First, I purchased this with my own $$ after seeing an article from The Kit so I was not paid or sponsored for this review! I just want to help my people find hair products that work b/c it’s hard to find!!! I have shoulder length relaxed hair with 3inches of curly new growth and I’ve been struggling to find a solution that allows me to moisturize and smooth my new growth while not weighing down my relaxed hair and CHILE, I found her! This serum is magical- I used JVN pre-poo oil(GAME CHANGER), then a full Olaplex treatment(no 0 for 1hr, then no 3 for 1hr, followed by 4+5) then I used a bean sized amount of this serum, mixed with a bean sized amount of Olaplex no6 and a pea sized amount of Pattern by TER leave in conditioner on wet hair. I use the LCO method, which I find is better for relaxed hair than the LOC method, so I layered a little Pattern Jojoba oil, Olaplex 7 and a smidge of castor oil on my roots and ends. It’s been a week and usually by now, my hair is dry, limp and crazy, but this serum has my hair bouncing and behaving!! It’s light, my hair is snatched and blends with my weave like I’ve never had before! Usually I have to moisturize like crazy and my hair gets weighed down and greasy before my wash day, but this serum is all the product I’ve used on my leave out all well and it’s rich hunny! I received a complimentary product from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I am always happy to try a new serum for my curly 3B/C hair. This stuff is liquid gold. It smells good, has a nice weight to it, but isn’t greasy or sticky. The texture is smooth and silky, spreads easily, absorbs quickly into my hair. I suspect most people probably don’t need a lot, a pump or two would suffice. Today I used it with the shampoo and conditioner from the set. The shampoo and conditioner make my hair super silky and soft and this serum provided moisture and heat protection. I have zero frizz! Today I used my hair dryer with a diffuser attachment and wow, my curls got super springy. It’s been about eight hours since I washed my hair and applied the product. My curls are intact, silky soft, smooth and defined. I used about 3 pumps worth which is probably a lot but I have a lot of hair and need a large quantity of product. So it’s a very convenient size bottle only 3 ounces very bright yellow color and absolutely marvelous scent of flowers that is not overwhelming and very clean and pleasant. There’s a little cover over the pump that’s transparent, the bottle is transparent as well and the pump is very convenient and only gives you the amount that you need per each pump action. It’s very liquidy and oily but the serum is nice and smooth and silky and it works pretty well especially on damp hair but I would actually suggest using it on dry hair so you don’t overuse it because it is oil or oily and you don’t want to have that much oil in your hair because it’s going to get dirty/greasy pretty quickly then. it did also help with the flyaways and keep it from becoming frizzy. I think it’s a very good product and I will continue to use it because it works and I really like the scent and I really like that it’s not such a big bottle that I could bring it with me in my purse and I love the little cover for the pump so even if it spills it won’t actually leak. I will recommend this product and the line because it’s high quality, luxurious appealing and almost substitutes for a slight body mist or perfume that smells like beautiful smelling flowers which reminds me of wisteria. This line is great for very dry hair. I especially like it for use after I have been on a heat styling binge. It’s definitely a heavier, thicker shampoo and conditioner. I have coarse, dry hair, but it gets weighed down easily, as well. I prefer to use this line when I am providing a “deep conditioning” treatment to myself. The serum is excellent in small amounts, and takes frizz. I would not recommend using the serum and the cream together. Serum is good for days I want to flat iron and smooth. The cream is better for days I’m allowing hair to air dry. The cream is a bit heavy for my liking. Not that it affects the product’s performance, but I am a huge scent person – the wish this line (and all of the Biolage lines) had a more appealing fragrance (they don’t smell badly, just reminds me of regular bar soap I guess). I recurved this product free for testing through Influencer, to provide my honest opinion. I have fine, thinning… and I mean thinning, genetic hair loss! I was my hair every other day and applied this in the schedule. That I have also colored with stylists over the past 5 years. This product was sent several months before the launch packaging is beautiful, I'm a sucker for good packaging. It is slightly fragment, I personally enjoyed the smell, slightly herbal. I was interested in the southing properties as I tend to have a dry and itchy scalp during the cold New England winters. The Ouai serum did help with that tremendously, very little itch, irritation or flakiness, like previous years. I did notice most days I used it that my hair appeared a bit fuller, especially if I styled with