So my hair was damaged from bad salon experience and left there with blonde hair alright but also alotta my hair falling out too…. More than I should’ve had. I’ve had it done before I know what’s normal and not for this process but it Has taken me months and months to regain some of the structure and strength back but only from using products like this. I have huge blonde hair care regiment but recently was sent this samples from Pinchme.com and I fell in love with this product the moroccanoil blonde perfecting shampoo and conditioner color care. I could tell after one use the different in my strands as far as they felt fuller softer and a lot stronger too. I have already purchased my own and is in its way in the mail as we speak. But I can’t say enough about the shampoo seriously the strength added to my hair after using and the toning feature was amazing. I have different depths of blonde and I felt that this made those lighter money pieces that perfect icy I’ve been looking for + strengthening in other product and only found here. Others I have to use separate product .. with moraccanoil u get it all in one tube!! Smell is beautiful the product color is rich purple and it won’t leave ur hair heavy or with residue. But clean and healthy feeling. I used as shampoo then rinsed … swueeze out all water from hair with hands and reapply from front hair line back to ur ends and massage thru without sudsing up the product and leave set for 10/15 minutes depending on how porous ur hair is. (Do this for more toning effect) Mines was needing toned again and is pretty porous so I left in longer… but not too long. Anyhow I’d recommend to anyone who has chemically treated and or damaged hair needing give it some TLC. Price is fair considering other brand and they dint work as well as this one trust me.. I’ve wasted a lot of money trying to find the right ones to maintain my blond locks!! Also I left my conditioner in for about 5minutes too. But my hair is very dry of course. I think this is the combo for me! Today is my first day using the Moroccanoil Purple Shampoo and the Moroccanoil Purple Conditioner, and here's my thoughts: Both the shampoo and conditioner have a rich purple color, which is nice since most conditioners I've tried in the past are much lighter in color compared to their shampoo counterpart. Both smell really nice, too. I left the shampoo in for about 5 minutes, rinsed, and then I left the conditioner in for probably 5+ minutes before I rinsed with cold water. This is the best toning combination I've ever tried. After one use, I can definitely tell the difference in less brassiness. I wouldn't recommend leaving both products in as long as I did, however – I purposely did so to see if I could get a dramatic result, and a few strands have a very light violet/gray tone to them, which I love! I will definitely be buying both the shampoo and conditioner soon since I think both will help keep my hair healthy and a nice shade of blondechopper923
It has got rich, creamy and lathering texture, don’t need to use a lot of product and it lathers through the hair well. The colour is brightly deep purple and pigmented. The scent feels a bit strong during washing but after washing and through the day hair smell nice, refreshed and fragrance is mild. After washing hair is easy to brush but once hair is dry combing is a bit harder, hair feels dry and like straws therefore it causes some hair breakage. There is much difference in hair tone, hair looks much brighter, shiner, radiant, lighter and improved in colour. On the second day hair still feels clean and fresh in scent, however I have noticed that this shampoo dries out hair and strips off it’s natural moisture. Another minus for this product that it stains under nails and some dry skin areas which takes time to wash off. I would not use this product frequently but occasionally (once a week or once in two weeks). But I would definitely recommend for colour improvement, brightening and lightening dullness in colour.irina.g

For me, this product is an absolute winner. I have ashy highlights which just love love love to go yellow on me. In one shampoo, leaving it on for just one minute, it toned them down. By the second, leaving it on for two minutes, they're almost perfect. Next time, I will leave it on for the full three minutes, but I preferred to go slowly just in case my results were not as expected. My highlights look so good, it looks as though I went to the salon and got them toned. That is how good it is. A few tips for those who have complained about this shampoo. First, it is Sulfate free AND silicone free. It is a color toning shampoo, NOT a conditioning shampoo. I shampooed right before using it with Living Proof Restore, and then did a solid, good conditioning, my hair was left in great shape. It also lathered just fine. If you hair is full of silicone residue, then maybe this shampoo is not enough to remove it. If you are not used to a sulfate and silicone free shampoo, you may feel like your hair is straw, but honestly, it feels like many other sulfate and silicone free shampoos if you don't condition. If you want a conditioning type of product there are other purple shampoos and conditioners that promise more conditioning. I LIKE this one BECAUSE I can then continue to use my own conditioning regimen. Second, I wore gloves just to be sure the first time. No