm doing. I am almost a week out and I literally look like I used one of the 1q 0 washes dye because I havent washed it yet but it looks as if I've pretty much combed it right out. This is by far the worst hairdye I have ever used. I've used numerous brands and numerous different colors and I will never purchase this brand again. Ive used multiple Iroiro colors by now (Plum, Pink, Yellow, and one of the blue colors) and I love them. The smell is FANTASTIC, my hair feels great, and the price is worth it. The pouches are so convenient and much easier than having to shake the last bits of dye in a squeeze bottle (aka Arctic Fox). Also the colors, especially pink, last a good while and fade nicely. This product worked wonderfully. I used L’Oreal colorista for brunettes to make a conditioner to put on my hair first. This is a true burgundy plum on medium brunettes. It came out so red I was impressed. Not that messy imo. My only regret is that this color looks better when I’m pale in winter. Can’t wait to tone it with a true violet. So far Amika violet toning drops are helping make it a bit less extreme. Great color payoff, environmentally friendly packaging, minimal damage. I bought this on a whim thinking it wouldn't work on my hair, but it works so well! I have light brown hair (the hair colour that happens when you have rlly blonde hair as a kid and then it turns light brown when you are older) and this colour stuck to my hair so well! It was a darker pink that looked so good! I've washed my hair about 6 times now and there is still colour in my hair that is quite visible. I'd definitely recommend this dye over any of the other pink ones for people with darker hair! I've tried the other light colourista one and manic panic and this one is 1000000x better! Just beware if you use it, it will stay in your hair for quite some time!Anna
Does it say semi-permanent? Yes. But… it’s going to add pigment to the hair, therefore some colors will last longer than others… as most greens/blues, those will often last the longest and be harder to remove especially from blonder hair. Purple seems to be the quickest to be washed out and completely gone. The denim blue one definitely lasted the longest and faded into a light green and was only removed after I dyed my hair pink (color cancellation, people) I’ve used this product and most colors very often, it’s not damaging on my hair and my hair is very damaged from bleaching and using heat. I highly recommend this as it’s easy to apply, cheap and usually has great results.Abigail M
Fantastic application color for the hot pink. I was doing this as a test to see if pink was going to look nice with my skin tone before purchasing manic panic…. Color look amazing the first couple of washes. Now, I have half of my hair a rose gold pastel and have still just as vibrant as the initial application. I'm not sure what happened here as this is not something I have experienced before. I was planning on taking temporary with a grain of salt since hair dye is not a one size fits all. I did bleach my hair before application, but that was an all over bleach. All in all, it isn't bad but nowhere near what I expected nor is it uniform. I was looking to freshen my level 7 color and level 9 highlights, both ash toned, and i thought I would give this a try. I used it according to the package directions, applying all over my hair and leaving it on for 25 minutes (direction say 20 to 35 minutes). There was no visible change to the level 7 color, but my highlights are now lavender and my scalp is straight up purple! I went back to Ulta for a scalp scrub and have washed my hair 6x to try to remove the color. Thankfully, the scalp color is now gone and enough color has been removed to allow me to return to work without lavender hair!Janet
For years I have experimented with different ways to keep my blonde fresh, brass free and have that just out of salon tone and finish without the damage. I have tried several things from sallys toner to demi permanent color, purple shampoos, toning masks, etc to do the trick but nothing worked or gave the results I was looking for without damage. This is amazing! No harsh smell at all and gentle on the hair. I leave on for the max time I believe was 20 mins and covered. My blonde looked so pretty, and fresh with the correct tone without the drying/excess damage for several weeks. I have long, fine, slightly wavy hair that takes to dye well. I normally use Wella Color Tango in 1NN (Black Licorice) along with a touch of Ion Color Brilliance 1NN (Intense Black, in liquid, just to thin out the mixture a tad) to color my greys, and it's amazing. The color is deep, shiny, and never brassy or drab. My natural color is black, and I'm about 75% grey now and the color never fades, ever-I only see new growth. Since I have such a large quantity of grey, and it's such a contrast to the black, I've been wanting to start blending in my greys so I could eventually go natural-I'm almost 51, so it's time to accept it. I started looking for a grey dye and I tried Ion Color Brilliance Creme in 6C-HM Light Charcoal, and added a bit more than usual of the liquid Ion Color Brilliance in 1NN. My bright silver greys turned an ugly drab brassy color that I've never experienced before. I'll be returning the rest of the Ion Light Charcoal tubes I bought, and I'm going to try the Dark Charcoal.
