I had been using Head and Shoulders and other various dandruff shampoo brands for my dandruff for years and never really found anything that helped much. I tried scalp scrubs, masks, rinses, treatments, etc and tons of home remedies and never found anything very effective. Until I saw a dermatologist on TikTok mention that dandruff is actually caused by a FUNGUS on your scalp 🤢 So gross. Anyway, he suggested trying something with ketoconazole in it and I ran out to Target to try this right away and it was worth every penny of the $14.99 or whatever it was that I paid. 10/10 if you have dandruff problems, try this. I’ve struggled with dandruff for years and have tried EVERY product; Selsun Blue, T/Gel, head and shoulders, home remedies, you name it. Head and Shoulders was really the only thing I found that kept it somewhat at bay and I still only use the condition along with using Nizoral shampoo. I have very thick and curly hair so I don’t wash it often which is why none of the other products worked for me because they would make my hair way too greasy. I have been using Nizoral for about 3 months now and will never use anything else. After only about a week of using it I noticed a drastic change in my scalp, no flakes AT ALL!! This is going to sound very disgusting but at one point many years ago I had dandruff really really bad. At least I thought it was the address. I kept using every single day and your shampoo I could find and it did very little. My skin on my scalp would flake and almost healed to the point of being a lot like cradle cap that little babies have. I couldn’t understand why I had this horrible Dandruff and why nothing I would buy would do anything to help it. Finally I was able to see a dermatologist who gave me a prescription shampoo and told me I’d had sebbhoreic dermatitis. Once my prescription ran out I was not able to go back to my dermatologist and there was quite the wait so I decided to try some other shampoos after reading online. This was one that I had seen recommended by other people. Nizoral actually helped my condition and I was quite surprised that they didn’t need a prescription shampoo. I don’t see my dermatologist very often and to get in there is a bit of a wait so I don’t bother anymore. I have been using the Shea Moisture conditioner for approximately two weeks and was provided them by #trywithtopbox as a #freeproduct for my honest review. I have fine, thin, waist length hair that is naturally blonde starting to go grey, that is prone to split ends and I would describe as normal to oily. I don't wash it daily but every 2 to 3 days it's just too much work to do daily. I used the conditioner as directed and found that my hair combed out fairly easily even while still wet which was great as it tends to tangle quite badly when I don't use a good conditioner on it. My hair was soft and shiny and manageable. The container for this feels slightly greasy when I handle it during use even after rinsing them off. The conditioner bottle uses a pump as a dispenser which is great but I couldn't get the original one that came with the bottle to function. I replaced it with one I had but I noticed that the thick conditioner dries and forms a plug that takes several pumps to force out. Overall I would say this was a good product that worked as advertised and if someone was looking to try this I would recommend it, I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me given the frequency with which I wash my hair.MargarethaM

I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I was able to try this product in exchange for review, which I was thrilled about as I have always wanted to try this particular Shea Moisture line. I have heavily highlighted and have attacked it quite regularly with hot tools. Add in pandemic self-done haircuts, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle. After two weeks of using this shampoo, twice a week, My hair feels moisturised but perhaps a little too much so. For my particular hair, I cannot use this is my go-to shampoo, but more as a twice a month or so treatment shampoo. The texture is not like any I have tried before, it is a semi-viscus liquid that pours out like a watery honey, not at all like a standard shampoo, so pay attention in the shower! The smell is a comforting warm vanilla. For my hair this product is a little too moisturising to use with every wash, but if you have coarser hair than mine, I definitely say give it a whirl. The only minus that I detected is that as It nourishes hair, my hair becomes one day ahead in comparison with other shampoos with cleaning leading role, not restoring. I was able to try the Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox & was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind this is a restorative shampoo it's very unconventional in the way it looks, smells & shampoos the hair. I was very skeptical but was used to it by the 2nd to 3rd time using it. It doesn't suds up/lather as much as a regular shampoo but it does if you really massage the hair well & give it a second shampoo. The color doesn't bother me as I said you get used to it. My hair didn't have the traditional "clean" feeling the first time I used it but there's a definite silkier almost more creamy feel to the hair after using it which is nice. This was a nice surprise! After using it