So far the best Purple Shampoo I've found. I have not used it long but My hair shines and actually feels thicker and softer. It hasn't really taken out all my brassiness yet but maybe after a few more uses it will. I am transitioning from medium brown colored treated hair to my natural white/grey hair that I'm letting grow out. It is very fine so my hairdresser didn't want to bleach it anymore for fear of damaging it more to get the orange and yellow tone out of it. So my hair was damaged from bad salon experience and left there with blonde hair alright but also alotta my hair falling out too…. More than I should’ve had. I’ve had it done before I know what’s normal and not for this process but it Has taken me months and months to regain some of the structure and strength back but only from using products like this. I have huge blonde hair care regiment but recently was sent this samples from Pinchme.com and I fell in love with this product the moroccanoil blonde perfecting shampoo and conditioner color care. I could tell after one use the different in my strands as far as they felt fuller softer and a lot stronger too. I have already purchased my own and is in its way in the mail as we speak. But I can’t say enough about the shampoo seriously the strength added to my hair after using and the toning feature was amazing. I have different depths of blonde and I felt that this made those lighter money pieces that perfect icy I’ve been looking for + strengthening in other product and only found here. Others I have to use separate product .. with moraccanoil u get it all in one tube!! Smell is beautiful the product color is rich purple and it won’t leave ur hair heavy or with residue. But clean and healthy feeling. I used as shampoo then rinsed … swueeze out all water from hair with hands and reapply from front hair line back to ur ends and massage thru without sudsing up the product and leave set for 10/15 minutes depending on how porous ur hair is. (Do this for more toning effect) Mines was needing toned again and is pretty porous so I left in longer… but not too long. Anyhow I’d recommend to anyone who has chemically treated and or damaged hair needing give it some TLC. Price is fair considering other brand and they dint work as well as this one trust me.. I’ve wasted a lot of money trying to find the right ones to maintain my blond locks!! Also I left my conditioner in for about 5minutes too. But my hair is very dry of course. I think this is the combo for me! Today is my first day using the Moroccanoil Purple Shampoo and the Moroccanoil Purple Conditioner, and here's my thoughts: Both the shampoo and conditioner have a rich purple color, which is nice since most conditioners I've tried in the past are much lighter in color compared to their shampoo counterpart. Both smell really nice, too. I left the shampoo in for about 5 minutes, rinsed, and then I left the conditioner in for probably 5+ minutes before I rinsed with cold water. This is the best toning combination I've ever tried. After one use, I can definitely tell the difference in less brassiness. I wouldn't recommend leaving both products in as long as I did, however – I purposely did so to see if I could get a dramatic result, and a few strands have a very light violet/gray tone to them, which I love! I will definitely be buying both the shampoo and conditioner soon since I think both will help keep my hair healthy and a nice shade of blondechopper923
It has got rich, creamy and lathering texture, don’t need to use a lot of product and it lathers through the hair well. The colour is brightly deep purple and pigmented. The scent feels a bit strong during washing but after washing and through the day hair smell nice, refreshed and fragrance is mild. After washing hair is easy to brush but once hair is dry combing is a bit harder, hair feels dry and like straws therefore it causes some hair breakage. There is much difference in hair tone, hair looks much brighter, shiner, radiant, lighter and improved in colour. On the second day hair still feels clean and fresh in scent, however I have noticed that this shampoo dries out hair and strips off it’s natural moisture. Another minus for this product that it stains under nails and some dry skin areas which takes time to wash off. I would not use this product frequently but occasionally (once a week or once in two weeks). I put a heavy dose (about 2 oz/60 mL) on my level 9 shoulder length hair that was looking VERY yellow. left the shampoo on for 3 minutes before using matrix lamellar water and it looks like i did a toning treatment at the salon. prior to this i used John Frieda Violet Crush but i always felt like instead of helping to tone it just made my hair look muddy and made me want to strip it, bleach it, dye it, anything to cover up the ugly dullness. This shampoo actually has HEAVY DUTY pigment to overhaul ugly brassy tones but isnt just "dumb purple pigment" that doesnt even help like Violet Crush. I think one of the most annoying things about purple shampoos is how drying they can be on the hair but after using this my hair actually felt more hydrated. I received this product in exchange for a