Now for a moment (or more accurately, more like several moments, as my review style tends to be on the longer and detailed side, generally) of truth for some of you who may have read my reviews on the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Pureology Strength Cure Miracle Filler I received from Influenster recently may have been waiting for – here are my current thoughts and opinions on the Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo, which I also recently received in my Influenster VoxBox for testing purposes in exchange for my honest and complete review. Overall, there were and are quite a number of things about this shampoo with regards to the way it works with my current (used to be different when I was younger) hair type and condition. My current hair type of relatively thin/fine, ever so *slightly* wavy when it has not been straightened, and sort of a 'combination hair' type – tending to be drier and more prone to breakage near the tips, yet more oily to regular (depending on the day, time of day, weather, my activity level that day, etc) near the top/roots/my scalp area. Some of the things I loved most so far about this after having used this shampoo for probably about seven times or so since receiving it (sometimes my hair gets so oily towards the top – in the summer particularly, that I have to wash it twice a day!) are the light and pleasant, slightly fruity smell (it makes me think strawberries, somewhat), the smoothness of the product, how nicely it lathers, and how it, in combination with the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Miracle Filler products that I also received from my box already seemed to have been making it significant difference to my hair's softness, strength, shine, and overall feeling of increased health. The main thing that I found problems *for me personally* about this shampoo, was that, while it generally has seemed to work very well for the mid-shafts to ends/tips of my hair in terms of nourishing and cleansing properties, unfortunately I found that on a number of occasions, it has not been quite cleansing or clarifying enough near my roots/scalp area for me to feel that that area of my hay was thoroughly clean – therefore, I personally had to either mix or follow up this shampoo with a different shampoo that I have found more clarifying for me personally (recently I have been using an Aussie brand shampoo – I think a volume one, but I can double check on that later). This is my genuine experience with the product so far, and I do hope it has helped you out too! My ethnicity is Asian – Chinese, specifically (my mother is from Hong Kong), and of European Jewish descent on my father's side of the family. Hopefully that may also help give you some baseline information about where my mixed-ancestry hair type originates from. This is a product that I would recommend most for people with regular to drier hair *or* for those of you who are like me with the 'combination hair' I described above, something that would be good to use on the mid-shafts to ends/tips of your hair. Shampoo looks pretty peachy pink and smells delicious. The smell is not overpowering and does not linger long. The shampoo lathers pretty well so I need less product than most of the drugstore shampoos. Which makes me happy as it makes it worth the price. This 266ml bottle lasted me almost 6 months. Shampoo is clarifying and is supposed to remove product buildup which it does perfectly. It reduced my hair breakage and my hair felt less frizzy. But I found the shampoo to be a little too strong for my sensitive scalp. Specially in winters it gave me dry flakes and aggravated the dandruff. Although in warmer months I did not face this issue. So I would not recommend it for dry and sensitive scalp. But it can be really good for oily scalp and warmer months.anubhuti.t
First, a bit about my hair – so, you have a sense of comparison. My hair is straight and fine, but I have a lot of it, and it has been colored for years and years … everything from fashion colors to varying highlights to my current platinum hair. Basically, my hair was damaged, weak, and tired, my ends were incredibly dry, and, at one point, I even had massive breakage (as in clumps of hair breaking off when I brushed my hair – see photo). I have tried, what feels like, every single hair product known to man from supplements to specialized shampoo and conditioner to leave in conditioners to various oils – you get the idea (you can see some of those products in the background of the photo). So, I was a bit skeptical to try yet another “repair” shampoo, but I am thrilled that I did. Within the product description it states that the shampoo “instantly