I use this on my hair when it’s damp/wet to help keep it smooth. I have a LOT of very long, very straight hair of medium thickness. I use two pumps and apply from my ears down and work it through my hair. I air dry my hair but when I occasionally blow dry it, this works just as well. I don’t apply it to my roots. It smells amazing, high praise coming from me as I’m sensitive to scents! It’s fruity and a bit sweet, but not overpowering once my hair dries. My husband also uses it on his crazy thick, curly hair and it helps tame some of his frizz, but not all (I don’t think anything can tame his hair!). I bought this cuz I saw all the good reviews about it. I’ve had several different serums at home but when I tried this for the first time, I’m in love. Not only is it lightweight, but the scent smells awesome too! The quality is good, it made my hair soft and tangle-free. Hair is so much smoother, silkier and no frizz at all. Doesn’t make my hair oily too. I attached a pic of my hair after using this serum however, I would like to point out that in order to achieve what I’ve shown in the pic, you can’t just rely on one product. I did use garnier anti-humidity leave-in conditioner on damp hair before using my heat protectant to blow dry. Right after that I applied this serum and then DAvines OI Oil as a finishing (another great product). The serum itself is good, I only used it from mid lengths to ends. The packaging size tho, it’s quite small. BUT! Only 2 small pumps is enough for my hair (I’m southeast asian and my hair length is below my chest, it’s medium thick) so a little goes a long way! If you have thicker hair, you need to section your hair to a few parts, I only sectioned to 2 because it’s not that thick. Okay this is the best stuff ever. I have fine, wavy to curly hair. My hair is EASILY weighed down, and let me tell you, this product delivers. This is NOT an oil. Like how hyaluronic acid or niacinamide supports a moisturizer, this serum supports your conditioners or leave in moisturizers while helping smooth, shine, and protect. Unlike facial serums, this one goes on AFTER the moisturizing products to lock in the goodness. It strengthens your hair and allows for better style retention, as well as influencing your natural texture to take center stage in all its glory! This is a water gel like texture, it’s fast drying, but with no tacky ness or a residual texture of its own. It’s completely absorbed unless you use too much. If you use too much it will pull humidity from the air, making your hair feel like you just were in a sauna for 30 mins until it dries again. Use less than a full pump for medium hair, even less for fine hair. It’s styling benefits are definitely refreshed by scrunching with water! Next day this a huge time saver for me after sleeping on my hair. How I used it: After washing my hair I applied a pea size of number 6 Bond smoother, and BRUSHED it through upside down. I have textured, difficult, wildly frizzy 2b/3a curls/waves. They are not uniform so my hair sticks out in all directions and looks REALLY dry. Half my hair still has bleach damage from when I was platinum blonde. Basically, any hair product really has its work cut out for it! I found this serum to be VERY calming and nourishing, and it made my hair feel silky and soft, which is NOT easy to do. I have medium thickness, medium density hair that's an inch or two past my shoulders, and a full pump was too much – I ended up having to re-wash my hair. You really only need a little, applied to the bottom half of your hair. For me, half a pump distributed between both hands and applied with the praying-hands method was perfect. The product will last you a long time! Anyway, it took on my difficult locks and won! For this reason I wonder if it might be too much for people who have fine, healthy hair that's straight or only slightly wavy. This product does exactly what I hoped it would – and what 4 other products I ordered could not. When I finish drying my hair with a dryer brush, the ends are frizzed out and separated and I want them to "stick" back together into messy waves. Unfortunately, this product smells terrible. This product works really well. Extra body and does not leave the roots dull or greasy looking. BUT… the spray top let's out WAY TOO MUCH at once! Seriously, one depression of the spray top emitted enough fluid to do a quarter of my head. Given that this is an expensive product, it would be nice to use it sparingly. I love this product. I feel like it really enhances by waves and makes my hair smooth and shiny. On its own, it doesn't have great hold or lasting power, but it works really well with other products, like gels, and works really