This review may help people who tend to have sensitive skin. I first tried the Vitamin C serum. The first day went well, then I started using it every day and about the 3rd day of the vitamin C serum, my skin started freaking out, making it itchy, red and dry. This was the first time I had used a strong C serum and I didn`t realize that you should space your days out when first introducing it to your regimen. I contacted their customer service for advice and Erica kindly lead me to the HA serum which has been working fantastic with my skin. She was very helpful and answered every question and concern that I had. Side note: The customer service at this company goes above and beyond and it is very refreshing to speak with representatives of a company that actually listen and care as I`m sure you all know how rare that it these days. It also makes you feel good that you are supporting such a company. Now back to the HA serum. I can see a noticable improvement in my skin. I mainly wanted something that was firming, hydrating and just overall made my skin look better and to my astonishment, this one hit it out of the park which never ever happens for me. I am also incorporating the vitamin C serum once or twice a week now in place of the HA serum and it is going great, no more redness or anything like before now that I am doing it correctly. I thought this might be helpful for people who tend to have sensitive skin at times…don`t ditch the Vitamin C serum! Just slowly introduce it or try the HA serum first which has a lower concentration of the C before going with the 20% strength Vit C serum. If you have very sensitive skin, you may need to start by going every other day with the HA, but for me I did every day right off the bat with no problems. And I do have mild-sensitive and dry skin. But after starting this serum my skin doesn`t even feel or look dry. I look forward to trying more TruSkin products and am thrilled that I found this natural line!
TL;DR – This serum, and the Vitamin C one, -DO- show signs of positively affecting skin long-term. They both just created breakouts for me, so I can`t use them anymore. That doesn`t mean they won`t work well for you.The serum does even out my skin and hydrates it. My skin is sensitive and picky about what I put on it, but this serum doesn`t irritate or inflame it — so it`s gentle.The only downside is that despite it saying it doesn`t clog pores, it makes me break out into tons and tons of blackheads (I`m not exaggerating). I was using it in conjunction with TruSkin`s Vitamin C serum, so I stopped trying each one, one at a time — both separately kept making me break out, and just made it worse when they were used together. I stopped using them entirely and the bad blackheads went away after a few days — so I used them again, and whoop! The blackheads came back with a vengeance. So now I don`t use either at all, so I can`t really tell you long-term benefits of their use.TruSkin`s Retinol cream facial moisturizer doesn`t give me that problem though; it works great. It`s a shame I can`t use these other two.ANYWAY, like I said in the beginning — I was noticing positive changes. I just couldn`t keep using this serum, or the Vitamin C one, long-term because of the severe breakouts. So if you try these serums and they don`t give you blackheads, I definitely suggest keeping at it because I think they`ll be good for your face long-term.

This is a nice serum. I only use it at night time, but have noticed a difference since I started adding it to my nighttime routine. When I wake up in the morning I notice that old spots have gone down and my overall skin texture has started to smooth out. My skin just looks bright in the morning compared to dull and just blah without this in my routine. I also use this on my neck at night. My neck had two discolored lines and they’ve gone down and overall smoothed out. The texture on my neck has dramatically smoothed out and I think a lot has to do with this serum. I use the brightening toner in the morning and this serum at night. I don’t put any other stuff on my neck other than my cleanser and moisturizer so I know my results are mainly from adding niacinamide. My neck looks like more of a match to my face, and when you’re aging like me matching my neck to my face is a good thing. Before I incorporated this to my routine my neck started showing pretty decent signs of aging. It was also discolored from left over tans in the past. So it helped make things more even. I wish I’d taken before photos to compare. Always cleansed and moisturised my skin with decent quality products but in January my skin was making me look old, it was dull and I was constantly battling texture, clogged pores on nose and build up of rough surface layer that looked dreadful under makeup. Now use a range of good molecules products and my skin looks smoother, brighter and more youthful. I’m not needing to rely on harsh physical exfoliants either. Started with niacinamide and once I knew my skin tolerates it I added the gentle retinol cream. These both improved my skin, recently added the pineapple exfoliating powder and vitamin C powder which further improved my skin. Squalane oil is nice to layer on afterwards to soothe skin. Does require research/reading info to check which products you can use together though but totally worth it.CC
I'm very weary about trying out new skincare products after having dealt with hormonal and cystic acne from the ages of 16-20. I have to say the reviews surprised me. I've been using this serum with my routine for 3 weeks now and can only say good things. My skin is very dry and dehydrated. I'm in my 40s with some old sun damage and fine lines and my goal was to help heal my pregnancy melasma and help texture and lines. I use a korean essense first, followed by this niacinamide serum, vitamin c serum, a moisturizing ceramide toner and a moisturizing sunscreen every day and use a peptide-cerimide mousurizer unstead of sunscreen at night. The only thing I changed 3 weeks ago was switching out my old hyaluronic acid serum for this product. My skin is glowing. Im noticing a slow decrease in the extra texture and "patchiness" and keep getting complimented by friends who see it too. I saw a change after my 2nd time.