repairs and shows results after just one use” … well, that statement is true, at least for me. Normally when I wash my hair, after I rinse the shampoo, my ends still have texture to them (they still feel dry); however, after using the combination of BOTH the shampoo and conditioner, my ends felt as smooth as the rest of my hair. Honestly, I have not felt that smooth texture on my ends in years and years. I love that the formula contains less than 1% of synthetic fragrances (though it smells great), is 100% vegan and doesn’t contain parabens or Sulfates SLS or SLES. Yes, the price might seem high, however, you must consider that the shampoo is so highly formulated that one bottle allows for over 75+ shampoos … that’s right, 75+! This shampoo & conditioner did more for my hair in one single wash than any other product has done, period. My hair is much healthier and stronger singly handily because of this shampoo and conditioner. I have been using the Shea Moisture conditioner for approximately two weeks and was provided them by #trywithtopbox as a #freeproduct for my honest review. I have fine, thin, waist length hair that is naturally blonde starting to go grey, that is prone to split ends and I would describe as normal to oily. I don't wash it daily but every 2 to 3 days it's just too much work to do daily. I used the conditioner as directed and found that my hair combed out fairly easily even while still wet which was great as it tends to tangle quite badly when I don't use a good conditioner on it. My hair was soft and shiny and manageable. The container for this feels slightly greasy when I handle it during use even after rinsing them off. The conditioner bottle uses a pump as a dispenser which is great but I couldn't get the original one that came with the bottle to function. I replaced it with one I had but I noticed that the thick conditioner dries and forms a plug that takes several pumps to force out. Overall I would say this was a good product that worked as advertised and if someone was looking to try this I would recommend it, I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me given the frequency with which I wash my hair.MargarethaM

I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I don’t know if it was just mt bottle or a design flaw, but I ended up switching the pump with another bottles I have with a thicker tube, and have not had any problems since.RoseyB37

Please do not buy this if you have curly hair. I recently got a balayage and i wanted to make it a bit healthier so i got this because of the great reviews. I saw one bad review saying it burned their hair and they lost their curls. I chose to ignore that bc most reviews were really good. I used this as instructed on the bottle and i only used 10mL (up to the first line) so not too much product. It felt really hot as soon as i applied it which I thought was odd. I proceeded to washing it off and in the shower while wet it felt soft and hydrated so i was happy. After i got out of the shower and began brushing it, tons of hair started to fall out and my hair normally doesnt shed. Then i started to notice how stringy it got, it was so fragile it kept breaking. It then started to get really frizzy and my curls were gone. I applied leave in conditioner from shea moisture to try to help and although it did help a little with moisture, my curls are basically gone it looks like i have huge heat damage and they all look crumply. I have no defined curls anymore. Extremely sad but i will work to get them back just dont make my same mistake.Liz

This is my first time using a Pacifica hair care product. I have used a sunscreen of theirs in the past and I liked it so I thought I'd give this a shot.Pros:Smell is nice. My favorite scent in my favorite shampoo. The scent is not overwhelming (I am scent sensitive) so it goes along way to be able to enjoy the wonderful tropical scent. Love the packaging design of this in my bathroom. Brightens it up immediately and looks very pretty. However the quality of the plastic is awful and I keep hurting my hand while opening it because it’s difficult to grab the lid to open, and the edges are sharp enough that I’m worried I’ll cut myself one day. Onto the product! It smells like soy and vanilla. I wish the vanilla was more toned down. But fortunate it’s not at an unbearable level for someone sensitive to fragrance like me. As far as sulfate-free shampoos go, this lathered up decently okay (by which I mean not like completely drying) so long as you used a decent amount. Not super softened or magical but it did keep the brassiness of my bleached hair under control. For sulfate free types I think it’s alright if you like the brand and packaging.
