Ok so! I love this shampoo. This has been the only shampoo to clean my hair and bot dry it out. My natural gwols know how frustrating it can be to wash, moisturize and style your hair and then it be dry and toe up the next. I know how it feels to buy a hundred plus dollars of products to be disappointed or mixing them with new products so money isn't wasted. I washed my hair the first day I bought this and fell in love. My hair was soft. It didn't dry out after and the tea tree leave-in…girl use that too! I haven't tried the detailing conditioner yet because they were out of stock when I purchased. Probably because of that half off sale. I did find that this and Taliah's apple aloe deep conditioner work well together. My hair was shiny, easy to comb and style. I also used the Tgin moisturizer. I have a mix of 4b and 4c hair. My daughter's has 4b hair and it works perfect for her. Her wash and go's hold all day even after recess and a long day at school. My sister has used a nice amount of the leave in and moisturizer, now I have to buy more lol. I am going to try the honey mask and the anti-breakage serum. I will be leaving reviews also. I want to note I am leaving this review after a few weeks of using. I like to get a feel. I washed my hair with the Taliah apple aloe shampoo and it was giving dry and not for me. Let me start off my by saying this product is AMAZINGGGGG ! I usually have a very hard time finding the right products for my hair especially when it comes to shampoo . My hair is usually VERY dry and soaks up moisture QUICK most shampoos tend to leave my hair even more dry and brittle feeling. this shampoo along with the conditioner has done wonders for my hair. After washing my hair with this shampoo it’s left feeling so soft and manageable making my hair easier to stay detangingd throughout the wash process ! I have moderately frizzy but mostly straight Caucasian hair and I've been using natural, sulfate/paraben free shampoos for a year or so now. I like TGIN because it makes my hair SUPER silky and soft. The conditioner detangles so well that I can easily wide tooth comb my hair straight out of the shower. However, my hair does feel very heavy and has NO volume whatsoever after using this. I also have to wash more frequently as my hair gets oily way faster, oily to the point it looks bad. To the touch and the eye, my hair looks fantastic with this product but I might look for something that doesn't require such frequent washing in the future.Jauhnam8

This conditioner is amazing! Of all the conditioners I’ve ever used (I’m in my 20’s so I’ve been through a looot of conditioners!) this one is by far the best. I don’t need a huge amount of it to get my hair untangled, and when I do brush through it I barely have any tangles at all. It’s also very gentle on my hair and the smell is light and not overpowering. So impressed with this product and very glad to have found it. Okay, at first I was suspicious about this product because I really only knew Sun Bum for their sunscreen so I was a little confused seeing they did products for hair. But guys…this product is AMAZING. As someone who constantly buys products to help her curly hair, this has been a life changer. I bought this on a whim because I was like, what's the harm in another product supposedly for curly hair? Boy was I surprised!! I used to cowash because I was having such a hard time keeping my hair from getting frizzy but as a consequence my roots would get kinda greasy and sometimes my curls didn't look as hydrated as the cowash would advertise. Finallyyyyy I found a product that actually hydrates my hair, makes it look great curly, and isn't making it frizzy or puffy. The only con about this product is that I really really wish they made versions of this product in larger bottles because the conditioner tends to go quickly especially if you have long curly hair like me. Delicious! Smells so good! I bought it to control frizz in my wavy hair. I am using in conjunction with the Curls & Waves Styling Creme and it is a nice combo for soft hair. I really wanted to like this product! I was excited to try it, It smells greattt! But I naturally have super thick/long hair and it did not do a good job of making my hair feel clean. My hair still felt dirty, greasy and itchy when I got out of the shower. It also produces very little suds, which is something I need a lot of to properly clean my thick hair. I work at Ulta so naturally I love trying different products. Since it’s close to summer I wanted to stop styling my hair and instead start wearing it natural (in the summer it’s just way too hot to style my thick hair and the humidity makes it not last anyways!). However, I have wavy hair with the potential to be curly with the right shampoo/ styling products. So, I wanted to try the coconut curls line to see if I could enhance my waves/ curls and it worked! I brought this product for a cheaper alternative. I was really disapointed with the results and damage ir had done to my hair. It made me lose hair, made my hair dry and frizzy. I really like the coconut scent, it lathers really well and I was very pleased that a little goes a long way as I have very long and thick hair. I wash my hair every 3rd day, but I wet my hair and condition it every day. I have been using the Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Coconut & Hibiscus Conditioner the 2nd day. I always use leave in conditioner but that day I had to use double the amount of what I normally use. Otherwise my hair felt & looked dry & frizzy. The product definitely did help with detangling my hair, not totally, but to a great enough degree where I was pleased. I didn’t notice any improvement in shine though. I was hoping to experience much more of an overall difference from all the various products I have used in the past. No huge noticeable difference, and more expensive than what I currently use. So I really enjoyed using the product on both my baby girl and my own hair. Because we have very very different hair types, I noticed some important things. She has a healthy head of very fine, very varied coil curls. The shampoo worked great on very wet hair, it lathered well for a clarifying shampoo without turning her hair into dry grass. I rinsed twice to make sure the water ran well and clear. The conditioner was light and moisturizing, as promoted. I took the time to work it into all strands while damp to slightly wet with a curly hair wet brush. Afterward rinsing the conditioner lightly, I put in the styling cream. Here I realized I'd put in way too much, but the effect was still very good. Her curls were less prone to tangling, moisturized and made beautiful defined coils. My hair is fine but wavy, not curly. However my hair is super dry. I like using heavily moisturizing products from time to time to feed my hair. The products were too heavy for fine straighter hair, but it really moisturized heavily. My hair has a healthy strong feel and a beautiful glisten that it has after a moisturizing hair mask. Overall, on straighter finer hair, I'd say use the conditioner thoroughly but rinse very well and easy on the styling cream. I didn't experience any waxiness anywhere.Thali22

