20 Best Shampoo And Conditioner For 2C Hair (Jan 2023 Update)

I was searching for a new go to shampoo and conditioner, something for my fine but thick, damaged and frizzes easily hair (its humid in the south), as I'm growing it out since I had to do a big chop. I did alot of searching online reading reviews on all products, that was my make or break on finally making a purchase. WTBS I'm super happy with this product and have been using it for over a month before even writing a review. The shampoo is so fragrant, it WOW'd me, it doesn't smell that strong out the bottle, I love it, but if you are sensitive to strong scents you might not like it, but after using over a week or so, you get used to its power and enjoy it alot. Lathers well, my hair feels super clean and soft, mega sleek is exactly what you get with this combination. When blow drying you can still smell the luxurious smell, faintly not over powering but where you know your hair smells SO GOOD! My frizz and fly aways are definitely helped by this product. I normally straighten my hair almost daily, but since my big chop and I'm growing out my natural hair, I want it super healthy and the least amount damaged as possible, so right now no flat iron only blow drying and it looks very good! I haven't had a haircut in over 22 weeks so I can only imagine how it would look straightened with the help of this Mega Sleek. This will be my shampoo and conditioner for a long time. The conditioner is nice and slimey (if you have hair like mine that will tangle horribly and you need a slimey conditioner just to be able to comb it after.. my hair is shoulder length now, but used to be LONG, my hair acts no different with a different length), its very conditioning and works very well!!! I have zero complaints on both these products and do recommend! Only warning is the scent if you are sensitive, you can always try and return, but give it a fair chance. I honestly love this stuff and so glad I found the right product so I can stick with something that makes me and my hair happy. FINALLY!! P.S. I leave my conditioner upside down, so its easier to squeeze it out VS shaking the bottle to get the conditioner to come out since its thick not runny.Jessica

I really love that this product truly makes my fizzy, wavy hair less frizzy and sleek! I come out of the shower with shiny hair and it seems to stay much more tame than with standard shampoos!! I am very happy with this shampoo! This shampoo has little to no scent, so it's great for people who also prefer mild-scented hair products! I usually buy Aveda smooth infusion but they changed the formula/product and reviews aren't great. So I tried this. I am completely surprised at how much I love it! This product is in my everyday haircare routine. It's an all natural ingredient shampoo and doesn't contain sulfates or silicones. This shampoo is also color-safe friendly. The shampoo itself works well for stripping product buildup, cleansing the scalp, and leaving your hair feeling clean. It lathers really well into hair. The only semi catch is that it washes and rinses better with cold water over warm or hot. The smell is amazing, I wish it was a little more potent, but if your pair this shampoo with it's conditioner in crime (as I do) the smell balances out. As should be said this product alone, like I mentioned works well, but it works best with the paired conditioner. But overall this shampoo has definitely made a good impression on my hair I hope it does the same for you:)olivia.s

