I feel like if you actually put enough in to coat the majority of your hair to reap the benefits you would have a greasy head full of hair. I got this because I was a bit on protein overload and while my hair has felt softer it's not done anything to repeat or seal split ends like it claims. Doing a bunch of research after this issue I've found that although coconut oil is a big fad it is actually not good for a lot of hair types. ESPECIALLY if your dealing with excess protein in your hair, it will make the problem worse since coconut oil causes protein buildup. Wish I had know that before purchasing. Seeing as how so many products have coconut oil in them that's probably how I wound up in the mess to begin with. Just a FYI for anyone else that may be having the same issue. I bought this shampoo to help with hair shedding. Not sure what it did as far as shedding and hair growth but it definitely detoxed my scalp which is amazing. This conditioner is amazing! Of all the conditioners I’ve ever used (I’m in my 20’s so I’ve been through a looot of conditioners!) this one is by far the best. I don’t need a huge amount of it to get my hair untangled, and when I do brush through it I barely have any tangles at all. It’s also very gentle on my hair and the smell is light and not overpowering. So impressed with this product and very glad to have found it. Okay, at first I was suspicious about this product because I really only knew Sun Bum for their sunscreen so I was a little confused seeing they did products for hair. But guys…this product is AMAZING. As someone who constantly buys products to help her curly hair, this has been a life changer. I bought this on a whim because I was like, what's the harm in another product supposedly for curly hair? Boy was I surprised!! I used to cowash because I was having such a hard time keeping my hair from getting frizzy but as a consequence my roots would get kinda greasy and sometimes my curls didn't look as hydrated as the cowash would advertise. Finallyyyyy I found a product that actually hydrates my hair, makes it look great curly, and isn't making it frizzy or puffy. The only con about this product is that I really really wish they made versions of this product in larger bottles because the conditioner tends to go quickly especially if you have long curly hair like me. Delicious! Smells so good! I bought it to control frizz in my wavy hair. I am using in conjunction with the Curls & Waves Styling Creme and it is a nice combo for soft hair. I use this as a prewash in conjunction with another brand Refresh sea salt and mineral shampoo and conditioner, as I believe I have folliculitis (acquired from a salon). I wash and conditioner my hair now only 2 times a week using luke warm water to rinse and throughout the rest of the week I only rinse my hair with water. I have been using both products for the last 3 months or so and have seen amazing results! I still have some light outbreaks like maybe once a month but I do believe my scalp is still in the healing process. Alone its gentle however since I use it in conjunction with the brand mentioned above I cannot speak to its effectiveness as a stand alone product.louisa.g
Shea moisture was a product I gravitated to when I first started my natural hair journey. Previously I had been using products will sulfates, alcohol, and other damaging substances that shouldn’t be on hair. Especially on my heat damaged and permed hair. Once I had began transitioning to a natural, I began using the coconut hibiscus shampoo and conditioner. It left my hair feeling soft and started defining my curls in a way I had never seen before. Your original formula was great! Magical, even. Why in the world would you change something that seriously exceeded all expectations? I discovered Shea Moisture 7 years ago, when my son's scalp psoriasis had become so out of control, nothing was working, & we were desperate for a solution. So I bought this product & was pleasantly surprised to see the thick plaques on his head begin to clear up after just one use. Nothing has ever worked better! Fast forward to no longer being able to find the product anywhere for quite some time, then it suddenly reappearing with slightly different labeling. So, I read the label…. & no. I am a licensed hairstylist, who pays very close attention to the ingredients in the products I use & recommend. After reading the label on this new formulation, not only will I NOT be buying it for my son, but I will no longer be recommending it to clients. I am honestly amazed. I used to spend hours detangling my hair itself and then try 1000 products to moisturize it. This shampoo and this conditioner? Works MIRACLES. The most moisturizing conditioner I’ve ever used for my 4A Hair. Didn’t have the greatest slip (I had to put in some work to detangle my hair) but I’m used to it. Also, this line has a detangling pre-poo which I didn’t know of (and didn’t use so that might’ve helped) but when I took of the conditioner, my hair was soooo defined!!!!!!! One of the best shampoos I’ve used. Now this shampoo has more of a liquid consistency in comparison to other shampoos, but I dig it! The key is that a little bit goes a long way. I ordered Watermans double pack of shampoo and conditioner after reading positive reviews online. I was unsure of what to expect as I know certain products work for some people and not others. I received my delivery very quickly and it is very clear that this family run business really care about their products. The shampoo came in a black bottle and the conditioner in a white bottle which makes it very easy to differentiate the products with water in your eyes. The shampoo lathers really well and has feel really soft when washing it out. I feel like a slightly stronger smell would be nice however that wouldn't stop me from repurchasing as I really do see a difference in the condition of my hair. The conditioner is a much thinner consistency and again doesn't really have a strong scent. It sometimes doesn't feel like I have put any on my hair as it is very thin however after leaving it on for a minute or so and washing it out, my hair does feel soft. My hair is slightly dry in summer anyway and Im not sure whether the products particularly helped with that but I do really love these products and would definitely buy again! It is really clear that Watermans really do care about their product and customer and I have noticed a change in the condition of my hair in such a short time! 🙂Kate

