I really wanted to love this conditioner. I am 39, with fine, curly 3A hair that is beginning to thin. I am transitioning to natural hair and have begun co-washing. Finding a growth stimulating conditioner that doesn’t require a shampoo is harder than you’d think! This conditioner ticked so many boxes. And it actually left my hair feeling wonderfully soft. Soft enough that I didn’t mind the slightly medicinal scent. Sadly, after only a couple of uses, my skin near the hairline, my back, and even my ears started to break out horribly. Tiny, itchy, bumpy acne so inflamed that I had to wear foundation for the first time in years and basically went into hiding. Even my ear LOBES broke out. I have always been sensitive to ingested biotin, being one of the unlucky few that gets terrible breakouts, but I thought using it topically might have a different reaction. And honestly, I’m not sure that it was even the biotin. All I know is the one con seriously outweighed all the pros I encountered. It gets two stars because I respected the ingredients, was reasonably priced, and actually did leave my hair feeling great. I sadly could not use it long enough to attest to the growth stimulation.
This shampoo and conditioner is amazing and making changes to my hair. I wash it twice, once to get the dirt etc, out then again so the shampoo can do its job also once a month i leave conditioner in for 20 mins with shower cap on for a deep treatment only been using a few weeks and hair transforming. In mature years so many changes to the hair but this product is solving a lot of problems especially thining due to less hormones. A permanent fixture in my cupboard. Expensive? yes of course!!! if you want the best you have to pay for it same as eveything in life "you only get what you pay for".

I was searching for a new go to shampoo and conditioner, something for my fine but thick, damaged and frizzes easily hair (its humid in the south), as I'm growing it out since I had to do a big chop. When blow drying you can still smell the luxurious smell, faintly not over powering but where you know your hair smells SO GOOD! My frizz and fly aways are definitely helped by this product. I normally straighten my hair almost daily, but since my big chop and I'm growing out my natural hair, I want it super healthy and the least amount damaged as possible, so right now no flat iron only blow drying and it looks very good! I had been using Head and Shoulders and other various dandruff shampoo brands for my dandruff for years and never really found anything that helped much. I tried scalp scrubs, masks, rinses, treatments, etc and tons of home remedies and never found anything very effective. Until I saw a dermatologist on TikTok mention that dandruff is actually caused by a FUNGUS on your scalp 🤢 So gross. I’ve struggled with dandruff for years and have tried EVERY product; Selsun Blue, T/Gel, head and shoulders, home remedies, you name it. Head and Shoulders was really the only thing I found that kept it somewhat at bay and I still only use the condition along with using Nizoral shampoo. I have very thick and curly hair so I don’t wash it often which is why none of the other products worked for me because they would make my hair way too greasy. This is going to sound very disgusting but at one point many years ago I had dandruff really really bad. At least I thought it was the address. I kept using every single day and your shampoo I could find and it did very little. My skin on my scalp would flake and almost healed to the point of being a lot like cradle cap that little babies have. Not only did this product not work as advertised, but it actually did the opposite. if I could give it 0 stars I would!!!I ignored the bad reviews that I had seen where people talked about their hair falling out after using this product. They sounded exaggerated to me. However, the first week I used this product I noticed that every time I took a shower my hair was clogging up the drain. That has never happened in my life…..My hair is cut with clippers on the side and back, and only about 1 inch long on the top. Not even close to long enough that this should happen. It was obviously due to the volume of hair that was falling out. It stopped after a week and I foolishly kept using this shampoo and conditioner. After 4 months, instead of having 2 small spots where my hair was thinning (which is the reason I bought this product), the entire top of my head was thinning. On top of that my hair had become frizzy, tangled, and very difficult to manage. I was using Shea Moisture brand shampoo with Manuka honey and got some decent results but I don't like that they false advertise the Manuka honey part (they just list "honey" as their ingredients). This shampoo and conditioner have two different smells and they're both amazing. It is relaxing to use these products because the smells are light but fresh and remind me of a tropical beach or something. I've been using this product for about two months now and I shower daily. I noticed my hair isn't necessarily getting thicker, nor is it reversing the hair loss, but I feel like it is helping slow down the thinning and my hair looks and responds more healthy. I've accepted that my genetics won't allow my hair to be thick and lush like some, but I am grateful I have hair at all still because baldness runs in my family. I've accepted that I might go bald one day despite using amazing products like this, but that's just life. You have to accept who you are. Try this product, drink more water, get more vitamins from whole foods, exercise, eat more protein. This product will work best in conjunction with a healthy life style. Also I wouldn't limit this product to just people with thinning hair, this product is great for all hair types as long as you're not allergic to any of the ingredients. Hands down best hair product I've ever used and I don't think I'll use anything else in the foreseeable future.