The best all-around drugstore conditioner, hands down! I found out about this when I was exploring the curly girl method for my waist-length, 2A/2B waves, and this product was consistently recommended. I couldn't believe it was so affordable too! It offers the absolute best moisture-to-heaviness ratio; I'm never afraid it's not going to fully rinse out, but it leaves my hair the smoothest and softest of anything in this price range. This conditioner is amazing! Of all the conditioners I’ve ever used (I’m in my 20’s so I’ve been through a looot of conditioners!) this one is by far the best. I don’t need a huge amount of it to get my hair untangled, and when I do brush through it I barely have any tangles at all. It’s also very gentle on my hair and the smell is light and not overpowering. So impressed with this product and very glad to have found it. Okay, at first I was suspicious about this product because I really only knew Sun Bum for their sunscreen so I was a little confused seeing they did products for hair. But guys…this product is AMAZING. As someone who constantly buys products to help her curly hair, this has been a life changer. I bought this on a whim because I was like, what's the harm in another product supposedly for curly hair? Boy was I surprised!! I used to cowash because I was having such a hard time keeping my hair from getting frizzy but as a consequence my roots would get kinda greasy and sometimes my curls didn't look as hydrated as the cowash would advertise. Finallyyyyy I found a product that actually hydrates my hair, makes it look great curly, and isn't making it frizzy or puffy. The only con about this product is that I really really wish they made versions of this product in larger bottles because the conditioner tends to go quickly especially if you have long curly hair like me. Delicious! Smells so good! I bought it to control frizz in my wavy hair. I am using in conjunction with the Curls & Waves Styling Creme and it is a nice combo for soft hair. I've been using this shampoo and conditioner for just over a year now. Not really realizing my hair was getting thinner and dryer each time I washed and conditioned it. Having horrible split ends constantly even after cutting them. Months later realizing my hair was in fact very thin. In panic I tried different things to help my hair grow back, not knowing it was my shampoo and conditioner causing the hair thinning. I changed my diet, chopped my hair to see if that would help with split ends and dryness but they would Immediately come back. I never processed my hair and completely stopped using heat. I never bush my hair until it's almost dry and don't go to bed with wet hair. I use a silk pillow case. Trying everything to protect my hair and after doing some research, I found out after using this product over a year that the shampoo and conditioner itself was the problem. So I'm using this along with the matching conditoner and I'm pretty happy with the set so far. Hair Type: Virgin Fine strands, but a lot Wavy blend of 2A-2C Bra strap length Low/Normal porosity? I have traits from both low/high, so I’m not sure anymore. Hair Concerns: Dry/itchy/oily scalp w/dry ends – fun stuff lol Frizz – Oh, the frizz! Hates coconut oil and protein – my hair gets very brittle and destroyed Since I have lower porosity hair, it takes forreeevverrr to fully wet it. I usually spend the first few minutes massaging my head/roots under the water to get it saturated. I have to shampoo twice in order to actually get a decent lather and feel like my scalp is getting clean. Sometimes I just use the green NYMN shampoo that I have as the first shampoo, but really quick cause that one tends to dry out my scalp. So I pretty much just distrubute the shampoo through my roots enough to help wet my hair more and then use the PM shampoo and really massage my scalp and make sure everything is nice and clean. I use about a nickle/quarter sized glob and that seems to be enough as long as I've already done the first quick shampoo. The smell is nice and pleasant and like the conditioner, I have no complaints. It lathers up really nicely, but rinsing out it does feel a little squeaky clean, but I guess that's kind of normal with shampoos (especially if it has sulfates). I only use this shampoo like once a month (in rotation with other products I use that are sulfate-free), so I don't really notice anything negative. My scalp doesn't get itchy, but it doesn't completly cure it. I still get kind of itchy a day after it's been washed, but I'm not sure what the cause of that is from. Possibly just being dry? It doesn't really help my frizz either but doesn't make it terribly worse like some shampoos have done. Overall, I really like using this duo when I want a good cleaning. I kept reading about this duo on Reddit for being the more moisturizing products from the Paul Mitchell line. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed! I use this in my rotation of two other duos, so I probably use this like once a month and only have my experience from the occasional use and not consistent back-to-back. The conditioner is pretty concentrated so you don't need that much. I use maybe 3-4 pumps for my medium-length hair? I squish to condish and use a wide-tooth comb to distribute the conditioner throughout my hair and let it sit for about 2-5 minutes before rinsing it completely out. It's not a magical aftermath for my hair and I still have frizz, BUT I was actually surprised at how soft my hair felt when it dried. The first time I used the duo I couldn't stop touching my hair lol. Overall, I like how my hair turns out after washing my hair with the matching shampoo. If the world ever ran out of oil and we were faced with a National Oil Crisis.. FEAR NOT! My head could support the world and all its oil needs. Like for real- for real, I could wash in the morning and by lunch look like I was on day 3 of “no ones gonna know” dry pooing. I wanted a clarifying shampoo in my hair routine due to having oily hair and using dry shampoo sometimes as well! I was stuck between OUAI and this Paul Mitchell one. $30 vs $15. I picked up the Paul Mitchell one from Ulta to give it a try. I have been using it for 6 months and I really like the feel of it! Definitely give it a try in between your normal shampoo! I have been using the Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo for a month now. I really like the coconut scent, it lathers really well and I was very pleased that a little goes a long way as I have very long and thick hair. I wash my hair every 3rd day, but I wet my hair and condition it every day. I have been using the Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Conditioner the 2nd day. I always use leave in conditioner but that day I had to use double the amount of what I normally use. Otherwise my hair felt & looked dry & frizzy. The product definitely did help with detangling my hair, not totally, but to a great enough degree where I was pleased. I didn’t notice any improvement in shine though. I was hoping to experience much more of an overall difference from all the various products I have used in the past. No huge noticeable difference, and more expensive than what I currently use. I love that Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Shampoo contain no silicones, parabens, no phathalates, no petrolatum & no mineral oil. However, I remembered, that I purchased this shampoo and matching hair masque. However, for the information on Hair Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, the page is unavailable. My budget is tight at the moment, but I usually save up for what I need. I need the Hair Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque. Therefore, to increase the benefits to my damaged hair I gathered a portion of the Curl and Shine Hair Masque and combined it with a hint of tea tree oil, fresh rosemary water, rose water, and peppermint oil. Leaving in my hair for 30 minutes. My hair texture is incredibly moist. I shall continue this mixture until I am able to locate and purchase the High Porosity Moisture Replenish Masque, which I already know is perfect for the restoration of my hair. So I really enjoyed using the product on both my baby girl and my own hair. Because we have very very different hair types, I noticed some important things. She has a healthy head of very fine, very varied coil curls. The shampoo worked great on very wet hair, it lathered well for a clarifying shampoo without turning her hair into dry grass. I rinsed twice to make sure the water ran well and clear. The conditioner was light and moisturizing, as promoted. I took the time to work it into all strands while damp to slightly wet with a curly hair wet brush. Afterward rinsing the conditioner lightly, I put in the styling cream. Here I realized I'd put in way too much, but the effect was still very good. Her curls were less prone to tangling, moisturized and made beautiful defined coils. My hair is fine but wavy, not curly. However my hair is super dry. I like using heavily moisturizing products from time to time to feed my hair. The products were too heavy for fine straighter hair, but it really moisturized heavily. My hair has a healthy strong feel and a beautiful glisten that it has after a moisturizing hair mask. Overall, on straighter finer hair, I'd say use the conditioner thoroughly but rinse very well and easy on the styling cream. I didn't experience any waxiness anywhere.Thali22