I usually deal with a very frizzy and unruly hair that is just too stubborn. This shampoo is the product that I did not know I need it. This shampoo works well on frizzy hair. It cleans really really well. My hair feels clean without being stripped. Smells so so delicious! It rinses off without a residue! It nourishes my hair and makes it soft. Standing in the shower, on the first wash, my hair definitely didn't feel clean. The Curl Charisma didn't remove any of the products I had previously used during the week. Using a cleansing shampoo, I was able to get rid of any buildup. Then, I shampooed again with the Curly Charisma. It is a very thin shampoo and doesn't suds up (which I was kind of disappointed with after my first/second wash). Finally, I was ready for the Curly Charisma conditioner. It's thick and creamy. Worked through my hair and let it sit while was washed. Honestly, my hair may not have been in need of the rice amino and avocado hydration the shampoo and conditioner claim they have. As others have commented, this shampoo is very drying. I noticed my hair felt dry (not stripped; but dry) after the very first wash. But, I have to be honest, my curls looked amazing! So much so that I went out the next week and bought the matching conditioner. But over time my hair just got drier and drier and eventually felt like straw after each wash. After about 4 weeks my hair was extremely dry all the time and had significantly more frizz. By 6 weeks I was noticing much more shedding and my curls were stringy and limp. . I tried everything to fix it. Different stylers. More frequent clarifying etc.. but my curls were falling flat and the frizz was out of control. I finally had to admit it was the shampoo. I stopped using this about 2 weeks ago and switched to the Shine shampoo and conditioner by Curlsmith. I saw an immediate improvement. Curls came back; frizz is better. It will take time to undo the damage from this shampoo but I'm so glad I stopped using it. If you hair truly, truly needs protein (like a lot of protein) then this could work great for you. But it was definitely damaging to my hair.Chris

