First off I thought this was like a thick lotion or cream and no, it is not.. so you’re gonna have to buy a squirt bottle or a mister of some type to go along with this product.  when you shake the bottle it sounds like water but giiiiirl it is not! I freaking love this and it’s a must have!!!! I let it dry into my hair after showering and it makes brushing easier.. I’ve also noticed my hair is in better condition!! I've used this product several times since my purchase and I've found it to be a terrific product! I typically use it before applying Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment. Also, I use it for routine cleansing of my hair. It yields a soft and healthy texture. Since using these products, I've also been using the complete line of Aphogee Keratin Products. I like this leave in conditioner it has a water like consistency. It has almost a fruity pineapple scent. It doesnt moisturize my hair but It is also an additional heat protection so it makes my life easier to not constantly try to buy a seperate heat protectant for styling. It doesnt do much hydration at all but it does the job for a tiny extra bit of moisture. If youre someone that has low perosity hair i don’t recommend as it doesnt have much hydration properties at all but maybe for someone who has an oily scalp and want a more lightweight product this may be the one for you. Overall I recommend this because it is a two in one as the heat protectant is a plus to the product.monica.a

I bought the travel size of this shampoo to test out how it would do on my hair before I splurged on the big bottle. I was also a bit wary of the reviews that claimed it caused hair loss. I have wavy and thick hair with low porosity. I have a very dry, itchy, flakey scalp as well. I read that tea tree oil could help soothe your scalp, so I thought I would try it. I washed my hair as directed. Used about 3 dime sizes for my whole head and massaged it into my scalp. It lathers alright. Not much suds. That made me think that it wasn't cleaning my hair enough so I was tempted to put more shampoo on my head but I did not. The smell is very strong, but it does not linger in your hair post-wash. Usually, my head begins to itch after I wash my hair, but with this shampoo, there was no itch! So I was pleasantly surprised by that. I finished off my hair with the tea tree special conditioner. After I finished showering and dried my hair with a microfiber towel, I noticed no residue on my hair and it felt very clean! I couldn't see any flakes and my scalp wasn't itchy! Just from this, I am very impressed with this shampoo. To address the hair loss comments, I did not notice any significant hair loss when I used the shampoo. I am the type to shed a lot of hair as it is since I have thick hair. I also wash my hair about once a week, so I tend to lose a bit of hair because of that because stray hairs build up over that time. So this might not be good for someone who has thin hair or shampoos frequently. But for me, it works great. Hair loss was about the same or slightly less than usual. I washed my hair about 5 days ago and my hair is a lot less flakey and itchy. It still feels relatively clean with some oil started to build up on my hair. By this time, my hair is usually an oily, flakey mess, but it is not now because of this shampoo! Will definitely splurge for the large bottle!sweetkiwi

Best shampoo out there for oily dandruff ! Used a $400 prescription shampoo for 15 years and of course it worked, however one just can't Afford to keep using a $400 shampoo every day at a 30 day prescription. I'm a licensed stylist and always heard and was taught that Tea Tree has healing ingredients that Actually work . Never had the chance to use it. I got the shampoo and conditioner combo and used it for the first time today. Here are my thoughts: The "tingly" feeling is real. At first I thought it was burning my scalp but it's not. I have extreme dandruff and have tried RX shampoos to help that never worked. My scalp at least "feels" clean. I've seen a lot of reviews about hair falling out and mine did not at all. I have hashimotos disease which causes hair loss to an extreme so I expected clumps again. NOPE. Make sure to brush through your hair before you wash it! This prevents any extra breakage. The small is very strong. I love essential oils for their healing properties but the smells are awful. No exception here! Any tee tree product will smell like this BTW. DISCLAIMER: tee tree can be poisonous in raw form. If you have allergies, do not use this. For people with psoriasis this will not be for you. Keep out of reach from pets as it is poisonous to cats and dogs even as a topical product. Anything with essential oil products can be potentially dangerous and I urge you to research before you buy! For me personally, I think it works great and a lot of the negative comments here are from user error but that's just my opinion.Kelsey