hear tools. I don't know if it helped my hair grow or perfect shedding necessarily which is why I docked one star. I would decently recommend for those with itchy it irritated scalps, or those looking for a boost if fullness, I think it's the ingredients lifting your hair, again not that I saw hair growth but I feel like my hair felt healthier. QUAI SCALP SERUM I like this serum because it’s completely vegan, cruelty free, gluten free, paraben free and phathalate free, SLS & SLES free. I smells nice and not greasy like one might think. Best of all, easy to apply. The container contains a very nice dropper. The presentation of the bottle is simple, but elegant. I accidentally dropped it and it didn’t break or crack, so it’s made of strong glass. Improvements: My scalp feel less irritated and healthy. In my case, I have dry scalp that comes and goes, and this serum helps minimize dandruff. While using, I noticed less and less flakes and eventually, none. My hair feels healthier and fuller. It leaves a fresh feeling in your hair and a very nice scent. I was selected to test this in March, and I have been using this treatment for more than a month. I received this product complementary from Influenster and OUAI in exchange for my honest opinion. Just over a month ago, I received this product free from Influenster. Since the new year, I’ve been getting much more into hair and skin products. I’m not getting any younger, so I’m trying to look my best and move into my 40s with grace. I really like the scent of this product, which is kind of minty and is familiar but I could not quite pin it down. If nothing else, your hair will smell great after applying this. The product is applied via a medicine dropper type bulb and applicator. i’m honestly not too sure what I think about this. From the beginning, I always felt like it was not getting enough product into the dropper and had to make multiple goals to get enough to saturate my scalp. In the end I just kind of gave up and came to terms that I would have to go multiple times to do the job. However, I can see why they don’t want you to do it with your fingers, as the shape of the bottle is not conducive for that. The bottles made of glass, but they might want to rethink it and make it into a squeeze bottle with a nozzle, kind of like how you would apply hair dye. I received this product during a time when I dyed my hair twice and pretty much fried my hair. I am going gray in front and getting the color to saturate has been a challenge. This has caused hair breakage and damage. I was able to use his products and apply it to the edges and widows peak of my hair. I feel like after use, but my scalp was not as Ollie but still moist. After much research for a product that would keep the static out of my hair in the harsh winter climate, I settled on this product. It got great reviews and seemed to be what I was looking for (a leave-in product that could be used on damp or dry hair). I was excited to use it so I tried to apply it onto my towel dried hair the first day. I was immediately hit by the very strong perfume-like smell of the product. I thought maybe I could get over that if the product worked. I went ahead and dried my hair and styled it. The second I put my coat on, STATIC everywhere! I thought maybe I should give the product the benefit of the doubt and try it on dry hair instead the next day. So, after blow drying my hair on day 2, I applied the product as directed. Once again, the strong perfume-like smell was overwhelming. Hoping for the best I put my coat on again and the static reappeared. On the 3rd day of using this product, I applied it on towel dried hair first, then on blow dried hair as well. I really thought this would work, but it didn't. STATIC again. Any way, I did hear good things about this hair oil, so I thought I'd give it a shot.I have straight, light brown hair that tends to be more on the oilier side. I wash and condition it daily, so when I'm looking for some sort of oil or leave-in conditioner to put on my ends, I need something that won't be too greasy. Luckily, this product is perfect. It makes my hair feel softer (not a crazy difference, but a subtle difference and I'll take it), it does make my hair a tiny bit shinier, but not too shiny. Overall, I really love that it is pretty lightweight and smooth in application. I also air-dry my hair and sometimes air drying makes hair products dry in a greasy looking way. Luckily, this product does not dry looking greasy on my hair, thank goodness.Overall, I would definitely recommend this product if you're looking for a semi-lightweight hair oil that you can use daily. For 3 years I have been using this product I always pick it up when it's near empty, I love it so much smells so great and it's shiny yet not greasy I usually apply it to my hair when it is wet but even when it is dry the product sets in when I sleep the next day I wake up and it's shiny and perfect! I use this on my hair when it’s damp/wet to help keep it smooth. I have a LOT of very long, very straight hair of medium thickness. I use two pumps and apply from my ears down and work it