well as a refreshing product when it's diluted with some water. This product was received as an incentive from Influenster for my honest review. WOW. I was not expecting to like this as much as I do! I’ve been using this product for a couple weeks now and it has already done wonders for my hair. I naturally have very coarse, thick, dry hair and use a litany of oils and deep conditioners to keep my hair maintained. I feel like using this product consistently may alleviate that. This oil is on the thicker side, (which helps weigh down my thick hair- in a good way) and initially smells fruity / clean but somehow dries down to a more masculine clean scent (which I prefer for my hair). I have dry, bleach dyed blonde hair and the humidity makes my hair so frizzy and tangled. It has a natural smell that didn’t bother me and the texture wasn’t too thick, thin, or oily. This hair serum instantly smoothed and tamed my hair after application. A little goes a long way so I didn’t have to use a lot of product to get great results. It felt super lightweight and it didn’t weigh my hair down even after spending a day outside in the Florida heat. I would definitely recommend this product if you want sleek, shiny hair that lasts. I think I found another go to product to help tame this mane. I loved the frizz-free results that stopped frizz at my hairline without making my hair greasy (AMAZEBALLS), but whew, the smell is awful. Luckily the smell goes away after thirty minutes or so. I have medium thick 2B wavy/ curly frizzy hair and I have one heck of a time trying to get my hair under control. I used this, in combination with the Dyson Airwrap, Verb Ghost oil (for shine), Verb Ghost hairspray (for hold), and IGK Good Behavior Smoothing Balm. I was pretty impressed by the results. For an amateur it was an easy at home blow out, and my results have held for 3 days without my hair looking greasy or wild. If you are on the fence I would say try it if you can get past the smell for the amazing results. I have been a huge fan of It's a 10 products for quite some time now. I like to apply this when my hair is still damp and find that it gives my hair added softness and manageability. It's a bit pricey, however a small amount goes a long way! I'm an especially huge fan after the process I've recently put my hair through. I've bleached it twice, used a toner, then spontaneously decided to color it again in a very romantic light pink color. My hair soaks this product up, and still feels soft and touchable! I have thick, long, naturally wavy hair that I blow dry to smooth it out, otherwise it's really poofy. This does help with that. I saw another reviewer say that it has silicones that can cause buildup. Just like with many other products like this, YOU NEED TO USE A CLARIFYING SHAMPOO at least once a week or whenever you feel you need it.Angela

I am a big styling serum user and am always looking for products to use with my very unruly kinky frizzy curly blonde locks. I had an open mind when using and had enough product to try it out for almost a week! I liked the texture the consistency and oh that smell! However when it came to application and the styling was it just fell short for my hair type. I found that warming up the product between my palms helps a lot for my hair to absorb the product. But once I blew out or styled my hair it always felt like I needed to rewash it. I could not get the national bounce nor did it help to define my curls at all. I’m super bummed because I really liked the fresh scent and ease of the pump. Well hopefully I will be able to try different products from @Its A 10 in the future. This was the first straightening product anyone ever used on my hair when I was about 10 or 11 years old. I had completely forgotten about it until I saw it again in a magazine recently and I decided to purchase it again instead of repurchasing a hair oil that I had been using that I had a suspicion was making my scalp super enflamed due to a bad reaction from the overbearing scent of the other product. I’m so glad I went back to this John Frieda product. It worked just as well as I remembered, if not better. The serum was light and not too greasy – much less oily than the other product, and a little went a long way. In fact, ever since going back to this product, my hair has remained as flat and straight as I’ve wanted it to be without volume unless I’ve pointedly styled it in curls. I bought Frizz Ease extra strength thinking it would tame the frizz I have. No, it does not. I washed my hair as usual and followed the instructions on the bottle of Frizz Ease. My initial impression was shock over how sticky it made my wet hair feel. Moved on to blow drying my hair (I have a Dyson AirWrap) after applying a blow dry leave in. Post blow dry it is still so sticky I am unable to run my fingers through my hair, my hair is MORE frizzy than usual and my ends feel crispy and fried. I haven't ever had crispy dry hair using the AirWrap with any other products, my hair has never felt sticky and I have always been able to run my fingers through my hair. I will be returning this and sticking with Argan oil which does a MUCH better job at smoothing frizz and doesn't leave my hair sticky or dried out.Tammy