This is a really nice silky hydrating leave in conditioner. I like to use it after the shampoo and mask from the same line and I love how it makes my hair feel and look. I apply this from mid to ends and comb and style as usual. It leaves my hair soft and shiny without being too heavy. It has some of my favorite nourishing ingredients like argan oil and marula oil. Just like the shampoo, it has a slight lower PH which is what I look for in hair care products since they hydrate but are less damaging. It’s perfect for every day hydration and helps a lot with frizz control, especially on thick wavy hair like mine! I just love the moisture I get from the Drunk Elephant Silkamino Mega-Moisturizing Shampoo for my hair and my scalp loves it too! This really is a deeply moisturizing shampoo I truly feel my hair gets plenty of moisture and feels healthier with use, looks shinier, softer too, and even stronger. It does a great job too at deep cleansing away all my product buildup I have in my hair from all the hair products I use which is a plus, plus dirt, sweat, and oils too it cleanses away. What I like is that soothes my scalp too which is something I was looking for while also looking for something with all these other properties so this shampoo really does it all and my scalp does feel so much better and healthier too! This shampoo has a nice thick formula so all you need is a little to lather up so it’ll last you a long time and I only use a small amount on my past below my shoulders wavy bleached hair. I’ve also noticed my hair is more manageable with less frizz due to the great moisturizing effect and how it is free of all the bad ingredients I’m sure plays a role. Highly recommend!Vmuller2

To preface. I'm a 25 female. Natural light brown hair, bleached low maintenance blonde. Thick wavy frizzy hair that reaches the lower bottom of my back. Prone to split ends and breakage at the bottom of my hair. No extensions. I wanted to add this so people with similar hair types can relate. So to start, I'm so torn on this shampoo… I tried it for 3 weeks and I do like that this shampoo and conditioner cuts down on my overall frizz and made my hair so much smoother and less likely to tangle which is exactly what I was looking for. BUT there is some things about this shampoo I just can't ignore. First off the smell, I just can't get past it. It reminds me of a menthol cigarette. It just smells sooo minty and lingers after washing. Some people may not mind the smell but if my shampoo is going to linger, I'd prefer it to smell like something other than strong mint and almost a tea tree smell. Second, when the conditioner sets for a couple minutes before rinsing out I've noticed that my back and neck where the product has been laying in my hair will get very cold and tingly. Almost like how when you have a breath mint you get the same effect in your mouth but it's on your body this time. This alone made me decide not to repurchase. I like my shower water very warm and I found myself constantly turning the heat up because while the conditioner set I would get extremely cold from the tingly feeling. It can be overwhelming sometimes and linger even after washing the area thoroughly and drying off. I would assume if this was a shampoo and conditioner without the minty smell that I was having an allergic reaction to it but since it has that smell I just really don't know if the tingle is intended or not. And lastly, I've noticed a lot of small breakage at the top of my hair by my scalp. I'm not prone to breakage that high and only notice it after a fresh bleach every once and a while although it is usually very rare for me. I should note that it has been 3 months since my last bleach since I am a low maintenance blonde and I was not using this product during my last bleach. I also take a lot measures to protect my hair that could be the cause of breakage that high. So at this point only thing I've changed is this shampoo and conditioner. I've decided not to finish the rest of the bottle due to concerns about further breakage. This is just my experience. Some people seem to love it but it's a no from me. I hope this helps some people on the fence after reading conflicting reviews. I've switched to Joyco kpac reconstructing shampoo that has also given me the same desirable results so far with a much better smell, no breakage, and most importantly no tingly feeling on by skin.Lexi