review. This product works pretty well but not out of the ballpark amazing. I am 6 months pregnant right now and currently have a hard time keeping up on my platinum blonde hair. That being said thai product is pretty concentrated and does it's job pretty well for the ends of my hair that are still very much blonde. I really don't like the smell of this shampoo I think it is overwhelmingly resemblance of being in a salon and am pretty glad the scent does not continue far beyond the rinse. As for if it improved my hair structure I would say I didn't see any improvement there at all but I still have a full bottle despite using it daily. The yellow tone though is pretty much gone though. I would recommend it if it were drastically price cut because the price tag associated with this product is way too high in my opinion I've used other products under 10 dollars with the same results that you can easily pick up at your local store.Hefaroni26
I know the going trend is purple/grey platinum blonde, which I don't think this would be the best for, but if u want to keep your warmth without being brassy, this works better than any purple shampoos I've used. I have a lot of Irish heritage, pale skin and eyes, lots of light freckling in sun touched spots and firey red and gold inside my naturally brown follicles that shines very brightly in sun light. The warmth has become more pronounced with age and even the stripes of brunette that are left untouched after doing lightening balayage are a redening chestnut/auburn. the warm blonde really compliments my coloring so I'm not complaining, I just don't want it to be too yellow or too brassy. all of the other purple shampoos I have tried made my hair look almost green, even redken which I read was specifically recommended by experts for warm blondes, and it didn't matter how quick I rinsed it out after applying,, it clashed with my hair coloring so badly.. I hated it. I was so thrilled to try this and find it actually worked perfectly, no brassy-ness or ugly yellow, just perfectly golden honey warm blonde and auburn/chestnut. I love ash blonde and the purple tinted platinum but this happy accident of a warm hair color works better on me than I'd have imagined and I'm so thrilled to find a way to maintain it. idk about it being drying like some others said, I've found all purple shampoos to be a little drying, I assumed because they lather so well and also I do a pre-wash so there's no product impeding it. having color treated hair, I always add lots of super conditioning products, hydraters and proteins treatments before I'm done on wash day and also being a warm blonde, I only use purple shampoo once a month, preferably when it's time for a clarifying cleanse and I do an oil treatment the night before. I tried to get a pic of the hair but it doesn't do justice and I gtg but u get an idea. also thanks to quarantine, I haven't had any coloring in a year.SNikic

I honestly don't know if the product works because I had to re-condition my hair with another product to try to get the awful smell out of my hair. The fragrance smells like old man/ dead animal. It was not designed for a woman who is the main user of this product. Maybe a few men might like the old man / dead animal smell, but it is not marketed for men. I've been bleaching my hairs for years and have tried countless brands of purple shampoo. I've been told by my hairdresser that sulfates strip toner and to avoid shampoos with that ingredient. I noticed this shampoo had sulfates but I went ahead and tried it anyway because of all the good reviews. I've used it 3 times since my last bleach and tone, and my hair is A LOT more yellow than my appointment. I noticed after the first wash that my hair looked a little worse but I decided to try to keep using it and my toner literally vanished before my eyes. I definitely recommend a shampoo without sulfates (Joico is one example). This shampoo also dries out your hair causing it to build up grease not even 24 hours after showering. I read so many reviews, watched so many videos, even asked my hair stylist about this shampoo before buying it. Sad to say this didn't work for me. Made my hair nice when applied, thought everything was great. Beautiful lather….. then I wash it out. My hair felt so gummy it literally scared me. The product didn't really do anything for my hair. Will be returning. I have used the "Total Results So Silver Triple Power Hair Mask". It works great didn't dry my hair out at all. I try to stay away from Parabens, Silicones & Sulfates. It does contain amodimethicone. But I prefer the mask over shampoo for my blonde hair.Nani

