I was very excited & grateful to have been chosen to try Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo. #trywithtopbox #freeproduct I have type 3B curls, and I have been wanting to try Shea Moisture products for quite some time now, but just didn’t get around to it. I have been using the Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo for a month now. I really like the coconut scent, it lathers really well and I was very pleased that a little goes a long way as I have very long and thick hair. I wash my hair every 3rd day, but I wet my hair and condition it every day. I have been using the Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Conditioner the 2nd day. I always use leave in conditioner but that day I had to use double the amount of what I normally use. Otherwise my hair felt & looked dry & frizzy. The product definitely did help with detangling my hair, not totally, but to a great enough degree where I was pleased. I didn’t notice any improvement in shine though. I was hoping to experience much more of an overall difference from all the various products I have used in the past. No huge noticeable difference, and more expensive than what I currently use. I love that Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo contain no silicones, parabens, no phathalates, no petrolatum & no mineral oil. Thankful to have found and purchased this amazing shampoo. My desire to nourish and manage my natural 4C porosity hair came with a challenge. However, I remembered, that I purchased this shampoo and matching hair masque. However, for the information on Hair Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, the page is unavailable. My budget is tight at the moment, but I usually save up for what I need. I need the Hair Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque. Therefore, to increase the benefits to my damaged hair I gathered a portion of the Curl and Shine Hair Masque and combined it with a hint of tea tree oil, fresh rosemary water, rose water, and peppermint oil. Leaving in my hair for 30 minutes. My hair texture is incredibly moist. I shall continue this mixture until I am able to locate and purchase the High Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, which I already know is perfect for the restoration of my hair. The chemical perm greatly damaged my hair, thinned my hair, and broke my hair off in places. After two years of studying Cosmetology without desiring to work in this field, I have learned valuable new detailed information about hair on my own. So I really enjoyed using the product on both my baby girl and my own hair. Because we have very very different hair types, I noticed some important things. She has a healthy head of very fine, very varied coil curls. The shampoo worked great on very wet hair, it lathered well for a clarifying shampoo without turning her hair into dry grass. I rinsed twice to make sure the water ran well and clear. The conditioner was light and moisturizing, as promoted. I took the time to work it into all strands while damp to slightly wet with a curly hair wet brush. Afterward rinsing the conditioner lightly, I put in the styling cream. Here I realized I'd put in way too much, but the effect was still very good. Her curls were less prone to tangling, moisturized and made beautiful defined coils. My hair is fine but wavy, not curly. However my hair is super dry. I like using heavily moisturizing products from time to time to feed my hair. The products were too heavy for fine straighter hair, but it really moisturized heavily. My hair has a healthy strong feel and a beautiful glisten that it has after a moisturizing hair mask. Overall, on straighter finer hair, I'd say use the conditioner thoroughly but rinse very well and easy on the styling cream. I didn't experience any waxiness anywhere.Thali22