for a few weeks now, I feel like again, I'm used to it & it leaves the hair clean & amazingly hydrated. Keep in mind this is all because this shampoo is sulfate-free (which is a good thing!). So give it a chance! You wouldn't necessarily use this if you have a ton of product in your hair you need to get off (lots of hairspray, gel etc,). This could be used for the second round of shampooing. So recommend to use this when you need some hydration & your hair is heat damaged. Also big plus it didn't burn my eyes which is my number one test with any shampoo especially when I saw the highlighted ingredients as peppermint & apple cider vinegar. I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. I washed my hair about 5 days ago and my hair is a lot less flakey and itchy. It still feels relatively clean with some oil started to build up on my hair. By this time, my hair is usually an oily, flakey mess, but it is not now because of this shampoo! Will definitely splurge for the large bottle!sweetkiwi
Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! I've been using the WOW Skin Science Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo and Coconut Avocado Conditioner for the past 2 weeks and absolutely love them! I've used apple cider vinegar on my hair so I was intrigued when I saw this shampoo. This shampoo works gently to clear build-up and dandruff on the scalp and nourish hair. It works into a nice lather a little goes a long way. It's left my hair clean, shiny and soft. The WOW Coconut Oil Conditioner is ideal for dry or stressed hair. When I opened the conditioner I exclaimed "WOW this smells fantastic!" It makes me feel like I'm on an island sitting under a palm tree and relaxing. It smells that darn good! I used the WOW products hoping to improve my dandruff issues and detoxify my scalp. The ACV shampoo lathered well, washed out easily, and left a noticeable apple cider vinegar scent. It made my scalp oily and itchy after a day or two. My scalp is not usually oily. My scalp flaked more than usual. I was using it exclusively, but then I began alternating its use with my usual shampoo, which does not make my scalp oily, because I was concerned that the WOW products were too harsh. The conditioner is very thick. I use it on the ends of my hair, not on the scalp. It has a noticeable coconut scent. The labels state there are no sulfates, but the usual sodium lauroyl sulfate is replaced with Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate. I do not know if this is comparatively healthy. It has other chemicals, including sodium benzoate. I did not notice more shine to my hair. These WOW products may not be the best ones for me and my hair concerns. I like this leave in conditioner it has a water like consistency. It has almost a fruity pineapple scent. It doesnt moisturize my hair but It is also an additional heat protection so it makes my life easier to not constantly try to buy a seperate heat protectant for styling. It doesnt do much hydration at all but it does the job for a tiny extra bit of moisture. If youre someone that has low perosity hair i don’t recommend as it doesnt have much hydration properties at all but maybe for someone who has an oily scalp and want a more lightweight product this may be the one for you. Lucky to try this L'Occitane travel-sized duo, my hair has changed for the better! If you are like me and have used and loved this product for many years, you are likely to be disappointed in the change in smell and texture of this product. In August, they quit using silicone in it. Consequently, the lovely smell that it had for decades has been replaced with a scent that is frankly not at all pleasing. This shampoo (and damage remedy conditioner) are my ultimate favourite hair products. I have thicker coloured long hair and it consistently works better than others I try that claim to do the same thing. Other reviews state disappointment in all the original Aveda Shampoo lines being discontinued and I couldn't agree more. If the Damage remedy line is removed I will have no choice but to find another brand as all my other favourites are gone and the replacements are not cutting it. My wife and I both really love / like (respectively) the Damage Remedy shampoo. It leaves hair feeling clean but not stripped, and "soft" and silky without feeling like it's lacking in body. She has blonde hair and mine is very dark brown to almost black, and there's some grey/white/silver in there too….and this shampoo is great on both hair types. Impressive! So, why Four Stars? At some point, with the noticeable increase in price, one has to ask when does it not make sense, especially for a shampoo that isn't meant to be 'regular use' unless one has hair that is in very sorry condition? I would recommend for sure, but now with a caution that it is a fairly expensive luxury.SMILEY
I am sadly not getting on with this shampoo at all. There is no lather when I use a normal amount, so my hair doesn't feel clean. Always have to wash it twice and use more shampoo than I would with other products. My hair is then fine for about 12 hrs, but starts to look greasy after that, so have to repeat the next morning. Not a cheap product and I will be through this bottle in about a month which seriously pains me. Was hoping it would last longer and work better for that price.Lisa

