I am m not sure what magical ingredients go into this, but the products have transformed my hair. I was forever searching for my "holy grail" shampoo and conditioner and nothing ever 'wowed' me. I have fine-medium hair but a lot of it. I struggle with my roots getting oily and my ends being dry. My hair also gets very tangly. Since using this shampoo along with aDove conditioner, my hair is shiny, smooth, and I can run my hands through it! I cannot believe how much it has done for my hair. I have been buying Dove shampoo and conditioner for many years from Sam's. Dove has changed the smell and the formula. My hair actually looks oily after I blow it dry. I have fine thin hair and the old formula always worked well for me. My hair would blow out to be light and bouncy. This new formula just weighs it down. It does not even want to take to the curling iron. All of my bottles are going back to Sam's. Dove, do you even test out your changes? We placed a delivery order recently with Wal*Mart a few items were delivered from our local store. They left the order at our door left before we realized it was the wrong order. ESPECIALLY if your dealing with excess protein in your hair, it will make the problem worse since coconut oil causes protein buildup. Wish I had know that before purchasing. I wish they had this brand in NYC!! My sister introduced me to these products. I used these products for the first time this summer in the Dominican Republic. The shampoo has a strong smell of mint but it is great because it literally gets rid of all the build-up on my scalp. It is a bit drying but the conditioner adds moisture back on your hair. The first time I tried this it was based on a recommendation from my daughter. I had never even heard of this brand before. The curl conditioner and the curl shampoo are nothing less than miraculous. I am in love with both of these products. I went to visit my mom recently. I was pulling my teardrop camper so I just wanted travel sizes. I thought I could make do for a week using some other products I had in travel sizes. No. No. No. I ended up going out and buying new bottles because I couldn’t stand to be without them.carla.b
So I was very hesitant to try this shampoo because of some of the reviews but now I regret not trying it sooner. Some of the complaints are that it doesn’t get your hair clean and i feel like that may be true if you’ve only ever used shampoos with silicones and switch to this. You have to use the clarifying shampoo first if you have never used silicone free before otherwise the moisture won’t get to your hair because of the silicone still left on your hair strands. This shampoo makes my hair so soft and has such a luxurious lather. I didn’t think I would like the nozzle but the shampoo is a thinner consistency so it comes out easily and deposits right on the scalp. I think I’ve finally found my holy grail shampoo. My hair is no longer frizzy and my curls are defined. You have to try it!paigespink
The one good thing about this shampoo is the packaging. The product goes directly onto the scalp with the perfectly sized nozzle. That's it though. The shampoo smells like men's deodorant. The smell doesn't fade, either. The shampoo doesn't rinse clean. My hands and hair felt oily and heavily conditioned just from the shampoo. It left a film on my hair that seemed to make it fall straight down. All of my waves and curls hung limply, with no definition, lots of frizz, and just awful. Now for a moment (or more accurately, more like several moments, as my review style tends to be on the longer and detailed side, generally) of truth for some of you who may have read my reviews on the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Pureology Strength Cure Miracle Filler I received from Influenster recently may have been waiting for – here are my current thoughts and opinions on the Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo, which I also recently received in my Influenster VoxBox for testing purposes in exchange for my honest and complete review. Overall, there were and are quite a number of things about this shampoo with regards to the way it works with my current (used to be different when I was younger) hair type and condition. My current hair type of relatively thin/fine, ever so *slightly* wavy when it has not been straightened, and sort of a 'combination hair' type – tending to be drier and more prone to breakage near the tips, yet more oily to regular (depending on the day, time of day, weather, my activity level that day, etc) near the top/roots/my scalp area. Some of the things I loved most so far about this after having used this shampoo for probably about seven times or so since receiving it (sometimes my hair gets so oily towards the top – in the summer particularly, that I have to wash it twice a day!) are the light and pleasant, slightly fruity smell (it makes me think strawberries, somewhat), the smoothness of the product, how nicely it lathers, and how it, in combination with the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Miracle Filler products that I also received from my box already seemed to have been making it significant difference to my hair's softness, strength, shine, and overall feeling of increased health. The main thing that I found problems *for me personally* about this shampoo, was that, while it generally has seemed to work very well for the mid-shafts to ends/tips of my hair in terms of nourishing and cleansing properties, unfortunately I found that on a number of occasions, it has not been quite