This product is in my everyday haircare routine. It's an all natural ingredient shampoo and doesn't contain sulfates or silicones. This shampoo is also color-safe friendly. The shampoo itself works well for stripping product buildup, cleansing the scalp, and leaving your hair feeling clean. It lathers really well into hair. The only semi catch is that it washes and rinses better with cold water over warm or hot. The smell is amazing, I wish it was a little more potent, but if your pair this shampoo with it's conditioner in crime (as I do) the smell balances out. As should be said this product alone, like I mentioned works well, but it works best with the paired conditioner. I was searching for a new go to shampoo and conditioner, something for my fine but thick, damaged and frizzes easily hair (its humid in the south), as I'm growing it out since I had to do a big chop. I did alot of searching online reading reviews on all products, that was my make or break on finally making a purchase. WTBS I'm super happy with this product and have been using it for over a month before even writing a review. The shampoo is so fragrant, it WOW'd me, it doesn't smell that strong out the bottle, I love it, but if you are sensitive to strong scents you might not like it, but after using over a week or so, you get used to its power and enjoy it alot. Lathers well, my hair feels super clean and soft, mega sleek is exactly what you get with this combination. When blow drying you can still smell the luxurious smell, faintly not over powering but where you know your hair smells SO GOOD! My frizz and fly aways are definitely helped by this product. I normally straighten my hair almost daily, but since my big chop and I'm growing out my natural hair, I want it super healthy and the least amount damaged as possible, so right now no flat iron only blow drying and it looks very good! My hair is more wavy than curly – however I wanted to give this a try to see if it would help me achieve more “I naturally woke up like this” hair days than “frizzy mess”. I have to say that after trialling out the new Maui Moisture Lightweight Curls + Flaxseed Shampoo and Conditioner I’m pleased with the results. Always a fan of vegan / natural products if possible, and the Aloe Vera definitely works to hydrate and smooth. Shampoo has a good lather, and leaves hair clean but not dry, and when followed with the conditioner that melts instantly into your hair, detangling is incredibly easy (just with my fingers) When rinsed out hair still feels soft and hydrated, and when gently towel dried I did find that my hair tended to generally settle better into shinier waves rather than frizzy or flat, with minimum product. Pleased but not amazed by this product. Would recommend as a good lightweight “every other wash” option for curly haired girls in between styling.Nicole M.

This was my first time trying a curly shampoo and I have had some really good results! My hair is very fine and has a natural wave to it which I’ve never styled before. It’s also very dry and heat damaged. I used this product by shampooing my roots twice and conditioning my ends once. I found once I got out of the shower and scrunched my hair, there was a bit of a natural wave already. With the use of a curl conditioner and styling mousse, the waves held once my hair dried. I haven’t rated this 5 stars as I find my hair gets really knotty and dry. This is likely due to my damaged hair but important to note. This conditioner comes in quite cute packaging – I like the fact it is more square, as it makes it easy to grub onto in the shower with wet slippery hands. It is quite appealing with nice labels and easy to read instructions. The conditioner itself isn’t a thick consistency, but not runny. It has a light scent, which is quite refreshing in scent and not overpowering. After leaving on my hair for a few minutes, it was easy to wash out and left my hair feeling quite soft and smooth. Upon drying, my hair wasn’t as soft as I had expected, and I don’t feel like it helped to accentuate my natural curl. It left almost like a greasy residue on my hair, meaning I had to rewatch a few days later (usually can stretch to a week). I would recommend this to people with thicker hair.Catherine L.

This conditioner is amazing! Of all the conditioners I’ve ever used (I’m in my 20’s so I’ve been through a looot of conditioners!) this one is by far the best. I don’t need a huge amount of it to get my hair untangled, and when I do brush through it I barely have any tangles at all. Okay, at first I was suspicious about this product because I really only knew Sun Bum for their sunscreen so I was a little confused seeing they did products for hair. But guys…this product is AMAZING. As someone who constantly buys products to help her curly hair, this has been a life changer. I bought this on a whim because I was like, what's the harm in another product supposedly for curly hair? Boy was I surprised!! I used to cowash because I was having such a hard time keeping my hair from getting frizzy but as a consequence my roots would get kinda greasy and sometimes my curls didn't look as hydrated as the cowash would advertise. Finallyyyyy I found a product that actually hydrates my hair, makes it look great curly, and isn't making it frizzy or puffy. The only con about this product is that I really really wish they made versions of this product in larger bottles because the conditioner tends to go quickly especially if you have long curly hair like me. I actually really like this conditioner. The first time I bought it, I didn't. I decided to give it another try and k actually really like it. I use it as a rinse out and when I "squish to condish". I feel more comfortable using this for squish to condish rather than a normal rinse out conditioner because those are not meant to be left in the hair and this one is. I do rinse this out though. I really wanted to love this product and I did in the first month of using it. I applied it in the shower and brushed through it really easily, it helped revive my waves, and I really liked the smell. Unfortunately after about a month of use I started noticing really bad dandruff at the front of my hairline, big dandruff flakes, and the nape of my neck was itch. Then I started getting this weird buildup on my hair after the shower. My hair just felt really tacky, when I tried to brush through it, it got tangled immediately because it was sticking to itself, I even noticed some white buildup on my brush. So the next time, I washed the brush, washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo, and made sure to wash out the conditioner well…really well. And it still left this really sticky gross buildup on my hair. It was almost impossible to even run my fingers through. I shampooed my hair twice with a clarifying shampoo and went back to one of my old conditioners and my hair is pretty much back to normal. There is still maybe one part that is still a little sticky/tacky so I'll have to wash it again. Maybe this works for some people, it just didn't work for me. I really like Not Your Mother's products but this particular one didn't quite make the cut. I love how they are free of alcohol, silicones, phthalates, sulfates and dyes. This can be used as a leave in conditioner, rinse out or just as a co-wash. It does enhance my curls and give some definition but my hair is so oily the next day, I have to wash it. Also, my hair seems extra tangley and dry the next day. Just remember that everybody's curls are different and so what might not work for me, might work for you.ashley.b