I was able to try this product in exchange for review, which I was thrilled about as I have always wanted to try this particular Shea Moisture line. I have heavily highlighted and have attacked it quite regularly with hot tools. Add in pandemic self-done haircuts, my hair has been feeling rather dry and brittle. After two weeks of using this shampoo, twice a week, My hair feels moisturised but perhaps a little too much so. For my particular hair, I cannot use this is my go-to shampoo, but more as a twice a month or so treatment shampoo. The texture is not like any I have tried before, it is a semi-viscus liquid that pours out like a watery honey, not at all like a standard shampoo, so pay attention in the shower! The smell is a comforting warm vanilla. For my hair this product is a little too moisturising to use with every wash, but if you have coarser hair than mine, I definitely say give it a whirl. I will repeat purchase, as this shampoo does strengthen & restore my hair due effective natural components: Jamaican Black Castor oil, Fair Trade Shea Butter & Peppermint. It's sulfate-free, eligible for colored hair, by the way. The scent is really extremely pleasant like parfume for hair. My man loves the aroma & makes compliments. The only minus that I detected is that as It nourishes hair, my hair becomes one day ahead in comparison with other shampoos with cleaning leading role, not restoring. But I am completely OK with it, as benefits prevail. After use my hair has beautiful silky shine & it becomes healthier. It has helped me to resolve hair loss as well. I was able to try the Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Shampoo as a #freeproduct with #trywithtopbox & was pleasantly surprised. Keeping in mind this is a restorative shampoo it's very unconventional in the way it looks, smells & shampoos the hair. I was very skeptical but was used to it by the 2nd to 3rd time using it. It doesn't suds up/lather as much as a regular shampoo but it does if you really massage the hair well & give it a second shampoo. The color doesn't bother me as I said you get used to it. My hair didn't have the traditional "clean" feeling the first time I used it but there's a definite silkier almost more creamy feel to the hair after using it which is nice. This was a nice surprise! After using it for a few weeks now, I feel like again, I'm used to it & it leaves the hair clean & amazingly hydrated. Keep in mind this is all because this shampoo is sulfate-free (which is a good thing!). So give it a chance! You wouldn't necessarily use this if you have a ton of product in your hair you need to get off (lots of hairspray, gel etc,). This could be used for the second round of shampooing. So recommend to use this when you need some hydration & your hair is heat damaged. Also big plus it didn't burn my eyes which is my number one test with any shampoo especially when I saw the highlighted ingredients as peppermint & apple cider vinegar. I detest mint in general (esp in hair care) & have used products with lots of tea tree oil etc. & do not like it. So points for being subtle smelling & not harsh. Honestly didn't even notice. I have been using the Shea Moisture conditioner for approximately two weeks and was provided them by #trywithtopbox as a #freeproduct for my honest review. I have fine, thin, waist length hair that is naturally blonde starting to go grey, that is prone to split ends and I would describe as normal to oily. I don't wash it daily but every 2 to 3 days it's just too much work to do daily. I used the conditioner as directed and found that my hair combed out fairly easily even while still wet which was great as it tends to tangle quite badly when I don't use a good conditioner on it. My hair was soft and shiny and manageable. The container for this feels slightly greasy when I handle it during use even after rinsing them off. The conditioner bottle uses a pump as a dispenser which is great but I couldn't get the original one that came with the bottle to function. I replaced it with one I had but I noticed that the thick conditioner dries and forms a plug that takes several pumps to force out. Overall I would say this was a good product that worked as advertised and if someone was looking to try this I would recommend it, I'm not sure if it is the best choice for me given the frequency with which I wash my hair.MargarethaM

I received this as a #freeproduct through #trywithtopbox, but this review is 100% my honest opinion. I have fine 2A/2B hair that is coloured/bleached. I really struggle to find conditioning products that are repairing and hydrating for the colour, but not too heavy for my fine hair. Most conditioners really weigh my hair down and make it oily. I didn’t have that experience with the SM manuka honey and yogurt conditioner! First off – the scent is lightweight and really nice. It smells exactly like honey, but isn’t too sweet. The formula is hydrating but not heavy. It’s a thinner consistency than a lot of other repairing conditioners, which worked really well for me. I use one pump from the nape of my neck to my ends and let it sit for a few mins before washing out with cold(ish) water. I don’t believe that long term results can be identified without using the entire bottle, but I will say that my hair has been shinier, easier to detangle after washing, and less frizz since starting to use this product. The ends of my hair are usually the driest, and they seem to be less damaged and have less obvious split ends. I would absolutely continue to use this product, and will rebuy! The only thing I didn’t love is the packaging – the pump on my bottle didn’t really work, and had a hard time getting any amount of product out. I don’t know if it was just mt bottle or a design flaw, but I ended up switching the pump with another bottles I have with a thicker tube, and have not had any problems since.RoseyB37