I saw the hair loss reviews but if the hair is coming out at the follicle then that is definitely health related not from a shampoo. Shampoo cannot cause hair loss unless maybe a severe reaction to the scalp and there's swelling and for whatever reason the follicle comes out with it but that is highly unlikely. But anyways back to my review lol this is the most hydrating gentle shampoo I've ever used it's perfect! It cleans my hair and makes my scalp feel so refreshed but my hair is detangled and moisturized! And the conditioner is so creamy and moisturizing! The scents for both are so relaxing to me and my hair and scalp are taken care of with this set of shampoo and conditioner. my hair is so soft, shiny and perfectly moisturized. I used the Hydrate shampoo, conditioner, and Color-Fanatic Leave-In spray all together, so my options are based on how these products performed with each other. Hydrate Shampoo: the first thing that I noticed about this shampoo is the smell of it. I personally think it smells slightly like Lavender, but i could be wrong about that. Overall the shampoo lathered well and i can honestly say that my hair felt clean after using it. Hydrate Conditioner: like the shampoo, the first thing i noticed about the conditioner was how it smelled, except the conditioner smelled very minty (which i am not at all complaining about). Since it was minty, it did have a tingly feeling on my scalp that i found to be nice. I left the conditioner on for about 10 minutes instead of 1-2 minutes, but i found that my hair did feel very soft afterwards. After washing my hair I followed up with the leave-in spray, but my boyfriend also tried the shampoo and conditioner and the smell from the conditioner actually stayed in his hair for a few days. Color-Fanatic Leave-In Spray: i used this spray before blow drying my hair. I found that the mist of the spray was actually perfect. I know that isn’t explaining much, but i found it to not be too think and chunky or too thin. I like all the benefits listed on the bottle even though I haven’t fully noticed all of them yet. Overall i can say I really enjoy using these three products together. My hair isn’t normally dry, but I did notice my hair feeling more hydrated and softer after these products. My hair even looked shiny, but not an oily kind of shiny, a shine that made my hair actually look healthy, which I didn’t think was even possible. I totally recommend these products if you’ve been interested in them. The price may be a little high but i found the results to be worth the price.

I took a chance years ago! My frizz is under control just by shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels LIGHT (not weighed down by other frizz products). Every time I get my hair done at the salon, my hair feels SO soft. The last time I went in March, I finally asked my hairdresser what she uses and this is what she showed me. I immediately bought it that same day and have been using it ever since. My hair looks and feels SO much healthier, and I've definitely seen more growth than before. I bought this during Ulta’s liter sale along with the corresponding conditioner, and it’s wonderful! My hair is left feeling clean and easy to manage! The formula has a great scent and lathers well. I usually double wash , and this shampoo is perfect. It doesn’t dry out my hair, and I really feel like its bringing moisture back into my hair. One thing to note is since I started using this formula, my hair dries STRAIGHT. I’ve had naturally , ringlet curly hair my entire life. It’s very bizarre. I decided to try a different brand so I went with this one due to high reviews. The smell is nice but unfortunately it makes my hair feel really greasy for some reason and weighs my hair down. Wow! Best shampoo I have ever used by far! I have spent years trying to find a shampoo that doesn’t make my hair a tangly matted mess but this cleans my scalp and give my hair slip and hydration at the same time, I have dry curly / wavy hair that gets split ends and breaks easily and I have noticed a significant different in the ends and over all appearance and feel of my hair since using this shampoo and the correlating conditioner. The shampoo has a decent lather and you don’t need much of it as a little goes a long way. The only downside is that for me this product was a lot more than what I’d usually spend on a shampoo/ conditioner but is definitely worth the investment for something that actually works for my hair for once.sophie.b
I really wanted to like this but I just couldn’t so I returned it. The scent was the most part for me… I expected the same scent as the original Moroccanoil Hair oil so maybe my expectation was high? I have long hair (almost touches my coxis; half of it is dyed because I’m trying to achieve a melted effect.. from my natural dark brown to grey) So my ends need help to maintain its elasticity, moisture and prevent split ends. I got everything from this brand that I was able to afford to start taking care of it . I used it for the first time this week and couldn't believe how effective this hair mask is. The smell is amazing which lasts for 2 days, the texture is creamy smooth and a little goes a long way. I applied it after shampooing on my towel dried hair, allowed it to sit for about 20 minutes despite the 2-4 minute instructions due to my hair is very damaged by bleaching and coloring. After using hair masks, I prefer my hair to air dry without styling and wait 2 days before washing again. My hair was visibly smooth, hydrated and clean with much brighter blonde. So I was looking