I used Rene Furterer products some time back and forgot just how good they are. This is the best shampoo I have used in quite some time. You only need about the size of a quarter and it makes lots of lather. Gets the hair very clean, not much smell to it which is really best (non irritating). It is very gentle on the hair. I followed directions which is very important. Also, I followed up with the Okara conditioner for color treated hair. They make a definite difference in the way the hair looks and feels. I would highly recommend.

I regularly use Pura D'Or ACV shampoo and conditioner. I love it. However since my hair is high-maintenance needing moisture I use a lot of conditioner. I decided to order just a bottle of conditioner alone. I tried a different type to see how alternating two different lines would benefit my hair. I know that some ingredients have different properties. The number one ingredient in the ACV conditioner is aloe vera. I have been using this shampoo for YEARS. When i first experienced clumps of hair shed I used it and immediately it halted my hair shed by half. My roots also felt lifted. It's not a miracle but it save a lot of my hair. What really helped my hair is cutting A LOT of hair off basically into a pixie cut, and getting blood work and finding the cause. For me I had severe iron deficiency anemia and never took any supplements for it. For years I had broken thin hair, that barely reached my nose in the front, Frankenstein mullet. My doctor ordered a prescription for iron and I got other pixie cut and treating my hair gently. I followed my prescription exactly. Used this shampoo, good conditioner, a weekly mask and pinned my hair up frequently to avoid friction but I blowout my hair every week with heat protectant. One year later and all of my hair goes past my chin and no bald spots. So major and life changing my boyfriend teases me saying he blinked and my hair grew. It's not thick and long but I have a good thickness lob now. I am extremely happy. Correcting my severe anemia was the biggest help to my hair but this shampoo helped control the damage. (Also my fatigue, pica, 15 hour slumbers and my inability to run with getting winded instantly gone with my iron prescription) This shampoo helped me keep the little hair I had over the years and I still use it. I was very happy to find this shampoo on Walmart.com. My first purchase of it was from Amazon and the shampoo was very thin and watery, I was not happy with the amount I would have to use to just get a lather. This new bottle from Walmart was so much better, the product was thicker and I'm not having to use as much to attain a good lather. I have been using for a couple of months and so far I have noticed that I am not having as much hair loss and I seem to have a lot of new growth. It leaves my hair feeling light and not weighed down as some shampoo do. Overall I am happy with the product, only complaint would be the smell but that is probably because of the tea tree oil, I hate that smell. After years of bleach and colour, my hair had broken off and become really short and extremely damaged. I was a little apprehensive and had almost given up hope after trying almost everything to fix my 'broken' hair After literally 2 months of using Waterman's shampoo and conditioner every other day, I have noticed at least 2 inches of growth and a massive improvement in the overall condition of my hair. Although pricier than normal products, Waterman's is still competitively priced and lasts for ages as you only need a little as it lathers really well. I have been using the Grow Me shampoo & conditioner since the end of March. I was recommended it because my medication for breast cancer was making my hair thin and just wasn't growing. I used this shampoo as part of the full intense thickening system. Of all of the products in the system, the shampoo felt the most basic. It lathered well and smelled good, but the smell was almost too intense. All the products in the line have the same scent. However, the shampoo was overpowering in the shower and lingered even after a few days. That might be a plus to some, but I found the smell reminded me of stuffy, vintage luxury hotels—a little grandma-like. Overall, the shampoo did its job. I took my time massaging it in my hair and scalp to give it some time to absorb the nutrients. It cleaned my hair well and wasn't drying at all after rinsing. I didn't notice any particular reduction in hair fallout or softness on its own, but as part of the system, I think maximizing on all of the beneficial ingredients did help my scalp health as a whole. I have very fine hair that gets oily easily, and I noticed that as I was using this shampoo, my hair got oily a bit faster than usual, so I wonder if it's a bit too nourishing for my scalp. The more frequent oiliness went away after I introduced a clarifying shampoo though. I'd recommend it if you're planning to use the whole intense thickening system, but don't get it on its own, and be sure to use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week to help reduce build up.judy.z
I essentially replaced my current shampoo and conditioner and started using this the moment I got it. I wanted to be able to leave as legit of a review as I could for as long as the voxbox would allow before needing to leave my reviews. I wash my hair frequently at least 3 to 4 times weekly (that's just my preference) so this got used regularly and I can honestly say that the set as a whole does indeed make my hair feel thicker, fuller and overall healthier like it claims to. The scent is pleasant and lasts a lot longer than other products I've used. It feels like a high end brand to me. I liked being able to let my hair air dry and not having too much frizz. The thickness that it added wasn't a volume thickness just more of a my hair felt like "I had more of it feeling" I don't know if that makes sense but it makes your hair feel plentiful. I enjoyed trying this. I don't necessarily have an obsession with wanting thicker hair so I don't see the need to buy again for that purpose but for scent alone and the fact that my hair feels great using it I'd buy again and use again in the future.felicia .h