I too have fallen for the Niacinamide fad that had happened on Insta and have tried my share of different Niacinamide serums. The @naturium serum is by far my favorite stand alone Niacinamide product. It checks off everything in the box, high percentage, formulated with Zinc, works well with layering. It shows a visible difference in my skin when used consistently. The other ingredients include, Propanediol, Glycerin, Zinc PCA, Vitamin E, by and Sodium Hyaluronate. Zinc is supposedly an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and regulates oil. It also shows to protect and aid in wound healing and regeneration. This is why Zinc Oxide is so often found in high performing sunscreens, as it can reflect the sun and it creates a barrier between the skin and any damaging UV rays. I was super excited to receive the That JLo Glow Serum with Olive Complex complimentary from influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. Upon opening the voxbox, the first thing I noticed was the magnificent, luxe crystal looking bottle in which the product is housed. This only furthered my curiosity as to the product and its effectiveness. The pump bottle only requires one pump for ample coverage on the face. If you choose to apply it to the neck and décolletage, an additional pump is necessary. As the lightweight, non-sticky product begins to adsorb into the skin, there is a mild tightening sensation. Upon using this unscented product for several weeks, I found the serum to be very hydrating with some noticeable plumping of fine lines. When I first seen the bottle I thought “Oh it’s so pretty!”, and then I picked it up. It’s cheap lightweight plastic! I’d say it’s a mid-range price for a face serum, and because of that I expected they would put a bit more effort into the packaging. I prefer glass bottles, or at least a higher quality material than cheap plastic. Putting that aside my next issue was with the pump. I’m hoping I just got a bad bottle but when I pump it the serum squirts out very forcefully- it literally went right past my hand onto my wall! I have to make sure I cup the pump to make sure the serum actually stays on my fingers. Then I noticed the smell. I am a fan of fragranced skin care but this does not smell good at all. I can’t pinpoint exactly what it smells like, but it almost has a spoiled smell to it. This product is AMAZING, BUT there is a caveat. Often times when I buy this product it seems spoiled, like how vitamin C can go bad if not kept correctly. The product should be a light orangey color, but when it's gone off it's a darker orange. I've used this for years and return it before I even walk out of the store most times because I know to check to see if it is bad/old/whatever is going on with it. If you do get a good bottle, you'll be writing a great review, trust me. But if I got my first bottle or two and it was sticky and smelled odd, and didn't do what others claimed it would, of course I would be skeptical too. 75% of the bottles I buy, whether Sephora or Ulta, are always bad. Why keep buying it? Because the good product is life changing and everyone notices how great my skin looks. So buyer beware, but also this product can be amazing. Hopefully this helps!Deanna13i
This is one of those products that you didn't know you needed until you try it. This is a very high quality serum that I received a sample of. My skin is mature with fine lines, very dry, and prone to acne breakouts. As instructed I placed three or four drops in my hand and applied it to my face. It easily spread over my skin and my skin absorbed it quickly and it left it feeling extremely smooth It even looked better after the first application. So far I really love what I'm seeing with this product. I applied a light nighttime moisturizer afterwards so far I have not broken out and my skin already looks a lot better. I am someone who takes care of their skin or at least I thought I was but this product may be something that I will add to my regimen. It contains some wonderful anti-aging properties such as vitamin c and retinol. I got this sample of Multi-Action Super-C Retinol Brighten and Correct Vitamin C Serum from @strivectin months ago I've been using it for over a couple of months, so now it's time to give my