Matrix Instacure Anti-Breakage Shampoo has a beautiful fragrance. It's very strong. It lingers in my hair. Others have mistaken it for perfume. It does lather but not as much as the brands I ordinarily use. My hair feels soft and clean after use. I don't feel the need to use additional products. What I found interesting after using this product is my hair is returning to its natural condition. My hair is damaged and because it's graying has an almost brassy and harsh shade. Matrix softened the color. I don't dye my hair. I limit the products I use. I air dry it after I wash it. My hair is still damaged but noticeably less than before. I was so excited to try the Matrix Instacure Porosity Spray while also being prepared to be disappointed. I have such a hard time finding leave in conditioning products that don't leave my hair feeling greasy and weighed down. My hair is damaged with split ends and breakage so I am always trying to fix it. To start, I love how convenient and mess free the bottle is. The smell is amazing and lasts forever which I appreciate. My routine with this is to shampoo and condition first. I then apply this to damp hair from mid to ends. While this product is also a heat protectant, I have been trying to minimize any damage so I have been air drying. I have to say I absolutely love this spray! My hair looks and feels healthier and smoother. The breakage and frizz are now tame and soft. While I of course still have split ends and breakage, this product(with the shampoo and conditioner) is making such a dramatic difference already.debby.b

This shampoo comes in a very tall and soft plastic bottle in a bright hot pink shade with a flip top lid. The shampoo itself is creamy and lathers nicely. A 20c size squirt is enough to coat the entirety of my scalp. Although I typically prefer fragrance-free products, I did not mind that this shampoo has a bit of a fragrance, at least initially. It does not linger after the shampoo is washed out. In terms of results, this shampoo cleans well and does not leave my scalp feeling stripped, rather it feels refreshed and balanced. It is unfortunately still too soon to tell whether it will live up to its claim that the liquid proteins contained in the formulation will strengthen my strands and prevent breakage.Linda X.

This is a really nice silky hydrating leave in conditioner. I like to use it after the shampoo and mask from the same line and I love how it makes my hair feel and look. I apply this from mid to ends and comb and style as usual. It leaves my hair soft and shiny without being too heavy. It has some of my favorite nourishing ingredients like argan oil and marula oil. Just like the shampoo, it has a slight lower PH which is what I look for in hair care products since they hydrate but are less damaging. It’s perfect for every day hydration and helps a lot with frizz control, especially on thick wavy hair like mine! I just love the moisture I get from the Drunk Elephant Silkamino Mega-Moisturizing Shampoo for my hair and my scalp loves it too! This really is a deeply moisturizing shampoo I truly feel my hair gets plenty of moisture and feels healthier with use, looks shinier, softer too, and even stronger. It does a great job too at deep cleansing away all my product buildup I have in my hair from all the hair products I use which is a plus, plus dirt, sweat, and oils too it cleanses away. What I like is that soothes my scalp too which is something I was looking for while also looking for something with all these other properties so this shampoo really does it all and my scalp does feel so much better and healthier too! This shampoo has a nice thick formula so all you need is a little to lather up so it’ll last you a long time and I only use a small amount on my past below my shoulders wavy bleached hair. I’ve also noticed my hair is more manageable with less frizz due to the great moisturizing effect and how it is free of all the bad ingredients I’m sure plays a role. Highly recommend!Vmuller2

Wow! Best shampoo I have ever used by far! I have spent years trying to find a shampoo that doesn’t make my hair a tangly matted mess but this cleans my scalp and give my hair slip and hydration at the same time, I have dry curly / wavy hair that gets split ends and breaks easily and I have noticed a significant different in the ends and over all appearance and feel of my hair since using this shampoo and the correlating conditioner. The shampoo has a decent lather and you don’t need much of it as a little goes a long way. The only downside is that for me this product was a lot more than what I’d usually spend on a shampoo/ conditioner but is definitely worth the investment for something that actually works for my hair for once.sophie.b