purple lingered on my hands at all, but, I was sure to rinse them off after applying and lathering and again after rinsing. No staining at all Third, was with any toning shampoo, I suggest starting slowly to see how your hair reacts. I'm SO HAPPY I went through with buying this product. I was extremely hesitant after reading all the reviews about how it stained peoples hands/scalp, caused burns, and caused hair loss. The back of the bottle does recommend spot testing first to make sure you don't have a reaction, so if you're worried about that then definitely do a little test first. It did leave my hands a bit purple, but the purple washed off after the rest of my shower and it's definitely worth it for how good my hair looks now. I have not experienced any of the other symptoms, and this product has taken the gross yellow tone out of my bleached hair, and it looks like I just got it toned at the salon! It also looks and feels so incredibly healthy even though it has been bleached. I've already had people comment on how good and shiny it looks, and I've only used it twice. THE most effective toning shampoo I’ve ever tried! I am a big fan of [brand:olaplex] products (with the exception of and [brand:olaplex] No 6 Bond Smoother 100Ml). I’ve used multiple bottles of the [brand:olaplex] No 4 Bond Maintenancetm Shampoo Mini 33 Oz/ 100 Ml before, so I was excited to try this purple toning version. I use this as much normally would when on the shampoo step, maybe I let it sit a couple minutes more but does not take much time to make a difference in terms of neutralizing any warmth. I only shampoo my base and not the ends, rinsing the shampoo out is enough to cleanse my ends. My hair feels thoroughly cleansed, silky, and hydrated. This formula is gentle and does not make my hair dry or difficult to comb out. The formula is perfect thick and lathers very nicely. I would this this is most effective for level 9/10 blondes, but perhaps would neutralize subtly on darker levels. Be prepared to rinse your shower down bc you will get dark purple spatter from using. I received this product in exchange for a review. This product works pretty well but not out of the ballpark amazing. I am 6 months pregnant right now and currently have a hard time keeping up on my platinum blonde hair. That being said thai product is pretty concentrated and does it's job pretty well for the ends of my hair that are still very much blonde. I really don't like the smell of this shampoo I think it is overwhelmingly resemblance of being in a salon and am pretty glad the scent does not continue far beyond the rinse. As for if it improved my hair structure I would say I didn't see any improvement there at all but I still have a full bottle despite using it daily. The yellow tone though is pretty much gone though. I know the going trend is purple/grey platinum blonde, which I don't think this would be the best for, but if u want to keep your warmth without being brassy, this works better than any purple shampoos I've used. I have a lot of Irish heritage, pale skin and eyes, lots of light freckling in sun touched spots and firey red and gold inside my naturally brown follicles that shines very brightly in sun light. The warmth has become more pronounced with age and even the stripes of brunette that are left untouched after doing lightening balayage are a redening chestnut/auburn. the warm blonde really compliments my coloring so I'm not complaining, I just don't want it to be too yellow or too brassy. all of the other purple shampoos I have tried made my hair look almost green, even redken which I read was specifically recommended by experts for warm blondes, and it didn't matter how quick I rinsed it out after applying,, it clashed with my hair coloring so badly.. I hated it. I was so thrilled to try this and find it actually worked perfectly, no brassy-ness or ugly yellow, just perfectly golden honey warm blonde and auburn/chestnut. The packaging is great you can defiantly tell it’s a good quality product from that. The smell, can’t quite put my finger on what it reminds me of but it does smell good. I had a little staining to my hands but no where near as I have had with other products (Does say to wear gloves if you don’t want staining). Lathered up well and made my hair feel clean and fresh after. As for the colour it defiantly took some of the yellow tones out after one use. I absolutely love this shampoo and I’m so glad I’ve found a shampoo that does as it says! This shampoo is very very pigmented, and because of that it does stain (fingers, hands, tiles, etc..) If you rinse it off immediately then it will wash off tiles but it can stain nails for a couple days. The first time I used it I left it on my hair for around 2 minutes and it did take away the yellow at my roots and left my hair almost white, but the 2nd time I used it, the shampoo left my hair grey in places after leaving it on for 5 minutes, so definitely be weary of times when applying. I don’t mind this, but I know others may not like this effect as much. This product absolutely blows others out of the water. I've tried lots of violet shampoo/conditioners to take out the brassiness of my blonde highlights. I discovered Fudge several years ago and it works wonders but it's sometimes hard to find in the USA. The key to this shampoo is to not leave it on too long…5 minutes is perfect to