I am m not sure what magical ingredients go into this, but the products have transformed my hair. I was forever searching for my "holy grail" shampoo and conditioner and nothing ever 'wowed' me. I have been buying Dove shampoo and conditioner for many years from Sam's. Dove has changed the smell and the formula. My hair actually looks oily after I blow it dry. I have fine thin hair and the old formula always worked well for me. My hair would blow out to be light and bouncy. This new formula just weighs it down. It does not even want to take to the curling iron. All of my bottles are going back to Sam's. Dove, do you even test out your changes? We placed a delivery order recently with Wal*Mart a few items were delivered from our local store. They left the order at our door left before we realized it was the wrong order. Because of covid, they don't accept any returns of local delivery orders, so they let us ( I guess the person who got our stuff) keep it for free! This was the most drying, matting shampoo I've come across in a long time. I wanted to try something different ( cause shampoo is shampoo right?! WRONG) I have a mix of type 3c, 4b and beyond. This product, as well as other scents/formulas by Maui, is absolutely wonderful. Everyone in my family is now using one of Maui's formulas because it works really well and smells good. I don't blow dry nor do I dye my hair. I use hair creams and sometime flexible styling hair sprays not related to this brand. With that said, with this shampoo I sometimes have to lather twice to really feel like I fully removed any hair products, other than that, this shampoo does lather well & has a soft smell to it. It's winter here at the moment and this shampoo is not helping with my winter dandruff, which it's okay, I scalp detox once a week & that helps for a while, not this brand either, but I'm mentioning it incase you think it helps moisturize your scalp. This curl cream would be great for you if you’re not looking to have too much hold in your hair. It’s thick, but it doesn’t create a very strong cast for me. As you can see, my hair is already frizzing at the roots and it’s not completely dry yet. There’s no cast to scrunch out. The pump is also really hard to use and only dispenses like a dime size of product with each pump, which means I need to pump twice just to get enough for one section of hair. It is very hydrating, so I can’t knock it down too much, but it is probably my least favorite ouidad product, which is saying a lot because I LOVE ouidad. This product works as step one of my product routine. Does it give the best coverage or moisturizing power? No, but remember it is designed to also be a co-wash. You can tell by the slight astringency and bubbles post-rinse that it has mild cleansing action. You do need a fair amount to coat the hair enough to brush detangle, but it wins best all-around for curls. It smells amazing, and gives good curl definition, shine and frizz control. I wash it out, then use Alba cocoa butter as a scalp moisturizer/leave-in, and finish with a humidity hold gel, and get a beautiful cast that lasts about a week. I did prefer the previous formulation when it was called custom conditioner, (I think they were cutting costs with the change), as you didn't need to use as much, but still like it enough to keep using.dartarro21