I really like using these products and how my hair feels after using them. I ordered the whole set during the flash sale and when I received the products the shampoo, conditioning spray, and the conditioner weren't closed properly so most of the product was in the bottom of the box. I sent an email about the issue but I received another email for a link that doesn't work to open a ticket. No one has reached out to me and I have been sent the same link twice. My previous order the pumps on the bottles were broken. I just chalked that up to shipping but when the products are sent to you already opened, that's a whole other issue.Marcia W.

This is one of my top five shampoos for people who have a four c hair texture! The smell is amazing. It definitely gives off hints of pomegranate and honey which is the perfect snow combination. It provides a thick rich and full leather without having to use 17 pumps of shampoo. I Projects like that mielle products are parabens and sulfates paraffins and mineral oil all free. I will be the first to say that being that I have for sea hair this is not a detangling product. Moisturizing absolutely. Cleaning your hair it also removes all the impurities. I was a little disappointed when I received my black Friday package from Mielle. I have ordered before and have been pleased but this time it was like everything was thrown in a box and shipped. The box was so beat up its like the products could have came out and almost would have im certain had it been tossed around any more and I know that part wasn't so much their fault but I figured it would have been put into another box to ship to prevent that problem. The products had no confetti at least to soften how its thrown around everything was so greasy i thought for sure a product or 3 were leaking and also nothing was wrapped at least in bubble wrap considering how it was boxed up. This product works as step one of my product routine. Does it give the best coverage or moisturizing power? No, but remember it is designed to also be a co-wash. You can tell by the slight astringency and bubbles post-rinse that it has mild cleansing action. You do need a fair amount to coat the hair enough to brush detangle, but it wins best all-around for curls. It smells amazing, and gives good curl definition, shine and frizz control. I wash it out, then use Alba cocoa butter as a scalp moisturizer/leave-in, and finish with a humidity hold gel, and get a beautiful cast that lasts about a week. I did prefer the previous formulation when it was called custom conditioner, (I think they were cutting costs with the change), as you didn't need to use as much, but still like it enough to keep using.dartarro21