through my hair. I air dry my hair but when I occasionally blow dry it, this works just as well. I don’t apply it to my roots. It smells amazing, high praise coming from me as I’m sensitive to scents! It’s fruity and a bit sweet, but not overpowering once my hair dries. My husband also uses it on his crazy thick, curly hair and it helps tame some of his frizz, but not all (I don’t think anything can tame his hair!). I bought this cuz I saw all the good reviews about it. I’ve had several different serums at home but when I tried this for the first time, I’m in love. Not only is it lightweight, but the scent smells awesome too! The quality is good, it made my hair soft and tangle-free. Hair is so much smoother, silkier and no frizz at all. I attached a pic of my hair after using this serum however, I would like to point out that in order to achieve what I’ve shown in the pic, you can’t just rely on one product. I did use garnier anti-humidity leave-in conditioner on damp hair before using my heat protectant to blow dry. Right after that I applied this serum and then DAvines OI Oil as a finishing (another great product). The serum itself is good, I only used it from mid lengths to ends. The packaging size tho, it’s quite small. BUT! Only 2 small pumps is enough for my hair (I’m southeast asian and my hair length is below my chest, it’s medium thick) so a little goes a long way! If you have thicker hair, you need to section your hair to a few parts, I only sectioned to 2 because it’s not that thick. This serum/oil is THICK. That’s the first thing you notice when using this product. If you have a lot of hair, or very curly/dense texture this stuff will work great for you! I bought this stuff, and the bottle lasted me almost 2 years! A little goes a very long way, and you can use it on wet or dry hair. I usually put it on after showering, then used it for smoothing after drying my hair. It also smells really nice…has that coconut scent, but it’s not strong at all. I received this product for the purpose of reviewing it. The packaging of this product isn’t quite the same as the shampoo and conditioner. It matches the color, but lacks the same Grecian Pillar look Oribé is known for. This serum is extremely strongly scented. The smell lasts a LONG time. I applied it sunday. The next week, the smell was still going strong. Like the others of this set, this has a vaguely hibiscus scent. This serum didn’t really do much of anything for my hair. When applied to damp hair, it actually left my hair feeling crunchy when it dried, similar to a gel. It did make my ends more cohesive and less frizzy/damaged looking. A little bit of this goes a long way. Honestly, I don’t think this product is worth the price. It feels like a $20 hair treatment. I’ve been using this product for a couple weeks now and it has already done wonders for my hair. I naturally have very coarse, thick, dry hair and use a litany of oils and deep conditioners to keep my hair maintained. I feel like using this product consistently may alleviate that. I think I found another go to product to help tame this mane. I loved the frizz-free results that stopped frizz at my hairline without making my hair greasy (AMAZEBALLS), but whew, the smell is awful. Luckily the smell goes away after thirty minutes or so. I have medium thick 2B wavy/ curly frizzy hair and I have one heck of a time trying to get my hair under control. I used this, in combination with the Dyson Airwrap, Verb Ghost oil (for shine), Verb Ghost hairspray (for hold), and IGK Good Behavior Smoothing Balm. I was pretty impressed by the results. For an amateur it was an easy at home blow out, and my results have held for 3 days without my hair looking greasy or wild. If you are on the fence I would say try it if you can get past the smell for the amazing results. I have seen many negative reviews of this product and I'm truly surprised. I received a bottle free to provide my honest opinion of the product. My daughter (21) and I have used this for a month now, and we LOVE it. A little goes a long way. Just a small amount on the lengths of the hair, not in the scalp or near the scalp provides the best results. Brush the product thru your hair well and leave it until the next morning We have tried it multiple ways and this works the Best. I’ve used this hair serum both wet and dry and it works equally great each time. The formulation is in between a serum and a gel as far as consistency. It’s not too watery or too thick and it doesn’t leave a greasy feel or weigh my hair down. On dry hair, this smooths out any frizz, flyaways and seals the ends. This would be perfect for really naturally curly hair (I believe) to smooth out curls and make them more defined. On wet hair, I use this before styling and it gives me a sleek and smooth polished look especially if used with a concentrated hair attachment on your blow dryer. The scent is pleasant; nothing too perfumey or overwhelming. I like that this has a pump dispenser too which makes it very easy and convenient to use. This is amazing product as I apply this as final step of my hair routine and it gives wonderful shine