I used this product in shade 5N last week to cover up gray hairs and make my hair look more alive without paying salon prices. I bought it at Sally Beauty supply and mixed it myself with the Ion 20 volume developer. Brunette box dye can either turn out black or red on me so I was nervous but it turned out beautiful! The color is rich and was darker than what I wanted at first but after the first few washes, it lightened up a bit. It DOES pull a red, but it’s more of an auburn/copper color than a brassy orange so I personally think it’s okay for me. Overall, it was easy to use and my hair looks healthy and shiny!jessica.r
My hair was professionally highlighted twice when I decided to go back to my natural color. I wanted to match my grown out roots and cover the grey hair, too. Before applying the color, I used the ion pre-color treatment to prevent the previously bleached strands from soaking in too much pigment. I mixed the color & developer at a 1:2 ration and applied it only to the natural roots first. After 10 minutes, I applied the color to the rest of my hair leaving about an inch of the hair tips still dry. I let this sit for another 10 minutes. Finally, I added the color to the ends of my hair and left it for 10 minutes. In total, it took 30 minutes. The color came out absolutely perfect and completely even! I love how shiny, healthy, and soft my hair feels.

Loved the name and the colour! Was all for it! the colour was absolutely beautiful in the beginning, but be aware!! Your skin and nails will be stained for days/ weeks to come every time you wash your hair. I had to use gloves, each time I washed my hair, or else I would look like princess Fiona. Lol . Even just scratching my head, or washing in the shower, by back and neck was stained. I only wash my hair about twice a week, but it still faded so quickly, after about 2 weeks blond was showing through on top, and I just didn't want to go through the staining process again, so used shampoo and baking soda, to fade it out quicker. I applied this color to very very light blonde hair (bleached — see starter photo). I left it on for maybe 40 minutes and washed it out with warm water and applied a color sealing conditioner. The color washed away immediately — but it did tone my hair and make it very light! This was kind of pretty on its own. I tried again after a couple of days and this time I left the color on for about 4 hours. I applied it and put a bag on my head and just went about my day in my house. After washing it out with COLD water and applying the conditioner the color turned out beautifully! Not sure how it will work out with longevity but I love it!ambirbler
This dye worked exceptionally well, but almost a bit too much! For this color at least I think I used a bit too much for my hair (a little under half of the container), as it took 4-5 washes for it to run clear. The dye as well wound up staining my fingernails and shower quite a bit, which took some substantial cleaning to make sure it didn't stain too much. I'm extremely happy with the final results of the color itself, and very glad there was no issues with odor or stinging like traditional dyes, so I'll likely be purchasing again. I'd just recommend using gloves for when washing, not just application, and potentially use less dye than you think you need at the start!

I’m trying to grow out my highlights & “embrace the grey” but have a bit of fun with temporary colour while I do so. I bought this product after a lot of internet research. Did my patch test, this is a “natural” product, no ammonia, parabens etc so was hopeful. All ok & did a couple of strand tests too. Ready to go! PLEASE make sure you wear gloves, mask around your face, ears & neck with a barrier cream, rinse hair out over a sink or bath. DON’T shower it off over your body! You will look like a Smurf! I wanted to temporarily colour my hair for the start of the football (soccer) season. I left the blue on for about 2 and a half hours & the purple & pink for about an hour and a half. I wrapped my head in cling film in case it dripped, it’s a nice thick gel, so I don’t think it would but better safe that sorry. It smells fruity so no stinky head while you wait. I loved the result! My hair felt soft & moisturised, still does. I knew the blue wouldn’t last as long, red tones grip better, so after 2 weeks & 13 double shampoo washes, the blue has almost gone but the pink & purple is going strong. I still get purple hands while showering but no skin transfer so all good. I forgot to take a before so the first photo is after the strand test but you can kind of see my highlighted, grey & mousey “before” hair. Second & third photos are a day after colouring. Fourth & fifth is to show how the pink & purple have washed out & the blue is almost gone after a lot of washes. If you want a longer lasting semi permanent colour, I would highly recommend this product! Love this product!! Used for over 10 yrs now. Use Vaseline around ears and edges of face to keep stains off skin. Nail polish remover will do the rest. I have black hair and it will only show on porous strands such as bleached or blonde – otherwise it has no where to go and will stain things as it comes off. What I love is that it DOES stain which means as it fades out you