for something to restore my hair after years of chemical damage from bleaching and just overall dryness but I couldn't afford the holy grail Olaplex. I saw the Joico sale so I tried the defy damage line and I am soo glad I did!!! My package arrived yesterday I used the shampoo & conditioner once and I'm shocked. Unlike most people I don't use any matching conditioner with shampoo counterparts because I find that it never works for MY hair regardless of brand. I have curly THIN hair that is highlighted blonde from a natural dark brunette (damage is present from bleach) my scalp is oily and ends are dry. I actually use this on my scalp and roots only and let it rinse through to the bottom of my hair with warm water. I use a cheaper "Hask" coconut conditioner for my ends BEFORE and AFTER shampooing. Rinse the conditioner with cool water and do so THROUGHLY. Please remember this is a professional product that unfortunately just expects you to know how to properly wash and rinse your hair. It's an amazing shampoo for my hair but maybe it would be different if I didn't do it the way I've learned works best for my hair. I actually like the smell it's light and does smell like the salon. I was able to try this product in exchange for review, which I was thrilled about as I have always wanted to try this particular Shea Moisture line. I have heavily highlighted and have attacked it quite regularly with hot tools. Add in pandemic self-done haircuts, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle. After two weeks of using this shampoo, twice a week, My hair feels moisturised but perhaps a little too much so. For my particular hair, I cannot use this is my go-to shampoo, but more as a twice a month or so treatment shampoo. The texture is not like any I have tried before, it is a semi-viscus liquid that pours out like a watery honey, not at all like a standard shampoo, so pay attention in the shower! The smell is a comforting warm vanilla. For my hair this product is a little too moisturising to use with every wash, but if you have coarser hair than mine, I definitely say give it a whirl. I will repeat purchase, as this shampoo does strengthen & restore my hair due effective natural components: Jamaican Black Castor oil, Fair Trade Shea Butter & Peppermint. It's sulfate-free, eligible for colored hair, by the way. The scent is really extremely pleasant like parfume for hair. My man loves the aroma & makes compliments. The only minus that I detected is that as It nourishes hair, my hair becomes one day ahead in comparison with other shampoos with cleaning leading role, not restoring. I was able to try the Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox & was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind this is a restorative shampoo it's very unconventional in the way it looks, smells & shampoos the hair. I was very skeptical but was used to it by the 2nd to 3rd time using it. It doesn't suds up/lather as much as a regular shampoo but it does if you really massage the hair well & give it a second shampoo. The color doesn't bother me as I said you get used to it. My hair didn't have the traditional "clean" feeling the first time I used it but there's a definite silkier almost more creamy feel to the hair after using it which is nice. This was a nice surprise! After using it for a few weeks now, I feel like again, I'm used to it & it leaves the hair clean & amazingly hydrated. Keep in mind this is all because this shampoo is sulfate-free (which is a good thing!). So give it a chance! You wouldn't necessarily use this if you have a ton of product in your hair you need to get off (lots of hairspray, gel etc,). This could be used for the second round of shampooing. So recommend to use this when you need some hydration & your hair is heat damaged. Also big plus it didn't burn my eyes which is my number one test with any shampoo especially when I saw the highlighted ingredients as peppermint & apple cider vinegar. I detest mint in general (esp in hair care) & have used products with lots of tea tree oil etc. & do not like it. So points for being subtle smelling & not harsh. Honestly didn't even notice. I have naturally curly unruly coloured treated for decades hair that I use hairdryer & straighteners on. I further abuse my hair by swimming outdoors a lot over tge summer in the sunshine. I was a big Aveda Smooth Infusion fan until I finally listened to my Tony & Guy hairdresser & started using these Olaplex products to repair my badly treated hair & maintain the colour. I am now an Olaplex convert. My hair condition instantly improved after one wash, it smooths my hair better than Aveda Smooth Infusion. It is more concentrated that the Aveda Smooth Infusion so a 250ml bottle of Olaplex lasts much, much longer than the Aveda Smooth Infusion. I bought this for my wife and she use this with the No 0, No 3, and the No 5. I must say the combo of these together is amazing. Her hair was pretty much destroyed frome excessive styling, blow