I really wanted to like this but I just couldn’t so I returned it. The scent was the most part for me… I expected the same scent as the original Moroccanoil Hair oil so maybe my expectation was high? It was almost like those glade spray fresh clean scent to me. I got everything from this brand that I was able to afford to start taking care of it . (Repair, protect and restorative products) It has passed 2 weeks and I’m planning on keep washing my hair every 3-4 days; I have experienced NO frizz as before, no tangle hair, it’s feels soft , smell great, more manageable. I took a chance years ago! My frizz is under control just by shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels LIGHT (not weighed down by other frizz products). My breakage and hair loss is very minimum compared to ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE breakage and hair loss before using WOW! I’ll use this shampoo/conditioner combo forever! This shampoo is a dream for anyone w/ long hair! First, it cleans thoroughly w/out stripping your hair of natural & needed healthy oils. It's gentle while still cleansing. This is one of my favorites I keep in my shower. I love the way it smells, lathers and makes my hair feel afterwards. I like to use this at least once a week, then I squeeze all excess water out and use the Keratin mask in my hair working it from my ends up to my scalp and twisting it on top of my head allowing it to set while I finish my shower and rinse out in cooler water, followed with the keratin conditioner mainly on my ends while I exfoliate or go back over with my favorite body wash and then rinse. This combo really strengthens your hair, giving it elasticity, shine, promotes growth, helps with frizz. I have curly hair and it really does help those ends and volume did I saw strength, lol. This shampoo is amazing! Coupled with the conditioner Creme Brulee and Thick It hair cream, my fine, thinning hair has never looked (or felt) so good. My hair used to be dry and lifeless, even while using expensive products. After seeing a video on L'Ange products, I decided to give them a try. I had read reviews and the marketing for this brand and I wanted to give it a shot. I went with this particular shampoo to try because it seemed best fitted for my hair type which is straight, shoulder length that gets a bit frizzy after blow drying and styling. When I was my hair with this shampoo, I can feel the difference. It is easier to style and it holds a nice smooth style with no friz. It stays well too. I generally wash my hair every other day, but I can easily take it an extra day and not even tough it up. I work out a lot and it still stays great after being in a ponytail and sweating. I got highlights in my hair in May and since then, my hair has been the driest it's ever been. I had tried so many different masks, shampoos, conditioners and nothing was working. I was hesitant to use this shampoo after smelling it, but the reviews are amazing. My hair wasn't damaged, but I could use the extra healthy moisture from this shampoo. After my first use, I noticed my hair felt dryer and almost crispy. I had just colored my hair the day before, so I figured it was that. I used it again 2 days later and it was worse, I now have split ends. I'm working on growing my hair out after damaging and buzzing it off a year ago, so I do not want to have to trim it. I'm using tons of split end mending products now to fix what this shampoo did. Maybe it's too strong for my hair? Well I usually look at ingredient labels, but after seeing reviews of not only this product, but the whole Nexxus line, I thought it wouldn't matter. I have an oily scalp with wavy waist length thick hair (many thin/low porosity strands). Color treated blonde. Problems: fluffy/poofy hair, greasy roots, dry ends, seborrheic dermatitis (on back of scalp) 1. Product longevity: I only used the allotted card sample packet of 10 mL shampoo & 10 mL conditioner, which I was prepared to not be enough for my long hair. It was perfect! It went a long way, which was a pleasant surprise right off the bat. 2. Scent: the fragrance is pleasant, light but it hangs in there, even into the next day. The scent is unisex. It just smells very *clean,* like a fresh aquatic citrus. Although it’s subtle, it is noticeable enough to get a “ooh your hair smells good” when someone goes in for the hug. 3. Effectiveness: this cleaned my hair so well, without making it feel overly dried or stripped. I have a hard time getting a good product that works with my dermatitis, and actually calmed the flare up I was having. Day 2 after wash, my head was so much less itchy than it was all week. My hair stayed clean and free of grease throughout all of day 1 and 2. Paired with the conditioner, my hair was smooth, shiny, soft (but not overly fluffy/full of poofy flyaways). It felt hydrated and my ends looked good. I’ve been faithful to olaplex for the past 2 years, but think I may have a new fave. I noticed that with olaplex, my hair began getting greasy SO quickly. I was getting greasy same day as wash. I still love it (that LATHER and scent tho!), but I think it’s too rich and moisture-focused for regular use given my oily scalp. My seborrheic dermatitis was getting worse and having intense flare ups. Anyway, everyone’s hair is different, and can change in different seasons, so I really don’t think there’s a “one size fits all” hair product that will be best for everyone at all times. For reference: I have LONG hair with a naturally wavy/curly texture, and with that comes frizz. A lot of it – even though I'm very aware of how to tame it (naturally kept or with a blow-out). My hair behaves weirdly, i'll just put it that way – it's difficult to achieve perfectly smooth styles. HOWEVER… I've been using OUAI products (I started with the THICK SHAMP+THICK COND.) for a little bit over a year now & all I can say is…I will NEVER go back to anything else, ever, unless I find something AS extraordinary as this brand. It's like magic in a bottle, to me at least. I have never experienced better hair (at home, done by me) in my entire life. It's insanely smooth & silky. I have such minimal frizz now. I normally need to blow dry AND straighten my hair, but I am beyond satisfied with just the blow-dried results. The only cons, I would say, is that because there's such rich and moisturizing ingredients (love to see it!) your hair can become a tad oily after the third day, even second sometimes. You just need to figure out what the right amount of product is for you so that you don't over do it. The second con, though it's nothing too crazy, would be that sometimes I end up needing more product in the shower, as it doesn't lather suuuuper well – but again, this depends on hair length and the amount that you know you need. I guess I just wish it foamed a bit more, is all. BUT these are such small things that can be resolved & aren't much of a big deal. For the oily con as mentioned above, this is why I switched to the MEDIUM line & I feel like it has helped. The THICK line may have heavier ingredients. I have tried SO many different shampoos and conditioners. A lot from drugstore and high end. And lately I've noticed I've been shedding more than usual. I have been using pureology a lot. I've used strength cure, hydrate and the nano works good line. But for some reason the pureology strength cure especially really irritated my scalp and makes me lose soooo much hair. So I got the ouai thick hair shampoo and conditioner and the first time I used it my shedding was only like 10 hair strands! I've washed my hair 4 times with it now and my hair scalp feels so clean but the shampoo makes washing my hair so easy and doesn't tangle my hair. And the conditioner is chefs kiss. I barely have to use any and my hair is so conditioned after the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is so soft, shiny, clean and my natural waves/curls look really pronounced since using the set. Also they smell AMAZING I want a perfume in the shampoo scent! I got the leave in, oil, and curl cream and they all work together beautifully and don't make my hair feel producty which I like because pureolgy always leaves my hair feeling kinda gross when I use their leave ins. Anyway I totally recommend this set and if you're getting greasy hair from this set try the medium or fine hair set. This just probably isn't for your hair type. I've been using the WOW Skin Science Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo and Coconut Avocado Conditioner for the past 2 weeks and absolutely love them! I've used apple cider vinegar on my hair so I was intrigued when I saw this shampoo. This shampoo works gently to clear build-up and dandruff on the scalp and nourish hair. It works into a nice lather a little goes a long way. It's left my hair clean, shiny and soft. The WOW Coconut Oil Conditioner is ideal for dry or stressed hair. When I opened the conditioner I exclaimed "WOW this smells fantastic!" It makes me feel like I'm on an island sitting under a palm tree and relaxing. It smells that darn good! It's a very thick conditioner but rinses out easily. Between the two of them my frizz issue's aren't there so I'm a happy camper!Lisa J.