Not only did this product not work as advertised, but it actually did the opposite. if I could give it 0 stars I would!!!I ignored the bad reviews that I had seen where people talked about their hair falling out after using this product. They sounded exaggerated to me. However, the first week I used this product I noticed that every time I took a shower my hair was clogging up the drain. That has never happened in my life…..My hair is cut with clippers on the side and back, and only about 1 inch long on the top. Not even close to long enough that this should happen. I have thin hair and my hair has been thinning more as I age. I've tried a few different anti-thinning shampoos but they fall short of my expectations regarding effectiveness, scent, and ability to make your hair actually healthy. It's not just about removing DHT, it's also about making your natural follicles stimulate and your hair cells to be reinforced with ingredients that are natural and not harsh modern surfactants, silicone, parabens, sulfates, etc. My hair responds terribly to big chemical brand shampoos. I was using Shea Moisture brand shampoo with Manuka honey and got some decent results but I don't like that they false advertise the Manuka honey part (they just list "honey" as their ingredients). This shampoo and conditioner have two different smells and they're both amazing. It is relaxing to use these products because the smells are light but fresh and remind me of a tropical beach or something. I've been using this product for about two months now and I shower daily. I noticed my hair isn't necessarily getting thicker, nor is it reversing the hair loss, but I feel like it is helping slow down the thinning and my hair looks and responds more healthy. I've accepted that my genetics won't allow my hair to be thick and lush like some, but I am grateful I have hair at all still because baldness runs in my family. I've accepted that I might go bald one day despite using amazing products like this, but that's just life. You have to accept who you are. Try this product, drink more water, get more vitamins from whole foods, exercise, eat more protein. This product will work best in conjunction with a healthy life style. Ok so! I love this shampoo. This has been the only shampoo to clean my hair and bot dry it out. My natural gwols know how frustrating it can be to wash, moisturize and style your hair and then it be dry and toe up the next. I know how it feels to buy a hundred plus dollars of products to be disappointed or mixing them with new products so money isn't wasted. I washed my hair the first day I bought this and fell in love. My hair was soft. It didn't dry out after and the tea tree leave-in…girl use that too! I haven't tried the detailing conditioner yet because they were out of stock when I purchased. Probably because of that half off sale. I did find that this and Taliah's apple aloe deep conditioner work well together. My hair was shiny, easy to comb and style. I also used the Tgin moisturizer. I have a mix of 4b and 4c hair. My daughter's has 4b hair and it works perfect for her. Her wash and go's hold all day even after recess and a long day at school. My sister has used a nice amount of the leave in and moisturizer, now I have to buy more lol. I am going to try the honey mask and the anti-breakage serum. I will be leaving reviews also. I want to note I am leaving this review after a few weeks of using. I like to get a feel. I washed my hair with the Taliah apple aloe shampoo and it was giving dry and not for me. Let me start off my by saying this product is AMAZINGGGGG ! I usually have a very hard time finding the right products for my hair especially when it comes to shampoo . My hair is usually VERY dry and soaks up moisture QUICK most shampoos tend to leave my hair even more dry and brittle feeling. this shampoo along with the conditioner has done wonders for my hair. After washing my hair with this shampoo it’s left feeling so soft and manageable making my hair easier to stay detangingd throughout the wash process ! This shampo also contains amla bilberry ( both great for hair growth)dynasty.f
I have moderately frizzy but mostly straight Caucasian hair and I've been using natural, sulfate/paraben free shampoos for a year or so now. I like TGIN because it makes my hair SUPER silky and soft. The conditioner detangles so well that I can easily wide tooth comb my hair straight out of the shower. However, my hair does feel very heavy and has NO volume whatsoever after using this. I also have to wash more frequently as my hair gets oily way faster, oily to the point it looks bad. To the touch and the eye, my hair looks fantastic with this product but I might look for something that doesn't require such frequent washing in the future.Jauhnam8

This shampoo is okay. The smell is decent. Definitely not the best shampoo that I’ve ever tried. I feel like it did the assignment. It cleaned my hair, but that was it. If you have afro hair and you’re looking for a product to detangle your hair while it’s cleansing, then this isn’t the one for you. While it doesn’t claim to be a detangling shampoo, most products that are 2 in 1 like this kind of does it on its own. I have this issue with a lot of products that are catered directly to men. 🤦🏾♂️ It’s like they strip everything from what could be a normal GOOD product just to say that it’s for men. Even if that means making something not so good. However, I do love the Shea Moisture brand and I am currently using the Coconut Hibiscus Curl Shine Shampoo and I highly recommend that one..josh.g