This is one of my favorites I keep in my shower. I love the way it smells, lathers and makes my hair feel afterwards. I like to use this at least once a week, then I squeeze all excess water out and use the Keratin mask in my hair working it from my ends up to my scalp and twisting it on top of my head allowing it to set while I finish my shower and rinse out in cooler water, followed with the keratin conditioner mainly on my ends while I exfoliate or go back over with my favorite body wash and then rinse. This combo really strengthens your hair, giving it elasticity, shine, promotes growth, helps with frizz. I have curly hair and it really does help those ends and volume did I saw strength, lol. I had read reviews and the marketing for this brand and I wanted to give it a shot. I went with this particular shampoo to try because it seemed best fitted for my hair type which is straight, shoulder length that gets a bit frizzy after blow drying and styling. When I was my hair with this shampoo, I can feel the difference. It is easier to style and it holds a nice smooth style with no friz. It stays well too. I generally wash my hair every other day, but I can easily take it an extra day and not even tough it up. I work out a lot and it still stays great after being in a ponytail and sweating. I started using Wow products 3 weeks ago and can see a definite change in my hair and skin! I sought out Wow because my hair was thinning and falling out. Im not sure if it was my diet changes or my age (49) that caused the fall out but it didnt matter. My hair is now growing, getting thicker and healthier. I haven't seen a change in fall out yet but I have no doubt these products will eventually stop it. Right now my hair is full and wavy so I dont really notice the thinning as much. I use the coconut shampoo and condition with saw Palmetto twice a week after the onion oil. I use according to directions and rinse with cool water. Afterward I use the leave in conditioner. Wow! Best shampoo I have ever used by far! I have spent years trying to find a shampoo that doesn’t make my hair a tangly matted mess but this cleans my scalp and give my hair slip and hydration at the same time, I have dry curly / wavy hair that gets split ends and breaks easily and I have noticed a significant different in the ends and over all appearance and feel of my hair since using this shampoo and the correlating conditioner. The shampoo has a decent lather and you don’t need much of it as a little goes a long way. The only downside is that for me this product was a lot more than what I’d usually spend on a shampoo/ conditioner but is definitely worth the investment for something that actually works for my hair for once.sophie.b
I really wanted to like this but I just couldn’t so I returned it. The scent was the most part for me… I expected the same scent as the original Moroccanoil Hair oil so maybe my expectation was high? I have long hair (almost touches my coxis; half of it is dyed because I’m trying to achieve a melted effect.. from my natural dark brown to grey) So my ends need help to maintain its elasticity, moisture and prevent split ends. I got everything from this brand that I was able to afford to start taking care of it . My hair has always been fine but now that I'm 58, on hormones and thyroid meds, my hair is thin. I first tried Full shampoo almost a year ago and didn't notice a change in my hair. I was given another bottle in May and tried it again. I was amazed. My hair was more full and manageable within a week or so. I then saw the Flourish shampoo and thought the description was exactly for me. Unfortunately, it was not and I started to see thin spots on my temples. I also noticed the Flourish shampoo does not lather the way the Full shampoo does. It makes it hard to be sure you have applied it to your whole head. Normally I wouldn't care about lather but when it is a treatment shampoo it is needed to ensure you get coverage. I had to share my review of this shampoo and conditioner after years of searching for a great product. A little background info, I have highlighted my hair (which I'd describe as straight, fine and definitely on the oily side around my forehead) for decades – I am 44 now and dry, brittle hair became a regular thing for me once I reached my 40's. Every time one shampoo/conditioner ran out, I tried another because nothing was worth a repurchase and the breakage continued. I've also tried many treatments and masks, from high-end to low, but just never found "the one". The Recovery set wasn't something I found, it was something my stylist used on me on my last two highlight sessions. I honestly bought it for the smell most of all, because it would last a couple of days, and figured it was worth a shot for the other benefits. I have been using the Recovery shampoo and conditioner for two weeks now and truly am amazed at the difference in my hair. I'm not expecting miracles after what I have put my hair through but this is the first time…ever…I can recall feeling my hair and thinking "wow, that is REALLY soft". I've never actually used "bed head tigi" hair products before but I hands down will be using it from now on. Lately because of my depression, my hair had been a little, well, forgotten about. As a result, it's not in its best condition. UNTILL NOW. After the very first wash with