Bumble and bumble has the key to luxurious curly hair! I was ecstatic when this generous sample came in the mail because I am always on the hunt for great hair products for my curly hair. Bumble and bumble’s Bb Curl product line made my hair soft, feeling hydrated and my curls controlled. I got a great lather and a fresh feeling from the Moisturizing Shampoo. The 3-In-1 Conditioner was very creamy and hydrating whether I rinsed it out or left it in. Not to mention the fact that my hair smelled great! Bb Curl’s Anti-Humidity Gel-Oil left me with nice, loose curls and kept my hair from getting frizzy even when the humidity was high. I also used this product right before bedtime because it felt nice and light, leaving my hair not sticky to the touch. It was nice to not wake up with crazy bed-head for a change! I used the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil heat/UV protective primer before using my straight iron and found that it worked well without leaving my hair greasy or gunky. It also did not leave any residue on my iron. The Defining cream gave my curls definition without the usual crunchy, sticky texture we all dislike so much. My curls still bounced while I walked and I could even pick my hair without ruining the hold. It didn’t flake off either. First of all, I love the packaging. If I was going into a store with no idea on what anti-frizz products to choose, I would be immediately drawn to this range. It’s a fantastic choice in packaging design; very aesthetically pleasing and likely now my favourite hair product packaging. The colours are right up my alley. The usability of the packaging is also fantastic. The squishy tube is super easy to squeeze, making using this with wet/slippery hands no trouble at all. It also ensures the product is completely depleted when finished, either squeezing it out or cutting open the packaging which isn’t easy with hard plastic packaging. This shampoo is lightly fragranced and I quite enjoy the pretty scent which isn’t overpowering at all, and doesn’t seem to linger. I didn’t need to use much to create a large amount of foam which lathered quickly, which is exactly how I prefer shampoos to act. I love the addition of Aloe Vera in products as I find it hydrating and soothing, which this shampoo is. It wasn’t irritating or drying for my scalp and my hair felt decently hydrated and soft afterwards. It’s no substitute for a proper hydrating shampoo though if you have really dry hair (though I did find the matching smoothing crème adds some lovely hydration). The shampoo was also easy to rinse out, which is always a plus, meaning I could move onto the next step in my hair care routine and have more time for other things later. Using this with the conditioner, the amount of frizz in my hair was greatly reduced. I experienced very minimal frizz which is usually unheard of unless I smother it with something which makes me also look greasy and/or weighs it down. Instead, for the extra frizz that appears when in humid environments, or when my hair gets damp from rain or perspiration, I can now use the matching smoothing crème for that unwelcome frizz and look like I’m not using any product. It really is weightless, as well as non-greasy. If you have any amount of frizz and want to reduce it without sacrificing the bounce and lightness of your natural hair, I highly recommend giving this shampoo and the matching conditioner and smoothing crème a try. I have pin straight hair. My daughter on the other hand has the beautiful, bouncy ringlets I have always wanted. Because I'm totally in the dark on how to do/what to use on her hair, it has been a major learning curve to have her hair really be as beautiful as it can be every day. I have purchased MANY products, including some that were way too expensive in trying to learn what her hair needs. It wasn't until I received a sample of John Frieda Dream Curls Conditioner from PinchMe, that I knew I found it! To be fair, I used the sample both with (I went out and purchased it) and without John Freida Dream Curls shampoo. For starters, this conditioner has a nice, silky feel and a rather dense consistency. Because I know her hair needs a thicker conditioner, I was already excited. It has a very wonderful and somewhat strong (but not nauseating) fresh scent that does carry onto the hair well. It works through wet hair very well and makes detangling easy. It rinses out easily from the hair and keeps a good amount of moisture locked in. After showing, her hair was very easy to comb. We are both VERY pleased at the results of this conditioner! (That's why I went out and purchased the shampoo!) It keeps the hair very moisturized, makes it super silky and shiny and gives her gorgeous ringlets incredible definition, body and bounce! He hair feels healthy, smells amazing (which is incredible because she is 11 and has that hormonal head/hair now that needs to be washed daily), and it feels and looks SO HEALTHY! I know everyone's hair is different and what may work for some may not work for others (you can see the evidence of that by looking at all the products in my bathroom), but I feel like this conditioner is great for anyone with big loopy curls, waves, and even straight hair that needs extra moisture! While I did receive John Frieda Dream Curls Conditioner complimentary from PINCHme, my opinions are honest and my own. I don’t have DEEPLY curly hair but I do have a wave to my hair, which is a fine texture. I live in an area that also has a high humidity so it’s so important to have protection against the dreaded frizz! After a hair wash, I applied the cream based conditioner and as my usual process I left it in for a few minutes to really set in and soak into my hair. I really loved the scent, pleasant but not overpowering, just light and relaxing! It left my hair feeling clean and nourished, smooth to the touch with the benefit of keeping the hair detangled. It’s also sulfate and paraben-free, which I find treats my hair well. After letting my hair dry (I generally let it naturally dry unless I need to style it) I felt it really still felt moisturized and healthy, ready to take on styling but to give my hair natural bounce and strength. I would absolutely recommend this for anyone with wave to curly hair to add benefit to those lovely locks of hair!!holly_fl_blkjx

I have frizzy , fine hair and the davines love smoothing shampoo really helps a lot with the smoothing process even before I use styling aids. This range is Rich in fatty acids and vitamins, I always want products that have a lot to offer. The formula has a high percentage of biodegradable ingredients. The davines brand is also sulphate free so people that have Brazilians or any color/ chemical treatment done can use it. The packaging is reusable. Price is in the same range as those of salon products. I reverted to the love smoothing range for my daily use, I still alternate with a few others, depending on what my hair needs.monique.o

This is the best shampoo I have ever used! I received a sample of it in my subscription box and was amazed at the fact that it had more then one use in it! The shampoo spread nicely which is why there was more then one use in it. I have long hair too! It made my hair soft and shiny and healthy looking! It's hard to do that with my dry, brittle hair. It is quite expensive but worth every penny and then some. I always purchase in bulk when I get my taxes so I will have enough for the entire year. Well, super bummed. I liked the light scent. It doesn't smell "good" but not bad either and it doesn't linger so I don't care about that. First time I used, literally thought I forgot to rinse conditioner out. So I washed next day (usually only wash twice a week). My hair was fine, but seemed a bit heavy. Used it yesterday without the conditioner this time because I used a hair mask (which I've been using for years). Could tell immediately when rinsing the mask my hair felt really weird. Then again today everything but the top most layer is a weird filmy greasy mess! So it's not just the conditioner, but the shampoo. It leaves a gross film on my hair making it super greasy. I have an oilier scalp but I can still go days between washes. This stuff somehow has the strands extremely oily! Will definitely return this one. Love the ghost oil and their purple hair mask though!Haleygb