This is the best curly friendly conditioner I've found so far on this site. I need a lot of product but I feel like my 2C/3A hair is much more manageable with this than with other conditioners. The downside: this is the weirdest smelling product I've ever used on my head ever. First sniff is something resembling dill pickles. It then morphs into a kind of old man's cologne, like the musky kind that's overpowering. Only to settle on a very floral mix of the previous two scents. I have no other way to explain it. . . I have been on the hunt for a natural shampoo and conditioner that wouldn't weight down my curls and so far so good with this product. The only con I would give it is that the natural smell could be off-putting for some – myself I can deal with natural, herbal smells better than fake perfume scents. This shampoo lathers well for being sulfate free and I only need about a pump and a half for my hair, which is almost down to my chest. It rinses cleanly and I follow it with the conditioner and my hair is left really soft and my waves stand out even without putting gel or mouse in it – although I often do have to style it with some sort of product but that is just the way my hair is. I would recommend this to people with wavy to curly hair for sure. My hair is long and thick and frizzy and I feel like this has helped to tame some of the frizz. I have tried other brands like devacurl and this cleans better for me (and my hair is pretty greasy at the scalp) and is a better value. Bonus points for the pump!deskar

I actually really like this conditioner. The first time I bought it, I didn't. I decided to give it another try and k actually really like it. I use it as a rinse out and when I "squish to condish". I feel more comfortable using this for squish to condish rather than a normal rinse out conditioner because those are not meant to be left in the hair and this one is. I do rinse this out though. I just purchased my third bottle. I use the spray leave in conditioner from this line as my official leave in, and I absolutely LOVE it!Proverbs31

I really wanted to love this product and I did in the first month of using it. I applied it in the shower and brushed through it really easily, it helped revive my waves, and I really liked the smell. Unfortunately after about a month of use I started noticing really bad dandruff at the front of my hairline, big dandruff flakes, and the nape of my neck was itch. Then I started getting this weird buildup on my hair after the shower. My hair just felt really tacky, when I tried to brush through it, it got tangled immediately because it was sticking to itself, I even noticed some white buildup on my brush. So the next time, I washed the brush, washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo, and made sure to wash out the conditioner well…really well. And it still left this really sticky gross buildup on my hair. It was almost impossible to even run my fingers through. I shampooed my hair twice with a clarifying shampoo and went back to one of my old conditioners and my hair is pretty much back to normal. There is still maybe one part that is still a little sticky/tacky so I'll have to wash it again. Maybe this works for some people, it just didn't work for me. I really like Not Your Mother's products but this particular one didn't quite make the cut. I love how they are free of alcohol, silicones, phthalates, sulfates and dyes. This can be used as a leave in conditioner, rinse out or just as a co-wash. It does enhance my curls and give some definition but my hair is so oily the next day, I have to wash it. Also, my hair seems extra tangley and dry the next day. Just remember that everybody's curls are different and so what might not work for me, might work for you.ashley.b

My hair is a combination of 2B, 2C, and 3A. It’s fine, very high density, and medium porosity. I bought this line because I felt my hair was falling straight and was way too heavy from lack of protein. After one wash my hair bounced back with tight curls! Just the perfect amount of protein for my hair type. The only con for me is that it’s a low lathering shampoo. Even though I always shampoo twice, I’ve found I do feel the need to clarify a bit more often while using this shampoo. Definitely not a deal breaker, though. I still love how strong and soft my curls feel so I will continue to incorporate it into my routine! Also it does help with tangling, which is amazing! Blown away by this incredible shampoo. I'm an old lady now and over the years have spent a small fortune on various shampoos ranging from cheapo own brand to expensive professional stuff. Some of it good, very good or just rubbish. I loved how this shampoo basically cleared out all the s*** from what I thought was clean hair and it even took out all the weak and loose hairs. My shower drain looked like it had hirstute issues. I was both shocked and horrified! But I no longer have random itching on my scalp. My hair is much happier, feels thicker and smells terrific! So beginning with the smell, it's very pleasant and fruity, Iand moderately strong. The packaging is….not so great as other reviewers say, so I just take the top off and put it back on when I'm done, no biggie really. I have 3a-4a hair that's moderate porosity, I always detangle my hair prior to shampoo and was in sections, it does tangle your hair back up, even if I focus on the scalp while hold the length of the hair, and pulling the shampoo down the strands, it still tangle lol. As far as the product in my hair, it feels rich and slightly moisturizing; as far as leather, this product doesn't lather in your hands, but it does moderately in soaked hair on the first wash (I wash every 2-3 weeks, so I expect to need two washes), on the second wash it lathers really nicely after getting rid of most of the product build up and my curls. are. popping after rinsing! love it. My hair is left feeling clean, and moderately stripped of it's moisture (definitely need a moisturizing conditioner/deep conditioner to follow up) and oddly soft. I have sensitive skin but have had no reactions to this product and no increase in hair shedding.Menca