honest opinion. I'm usually incredibly sensitive to Retinol, so I was hesitant about trying this at first. It's actually very, very gentle. Idk the % of Retinol, but I did start off slowly. I used it 2X a week, then built up to 3-4X a week. I do feel a slight warming sensation after applying it, but it does go away after about 5 min or less. The serum has a strong scent to it, like a strong citrus type scent, but it does go away after about 2 mins. It's a thick, orange serum that will feel tacky at first, but it does absorb into your skin. I put on toner first, then this serum, then a thick, moisturizing cream to keep my skin calm. I have noticed a more even texture to my skin my skin just looks overall more healthy than it did before. I have quite a bit of serum left (you only need a drop or 2), so if any changes happen, I'll update. Note: I had absolutely NO purging, dryness or redness when using this serum. If you're not used to Retinol, start off slowly. 1-2X a week, then work your way up. At first I was worried about this product because there are no clear indications of the concentration of these ingredients. I wanted something with vitamin C but I would prefer a higher, clearly stated concentration. I decided to use this on my chest and back and it made su a difference in my incidence of breakouts and inflammation! My skink is so much smoother and I don’t get breakouts anymore! I'm not sure what happened here. I currently use their vit C as well as their cleanser and enjoy both. While I haven't seen any difference with their vit C, it sinks into my skin nicely and causes no irritation. I've also used countless other vit C and haven't seen any drastic difference so maybe my skin just isn't a fan of vit C. Their cleanser is awesome and I'll repurchase that. As for this product, the superserum, I think I got a bad bottle. For one, I truly wish Naturium would provide clear bottles. These bottles are a bit heavier than most glass bottles that skincare comes in which makes it hard to tell when you are almost finished with the product, which is very annoying. But the main reason I dislike this product is that every time I try to use the product hardly none comes out. Maybe I have a bad dropper, but since it is a thicker consistency I've been forced to literally just try and pour on my hands. Even doing that, the product only lasted like 2 weeks which makes me think I wasn't given nearly enough. The dropper for Vit C works great and it is a lot like the superserum consistency so I'm really dumbfounded what is going on. ps, niacinamide is a great product too, best niacinamide I've used, but I have NO CLUE when I'll be finished because it isn't in a clear bottle.Adam
I bought this with the retinol complex serum, which I began using first, then had the worst skin reaction of my life. So it took me a good month before I got the courage to attempt this serum. I asked Naturium whether I should even try this one after the fiasco with the retinol serum and they said I should give it a try. I did, and I'm glad I did. I was using it at night, and when my skin healed enough to add in a different retinol product (granactive retinol by a different brand, recommended by Gothamista a couple years ago at the beginning of her retinol journey), I was alternating 2 nights with the granactive retinol and 3 nights with the vitamin C. I decided mixing actives in the same routine was not a good idea for my sensitive skin. A few weeks ago I began moving this to the morning routine (I wasn't using an active in the morning at all), and I think that's when I started seeing real, perceptible results. My hyperpigmentation seems about the same, but overall, my skin appears more refined and brighter. I did also add in a heavier water cream sleeping mask at night, so maybe the combo of that and the vitamin C in the morning is really helping. Or, it could be that I'm now using a vitamin C serum daily by moving it to the morning routine, and I can also use my granactive retinol more than 4 nights a week. Overall, I am happy with this vitamin C serum, My sensitive skin accepts it, and it seems to have some visible results before I finish the first bottle. There's another vitamin C serum I want to try, but this is def. going on my re-purchase list.G.H.