the conditioner, I got amazing results. A little amount goes a long way and gives full coverage. Once on my hair, I like to brush the conditioner through to make sure it gets right to the root. With a lot of conditioners, the act of massaging it into my hair causes awful knots. Since using TiGi, this hasn't happened once, It also smells BEAUTIFUL! The feel of my hair after it's been blow dried is literally amazing. I have hypothyroidism and low hormonal levels for which I take meds & under-the-skin pellets (I’m female btw). I experienced hair fall thought to be due to testosterone levels increasing and was prescribed spironolactone and later, compounded 7% minoxidil. Spironolactone helped control my suddenly crazy oily skin and breakouts but I was still experiencing a ton of hair fall to the point️ that my hair was noticeably thinner and was prescribed this high dose of minoxidil twice daily. A side effect, which is rare apparently, was that it changed my normally shiny fine slightly wavy hair (which I had a lot of off) into a dry straw-like frizzy mess with crazy unmanageable waves. Stubborn waves that curled upwards and across the back of my head. I ended up cutting my mid to long length hair into a bob, added layers to help cut off the damage and make it more manageable and cuts every 3 weeks. I can’t do keratin treatments because I had one in the past and had an allergic reaction. I did the K18 mask and it made my hair noticeably softer, but my hair still looked frizzy and was still unmanageable. But once I started using this shampoo along with the mask, I finally saw some real results. I still have some frizz on the ends but the crazy wave is more relaxed and manageable, my hair is shiny again, and feels so soft. I use this shampoo daily and I think it’s been the cherry on the top, so to speak. I really really like this shampoo! Wanted to love this shampoo because of all the hype around it. I have long thin hair with blonde highlights. I wash my hair every 5 days. I am 39 years old and have always had my hair long, around mid-back length. My hair has always been super healthy, I do not use heat on my hair and visit the salon regularly. This shampoo has made my hair shed significantly, even during the first wash. It would abnormally shed even during washes, clumps of hair would stay in my fingers, and my hair got dirty after 2-3 days. My hair became so dry, dull and would tangle at nothing. My hairdresser notice that something was off with my hair at my last appointment, and I had only used it once. I kept on using it thinking my hair would get used to it and that the shedding could be due to seasonal shedding (even though I had never experienced that before). After a few weeks, my hair kept shedding so much. I switched back to my usual shampoo (Redken) and my hair was instantly back to its normal, healthy and shiny state after the first wash. The Peptide Prep pH Maintenance shampoo is a great pair it the K18 repair mask. I also have the detox shampoo, but I feel like you could get away with just once of them. Although, there are some differences I spotted below: -The charcoal detox mask to me had a bit of a stronger scent, one that I enjoyed but if you don’t, you may enjoy this one more. The detox shampoo is also black-gray in color, this one is clear. -I found that both of them lathered very nicely, and made my hair and scalp feel so soft. I didn’t feel a drastic difference between the two. -The main difference I think between the two is that the detox is your deep-clean, and the peptide ph is like your everyday maintenance. The textures and way they left my hair to me were very similar. I was already a huge fan of the K18 hair repair mask, and I would recommend to a friend and to anyone who loves soft hair. I have been using this product for over 15 years. I have very dry, fine hair and this has been the only shampoo that has kept my hair from having split ends and keeps it looking healthy and fuller. I LOVE IT. It is expensive, but a little goes a long way. And with my very thin hair, it has been the only thing I have found to keep my hair looking healthy. I have seen some complaints about how this weighs down the hair. Because this is for normal to dry hair, it is moisturizing and thick. A little goes a long way. I do use the conditioner as well, but ONLY massage it through the ends of my hair, not on the scalp. I can see how this may cause a greasy feeling. The conditioner is thick and may be difficult to wash out. This is the only line of Kerastase products I have found that has a lighter fragrance. I have tried others, but they are too perfumey for me (I'm the person who uses fragrance free detergent because the smell is too strong). Background: For the past few years my hair has been oddly greasy on top. One day, it just happened. Every time I combed my hair, I would find buildup. I tried everything (sulfate free shampoos, apple cider vinegar, rinsed, etc) So this past October I purchased this after I went ahead and got a pricey haircut for the first time. Walking into the salon, I was pretty embarrassed because for the past few years my hair had been incredibly greasy/oily at the scalp with dry ends. It makes it look like I don’t wash my hair. I didn't really notice any difference in my hair, however I think it made my scalp very flaky. The only thing that I changed