cleansing or clarifying enough near my roots/scalp area for me to feel that that area of my hay was thoroughly clean – therefore, I personally had to either mix or follow up this shampoo with a different shampoo that I have found more clarifying for me personally (recently I have been using an Aussie brand shampoo – I think a volume one, but I can double check on that later). This is my genuine experience with the product so far, and I do hope it has helped you out too! My ethnicity is Asian – Chinese, specifically (my mother is from Hong Kong), and of European Jewish descent on my father's side of the family. Hopefully that may also help give you some baseline information about where my mixed-ancestry hair type originates from. This is a product that I would recommend most for people with regular to drier hair *or* for those of you who are like me with the 'combination hair' I described above, something that would be good to use on the mid-shafts to ends/tips of your hair. I like how my hair feels and the conditioner feels light and creamy. The smell is good. I think I’m seeing fewer flyaways and less frizz. Maybe it is actually strengthening my hair, but I’ve also been using a mini bottle of that 30 benefits leave-in spray-which I’m out of as of today. do notice my hair looking a bit greasy after just a day, but it is blonde-not color treated, and shows grease lines easily, especially since I’m back at work as a teacher spending much less time outside and there’s less sun now that it’s fall-and I’m down to a sulfate shampoo since ai didn’t receive the shampoo but I haven’t received the shampoo yet even though I ordered the duo. I want to try them all before investing in any liter bottles. Years back, my sister had me try her Nano Works in a light green bottle, and it was amazing, but that type is no longer made, and the Nano Gold is even more expensive than the others and not the same. I think this may be awesome-just the scent isn’t my favorite, but it’s really nice and so much better than anything else I have. First, a bit about my hair – so, you have a sense of comparison. My hair is straight and fine, but I have a lot of it, and it has been colored for years and years … everything from fashion colors to varying highlights to my current platinum hair. Basically, my hair was damaged, weak, and tired, my ends were incredibly dry, and, at one point, I even had massive breakage (as in clumps of hair breaking off when I brushed my hair – see photo). I have tried, what feels like, every single hair product known to man from supplements to specialized shampoo and conditioner to leave in conditioners to various oils – you get the idea (you can see some of those products in the background of the photo). So, I was a bit skeptical to try yet another “repair” shampoo, but I am thrilled that I did. Within the product description it states that the shampoo “instantly repairs and shows results after just one use” … well, that statement is true, at least for me. Normally when I wash my hair, after I rinse the shampoo, my ends still have texture to them (they still feel dry); however, after using the combination of BOTH the shampoo and conditioner, my ends felt as smooth as the rest of my hair. Honestly, I have not felt that smooth texture on my ends in years and years. I love that the formula contains less than 1% of synthetic fragrances (though it smells great), is 100% vegan and doesn’t contain parabens or Sulfates SLS or SLES. Yes, the price might seem high, however, you must consider that the shampoo is so highly formulated that one bottle allows for over 75+ shampoos … that’s right, 75+! This shampoo & conditioner did more for my hair in one single wash than any other product has done, period. My hair is much healthier and stronger singly handily because of this shampoo and conditioner. I got the travel size shampoo/conditioner and it's the first time I've tried this brand, though I've heard celebrities skull shill it often. Honestly, it's not bad. I can use the shampoo every day and it seems to be enough to allow my hair be combed through without any tangles. It makes me hair very soft, but my scalp feels oily within 24 hours. I'm using it in the winter as I imagine it would be a little too moisturizing in warmer weather, leading to oilier hair/scalp. The conditioner is a little too heavy for my hair. If I use it, my hair is very soft out of the shower, but flat and oily by the morning, and I have dry/oily hair type. The shampoo scent is rather unpleasant, others have described it well in their reviews. The shampoo also has SLS and parabens – all the not good stuff we're supposed to avoid. So first off I love this brand, it got introduced to me when I was at a salon. So the first collection I tried was the resistance, I love that collection it really makes a difference in my hair it makes it feel so soft and smooth and before my hair was bleach and dry and I had chunks of hair falling out. I received this as a sample for my birthday gift this year with Sephora and am sad I wasted my gift on this, but also happy I didn’t purchase a full size. I use drugstore shampoo (suave and herbal essences 90% of the time) and can say they always leave my naturally frizzy and curly hair smooth and manageable afterwards. Needless to say if those low priced products can satisfy me, I had high expectations for this shampoo+conditioner. It left my hair so brittle, dry, and damaged after just one use. I could tell even brushing my hair fresh out of the shower while wet that it was tearing through knots and