I received this complimentary product in exchange for my honest opinion. The first time I used it, it seemed to instantly smooth my complexion and even the texture. After three days, my skin looked brighter overall and was extremely soft. My husband even noticed the difference. After just over a week, my face was no longer oily and my dry patches (all but one area) disappeared. I have used this consistently (with the exception of a couple 2-3 day hiatus). The only time I ever felt a tingle was when I used it after the Microdermabrasion Mask. My reasons for four stars: 1. It is fairly tacky/sticky. I do not like this under makeup. It says to use in the morning, but I use it at night because of this. Takes quite awhile for it to soak into my skin, but if I use less than five drops, it doesn't seem to spread out evenly over my entire face. 2. When I did have my brief hiatuses from using it, I broke out around my chin. I am not prone to breakouts normally, nor did I "purge" when I began using. Not sure why this happened, but nothing else changed in my regimen except this. 3. I really haven't noticed much change in my fine lines or wrinkles. After having using it for over a month already, I hoped I would have seen at least a small difference, especially since I noticed the other changes so quickly. I love my results. I am achieving my goal of fading the melasma spot over my lip. It’s been so frustrating and I’ve been dealing with it for years. From the time of my review, I have been using this product for 16 days. I received this product and a Vitamin C serum for free from Influenster in exchange for my review. I use the microdermabrasion scrub every 2-3 days and the vitamin C twice daily. I do not use any other products except a face wash and moisturizer. First: if you suffer from Melasma, you need to wear mineral sunscreen. I’ve used other products to get rid of this condition successfully and it kept returning because I failed to wear physical sunscreen. I discovered this fact during this review period and began using it about 8 days ago. It has made a huge difference, as I’m in Arizona and the sun is just blazing here. I saw greater improvement once I added the mineral sunscreen. I’m not sure which one is making a bigger difference in my skin but my melasma is fading above the lip and there is an overall brightness to my complexion that wasn’t there before. When you apply this over the microdermabrasion scrub it does tingle but it tells me that it’s working. Be careful mixing with other actives. This stuff is strong. At first glance, the bottle looks high quality. The application is easy. The serum can be easily and hygienically removed with the pipette. It is so productive that two to three drops are sufficient and absorbs quickly. I use the serum after cleansing my facial skin and before applying a skin care cream. The skin is intensively moisturized by the serum, so that dryness lines disappear. The skin immediately appears smooth and visibly refreshed and feels pleasantly supple. The effect unfolds after a few days and the skin looks firmer and more youthful.
I tested the @lorealparis Revitalift Triple Power LZR Anti Aging 1.5% Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The applicator was very easy to use and I was able to apply the serum on the face without any issues. The serum itself was smooth on my skin, although I did feel some tackiness while it was still wet. As soon as it dried, the tackiness was gone and my skin felt nice and soft. My skin did feel more plump and moisturized. However, I feel like I would need to use it over a longer period of time to see any anti-aging benefits. In the last two years I have been trying a number of hyaluronic acid serum brands. About a month ago I received a sample of Mineral 89 and I was instantly amazed with the results on my skin. The serum has a much thicker consistency than what I am used to, but this is what makes this product different. Lacome's products are always really great and this Rénergie H.C.F. Anti-Aging Triple Serum is no exception. First of it is beautifully packaged. Compared to other Lancome products – this is exactly what you would expect from a high quality luxury brand like Lancome. This is something you're going to want to keep on your countertop not hide away in a drawer. It is a really nice item to buy for someone else as it is so beautiful. I also LOVE really great instructions on a product and this gives such wonderful instructions for best use. Really it's a face lotion so you probably already know what to do but it's really nice to get the recommended application times, usage and pumps suggested. I followed the instructions to a T and was very happy with the results. It is really easy to use, just a single pump provides a triple serum with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C + Niacinamide and Ferulic Acid. I have used this product for almost two months now and it's still going strong. The product comes out evenly and I would want you to know that I never feel the need to wash my hands after application. It applies easily, smoothly and cleanly. There is no noxious odor and my skin feels well hydrated. I would recommend this product to anyone especially those living in a cold or dry climate because it keeps my skin very well taken care of. While using this product I still use other products as part of my daily and nightly routine – this does not replace everything and is not designed to be a single use product but it does contain three different serums which make application effortless. I have received Lancome Renergie H.C.F Triple Serum from Lancome and Influenster. I love the idea of having three essential formulas in one product. I have applied the serum to my washed face twice a day during 3 weeks. One time in the morning, followed by my sunscreen and moisturizer (from the same brand and cosmetic line), and one time at night (followed by my