I am in love with Pureology Smooth Perfection Shampoo! This is my first time trying Pureology and I had no idea what to expect. The first thing I noticed about the smooth perfection shampoo was the scent, I loved the hints of cocoa. Upon first application I decided to use a small amount and I am glad I did, a little bit goes a long way with this shampoo. I have really long hair and I only had to use a quarter size amount or less. I want to point out that I always have to use a handful of shampoo when I use my usual drugstore brand, so I was shocked by how little I had to use of the pureology. I massaged the shampoo in my hair for a good 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. My hair felt so soft and clean without feeling stripped at all. I typically have a lot of fallout when I wash my hair, but noticed less strands of hair coming out while washing. I followed up by using the pureology smooth perfection conditioner. I also use a quarter size amount or less and it was more than enough. I focused this conditioner at the ends of my hair and put whatever was leftover on my roots. I let the conditioner sit for the recommend time of 1 to 2 minutes and then proceeded to wash it out. I felt like it took no time to wash all of the conditioner out. My hair was less tangled and overall felt so much healthier than what I am used to. I used the smoothing lotion on the ends of my hair, blow dried my hair and was so amazed by the end result. The end result after I blow dried and straightened my hair was incredible. My hair was less frizzy and more straight making it so easy to straighten. I would like to add that my hair is very wavy/curly and frizzy after washing. The price for the Pureology Smooth Perfection set is a bit expensive, but honestly it is worth every penny. I got this product complimentary from Influenster and Pureology for my honest review. I really loved how this product worked for my hair. It left it so smooth and silky. It lathered really nicely and felt great when I washed it. It also rinsed out nice and easy and left my scalp feeling great. When I blew my hair dry it was like silk. Absolutely fabulous! Only negative, which I was REALLY surprised about, was the scent of this product. It was not pleasant at all to me and not something like I’ve ever smelled in a shampoo. I didn’t like it and for me that is important in a shampoo. I have other Pureology products and love their scents. it’s just this one that I couldn’t tolerate. Otherwise, I love how the product works, but due to the scent I would not buy this product. Sorry but it’s just my honest opinion. I received this product from influencer pureology, but all opinions are completely my own. I have enjoyed using this shampoo. I find that the combination of the shampoo conditioner does help smooth my long hair and does really help smooth frizz. The shampoo cleanes hair great, good lather though it can make hair feel only slightly stripped. Conditioner is a nice one that helps smooth but doesn't overdo it and cause hair to feel heavy. Both help cleanse and Condition my hair without feeling too dry or too weighed down. The heat protectant from this line is nice and I feel it helps smooth hair and help make it somewhat softer. It doesn't help much with tangles though. Overall a good smoothing system that helps with frizz. I would recommend anyone trying it out.shona.d

To preface. I'm a 25 female. Natural light brown hair, bleached low maintenance blonde. Thick wavy frizzy hair that reaches the lower bottom of my back. Prone to split ends and breakage at the bottom of my hair. No extensions. I wanted to add this so people with similar hair types can relate. So to start, I'm so torn on this shampoo… I tried it for 3 weeks and I do like that this shampoo and conditioner cuts down on my overall frizz and made my hair so much smoother and less likely to tangle which is exactly what I was looking for. BUT there is some things about this shampoo I just can't ignore. First off the smell, I just can't get past it. It reminds me of a menthol cigarette. It just smells sooo minty and lingers after washing. Some people may not mind the smell but if my shampoo is going to linger, I'd prefer it to smell like something other than strong mint and almost a tea tree smell. Second, when the conditioner sets for a couple minutes before rinsing out I've noticed that my back and neck where the product has been laying in my hair will get very cold and tingly. Almost like how when you have a breath mint you get the same effect in your mouth but it's on your body this time. This alone made me decide not to repurchase. I like my shower water very warm and I found myself constantly turning the heat up because while the conditioner set I would get extremely cold from the tingly feeling. It can be overwhelming sometimes and linger even after washing the area thoroughly and drying off. I would assume if this was a shampoo and conditioner without the minty smell that I was having an allergic reaction to it but since it has that smell I just really don't know if the tingle is intended or not. And lastly, I've noticed a lot of small breakage at the top of my hair by my scalp. I'm not prone to breakage that high and only notice it after a fresh bleach every once and a while although it is usually very rare for me. I should note that it has been 3 months since my last bleach since I am a low maintenance blonde and I was not using this product during my last bleach. I also take a lot measures to protect my hair that could be the cause of breakage that high. So at this point only thing I've changed is this shampoo and conditioner. I've decided not to finish the rest of the bottle due to concerns about further breakage. This is just my experience. Some people seem to love it but it's a no from me. I hope this helps some people on the fence after reading conflicting reviews. I saw the hair loss reviews but if the hair is coming out at the follicle then that is definitely health related not from a shampoo. Shampoo cannot cause hair loss unless maybe a severe reaction to the scalp and there's swelling and for whatever reason the follicle comes out with it but that is highly unlikely. But anyways back to my review lol this is the most hydrating gentle shampoo I've ever used it's perfect! It cleans my hair and makes my scalp feel so refreshed but my hair is detangled and moisturized! And the conditioner is so creamy and moisturizing! The scents for both are so relaxing to me and my hair and scalp are taken care of with this set of shampoo and conditioner. my hair is so soft, shiny and perfectly moisturized. Definitely for medium to thick hair types unless you have finer very porous hair then I think you'd like it. Definitely one I can rely on and will repurchase but I already got the liters so guess I'll be repurchasing after that lolHairlover