already felt coarse. I applied extra argan oil to my hair to dry with and it still was so dry and I saw split ends already forming which I had never seen before. I didn’t wash my hair for 7 days after using this product, hoping any natural oil would help my hair return to a natural state before and that no permanent damage had been done. It’s been 2 weeks since my first and final use of this product and I am back to herbal essences. I regularly use Pura D'Or ACV shampoo and conditioner. I love it. However since my hair is high-maintenance needing moisture I use a lot of conditioner. I decided to order just a bottle of conditioner alone. I tried a different type to see how alternating two different lines would benefit my hair. I know that some ingredients have different properties. The number one ingredient in the ACV conditioner is aloe vera. But the mix in this conditioner keeps my hair stronger and prevents split ends on the days when I just wet it. It effectively prevents my hair from getting thinner. I have been using this shampoo for YEARS. When i first experienced clumps of hair shed I used it and immediately it halted my hair shed by half. My roots also felt lifted. It's not a miracle but it save a lot of my hair. What really helped my hair is cutting A LOT of hair off basically into a pixie cut, and getting blood work and finding the cause. For me I had severe iron deficiency anemia and never took any supplements for it. For years I had broken thin hair, that barely reached my nose in the front, Frankenstein mullet. My doctor ordered a prescription for iron and I got other pixie cut and treating my hair gently. I followed my prescription exactly. Used this shampoo, good conditioner, a weekly mask and pinned my hair up frequently to avoid friction but I blowout my hair every week with heat protectant. One year later and all of my hair goes past my chin and no bald spots. So major and life changing my boyfriend teases me saying he blinked and my hair grew. It's not thick and long but I have a good thickness lob now. I am extremely happy. Correcting my severe anemia was the biggest help to my hair but this shampoo helped control the damage. (Also my fatigue, pica, 15 hour slumbers and my inability to run with getting winded instantly gone with my iron prescription) This shampoo helped me keep the little hair I had over the years and I still use it. I was very happy to find this shampoo on Walmart.com. My first purchase of it was from Amazon and the shampoo was very thin and watery, I was not happy with the amount I would have to use to just get a lather. This new bottle from Walmart was so much better, the product was thicker and I'm not having to use as much to attain a good lather. I have been using for a couple of months and so far I have noticed that I am not having as much hair loss and I seem to have a lot of new growth. It leaves my hair feeling light and not weighed down as some shampoo do. Overall I am happy with the product, only complaint would be the smell but that is probably because of the tea tree oil, I hate that smell. My results with this remind me of my results using Davines volumizing shampoo. My hair is fine, pretty thick and straight with zero natural volume. I typically struggle to get my hair to hold any style, despite mousse and styling creams, etc. There is no way I would ever expect a shampoo to PROVIDE volume for MY hair without additional products… I am surprised by the bad reviews. I honestly love this shampoo! It is gentle, smells great, feels nice, washes out easily and doesn't strip all the moisture out of my hair like when I was using Aussie and Herbal Essence before this. I wanted to stop using a ton of dry shampoo on Day 2 and I still feeling gross. Now with this Monday Volume Shampoo, my hair is holding its style on Day 2 much better. I really like this conditioner! I love the bottles, they look so sleek and minimal. It doesn’t have a overwhelming smell which I like because I’m so sensitive to smells and more importantly it leaves me hair so smooth and slick and it’s super easy to brush through it even run my fingers through. My hair is colored and super beyond damaged under that color from going platinum blonde last year. I’ve tried several other products that claimed to be SLS and paraben -free and considered clean products but they left my hair dry and brittle. This however really makes my hair look and feel beautiful! When I brush my hair now, almost no hair comes out. I was so excited to have found this and then one day I read people saying it made their hair fall out and such and ever since I’ve been trying to find something wrong with it and I’m a little scared but honestly I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks daily and my hair never felt better. I was in a pinch and was completely out of my usual hair conditioner. I normally use two to three high end brands. I thought I would give this a try having seen it around for some times and reading some mixed reviews, albeit the positives were what drew me in. I am game for anything smoothing since I flat iron my hair frequently. Not to mention the inexpensive price. Boy was I wrong… I've only used this product twice and started scratching the bottom of my scalp, right by my bottom hairline and neck. It felt like a rash to me because my skin felt hot, but I didn't think much of it until my husband was startled By the red rash and scabs by my hairline and my neck. I later found by scratching I had scabs. I am not a person with a sensitive scalp, skin, body etc. This truly scared