I couldn’t figure out why my hair was falling out. I stopped using this shampoo out of pure laziness for 2 weeks, when I started using it again I then noticed it’s this shampoo causing my hair loss. It literally comes out in chunks immediately after and keeps coming out in chunks for days. It may take a few Washes to get use to applying a very purple shampoo to your hair, but there's nothing more effective for removing orange or brassiness from blonde hair. About a week ago, I decided I wanted to dye my hair. I bought bleach and developed and started bleaching my hair. It did not go well. The next day, I went back to the store, looking for something to fix my at home bleach fail. I warmed up to my weird brassy orangeish yellow, so I decided I would stay blonde for a while, but I definitely want lighter hair. I bought the Violet crush shampoo and the conditioner, along with more bleach to fix some still very dark spots in my hair. After bleaching the dark spots out, turning them a weird light yellow, I washed my hair with this shampoo. I only left it in for a minute and it already made my hair look better and the color more even. Today, I decided to leave the shampoo in my hair for five minutes and I can see the difference. The lighter parts of my hair look better now. I'd definitely recommend using the Violet crush conditioner after the shampoo, though. Here’s what she had to say: Shampoo lathered well and very few tangles after conditioning. It did turn down the brassiness without making my hair look too ash blonde. I think for the price point it holds its own. I don’t like it as well as some similar shampoos and conditioners sold in salons, but I do like the price point! What I dislike: I was underwhelmed by the smell not a whole lot to it. One day after use my hair does feel a little more weighed down and more oily then normal. This may be an unpopular opinion but I will say it; Milkshake's purple shampoo is better than Fanola's. My sister and I were both using Fanola once every 3 washes to tone our blonde hair but found the pigment fading quickly no matter how long I kept it in my hair (which is why we used it so often) and ended being too drying. I didn't like my hair texture from using Fanola and my sister ended up buying Milkshake's purple shampoo on a whim. I massage this into my hair and keep it on for 5-10 minutes before washing it out, making my hair silver bordelining lavender purple, which I definitely prefer because my hair stays ashy for a longer period of time. I found that my hair holds on better to the pigments in the Milkshake shampoo (I can go for 5-6 washes now) and feels a lot more soft and hydrated. Another perk of this shampoo is that it smells great and lathers very well, which makes my hair washing experience so much better.tina.t
I really do like this shampoo. I have tried so many different silver shampoos and non were able to give me a result like this. I try it two different ways. When I just need a slight touch up on my blonde, I lather it and leave it in for 2-5 mins. When I need a dramatic pull, I apply it when my hair is dry and leave it in for 5 mins before I lather and wash it out. Does leave a little purple behind for a couple days, but comes out easily. I find that the colour consistency in this shampoo is thinker than a lot of others and it lasts me quite a while even though I have longer hair. I wish this had existed decades ago. I'm a natural brunette who has been every color in the rainbow and has fought unwanted reddish orange undertones. I'm 51 and have been coloring my hair since 13. I hate most Ash boxed dyes as they are harsh looking. I recently bleached out several years of black dude from my now salt and pepper hair, suffered with a too light for me blonde because of damage, and was finally able to get to a dark ash blonde only to see it become orangey after a week. Enter this shampoo. I lathered up, let it sit while I washed and shaved, rinsed, conditioned and dried my hair. It looked amazing! And it felt great too! I never really write reviews unless I believe in the product. And let me tell you I've only used this product for one day and absolutely love it! I'm usually a Redken frizz dismiss person but I figured I would try something new based on the reviews. I ran out of redken during this quarantine and ended up having to use drug store shampoo for awhile until I got my order. My hair was so dry and stringy and hard to brush because of it. I couldn't wait to use the shampoo and conditioner to relief my hair and it was so instantaneous!! As soon as I rinsed out the conditioner my hair felt so quenched and smooth! When I dried it out (only with a blow dryer and brush!) my hair was so soft and easy to run my fingers through. It never got tangled and I honestly couldn't stop touching my hair. Even my fiancée and I woke up to my hair being so nice and soft this morning! We were both amazed! I also had a balayage a few months ago that I let grow out. Wow!! This is the best purple shampoo I have ever used. I just had my hair bleached again and my stylist recommended this shampoo to me. When i used it, I accidentally left it on a couple minutes more than the recommended 2-3 minutes and I was terrified it was going to be a disaster. I have a bayalage with my natural dark warm blonde at the top/middle fading into very bleached hair. Anyone who has had their hair like this knows your natural hair won't change tone like the bleached hair will, and I've had purple shampoos leave me with a mess of warm dark blonde with super grey/silver on the lighter parts, with muddiness and patchiness until I washed it a couple more times. After rinsing and drying my hair, I saw that while it did remove