still have color stained hair until it fades to a more pastel color. Keeps from having to do all the time. I use gloves to apply liberally. Smells delicious! I then wrap in a cap (plastic bag will work, too) and let it stay on as long as I can- note that this method almost blends into my black hair until a first couple washes. Also note that I would lay a towel over my pillow until the first couple washes. Also, note that I use a special towel for drying bc color will come off the wet hair. Also note that I don't wear white or swim until after the first couple of washes. It's a stronger look than a salon color and lasts a VERY long time. I’ve been using Punky Colors since they were originally called ‘Jerome Russell Punky Colours’. I am a professional hairstylist and I love these non-pro colors for solid colors. Cherry on Top is the perfect bright warm red. It’s bright, it’s true to shade, and there isn’t a hint of cold undertone. That’s why I prefer to use Cherry On Top paired up with the diluting clear to create my pastel pinks in warmer colors than the actual Pink Flamingo or Pastel line. It lasts longer and looks like bubblegum. Yes, this color bleeds. A lot. It is a high concentrate of pigment which helps it last longer on bleached hair and coat non-bleached hair. My suggestion to a lot of you is to get a black towel and black pillowcase so you won’t ruin anything! Always wear gloves. And just rinse it the best you can before adding any shampoo. Shampoo is what makes the color spread all over the tub and stain it. Even if you do stain the tub, most porcelain tubs it will wear off. Gifted by Kiss Colors and Care. I went in to coloring my hair with neutral expectations but was quickly very surprised at how well this worked out. This is a semi-permanent product meant to only be applied from 1/8 inch from your scalp down to the ends. Process is super easy and simple; apply on clean towel dried hair, process for 15 minutes and wash out. You can get this product all over you and it washes off as if it were water, leaving behind no color on your skin and only on your hair. I ended up applying most of the bottle as I did not know if applying a small amount would give me the desired effect. Formulated without ammonia, peroxide or sulfates this will be a go to for me. I applied on previously colored hair that had already begun to grow out so this product attached to my previously colored hair and not the roots. Has argan oil, olive oil, keratin, collagen and is made with aloe vera water. It has a light pleasant scent and does not irritate my scalp or skin. These colors are amazing, pretty and bright but didn't really worked for me. I think it's partially my fault though because my ends are a brassy color and that will obviously have a different outcome. I think letting this color fall and using toner to have less of a brass color and putting the dye then maybe the pink color will show up more. Right now, this product did dye my hair but not the color that was in the bottle, it turned orange lol (i used 2 bottles).Also, this dye has an amazing smell and lasts a long while too, my hair smelled really nice after showering. It seems like every time you change the style of the Box, the formula changes. I have been using natural instinct for well over 10 years and I really like it, but it's getting harder to find the right color to use. I just. I just used Light golden Brown and now my hair is the medium to dark Brown it was when I was a teenager! Normally I would just color my roots, my hair on top of my head was almost blonde because of the gray underneath. The color is Nutmeg, it’s one of the dark brown formulas. Very nourishing and easy to apply and spread through the hair. Im not used to the applicator bottle but surprisingly didn’t mind it. The smell isn’t too strong. I used almost the whole bottle, and I have thin/medium thick hair down to the middle of my back. Definitely buy two if you have long thick hair. Now, the color is darker than it said it would be. It’s borderline black or brown black, but I can tell it will fade nice. It doesn’t wash me out and I have pale skin with rosey undertones so I am thankful for that. I have been using this brand haircolor for years, trying different shades. I recently went through chemo therapy and lost all my hair. Since it’s grown back in its come in with a lot of grey. I have naturally medium brown hair. It is in excellent condition and thought I would color it with this new formula. So many reviews state the new formula is not as good as the old, I love the new formula. No burning on application, no hot roots, more even coverage. Many reviews also stated that the sheets are much darker than reflected on the box. For this reason I purchased suede light brown. It is so dark! Thankfully I don’t mind dark hair on myself. I used this for the first time this week. I really like the shade. The trick to getting a good application is to make sure you shampoo your hair before application so it’s damp and why residue/build up is gone, which can make the color not adhere to your hair. Remember, semi-permanent coats the surface of your hair, not the cuticle, so you want it as clean as possible. Using it on dry hair will give you a tint, but probably not the bright effect you were hoping for. Liked it so much, I got a few more shades of red and brown to try out.shannon.g