in my routine was this shampoo, and it made me flaky during both the winter and summer months. I have since gotten another shampoo (and am using the same conditioner) and the flakes have immediately gone. It does smell lovely though. I won't be repurchasing this product as it is very expensive and made me extremely self-conscious. Note: I only use shampoo and conditioner on my hair, no dry shampoo or other treatments. I have mid-long length pretty straight hair with medium thickness. I normally use cheaper drugstore shampoo and conditioners but wanted to try something more of salon/higher quality thats supposedly better for your hair. This shampoo is okay it does work nicely but I didn't like it for a few reasons. It smells good but I feel I had to use quite a bit of it for it to lather nicely. I felt like it was thick and kind of stayed on my hair so it took a lot of the natural wave and volume of my hair out and made it much straighter and flat. I felt like my hair got greasy faster too, leading me to washing it more. It did make my hair very shiny and soft though. My hair isn't really damaged though so if you do have damaged hair that you're looking to get shiny and soft this shampoo may work nicely for you. I just didn't like the way it made my hair look and feel. Also the bottle designed is not great, it's difficult to squeeze and get the product out, especially when it starts running low. For reference, I have straight, healthy, normal amount of oil/dryness, non-colored hair that falls below my shoulders. This shampoo/conditioner combo as far as my hair is concerned is below average to begin with. My hair looks ok after I use it but not great and the conditioner leaves a gross film no matter how much I rinse. I have eczema on my hands and usually shampoos do not upset it much due to the very short duration they are in contact. This shampoo/conditioner combo however flared up my eczema immediatly and even worse, every time I would run my fingers through my hair it would fare up again because of the weird film. I had to actually take another shower and wash my hair really well with another shampoo and then I was fine. I see other reviewers have had allergic/eczema reactions as well. I do caution use of this product to those with contact allergies/sensitive skin/eczema and so on as there seems to be a rather strong irritant in this product (I would love to know what it is) I thankfully did not lose any hair and there is no lasting damage but yikes.Amanda

It's a bit pricey but trust me its worth it. I was tired of my hair feeling gross, dry on the ends and oily at the roots. I threw away all my other garbage shampoos and I finally found the shampoo of all shampoos. Def sticking with this one a little lathers up a bunch. I can go 2-3 days without looking like an oily mess. And it makes my hair smell soo good. Def worth the money if youre tired of your hair having build up.emily p.
So, I hesitated about writing this review because I don’t like to complain, and I did love this product when I first purchased it. My hair was soft, smelled great, and I even had people commenting on the health & shine it had. I loved this product so much I stocked up on it.
About a year into using this shampoo and conditioner duo along with the leave in treatment I noticed an unusual amount of hair fall. I thought nothing of it assuming it was my hair screaming at me for the heat/hair dye ect. However, I noticed it more and more and after 6 months of extreme shedding I decided I should look into what was going on. First i started taking supplements (Womens vitamins and biotin) assuming it was my dreadful diet to blame. No change. I put a shower head filter in to filter my shower water. No change. Then I went cold turkey on heat styling, and stopped using hair dye. Nothing seemed to help. I even bought different ‘it’s a 10’ products to try to “strengthen” my hair. I attempted to not wash my hair but once a week… still incredible amounts of fall out. I was lost. Finally I changed shampoo. I started noticing in the shower less and less fall out, soon brushing my hair produced less wads of hair to clean from my brush. It seems I have found the culprit. I have spent 6 months trying to identify what I was doing wrong, and all signs point to “it’s a 10”.
I’m posting this not out of anger, or spite, but because everywhere I looked I saw “how great” this product is …. I even asked my hair dresser what she recommended for hair fall and she asked what I use and I told her “it’s a 10” and she raves about how great the product is.
my hair is incredibly thin and I have little baby regrowth. I don’t want someone else to go through what I did and change shampoo when it’s too late. So if u r using it’s a 10 and noticing a lot of fall out… maybe it just doesn’t work for us?

I really like this shampoo and conditioner. It's a shame so many people left 1 star reviews because it just didn't work for them. It would be different if there was something wrong with customer service or the product itself. However, with skin care, nail care, and hair care so much of whether or not it'll work for you is left biology and body chemistry and you have to try different products to find the one that works with yours. So it's really unfair to leave negative reviews on products that don't match up with your unique chemistry.wifeofsauron