the warmth from my bleached ends and highlights, somehow it melted all the shades together beautifully and there is no patchiness between the differing shades. This shampoo lives up to its name! Very impressed. I used Redken long ago but it’s been years since I purchased the brand since I’m always trying new and innovative products. When I received this High Bright line the timing couldn’t have been better and my hair is very light blonde, and I’ve been working hard to combat it becoming brassy from mineral deposits in my well water. Initially I thought this shampoo would have a tint (I assumed blue/purple toning element) so I was surprised to see this was clear. The consistency is thick like a jelly but with major slip. It’s quite a different feeling, but it suds up very well on my scalp. I only wash my hair twice per week so it does get quite greasy but fortunately this cuts through that even without a double wash. I can tell when rinsing out my hair feels smooth even before conditioning to seal everything. The scent is also so delicious- almost like a unisex almost a light cologne scent but not too masculine. I’m combination with the High Bright conditioner, after washing drying and styling as normal I can say that my hair is softer and shinier than it has been in a very long time! Like so shiny it’s what I have been desperately looking for in a product. I’m not sure of the ingredients that make my hair look light and bright, but it is effective and leaves it with a super clean feel (no weight). Will definitely repurchase when I run out. I’ll start by saying I have used many Redken products in the past and I have always been very impressed with this line. It’s also one of the more affordable professional salon brands out there and I highly recommend the brand overall! When I first tried this shampoo I used it in conjunction with the pre treatment spray and conditioner. Using all three of these products together definitely gave the best results! I also used this shampoo without the pre treatment and it still gave a good brightness to my blonde on its own!At first I expected this to be a purple toning shampoo, especially based on the color of the bottle but this in NOT a purple toning shampoo! However this does help to cut brass tones just the same way purple toning shampoos do. The difference is that this does a lot more than just tone! It brightens the blondes and keeps it healthy, shiny and not dried out or hard to manage! I think this is a great shampoo for regular use on blondes since it does keep it healthy and manageable. Unlike purple toning shampoos that should be used less frequently in blonde hair as causes the hair to be dry and frizzy if used too frequently. This shampoo helped to keep my hair looking good in between salon visits! I was also able to go longer in between salon visits with this shampoo! I will definitely be purchasing this again! Just like the High Bright pre-treatment and shampoo, this conditioner is a stellar product! I’m so happy Influenster sent this to me otherwise I may not have tried this line. I was a big Redken fan years ago, but have just wanted to try so many other big lines and new products that I hadn’t gone back to Redken. These products used together are absolutely effective and love you to the claim of bight blonde results. My community well water leaves trace mineral deposits that full my hair and also make it feel brittle, so when I go to my hair girl every 12 weeks she works hard to bleach and tone me (my ends especially) to brighten me up again. I’m a level 9/10, so any products that help are a big plus. What I love about this product is not only the beautiful package and lovely unisex scent, but this conditioner has no toning elements it’s white not blue/purple, and it’s thick like a mask instead of a typical conditioner. I apply after shampooing and let sit for 5-10 minutes while I finish up my shower and rinse out right at the end. Oh my gosh this not only makes my hair look bright and shiny, but My hair is so so soft and smooth. I’m shocked. My hair is softer than it has been in a very long time, even though I use other prestigious hair care products that claim to hydrate. My ends especially need extra moisture and wow do they look great. Regardless if I heat style or air dry, my hair looks smooth with less frizz than before, and so soft. I’m obsessed! Love the packaging design of this in my bathroom. Brightens it up immediately and looks very pretty. However the quality of the plastic is awful and I keep hurting my hand while opening it because it’s difficult to grab the lid to open, and the edges are sharp enough that I’m worried I’ll cut myself one day. Onto the product! It smells like soy and vanilla. I wish the vanilla was more toned down. But fortunate it’s not at an unbearable level for someone sensitive to fragrance like me. As far as sulfate-free shampoos go, this lathered up decently okay (by which I mean not like completely drying) so long as you used a decent amount. Not super softened or magical but it did keep the brassiness of my bleached hair under control. For sulfate free types I think it’s alright if you like the brand and packaging.