I used the WOW products hoping to improve my dandruff issues and detoxify my scalp. The ACV shampoo lathered well, washed out easily, and left a noticeable apple cider vinegar scent. It made my scalp oily and itchy after a day or two. My scalp is not usually oily. My scalp flaked more than usual. I was using it exclusively, but then I began alternating its use with my usual shampoo, which does not make my scalp oily, because I was concerned that the WOW products were too harsh. The conditioner is very thick. I use it on the ends of my hair, not on the scalp. It has a noticeable coconut scent. The labels state there are no sulfates, but the usual sodium lauroyl sulfate is replaced with Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate. I do not know if this is comparatively healthy. It has other chemicals, including sodium benzoate. I did not notice more shine to my hair. These WOW products may not be the best ones for me and my hair concerns. First of all, this product does not feel nourishing at all. The conditioner, maybe, but the shampoo feels extremely dry and does not lather well at all. It does not feel like it is washing my hair by any means. Secondly, I have been using this product for about a month now and I started noticing my hair falling out. I have NEVER had issues with my hair or my hair falling out. I was concerned I had some major health issue going on, but my medical work-up was completely normal. I have got to assume it’s this new product. My hair is literally coming out PAINLESSLY by the chunks just by pulling on it. Unreal. I reached out to Dove customer care and am waiting to hear back. I use this product to interchange with my hair butter in this same line. I use this one week, and the hair butter the next and alternate. Having medium to low porosity hair, I cannot overload my hair with too much product so this works well to hydrate my hair with the LCO regimen, once a week. I follow with a protective style and keep my hair covered with a silk cloth. It helps not wearing my hair out in the cold months, so my hair does not dry out. This order was my first time trying this particular product, and I love the smell, but I was deeply disappointed with the consistency. When I read leave in conditioner, I expect something light and high in water content. I've been not wanting to say this publicly, but the pumps consistently don't work when I receive these products, so much that I've learned to keep the caps that open when you press one side down and that's the only way I can use things. Fix the pump issue, team, it's disappointing when you're twisting so long and nothing happens. Back to the product issue, this is very thick and creamy, so it'd be more appropriate to call this a moisturizer than a leave in. It's sad because I was debating which leave in to try, because I wanted to venture out a bit and try something new. It's so thick in fact, that I had to add spring water to even get the product out. After that it was great, smelled nice and added moisture to my hair. I should have gotten the oatmeal leave in, the pump on that looks like the product will be a true leave in. You can't go wrong with the pomegranate leave in, that's my OG and ALWAYS gets me right.Kendra B.