this stuff is AMAZING!! So I have been on the grey silver hair trend (well trying to get there at least) lol and the stuff is a lifesaver! I couldn't get the darn brass out of my hair and it was driving me crazy! tried almost everything! My last option was toning but after all the bleaching I didn't want to use chemicals… this saved my life and turned my pale yellow to a beautiful silver after one wash with a little bit in my shampoo! then I shadow tried with it full strength! no brass slightly profile like I wanted (only in the sun and thats because I left it on as little longer to achieve the purple silver look). I also used it on my son because w bleached his mohawk twice but was still orange like really orange! one freaking wash with a purple shampoo I made with this (a little stronger than the one I made for my hair since his was so orange) and we got a beautiful silver!! I'm 1 wash!! no more expensive purple shampoo for me baby! I got one bottle and have made 3 batches of purple shampoo, shadow ripped my hair fill strength 4 times and still have over half a bottle left! I used this to colour the blonde as my regrowth came through and trust me it looks better then having half blonde half black hair. Mixed this with the sapphire and got a beautiful blue. This is the FIRST (and really ONLY)hair color that I've used that isn't entirely gone and faded in a couple weeks. The irony is that when it's time to move onto a different color or I want to change it up, I have no issues getting it out! Let's be honest, everything about hair color is a pain in the neck. It grows out, takes time, may get patchy, can be damaging, and the list goes on. This product, is also a bit of a pain, but it is by far the lesser of all coloring evils. It works wonders in extending time between coloring at home/appointments. Its water resistant, doesn't rub off on pillows, and works. PROS: * Effective at covering gray * Doesn't run or rub off on items (though you simply MUST wait until it fully dries * A little goes a long way * Its water resistance (never rain on me as I ran through ran or after a workout) CONS: * Dries a bit stiff, but you can break up the stiffness a bit (once dry!) * Dries a bit matte, but that can be rectified with a light spray of hairspray (once dry!) * Not super precise (I use a powder around my ears and hairline at temple) Net – its not perfect, but I do like what it does. #freesample from #trywithtopbox. I received this as a sample for an honest review. There were quite a few grey hairs starting to pop up and become more visible. I tried different product but they either thinned my hair a lot or caused a bit of a reaction plus the wait time after putting on the product was a big hassle. I have noticed that with this, I can quickly do the root-touchup and be on my way out the door. This touch-up will last me a while and wont make my hair greasy, oily or just in general dull. I have never been a fan of the coloring/dying to hide the greys but this product has made me change my mindset. I now love doing a quick touch-up and others can not tell the difference. I received the Root touch up spray for dark brown hair by TRESemmé for free product from Topbox in exchange for an honest review. I have tried a lot of Root touch up sprays in the past because I have a lot of greys, and this spray is definitely my favorite one so far. I love it! Really easy and convenient to use. I love the precision of the spray, it sprays evenly. It dries fast, no patch or stained head. It blended perfectly and cover everything. It let the hair a little dry, but I do not mind the texture when my grey is all gone. In my opinion, It doesn’t look fake, it looks natural and fresh. For a back story I am a natural sandy brown and my hair is in a mohawk currently. So I purchased the iroiro neon blue and first I did a bleach kit as I mention darker natural hair as I wanted to get the full effects of the neon. So bleached first then onto the color. I applied the color and left it on for 45 minutes so that i would get the bright vibrant blue i wanted. 45 minutes later i wash dye out under cold water as warm will fade it, didnt want that. However I have been dying hair for 20+years so I'm experienced and know what I'm doing. I am almost a week out and I literally look like I used one of the 1q 0 washes dye because I havent washed it yet but it looks as if I've pretty much combed it right out. This is by far the worst hairdye I have ever used. I've used numerous brands and numerous different colors and I will never purchase this brand again. Ive used multiple Iroiro colors by now (Plum, Pink, Yellow, and one of the blue colors) and I love them. The smell is FANTASTIC, my hair feels great, and the price is worth it. The pouches are so convenient and much easier than having to shake the last bits of dye in a squeeze bottle (aka Arctic Fox). Also the colors, especially pink, last a good while and fade nicely. I just used a mix of plum, pink and yellow on dyed brown hair for a nice color tiny and it looks beautiful in the sun. Definitely recommend. Also cruelty free and thats always important!rebekah.a