night cream from the same cosmetic line). Previously I have only been a consumer of day and night creams, so I was excited about the idea since I expected more tangible results. The serum has that characteristic aroma of the brand. It absorbs very quickly and you feel that it really moisturizes. It leaves a noticeable glow on your skin. Unfortunately, I didn't notice drastic or noticeable changes in two weeks. I have some acne spots, and I was hoping that they would at least diminish a little. I don't have wrinkles yet, so I think the serum will help prevent premature birth. In general, despite using the day and night moisturizers followed by the serum, I have not noticed any change, feeling somewhat discouraged, since the product is quite expensive, and I am waiting for noticeable results. The packaging has a nice, luxurious, and sensual presentation, but my bottle had a defect since it was difficult to press the button and all three ingredients came out at the same time. It was a challenge to achieve it since at first only one ingredient came out. I put the bottle upside down for one night and when I used it again the three of them barely came out together. The instructions say there are only two poms, but to achieve that amount I have to make 5 poms. I love this brand, but I feel a bit discouraged by not getting optimal results. I am not a serum/essence girl but I loved this one! First I loved that the #complimentary #sample was this cute mini-bottle (and even came in a box) vs just a sachet! This allowed me a good 3 uses at least so could get a good idea of the product and see the cumulative effect of using it a few days. The box itself is pretty with the blue colour, the bottle reminds me of something my fancy grandma would have the brown being a little mature and the gold being luxe. I think the bottle would be good to reuse as well for a weekend away holding just enough (when we can travel again) Now the best part – I actually felt/saw a difference with this serum!! My skin feels smoother, more even and replenished! I would highly recommend this product and is something I would invest in and add to my skincare routine! This product is very hydrating, and I like that it’s a gentle nighttime serum. It also helped calm my skin during what was probably the WORST breakout of my life, like bordering on cystic acne level and I haven’t had a problem with acne (other than a few zits here and there over the years) in like 15+ years. That was definitely a relief. Personally, I really liked it and I thought the little sample bottle I got free from Influenster lasted a long time (10ml, no dropper to measure, used almost every night starting late August with very little left now, 10/26 so with that in mind a 1oz bottle very well could last 6+ months for me) I’m not sure I’d be willing to pay $75+ for just the hydrating properties and small boost in radiance. When I’m seeking an anti-aging product like this, I generally reach for retinol serums – though they are a little harsher on your skin they compared to this, a very gentle serum, I see more anti-aging results with the retinol serum I currently have. That visibly reduced the “frown line” between my brows, and all but got rid of my smile lines. Advanced Night Repair did not help with those things. So I suppose whether you like it or not, really depends on what you’re looking for. If you want smoother skin, hydrated skin, more radiance, this serum is for you and you are really going to love it & start to see results after a week or so. But if you’re in your early 30’s, looking for help with fine lines and early wrinkles, loss of plumpness in your face, I’d recommend Sunday Riley A+ Retinoid serum, and start to see results from that after induction + a month or so of continued use. I know I bought this product two months ago but did not start using this until two weeks ago. First reason I got this is because there was a mentioned about helping to lighten dark spots on face. CE Ferulic is a beautiful serum. Amongst other ascorbic acid serums, CE Ferulic is pleasant to use, despite also having a hot dog water smell (standard for ascorbic acid) it is subtle and bearable compared to other products. CE Ferulic is also very moisturising on my skin. It is even okay to use on its own without moisturiser sometimes. CE Ferulic gives my skin great luminosity and radiance. However, it does not have an impact on pigmentation (by this point in time I have used Skinceutical's vitamin C serum continuously for around 12 weeks). I see CE Ferulic as more of a maintenance serum rather than a life-changing serum. It did provide a good luminosity to my skin, however it certainly did not have the same wow factor as compared to, say for example, Skinceutical's Silymarin CF. However, for a good maintenance serum I think $233 is overpriced compared to what is otherwise available in the market. I am also not sure why, with this hefty price tag, the serum does not come in an airless pump and opaque bottle given that ascorbic acid is so prone to oxidising. I am not really enjoying the dropper bottle format but I have been storing this in the dark in my drawer and wrapped in foil. It has not oxidised. I had heard about SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic from friends, and remained very skeptical, thinking: right, right, sure, sure. Their skin always looked fresh and healthy. But, still I didn't buy the product. Then, I read a laugh out loud review online by a dermatologist, Christina Haverstock, who said that “They will pry Skinceuticals CE Ferulic from my cold, dead hands.” Okay, okay, I'll try it. So, I was given a bottle, and low and behold, it worked wonders. My mature, patchy skin began to look really actually very good. Then, I ran out. I realized that C E Ferulic had actually been a game changer for my skin. My skin was smoother, softer, spots were disappearing (I had planned to have one removed but the