If I had never tried this brand quite some time ago in a Sephora Play box (remember those?) I would be kicking myself for sleeping on it! I fell in love with the “ghost oil” first, and from there I jumped in hard to the brand. The volume shampoo (and the equally awesome conditioner counterpart) have turned out to be amongst my favs! I love the smell- clean and fresh without being too overwhelming. I’m a hard sell on shampoo, but this is a nice size for the $20 price point and it has a good lather, so it should last for a decent amount of time. I also really like that VERB is both cruelty and SLS free, uses sunflower oil as a natural hair protector and vitamin B5 to add thickness to the hair. It’s rather hard to be the judge of whether or not a product produces enough volume simply Bc we all prefer differing levels of volume in our hair, but I do enjoy the way this shampoo performs in my hair, and I’ve been able to regularly produce and reproduce“voluminous hairstyles” that I’m fond of when I use this shampoo and conditioner set.Reatha24

I was not the biggest fan of Verb Volume Shampoo. I have fine, curly hair that gets weighed down easily. I have lost some volume/thickness during the pandemic for some reason, so I am always looking to thicken and give myself some lift and volume. First, I am big on scent and I don’t need my products to smell like anything specific, as long as it smells good. I didn’t like the smell of the Verb Volume Shampoo or Conditioner at all. It reminded me of Matrix Biolage, which is one of my least favorite brands and scents. I can get past the scent if the product works. I can honestly say I didn’t notice much of a difference as far as the volume my hair had after blow drying it straight. But I will say that the shampoo definitely didn’t weigh my hair down, which is great. I do like Verb as a brand, and recommend it to people. This particular product was just not for me.beccalec

I have fine, oily hair and this conditioner is so lightweight. The scent is a light apple but not overpowering and I can't barely smell it after my hair is dry. The only thing I have noticed is that it doesn't seem to give my hair body. Although I'm not disappointed about that because mostly bought it knowing the formula would be lightweight. Regardless of how lightweight any conditioner is, my hair tends to hold onto any product so I don't use this everyday. I still recommend this.Zondagirl

My husband just bought this product probably a few days ago so my review will not be like 100% but I wanted to go ahead and go with mine and his thoughts on it so far. The price is decent in the size is good to have with you on the go. You can carry it in your vehicle with you and apply it whenever you need it. So that's a bonus. So far it works pretty good. He's happy with it so far. But I think he's going to want something a little different I don't think it's exactly what he wanted but it isn't really good gel that has a pretty good firm hold. I do notice the wet look also though, which I dont like too much.amber.g

I have been anxiously waiting for this conditioner to come back. When I called, I was told it was supply-chain issues on some of the botanical ingredients, but that the Spring Loaded Conditioner would return. In the meantime, I tried several new products, and, my curly hair was never as nice as when I used JPM's Spring Loaded Conditioner. I had written in the past that I wouldn't stray, but, the unavailability caused me to try, and, I am so glad the wait is over. This is the best curly friendly conditioner I've found so far on this site. I need a lot of product but I feel like my 2C/3A hair is much more manageable with this than with other conditioners. The downside: this is the weirdest smelling product I've ever used on my head ever. First sniff is something resembling dill pickles. It then morphs into a kind of old man's cologne, like the musky kind that's overpowering. Only to settle on a very floral mix of the previous two scents. I have no other way to explain it. . . I have been on the hunt for a natural shampoo and conditioner that wouldn't weight down my curls and so far so good with this product. The only con I would give it is that the natural smell could be off-putting for some – myself I can deal with natural, herbal smells better than fake perfume scents. This shampoo lathers well for being sulfate free and I only need about a pump and a half for my hair, which is almost down to my chest. It rinses cleanly and I follow it with the conditioner and my hair is left really soft and my waves stand out even without putting gel or mouse in it – although I often do have to style it with some sort of product but that is just the way my hair is. I would recommend this to people with wavy to curly hair for sure. My hair is long and thick and frizzy and I feel like this has helped to tame some of the frizz. I have tried other brands like devacurl and this cleans better for me (and my hair is pretty greasy at the scalp) and is a better value. Bonus points for the pump!deskar