drying and box dyes. We could totally tell a difference after just one use of these products together. Her hair looks healthier, has more shine and manageability, doesn't look as damaged, she isn't yanking out knots when she wakes up and brushes her hair plus it just feels so soft and looks smooth not frizzy. It seems like the texture, strength, and even the way her hair is laying is totally changing. The smells not over powering which is something we both love because sometimes hair fragrances clash with perfumes but not Olaplex it's perfectly balanced. The bottles aren't the biggest which was kind of a let down but you don't need near as much as other shampoos so it seems like it will last just as long as a big bottle of regular shampoo. It lathers and rinses out amazingly! The pure magic that comes out of those bottles can't be beat and it's so worth it! The duo of the conditioner, shampoo and other products used together can't be matched or beat! Her hair and her self imaging is healing and getting better after each use. I’ve been having issues with thinning and breakage for a couple of years now and it really does seem like I’ve tried almost everything. I kept my expectations low but since a lot of friends have used and liked Olaplex I decided that it would be worth it to try and so far it has been. Obviously it can’t cure thinning due to stress/genetics but the texture of my hair has approved tenfold since I started using the No 0, 3,4,and5. Since my hair is quite fine and thin I use the bond building treatment and hair perfecter 1-2 times a week for the past month. Honestly I am stunned at the results. Since it’s not a permanent fix but a treatment, you do have to continue using it. I did read somewhere that there’s no way for it to permanently fix your already damaged hair but it can definitely treat it while the damage grows out. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, there’s no apparent residue, and it felt healthier and looked healthier after only the first try and has consistently improved since. I’ve tried so many products that just seem to sit on top of my hair and reflect light instead of actually improving anything texturally. I was also stunned at the quality of the product, not just in effect but a little really does go a long way in each one of my products. It smells and feels amazing. I could clearly go on. I’m just so pleasantly stunned! I had read some very negative reviews and was prepared to just take a chance and I’m thrilled and impressed with the results. I had high expectations for this line of haircare by living proof and they sure delivered! This shampoo is amazing at clarifying and defrizzing my hair. I only use the shampoo on the top portion of my hair to prevent any drying of the my ends. I noticed after using it my flyaways were significantly less frizzy. I have wavy color treated hair so my hair is extremely damaged and always frizzy right after the shower. Using this line has changed the game my hair looks like I just got it washed at the salon after the shower and blow drying. This product had generally good reviews so I decided to give it a try because I liked the scent of it and the promise of healthy hair. What I discovered instead was after several weeks, my hair became more and more brittle, tangled and fell out more. My scalp became unbearably itchy and flaky, not minor dander, seriously huge flakes all over my scalp. I do not bleach or process my hair and rarely use heat tools. As soon as I changed to another product (not a dandruff product) in one wash it was a tremendous relief. No more dry itchy scalp and hopefully my hair recovers from all the breakage and fall out. I have fine, straight, color treated, aging hair. I was looking for a shampoo/conditioner for aging hair since I have noticed that my hair has become more fragile and prone to breakage as I've gotten older. This came up on a few "best shampoo" lists when I did a search related to my issues. I'll start with the scent. Definitely not very pleasant. Someone described it as peppery. To me, it smells like bug spray covered up with perfume. The only reason I decided to keep using it is that the smell does fade after blow drying. Next, and most importantly, I've used this for about 5 weeks and have seen no noticeable improvement as far as strengthening/smoothing my hair goes. Like others experienced, my hair was also more tangled after using and you have to use a lot to get a good lather. Last, considering the high price, they really stiff you on the quantity. So I want to start by saying I live in the desert and have super thin dry hair, so I was SUPER excited to try this product (I used all four products – shampoo, conditioner, mask, and leave in condition together). I used all four products for this account: At first I was only going to give this a 3 because on day one of hair being washed, I feel like my hair still ends of feeling and looking really dry (especially the tips – see photos). BUT day two my hair looked/felt