remove the brass without leaving your hair looking bluish/purple. Yes, your cuticles will turn purple right after rubbing it through your hair but if you use a fingernail brush and some body soap right away in the shower, it comes right now. Now for a moment (or more accurately, more like several moments, as my review style tends to be on the longer and detailed side, generally) of truth for some of you who may have read my reviews on the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Pureology Strength Cure Miracle Filler I received from Influenster recently may have been waiting for – here are my current thoughts and opinions on the Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo, which I also recently received in my Influenster VoxBox for testing purposes in exchange for my honest and complete review. Overall, there were and are quite a number of things about this shampoo with regards to the way it works with my current (used to be different when I was younger) hair type and condition. My current hair type of relatively thin/fine, ever so *slightly* wavy when it has not been straightened, and sort of a 'combination hair' type – tending to be drier and more prone to breakage near the tips, yet more oily to regular (depending on the day, time of day, weather, my activity level that day, etc) near the top/roots/my scalp area. Some of the things I loved most so far about this after having used this shampoo for probably about seven times or so since receiving it (sometimes my hair gets so oily towards the top – in the summer particularly, that I have to wash it twice a day!) are the light and pleasant, slightly fruity smell (it makes me think strawberries, somewhat), the smoothness of the product, how nicely it lathers, and how it, in combination with the Pureology Strength Cure Conditioner and Miracle Filler products that I also received from my box already seemed to have been making it significant difference to my hair's softness, strength, shine, and overall feeling of increased health. The main thing that I found problems *for me personally* about this shampoo, was that, while it generally has seemed to work very well for the mid-shafts to ends/tips of my hair in terms of nourishing and cleansing properties, unfortunately I found that on a number of occasions, it has not been quite cleansing or clarifying enough near my roots/scalp area for me to feel that that area of my hay was thoroughly clean – therefore, I personally had to either mix or follow up this shampoo with a different shampoo that I have found more clarifying for me personally (recently I have been using an Aussie brand shampoo – I think a volume one, but I can double check on that later). This is my genuine experience with the product so far, and I do hope it has helped you out too! My ethnicity is Asian – Chinese, specifically (my mother is from Hong Kong), and of European Jewish descent on my father's side of the family. Hopefully that may also help give you some baseline information about where my mixed-ancestry hair type originates from. This is a product that I would recommend most for people with regular to drier hair *or* for those of you who are like me with the 'combination hair' I described above, something that would be good to use on the mid-shafts to ends/tips of your hair. I like how my hair feels and the conditioner feels light and creamy. The smell is good. I think I’m seeing fewer flyaways and less frizz. Maybe it is actually strengthening my hair, but I’ve also been using a mini bottle of that 30 benefits leave-in spray-which I’m out of as of today. do notice my hair looking a bit greasy after just a day, but it is blonde-not color treated, and shows grease lines easily, especially since I’m back at work as a teacher spending much less time outside and there’s less sun now that it’s fall-and I’m down to a sulfate shampoo since ai didn’t receive the shampoo but I haven’t received the shampoo yet even though I ordered the duo. I want to try them all before investing in any liter bottles. Years back, my sister had me try her Nano Works in a light green bottle, and it was amazing, but that type is no longer made, and the Nano Gold is even more expensive than the others and not the same. I think this may be awesome-just the scent isn’t my favorite, but it’s really nice and so much better than anything else I have. First, a bit about my hair – so, you have a sense of comparison. My hair is straight and fine, but I have a lot of it, and it has been colored for years and years … everything from fashion colors to varying highlights to my current platinum hair. Basically, my hair was damaged, weak, and tired, my ends were incredibly dry, and, at one point, I even had massive breakage (as in clumps of hair breaking off when I brushed my hair – see photo). I have tried, what feels like, every single hair product known to man from supplements to specialized shampoo and conditioner to leave in conditioners to various oils – you get the idea (you can see some of those products in the background of the photo). So, I was a bit skeptical to try yet another “repair” shampoo, but I am thrilled that I did. Within the product description it states that the shampoo “instantly repairs and shows results after just one use” … well, that statement is true, at least for me. Normally when I wash my hair, after I rinse the shampoo, my ends still have