This product worked wonderfully. I used L’Oreal colorista for brunettes to make a conditioner to put on my hair first. This is a true burgundy plum on medium brunettes. It came out so red I was impressed. Not that messy imo. My only regret is that this color looks better when I’m pale in winter. Can’t wait to tone it with a true violet. So far Amika violet toning drops are helping make it a bit less extreme. Great color payoff, environmentally friendly packaging, minimal damage. I did not put conditioner underneath to open my cuticle for scalp oil. Great technique for oily scalps. Love. Bought this from Sally’s it was affordable. Easy to stretch too.sheri .h

I have to start by saying that I'm not sure this grey colour is a fair representation of my view of this entire line as I liked the pink and purple shade in the same range, but the grey colour didn't show up at all in my hair. I have really light blonde hair so that's not the problem, but the colour is just too sheer and disappears when I apply it. Wouldn't recommend this shade in particular. The rest of the review consists of my general thoughts on the hair makeup range. A fun product that lets you play with colour in your hair without the commitment! Perfect for festivals and other occasions where you would want to have fun with different hair colours. You could create the most amazing unicorn hair if you bought a few different shades! Make sure you wash your hands between each colour as the colour does stick to your fingers a bit and it could turn a bit muddy if several colours were mixed. Easy to put on and comes out easily in one wash. You have to use quite a bit of product so I guess the little tube won't last too long, and don't even think about using this for an all over colour, there's no chance that would work as it's quite hard to make the application even. It didn't transfer onto my clothes or my pillow case. You can feel the product in your hair, but it's not anywhere near as bad as those hair chalks that were popular a few years ago.Linn
I was so excited when I first heard about the Colorista hair Makeup and it did not disappoint. Makeup for your hair, it is indeed! Like eyeshadow, it's just as easy to apply and remove. I applied and blended some of the beautiful rose gold pink formula to a couple of strands of my hair with ease and allowed the formula to dry naturally. The colorista hair makeup instantly gave my hair a new lease of life! The newly gorgeous, pastel, rose gold coloured strands of my hair looked so cute, vibrant and chic! The rose gold complimented my dark blonde hair beautifully and this is probably my favourite colour out of the collection so far! I was also pleased to find that when dried the formula did not transfer and it also felt really soft upon my hair. I have wanted to experiment with different coloured additions to my hair as I think they can add definition and character to blonde hair, although I have always been reluctant to as I do not want to apply a coloured hair dye that I would be stuck with wearing for a few weeks. I like to change my makeup colour shades and accessories from day to day and with the new Colorista hair makeup I can now do so with my hair too! Working in an environment where different colour hair dye is not permitted, I needn't worry about adding a bit of fun colour to my hair on the weekend as the colour from the hair makeup faded when I washed it with shampoo. I have 2b/2c wavy hair and it's pretty thick and dark brown. I got blonde balayage like 2 months ago. Anyways I bought the indigo color and the color was super dark purple at first. The more i've washed it the color has transformed to blue. It's been 3 weeks and i've washed my hair probably 10 times and it's still like bright blue 😂 I've never had hair color last this long so it's definitely great for the summer if you wanna try some funky hair! The smell was perfumey but that doesn't bother me, I enjoyed it. The coloring kept my hair soft as well! The application was easy. Overall great product!AudJohnson

Color came our amazing exactly how I wanted only downfall is it did wash out quickly I even waited 72 hours before I washed my hair due to the recommendation of letting the color sit and not wash as much. I am an everyday hair washer due to how oily my hair is. After the 72hrs I washed hair every 48 to 72 hrs still color was fading everytime after 4 to 5 washes color is noticeably different. Used this color with 30 developer I wish they would make the color last especially since it's supposed to be permanent but the color was awesome while it lasted.erica.m
I have used Ions dyes many times, and they are consistent only in the fact that they never color properly. The rose pink lasted a single wash. The shamrock green left only the faintest green stain on my lightest hair. The sapphire blue left me with an even green. And now, after using a PERMANENT dye with DEVELOPER on my WHITE HAIR, I am left with no color at all and a lighter wallet. The result seems crazy due to how badly it burned while I let it sit under foil for 45 minutes. This is definitely my last straw with Ion products, and I can say with confidence that I will never bother trying with them again. They're a waste of time and money, ESPECIALLY this particular color. I will admit that the colors are all fairly cheap, so you do get what you pay for.