I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. I washed my hair about 5 days ago and my hair is a lot less flakey and itchy. It still feels relatively clean with some oil started to build up on my hair. By this time, my hair is usually an oily, flakey mess, but it is not now because of this shampoo! Will definitely splurge for the large bottle!sweetkiwi

Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! For me personally, I think it works great and a lot of the negative comments here are from user error but that's just my opinion.Kelsey

This is a great shampoo for people like myself with straight, fine hair but a lot of it. I can actually run my fingers through my hair while washing without any tangling or breakage! I have seen a noticeable reduction in the amount of frizz in my hair after I air-dry it, and it is more manageable to style. It does not seem to weigh my hair down, dry it out, or make it greasy at all, and I've noticed a reduction in breakage and fallout since I began using it. I like that it's color-safe as well; I go to the salon every 6-8 weeks to get my hair colored a dark brunette to add vibrancy to my natural color, and this has not stripped or faded my color at all. I would repurchase this one again, especially if the Gemstone shampoo & conditioner were out of stock (I like the scent of those a bit better).CHELSEY G.

I’ll start off by saying the shampoo smells like fresh wall paint. Not overly powerful scent though. It is a nice off white color. It easily spreads on your hair, but I don’t feel it gets it sudsy. The conditioner on the other end, smells like hair dye, from a box you an buy at the store. It’s a creamy white color, and I feel you need a ton to lather your hair up. A positive note, is the longer I left the conditioner in my hair, to condition, the comb glided right through it. No snarls, or knots. My hair didn’t smell terrible when I got out. Just not a strong scent. What I don’t like, is, I don’t wash my hair everyday. Either every other day or every two days. By the second day, my hair feels like straw. I’ve always washed my hair like that and certain shampoos and conditioners, don’t do that. My hair feels dry and dead from using this stuff. I would not recommend and I would probably not buy it, if I seen it out.Tigeress1222

To my amazement when I rinsed this conditioner out of my hair, I immediately noticed that my hair felt heavier and thicker. My hair also smelled great. At this moment, I was sold on this product. My hair is more wavy than curly – however I wanted to give this a try to see if it would help me achieve more “I naturally woke up like this” hair days than “frizzy mess”. I have to say that after trialling out the new Maui Moisture Lightweight Curls + Flaxseed Shampoo and Conditioner I’m pleased with the results. Always a fan of vegan / natural products if possible, and the Aloe Vera definitely works to hydrate and smooth. Shampoo has a good lather, and leaves hair clean but not dry, and when followed with the conditioner that melts instantly into your hair, detangling is incredibly easy (just with my fingers) When rinsed out hair still feels soft and hydrated, and when gently towel dried I did find that my hair tended to generally settle better into shinier waves rather than frizzy or flat, with minimum product. Pleased but not amazed by this product. Would recommend as a good lightweight “every other wash” option for curly haired girls in between styling.Nicole M.