texture to them (they still feel dry); however, after using the combination of BOTH the shampoo and conditioner, my ends felt as smooth as the rest of my hair. Honestly, I have not felt that smooth texture on my ends in years and years. I love that the formula contains less than 1% of synthetic fragrances (though it smells great), is 100% vegan and doesn’t contain parabens or Sulfates SLS or SLES. Yes, the price might seem high, however, you must consider that the shampoo is so highly formulated that one bottle allows for over 75+ shampoos … that’s right, 75+! Out of 3 blonde shampoos, this is honestly the best I've tried. I was set on the Paul Mitchell violet shampoos when I began highlighting my hair, once I went full platinum I stocked up on the Not Your Mother's blonde shampoo, but none really seemed to keep my color 'natural' looking or vibrant. I actually received 2 sample bottles of this from Ulta's beauty bag promotion, and I am stretching it out as far as I can! I've actually found that I really do *not* want to go back to the PM or Not Your Mother's products after this, they simply don't cut it. Being platinum requires a lot of upkeep and I believe this particular brand does deliver the "perfect blonde". My hair, with other products, tends to fade to a yellowish uneven looking blonde after several months, something I'm not satisfied with; using this product I noticed an immediate result and my hair looked more ashy after wash rather than a yellow or gold. It keeps my platinum looking vibrant but I would NOT recommend for daily use! I try to shower every 3 days so I don't strip the color from my hair, and use this every other wash. Be sure to actually leave the product on your hair for the allotted time as it actually does need the time to absorb. Beware! It WILL tint your hands! I used a bit too much one wash and it also left a purple tint in a few spots on my hair, however this was not a permanent nor lasting effect. To deter from the purple, I, like other users, mix this in with my daily shampoo to create a lather. Highly recommend this shampoo to those who are unhappy with the way their salon blonde is fading//having trouble keeping the proper blonde after washing. I had been on a personal quest to find my perfect purple shampoo for over 5 years, so I have tried many different products ranging from high to low price tags. I used the product initially like the bottle says, lather and then rinse. However that was not long enough. I don't have super yellow hair to be honest. Its a pretty dull blonde but still super blonde. I wanted a more ashy, calm blonde, whatever that means. Anyway i found what worked for me after (three times!) was leaving it in 10 minutes. Everyone's hair is different but I left it in for ten minutes twice and finally got the result I wanted. I got this product due to a lot of good reviews. I use professional purple shampoo but ran out so figured id give this a go. MISTAKE. After 3 uses my hair is falling out in huge clumps, like cleaning your hairbrush once a month clumps. It's horrible! The smell is so chemical smelling and when trying to wash it out my hair felt like straw and I couldn't even put my fingers through it!!! I had to add conditioner on top of the shampoo just to be able to break through and wash the shampoo out. Worst mistake and I'm taking it back to ulta. Why is this product even a best seller? Be careful and mindful when purchasing this do your research on the ingredients and what is used to make this product work as I wasn’t aware it would quit literally strip my hair of thousands of dollars worth of work away from my hair …. this product has like a lightning agent in it as it bleached my roots and made my hair super ugly …. and quit literally damaged your hair it did this in as little as 3 minutes for me … so be careful not sure who this product work for ? Or why or what it’s intent is ?? but I thought it was a toner but it does the opposite it like strips / bleached ur hair leaving more work to be done … and patches !! Quit literally ruined my hair … maybe it’s for super platinum all over blondes it just lights and ads the smallest of tint tone to it.. if your looking at taking out any temporary colours like pinks or any playful colours off your ends to put another colour in this would help that and help get it out as it has stripping and bleach agents only thing I would use it for.Customer
so for the past around 8 years I've been using Shimmer Lights, since everyone would recommend that to me. Recently I tried Matrix purple shampoo, which worked the same way as shimmer lights. Where if you leave it on too long, you get purple hair… and I thought that was the case with all purple shampoo. Until I watched a Brad Mondo video and he reviewed this shampoo and it looked great in the video. But was it in real life…? My hair is a little yellow too after the bleach, which the shimmer lights, would just turn it to purple, which I thought was better then yellow. Finally tried this shampoo, and it takes a couple uses, esp since I had tinted purple hair as well. But it became a nice white platinum color as stated. Which was super shocking to me, that it never left any tint of purple, no matter how long it was on for. Brad mondo, referred to the scent as candy, i would say it's more of a floral scent. Doesn't feel as damaging as shimmer lights either. And around the same price range too, which is nice. I will definitely be turning over to this shampoo from now onJillian