I like this product very much. To get this color I bleached my hair to a level 9 and then dyed my hair mixing this with a volume 30 cream peroxide all from the same brand. This one is in a cream consistency. Besides the fact that I like this color I also prefer this brand over others I've tried because in my opinion this brand smells less chemically intoxicating "I actually find the products kind of have a sligh parfum scent" plus I've also experienced less damaging with constant use. Tip……It also mixes very well with my conditioners "I prepared a mixture of conditioner and the tint to maintain the freshness of the hair color and used it every time I washed my hair after shampooing" just be aware that this is pigmented and it will get messy in the bathtub if not careful.xiomara.v

There’s a lot of bad reviews on this product, but I decided to try it anyway. At first when putting the blue hair wax on, for some reason it appeared green. I don’t know if it’s because my hair was damp (on the jar it says apply to damp or dry hair but not completely wet), but as my hair dried the blue came out more and I actually really liked the look! It does get on you even after drying. I tested throughout the day touching my hair and even when dry, if I pressed against my hair hard enough or scratched my head it got on my fingers. But honestly it wasn’t much and nothing I couldn’t easily wipe off. I prefer As I Am compared to the other brand target offers, named Curls Unleashed. I bought one of theirs too because the As I Am was out of purple in my target, but the problem with that one is it leaves your hair SUPER hard and crunchy. You have to apply a certain amount to get that color you want to be seen and it felt like I dipped my head in a bunch of mousse or hair gel. On top of that it made my head super itchy. Was not a good feel, even though the color came out great. As I Am’s hair wax actually left my hair soft, so I think I’ll stick to theirs. I feel this isn’t a product for people to confuse with hair dye. Don’t leave it in for more than a day. It’s more of a wear outside for the day, wash out after kind of deal. Think of it like hair color spray but actually way better for the hair when it comes to application. I’ll continue buying. While I did not get this exact shade, the one that I got (Copper) really impressed me. THE APPLICATION: -Pro: If you apply it on damp hair (not wet), it’s not messy. Think of it as your butter after you’ve washed your hair. If it transfer to your clothes, easy to wash off —Con: If you’re getting ready to go somewhere and you’re undoing your braids, while putting clothes on or during take down it transfers to your hands and clothes. THE REULT: -Pro: it looks so real, I convinced a few people that it was a permanent dye. The pigmentation was accurate. I did not need to bleach my dark brown hair. A little went a long way. – Con: it left my hair feeling dry and could not moisturize without engaging in a messy process. THE MAINTENANCE: —Pro: It did not transfer or flake (at least not as much as I was expecting it to, being a temporary dye and all). I love As I Am & use almost all of their products . From curling jelly’s , to sprays , oils and of course the color cream wax . I was in love when i found this wax . I originally only tried the red , but when i found out they had more colors i decided to explore ! I purchased blue , green , purple , gold & more red . I have very blonde hair and when trying the red it washed out with no issues so i wasn’t nervous to try the other colors . It took me a while to actually get around to trying the other colors because i loved the red so much lol but now i sorta wish i didn’t explore . I had a few off days and was going out of town for a festival so i wanted to switch things up so started with the blue and the color was amazing so i decided to do half blue & half green . It was an amazing color duo and it was vibrant for the few days that i had it on for but then…. After a few days of wear ( like normal ) i was scheduled back to work so i went to wash the colors out of my bright blonde hair and to my surprise after getting out of the shower and passing the closest mirror my hair was still half green and half blue . IT HAD STAINED PERMANENTLY . It had faded a good bit from its bright tone but it had stained nonetheless. I obviously freaked out and rushed back to try and scrub it out-with multiple rounds of shampooing and no success . When doing my research beforehand i saw plenty of blondes using the product so i didn’t think there would be an issue . I’m not sure if this product is not made for blondes or if it was to much for my hair but i ended up having to dye my hair black only because i couldn’t get it re bleached at the time . I’m not sure how the red was perfectly okay but the green and blue weren’t ? Not sure if the formulas are exactly the same or what ? The waxes are amazing but beware the risk of keeping the color incase it doesn’t wash out . ( Ps . I&ve used manic panic before with my son&s hair but wanted longer wear and less off hue fading for mine when i decided to do a blue ombre. I had first tried a number of "permanent" hair dyes and even went to a salon and it faded to green in a matter of weeks. Got the blue velvet