better, and day three my EVEN better! I showered all three days, it only used the products the first day, so you can see the progress of how my hair softened, my curls came out, AND I LOVED how my hair felt day 3/4. Normally with silicone products day 3 I HAVE to wash my hair again because the product is so heavy at my roots, whereas I LOVED how these products made my hair feel several days later. I still took off a star because of how dry my hair feels on day one. I have to suffer through one day of my hair bit feeling so great to get to better hair days, and I don’t really love that aspect. I've used this product intermittently for 15+ years. Over the last 5 or so it's become my go-to. I have fine, type 3 curls, low/medium porosity and medium density. I can't even begin to tell you how many different shampoos/conditioners I've tried, and I always come back to this set or the Ultra Hydrasource. I've never experienced any hair loss whatsoever, in fact, I have with other brands and once I go back to this it stops. The smell is absolutely amazing also! I wash my 1-2x a week with this, and in between I use a co-wash from Curlsmith. I always start with using the detangling solution from this line and brush through in the shower with my wet brush. I rinse, shampoo with this, then use the Hydrasource conditioner or a deep conditioner. I comb that through and let sit for several minutes and rinse. Even with very dark natural hair and having bleached highlights (touch ups every 3-6 months), my hairdresser brags about how healthy my hair is! I get a trim every 8 weeks, and she always tells me I don't even need it because of how healthy my ends are, even during post-COVID hair issues I was experiencing (loss and thinning). My husband also started using this when he ran out of his Redken Brews and his hair is VERY fine and thin, and he said he couldn't believe how much better his hair looked and felt (he's also a curly guy, only getting his hair cut/shaved 2-3x year). ⭐️First of all let’s get this out of the way, I was incentivized. I received these samples for free from Influenster and matrix for my honest opinion⭐️ Now that’s out of the way… Oh my hair is loving me right now… I waited until shampoo day and it was well worth it! After using the amazing shampoo I was a little skeptical that my hair would take to this conditioner because it’s so damaged and after I wash it I usually have to put a million and one conditioning products in it just to make it manageable!!! Well let me tell you this is not the case! After issuing a decent size dollop I ran it through my hair starting at the ends and working my way up to the root. Then I added a little bit of water to make it activate a little bit and VIOLA! I let it sit in my hair for about 5 to 10 minutes and then I rinse with lukewarm water. I gently towel dry my hair afterwards and went to come through with a white tooth comb. This is the first time that the comb actually ran through my hair because my hair is so damaged. I literally want to cry. If your hair is out of control and it’s breaking to no end you should really try this and give it a little time and you will see such a difference. I want to wash my hair so badly again but I know I have to wait till it’s actually dirty! The smell is so lovely and it doesn’t fade away but it’s also not overbearing. Give it a try it!! The Oribe hair products are seriously pure luxury and this masque is no exception! I received this product for free from Influenster in exchange for an honest review. I love that this masque is simply integrated into my normal weekly hair wash routine! After shampooing, you just use this instead of your regular conditioner which I appreciate there is no added hassle. The smell is phenomenal without being overpowering. When I use this, I find I have much less frizz – however I do find that I have to wash my hair more frequently. My normal wash schedule is once a week with Bumble and bumble Invisible Oil shampoo + conditioner; with this Oribe masque I have to wash about every 4-5 days. My hair was soft but afterwards in its worst. It dried out my hair so much that it looked absolutely horrible even dough I just had hairs cut 2 weeks ago. And after only one day it looks like 3 day hair. I am so disappointed as I spent so much money and feel so stupid to believe all these influencers and other paid reviews. Please be honest when reviewing. As there is no way that this shampoo is any better then any other cheaper one. There is nothing special, not even smell is present. I don't get this hype. Before I share my thoughts on this product here is some background info: I have very fine thin hair that does not like to hold any kind of style for more than an hour. I typically use Pantene’s Sheer Volume Shampoo and conditioner for my hair and it has been doing the job. Pantene has stopped making this exact kind and I have started trying different products to see what would work best for my hair. I received a sample size of this shampoo and