Received the matrix Unbreak My Blonde Sulfate-Free Strengthening Shampoo as part of the trial and immediately loved the slimline packaging. The beautiful purple hued bottles look great in my shower. The smell is subtle and citrus; very refreshing without being overpowering. The shampoo comes out of the bottle easily and is quite thick in texture and I used about 1.5x the recommended amount for my fairly long hair. Although a thick formula, the product spreads easily and you get the feeling like it has reached every strand of hair, which I find not all shampoos do unless you use excessive amounts. After my initial wash, I didn’t notice any differences and felt my hair didn’t last as long as usual. However, with my subsequent uses, I can definitely get a few days out my hair. I’ve noticed that my hair feels soft to touch, and in particular, my ends seem brighter. Overall, my hair feels noticeably hydrated and shinier. The product warns of increased skin sensitivity, but I haven’t noticed anything during my use; I used this product alongside the conditioner and the leave in treatment. My hair is fine, wavy, 6 month old balayage on the lengths with a very oily sensitive scalp that I need to wash daily. I've been using the shampoo, conditioner and Leave in treatment on and off for the past 2 weeks to see how it slots into my routine. I have to say I quite like it, the results of "unbreaking my hair" were not dramatic but it did take the crispy feeling from the ends of my hair down a notch. The conditioner is a thick consistency which smooths lovely over the hair. I was expecting it to be more conditioning from the claims, but it did the job. The scent of the product is hard to describe, kind of perfumey but not strong, with hints of a sweet lemon. It is quite subtle and you can not smell it for very long, which I like in a product. The packaging is a gorgeous purple shade and the slim bottles fit perfectly in my shower caddy, and its easily dispensed. There is a warning on the label for sunburn as the product contains AHAs, so that is something to consider especially in the summer if you are bad at applying body suncreens or burn easily. Would I purchase this product? As yet I'm undecided, I haven't seen the amazing results on my hair that I was expecting from the hype around citric acid hair products, and I have other conditioners that weigh my hair down less but are more moisturising. I bought this product with high hopes of improving the condition of my dyed blonde balayage hair before my next hairdresser's appointment. It wasn't in too bad of condition just a few split ends as I was due a trim but otherwise long and relatively healthy. I had used it for the first time and was underwhelmed, my hair felt a little dry afterwards but not awful, so I thought ill just leave the conditioner on a little longer next time. My gosh what a mistake that was my hair matted while wet in a way I've never seen it before, and it squeaked as I tried to brush it out. I'm still paying the price now my hair is in the worst condition it has ever been in! Shampoo looks pretty peachy pink and smells delicious. The smell is not overpowering and does not linger long. The shampoo lathers pretty well so I need less product than most of the drugstore shampoos. Which makes me happy as it makes it worth the price. This 266ml bottle lasted me almost 6 months. Shampoo is clarifying and is supposed to remove product buildup which it does perfectly. It reduced my hair breakage and my hair felt less frizzy. But I found the shampoo to be a little too strong for my sensitive scalp. Specially in winters it gave me dry flakes and aggravated the dandruff. Although in warmer months I did not face this issue. So I would not recommend it for dry and sensitive scalp. But it can be really good for oily scalp and warmer months.anubhuti.t

I have been using Lanza shampoos & conditioners for the last 6 years and started using this shampoo about 7 months ago. It smells amazing and I find that it does lather in and rinse out well. I get my hair strand lightened once a year and started using this 7 months ago after my last strand lighting when my stylist recommended it. I have enjoyed it as much as I have enjoyed the rest of Lanza's shampoos and my hair has maintained it's brightness so well without turning brassy. l thought l would try Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo and Conditioner which is formulated for color-treated hair. l started using over a week ago and I’m just not liking it. You get what you pay for, its cheap and doesn’t lather up all that well, rinses out fine. My hair is reasonably manageable to comb through whilst wet but not great. My hair also feels greasy after just one day! It has a faint sweet candy smell to it. I can’t see me buying these again.susan.c