serum took care of that), and my botox lasted much longer. So, I decided to try a LovelySkin order after a long absent when they sent me a note in the mail (smart move on their part). I ordered a bottle of C E Ferulic on discount (yay!), ordered another SkinCeuticals product (I couldn't help it), and got other samples as well (temptation); the products arrived quickly and well packaged. This is a long review to say that I don't use very many products, but this one serum, C E Ferulic, is a product that truly makes a difference for me. I actually get comments about how nice my skin looks, and that's really something when one is over 70. Because of this, I will not lapse again. Moreover, without academic research and peer-to-peer review, it's challenging to predict how your skin will interact with or absorb an active ingredient. Given the volatile, reactive nature of vitamin C (hence why serums containing Vitamin C are often packaged in a dark brown bottle, which helps protect the product from oxidizing), don't trust your skin to other dupes. I've tried a few Vitamin C serums and this has been one of my favorites. I've used this for approximately one month and have noticed a significant difference in the appearance of my acne scars. When I started this I had two inflammatory pimples on my face which left dark scars ,despite me not picking at them at all. I usually used this in the mornings along with sunscreen, which is highly recommended. From time to time I would use it in my night routine. My scars are almost completely gone. I know this is working because prior to me ever incorporating Vit C into my routine, my acne scars took forever to fade out. I do agree with others that it has a strange smell. To me it smells like the skin of a fruit; it's pretty tolerable in my opinion and it doesn't linger. I also agree with others that the pump needs work. Site recommends 2-3 pumps but I pump it at least 5 times because it doesn't always pump out enough serum. Overall, it's a great product and I would buy it again.Eileen
Timeless 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum is soo amazing. I felt like I noticed a radiance from within in days. Even when I would have break outs I was way more confident in my skin because it still looked healthier and vibrant thanks to this product! I would 100% recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful healthy glow and the feeling of happy healthy skin. That being said, my only issue is the packaging had some leaking issues. I usually store my skincare laying down so I realized that it leaked when it was horizontal. However after that I stored it vertically and it had no issue. It also did not cause it to oxidize, but I can’t help but feel like I may have lost out on product due to leaking. I’ve seen other people complain about this issue as well, while other people have no problem, so I’m hoping they will be able to figure it out since it is only a packaging issue rather than a problem with the product itself. Let me start by saying that I have used many C and E ferulic serums. All the ones I have used had an oil base (the castor oil PEG comes to mind). Anyway that doesn’t work with my skin so I tried the really expensive version with silymarin only to find that it had Laureth-23 or 7 in it, which is a pore clogger for most of us and was very disappointing. Enter in Timeless… a brand i hadn’t heard of but once I heard about it I realized it was everywhere! People really like this stuff! So I decided to try is in the smallest size available because it is so reasonably priced and had no known pore cloggers in it. I have been using it for week and can honestly say my skin looks radiant! I am 40 with oily, acne prone skin and this stuff is so light! It absorbs immediately and has no funky smell, no oily residue, no stinging burning sensation and absolutely no irritation and the price is incredible! What a winner! This was a dream to trial thank you! After around 4 weeks of use, applied morning and night, before moisturiser, my skin feels and looks smoother, brighter and more refreshed. Fine lines seem less noticeable and it is a pleasure to use on my sensitive, rosacea prone skin. I particularly liked the packaging – the serum is presented in a squeeze tube with a long pointed nozzle for releasing the product. Always prefer my skin products where possible, to be packaged in a squeeze tube or a pump, as it protects the product inside from air and contamination from handling, as is what seems to be the case in skin care products that come in a screw top jar. It is also fragrance free and doesn't block pores, which is also great for my sensitive skin. This serum has a very healthy dose of L-ascorbic acid, which apparently is the purest form of Vitamin C. This is a brilliant antioxidant as well. Not to mention, it also has Hyaluronic Acid, which is renowned for its moisture retentive properties in locking in the moisture to your skin and making it supple and soft. I usually love Cerave products for what ingredients are included in them as much as the ingredients left out. But this serum just has too much dimethicone in it for my preferences and pills under my SPF. I’ll use up the tube but will not repurchase. In my ongoing search to replace my preferred (and very expensive) vitamin c serums (Sunday Riley CEO, Drunk Elephant C-Firma), I picked this up from HEB. The 10% vitamin c is ascorbic acid, one of my preferred vit c dosages, and it is packed with ceramides just like other Cerave products. The packaging is just right: the opaque aluminum tube protects the light-sensitive ingredients and ensures you can actually use up everything in the tube – you can roll it up just like a toothpaste tube – and the tip of the tube is sealed from air until you break the seal. It has no scent and spreads nicely on the skin, not leaving any sticky residue or shine on the face. This is probably due to the fact that dimethicone is high on the ingredient list. Unfortunately, the large amount of dimethicone just doesn’t sit well on my skin, especially under SPF and makeup. It causes rolling/pilling on my face that looks like I rolled around in a lint trap. Not cute! I gave three stars for quality vit c/ceramide ingredients and effective and smart packaging. But it is a no-go for me and my skincare routine.shelby.h