conditioner with a big purchase of other hair care products. It looks really pretty coming out and smells amazing. It lathers up very nicely as well. The whole time I was working it into my hair I couldn’t stop thinking of where I had smelled this before and then it hit me. This shampoo and conditioner smells very similar to the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Italian Zest perfume which smells lemony and gives off a limoncello vibe which is a huge plus to me. Another pro of this shampoo and conditioner is that it is very light weight and doesn’t weigh down my hair which for someone like me is very important. Both rinse off well and don’t seem to leave any behind in my hair. Brushing my hair out afterwards was nice and easy. I would probably use this again but not consistently.MsA2023

I got highlights in my hair in May and since then, my hair has been the driest it's ever been. I had tried so many different masks, shampoos, conditioners and nothing was working. I would get out of the shower and my hair would be in knots so bad that if I tried to brush it, my brush would get stuck and if I tried to pull, I would loose dozens of strands of hair in one tug. My hair had never been like that and I was panicking. I knew that highlights required maintenance but it wasn't until nexxus that I found a combo that worked for me. I've only washed and conditioned my hair three times with these products and already it's almost as soft as it used to be. I could literally cry, I am so happy. I was hesitant to use this shampoo after smelling it, but the reviews are amazing. My hair wasn't damaged, but I could use the extra healthy moisture from this shampoo. After my first use, I noticed my hair felt dryer and almost crispy. I had just colored my hair the day before, so I figured it was that. I used it again 2 days later and it was worse, I now have split ends. I'm working on growing my hair out after damaging and buzzing it off a year ago, so I do not want to have to trim it. I'm using tons of split end mending products now to fix what this shampoo did. Maybe it's too strong for my hair? Well I usually look at ingredient labels, but after seeing reviews of not only this product, but the whole Nexxus line, I thought it wouldn't matter. Title says it all! I bleach my hair (constantly) because I can never seem to stick to just one color. Now when you do this as often as I do your hair starts to not only look like but feel like a broom too. I used this shampoo and the same brand conditioner. After one use it made my hair less frizzy and brought bounce back to my hair, like it actually moves when I do and it's not stiff! Definitely recommend buying multiples of this since it's on sale at the time of writing this (2 for $12!). Although I don't see what some people are upset about as far as their hair going back to being greasy right away, I think it may just be because everyone's hair is different and requires different types of care.

My husband introduced me to this product, and let me tell you….it is a GODSEND! We are never using any other shampoo and conditioner ever again. We both have very fine, silky, straight hair. Sadly I was disappointed with the performance of this conditioner. I had high hopes, considering that it is formulated for dry curly/coily hair types I expected it be great. I was underwhelmed by this product to say the least. While it did feel good in the shower and aided with detangling, as soon as I rinsed it off my felt like sandpaper! Not only was my hair hard to detangle because my cuticles got rough, I had some breakage because of the dryness. I am perplexed and disappointed because I wanted this to be my holy grail product b/c it's gluten free and has great ingredients. My hair has been in need of TLC recently, so I decided to get a cut, color, and new shampoo and conditioner. I was looking for something that was color safe, cleans well without stripping hair, smelled nice, and would leave my hair shiny and soft. I think this shampoo does all of these things. I used both the shampoo and conditioner, and it left my hair very soft and shiny, even after blow-drying and straightening/curling. It is very bouncy and smells nice. One thing about the fragrance – although I love the way my hair smells the day after using the shampoo/conditioner, the fragrance is very very strong when you're washing your hair. I was even sneezing a bit in the shower because of how strong it was. I wish the fragrance was a bit softer at the time of application (this is why I gave it four stars). It also doesn't lather quite as well as I am used to, but the final product was clean and beautiful, so that's ok. I have longish, naturally wavy hair with bits of frizz around my crown and baby hairs. I think it works great on my hair type for softness and shine. Will repurchase, with fingers crossed that they work on the amount of fragrance in the formula! I would also definitely recommend that it be used with the accompanying conditioner.Bastacio07