Needed a color shampoo and conditioner and picked this up at target. This shampoo smells nice. It is not a thick formula unlike other shampoo I’ve used. It was kinda a con for me since I like my shampoo formula to be thick. I have been using the Shea Moisture conditioner for approximately two weeks and was provided them by #trywithtopbox as a #freeproduct for my honest review. I have fine, thin, waist length hair that is naturally blonde starting to go grey, that is prone to split ends and I would describe as normal to oily. I don't wash it daily but every 2 to 3 days it's just too much work to do daily. I used the conditioner as directed and found that my hair combed out fairly easily even while still wet which was great as it tends to tangle quite badly when I don't use a good conditioner on it. My hair was soft and shiny and manageable. The container for this feels slightly greasy when I handle it during use even after rinsing them off. The conditioner bottle uses a pump as a dispenser which is great but I couldn't get the original one that came with the bottle to function. I replaced it with one I had but I noticed that the thick conditioner dries and forms a plug that takes several pumps to force out. Overall I would say this was a good product that worked as advertised and if someone was looking to try this I would recommend it, I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me given the frequency with which I wash my hair.MargarethaM

I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I don’t know if it was just mt bottle or a design flaw, but I ended up switching the pump with another bottles I have with a thicker tube, and have not had any problems since.RoseyB37

Redken products very rarely ever let me down. The much improved Blondage line took the place of the previous Blonde Idol line which did not lather very well but did neutralize brassiness just the same. The Blondage is less floral smelling than Blonde Idol but still has a clean scent to it that isn’t overwhelming or powerful to sensitive noses. The only “slightâ€� downside to Blondage is that the purple pigmentation will definitely stain skin if not thoroughly rinsed out – trust me, I walked around at work with a lavender tinted front hairline once. 🤣barbara.f
I have tried every purple shampoo out there and most leave me disappointed at best. So, trying Redken Color Extend Blondage Color Depositing Shampoo I wasn't expecting too much to be honest. However, I got much more than expected when I recieved these items complimentary to try and review. First, it smells incredible! Secondly, it is extremely pigmented with a rich purple color that lathered up easily from the smallest amount, I really worked it in to my hair from the roots to the tips. I didn't use gloves during the application and my hands rinsed clean without staining. After a couple minutes I rinsed thoroughly and am amazed at the results from just one use. My hair is considerably less brassy from the first use, almost as if I had used a toner. I did tone my extensions with this shampoo mixed w a small bowl of water and they came out perfectly matching my hair, a cool ash blonde. I'm going to apply on dry hair tomorrow and let it set for 10 or 15 min to see if a more dramatic look can be achieved before washing out. I followed this with Redken Cat treatment and lastly Redken color extend blondage conditioner to leave my hair soft, smooth and #Redkenready. I tried this when I ran out of my normal shampoo and conditioner. I’m indifferent for a couple of reasons. First the pros are it smells great. My hair felt good and soft and the blonde looked great. The cons are I noticed more than normal hair loss with this shampoo. From other reviews I’ve read it’s happened to many others and I have sensitive skin and sometimes it would irritate me and sometimes it wouldn’t. For me, this product is an absolute winner. I have ashy highlights which just love love love to go yellow on me. In one shampoo, leaving it on for just one minute, it toned them down. By the second, leaving it on for two minutes, they're almost perfect. Next time, I will leave it on for the full three minutes, but I preferred to go slowly just in case my results were not as expected. My highlights look so good, it looks as though I went to the salon and got them toned. That is how good it is. A few tips for those who have complained about this shampoo. First, it is Sulfate free AND silicone free. It is a color toning shampoo, NOT a conditioning shampoo. I shampooed right before using it with Living Proof Restore, and then did a solid, good conditioning, my hair was left in great shape. It also lathered just fine. If you hair is full of silicone residue, then maybe this shampoo is not enough to remove it. If you are not used to a sulfate and silicone free shampoo, you may feel like your hair is straw, but honestly, it feels like many other sulfate and silicone free shampoos if you don't condition. If you want a conditioning type of product there are other purple shampoos and conditioners that promise more conditioning. I LIKE this one BECAUSE I can then continue to use my own conditioning regimen. Second, I wore gloves just to be sure the first time. No purple lingered on my hands at all, but, I was sure to rinse them off after applying and lathering and again after rinsing. No staining at all Third, was with any toning shampoo, I suggest starting slowly to see how your hair reacts. I'm SO HAPPY I went through with buying this product. I was extremely hesitant after reading all the reviews about how it stained peoples hands/scalp, caused burns, and caused hair loss. The back of the bottle does recommend spot testing first to make sure you don't have a reaction, so if you're worried about that then definitely do a little test first. It did leave my hands a bit purple, but the purple washed off after