I am a 60-year-old Caucasian woman who has had curly, dry hair all of my life and a few years ago my hairdresser, a good friend of mine, introduced me to J Beverly Hills Crazy Curl and I haven't used anything else since! I use it when my hair is damp or dry and it tightens my curls perfectly so they are not fly-away. It is a thick, sticky lotion but does not dry on your hair that way or leave it dry and dull. It doesn't take a lot of this product to work well so a bottle lasts a long time for me. I can never use a hair dryer because my hair gets frizzy and unmanageable if I do. I LOVE this serum and highly recommend it to anyone with curly, unruly hair! I am SO glad I found it available on this website because I can't get it anywhere else in my area…..

After much research for a product that would keep the static out of my hair in the harsh winter climate, I settled on this product. It got great reviews and seemed to be what I was looking for (a leave-in product that could be used on damp or dry hair). I was excited to use it so I tried to apply it onto my towel dried hair the first day. I was immediately hit by the very strong perfume-like smell of the product. I thought maybe I could get over that if the product worked. I went ahead and dried my hair and styled it. The second I put my coat on, STATIC everywhere! I thought maybe I should give the product the benefit of the doubt and try it on dry hair instead the next day. So, after blow drying my hair on day 2, I applied the product as directed. Once again, the strong perfume-like smell was overwhelming. Hoping for the best I put my coat on again and the static reappeared. On the 3rd day of using this product, I applied it on towel dried hair first, then on blow dried hair as well. I really thought this would work, but it didn't. STATIC again. It makes my hair feel softer (not a crazy difference, but a subtle difference and I'll take it), it does make my hair a tiny bit shinier, but not too shiny. Overall, I really love that it is pretty lightweight and smooth in application. I also air-dry my hair and sometimes air drying makes hair products dry in a greasy looking way. Mine came with a scratch on the packaging that caused the label to peel a bit. It bugged me but I thought no big deal, things happen in shipping and processing. But then I tried it… It smells very strongly of old lady perfume and it sticks in the hair until you wash it. I know smells are a very individualized thing, but I'm normally not very picky and love a variety of scents. It made my hair feel very dry used by itself or even used over a product that normally leaves my hair very soft. My hair doesn't tangle easily but this stuff made it so it did. I will be trying to return it along with the super pink and super red colors I bought. I can't trust the dye if the hair product was that bad. I have seen many negative reviews of this product and I'm truly surprised. I received a bottle free to provide my honest opinion of the product. My daughter (21) and I have used this for a month now, and we LOVE it. A little goes a long way. Just a small amount on the lengths of the hair, not in the scalp or near the scalp provides the best results. Brush the product thru your hair well and leave it until the next morning We have tried it multiple ways and this works the Best. If you use too much or get it on the top of your head it will make your hair look greasy. We had no problems with the smell, it is pleasant. My hair is dry, curly and frizzes easily and what I noticed is even on a humid day, my friziziness was improved 65%. That's a huge win to me! My hair is softer, shinier, no bed head tangles with mid length hair. My daughter has the same hair issues as I do but two cowlicks right in the front of her head that drive her nuts and hair down to her rear. She saw an improvement in manageability, 70% improvement in frizz, nice shine and easy to brush in the morning. I recommend this product highly, the key is not using to much!! This product is amazing! First and foremost, it smells heavenly! To be honest, that's the reason I first starting using it, because it made my hair smell great.