I have naturally curly unruly coloured treated for decades hair that I use hairdryer & straighteners on. I further abuse my hair by swimming outdoors a lot over tge summer in the sunshine. I was a big Aveda Smooth Infusion fan until I finally listened to my Tony & Guy hairdresser & started using these Olaplex products to repair my badly treated hair & maintain the colour. I am now an Olaplex convert. My hair condition instantly improved after one wash, it smooths my hair better than Aveda Smooth Infusion. It is more concentrated that the Aveda Smooth Infusion so a 250ml bottle of Olaplex lasts much, much longer than the Aveda Smooth Infusion. I have just returned from a week swimming for hours everyday in Greece. Chlorine, sunshine, colour treated unruly hair, hairdryer & straighteners everynight = hair abuse I know. I used Olaplex everynight. I returned with my hair in good condition, the colours maintained & I brought most of the 250ml bottles back of each product. I bought this for my wife and she use this with the No 0, No 3, and the No 5. I must say the combo of these together is amazing. Her hair was pretty much destroyed frome excessive styling, blow drying and box dyes. We could totally tell a difference after just one use of these products together. Her hair looks healthier, has more shine and manageability, doesn't look as damaged, she isn't yanking out knots when she wakes up and brushes her hair plus it just feels so soft and looks smooth not frizzy. It seems like the texture, strength, and even the way her hair is laying is totally changing. The smells not over powering which is something we both love because sometimes hair fragrances clash with perfumes but not Olaplex it's perfectly balanced. The bottles aren't the biggest which was kind of a let down but you don't need near as much as other shampoos so it seems like it will last just as long as a big bottle of regular shampoo. It lathers and rinses out amazingly! The pure magic that comes out of those bottles can't be beat and it's so worth it! The duo of the conditioner, shampoo and other products used together can't be matched or beat! Her hair and her self imaging is healing and getting better after each use. Thank you Olaplex for giving my wife control of her hair and confidence back. We can't wait to see what happens after extended use. I’ve been having issues with thinning and breakage for a couple of years now and it really does seem like I’ve tried almost everything. I kept my expectations low but since a lot of friends have used and liked Olaplex I decided that it would be worth it to try and so far it has been. Obviously it can’t cure thinning due to stress/genetics but the texture of my hair has approved tenfold since I started using the No 0, 3,4,and5. Since my hair is quite fine and thin I use the bond building treatment and hair perfecter 1-2 times a week for the past month. Honestly I am stunned at the results. Since it’s not a permanent fix but a treatment, you do have to continue using it. I did read somewhere that there’s no way for it to permanently fix your already damaged hair but it can definitely treat it while the damage grows out. It doesn’t weigh my hair down, there’s no apparent residue, and it felt healthier and looked healthier after only the first try and has consistently improved since. I’ve tried so many products that just seem to sit on top of my hair and reflect light instead of actually improving anything texturally. I was also stunned at the quality of the product, not just in effect but a little really does go a long way in each one of my products. It smells and feels amazing. I could clearly go on. I’m just so pleasantly stunned! I had read some very negative reviews and was prepared to just take a chance and I’m thrilled and impressed with the results. It’s made me finally feel like I can get my hair back to something I love again. This line of products is great just buyer beware that not every hair type can handle a strengthening shampoo and conditioner everyday, I used this everyday during quarantine and my hair began to feel thick yet brittle. I wasn't able to run a brush or even my hands through it wet or dry. It felt like I had years of product build up in my hair, very heavy and weighed down and began cracking and stiffening at the ends. Finally braved my salon after 6 months and my hair dresser (who I have been going to for 14 years) touched my hair and immediately told me it wasn't normal, especially for my hair and asked if I was using a strengthening shampoo. She advised that a strengthening shampoo should be used once a week max and not for daily use. I ended up having to have a salon Malibu treatment to strip the build up and then a deep condition to make it healthy. Ended up costing me 2 more hours and $50 extra in my salon bill. Again this make work for some or most but my hair does not agree with this shampoo and conditioner. Thank goodness my hair recovered after the treatment. I have fine to normal straight hair.SR