This was my first time trying a curly shampoo and I have had some really good results! My hair is very fine and has a natural wave to it which I’ve never styled before. It’s also very dry and heat damaged. I used this product by shampooing my roots twice and conditioning my ends once. I found once I got out of the shower and scrunched my hair, there was a bit of a natural wave already. With the use of a curl conditioner and styling mousse, the waves held once my hair dried. I haven’t rated this 5 stars as I find my hair gets really knotty and dry. This is likely due to my damaged hair but important to note. Could also be due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to styling wavy hair. Overall, I think this product is really great and I’m keen to try more from this range.Tristan M.

This conditioner comes in quite cute packaging – I like the fact it is more square, as it makes it easy to grub onto in the shower with wet slippery hands. It is quite appealing with nice labels and easy to read instructions. The conditioner itself isn’t a thick consistency, but not runny. It has a light scent, which is quite refreshing in scent and not overpowering. After leaving on my hair for a few minutes, it was easy to wash out and left my hair feeling quite soft and smooth. Upon drying, my hair wasn’t as soft as I had expected, and I don’t feel like it helped to accentuate my natural curl. It left almost like a greasy residue on my hair, meaning I had to rewatch a few days later (usually can stretch to a week). I would recommend this to people with thicker hair.Catherine L.

I have frizzy , fine hair and the davines love smoothing shampoo really helps a lot with the smoothing process even before I use styling aids. This range is Rich in fatty acids and vitamins, I always want products that have a lot to offer. The formula has a high percentage of biodegradable ingredients. The davines brand is also sulphate free so people that have Brazilians or any color/ chemical treatment done can use it. The packaging is reusable. Price is in the same range as those of salon products. I reverted to the love smoothing range for my daily use, I still alternate with a few others, depending on what my hair needs.monique.o

This is the best shampoo I have ever used! I received a sample of it in my subscription box and was amazed at the fact that it had more then one use in it! The shampoo spread nicely which is why there was more then one use in it. I have long hair too! It made my hair soft and shiny and healthy looking! It's hard to do that with my dry, brittle hair. It is quite expensive but worth every penny and then some. I always purchase in bulk when I get my taxes so I will have enough for the entire year. It's a little expensive running about 10 to 11 dollars a bottle. Im Telling you though it's worth it. It's not just for curly hair either. I’m one to put conditioner on my hair and leave it on for 5-20 minutes depending on how I feel. My hair feels absolutely amazing when I use the conditioner. I’ve tried to stay away from coconut oil products but this product is great. Would defiantly recommend this to any curly girl! I love the pump it makes it easy to use especially since I wash my hair in the sink and water often runs over my eyes. The packaging is super cute and the coconut image across the top band let me know without having to read that there is coconut something in it. My hair did feel a lot softer after I used it. I have a sensitive nose so I can’t use some products because of the smell. This scent wasn’t too overpowering, I actually thought it was pretty good. My hair even stayed moisturized when I was twisting my hair. This shampoo does wonders for my natural hair. I love the creamy to sudsy consistency, it really makes me feel like the product is getting deep into my scalp and hair shafts. Honestly, this isn't any better than anything you could buy in Harmon's or Ulta. It smells amazing and it's a really nice quality shampoo & conditioner but nothing special. I have blonde shoulder length very fine hair so I am always looking for something that is going to perk up my hair and give me amazing volume. This left my hair way too silky with no volume at all. I tried it everyday for a week and my hair was flat and stringy. For some, this shampoo and conditioner will be awesome, but for my fine hair, it did absolutely nothing. Oh my God! I love this shampoo. It smells lovely, not fake perfume like, just a light nice smell. It really leathers up, leaves my hair and scalp clean without drying out my hair. I have hip length, dry, wavy hair, so it needs extra TLC. I have tried so many different brands and there is always something that ends up being a deal breaker. This one? It's perfect. I don't blow dry nor do I dye my hair. I use hair creams and sometime flexible styling hair sprays not related to this brand. With that said, with this shampoo I sometimes have to lather twice to really feel like I fully removed any hair products, other than that, this shampoo does lather well & has a soft smell to it. It's winter here at the moment and this shampoo is not helping with my winter dandruff, which it's okay, I scalp detox once a week & that helps for a while, not this brand either, but I'm mentioning it incase you think it helps moisturize your scalp. As for conditioner, I use a different brand too & thanks because I like how my conditioner defines my curls but unfortunately this other brand conditioner does not add volume, niece I'm done with what I have, I'll try the conditioner for Ouidad.Discovering curly hair products