and volume to my hair. This oil makes my hair feel softer. It's a light oil that absorbs quickly and doesn't weigh down my hair. The bottle design is good and there's not much smell. But I highly doubt I'll repurchase it because it doesn't seem to do much to tame frizz or add sleekness. It's not an awful product, but I find the Ouai oil adds a lot more sleekness and just as much softness to my hair (plus has heat protection). For reference, I have naturally straight bleached hair. This product is amazing! First and foremost, it smells heavenly! To be honest, that's the reason I first starting using it, because it made my hair smell great. All I do is apply one pumpful (the perfect amount for my long hair) into damp hair right after I shower. Then one day I decided to see if it made any difference to my hair and so I skipped using it. My hair was awful! Frizzy and dry feeling, constantly in my face, dull looking etc. Needless to say, I realized that this product is amazing. Despite the constant heat styling, and other damage that happens to my hair, my stylist always comments on how healthy is looks and I honestly can say it's because of this product. I'm pleasantly surprised with how much I like this root lifting serum. I've used it about 5 times so far along with the shampoo and conditioner and found that together they really work. My hair, which was thin and limp actually looks thicker and more voluminous now. One of the things I love about this product is that it doesn't impede me from using other products that I had before. I always use Argan oil and I thought if I added this to my hair routine, my hair would end up looking greasy or oily. This has not proven to be the case; I still use the same amount of Argan oil, but have added a pump of the root lifting serum with no difference in appearance of my hair besides looking thicker. The texture of the product itself is gel like and kind of reminds me of aloe vera gel. It has a very mild light scent, almost non-existent so you don't have to worry about a strong perfume like smell. When my hair dries (via air or blow dry), I don't even notice that I've used it because it doesn't leave any traces behind. I love that it's made from organic quinoa and caffeine which I've read is very good for hair growth and stimulating follicles so it's good to see that there are quality ingredients used in the root lifting serum. It's also free from harsh chemicals so my hair is well protected. Overall, I'm very happy with this serum and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for more voluminous, thicker hair without the harsh chemicals and procedures.raomeenas

I used this on my clients who had the coarse texture that needed something to smoothe down frizz, add shine and promote softness. I have to say I figured this product was the exact same as bio silk oil essentially, it smelled similar actually but it’s thicker and more hydrating and doesn’t just sit on the surface. This isn’t exactly my favorite hair oils, I’m definitely devoted to my olaplex #6 and my olaplex no.7 bonding oil. Sometimes I mix them together, sometimes I just use the no.7 but this oil is one that actually penetrates the hair and doesn’t just sit on the surface. It softens coarse hair, from the inside out instead of making it feel more greasy with build up. I didn’t think this was a bad product by any means, but their formula isn’t anything new or innovative. The olaplex no.7 treats and repairs the bonds in your hair while moisturizing and hydrating split ends, design essentials isn’t anything to write home about. Both of us use a serum daily for years and have tried quite a few. This serum is light, not oily nor heavy, smoothing, does not make the hair unnaturally shiny and has a lovely lasting scent. The serum performed well on both my straight hair as well as my daughters curly hair. It also performed well when she used a straightener to straighten her hair. We both tried the serum on towel dried hair a few times and then on dry hair a few other times as well as on both air dryed and heat styled hair and the results were all equally satisfying. Cant say enough about this product!!!! IT IS AWESOME!!! Wish I would have found this stuff so much sooner. I have thick, coarse, unruly hair that is somewhat wavy, more like lumpy. It takes a lot of heat to style my hair. And then it's still frizzy and not so straight after using the highest heat setting on my hair dryer and straightener. Someone told me about this stuff. I ordered it thinking "great, another product to add to my collection." Well to my surprise, IT WORKED!!! I use it on my hair when wet, about 2 pumps. And then about 2 more pumps before I style when dry. Not greasy or oily at all. I use it every day. My hair loves it. I've been using Noughty for a couple of years now as it's Vegan. I use the To The Rescue shampoo and mask regularly and decided to give this and the Tough Cookie conditioner a try. I have waist length, highlighted, fine type 2b/c hair and am prone to looking like a flloof ball. I bought this not expecting a miracle where frizz is concerned and especially for the modest price.