I first used this product when samples were sent to me as a free gift when I purchased something else. I have very THICK curly hair and it literally feels like straw. I cant put too many products in it or it gets really greasy. Literally cant win. I love to just use shampoo/conditioner and a simple leave in treatment. I used this combo and my hair felt so amazing. I didn't have to use a leave in conditioner. I could brush through my hair no problem. literally zero tangles. It made my hair feel stronger, healthier and just more alive (you would understand if your hair is straw like) after the sample was gone I bought the big bottles and its seriously my favorite. So glad I tried this! My hair is wavy, long, and fine. It is colored red and as everyone knows, red definitely is prone to fading. I have not been using this long enough to say if it will retain my color any better than any other good sulfate free shampoo but so far so good! The reason I am so excited about this shampoo though is that my hair really looks terrific after I use it (along with the matching conditioner). It leaves my hair soft, full, clean, and well conditioned. I have tried so many other sulfate free shampoos and while they did help to protect my color better than regular shampoo, they left my hair feeling coated and looking dry or limp. My hair has so much bounce and shine after I use this– it's definitely my new favorite shampoo. Finally I love the scent. To me it's a subtle rose scent, not overpowering, just clean and floral. The scent fades pretty quickly though. I highly recommend this shampoo and conditioner!Ellen P

Love it! I had the lovely issue of washing my hair and then having it look oily and unclean less than 24 hours later, not a great look I can tell you that much. With this shampoo I massage deeply into the scalp and then "clench" my hands down the rest of it: my hair is just about the shoulders so this method works well. After that I use one of those all (natural, nothing in it, blah blah blah, you know the ones) conditioner on all the hair that isn't on my scalp, and the results are great. Though it works well without conditioning to, that's just a preference. I can easily get to the 48hr. make without having oily looking hair! It even works during that "time" of the month when my hair used to have to washed everyday beforehand. And it's gentle enough to use daily, though I never need to after the first few uses. Definitely give this product a try if you have an oily hair problem like me!madison.m