This is a really nice silky hydrating leave in conditioner. I like to use it after the shampoo and mask from the same line and I love how it makes my hair feel and look. I apply this from mid to ends and comb and style as usual. It leaves my hair soft and shiny without being too heavy. It has some of my favorite nourishing ingredients like argan oil and marula oil. Just like the shampoo, it has a slight lower PH which is what I look for in hair care products since they hydrate but are less damaging. It’s perfect for every day hydration and helps a lot with frizz control, especially on thick wavy hair like mine! I just love the moisture I get from the Drunk Elephant Silkamino Mega-Moisturizing Shampoo for my hair and my scalp loves it too! This really is a deeply moisturizing shampoo I truly feel my hair gets plenty of moisture and feels healthier with use, looks shinier, softer too, and even stronger. It does a great job too at deep cleansing away all my product buildup I have in my hair from all the hair products I use which is a plus, plus dirt, sweat, and oils too it cleanses away. What I like is that soothes my scalp too which is something I was looking for while also looking for something with all these other properties so this shampoo really does it all and my scalp does feel so much better and healthier too! This shampoo has a nice thick formula so all you need is a little to lather up so it’ll last you a long time and I only use a small amount on my past below my shoulders wavy bleached hair. Well, super bummed. I liked the light scent. It doesn't smell "good" but not bad either and it doesn't linger so I don't care about that. First time I used, literally thought I forgot to rinse conditioner out. So I washed next day (usually only wash twice a week). My hair was fine, but seemed a bit heavy. Used it yesterday without the conditioner this time because I used a hair mask (which I've been using for years). Could tell immediately when rinsing the mask my hair felt really weird. Then again today everything but the top most layer is a weird filmy greasy mess! So it's not just the conditioner, but the shampoo. It leaves a gross film on my hair making it super greasy. I have an oilier scalp but I can still go days between washes. This stuff somehow has the strands extremely oily! Will definitely return this one. Hot, dry climate + curls = extra dry hair. I'm an Ulta employee and I decided to try this when we first got it in our location. I tried the Ghost line's kit and it just wasn't for me (I feel that it weighed my hair down a bit but my hair is really finicky) so I was afraid to try the hydration line. My hair isn't super fine but it's also not really thick, just kinda in the middle, but I have A LOT of hair. I used to get a full highlight every three months for 8 years before deciding to dye it darker. My hair is a little damaged to say the least and it's pretty dry. I tried the shampoo and conditioner, and was surprised at how nice the shampoo lathered despite being sulfate free. Over time I noticed that my hair didn't fade as quickly as when I used my bumble and bumble line. My hair felt healthier and hydrated, but without any weird residue, texture, or weigh down. I really like this shampoo. I have uneven tones on my hair. Some parts of my hair is a level 9 blonde while the lower part is a level 8 blonde. I can see the shampoo after wash leaves behind an ashy tone to the hair. I guess you have to use to frequently. I wouldn’t say it would entirely make your hair into ashy grey but somewhat tries to tone down that orangey or yellowness of hair. It isn't the worst, but there are better. The smell is sickly sweet. I'm forever chasing the ash after bleaching my hair… So the ever growing collection of purple shampoos and conditioners I have is getting ridiculous. It's drying much like most purple shampoos. How well it works will depend on how porous your hair is, those of us who bleach our hair to the point that it's devoid of all actual color our hair is far more likely to grab any color that walks by and try it on so take that into consideration. If you use a purple shampoo that leaves too much of a purple cast (is there such a thing?) wash it with your regular not purple shampoo once or twice and it should pull the tint out and still leave the tone behind. If your hair is uber yellow, put it on dry and leave it on for 15-30 minutes and then shower and condition it well. I pulled henna from my hair and bleached it, but now have silver/white/ash blonde hair. It took me a few weeks to finally get to here and not be bald. Purple shampoo is for yellow tones, if you have orange go with a blue tone.kto

I received this shampoo complimentary from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I have long, straight blonde hair with a few gray hairs here and there. I am usually concerned about how a new shampoo will work in my hair because I have an oily scalp. I shampoo my hair daily for that reason. This shampoo made my hair feel so clean and soft. My scalp didn't feel oily and dirty 24 hours later like it does with a lot of shampoos that I've tried. Smells like, well… shampoo. Nothing offensive or overwhelming about the scent. Washes just fine, but what shampoo with sulfates doesn’t? I wash my hair maybe twice a week, as more than that is serious overkill; I can’t be the only one with a WFH job these days, so doing my hair in anything other than a 30 second bun is asking a bit much. I will say I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t fully strip my hair, as most sulfate laden shampoos tend to do, so that was cool. Not sure how much, if any, difference the purple coloring did for my blonde hair….as I’m fairly certain my hairdresser (who I’ve seen once in the past 12 months) will make more of a difference. We will soon be (finally!) going home to the BFs country where summer will be in full swing when we arrive….I’m looking forward to seeing if this shampoo conditioner make a difference as the sun bleaches the bejeezus outta my hair. So this actually arrived at a great time, as I just lightened my hair and it was super brassy!! Works like a charm!! It definitely toned down those yellows and left my hair feeling clean, yet hydrated. Far better than other blue/purple shampoos I’ve used in the past. The shampoo itself is a DEEP purple, almost black, and I have to say I was a little hesitant, but I went ahead anyway and I was happy I did. It provides great lather, turns the bubbles a lovely shade of lavender and smells phenomenal. I am usually sensitive to fragrances, and this isn’t overly floral or heavy, just a light, clean scent.