Bumble and bumble has the key to luxurious curly hair! I was ecstatic when this generous sample came in the mail because I am always on the hunt for great hair products for my curly hair. Bumble and bumble’s Bb Curl product line made my hair soft, feeling hydrated and my curls controlled. I got a great lather and a fresh feeling from the Moisturizing Shampoo. The 3-In-1 Conditioner was very creamy and hydrating whether I rinsed it out or left it in. Not to mention the fact that my hair smelled great! Bb Curl’s Anti-Humidity Gel-Oil left me with nice, loose curls and kept my hair from getting frizzy even when the humidity was high. I also used this product right before bedtime because it felt nice and light, leaving my hair not sticky to the touch. It was nice to not wake up with crazy bed-head for a change! I used the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil heat/UV protective primer before using my straight iron and found that it worked well without leaving my hair greasy or gunky. It also did not leave any residue on my iron. The Defining cream gave my curls definition without the usual crunchy, sticky texture we all dislike so much. My curls still bounced while I walked and I could even pick my hair without ruining the hold. It didn’t flake off either. Well, super bummed. I liked the light scent. It doesn't smell "good" but not bad either and it doesn't linger so I don't care about that. First time I used, literally thought I forgot to rinse conditioner out. So I washed next day (usually only wash twice a week). My hair was fine, but seemed a bit heavy. Used it yesterday without the conditioner this time because I used a hair mask (which I've been using for years). Could tell immediately when rinsing the mask my hair felt really weird. Then again today everything but the top most layer is a weird filmy greasy mess! So it's not just the conditioner, but the shampoo. It leaves a gross film on my hair making it super greasy. I have an oilier scalp but I can still go days between washes. This stuff somehow has the strands extremely oily! Will definitely return this one. If I had never tried this brand quite some time ago in a Sephora Play box (remember those?) I would be kicking myself for sleeping on it! I fell in love with the “ghost oil” first, and from there I jumped in hard to the brand. The volume shampoo (and the equally awesome conditioner counterpart) have turned out to be amongst my favs! I love the smell- clean and fresh without being too overwhelming. I’m a hard sell on shampoo, but this is a nice size for the $20 price point and it has a good lather, so it should last for a decent amount of time. I also really like that VERB is both cruelty and SLS free, uses sunflower oil as a natural hair protector and vitamin B5 to add thickness to the hair. It’s rather hard to be the judge of whether or not a product produces enough volume simply Bc we all prefer differing levels of volume in our hair, but I do enjoy the way this shampoo performs in my hair, and I’ve been able to regularly produce and reproduce“voluminous hairstyles” that I’m fond of when I use this shampoo and conditioner set.Reatha24

I was not the biggest fan of Verb Volume Shampoo. I have fine, curly hair that gets weighed down easily. I have lost some volume/thickness during the pandemic for some reason, so I am always looking to thicken and give myself some lift and volume. First, I am big on scent and I don’t need my products to smell like anything specific, as long as it smells good. I didn’t like the smell of the Verb Volume Shampoo or Conditioner at all. It reminded me of Matrix Biolage, which is one of my least favorite brands and scents. I can get past the scent if the product works. I can honestly say I didn’t notice much of a difference as far as the volume my hair had after blow drying it straight. I really wanted to like this product! I was excited to try it, It smells greattt! But I naturally have super thick/long hair and it did not do a good job of making my hair feel clean. My hair still felt dirty, greasy and itchy when I got out of the shower. It also produces very little suds, which is something I need a lot of to properly clean my thick hair. I work at Ulta so naturally I love trying different products. Since it’s close to summer I wanted to stop styling my hair and instead start wearing it natural (in the summer it’s just way too hot to style my thick hair and the humidity makes it not last anyways!). I brought this product for a cheaper alternative. I was really disapointed with the results and damage ir had done to my hair. It made me lose hair, made my hair dry and frizzy. I have frizzy , fine hair and the davines love smoothing shampoo really helps a lot with the smoothing process even before I use styling aids. This range is Rich in fatty acids and vitamins, I always want products that have a lot to offer. The formula has a high percentage of biodegradable ingredients. The davines brand is also sulphate free so people that have Brazilians or any color/ chemical treatment done can use it. The packaging is reusable. Price is in the same range as those of salon products. I reverted to the love smoothing range for my daily use, I still alternate with a few others, depending on what my hair needs.monique.o