the rest of my shower and it's definitely worth it for how good my hair looks now. I have not experienced any of the other symptoms, and this product has taken the gross yellow tone out of my bleached hair, and it looks like I just got it toned at the salon! It also looks and feels so incredibly healthy even though it has been bleached. I've already had people comment on how good and shiny it looks, and I've only used it twice. It works great as a shampoo too, although I'm considering buying the No. 4 without toning for my scalp and saving the purple shampoo more for the lighter ends of my hair/using it as a weekly treatment for toning. THE most effective toning shampoo I’ve ever tried! I am a big fan of [brand:olaplex] products (with the exception of and [brand:olaplex] No 6 Bond Smoother 100Ml). I’ve used multiple bottles of the [brand:olaplex] No 4 Bond Maintenancetm Shampoo Mini 33 Oz/ 100 Ml before, so I was excited to try this purple toning version. I use this as much normally would when on the shampoo step, maybe I let it sit a couple minutes more but does not take much time to make a difference in terms of neutralizing any warmth. I only shampoo my base and not the ends, rinsing the shampoo out is enough to cleanse my ends. My hair feels thoroughly cleansed, silky, and hydrated. This formula is gentle and does not make my hair dry or difficult to comb out. The formula is perfect thick and lathers very nicely. I would this this is most effective for level 9/10 blondes, but perhaps would neutralize subtly on darker levels. Be prepared to rinse your shower down bc you will get dark purple spatter from using. Before finding about this product I had a hard time looking for a product that would help my oily and flaky scalp. I’ve used other brands and it has developed a build up on my scalp and it made it even more oily especially when I don’t wash my hair within 3 days. First time I’ve used this product I was surprised at how much you get just from a little pump! Do not use too much as it is foam! I apply a pump on my hair and the smell is amazing and notice that it worked immediately. I feel like this product has changed a lot. What happened to the strong, beautiful Cote d'Azur scent? It used to smell so strongly that it would fill your whole bathroom with this gorgeous bergamot and musk aroma. It doesn't lather as well as it used to (even for a sulfate free shampoo); didn't feel like my hair was clean even after two rinses. I couldn't imagine using this if my hair was really oily. My hair was pretty smooth and my highlights looked a little brighter, but my hair was also very, very dry and lacked shine. The conditioner wasn't any better. I decided to try out this combo shampoo and conditioner and upon first and second use I was pretty impressed. I used them both the day after a partial highlight and found that it kept my hair light and soft which can be hard to accomplish the day after a highlight. Sometimes my hair would come out of the first at home wash fluffy and a little dry. With the product itself I'm happy with, however here are some issues: 1. If you keep the bottle standing upright the product can be hard to get to the top. Even shaking it multiple times only a portion of it gets comes to the cap. I found that I had to keep it sitting upside down in order not to sit in the shower shaking it for a minute or two. 2. If you keep the bottle upside down the product comes out of the cap from the back and the sides. Also, when you use it normally, a lot of the product gets caught in the cap when you open and close it. Outside of the issue with the packaging and the product being a little hard to get to the top, it's one that I would buy again and keep in the rotation.Ashley
With this oil you're basically just paying for expensive smelling silicone. No joke, in my hands it basically just feels like lubricant. Takes forever to wipe off my hands, can't imagine how much it's gunking up my hair. It does smell really nice, and it does smooth the hair down, but I don't believe it's helping make the hair healthier at all in the long run and might even be detrimental for dry curls like mine. 1 star for smell, 1 for absorption. I love using purple shampoos to keep my blonde bright between salon visits. I was gifted this product for free from the brand in exchange for my honest review. This product definitely helped brighten but I found it a little drying the first couple tries. I paired it with a heavier hair mask in other washes and that helped a little. I wanted to try blue toning shampoo and bought the trial sizes to give this a shot. I have always used purple and saw very little results. I read the directions very quickly, I didn't use gloves and I used a white towel to try my hair. I didn't even think of the blue color that was deposited into my hair I used this product for the first time yesterday and all I can say is WOW! I did see blue everywhere but it didn't stain my shower, hands, nails or my towels. My highlights looked brighter and I think I even saw more of them and I was impressed with just one use. The smell was nice but I thought it was too strong but once you dry your hair the smell disappears. Not sure if I will use this shampoo more than maybe once or twice a week because I don't want to darken my highlight I just want to see less brass and red. If you are hesitant to try this product because of the blue color you could use gloves and I would definitely use it in the shower so that the product washes out once it hits the floor you could even keep a brush in your shower if you want to make sure no blue residue lingers behind. All toning shampoos have color the purple once I used before does and I never had an issue. Everyone's experience is different but I would definitely give this product a try.Tophersmom