TRESemme has to be one of the more controversial brands for shampoo out there, but I've always been neutr to them. This product I picked up randomly, and works just fine. I did notice that hair loss was lessened, and it has a lot of nurturing ingredients. My biggest gripe against it however is that it can be drying for the scalp, so be careful if you have dry scalp.gab.l

First off I thought this was like a thick lotion or cream and no, it is not.. so you’re gonna have to buy a squirt bottle or a mister of some type to go along with this product.  when you shake the bottle it sounds like water but giiiiirl it is not! I freaking love this and it’s a must have!!!! I let it dry into my hair after showering and it makes brushing easier.. I’ve also noticed my hair is in better condition!! I've used this product several times since my purchase and I've found it to be a terrific product! I typically use it before applying Aphogee Two Step Protein Treatment. Also, I use it for routine cleansing of my hair. It yields a soft and healthy texture. Since using these products, I've also been using the complete line of Aphogee Keratin Products. I like this leave in conditioner it has a water like consistency. It has almost a fruity pineapple scent. It doesnt moisturize my hair but It is also an additional heat protection so it makes my life easier to not constantly try to buy a seperate heat protectant for styling. It doesnt do much hydration at all but it does the job for a tiny extra bit of moisture. If youre someone that has low perosity hair i don’t recommend as it doesnt have much hydration properties at all but maybe for someone who has an oily scalp and want a more lightweight product this may be the one for you. Overall I recommend this because it is a two in one as the heat protectant is a plus to the product.monica.a

I have naturally wavy, dry, and fine hair. Because life has been so busy the past year (earlier this year I had my 4th child), I have been neglecting my hair. I have been using inexpensive drugstore shampoo and it has unfortunately left my hair very dry and lackluster. I've noticed my hair has become "crispy" and almosty feels like rope. I was wondering if I needed to get a clarifying shampoo or professional moisturizing treatment. After just a few weeks of using Nexxus Hydra-Light shampoo, my hair has significantly improved. It is much softer, bouncier, and looks healthy. I no longer feel there is a waxy film on my hair from the cheap stuff. I've also noticed I have more volume, probably because my hair is more clean. The scent is very pleasant and not overpowering as well. Would recommend this shampoo to anyone whose hair may have become unmanageable from overuse of cheap hair products.eljdegu

I tried this shampoo looking for product that would add volume to my fine/medium density hair and because I heard great things. This shampoo made my hair feel like straw after; it was incredibly staticky, dull, and had absolutely no volume. I followed up with the conditioner, and it felt like I hadn't put conditioner in my hair at all. After doing some research, I found out why: This shampoo contains sodium laureth sulfate or sulfate. It is extremely drying and strips your hair of natural oils; however, the effects of sulfate can be negated with a conditioner that uses silicone (a synthetic oil that is bad for the environment as it does not break down). The matching conditioner does not have silicone to recoat your hair, leaving it dry and brittle from the damaging effects of the shampoo. Ideally, you don't want sulfate or silicone in your hair. I don't know why this line would tote not having silicone but then still use sulfate. It's just setting your hair up for damage. I thought I would add what I found for anyone considering using this line, especially if you have sensitive scalp/hair. I believe nexxus does have some sulfate free shampoos.MichelleK103

Good product! It did not make my hair feel coarse or dry, nor did it strip too much of the natural oil. I appreciate the good ingredients. The smell of the shampoo is good, it smells similar to regular drug store shampoos. The bottle says it takes 3-5 months to really see results and I’ve just been using it a week so I still have yet to see the growth results, but I do really like the formula so far.Lindsey

Excellent hair shampoo !! does what it claims it will do, which is to grow hair, a little pricy for what I normally spend on shampoo but I had to try it out. Its amazing, I started seeing positive results from the first week that I used it. My case is not as severe as a lot of other people, just a little thinning on the top of my head. I just wanted to see if there was something on the market that could help me out. That's when I saw an ad for this shampoo so I decided to try it out. I noticed it has a lot of strong ingredients in it. It puts out a strong vaporing feeling when I rub the shampoo in my hair. It makes my hair really thick that I need to use a lot of hair conditioner to get all the tangles out. All and all I think its a good American made product, definitely feel my hair looks better using it than not using it. I hope they will keep the prices down, because I want to keep using it.Wesley