me and should be taken off the shelves. Noticed the caution type on the back and that is was made in China. I guess this spoke for itself. Pay the extra dollars and save yourself the damage and pain. I use to buy the "Hairitage" products because they were good on my hair and scalp. My hair was still dry even when skipping a day or two. I bought these shampoo and conditioner "Hair Food" and I have to say… I'm impressed. My hair is smooth, it's not frizzy (even with the humid air), and it smells so good! I woke up with non-crazy hair. I feel like I don't need to wash my hair the next day and my scalp doesnt feel itchy dry! I've had probelms in the past of my hair falling out, itchy dry scalp, and buying what I think would work. I recently became a WOW ambassador. Before this, I was using everything from Suave to Paul Mitchell. I thought everything was the same. I've been using the WOW Skin Science Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo and Coconut Avocado Conditioner for the past 2 weeks and absolutely love them! I've used apple cider vinegar on my hair so I was intrigued when I saw this shampoo. This shampoo works gently to clear build-up and dandruff on the scalp and nourish hair. It works into a nice lather a little goes a long way. It's left my hair clean, shiny and soft. The WOW Coconut Oil Conditioner is ideal for dry or stressed hair. When I opened the conditioner I exclaimed "WOW this smells fantastic!" It makes me feel like I'm on an island sitting under a palm tree and relaxing. It smells that darn good! I used the WOW products hoping to improve my dandruff issues and detoxify my scalp. The ACV shampoo lathered well, washed out easily, and left a noticeable apple cider vinegar scent. It made my scalp oily and itchy after a day or two. My scalp is not usually oily. My scalp flaked more than usual. I was using it exclusively, but then I began alternating its use with my usual shampoo, which does not make my scalp oily, because I was concerned that the WOW products were too harsh. The conditioner is very thick. I use it on the ends of my hair, not on the scalp. It has a noticeable coconut scent. The labels state there are no sulfates, but the usual sodium lauroyl sulfate is replaced with Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate. I do not know if this is comparatively healthy. It has other chemicals, including sodium benzoate. I did not notice more shine to my hair. These WOW products may not be the best ones for me and my hair concerns. This product is in my everyday haircare routine. It's an all natural ingredient shampoo and doesn't contain sulfates or silicones. This shampoo is also color-safe friendly. The shampoo itself works well for stripping product buildup, cleansing the scalp, and leaving your hair feeling clean. It lathers really well into hair. The only semi catch is that it washes and rinses better with cold water over warm or hot. The smell is amazing, I wish it was a little more potent, but if your pair this shampoo with it's conditioner in crime (as I do) the smell balances out. It’s smells absolutely amazing 🤩 however if you don’t like the smell of toffee/fudge I probably wouldn’t recommend it as if smell quite strong. I’m one to put conditioner on my hair and leave it on for 5-20 minutes depending on how I feel. My hair feels absolutely amazing when I use the conditioner. I’ve tried to stay away from coconut oil products but this product is great. Would defiantly recommend this to any curly girl! I have been using this castor oil for 4yrs now. I will not use anything else on my hair. My hair was falling out I had to wear fake ponytails to make it look like I had hair lol. I got my hair braided and bought this to try it out as an oil for my scalp while it was braided and when I tell you this is a miracle in a bottle believe me. I hope they never change the formula because this is the bees knees of hair care. I love Hask, but this shampoo is terrible. It did nothing for my curls! It left my hair lifeless, didn't help my curls at all, and the frizz…omg the frizz! I don't think I've ever seen my hair this frizzy before in my life! No idea what's going on with this formula, but it, unfortunately, made my hair worse and I will never try it again. In the trash it goes. I have types 2b and 3a hair.Alicia
I got the Husk curl care detangling conditioner and it left my hair easy to manage. The consistency of the conditioner was just right. Not too thick but not too runny. It applied well and evenly to my hair. The conditioner coated the strands and wasn't messy. I usually let conditioner sit on my hair with a plastic cap for 10-20 minutes. I was able to comb through my hair with minimal tangles and the small ones I had were easy to get through. My hair felt soft and moisturized. The conditioner is vegan and had no sulphates or parabens. It's complete with coconut oil, argan oil, and vitamin to give my hair what it needs to be manageable and look great.Ajann1983
LOVE IT!!!!! I was to the point I was going to cut my hair short due to always having tangles easy, frizzy, puffy hair I had it…. I was going to give this Detangler conditioner and shampoo a try first. It smells good I use both every other day I even tried the leave in spray on my hair. Now I will say all 3 kind of made my hair greasy after a day or two, but just the shampoo and conditioner worked great for me. My hair seems straightened after a shower, shiny and smooth. I die my hair a lot and so I never really had shinny smooth hair before this product I absolutely love it……….Brittany