This curl cream would be great for you if you’re not looking to have too much hold in your hair. It’s thick, but it doesn’t create a very strong cast for me. As you can see, my hair is already frizzing at the roots and it’s not completely dry yet. There’s no cast to scrunch out. The pump is also really hard to use and only dispenses like a dime size of product with each pump, which means I need to pump twice just to get enough for one section of hair. It is very hydrating, so I can’t knock it down too much, but it is probably my least favorite ouidad product, which is saying a lot because I LOVE ouidad. This is my new favorite shampoo. I've tried MANY from various curl lines. I have fine wavy hair that's prone to frizz. It is also slightly damaged with bleach. I don't know why hair product companies combine shampoo and conditioner because rarely do any of these companies make a decent two in one product. My wife and I both have dry, coarse hair. So, we need nourishing hair care products. It's great when you can get a shampoo and conditioner that does a good job at cleaning and moisturizing hair. However, Suave Professional 2 in 1 Shampoo+Conditioner damages and strips your hair of much needed moisture. I'm not for sure what the company means by calling it "Professional". There isn't anything professional about this product, it's horrible for any hair type, even oily hair. This product does deep clean hair, but it does it a little too well! Effectiveness This product isn't good to use on any hair type. I don't know where they put the conditioner because it's not in this formula. All this product managed to do was dry my hair out, and make it more coarse than it was. I had to do a conditioning treatment on my hair after using this. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, even those with excessive oily hair or scalp. Some of Suave's products are pretty good for the low price you pay for them, but this one needs to be redesigned. Suave Professionals Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner is a fair product. Its main upsides include that it is inexpensive, easy to find at most common stores, frequently on sale or has coupons that can be found, and can be used on all types of hair. Its main downside is that with regular use of Suave Professionals Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner you get old conditioner build up after even just a few days to weeks of use. Effectiveness Suave Professionals Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner does get your hair clean and conditioned in a single step. As I listed above, the problem is with conditioner build-up feeling on your hair. This is in particular because with washing my hair I like to scrub and massage my scalp and then with conditioning I like to just condition the ends. Obviously, with a 2 in 1 product that is not possible. Scent Suave Professionals Plus 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner comes in several different scents. I have used a couple of different ones and have not found one with a horrible scent but neither have a found one with a scent that totally wowed me either.patty28

Love this stuff. I used Pantene Smooth shampoo and conditioner for years, then switched to Nexxus when that formula of Pantene became hard to find. The Nexxus did well for a while, but then I started using this on those days when I was too lazy or rushed to use two products, and it is my preferred shampoo/conditioner now. It lathers really well; a little goes a long way. The scent is fine. Not my fave, but good enough. What I LOVE about this stuff though is that it makes my hair super shiny. I color my hair (dark blonde/light brown) and this just makes my hair really shiny and smooth, and look so healthy. While I have always used a conditioner in the past, this 2-in-1 does the trick just fine for me. My hair doesn't feel super conditioned and is a tiny bit harder to comb when wet, but I love the way it looks when I'm done. I'm having more good-hair days using this Suave.carol.c