I suffered postpartum hair loss after having my first child in 2020 and once everything started growing back in and filling out, I got COVID and it took a bit of a toll on my hair! I was so excited to receive this Voxbox because it was a perfect fit for my hair needs! I have experimented with using only the shampoo and conditioner and not the serum and mask. Although I love the shampoo and conditioner using this mask along with the serum gives incredible results. My wispy baby hairs and fragile hair around my ears are growing a lot quicker than they were before incorporating all 4 products into my hair care regimen. I noticed my hair felt a lot stronger and resilient using the shampoo and conditioner alone, but I started seeing growth once I started using the whole system. However, the shampoo and this conditioner alone have much to offer! The shampoo is very potent and can kind of make your hair feel stripped – but the conditioner sorts it right out. If you use the serum and the mask along with the shampoo and conditioner though you won't have that problem after a couple uses! That's why it's a system 🙂 it doesn't lather much, which threw me off and made me use a little too much the first time, but it definitely cleanses. Remember to use it on your scalp, NOT your ends! I probably wouldn't use the shampoo without the conditioner or at least the mask, just because I could see it alone being drying. A lot of reviews complain about the smell, but I find it clean and uplifting and it dies down throughout the day. I used to use this years ago, but then I lightened hair and began using other products. When I saw this included in the Jumbo sale, I decided to see if it was still a goodie. It still leaves my hair clean, but not stripped. The conditioner is also still great. Will keep this in rotation. For those complaining about this and the conditioner: are you using CHEAP alternatives?? This is sulfate free and the conditioner is silicone free. Silicone coats your hair which gives the illusion of silkiness, but it is actually more damaging as it continues to build up on your hair and scalp. Do research before you sit here and complain and go back to a $5 alternative!!!Beachmom19
I'd read mixed reviews about this product, some people said it was drying, others said it restored the health of their chemically damaged hair. My own hair is bleached and naturally curls and i have been looking for something to help it grow and get back into good, strong condition for a while. This product is unlike all my other shampoos, as it doesn't lather up a lot, which I actually really like, i have heard that its better for your hair when it doesn't, and it forces me to massage my scalp which improves circulation etc. The shampoo feels lovely when you massage it in, and amazingly it does spread if you just massage it into your scalp with your fingertips and add a little water, it takes a little patience. It smells clean, but not overly perfumed. More than anything after a first wash i am noticing my hair is voluminous, full of body and bounce, but one thing i will say is this is definitely not a stand-alone product. I think i got beautiful results by using the conditioner that goes with it and a keratin based blow-dry cream. The conditioner in this range is a little light and i normally prefer something heavier i was surprised how after the shampoo it absorbed right into my hair rather than simply sitting on it but i still needed to add a little more moisture part way into drying and styling, or i suspect the blow-dry process would have left my hair puffy. It was looking quite fluffy and flyaway part-way into drying but now it looks really thick & shiny, smells amazing and looks and feels healthy but not "silky soft". .I think truth be known lots of products give a false appearance of hair health with oils that sit on the hair and weigh it down. I'm hoping in time my hairs overall health will improve using this. I feel quite torn about it as a product. I just expect keratin to make my hair sleek but instead i have so much body. I love it. It's unexpected. I will definitely buy this product again . It's great for my hair type. I just wouldn't recommend this to somebody who understands keratin to mean silky sleek.livvy

I've used this shampoo before, and loved it. This bottle had what I can only describe as plastic particles, shaped like "beads" in it. When I was shampooing in the shower, I thought it was odd that there were "beads" in the shampoo, but assumed that they were maybe moisturizing beads like you'd find in body or face wash, so I used the shampoo. As I was rinsing out, I could feel that these "beads" weren't coming out of my hair and I started to panic. It took me close to an hour to comb out all of these "beads" from my wet hair. I contacted customer service, and while I did receive a refund, they didn't try to communicate with me what these "beads" could be and why they were in this bottle of shampoo. I offered to send it back so that they could see it themselves, but they told me it wasn't necessary. While, the customer service was prompt and friendly, I can't say I'm satisfied with the outcome. I'll probably purchase again, but only in-store so that I can look at the product before.andrea l.