This is the best shampoo I have ever used! I received a sample of it in my subscription box and was amazed at the fact that it had more then one use in it! The shampoo spread nicely which is why there was more then one use in it. I have long hair too! It made my hair soft and shiny and healthy looking! It's hard to do that with my dry, brittle hair. Was a bit too harsh even for my oily scalp. Dried out not only my scalp which then felt itchy throughout the day, but it also dried the ends of my hair. My hair felt/was really brittle and frizzy. It also has a very strong soapy smell (reminded me of a cleaning solution smell tbh) I did not like that at all. I have 2A/2B wavy, medium porosity, thick shoulder length hair. I have been looking for a shampoo that both makes my hair feel clean after a hospital shift, and keeps my waves fluffy and smooth. This shampoo checks all the boxes and more. It smells clean and the smell lasts out of the shower. It does get foamy, which I like, but I do have to use a good amount for both my upper and lower layers. But for this price, I don't mind using a lot of product at once. Make sure to use your fingers to scrub this into your scalp, for the best effect. I wouldn't use this alone, as I can feel it leaves my hair tangled, after it has washed out. Definitely use this with their Leave-In Conditioner, for the best results (I use it as a regular wash-out conditioner as well). Pending on your curl type, you need to use the finishing products after the shampoo and conditioner. I was skeptical at first, so I purchased the "Starter Kit" for my curl type. When I used all 4 products together, WOW!!!!! My curls have never looked so good! It's not cheap when you go into buying all 4 in full size… But, oh so worth it! I've recommended this line to several people, and they have all agreed with me you have to use the entire line to really get the full benefit, especially the Curl Defininf Gel. I was very excited to try Living Proof Curl Shampoo since I had heard positive things about the brand, but was hesitant to purchase since it’s a little higher end. I have very frizzy, full, curly hair. It’s also dry from coloring and heat styling and some of the curl shape has been lost from Keratin treatment from years ago and constant straightening. Some curl styling products don’t do much for my hair. I was SO impressed with this product. I have had an issue lately when I comb my wet hair. I typically wore my hair straight and now that I’ve been wearing it naturally curly, sometimes I just twist it into a bun and this seems to give me a lot of tangles. Lately after showering, despite combing my wet hair immediately, I have bad tangling and knotting. This also results in more hair coming off on my comb. However, after using this shampoo in conjunction with the Living Proof Curl Conditioner, I didn’t have this problem. I was so happy that I didn’t have a tough time combing my wet hair and have a bunch of hair come out. It was so much easier to comb through my hair and miraculously I didn’t have an abundance of tangles or knots. The smell is so pleasant as well and my hair even held the scent the following day. So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. But overall I would definitely recommend to others. Perhaps slightly ticker hair wouldn’t have as much problem on day one – mine is just so very thin.rebecca.d

I've used this product intermittently for 15+ years. Over the last 5 or so it's become my go-to. I have fine, type 3 curls, low/medium porosity and medium density. I can't even begin to tell you how many different shampoos/conditioners I've tried, and I always come back to this set or the Ultra Hydrasource. I've never experienced any hair loss whatsoever, in fact, I have with other brands and once I go back to this it stops. The smell is absolutely amazing also! I wash my 1-2x a week with this, and in between I use a co-wash from Curlsmith. I always start with using the detangling solution from this line and brush through in the shower with my wet brush. I rinse, shampoo with this, then use the Hydrasource conditioner or a deep conditioner. I comb that through and let sit for several minutes and rinse. Even with very dark natural hair and having bleached highlights (touch ups every 3-6 months), my hairdresser brags about how healthy my hair is! I get a trim every 8 weeks, and she always tells me I don't even need it because of how healthy my ends are, even during post-COVID hair issues I was experiencing (loss and thinning). My husband also started using this when he ran out of his Redken Brews and his hair is VERY fine and thin, and he said he couldn't believe how much better his hair looked and felt (he's also a curly guy, only getting his hair cut/shaved 2-3x year). ⭐️First of all let’s get this out of the way, I was incentivized. I received these samples for free from Influenster and matrix for my honest opinion⭐️ Now that’s out of the way… Oh my hair is loving me right now… I waited until shampoo day and it was well worth it! After using the amazing shampoo I was a little skeptical that my hair would take to this conditioner because it’s so damaged and after I wash it I usually have to put a million and one conditioning products in it just to make it manageable!!! Well let me tell you this is not the case! After issuing a decent size dollop I ran it through my hair starting at the ends and working my way up to the root. Then I added a little bit of water to make it activate a little bit and VIOLA! I let it sit in my hair for about 5 to 10 minutes and then I rinse with lukewarm water. I gently towel dry my hair afterwards and went to come through with a white tooth comb. This is the first time that the comb actually ran through my hair because my hair is so damaged. I literally want to cry. If your hair is out of control and it’s breaking to no end you should really try this and give it a little time and you will see such a difference. I want to wash my hair so badly again but I know I have to wait till it’s actually dirty! The smell is so lovely and it doesn’t fade away but it’s also not overbearing. Give it a try it!! First off I thought this was like a thick lotion or cream and no, it is not.. so you’re gonna have to buy a squirt bottle or a mister of some type to go along with this product.  when you shake the bottle it sounds like water but giiiiirl it is not! I freaking love this and it’s a must have!!!! I let it dry into my hair after showering and it makes brushing easier.. I’ve also noticed my hair is in better condition!! I've used this product several times since my purchase and I've found it to be a terrific product! I typically use it before applying Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment. Also, I use it for routine cleansing of my hair. It yields a soft and healthy texture. Since using these products, I've also been using the complete line of Aphogee Keratin Products. I like this leave in conditioner it has a water like consistency. It has almost a fruity pineapple scent. It doesnt moisturize my hair but It is also an additional heat protection so it makes my life easier to not constantly try to buy a seperate heat protectant for styling. It doesnt do much hydration at all but it does the job for a tiny extra bit of moisture. If youre someone that has low perosity hair i don’t recommend as it doesnt have much hydration properties at all but maybe for someone who has an oily scalp and want a more lightweight product this may be the one for you. Overall I recommend this because it is a two in one as the heat protectant is a plus to the product.monica.a