Lets talk about he outside in on the Maui Moiture Smooth Repair Vanilla Bean Shampoo. The shape of the bottle is just so convenient, you can store this so easy in a cabinet without it falling over or taking up a crazy amount of space. The cap is easy to open to access the shampoo in the shower. Now the inside. When you open the bottle and take that first sniff you will be in love with the smell. It is just the right amount of vanilla bean to make this perfect and not overwhelming. The consistancy of the shampoo is also perfect, a little goes a long way. It lathers amazing and so smooth. It also rinces easy out of my hair and my hair really does feel clean once it is rinced and doesn't feel like there is any residue or product left in my hair. Once my hair is dry I do see that my frizz has been tamed and my hair is nice and soft. I'm very happy with the results of this shampoo and would recommend other try it if you find you have too much frizz or your hair isn't as smooth and soft and you would like it to be.Gerberbaby72

First of all: it smells amazing, the vanilla isn’t too strong and smells very natural. The consistency of the shampoo is quite thick but easy to “activate”(foam it) and easy to use. The first time I tried this it was based on a recommendation from my daughter. I had never even heard of this brand before. The curl conditioner and the curl shampoo are nothing less than miraculous. I am in love with both of these products. I went to visit my mom recently. I was pulling my teardrop camper so I just wanted travel sizes. I thought I could make do for a week using some other products I had in travel sizes. No. No. No. I ended up going out and buying new bottles because I couldn’t stand to be without them.carla.b

So I was very hesitant to try this shampoo because of some of the reviews but now I regret not trying it sooner. Some of the complaints are that it doesn’t get your hair clean and i feel like that may be true if you’ve only ever used shampoos with silicones and switch to this. You have to use the clarifying shampoo first if you have never used silicone free before otherwise the moisture won’t get to your hair because of the silicone still left on your hair strands. This shampoo makes my hair so soft and has such a luxurious lather. I didn’t think I would like the nozzle but the shampoo is a thinner consistency so it comes out easily and deposits right on the scalp. I think I’ve finally found my holy grail shampoo. My hair is no longer frizzy and my curls are defined. You have to try it!paigespink

The one good thing about this shampoo is the packaging. The product goes directly onto the scalp with the perfectly sized nozzle. That's it though. The shampoo smells like men's deodorant. The smell doesn't fade, either. The shampoo doesn't rinse clean. My hands and hair felt oily and heavily conditioned just from the shampoo. It left a film on my hair that seemed to make it fall straight down. All of my waves and curls hung limply, with no definition, lots of frizz, and just awful. Okay I'm curious about this product and the claims it helps reduce shedding/fallout. I can say I had less shedding after using this shampoo. I will see how it does after a few washes. It wasn't very moisturizing for me though. The SNAG FREE pre shampoo had such great slip and had my hair feeling great. I was expecting a lot more from this shampoo. I’m a huge fan of pre-pooing since it makes washing my 3c/4a hair much easier and this pre-shampoo did not disappoint. I like that I could easily work it into larger sections so I didn’t have to spend too much time applying it. I sectioned my hair into 4 parts and then sectioned each of those into two (for a total of 8 sections) to work the product in. I went in with a quick finger detangle then followed up with my detangling brush. Let’s just say my curls were poppin! Made the shampooing and conditioning steps a breeze.a2b18

Okay when I first tried this I was like what ? This step has been a game changer in my curly routine. I never thought of detangling my hair before shampoo. Ever since I’ve been using this before, I definitely feel a huge difference when I use my shampoo. I feel like my hair gets a better cleanse after being detangle instead of shampooing on tangles hair. I have curly hair so sometimes the tangles are real. This stuff instantly makes my hair soooo soft and detangles sooo quick and easy. It’s honestly so genius and amazing for curls that easily get tangle or any type of hair texture.