My review of the Cerave skin renewing vitamin C serum: I have some conflicted feelings on this product. The serum itself yielded really good results; I felt my naturally uneven skintone with small, faint areas of skin discoloration physically looks better after consistent use. After applying for two weeks after washing my face, I felt my skin's uneveness had been largely resolved! I also had some dry patches and inflamed skin on the side of my mouth, as well as some scarring from recent hormonal pimples, and this cleared everything up. What I did not love is the rather small amount of product you receive and the not very aesthetically pleasing packaging, compared to my skinceuticals or glossier serums at least. It was difficult to figure out how to get the product out of the tube, as there's an oddly pointed cap covering a skinny tip of the tube that I ASSUME needed to be cut. I had to cut the tip off the tube to get the product to be released but would really have appreciated if the packaging could have mentioned ANYWHERE that you'll need to cut the tube. I should have known this was going to be amazing. For 30 year I have always had oily/combo skin. I loved my natural oils but alas I took them for granted and age has stripped my former glow. Having never dealt with dry skin or flakey patches I didn't have any idea what products would work. I’ve been using this product since 2018 and it’s really the only hydrating serum I consistently repurchase. I have severe dry and dehydrated skin; even in the summer it cracks and peels off my nose. I apply this serum *nearly* every morning and night. It helps my skin looking fresh and hydrated throughout the day and the nightly application stops me from waking up crusty. I can tell when I haven’t used it in a bit because my skin will get that tight, fresh out of the shower feeling. This serum revives my skin almost instantly. I’ve used it with multiple moisturizers and other treatments and it has never caused me problems with breakouts or pilling. 10/5 stars, holy grail, can’t live without it.PBJuliee
I really love how this serum applies and makes my skin feel. It’s a pretty thick gel texture, but it sinks in easily and quickly. It has a bit of a cooling sensation and definitely makes my face feel hydrated. There are some superstar ingredients in here like colloidal oatmeal, green tea leaf extract, hyaluronic acid, and licorice root extract. This is a nice combination that helps keep the skin soothed, hydrated, strong, and acne-free. The only thing that gives me pause is that all these good ingredients come after the preservative phenoxyethanol on the ingredients list. Phenoxyethanol can only be used at a maximum concentration of 1%, so this means that everything that comes after it in the ingredients list comes in percentages of 1% or lower. I wonder how effective these ingredients are at such low doses. I know that some ingredients (like retinol) are very strong even at 1%, so there’s a chance that these other components are also powerful at low doses. I wish FAB would provide some information about that. Aside from that, I can’t think of anything negative about this product.natasha2

I have been using this serum along side other products for almost 3 weeks now and to be honest I did find a slight change in my skin. The texture of the serum is nice not too sticky and it dries great on the skin leaving no grease cast and gorgeous from within glow. I would say that the size is quite small for the price. Another thing, I didn’t breakout from this product which is good for my acne-prone skin. Highly recommend this for dry skin as well. It leaves my skin hydrated with nice glow and pairs well with my other skin care products. My skin is usually dry/sensitive. I wanted to take a break from my retinol product for the summer, but thought I'd try this for a continued bit of skin renewal/turnover. I've loved this product so far (having used it about 2 weeks now). You only need about 3-4 drops, so it should last a long time. It absorbs quickly without any greasiness and my skin feels much softer than on the days I don't use this product. I got this item and was highly skeptical of its claims that it could be used on any skin type, as my skin is super sensitive to so many products. I had figured that it would probably just end up in the bin with all of the other high end and low end products that i have tried, only to find them irritating…but BOY WAS I WRONG!!!!! Not only did this product not aggravate my skin in the slightest but it improved my skin so much! I love that it was feather weight and didn't leave my skin feeling like i had heavy oils on it. the serum is a slight bit sticky when you first put it on just until it soaks into your skin (much like aloe). there is hardly any smell to it what so ever, if you smell very close you might catch a wiff of the witch hazel but it dissipates once applied to your skin. I love that there is no added color or fragrance, there is nothing worse then having something heavily scented on your face. The serum is a super thick gel so a tiny drop covers your whole face and neck. Its easy to use and fast absorbing, leaving your skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. Im sure if you live in a hot climate or in the summer months it would be super refreshing to leave the bottle to chill in the refrigerator and apply it cold. I LOVED the way that it helped my face feel so much that i ended up trying it on the patches of eczema that i had on my arms and backs of my hands.