I don't know why hair product companies combine shampoo and conditioner because rarely do any of these companies make a decent two in one product. My wife and I both have dry, coarse hair. So, we need nourishing hair care products. It's great when you can get a shampoo and conditioner that does a good job at cleaning and moisturizing hair. However, Suave Professional 2 in 1 Shampoo+Conditioner damages and strips your hair of much needed moisture. I'm not for sure what the company means by calling it "Professional". There isn't anything professional about this product, it's horrible for any hair type, even oily hair. This product does deep clean hair, but it does it a little too well! Effectiveness This product isn't good to use on any hair type. I don't know where they put the conditioner because it's not in this formula. All this product managed to do was dry my hair out, and make it more coarse than it was. I had to do a conditioning treatment on my hair after using this. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, even those with excessive oily hair or scalp. Some of Suave's products are pretty good for the low price you pay for them, but this one needs to be redesigned. Suave Professionals Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner is a fair product. Its main upsides include that it is inexpensive, easy to find at most common stores, frequently on sale or has coupons that can be found, and can be used on all types of hair. Its main downside is that with regular use of Suave Professionals Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner you get old conditioner build up after even just a few days to weeks of use. Effectiveness Suave Professionals Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner does get your hair clean and conditioned in a single step. As I listed above, the problem is with conditioner build-up feeling on your hair. This is in particular because with washing my hair I like to scrub and massage my scalp and then with conditioning I like to just condition the ends. Obviously, with a 2 in 1 product that is not possible. Scent Suave Professionals Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner comes in several different scents. I have used a couple of different ones and have not found one with a horrible scent but neither have a found one with a scent that totally wowed me either.patty28

Love this stuff. I used Pantene Smooth shampoo and conditioner for years, then switched to Nexxus when that formula of Pantene became hard to find. The Nexxus did well for a while, but then I started using this on those days when I was too lazy or rushed to use two products, and it is my preferred shampoo/conditioner now. It lathers really well; a little goes a long way. The scent is fine. Not my fave, but good enough. What I LOVE about this stuff though is that it makes my hair super shiny. I color my hair (dark blonde/light brown) and this just makes my hair really shiny and smooth, and look so healthy. While I have always used a conditioner in the past, this 2-in-1 does the trick just fine for me. My hair doesn't feel super conditioned and is a tiny bit harder to comb when wet, but I love the way it looks when I'm done. I'm having more good-hair days using this Suave.carol.c