I was SO excited to try this shampoo and conditioner. First of all it smells amazing and left my hair smelling incredible just like the lotion and spray smell. It lathers well and a little goes a really long way which is great because it's very expensive considering how small the bottles are. BUT it made my hair SOOOO dry. I am so sad because it's expensive and the bottles are small and it messed my hair up so bad. I didn't have any issues with my hair before I started using these and my hair was silky and shiny and now it's like straw and just dull and frizzy. I'm just so disheartened. It hurts me to leave this review because I ADORE Sol de Janeiro and haven't disliked any of their products but this one was just really bad for my hair and damaged it.Ceci
I've been using this shampoo for the last couple years, and I swear it's changed. The last three or four bottles have been so watery! You used to have to squeeze to get the stuff out. It was the consistency of thick ketchup, you know? Like a sauce. Now I feel like I should throw ice cubes in and drink it. When I shake the bottle it sloshes around—never used to. And when I go to use it, it's all too easy to pour out too much. I used to say it was worth the price because it smelled delicious and a little went a long way. I received this free product from Influenster/Marc Anthony for feedback and here’s my honest review: I really like this product. My hair had been thinning for some time and, after my first use of this product along with the same brand/line’s conditioner I saw a noticeable difference in how thick my hair looked. Unfortunately I did not take any photos of my hair at the start of product use — I wish I had! — and so I can’t speak to whether my hair looks thicker because hair grew or because this product just makes hair appear so. In any case, my hair looks and feels great since using this product line (almost a month, now): thicker, definitely softer, less frizz, and it smells amazingly. I’ve already recommended this to family and friends and I’m ready to buy replenishment as soon as I finish the free ones I received.marty.s
This was such a fun campaign to be in! There were FOUR full sized products that I got to try. I definitely felt I got a good sense of each product before writing my review. With that being said though, I honestly was not a fan of the shampoo. It’s not necessarily the product’s fault though because unless it was formulated for a dry scalp, there was no way I was going to be able use this long term. My hair didn’t feel drier the few of times I used this, but it also didn’t feel more moisturized either. It did look like it had a tad more volume, but that was probably in combination with the other products. It did smell really good (reminded me of a Bath and Body Works lotion. Couldn’t pinpoint which one) and the scent lasted for a couple days actually, but unless you have a normal scalp with hair that doesn’t require too much hydration, I would recommend sticking to your regular shampoo.christina.l
I’m super bummed about this shampoo. I read so many great reviews, and I found it at Walmart for a great price. So here we go — pros: it smells ANAZING. Like, super good. It kinda reminds me of Bath and Body Works sweet pea scent. And it’s sulfate free! Cons: It made my hair feel INCREDIBLY dry on the ends. Bad. And that was after the conditioner (plus rinsing with cold water). It also left a weird crunchy residue feeling on the top part of my hair, too. I made sure to rinse it all off as well, but it felt super weird on top when it started to dry. I’ll maybe use it one or two more times and then throw out the bottle. This product could work for you, though. I’ve read more good reviews than bad. I just personally haven’t had a good experience with it. Like, my hair was practically SCREAMING for hydration after using this product. I have very fine hair but a lot of it, and I’m just saying — my hair felt healthier after bleaching it awhile back than it did after using this shampoo + conditioner.