I haven't changed anything in my hair care routine except this. The first time I used it, meh it did the job and made my hair a lot brighter. Mind you I only use this twice a month because purple shampoo is so harsh. The second time I used this, HOLY DRYNESS. It literally sucked every bit of moisture out of my hair and turned my hair silver, which was fine, but I looked like a hag due to the frizz. I've never experienced such harshness from a product. I've had to completely reset my hair by not putting any heat or this shampoo on my hair for a month. It ruined my hair for my graduation and I couldn't be anymore disappointed in this product. Not to mention it doesn't lather at all and I felt like I had to use a ton of it to clean my hair. This shampoo from Redken smells amazing. To me it smells like a soft cologne scent. This shampoo looks so cool..it is purple. The product felt soft on my hands and in my hair. It does say to appy wearing gloves but I did not wear gloves. The shampoo did not stain my hands. My hair is very yellow blonde and very warm tone and this shampoo did work. After I blowed dried my hair I could see that my hair was a bit more cooler blonde and the yellow and brassiness was tone downed. I'm giving this a 4 instead of a 5 because I wish when washing my hair the shampoo foamed more. It did not create that soapy shampoo feeling and that kinda made me use more product because I wanted to make sure I got my hair cleaned and had the shampoo everywhere. I also wished this shampoo was vegan but I dont believe it is. Redken does offer some vegan products though. Overall I'm really pleased with this shampoo and will continue to use it.danielle .l

To understand where I'm coming from, let me tell you that I have LONG, naturally blonde, unbelievably thick and dry hair. My hair has always been my favourite physical aspect of myself. As I got older I will admit, I dried my hair out, excessive drying, straightening, highlighting.. anything that could dry out your hair – I used it. So then one day after highlighting my hair it became obvious how damaged my hair was. I brought these for my very blonde hair to repair what bleach does to all blonde hair! My hair isn't particularly damaged and is very good condition but thought would be nice to keep it that way! These are thick, they smell awful and they make your hair feel really greasy! Tried it a few times as i was convinced it must be me leaving some in my hair after washing and I've also tried on my daughters natural blonde hair! I wouldn't buy again!

First off I thought this was like a thick lotion or cream and no, it is not.. so you’re gonna have to buy a squirt bottle or a mister of some type to go along with this product.  when you shake the bottle it sounds like water but giiiiirl it is not! I freaking love this and it’s a must have!!!! I let it dry into my hair after showering and it makes brushing easier.. I’ve also noticed my hair is in better condition!! I've used this product several times since my purchase and I've found it to be a terrific product! I typically use it before applying Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment. Also, I use it for routine cleansing of my hair. It yields a soft and healthy texture. Since using these products, I've also been using the complete line of Aphogee Keratin Products. I like this leave in conditioner it has a water like consistency. It has almost a fruity pineapple scent. It doesnt moisturize my hair but It is also an additional heat protection so it makes my life easier to not constantly try to buy a seperate heat protectant for styling. It doesnt do much hydration at all but it does the job for a tiny extra bit of moisture. If youre someone that has low perosity hair i don’t recommend as it doesnt have much hydration properties at all but maybe for someone who has an oily scalp and want a more lightweight product this may be the one for you. Overall I recommend this because it is a two in one as the heat protectant is a plus to the product.monica.a

I have been using the Goldwell Dual senses shampoo and conditioner for blonde/highlighted hair for less than a month. However, on the first use (this was in the salon) my hair looked instantly better. It was smooth, no build up, shiny, soft and manageable. Prior to this my hair looked unclean, had serious build up, and was difficult to manage. Another plus is that you only need to use a very small amount. A little goes a long way, which is not the case with cheaper store products. This product gave me back sleek, long beautiful hair. I definitely recommend giving it a try. This shampoo is the prettiest colour and has the most loveliest scent. It's a nice product to use too. I imagine that for natural blondes or those with less dominant hair, it would do a wonderful job of removing brassy and yellow tones. Unfortunately my hair is very thick, naturally dark and very dominant so I had to move onto a more heavy duty purple shampoo.stacey.f