I'm so use to using a seperate conditioner and shampoo and the process taking forever.(Shampoo hair, rinse, add in conditioner, wait up to 10 minutes, then rinse) This product is not only so much easier to apply, but I happen to get the same results. I saw a lot of influencers recommending this and saw a lot of good reviews (which must have been fake) saying this was the best shampoo. I tried it and almost immediately my hair started falling out! I had just gotten pregnant so I thought maybe it was the hormones making my hair fall out and continued to use it. After I went and looked through these reviews again I saw so many people saying it made their hair fall out! I immediately stopped using it and my shower drain wasn't filling with hair anymore. Not only did it make my hair fall out though it also made my hair super tangled, straw like, and I sneezed a lot when I used it. Listen to the bad reviews that it makes hair fall out! I just want to start by saying that I have EXTREMELY dry, brittle, color-damaged hair with tons of breakage and split ends. Immediately, the first thing I noticed about this product was the smell. It smells so light, sweet and refreshing. I absolutely loved the smell. I had quite a bit of product build-up in my hair from a couple days prior to using this shampoo, so it was expected that I'd probably need to do two washes. During the first wash, I was surprised that with about 3 pumps, the product lathered up well and was able to cleanse majority of the build-up in my hair, which included stubborn oil as well. By the second wash, with about 1.5 pumps, it lathered extremely well which told me my hair was pretty much clean at that point. After rinsing, my hair did not feel overly dry the way many other shampoos have my hair feeling afterwards. This is most likely due to the fact that it does not have any harsh ingredients in it, which is always a plus. One thing I will say, is that due to the current condition of my hair, it did get quite tangled after rinsing the product out but this is normal for me and definitely wasn't surprising. I've used it once so I will edit my review if anything changes. I have thin hair that is prone to breakage which is why I thought I'd give this a go. I've been using olaplex religiously for months, and I've tried the original Bondi boost before as well. I will say they do not compare to this. I'm very picky about the products I use, especially picky about the ingredients in them, and Bondi Boost continues to make mostly good products. I've used it once and I can honestly say my hair has never had this much volume, especially at my roots and the ends. It does feel a bit dry, but I usually use a leave in conditioner but opted not too because I wanted to see what it was like without any products. I really don't know what happened. When I bought this, I used this for a good month. I have 4c natural hair. It helped my hair grow, and it showed some pretty good results. But then slowly it began to destroy my hair, as my hair began to get dryer and dryer and show less growth. Then just a few days ago it's utterly destroyed my hair. My hair is now completely dry and every oil I put on it dries up. I can't believe that this leave in conditioner did this to my hair after all the hard work I went through to make it grow! If you're going to get leave in conditioner, DO NOT get this product, it eventually makes you hair dry.

My results with this remind me of my results using Davines volumizing shampoo. My hair is fine, pretty thick and straight with zero natural volume. I typically struggle to get my hair to hold any style, despite mousse and styling creams, etc. There is no way I would ever expect a shampoo to PROVIDE volume for MY hair without additional products… I am surprised by the bad reviews. I honestly love this shampoo! It is gentle, smells great, feels nice, washes out easily and doesn't strip all the moisture out of my hair like when I was using Aussie and Herbal Essence before this. I wanted to stop using a ton of dry shampoo on Day 2 and I still feeling gross. Now with this Monday Volume Shampoo, my hair is holding its style on Day 2 much better. I don't need as much dry shampoo. My hair feels softer and it doesn't look nearly as oily as it did before with Aussie and Herbal Essences. I would buy it again.Sacramento
I really like this conditioner! I love the bottles, they look so sleek and minimal. It doesn’t have a overwhelming smell which I like because I’m so sensitive to smells and more importantly it leaves me hair so smooth and slick and it’s super easy to brush through it even run my fingers through. My hair is colored and super beyond damaged under that color from going platinum blonde last year. I’ve tried several other products that claimed to be SLS and paraben -free and considered clean products but they left my hair dry and brittle. This however really makes my hair look and feel beautiful! When I brush my hair now, almost no hair comes out. I was so excited to have found this and then one day I read people saying it made their hair fall out and such and ever since I’ve been trying to find something wrong with it and I’m a little scared but honestly I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks daily and my hair never felt better. I was in a pinch and was completely out of my usual hair conditioner. I normally use two to three high end brands. I thought I would give this a try having seen it around for some times and reading some mixed reviews, albeit the positives were what drew me in. I am game for anything smoothing since I flat iron my hair frequently. Not to mention the inexpensive price. Boy was I wrong… I've only used this product twice and started scratching the bottom of my scalp, right by my bottom hairline and neck. It felt like a rash to me because my skin felt hot, but I didn't think much of it until my husband was startled By the red rash and scabs by my hairline and my neck. I later found by scratching I had scabs. I am not a person with a sensitive scalp, skin, body etc. This truly scared me and should be taken off the shelves. Noticed the caution type on the back and that is was made in China. I guess this spoke for itself. Pay the extra dollars and save yourself the damage and pain.