and celestial blue to do a multi-hued look. Came out great and was very easy to use. Stain cleanup was simple with rubbing alcohol. Three weeks in my color was still super bright and hadn&t faded a bit. The celestial made almost a teal color and the blue velvet came out a beautiful royal blue, but i wanted more of a navy look so i tinkered a bit with it. I hadn&t ordered the smoke color, so i mixed a little professional black dye, blue velvet and developer and made a quick &wash& that i left on for about 5 min and it darkened it up perfectly! I have been suggesting it to anyone and everyone. Cannot like this product more. Wish i could add pictures to this to show how pretty the tone is. The color was no where near as bright as it was supposed to be. The color runs super bad when it gets wet. I suggest not going out in rain or you will have ruined shirts. Also make sure if you go to bed with wet hair that you use an old pillowcase or that too will be ruined. I made that mistake. My towels are also stained. This was the worst color ever! I used this color along with a few other to create peacock hair. It was amazing. I had to bleach nearly all of the color out of my hair to get a true blue but it was beautiful. Manic Panic is very easy to use, won't damage your hair, and doesn't have any strong chemical smell. It WILL absolutely stain your bathtub and anything else it touches. This pink is NOT pastel any sense of the word! If this is pastel then I’m madonna ( I’m not). I had bleached out my my hair till level 10 was super excited To use this as I’ve had my hair every color of the rainbow and pastel pink is one of my favorites. I Checked my hair in about 10 minutes since it was so Highly pigmented. The dye did appear dark out of the bottle but that happens often and it doesn’t mean it’s the final color so I wasn’t really concerned. When I checked my hair 10 minutes in it was bright pink and when I say bright I’m talking about neon signs a blazing bright! Now I have nothing against neon pink hair it just doesn’t look right with my skin tone and it’s not the color I was going for. I honestly would not recommend this to anyone if they are looking for a pastel pink or even a light pink… a true pink …:magenta pink. The only time I would tell someone to go ahead and use this is if they want neon pink bright neon pink it does not wash out of your hair anytime soon. It does say 5 to 30 washes but let’s put it this way I ended up having to bleach my hair out again to get it out . All the people complaining in the comments either are too impatient or have no skill at all. I suck at dying my hair but it took little effort to dye my whole hair. Not to mention I am latina! I have the thickest hair you have ever seen ! This thing is ammmazimg. I have tried other brands and they never washed off and ended up leaving the color on my hair for months. This is affordable and works if you want something temporary or like to change colors all the time without damaging it. This brand has never dried my hair out btw. The best thing about this is a little goes a long way & it is highly pigmanted. When I had hair up to my lower wings it was able to cover all of it. You just have to be patient! I like to keep my hair a pretty shade of light purple/lilac. While I was shopping at Walmart, I saw a few bottles of . on sale. My hair had been looking pretty blah lately, so I decided to try it out. I liked the fact that it was a "PASTEL" shade of purple, cruelty free vegan, and also was super strong and took as little as 10 minutes to fully develop. I brushed it onto the bottom half of my hair, which had been previously bleached numerous times in the past. I left it on for just over 2 hours, which I normally do with semi-permanent dyes like this (dyes like Manic Panic I leave on for even longer and blow dry for best results!). When I saw the color of the dye itself, I was SO excited! It was SUCH a beautiful shade of purple! Not dark, or harsh in any way, but it reminded me of cupcakes or sprinkles. What I got was a whole other story! My hair turned out SO dark! I only left the dye on so long to deposit the color, I never thought it would turn such a deep, dark, totally random color. I'm so disappointed in it, but everyone else thinks that it's the right color and I get a lot of compliments. I've washed it once so far and while it has lightened drastically, it hasn't lightened to a pastel anything, it's just a faded version of the super dark purple. I can't complain about it too much though, because it was a random purchase, and I only paid $3 a bottle and it only took 2 bottles. When using this you have to be super careful, because it stains everything around you quickly and permanently! It stains things much worse than other dyes like it that I have used. I also don't think they should necessarily call it a "pastel" purple, because straight out of the tube it is a much more brighter, more vivid purple than a pastel, and the color it made my hair is nowhere near a pastel. I would probably only recommend this dye to people who don't expect their dye to last a long time or change their hair color a lot, or it could be maybe good for someone dying their children's hair because it seems like it washes out pretty easily.
